[0:28][Music] tonight we want to shed light on another grave sin that
[0:45]the quran and that is consuming the wealth of the orphan oppressively
[0:52]as you know due to the circumstances of this world and the
[0:59]different events that take place there are certain people who lose their
[1:08]fathers or their parents when they are at a young age they
[1:14]lose their fathers or parents before they reach the stage of puberty
[1:19]and such people are called orphans usually when a person becomes an
[1:30]orphan someone most likely a relative of his takes care of him
[1:35]and that gordian of the orphan views that the wealth of the
[1:42]orphan is under his control since human beings are somewhat greedy in
[1:50]general of course since humans are somewhat greedy sometimes a person might
[1:56]be fooled into believing that he can make use of the orphans
[2:05]money in any way or form and that even if he crosses
[2:09]his limits regarding that money or that wealth no one can do
[2:15]anything about it here al-quran kareem makes a bold statement telling that
[2:23]individual to fear allah and telling him that if he consumes the
[2:29]money of the orphan oppressively then he should expect a tremendous punishment
[2:37]from allah what does allah say allah says in surat in isa
[2:44]verse 10 vulmar as for those who swallow the property of the
[3:00]orphans unjustly surely they only swallow fire into their bellies realize what
[3:08]the quran is saying here is pointing to the reality of deeds
[3:18]you see our deeds have realities there's a reality for prayer a
[3:24]reality for fasting a reality for this sin and that sin disobedience
[3:30]and that obedience etc the reality of consuming the wealth of the
[3:37]orphan is what is a fire that comes down the throat of
[3:43]that unjust individual it comes down his throat so it's as if
[3:50]allah is saying do you see this money that belongs to the
[3:56]orphan when you cross your limits and you use it in unlawful
[4:00]ways and you buy for example foods or drinks with that money
[4:06]you imagine that you're eating food that you're consuming food and drinks
[4:11]but the reality is you're consuming fire right now you don't see
[4:18]that fire and you don't feel it but one day you will
[4:20]when when the curtain of the hereafter is lifted when that curtain
[4:29]is lifted we will witness the reality of our deeds then allah
[4:34]says he says and they shall enter burning fire so here you
[4:44]find allah azzawajal threatening those who misuse the wealth or the money
[4:54]of the orphan similarly the quran if kareem presents different pieces of
[5:00]advice regarding the orphans if you skim through the holy quran you'll
[5:06]find plenty of verses speaking about the importance of treating the orphans
[5:14]well and the danger of mistreating them the reason behind this is
[5:22]the orphan is a weak creation and loves those who are weak
[5:29]allah azzawajal takes it upon himself to defend the weak thus he
[5:35]who consumes the wealth of the orphan oppressively or mistreats the orphan
[5:41]in general for mistreating them is unlawful he who mistreats the orphans
[5:47]in general or consumes their money unlawfully should rush towards what towards
[5:51]repenting and seeking forgiveness from the orphans because when you mistreat an
[5:57]orphan you or i you or i are entering what we're entering
[6:05]a battle with who with allah subhanahu wa and that my friends
[6:14]is frightening i'll mention a tradition that you can find in the
[6:20]book of shaykh which tells you a lot about how much allah
[6:24]cares for the orphans and how despicable is the person who mistreats
[6:30]them the tradition goes back to a man called abu mariam al-ansari
[6:35]he says that the prophet says the prophet says surely if the
[6:47]orphan cries the throne of god shakes for that orphan now bear
[6:54]in mind allah isn't physical he's not material and he's not sitting
[6:59]on anything let alone sitting on a chair or a throne but
[7:04]there is a physical throne created by allah and according to the
[7:13]traditions of that throne is a massive creation a creation more spacious
[7:20]and wider than all seven skies put together the prophet says when
[7:26]the orphan cries what happens the throne of god shakes which indicates
[7:31]that something dangerous something grave is happening here the the lord says
[7:46]he says who is the one who made my slave cry allah
[7:52]is referring to the orphan who is the savior allah he says
[8:00]who is the one who made my slave cry that slave whom
[8:07]i took his parents when he was a child meaning before he
[8:11]reached the stage of puberty allah says i took his parents i
[8:17]know that i took them to the hereafter and that he became
[8:25]an orphan thus i want people to treat him well the presence
[8:29]of the orphan is a test for us now listen to the
[8:35]remainder of the tradition the prophet says allah says i swear by
[8:48]my mightiness and my majesty anyone who silences that orphan the orphan
[8:55]who's crying anyone who silences him will be placed in heaven in
[9:02]fact he says i will make it mandatory upon myself to place
[9:07]him in heaven here through this tradition we understand how dangerous it
[9:13]is to make an orphan cry and to mistreat him and how
[9:21]important it is to treat the orphan well indeed by treating the
[9:26]orphan well one might reach high levels of perfection in the eyes
[9:32]of allah thus you find that used to show the orphans special
[9:40]care especially the first imam who was known to be the father
[9:46]of the orphans hence on the day of his mortar them the
[9:49]orphans truly felt like they lost their father especially the orphans of
[9:59]iraq used to show them special care the narrator says that imam
[10:08]ali would call the orphans and would feed them honey he himself
[10:12]would feed them honey with his own pure hands such that the
[10:17]near eater says i wish i was an orphan when he saw
[10:21]how imam ali he said i'm used to treat the orphans he
[10:24]said i wish i was one of them because he wanted to
[10:30]get that treatment from amirah indeed by treating the orphans well we
[10:37]can acquire billions in fact zillions of good deeds i'll leave you
[10:45]with three traditions tonight that you can find in the books the
[10:53]first one is a tradition going back to imam assad sadiq is
[11:00]narrated [Music] or a believing woman places his or her hand on
[11:35]the head of an orphan out of mercy for that orphan as
[11:39]in they're placing their hands on the head of the orphan because
[11:42]they feel pity they feel sympathy for the orphan when they put
[11:47]their hands on the head of the orphan and they pat his
[11:52]head allah subhanahu wa tahana does what allah azzawajal grants them a
[11:57]good deed for every hair that was touched by his or her
[12:02]hand by every hair that was touched by their hands this tradition
[12:09]tells you a lot this tradition shows you how much rewards you
[12:15]can acquire if you treat the orphans well in a second tradition
[12:39]he says whenever a slave of god places his hand on the
[12:46]head of an orphan out of mercy for that orphan and he
[12:51]pats his head allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala does grants that individual on the
[13:02]day of judgment a light for every hair touched by his hand
[13:08]every hair on the orphan's head touched by the hand of that
[13:15]individual here imam assange is notifying us about a different matter you
[13:18]see the first tradition spoke about good deeds this one is speaking
[13:24]about light why because on the day of judgment people will experience
[13:29]darkness or darknesses the day of judgment will be a dark day
[13:35]and we will be in need of every single form of light
[13:40]allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala will present us hence the imam says if you
[13:46]want light on that day if you want to see your path
[13:49]on the day of judgement then wipe the heads of the orphans
[13:53]show them care now the question is if wiping or patting the
[14:00]head of the orphan is so rewarding then what is the reward
[14:05]of he who feeds the orphan clothes the orphan of he who
[14:12]presents medication to the orphan of he who instills happiness in the
[14:14]heart of the orphan what is the reward of the person who
[14:18]completely sustains the orphan meaning he makes sure to pay for all
[14:26]of his expenses indeed his reward is beyond imagination here i'd like
[14:34]to make a side comment today alhamdulillah allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala has given
[14:44]us multiple opportunities to acquire billions and zillions of good deeds and
[14:53]to reach higher levels of perfection in the eyes of allah wa
[15:01]tahalah as the great marja said ali sistani may allah prolong his
[15:07]life has established a foundation known as through this foundation alhamdulillah thousands
[15:13]of orphans are being sustained and you and i my brothers and
[15:21]sisters can take role can take part in sustaining these orphans if
[15:28]you can't if you can't support them financially then the least we
[15:34]can do is support them emotionally and spiritually the least we can
[15:39]do is support them support those who are on the front lines
[15:45]those who are taking care of the orphans however if you have
[15:50]a little bit of extra money then it would be wise to
[15:56]send part of that money if not all of it to the
[16:00]orphans of iraq for you never know possibly it will be because
[16:06]of that deed that allah will place you in heaven with the
[16:11]father of the orphans indeed the existence the presence of the orphans
[16:22]is a mercy is a form of mercy from allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala
[16:27]because through them we can enter heaven through them we can self-purify
[16:34]in fact through them you can soften your heart meaning your spiritual
[16:43]heart you see sometimes a person gets to a state in which
[16:47]he feels that his heart has become hard his heart has hardened
[16:53]for example he hears the story of musa and how allah azza
[17:01]was punished fear on his people or the story of salah salaam
[17:06]and how allah punished those who slew the she camel or the
[17:11]story of salaam and how allah azzawajal punished the people of luth
[17:17]but he feels that he's not affected similarly sometimes a person might
[17:26]hear the tragedies that be felt he feels untouched he feels that
[17:35]he's not affected here this could be a sign of what of
[17:40]it could be a sign that the spiritual heart has hardened thus
[17:45]a person would be in need of doing deeds that soften his
[17:50]heart one of those deeds believe it or not is what one
[17:55]of those deeds is treating the orphan wow and i'll give you
[18:03]more detail as we read a beautiful tradition by rasulallah the prophet
[18:10]says that the prophet says the prophet says if a person feels
[18:33]that his heart has hardened then let him then let him bring
[18:40]an orphan close to him and let him treat that orphan with
[18:48]care with kindness and let him pat the head of the orphan
[18:50]if he does so with allah's permission that person's heart will soften
[18:57]then he said surely the orphan has a right has a great
[19:05]right over the people in a second version of the same tradition
[19:12]the prophet says that the person should bring the orphan and do
[19:19]what yo you should make him sit with him on the dining
[19:24]table meaning he should allow the orphan to eat with him from
[19:29]the from the same dining table and he should pat the head
[19:36]of the orphan at that point his heart will soften if he
[19:46]does so his heart will soften with allah's permission so in short
[19:52]brothers and sisters we understand that treating the biological orphans the orphans
[20:01]who lost their biological parents is an impeccable deed which leaves us
[20:09]with one question one more question for tonight that is if that
[20:16]is if whatever we mentioned is part of the reward of those
[20:20]who treat the biological orphans well then what is the reward of
[20:29]those who take care of the spiritual orphans who is the spiritual
[20:32]orphan the spiritual orphan is the one who is unable to meet
[20:36]his imam [Music] you see tonight is the evil friday hence we
[20:42]need to mention the master of friday may allah hasten his reappearance
[20:51]today we live the era of occupation and in that era we're
[21:00]unable to meet our imam whenever we want we're unable to see
[21:06]him whenever we want are although we know we're certain that he's
[21:09]with us that he watches over us and that he's with us
[21:18]on earth thus all of us are the orphans of sahibu zaman
[21:24]just as the biological orphan is in need of a caretaker the
[21:31]spiritual orphan is also in need of a caretaker who is his
[21:36]caretaker during the occupation of the imam is it imam and indeed
[21:42]without doubt imam almighty has his touches and is an active imam
[21:45]during the air of occultation but there is also a second caretaker
[21:51]and that is the scholar of the scholar who learned the sciences
[21:57]of those callers who come forth and teach us the teachings of
[22:09]adhd and the laws of during the era of occupation are what
[22:14]they're the caretakers of the orphans of and muhammad was what is
[22:20]their reward their reward is beyond imagination i'll leave you with a
[22:25]narration through which will conclude the session a narration you can find
[22:31]in the book the chain of narrators goes back to imam alaska
[22:38]he he says that although the biological orphan who lost his parents
[23:04]goes through a difficult state there's someone who goes to a more
[23:08]difficult state who is it it is the spiritual orphan the spiritual
[23:18]orphan meaning the person who is unable to meet his imam he
[23:34]says the spiritual orphan is the one who is unable to meet
[23:41]his imam unable to reach him meaning to reach him whenever he
[23:48]wants and on top of that he is ignorant of his laws
[23:51]he does not know the laws of god subhanallah what he is
[23:55]allowed to do what he is not allowed to do he does
[23:58]not know the details regarding islamic jurisprudence regarding the jurisprudence of then
[24:07]the prophet makes a bold statement he says who knows their teachings
[24:31]who knows their sciences meaning he knows what ahlulbait said and what
[24:39]taught that person should know that the ignorant she the ignorant follower
[24:48]of who does not know his laws and who is unable to
[24:52]see his imam is an orphan under his care meaning the scholar
[24:57]is responsible of what of taking care of that spiritual orphan ya
[25:04]rasulallah what will you give those caretakers he says he who guides
[25:23]that orphan that spiritual orphan and teaches him our laws will be
[25:31]with us in heaven he will be with us in heaven as
[25:34]we reside with the prophets may allah make us from those who
[25:46]take care of the biological and spiritual orphans foreign
