[0:28]m so as we said um we're continuing with the lessons onas
[0:52]suras is one of the shortest chapters in Al Quran Kim but
[0:59]also one of the most important chapters there's one interesting point regarding
[1:03]Al Quran and that is um in fact there are many interesting
[1:08]points but one of the interesting points of alquran Kim about alquran
[1:13]Kim is that the short chapters are not any less important or
[1:18]mesmerizing than the long chapters okay all chapters are obviously important but
[1:23]even then we realize from the traditions of or from the Quran
[1:30]itself that certain chapters are better or more important than others for
[1:36]example um based on alran we understand that is the most important
[1:48]chapter in alquran which consists of seven verses and it's a short
[1:53]chapter it is the most important chapter in The Holy bookas a
[2:00]chapter consisting of of four verses four verses three or four uh
[2:10]this chapter uh equates onethird of alquran based on what based on
[2:16]the traditions of such that Traditions tell us if you recite suras
[2:19]three times you will be as if you've recited the whole Quran
[2:26]it will be as if you've recited the whole Quran soah is
[2:29]is a very important chapter and a very deep one uh its
[2:33]verses are short but they're very deep and you understand how deep
[2:41]they are when you look at what said as they explained the
[2:46]short verses ofah so last year alhamdulillah we took seven lessons and
[2:51]we were looking at the first verse say he is Allah and
[3:00]he is is what he is he is Ahad one translation for
[3:05]the word Ahad is one okay Ahad means one all right what
[3:10]does that mean what does Ahad mean we have you know multiple
[3:17]interpretations for the word one of which is that Allah subhanahu wa
[3:25]ta'ala one of which is that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala um is
[3:31]uh indivisible you can't divide Allah subh tala uh sure if you
[3:44]know them yeah go ahead no problem so one of the meanings
[3:47]of is that Allah means what he's indivisible you can't divide him
[3:55]he is indivisible in the Outdoor World so he can't divide the
[3:58]essence of Allah tala and you can't divide him um through your
[4:03]intellect nor through your your imagination he's completely indivisible say like every
[4:18]attribute is different to what it's attributed like what he saying do
[4:22]not attribute any anything to Allah because every attribut is what it's
[4:26]attributed we also say like how you're saying he can't be separated
[4:29]uhhuh meaning his they're not necessarily attributes they're neither part of him
[4:40]it is him so when we say Allah is right he's indivisible
[4:44]it means that there's no difference between Allah's attribute and Allah himself
[4:51]make sense and this is where we move to the the second
[4:57]point which we're going to dissect um which we're going to to
[5:01]uh look at uh thoroughly inshallah subhanahu waala uh the verse indicates
[5:09]that Allah is perfect and that in itself is very important once
[5:14]you understand that Allah subhana wa T is perfect then number one
[5:17]you'll you'll enhance your understanding of of God and at the same
[5:24]time you will not attribute any imperfection to God someone is absolutely
[5:28]perfect it means what means he does not hold any type of
[5:32]incompletion whatever that incompletion may be whether it's something we can imagine
[5:38]or something we can't imagine this is a very very important point
[5:45]now how does indicate that Allah is perfect you imagine Allah has
[5:50]to say say he is Allah and he's complete right he said
[5:57]what does have to do with perfection let's take a look let
[6:06]me just move the camera so the other students can see what
[6:12]we are writing okay so what does have to do with with
[6:20]perfection this is where we go to the attributes of the creation
[6:23]and the attributes of Allah subhana wa tala there's a difference between
[6:28]them so start with the attributes or say the traits of the
[6:32]creation okay so we'll start with traits of who of the creation
[6:44]you can take down notes it's fine if you want so when
[6:51]we look at the traits of the creation what do we see
[6:55]we see that the creation is different than his or her trait
[6:59]they're different the trait is one thing the creation the essence of
[7:04]the creation is something else so methan we have let's say a
[7:10]man called ja or a lady called Zab ja and Zab have
[7:20]traits ja one day he's sick one day he's healthy ja one
[7:35]day is ignorant he a ignorant and actually ignorance is something that
[7:44]we human beings cannot Escape even if you learn even if you
[7:48]specialize in a particular field you will always be afflicted Afflicted with
[7:53]some sort of ignorance some type of ignorance you might specialize methan
[7:58]in medicine but if you specialize in medicine medic you know a
[8:02]lot about the world of medicine but you don't know a lot
[8:05]about the world of let's say uh religion for example or the
[8:12]world of uh architecture or other types of Sciences engineering so on
[8:16]so forth right so we might learn let's say a hundred a
[8:19]thousand a million pieces of knowledge but then we'll be ignorant of
[8:25]what of one billion one trillion one zillion pieces of knowledge right
[8:30]so ignorance is not something that we can escape us human beings
[8:34]yes we said this once and we'll say it again were given
[8:39]knowledge of what of everything with Allah's permission subhah wa tala with
[8:47]Allah's permission J and even then there was at least one thing
[8:51]that was you know kept away from as an cannot know that
[8:59]specific thing because their creation of God and that is the reality
[9:03]of Allah's Essence no one knows the full reality the complete reality
[9:08]of Allah's Essence other than Allah subhana wa tala this is something
[9:12]that the creation cannot know yes they had the best type of
[9:18]the best type of understanding or knowledge regarding who Allah is that
[9:23]the creation can reach so going back to our example here we
[9:30]said jaf sometimes he's sick sometimes he's ignorant sometimes he's what he's
[9:34]knowledgeable he learns so he becomes what knowledgeable sometimes he's weak and
[9:45]sometimes he's what strong and the same applies to Zab she also
[9:51]goes through the same phases sometimes she's healthy sometimes she's sick sometimes
[10:00]she's strong sometimes she's weak so on so forth what do you
[10:03]realize the sick jaur is also the healthy jaf and the jafer
[10:11]who's ignorant is also the jaf who's knowledgeable the Zab who's weak
[10:17]is also the Zab who's strong which means that the essence of
[10:22]these individuals is different than their traits I'm not talking about the
[10:30]the infall here not talking just talking about any random individual called
[10:33]ja or Z so we realize that because uh these people are
[10:41]going through different phases and they're acquiring different traits yet their Essence
[10:45]is not changing it means that the essence is different than what
[10:49]different than the trait make sense so with the creation again the
[10:59]Ence of the creation is different than his trait and vice versa
[11:03]but with the Creator that does not apply traits of the Creator
[11:14]regarding Allah subhana wa ta'ala his traits are what are his essence
[11:25]you can say traits or attributes same thing his traits his attributes
[11:29]are his Essence subhanahu wa tala they're the essence of God why
[11:45]are we saying that why must we say that the essence of
[11:49]Allah is his traits and the traits of Allah are his Essence
[11:59]say beautiful right perfect if we said that the traits of God
[12:15]subhanahu wa ta'ala are different than his Essence then basically that would
[12:25]mean uh that would mean you have multiple gods because we're supposing
[12:29]that all of these traits always existed so you have the essence
[12:33]of God that always existed and then you have his traits which
[12:38]are different than his Essence that also always existed they have no
[12:42]beginning so you'd be saying that there are multiple gods and it's
[12:45]impossible to have multiple gods in existence impossible why we can discuss
[12:51]that later if you'd like logically speaking logic tells you you cannot
[12:56]have more than one God okay so if we said that let's
[13:05]write this down if we say sorry if we say that the
[13:18]traits of Allah are different then his Essence we would be saying
[14:05]that number one there are multiple gods in existence multiple gods not
[14:19]just one I want to elaborate on that point so we can
[14:25]understand why why would we be saying there are multiple gods okay
[14:30]why so you have Allah subhana wa tala so you have the
[14:39]essence of Allah when I say Essence I mean who God is
[14:44]all right his character just trying to use different words so you
[14:48]can understand what I mean when I say Essence so you have
[14:50]the essence of God now Allah has attributes right for example he's
[14:55]knowledgeable right so you have knowledge Allah is also what powerful he's
[15:11]powerful he's able to do anything right he's alive right is he
[15:19]dead or alive he's what right he's alive he's he's the all
[15:23]living he doesn't die subhana wa T he's never Afflicted with death
[15:29]so Allah is the all living these are traits right life knowledge
[15:37]power okay I wrote knowledge and power uh and let me write
[15:46]power WR powerful and also life so he has life he has
[15:53]power he has knowledge if I say that these traits are different
[15:57]than Allah's essence then basically I would be saying that Allah subhana
[16:03]wa ta'ala is not one God there isn't one God in existence
[16:07]there are multiple gods because each of these traits existed before any
[16:14]other Creation in fact never had a beginning so if the life
[16:20]of Allah is different than his own Essence and it did not
[16:24]have a beginning that means what we call life is a second
[16:30]God but wait for a second if the knowledge of God is
[16:35]also different than his Essence then that would also mean you have
[16:39]a third God right it's different than his his Essence and it
[16:45]doesn't have a beginning so it's a third God the same applies
[16:47]to power so now you have four gods and the more traits
[16:52]you you um you imagine right the more Gods you will have
[16:57]so the more traits you discover the more Gods you will have
[17:03]yes the become their own exactly so each tree becomes its own
[17:07]God becomes God in itself make sense so you have God one
[17:12]God two God three God God four Etc and as we said
[17:14]there are logical proofs that alone textual proofs indicating that you can
[17:18]only have one God it's impossible to have multiple gods J this
[17:26]is one reason why we say the traits of Allah are his
[17:30]Essence there's no difference between them okay but there's also a second
[17:36]reason what's the second reason the second reason is if we say
[17:50]that the traits of Allah are different than his Essence we would
[17:52]be saying that Allah is composed of parts that Allah is what
[18:05]composed of Parts which would imply that he needs his Parts without
[18:14]his Parts he wouldn't be God why again going back to the
[18:22]essence say Allah subhana wa T is present okay and Allah has
[18:25]what Allah has traits he has for example knowledge he's he has
[18:29]power he has life if we say his his uh traits are
[18:36]different than his Essence J but we also understand that Allah subhana
[18:47]T cannot be Allah without his traits what what would that imply
[18:51]it would imply that he's composed of parts so the god that
[18:58]we're talking about cannot be God if he's not merciful s cannot
[19:01]be God if he's not uh if he's not let's say powerful
[19:07]if he's not alive if he's not let's say knowledgeable correct so
[19:14]that being said if you're saying his trait his traits are different
[19:18]than his Essence you're basically saying he's composed of Parts which would
[19:24]imply that he needs the parts and need is a trait that
[19:32]cannot be attributed to God if you understand who God is if
[19:37]you understand who he is subhana T you'll know that he cannot
[19:40]need anything this is something that's quite logical and one can understand
[19:45]it by you know simply referring to his to his human nature
[19:49]or to his to his intellect make sense are my words clear
[19:57]yeah you sure you have a question you can ask that's fine
[20:03]any questions from the students online no questions okay so those are
[20:26]those are two MA major problems if some one were to say
[20:30]that Allah's traits are different than his Essence I want to make
[20:34]one comment before we continue with the main subject regarding Mercy I
[20:38]said you know Allah subh wouldn't be Allah if he's not merciful
[20:41]what I meant is that he wouldn't be God if he was
[20:47]devoid of of Mercy as in he shows no mercy at all
[20:51]yes sometimes Allah subhana wa tala might not show a particular creation
[20:56]of his Mercy because he's punishing that creation and the creation deserves
[21:02]what deserves punishment so Allah blesses for example the the Believers on
[21:07]the day of judgment and he deprives the kufar the disbelievers of
[21:10]Mercy on that day that's fine because they deserve what those people
[21:14]deserve the punishment of God on the day of judgment because of
[21:19]what because of their disbelief and because of their misbehavior but to
[21:24]come and say Allah Asel shows no one any Mercy that that
[21:28]does not make sense because it contradicts who Allah is Allah is
[21:37]a merciful Lord he a merciful Lord so now the question question
[21:59]is you told us indicates that Allah is is perfect what's the
[22:06]connection between those two what's the connection well we said one of
[22:13]the meanings of is say he is Allah he is indivisible aad
[22:17]means indivisible you can't divide Allah in any way or form which
[22:24]implies that he has he has no parts that he's not composed
[22:27]of Parts Subhan if he's not de if he's not composed of
[22:33]of Parts um what would that mean he's simple so you cannot
[22:42]detach the traits of Allah from one another right so Allah subhana
[22:51]wa tala Allah is what is his knowledge we say Allah is
[22:55]knowledgeable right you're knowledgeable you can be knowledgeable your knowledge as a
[23:01]creation is different than your essence isn't that what we said for
[23:05]Allah canot be different no when we say Allah T is knowledgeable
[23:10]we're saying he is his knowledge okay he is his own knowledge
[23:15]subhana wa tala one might say you know does that mean Allah
[23:21]subhana T is math Allah is science Allah is you know biology
[23:24]and chemistry no no no no that's a creative type of knowledge
[23:29]when we're talking about Allah's knowledge you're talking about the knowledge of
[23:33]the Creator and that's his own Essence okay how is his knowledge
[23:40]his own Essence there's no how this is where the the word
[23:43]how you know falls apart there's no how how is a word
[23:47]that applies to the creation not to the Creator Allah subh tala
[23:52]the word how does not apply to him okay so he is
[23:59]his knowledge he is his power he is his life his life
[24:01]is his power his power is his life his power is his
[24:06]knowledge his knowledge is his power make sense so the attributes of
[24:10]God subhanahu wa ta'ala the attributes of God are God himself is
[24:20]that clear s complicated before I mention how indicates that he's perfect
[24:29]I need to mention one more point and I hope you're focused
[24:32]with me I know this is a deep a deep topic but
[24:35]I have to mention it so that no one you know uh
[24:37]misunderstands what we're saying so we said Allah subhana wa ta'ala is
[24:56]his own traits or call them attributes okay now when we look
[25:07]at the attributes of God we realize that he has two types
[25:33]of attributes I said this last year but I'm repeating it know
[25:40]we have new students we have positive attributes and then we have
[25:46]negative attributes as soon as you hear that Allah subhana wa taala
[25:51]has a negative attribute you might find that weird right you might
[25:55]find it bizarre right what's so negative about Allah subh how could
[25:59]he have negative attributes so what do you think how can Allah
[26:05]have negative attributes what is the meaning of a negative attribute false
[26:18]attributes okay we're getting close and your your idea is correct I
[26:22]just needed to be worded differently yes yeah I'm you had a
[26:42]comment so the negative attributes are basically attributes that negate that's why
[26:52]they're called Negative they negate forms of incompletion we negate any form
[27:02]of incompletion from Allah we said Allah is perfect from all angles
[27:06]he's absolutely per perfect so it means he has no incompletions and
[27:11]soon I'm going to explain to you how all of this is
[27:14]connected to like what like stupidity God is not stupid ignorance God
[27:28]is not ignorant stinginess God is not stingy weakness God is not
[27:35]weak being a human Allah is not a human being an animal
[27:38]Allah is not an animal and the list goes on it goes
[27:45]on any attribute or any that you can negate from Allah subhana
[27:51]wa taala any attribute that that gives a particular uh form of
[27:57]incompletion to God J when you you're negating that attribute whatever you're
[28:05]doing is basically a negative attribute of God so in in in
[28:11]better terms better terms the negative attributes are the ones that negate
[28:16]forms of incompletion and tell you that Allah does not hold those
[28:23]forms of incompletion like as we said Allah is is not stingy
[28:32]you'll find these attributes you know scattered throughout and throughout the narrations
[28:41]of for example in says Allah feeds but is not what he's
[29:02]not fed he's not fed that's a negative attribute because if Allah
[29:09]tal were to be fed it would mean he needs the food
[29:11]and need is not part of God's attributes not part of who
[29:17]Allah is yes uh Allah guides Allah guides people and Allah misguides
[29:34]not in the sense that he leads people astray like the shaan
[29:41]does no he misguides in the sense that uh the human being
[29:47]will choose to follow the path of misguidance and Allah will allow
[29:51]him to do so okay so in that sense he misguides I'll
[29:56]choose to dis obey Allah if Allah wants he can paralyze me
[30:01]to stop me to stop me from the Disobedience but he doesn't
[30:05]so in that from from that uh uh perspective in that sense
[30:12]yes he misguides so again misguidance comes from Allah in what sense
[30:18]in the sense that when someone chooses the path of misguidance at
[30:22]certain times Allah will allow that person to walk on that path
[30:28]yeah but Allah does not take the role of the devil right
[30:39]well Allah tal guides people obviously he is Al he is the
[30:46]guider or the guide so he does guide and he guides people
[30:48]through different means different means but does he misguide anyone no as
[30:54]in does he initially lead people astray and tell them to follow
[31:00]the path of evil no he doesn't he doesn't he supports people
[31:05]so they may do well he gives us the the body parts
[31:08]and the the the senses the energy we need to do good
[31:13]deeds but then we end up misbehaving and we use that same
[31:21]energy or body parts or senses to disobey Allah subhanahu so here
[31:27]when Allah tala allows us to become misled he'll tell you Allah
[31:31]misguided them that's the meaning of misguiding us but in reality it's
[31:38]not him who misguided us it's we it's us who chose the
[31:42]path of misguidance well and we persisted on walking on that pa
[31:50]okay so this is an example of a negative attribute Allah is
[31:55]not stingy as for the positive attributes what are those yes abdah
[32:14]so basically we're talking about traits that confirm a particular type of
[32:19]completion and tell you that Allah T holds that type of completion
[32:24]like Allah being merciful Allah Allah is knowledgeable Allah is the all
[32:30]wise Allah is the all forgiving Al he is Al the loving
[32:35]so on so forth you have a long list of attributes also
[32:42]scattered where in alquran and in the narrations of why go so
[32:47]far has a thousand what names of Allah each passage has 10
[32:55]names and you'll find certain names holding negative attributes and certain names
[33:00]holding positive attributes so an example of a positive attribute is Allah
[33:10]subhana wa ta'ala is all wise or he's all powerful right now
[33:21]when we delve deeper into the positive attributes we realize that we
[33:27]can put them in two different categories attributes of essence and attributes
[33:32]of action so attributes of essence and then you have attributes of
[33:55]action the attributes of essence and the attributes of action when we're
[34:02]talking about attributes of essence obviously from the name you understand what
[34:07]we're saying we're talking about the attributes that are Allah's Essence there's
[34:12]no difference between them as for the attributes of action also from
[34:17]the name you understand that we're talking about actions which stem from
[34:22]Allah subh so attributes that pertain to actions stemming from God okay
[34:28]like sustaining people when Allah sustains you when he gives you oxygen
[34:35]when he gives you food he gives you drinks that's an action
[34:42]stemming from who from godp when Allah punishes someone that's an action
[34:50]it's an action it's not Allah the action is not God it's
[34:55]not Allah himself it's an action coming from him stemming from him
[34:58]when Allah subhana waala creates he creates the prophet Al planets Stars
[35:08]humans gens Etc is the creation the Creator it's not it's an
[35:15]action Allah he's he's performing an action there's an action stemming from
[35:23]him hence you have Creations that are popping into existence s so
[35:29]how do we differentiate between attributes of essence and attributes of action
[35:33]when we're talking about positive attributes they're both uh types of positive
[35:40]attributes they both fall under the positive attribute category so how do
[35:46]we differentiate between those two can someone tell me repeat the question
[35:53]yes so we're saying that the positive attributes we can divide them
[35:59]into what attributes of essence and attributes of action now we said
[36:08]these attributes indicate that Allah holds a particular type of completion correct
[36:13]and we said when we're talking about the attributes of essence we're
[36:16]talking about the attributes which are Allah they are God subhana there's
[36:24]no difference between them and Allah as for the attributes of action
[36:28]we're talking about attributes speaking about actions that stem from God the
[36:38]action of God is different than God keep that in mind the
[36:42]action of God is different than God Allah punishes ABAB that punishment
[36:50]which Abu laab is receiving is not God it's a creation of
[36:54]God when Allah gives me oxygen and allows me to live okay
[37:01]that action giving me oxygen is not God it's stemming from Allah
[37:06]subhana wa taala the oxygen is not God it's stemming from Allah
[37:11]he's creating it so how do we differentiate between an attribute of
[37:17]of essence and an attribute of action that's the question Ali and
[37:25]then ABD yes how so okay for to understand understand tell you
[37:54]giving something that you can or you know understanding okay but the
[38:04]the question remains what is you know one main difference between those
[38:09]two attributes which we can refer to we can refer to that
[38:12]difference to make the distinction and to pinpoint that this is an
[38:17]attribute of action and this is an attribute of essence yes okay
[38:50]very good very good yeah we're almost there what you said is
[38:57]true it's it's it's 100% true but the the answer I was
[39:03]looking for is the following gave this answer you know who is
[39:10]right who is he the author of alfi write that name down
[39:23]and one day you will need to mention she alfi possibly he
[39:40]had other books butf is more than enough is one of the
[39:48]most important books and the content of alfi in general is correct
[39:55]the content and the general content of alfi is correct and accepted
[39:59]by our yes there might be question marks about certain but in
[40:07]general whatever it presents is a okay yes that by his student
[40:19]contains the words of IM Ali but the person who compiled those
[40:27]words those sermons letters and short sayings is called and sometimes he
[40:34]comments on the words of IM Ali you're talking when you say
[40:43]sh you're talking about uh you're talking about a a scholar who
[40:49]lived during the beginning of the major occultation and he was the
[40:52]student of was the student of was the son of im's Deputy
[41:09]so imar the 11th IM had a representative a deputy called Al
[41:17]Hussein his son was Muhammad is a title it's not a name
[41:24]meaning the one who is very truthful when we talk about we're
[41:32]talking about the beginning of also lived with during the minor occultation
[41:42]is a person a who was alive from the during the minor
[41:51]occultation Mak sense for going back to what did mention said he
[42:05]said that to different to differentiate between the attribute of essence and
[42:12]the attribute of action ask yourself can I negate this attribute from
[42:17]Allah subhah wa taala if you can negate it at a certain
[42:23]phase then it's an attribute of action if you can't negate it
[42:27]then it's an attribute of essence so that's the main you know
[42:36]the main uh point the main rule which will help us uh
[42:41]differentiate between these attributes okay so you need to ask yourself can
[42:49]we negate the attribute the attribute or the trait that's the main
[43:02]question if you can negate it then it's an attribute of action
[43:10]if you can't it's an attribute of essence give us an example
[43:14]your words are too complicated okay let's give you an example let's
[43:22]talk about Mercy can I say Allah subhanahu wa taala bestows his
[43:27]Mercy on the day of judgment on the Believers yet he deprives
[43:33]the disbelievers of his Mercy based based on their own actions because
[43:36]of their own actions can I say that yes when Allah puts
[43:43]the disbelievers in Janam that's not an act of Mercy right it's
[43:47]an act of Justice some people tell you you know there's Mercy
[43:51]in Janam there's no mercy in Janam Janam was not created to
[43:56]be in a boat of Mercy it's in a boat of punishment
[43:58]but yes whoever enters Janam deserves it so Allah T is not
[44:04]doing him Injustice by putting him in Janam he's actually showing that
[44:10]individ individual what he did and he tells them that this is
[44:13]the reality of your deed whatever you're experiencing in Janam the horrific
[44:18]punishments of jahannam are the realities of your Deeds subh that means
[44:30]Mercy is an attribute of action because we said you can negate
[44:35]it you can say Allah tal will bless Abu Talib on the
[44:38]day of judgment but he will not bless Abu sufyan or Abu
[44:44]let's give a second example can I say Allah created the human
[44:49]being but did not create as far as we know at least
[44:56]a centur a centur is a half human half horse yes we
[45:02]can right possibly Allah T created centur in some part of the
[45:06]universe but as far as we know based on our knowledge of
[45:11]of Earth there are no centur so I can say Allah created
[45:15]the human but did not create centors I'm negating what creation that
[45:20]means creation is what an attribute of action a third example can
[45:30]I say Allah subhah wa ta'ala gave this person a child but
[45:42]did not give that person a child he deprived person X from
[45:47]children from having children can I say that I can which means
[45:51]giving is an attribute of action it's an attribute of action Allah
[46:03]gave children but did not give fan children so giving is what
[46:09]an attribute of action let me give you a clear example regarding
[46:14]giving Allah gave the kingdom of to who but he did not
[46:22]give it to mean George Bush s he didn't give it to
[46:31]you know give it to so giving giving is an attribute of
[46:37]action now we go to the examples regarding the attributes of essence
[46:45]can I say Allah knows mean what I did but he does
[46:46]not know what did I can't can I say Allah knows what
[46:53]the humans do but he does not know what the Devils do
[46:57]I can't so I can't negate any form of Knowledge from Allah
[47:01]which means that's an attribute of essence when we say Allah is
[47:07]knowledgeable it's an attribute of essence can I say Allah has the
[47:14]power to create an elephant but he doesn't have the power to
[47:18]create a fly okay he has the power to create a fly
[47:21]but does not have the power to create an elephant I can't
[47:27]can I negate any type of power from Allah any kind of
[47:31]power I can't he's all powerful he can do anything so that's
[47:37]an attribute of Ence last example last example can I say Allah
[47:46]subhana waala is alive right now but in year 2000 300 he
[47:51]will be dead can I say that okay how about I say
[47:57]was dead before and then he came into life then he he
[48:01]became alive somehow you know some miracle happened and Allah lived can
[48:09]that happen no Allah subh is all living as mentioned is the
[48:15]all living his life is never mixed with any form of death
[48:20]so I understand here that because I can't negate life from Allah
[48:27]at any phase it means Allah subhana wa tala is what all
[48:30]living uh it means Allah T is all living and it means
[48:37]that life is an attribute of uh Essence not an attribute of
[48:42]of action clear inshallah let me see if we have enough time
[48:49]to mention how indicates that Allah is perfect unfortunately my time is
[48:59]up next week inshallah if we're alive we'll explain the relationship between
[49:09]and and Perfection yes to of powerful right exactly how about when
[49:26]he wants to let's say on the day OFA did I say
[49:31]did I say was an attribute of action no okay on the
[49:33]day ofala had less let's say man powery had much more okay
[49:42]yeah what that saying like power is also the attribute of action
[49:46]because Allah gave not necessarily gave them more power but they like
[49:50]they had more power on their side your question is very nice
[49:57]you're right but here we're talking about created Power so just as
[50:06]we said with you have created Created knowledge like mathematics biology chemistry
[50:13]uh the knowledge of Quran the knowledge of you know a Hadith
[50:16]the knowledge of Islam that's all created knowledge J but then you
[50:21]have Allah's knowledge Allah's knowledge is his his own Essence it's the
[50:26]knowledge of the Creator it is him subhah wa tala same goes
[50:30]with power right now I have power I can move my hands
[50:35]I can write on the board J uh I can do actions
[50:40]that's power but it's cre power power of God number one is
[50:45]Limitless and number two it is God so all power that you
[50:51]see right now on Earth including the power of that's created Power
[50:59]coming from who from Allah the all powerful CL yes okay we'll
[51:10]talk about that after I uh um stop the recording inshallah we
[51:14]just had a comment by Brother Mustafa here saying let me just
[51:32]move the camera so attributes which we can refer to Allah in
[51:43]essence may also be viewed in the creations of Allah ourselves however
[51:46]actions from Allah may be viewed in the scenarios which took part
[51:51]Mustafa also has an interesting comment okay interesting comment and that is
[52:00]uh there are certain attributes that we attribute that we link to
[52:04]God or he links it to himself and we also link it
[52:09]to ourselves or Allah links it to us but there's a big
[52:14]difference between these types of attributes when it comes to power as
[52:20]we said Allah is powerful and I am powerful is there a
[52:24]difference big difference number one Allah's power is Limitless has no limits
[52:29]he can do anything my power is very limited that's one number
[52:33]two Allah's power is independent does he need anyone to be powerful
[52:38]he doesn't your power is what dependent as soon as Allah subhana
[52:47]wa ta'ala you know decrees that you should have no power you
[52:50]won't be able to do anything and Allah shows it to us
[52:53]through mean sickness one day you're healthy you're powerful you can you
[53:01]know jump on the ceiling the next day you fall sick you
[53:05]can't even move so Allah shows you that you're weak and if
[53:09]I want I can you know I can I can show you
[53:13]your weakness I can show you how weak you are so that's
[53:19]one main difference between the attributes of God and our attributes when
[53:23]we say mean we're generous was generous he was generous he was
[53:30]a c but he was generous and Allah is generous there's a
[53:34]big difference big difference number one Allah's generosity has no limits but
[53:40]or the human beings generosity has what has limits number two number
[53:48]two the generosity of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is the essence of
[53:54]any type of generosity it's the essence of what any type of
[53:58]generosity so any generosity stemming from the creation depends on Whose generosity
[54:05]on Allah on Allah's generosity subhah wa tala but Allah does not
[54:11]depend on anyone so there's a big difference between the attributes that
[54:17]that we call them by okay uh that that you can give
[54:25]to Allah and also gift to the creation there's a big difference
[54:29]big difference same goes with knowledge right and I'll mention this final
[54:38]word before we take a break knowledge I'm knowledgeable okay no no
[54:43]I'm really knowledable then what Allah T is also knowledgeable so I'm
[54:49]Allah no you're not Allah no there's a big difference LA's knowledge
[54:52]has no limits but as we said if you special I in
[54:56]one field you might become an aidite in that field but you're
[54:59]ignorant of what a thousand other fields yet Allah is not ignorant
[55:06]of anything number two Allah's knowledge is independent he doesn't need anyone
[55:10]to know what he knows he knows it because he's God but
[55:14]we need him subhana wa tala to learn if Allah subhana tala
[55:21]you know says you shall not learn Kal even if we bring
[55:23]you a thousand Scholars and make you read 10,000 books you won't
[55:28]be able to acquire any knowledge because Allah has decreed you shall
[55:32]have no knowledge
