[0:52]welcome to all of you as we start our stages of the
[0:59]hereafter classes before we delve into the details of the stages of
[1:10]the hereafter we'd like to mention a few points a few crucial
[1:14]points regarding our belief in the hereafter firstly what is the point
[1:21]behind these classes what is the point behind these lectures the main
[1:29]point behind these classes is to analyze the stages of the hereafter
[1:40]starting with the last moments of a person's life what we call
[1:46]sakaratil mouth the last moment of a person's life on earth up
[1:52]until people enter heaven or hell on the day of judgment between
[1:58]these two incidents or occurrences there are lots of stages that the
[2:09]human goes through lots of checkpoints that the human goes through and
[2:14]in those stages there are challenges frights punishments or rewards our goal
[2:23]is to enhance our knowledge regarding these various stages of the hereafter
[2:29]to know what are the challenges that a person faces in those
[2:35]stages what are the punishments that someone might face what are the
[2:39]rewards that someone might face or someone might encounter etc in order
[2:46]to be prepared or say to be more prepared when it is
[2:54]time to leave this world and enter the hereafter so we have
[3:02]two main goals two main goals behind these lessons number one enhancing
[3:10]our knowledge regarding the hereafter the different stages of the hereafter and
[3:16]number two preparing ourselves for those stages because ultimately sooner or later
[3:26]we're gonna depart from this world we're in a temporary world sooner
[3:33]or later we have to depart and go to the hereafter this
[3:41]journey the journey to the hereafter resembles to a certain extent our
[3:48]journey is in this world when we go from one city to
[3:52]another or from one country to another it resembles such journeys but
[3:59]to a certain extent how so when someone decides to travel from
[4:08]his hometown or his country to another town city or country what
[4:15]does he do first you realize that the person searches uh about
[4:26]the city or the country he's going to visit he asks certain
[4:33]people about let's say the climate in that city or country the
[4:39]atmosphere the social atmosphere over there etc so he asks several questions
[4:47]pertaining to his destination even if he knows that he's going to
[4:51]reside in that city or country for an x amount of days
[4:58]or weeks so even if he knows that he's only staying there
[5:02]for a limited period of time he still asks about the climate
[5:10]the atmosphere about the people etc why to be well prepared for
[5:17]his travel hence you find that when it is time to travel
[5:24]or actually before he travels he does what he prepares his luggage
[5:29]and inside his luggage bags the person will place clothing he'll place
[5:36]for example lotion he'll place um sun cream and other items that
[5:44]he knows he will need or he believes he might need so
[5:49]you'll find that the human being will prepare his luggage bags and
[5:56]he'll place inside the bags any item he believes he might be
[6:00]in need of during his journey this is the logical thing to
[6:08]do right even though the human knows that this is only a
[6:12]temporary journey as in he'll only be traveling for a limited period
[6:17]of time and sooner or later he'll be back in his home
[6:24]city or hometown so if the human being must prepare for his
[6:28]finite limited travel in this world when he goes from point a
[6:35]to point b it only makes sense to say that the human
[6:39]must also prepare for what for his permanent travel for his everlasting
[6:49]journey the journey of the hereafter the hereafter has a beginning but
[6:54]does not have an end whereas this world has a beginning and
[6:57]an end when you die this world ends when you die the
[7:04]hereafter begins or to be more precise during the last moments of
[7:10]this world the hereafter begins when does the when does the hereafter
[7:13]end it doesn't end it's eternal allah chose he decreed to make
[7:24]the hereafter eternal as in it's never ending it's endless it continues
[7:30]forever so if we have to prepare ourselves for a finite limited
[7:36]travel or a finite and limited journey then it only makes sense
[7:44]to say that we also have to prepare ourselves for what for
[7:49]the endless journey the journey of the here after especially that especially
[7:56]that when a person goes to the hereafter he witnesses the results
[8:05]of what the results of his deeds he witnesses the results of
[8:11]his belief in this world and his actions right now we're being
[8:20]tested have informed us that at the moment we're being tested and
[8:27]so long that we breathe so long that we're alive we're in
[8:32]the test we're being tested by allah subhana wa when does the
[8:38]test end when you take your last breath as in when you
[8:43]die when you die the test has ended after that what happens
[8:47]actually at the moments of death according to the hadith as we
[8:55]shall see you start or you might start to see the results
[8:57]of what of your deeds at the moments of death you start
[9:04]or you might start to see the results of your deeds the
[9:07]results of uh your your faith your deeds etc the same applies
[9:13]to the other stages of the here after hence it's extremely important
[9:21]to do what to prepare for from now if we prepare from
[9:26]now then we'll be closer to attaining the rewards of god in
[9:34]the hereafter instead of attaining his punishments will be closer to being
[9:41]close servants of allah servants loved by god instead of being distant
[9:50]from allah servants that are despised by god this is why we're
[9:59]learning about the hereafter and we're initiating these classes this brings us
[10:09]to another important point you're going to realize that we're going to
[10:15]present a lot of information about the stages of the hereafter we
[10:21]have tons of information about every single stage in the hereafter whether
[10:28]it's sakuratilmat or the grave or uh the questioning of mun karen
[10:36]nakir alaihim assalam or hisab etc what is this information based on
[10:47]that's a very important question all of these details regarding the stages
[10:52]of the hereafter what are these details based on the answer is
[11:01]these details are mainly based on the words of the quran and
[11:06]the words of al-bait why because the world of the hereafter is
[11:20]a world that we haven't experienced yet when i say we i'm
[11:26]talking about the humans who are still alive in this world those
[11:30]who passed away have experienced certain stages of the hereafter but we
[11:37]human beings who are still alive in this world we haven't experienced
[11:40]that world so it's part of what part of the world of
[11:46]the unseen it's part of had it not been for the holy
[11:55]quran and for allah we wouldn't know anything about the hereafter except
[12:01]for a few points in better terms we would have minimal knowledge
[12:08]about the hereafter because it's what part of the part of the
[12:14]world of the unseen we don't feel that world we don't see
[12:20]it hence had it not been for the verses of the quran
[12:25]and hadith the narrations of him we would only have minimal information
[12:31]about the hereafter what we're trying to say is what we're trying
[12:40]to say is the intellect doesn't have the capacity to actually determine
[12:46]what will happen in the hereafter and what you will face one
[12:52]might ask can the intellect confirm the presence of a hereafter okay
[13:01]we've understood that a lot of the information we have in fact
[13:05]most of the information we have about the hereafter depends on the
[13:10]holy quran question can our intellects confirm the existence of a hereafter
[13:17]without using quran and without using the words of salam let's pose
[13:29]a second question can the intellect confirm the existence of a hereafter
[13:39]with the use of certain quranic verses or narrations that don't speak
[13:49]necessarily about the hereafter these are two questions and the answer to
[13:58]both of them is yes yes although we mainly depend on the
[14:03]quran and or we greatly depend let me say in better terms
[14:11]we greatly depend on the quran to know the details and to
[14:19]know the uh the details and the the um information we have
[14:30]about the hereafter the intellect is still able to come out with
[14:39]the conclusion that there must be a hereafter as in there must
[14:46]be life after death death isn't the end of the road rather
[14:51]it's the beginning of a new life how how can the intellect
[15:00]confirm the existence of the hereafter we're going to present two proofs
[15:06]two logical proofs um that will lead us to this belief two
[15:13]logical proofs indicating that there is life after death the first one
[15:22]is a proof pertaining to allah's justice it's a proof pertaining to
[15:30]god's justice what does that mean it means if someone doesn't believe
[15:34]in god or doesn't believe in his justice he won't accept or
[15:39]might not accept this proof so in order to actually use this
[15:46]proof and understand where it leads you you need to have belief
[15:52]in god number one and you need to have belief in god's
[15:55]justice after we confirm god's existence and his justice subhanahu wa'ta'ala and
[16:03]obviously his wisdom then we say the following this is the proof
[16:11]when we look at the history of mankind and we also look
[16:18]at our current state today we realize that a lot of people
[16:25]in the past were oppressed and a lot of people were oppressors
[16:32]even today a lot of people are being oppressed and a lot
[16:40]of people are oppressing other people up until now do these words
[16:50]sound okay yes they do right no one doubts or at least
[16:55]should doubt in these words in the past many people were oppressed
[16:59]and many people were oppressors in today's world a lot of people
[17:05]are oppressed and a lot of people oppress others so where are
[17:12]we going one might ask we say we realized that a lot
[17:19]of those who were oppressed died without having their rights retrieved from
[17:28]their oppressors and a lot of those who oppressed others a lot
[17:35]of the oppressors or tyrants died without giving the oppressed their rights
[17:42]number one and without receiving the punishment they deserved for their crimes
[17:50]number two so a lot of the madula mean a lot of
[17:58]the oppressed died and they never got their rights they never retrieved
[18:03]their rights from their oppressors a lot of oppressors died before they
[18:10]were actually punished for their crimes and before they return the rights
[18:15]of the oppressed to the oppressed now if we believe in god
[18:22]and we do believe in him and we believe in his justice
[18:30]and wisdom our intellect will tell us god must be delaying the
[18:36]judgment of his servants to a specific day and that day will
[18:43]take place after death that day will take place after death on
[18:50]that day god will number one retrieve the rights of the oppressed
[18:56]from their oppressors number two compensate the oppressed by presenting them a
[19:06]compensation or say a reward that will be so great it will
[19:12]make up for the pain they felt in this world number three
[19:16]he will retrieve the rights of the uh oppressed from the oppressors
[19:23]i think already said this one actually number three he will punish
[19:30]the oppressors he will punish the oppressors for their crimes and the
[19:34]punishment will suit or say will fit the crime that the oppressors
[19:44]committed which means the greater the crime the greater their punishment will
[19:49]be so in short if we want to summarize this logical proof
[19:57]that confirms the presence of a hereafter of life after death make
[20:09]sure to keep your microphones muted so if we want to confirm
[20:17]the um if we want to summarize this proof if we want
[20:23]to summarize this proof we'll say that the presence of oppressed people
[20:30]in this world and the presence of oppressors indicates that allah subhanahu
[20:39]wa'ta'ala that allah will judge between the people and grant thee oppressed
[20:52]their rights from their oppressors since we don't see this judgment in
[21:02]this world then that judgment must take place one after death so
[21:07]there is life after death this is the summary of the proof
[21:14]again it's based on what based on a person's belief in god
[21:18]now if someone doesn't believe in god i won't expect him to
[21:23]believe in the hereafter rather i'll have to speak them about god
[21:27]himself we'll have to confirm allah's existence before we try to confirm
[21:35]the existence of the hereafter there's a big relationship a strong relationship
[21:40]between believing in allah and believing in what life after death thus
[21:46]you realize in many verses in the quran allah mentions himself and
[21:53]right after he mentions himself he mentions what the last day meaning
[21:58]the day of judgment so he says those who believe in allah
[22:06]and the last day those who believe in allah and the last
[22:12]day meaning the day of judgment so the proof this proof needs
[22:19]what needs a person to believe in god number one and to
[22:22]believe in his justice and wisdom number two you can realize that
[22:32]we did not use any quranic verse or any narration in order
[22:42]to uh come out with this proof rather we only used what
[22:45]our intellects and all we see what we witness uh in this
[22:52]world or what we witnessed when analyzing the history of mankind this
[23:02]is one proof is there a second proof a second logical proof
[23:09]confirming the existence of a hereafter yes there is this one is
[23:16]actually a mixture of a logical and textual proof so we're using
[23:22]a logical proof that is mixed with a textual proof to confirm
[23:27]the presence of the hero after but the textual proof we're gonna
[23:33]use doesn't explicitly mention the hereafter it does not explicitly mention the
[23:39]hereafter okay we're going to use it with the logical proof and
[23:46]together we're going to do what with with those two proofs we're
[23:52]going to come out with the conclusion that there is a hereafter
[23:59]so what's the proof this one pertains to a reward and punishment
[24:06]reward and punishment allah promises the believers who do good deeds to
[24:22]be rewarded correct and allah azza mentions in the quran or through
[24:28]the narrations of that the believers who do good deeds will be
[24:35]granted unbelievable rewards castles gardens beneath which rivers flow gold silver eternal
[24:48]happiness eternal comfort eternal pleasure you name it allah mentioned all of
[24:56]that however we see that the believer who believes in god and
[25:01]the truth the believer who performs good deeds in many cases lives
[25:10]a hard life he goes through hardship and in many cases his
[25:17]life is ended in a tragic manner some are beheaded some are
[25:25]blown into pieces some are crucified etc etc etc so where are
[25:36]these gordons that allah is speaking about where are where where are
[25:44]these you know great rewards that allah has promised to give the
[25:49]believers we see that the believer goes through what through tragedies calamities
[25:56]in many cases so where are the rewards if we believe in
[26:06]allah and we believe in his sith in his truthfulness we believe
[26:10]that allah doesn't lie and we also believe in his justice and
[26:14]wisdom will know that must be delaying the reward of the believer
[26:26]to another day that day will take place one after death and
[26:33]so there is life after death but you'll realize that this proof
[26:41]is also in need of what it's in need of someone believing
[26:46]in allah number one believing in his justice and wisdom and his
[26:52]truthfulness that he doesn't lie subhanallah if someone god forbid believed allah
[26:58]might cheat people allah might lie which is obviously absurd um he
[27:07]won't accept this proof so you'll need to do what you need
[27:12]to tackle that issue you'll need to clarify for him god's nature
[27:17]when you say nature we're talking about god's attributes we'll have to
[27:22]talk about god's attributes and we'll have to confirm that allah cannot
[27:28]hold any forms of imperfection lying is a form of what imperfection
[27:36]so if he understands why god cannot hold any forms of imperfection
[27:43]he'll automatically know that allah cannot lie not that he doesn't have
[27:46]the power to lie he has the power to do it but
[27:49]he'll never do it because it's ugly it's indecent it does not
[27:52]fit his character similarly when we look at disbelievers who commit evil
[28:05]deeds and we read the quran and the narrations of salam we
[28:09]realize that allah promises the disbelievers who do evil deeds to be
[28:17]punished in a horrifying manner he mentions horrifying punishments for such people
[28:22]such as snakes pythons scorpions darkness eternal depression fire you name it
[28:36]but when we look at the disbelievers in this world in many
[28:41]cases we realize that they're doing well that they live a luxurious
[28:51]life or at least a good life they are not receiving such
[28:57]punishments in many cases they they live luxurious lives take the example
[29:02]of yazid yazid committed the greatest crime in the history of mankind
[29:09]he killed imam and her son salah yet yes he lived in
[29:18]a palace people called him the caliph people called him the commander
[29:24]of the believers he had an army he had women he had
[29:26]lands he had he had plenty of material blessings so where is
[29:34]his punishment imam hussain salah the imam of truth was massacred was
[29:41]killed was butchered and the enemy of god was living in luxury
[29:48]here the intellect intervenes and it says allah wa'ta'ala must be delaying
[29:57]the punishment of yazid and his likes to a specific day when
[30:02]will that they take place after death not now not in this
[30:08]world after people die the believers will be granted what will be
[30:14]granted their reward in full by allah and after people die the
[30:20]disbelievers the evil disbelievers will be granted their punishment in full not
[30:30]to say of course that the believer doesn't receive any rewards now
[30:36]we're not saying that allah does give the believer some reward for
[30:42]his belief in this world in better terms the believer's belief and
[30:50]good deeds do have an effect that takes place in this world
[30:55]the least that we can say is his belief and his good
[31:03]deeds give him spiritual tranquility inner peace look at the believers around
[31:10]the globe they have a lot of problems that they're going through
[31:12]especially the believers in the east especially in the middle east yet
[31:18]you find that they're tranquil they're okay many of them are not
[31:26]afflicted with depression they're not in need of antidepressants why what makes
[31:32]them so strong they're connected with the infinite power allah they have
[31:39]the greatest role models so they're strong then again we're not saying
[31:50]that the disbeliever doesn't receive any punishments in this world on the
[31:58]contrary the disbeliever sometimes does receive punishments in this world before the
[32:05]hereafter take the example of what allah did to ahad the mood
[32:08]the people of noah the people of lut alaihi and other civilizations
[32:14]they were destroyed by god and they'll be punished in the hereafter
[32:18]as well or take the example of the disbeliever who's afflicted with
[32:26]what with spiritual turbulence disbeliever might live a luxurious life on a
[32:33]material level he has money he has fame he has popularity you
[32:40]know he has a limousine or a lamborghini but but he is
[32:46]not spiritually tranquil why because his connection with the ultimate power with
[32:57]the with the necessary being allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala is is what is
[33:03]severed there's no connection between him and allah no spiritual connection and
[33:11]so he doesn't feel the tranquility that the believer feels the believer
[33:19]might be surrounded with calamities yet he's still what tranquil the disbeliever
[33:27]might be surrounded with comfort yet he is what agitated on the
[33:34]inside he is not trying however in short in short the full
[33:41]reward of the believer is given one not in this world in
[33:46]the hereafter the full punishment of the disbeliever is given one in
[33:51]the hereafter not in this world so here you realize what you
[33:56]realize that we used a logical proof with a textual proof to
[34:03]confirm the presence of what of a hereafter so here we can
[34:10]confirm three points number one intellect on its own can confirm the
[34:15]existence of the hereafter the intellect number two the intellect when using
[34:24]certain texts meaning quranic verses or narrations can also confirm the existence
[34:32]of a hereafter number three we have tons of quranic verses and
[34:35]tons of narrations from confirming the existence of what of a hereafter
[34:42]so those are our three main proofs that confirm the existence of
[34:52]the hereafter the logical proof number one the logical proof that is
[34:55]mixed with a textual proof number two and the rest of the
[34:59]textual proofs that speak about that explicitly speak about the hereafter those
[35:07]are three proofs we have that confirm the existence of life after
[35:14]that let me share with you two narrations on this regard two
[35:25]narrations dot um are connected with uh the the logical proofs we
[35:37]mentioned the logical proofs that confirm the existence of a hereafter the
[35:45]first one is a narration by imam assad which you can find
[35:59]i've sent it to you on the chat section the tradition says
[36:05]ibn qasim the narrator says he says that someone mentioned the killer
[36:22]of imam al-hussein in the presence of imam assad [Music] some of
[36:36]the imam's companions sad some of the imams companions were present said
[36:42]i wish allah subhanahu wa tahadah punished the killer of hussain in
[36:51]this world before we continue we need to understand who is this
[36:58]person meaning when they see the killer of hussein who are they
[37:03]talking about it seems they're talking about yazid why because there are
[37:09]multiple people whom you can call katie al-hussain the killer of hussain
[37:14]number one yazid how did he kill him he ordered his man
[37:20]and his armies to kill the imam number two he is the
[37:26]killer of hussain because he ordered also the army that he sent
[37:31]from kufa to kill the imam number three omar bin sad why
[37:35]is he the killer of hussain because he was the the general
[37:39]of the azir the army in uh karbala and he told them
[37:44]to kill the imam al-islam number four shemer or shamir as some
[37:50]scholars call him this person was the actual individual who executed the
[38:00]imam who killed him with his own two hands so all these
[38:03]people can be called what were punished in this world not to
[38:19]say that this is their only punishment no allah will fry them
[38:23]in jahannam without doubt but but they were punished by who by
[38:37]so it seems that the narrator is talking about who about yazid
[38:42]yazid was not punished by mukhtar yazid died two years after karbala
[38:48]and mukhtar rose and saw vengeance for imam al-hussein five years after
[38:53]karbala on year 66 after hijrah so yazid wasn't punished by muhtar
[39:00]and it seems that he wasn't punished by anyone this is why
[39:04]the narrator said what this is why some people actually said some
[39:08]of the people who were present in the imam's gathering i wish
[39:11]allah punished the killer of hussain in this world so it seems
[39:16]that he's talking about yazid hear the imam assad [Music] you told
[39:36]him it seems that you are belittling the punishment of allah meaning
[39:43]it seems you're belittling the punishment allah has prepared for yazid and
[39:49]the hereafter what's wrong with you the punishment that allah has prepared
[39:54]and the hereafter is worse and more painful more severe than the
[40:01]punishments of this world so it's as if imam sadiq is telling
[40:05]him do not grieve don't grieve if he was not punished in
[40:12]this world he will definitely be punished in a horrifying manner in
[40:17]the hereafter we have a tradition that says it's a scary one
[40:24]but it's good to scare ourselves we have a tradition that says
[40:28]half of the punishments of hell fire will be poured on the
[40:36]killer of imam and hussain alaihis imagine 50 half of the punishments
[40:46]of hellfire will be poured on the killer of the imam meaning
[40:57]so this hadith confirms what we said if the disbeliever or the
[41:05]evil slave of god isn't punished right now it does not mean
[41:09]he won't be punished at all this is just a temporary world
[41:13]it's a temporary world it's going to end sooner or later and
[41:18]the hereafter we're going to see the results we ask allah azzawajal
[41:25]to be from those who pass the test and from those who
[41:29]are saved from hellfire and so this is the first tradition the
[41:38]second one is the tradition by imam ali that you can find
[41:45]in was once describing the world meaning describing our current world and
[42:01]he said he described it using three words his description was short
[42:08]but deep at the same time he said [Music] he said this
[42:22]world fools the human being then it harms him then it leaves
[42:30]him it fools the human it harms the human and it does
[42:36]what it leaves the human firstly it fools you it attracts you
[42:44]towards what it's unlawful desires unlawful temptations when you are attracted and
[42:54]you follow your desire the unlawful desire not the lawful one obviously
[42:59]you follow the unlawful desire what happens you harm yourself you end
[43:05]up harming your own self then what happens sooner or later the
[43:12]world ends and you depart as if this world never existed you
[43:20]depart to another world as if it never existed then he said
[43:30]was not pleased to make this world meaning the rewards and the
[43:39]bounties of this world the reward of his close slaves you see
[43:45]there are beautiful things about this world there are bounties there are
[43:48]blessings but allah wasn't pleased to make the bounties and blessings of
[43:59]this world the reward of who of his close servants as if
[44:04]he's saying no you my servants deserve something better something much better
[44:09]so i'll give you some blessings right now everyone has blessings right
[44:14]but your reward will be delayed to another day wasn't pleased to
[44:28]make the punishments or the hardships of this world the punishment of
[44:34]his enemies just as there are beautiful things in this world just
[44:38]as there are blessings and bounties there are also what hardships pains
[44:43]agony calamities allah wasn't pleased to make the hardships and the pains
[44:51]of this world the punishment of his enemies it's as if he's
[44:55]saying this is not enough for you you need something worse you
[44:59]need something more severe then he said he said the people of
[45:18]this world are like a group of travelers as they're traveling they
[45:27]settle in a specific spot why to rest they settle in a
[45:32]specific spot you know some of them use the washroom some of
[45:38]them for example um perform will do some eat some drink of
[45:43]course these words are not mentioned in this hadith but i'm just
[45:47]explaining the hadith so the imam says that the people of this
[45:50]world are like what a group of travelers who have settled in
[45:53]a specific place and after they settled all of a sudden the
[46:02]person who's in charge of directing and managing the caravan calls them
[46:13]he shouts telling them what it's time to go and so they
[46:16]leave it's as simple as that what does imam mean to say
[46:22]dima means to say o believers o human beings you are in
[46:30]a temporary world this is not the permanent world one day it
[46:36]will end and when it ends you will realize that your stay
[46:39]in this world was very short the period that the period the
[46:47]duration of your stay in this world was a short duration it
[46:54]was a short period so make sure that you use it in
[47:04]your own favor as in make sure you use it to prepare
[47:07]for the hereafter before it's too late does that mean we have
[47:13]to pray day and night yeah we have to fast the days
[47:17]stay up in worship at night we can't enjoy our lives right
[47:21]now no we're not saying that if you want to enjoy your
[47:25]life in a halal way by all means go ahead that's nice
[47:28]that's beautiful allah allows you to do so allah wants you to
[47:30]do so but don't be fooled by this world don't be fooled
[47:37]by it the real life is the life of the hereafter work
[47:41]towards that life work for that life yes fulfill your needs right
[47:50]now in a lawful manner you need to take breaks you need
[47:56]to have moments in your day in which you're fulfilling your desire
[48:01]in a lawful way but remember that's not the point that's not
[48:05]the main point behind this world the main point isn't to drink
[48:10]or to eat or to have a mansion or to you know
[48:17]uh to to get married and have kids that's not the main
[48:21]point all of those are important especially marriage especially having children but
[48:25]that's not the main point what's the main point the main point
[48:31]is that you worship allah and you do what allah wants you
[48:39]to do you listen to god's commands and you obey him you
[48:42]believe in the truth that is the main point so in short
[48:48]the main point is to be abdom to be a righteous slave
[48:55]of god a righteous male or female slave of god that's the
[48:59]main part yes you do eat you do drink you do get
[49:01]married you do have kids all that is important but it's not
[49:10]what it's not the main goal it's part of the main part
[49:13]of it you use all of that to get closer to god
[49:18]subhanahu wa so most of the information we're going to present in
[49:36]these classes will be based on what most of the information we're
[49:42]going to present will be based on what the quran says and
[49:48]what say allah in fact all the information we're going to present
[49:54]will be based on the quran and we say this because we're
[50:01]talking about a world that we do not feel a world that
[50:04]we do not sense at the moment and so we need to
[50:09]depend on the words of god and the words of salam in
[50:16]order to know the details of this world which is part of
[50:24]part of the world of the unseen bear in mind and we'll
[50:35]conclude with this word inshallah bear in mind that our belief in
[50:48]the hereafter or say in the details of the hereafter depends on
[50:56]what on our belief in allah and our belief in rasulallah and
[51:02]our belief in if one doesn't believe in god or doesn't believe
[51:10]in rasulullah muhammad or doesn't believe in then he might not accept
[51:18]some or many of the details we're going to present for example
[51:25]mention what that at the time of that even quran mentions it
[51:29]at the time of death the angel of death called ezra pulls
[51:36]your soul out of your body the intellect doesn't have the capacity
[51:45]to confirm on its own this occurrence or to negate it what
[51:50]the intellect can tell you is it's possible if you have an
[51:57]interview with the intellect and you ask it oh mr intellect can
[52:00]an angel called ezra pull our souls at the time of death
[52:04]could this be true the intellect will say what yes it's possible
[52:08]and it's possible someone else will retrieve your soul i don't know
[52:13]well who knows yes there is an angel called almighty yes there
[52:22]is an angel called and will tell you his name his name
[52:25]is and his description is a b c x y and z
[52:34]the intellect says i'm not sure i can say it's possible quran
[52:38]say no it's gonna happen it's gonna happen so why do we
[52:43]believe in medical mode for example why do we believe that when
[52:48]a person enters his grave the grave turns into a garden from
[52:51]the gardens of heaven or a pitch from the pits of hell
[52:56]fire why do we believe that on the day of judgment people
[52:59]will be resurrected some people will be at peace others will be
[53:06]you know crying sobbing they will be scared to death but they
[53:09]won't be death on that day unfortunately uh there will be hisab
[53:14]there will be a bridge over hellfire so on so forth why
[53:16]do we believe in all these details when the intellect doesn't have
[53:23]the capacity to confirm all of these these details simply because we
[53:28]believe in god the prophet and we also believe in the infallibility
[53:36]of the prophet and since we believe in their infallibility our intellect
[53:45]tell us i obligate you we the intellects are talking we obligate
[53:51]you to believe in what the prophet and what said salam allah
[53:55]so when they inform you about the world of the hereafter and
[54:01]about the itsy bitsy details regarding the hereafter you must accept those
[54:06]details i'm saying this so we can be certain the information we're
[54:16]going to present in these classes is not based on whims or
[54:20]mere imagination no we don't want imagination we want reality it's based
[54:26]on the words of god in the quran and the words of
[54:35]those who don't believe in allah or don't believe in the quran
[54:40]or don't believe in might not accept what we say but when
[54:47]we address such people we're not responsible of demanding them to believe
[54:54]in the hereafter before they believe in what in allah and the
[55:00]prophets and their successors in better terms if i'm debating with an
[55:07]atheist or with someone who doesn't believe in allah or the prophet
[55:12]or albert before we come to the topic of the hereafter and
[55:14]what happens at the time of death etc or after the time
[55:19]of that we need to speak about what about god himself or
[55:22]the prophet once we confirm that there is a god that muhammad
[55:32]is his prophet and he is infallible that albait are the successors
[55:35]of muhammad and they're also infallible at that point we'll be ready
[55:40]to do what we'll be ready to discuss the issues of the
[55:45]hereafter and the details of the here after but alhamdulillah since i
[55:51]believe in all of those beliefs and you believe in all those
[55:54]beliefs as well then we are already uh ready we are ready
[56:01]to do what to look into the details of the here after
[56:09]alhamdulillah muhammad foreign
