[0:30]brothers and sisters in islam in this short video we want to

[0:41]share a tradition by albeit peace be upon them that mentions several

[0:49]negative effects of fornication god forbid several negative effects that the fornicator

[0:58]is afflicted with this tradition and its likes meaning other traditions that

[1:05]mention these negative effects of fornication are very important it is very

[1:14]important to remind ourselves of these traditions especially that we're living in

[1:21]the era of temptations an era in which we're surrounded by temptations

[1:26]and by images or videos or words that call us towards indecency

[1:35]that call us towards committing unlawful deeds indecent deeds pertaining to carnal

[1:46]desire unfortunately there are movements out there working day and night to

[1:53]spread indecency across the globe there are movements out there working day

[2:00]and night in order to make in order to turn us into

[2:08]humans that only care about what they eat and how they fulfill

[2:13]their carnal desire the tradition that we want to read and understand

[2:21]is found in the book that his father said that his forefathers

[2:34]peace be upon themselves excuse me say peace be upon them that

[2:52]the fornicator is afflicted with six effects three of those effects take

[3:01]place in this world and three of those effects take place in

[3:06]the hereafter as for the effects that take place in this world

[3:20]the first of those effects is the removal of the light of

[3:29]the face this is the literal translation of the hadith the removal

[3:33]of the light of the face when a person fornicates the light

[3:38]of his face is removed the question is what is meant by

[3:44]this what is meant by the light of his face it's quite

[3:49]clear that when you look at fellow human beings you don't see

[3:54]physical light stemming from their face yes there was one person named

[4:02]fatimataz [Music] and physical light actually stemmed from her face this was

[4:11]one reason why she was called azara the lady of light peace

[4:15]be upon her however in general even when you look at pious

[4:22]believers you don't you don't see physical light actually coming out of

[4:25]the face so what is meant by this term you see when

[4:37]you look at the face of a pious believer you feel a

[4:47]sense of comfort you feel a sense of tranquility there's some sort

[4:54]of feature in their face there's something about their face that comforts

[4:59]you when you see them that instills peace in your hearts and

[5:03]it seems as if their face is what as if their face

[5:08]is glowing this of course does not have to do with their

[5:14]skin color their skin color might be white or wheatish or black

[5:20]it doesn't matter when you see the pious believer you feel us

[5:24]as if his face is glowing and his face seeing his face

[5:32]instills peace and tranquility in your heart that is what is meant

[5:41]by the light of the face the fornicator loses that feature and

[5:45]so when you see his face even if his face is white

[5:48]as in even if even if his skin color is white you

[5:53]feel that his face is dark there's something about him that instills

[6:00]discomfort in your heart that doesn't make you comfortable and so this

[6:08]is the first effect mentioned by the imams when they mention the

[6:15]effects of fornication fornication god forbid makes a person lose that feature

[6:20]in their face it makes them lose the light of the face

[6:27]then he says they say the second effect of fornication that takes

[6:38]place in this world is that it leads a person to poverty

[6:44]fornication leads a person to what to poverty number three it reduces

[6:52]it shortens a person's lifespan so it brings you closer to death

[6:59]why because it's shortening your lifespan those are three negative effects that

[7:08]happen in this world then the imam says the imam says as

[7:16]for the effects that take place in the hereafter the first one

[7:21]is allah's wrath meaning the fornicator will be afflicted with allah's wrath

[7:28]now you and i know that allah's wrath is his punishment as

[7:35]adults so the fornicator will be afflicted with unbelievable punishment from allah

[7:46]the second effect is going through a difficult terrible reckoning you know

[7:57]on the day of judgment there's a stage called hisab the stage

[8:01]of reckoning the stage in which allah questions the people some believers

[8:05]will be exempted from that stage they'll be allowed to enter heaven

[8:08]without being questioned by allah some believers will go through what al

[8:18]quran calls they'll go through a simple form of reckoning or an

[8:24]easy form of reckoning but some people unfortunately will go through a

[8:31]terrible and awful form of reckoning the reckoning itself that hisab itself

[8:37]will be a punishment the hisab itself will be a punishment how

[8:42]can this be for example imagine what would happen to the human

[8:46]being if allah wanted to be very detailed in his questions pertaining

[8:53]to that person's deeds if allah wanted to be very detailed that

[8:59]person who is being questioned by allah will be standing on his

[9:07]feet answering allah's questions for god knows how long that stance in

[9:17]itself will put the human being through physical and emotional pain so

[9:25]it will be a form of punishment in itself the fornicator will

[9:31]go through this his hisab his reckoning will not be simple will

[9:36]be difficult so it will be what a punishment in itself then

[9:41]the imams say the imams say that the third and last effect

[9:53]is that the fornicator will dwell in hell fire for eternity for

[9:59]eternity so he will not leave or exit hellfire one might say

[10:06]aren't the imams repeating themselves i mean they mentioned that the fornicator

[10:11]will be afflicted with god's wrath god's punishment so isn't there a

[10:15]repetition here the answer is no there's no repetition because one might

[10:20]be punished on the day of judgment yet he does not dwell

[10:24]in hell fire for ever whereas the fornicator he is destined to

[10:31]dwell in hell fire forever allah has decreed that the fornicator will

[10:36]remain in hell fire for eternity and that is the ultimate calamity

[10:43]god forbid after hearing this tradition one might ask so does that

[11:03]mean if someone fornicated or will fornicate in the future once they

[11:11]fornicate they have no hope in being saved from hellfire does that

[11:17]mean that the the fornicator is doomed and there's absolutely no hope

[11:21]for him to be saved from allah's punishments we say no that

[11:28]is not the case if the fornicator thought forbid for uh if

[11:33]if the for indicator repents before it is too late then allah

[11:40]will accept his repentance this doesn't mean we should belittle this deed

[11:45]this is one of the biggest crimes that a person may commit

[11:49]but if someone has committed this crime even then they should not

[11:55]lose hope in god's mercy because losing hope in god's mercy is

[12:01]a greater crime it's even worse than fornication so if someone god

[12:09]forbid has fallen into fornication he or she must repent quickly before

[12:15]it is too late and we must remember that part of repentance

[12:21]one of the main conditions of repentance is intending on not committing

[12:28]that sin or not committing sins again that is part of that

[12:33]is one of the conditions of repentance and so we should quickly

[12:43]repent before it is too late if the fornicator truly repents then

[12:47]allah will accept his repentance and will exempt him from being punished

[12:56]on the day of judgment meaning will exempt him from being punished

[13:01]through hell fire let alone dwelling in hell fire for eternity what

[13:07]a merciful lord he is subhanahu wata'ala alhamdulillah was
