[0:35][Music] in our last lesson we started examining the second verse that
[1:06]speaks about the change of the qibla remember we said there are
[1:10]four verses in the quran in swarath al-baqarah speak about this issue
[1:15]and after completing the first verse we began with the second one
[1:20]the second verse and we shed light on the first part of
[1:24]the verse says in this verse he says that this nation the
[1:50]nation of islam is a medium nation an intermediate nation meaning a
[1:56]nation that follows the middle path in the english translation of shakka
[1:59]that says and thus we have made you a medium just nation
[2:04]that you may be the bearers of witness to the people and
[2:09]that the apostle may be a bear of witness to you so
[2:14]we explained the meaning of of that term what does it mean
[2:21]when we say that the islamic nation is a medium nation a
[2:24]nation that follows the middle path and we said that when we
[2:33]look at our beliefs and our practices the islamic teachings in general
[2:40]we realize that islam demands us to do what to follow the
[2:46]middle path to follow the middle path we gave examples regarding this
[2:52]issue examples pertaining to our belief in allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala examples uh
[2:58]pertaining to our belief in the prophets salaam allah him our belief
[3:04]in the imams examples pertaining to morals for example anger management we
[3:11]said that for example with anger some people might have trouble controlling
[3:17]their anger and they might tell you that yes you should get
[3:22]angry at all times or whenever you wish to get angry whereas
[3:27]others might say you should never get angry you should always suppress
[3:33]your anger islam says what it says otherwise it does not say
[3:39]it does not accept the first statement nor the second rather it
[3:45]says when it is time to be angry yes use your anger
[3:50]meaning when there is a valid reason a good reason to be
[3:56]angry and getting angered at that specific point is needed then yes
[4:03]use your anger for example someone wants to attack you and your
[4:07]family and you know you try to convince him not to attack
[4:14]you not to do that crime yet he doesn't listen and he
[4:17]attacks here islam tells you what yes use your anger and defend
[4:20]yourself defend yourself because you're being attacked whereas if someone for example
[4:27]you know let's say makes a particular mistake or you know treats
[4:36]you in a bad manner for example he says a specific word
[4:39]to you that hurts you in general in general islam tells you
[4:44]in such cases control your anger restrain it if you restrain it
[4:50]you'll gain a high position in the eyes of allah subhanahu wa
[4:54]so we gave examples regarding anger management we also gave an example
[5:01]about uh controlling our desire controlling the desire to eat and after
[5:07]all those examples it became clear why allah would call this nation
[5:14]a medium nation um because the islamic teachings tell you to do
[5:22]what to follow the middle path not to go into what we
[5:29]call ifrat and not to go into what we call tafrit to
[5:33]be more clear in what we're saying islam tells you to basically
[5:37]guard your limits there are limits concerning everything concerning beliefs concerning practices
[5:43]concerning morals when you are not crossing any of your limits then
[5:50]you are following what the middle path whereas when you cross a
[6:00]limit you're either doing something uh you're you're you're either not doing
[6:07]what allah wants you to do you're not doing what you're supposed
[6:13]to do at all as in you're not taking the action that
[6:18]you're supposed to take or you are taking that action but you
[6:22]are doing too much you're doing too much you're doing something that
[6:29]is not required of you makes sense something that's not required of
[6:34]you and something allah does not even want you to do so
[6:39]today what we're going to do is we're going to continue with
[6:43]this verse in surat al-baqarah which speaks about the change of the
[6:49]qibla and um hopefully if we have enough time we'll read some
[6:57]narrations from it that um mention certain important issues regarding the change
[7:07]of the qibla and what happened when the qibla was changed as
[7:12]in what happened when the prophet sallallahu alaihi to face the holy
[7:25]kaaba what happened at that specific moment bear in mind i believe
[7:32]i told you when allah says uh this specific part of the
[7:42]verse especially the part after it has several interpretations inshallah later on
[7:51]if we're still alive we're going to shed light on other interpretations
[7:55]especially regarding the word so up until now we've understood what we've
[8:08]understood the meaning of the medium nation what does it mean when
[8:13]we say islam the the islamic nation is a medium nation allah
[8:16]says we made you a medium nation so you may become witnesses
[8:24]over the people and so that the prophet may be a witness
[8:35]over you now we said before that although allah is talking about
[8:39]the nation he's saying umma which means nation he's talking about specific
[8:46]people amongst the nation not every muslim he's not talking about every
[8:53]muslim rather he's talking about specific muslim who are the the heart
[8:59]of the islamic nation the core of the islamic nation these muslims
[9:06]are the greatest muslim who are they they are i told you
[9:14]we have several traditions from saying here in this verse when allah
[9:22]says and i believe it should be clear after understanding the meaning
[9:31]of the medium nation that not every muslim can be part of
[9:37]that medium nation why because some muslim are criminals let's be honest
[9:43]let's be very frank and blunt some people who said the two
[9:50]testimonies were criminals they committed hideous crimes like assassinated technically he was
[10:00]a muslim right he uttered the two shahadas the two testimonies but
[10:03]in reality he was a disbeliever he was a disbeliever in disguise
[10:09]a hypocrite similarly you had other people who also committed hideous crimes
[10:18]but they did utter the two testimonies those who killed imam al-hussein
[10:22]on the day of they uttered the two testimonies but were they
[10:28]true muslims they were disbelievers in disguise we're going to share with
[10:41]you a tradition which confirms that point so allah says to make
[10:51]this middle nation witnesses over the people and the prophet is going
[10:59]to be a witness over who over that specific ummah over that
[11:06]nation meaning over allah so now what is the meaning of of
[11:14]of them being witnesses and the prophet being a witness over or
[11:19]on here we have at least two interpretations today we're going to
[11:27]present one but as i promised you later on we're going to
[11:29]present the second interpretation so the first interpretation says what is meant
[11:38]by them being by them being witnesses is that they are role
[11:44]models for the people what's the relationship between being a witness and
[11:49]being a role model for the people well usually when you want
[11:57]someone to witness a specific deed especially if you're going to use
[12:05]his testimony in court or you might use his testimony in court
[12:08]you choose the best person to be your witness right for example
[12:16]suppose you want to um you want to give a friend of
[12:25]yours a large amount of money as alone say you want to
[12:27]give him twenty thousand dollars as alone and you want witnesses and
[12:31]beside you you have ten friends ten people you know but you
[12:37]know two of those ten friends are what are the closest to
[12:42]you and they're the purest out of your friends all of your
[12:45]friends are pure but these two are the purest they're the most
[12:50]knowledgeable amongst your friends the most pious the people that you can
[12:55]you know uh depend on more than others there are people that
[13:00]you can depend on more than other individuals when you're giving your
[13:06]friend alone you'll bring those two people if you're able to bring
[13:10]them you'll bring them right you'll tell them to witness what's happening
[13:15]because they're what they're the purest as we said the most pious
[13:18]the most knowledgeable you can depend on them more than you can
[13:21]depend on other individuals and so usually when you want to choose
[13:29]a witness to witness a specific event or a specific act you
[13:36]make sure to choose the best person the best person you're able
[13:44]to choose if that's understood then we'll understand the relationship between being
[13:55]a witness and being what being a role model allah says i
[14:01]want this medium nation to be what to be witnesses over the
[14:09]people meaning i want them to be role models i want these
[14:16]people to be proofs of god that show the people islam is
[14:27]what is the right religion and is a religion that commands you
[14:32]to follow the middle path how will they show them that islam
[14:38]is the right religion and islam is a religion that commands you
[14:42]to follow the middle path obviously through their actions through their actions
[14:48]when the people witness obeying allah they witness them you know manifesting
[15:00]extreme obedience towards god extreme submission manifesting you know their excellent morals
[15:09]at the same time they see how they're not you know completely
[15:16]detaching themselves from the world they did get married they didn't have
[15:22]children they had lands they had money they had a status amongst
[15:27]the community amongst the society in fact they had a status amongst
[15:34]humanity but at the same time they would favor their religion over
[15:38]what anything else when a person sees all of that he sees
[15:43]the characters of their stances their words he truly witnesses how islam
[15:52]commands you to do what to follow the middle path and to
[15:57]have a balanced life so these people are what are proofs of
[16:14]god indicating that this religion is a religion that commands you to
[16:18]follow the middle path and is the right religion and i want
[16:33]to make the prophet what the prophet a witness over you meaning
[16:37]the prophet is the role model of it that's exactly what you
[16:44]see when you analyze their biographies starting then the nine descendants of
[17:00]imam and hussain you realize all of them would follow the footsteps
[17:05]of rasulullah all of them considered rasulullah to be their master they
[17:10]considered rasulullah their master salallahu alaihi their teacher they would uphold and
[17:18]revive the sunan the teachings of the prophet so for them he
[17:23]is their role model they follow his lead and rasulullah follows allah's
[17:30]lead meaning rasulullah follows the exact teachings of god subhan so the
[17:37]prophet is a role model is a shaheed amongst meaning he's a
[17:43]role model for albert for the people meaning they are a role
[17:47]model for what for the rest of humanity again this is one
[17:58]tafsir of what of shahadah this is one tafsir of the word
[18:06]shuhada witnesses and the word shaheed witness however later on inshallah we're
[18:18]going to realize that uh the verse isn't only pointing to that
[18:22]meaning there's a another meaning that the verse is pointing to as
[18:27]well and that meaning has to do with witnessing the deeds committed
[18:35]by people witness is what people commit what people do we'll get
[18:41]to that inshallah you have a question before i continue is it
[18:59]okay you can repeat repeat what uh sophie um [Music] one interpretation
[19:27]for that part of the verse says that allah wants to make
[19:37]the middle nation which are albeit of course he wants to make
[19:43]the middle nation what role models for the people so it's confirming
[19:48]that are role models for the people salaamu alayhim so it's confirming
[20:03]that the prophet was a role model for like was it after
[20:19]or before that it was going to be a role model for
[20:24]the people the before or after what's the question sorry um like
[20:31]and and when the prophet and the prophet he was a role
[20:36]model for that bite eh yes um so if you said it
[20:43]was it was the role model for the people eh so whether
[20:49]like before or after the prophet was always a role model for
[20:53]the people and for a little bite themselves and albeit on the
[21:00]other hand were always a role model for the people and the
[21:04]prophet is the role model for the assad yeah which means he's
[21:08]a role model for everyone okay make sense hey hello makes sense
[21:15]masha'allah okay this is a very important part of the verse why
[21:34]because allah in it is revealing why he changed the quran why
[21:40]did he change the quran they were commanded to pray towards bhaital
[21:45]makhtas after 13 years in mecca and you know several months in
[21:53]medina they were commanded to face the kaaba why why the change
[22:00]allah mentions he says let me read the english translation first and
[22:05]we did not make that which you would have to be the
[22:11]qibla but that we might distinguish him who follows the apostle from
[22:21]him who turns back upon his heels what does that mean let's
[22:25]explain using simple terms allah is saying that it was a test
[22:30]he says but the sole reason he commanded them to face beitel
[22:38]machdis before he commanded them to face the kaaba was to test
[22:46]them who is going to follow rasulallah excuse me and who isn't
[22:51]going to follow him allah i have a question yes one second
[23:01]yes okay he says i want the sole reason i did so
[23:10]is to know who will follow the messenger and who will turn
[23:19]back upon his heels meaning who will telling the muslim interface baital
[23:34]makhtas at the beginning of their message was a task and telling
[23:39]them to change the qibla to al-qa'aba was also a test to
[23:45]see who will submit to rasulallah and who will not submit to
[23:51]rasulallah only to know who only so we can know who will
[24:05]follow the messenger he could have said he could have said only
[24:10]so we can know who will follow you but instead instead of
[24:15]using that calf yet okay which refers to rasulullah he said the
[24:22]messenger why to notify us that when we're told to submit to
[24:31]muhammad we're s to do so because he's the messenger of god
[24:34]so in reality submitting to rasulallah is submitting to allah submitting to
[24:41]muhammad is submitting to allah allah wants to remind us of this
[24:51]reality you're told to submit to muhammad because he's the messenger and
[24:56]so you're in reality submitting to god okay so when you met
[25:00]when you meant it's a test it's a test for the people
[25:05]okay i just want to make sure so that's right okay i
[25:12]know it was a test to the people or a test for
[25:17]the people you know uh is it just for all people well
[25:26]i do just those who made fun of the rasool you think
[25:31]that type of people no everyone everyone yeah yeah everyone okay thank
[25:38]you you're welcome now now some peop for some people it was
[25:43]a breeze as in it was easy for them to change from
[25:45]one qibla to another they did not find difficulty in that like
[25:50]whatever the prophet tells him he does he does not find any
[25:55]difficulty in following the prophet he's completely submissive to the prophet for
[26:01]some people it was somewhat difficult to you know change the qibla
[26:07]but in general it was a test for everyone a test for
[26:13]everyone now here a question might come to mind and i want
[26:21]you to focus with me so we can know how to answer
[26:26]this in case someone poses the following question allah is saying in
[26:31]arabic in the original quran the real quran s he's saying that
[26:41]the sole reason we we commanded you to face beethoven and then
[26:51]you know we told you to change the qibla was to test
[26:56]the people right we wanted to know that's what he says we
[26:59]wanted to know who will follow the messenger and who will refute
[27:05]to follow the messenger and as a result he'll go back into
[27:16]what he'll go back into disbelief by refuting to follow the prophet
[27:24]what's the question well allah saying we wanted to know so one
[27:32]might say so your god does not know allah didn't know who
[27:37]will follow the prophets and who will not follow him because the
[27:41]quran is saying who would actually fall the prophet and who wouldn't
[27:55]and as a result he was in need of testing the people
[27:59]to see and to actually know who will follow him and who
[28:04]won't or is the quran saying something else well i believe it's
[28:12]quite clear that we believe allah has knowledge of all things right
[28:18]allah always had knowledge of all things even before he created anything
[28:24]he knew everything this is confirmed by logic and it's confirmed by
[28:32]the quran itself confirms this point in multiple verses when he says
[28:37]for example indicates that allah knows everything absolutely everything what you can
[28:48]imagine and what you can't imagine what you can think of and
[28:52]what you can't think of what you've discovered and what you have
[28:56]not discovered and you won't discover he knows everything's up on so
[29:02]why does he say in this verse this is where i want
[29:11]you to focus with me here when allah uses the word knowledge
[29:17]he says we wanted to know what allah means is that he
[29:26]wanted whatever he knew subhanahu wata'ala to come into existence he wanted
[29:37]whatever he knew to actually appear in the outer world so allah
[29:46]knew that for example this group of people will follow the prophet
[29:50]when the qibla will be changed they will submit to rasulallah when
[29:57]did he know this he always knew it he always had knowledge
[30:00]about this matter even before he created anyone and anything he also
[30:09]knew always knew that this specific group won't follow rasulallah they will
[30:18]object they'll say for example all right since muhammad has changed the
[30:22]qibla then we're not going to follow him anymore he knew it
[30:26]now he wanted subhana wa he wanted whatever he knew to actually
[30:32]appear in this world he wanted whatever he knew to actually appear
[30:42]so the test was done why so that each individual may reveal
[30:51]his true colors as surat al haan kabut mentions the first few
[30:56]verses of surat alham kabut tell you why allah tests people simply
[31:02]he tests them so their true colors may come out don't misunderstand
[31:10]me it's not that allah you know wants certain people to fail
[31:13]the task no no la tahala wishes that everyone succeeds and everyone
[31:21]passes the test but allah knows that there are certain disbelievers in
[31:28]disguise they pretend to be believers he knows there are certain hypocrites
[31:34]in disguise they pretend to be believers so allah does what he
[31:41]afflicts them with a test which unmasks them it reveals what lies
[31:46]inside it reveals for them and for others what lies where what
[31:57]lies inside these people when you look at the history of salaam
[32:11]you realize allah for what to unmask the hypocrites he used see
[32:26]the muslims during the prophet's time sallallahu alaihi were of two kinds
[32:30]you had real muslims actual believers like salman abu dharr muhammad abdullah
[32:40]ansari abu and you had hypocrites that were acting like like muslims
[32:58]in reality they were hypocrites they were kuffar they were disbelievers allah
[33:05]used to do what to unmask these hypocrites that's what allah told
[33:12]his nation take care of after me treat them well support them
[33:18]love them don't hurt them don't fight them don't kill them when
[33:26]he died a minority actually loved supported them helped them they had
[33:38]a faction towards a light but then again you had a good
[33:44]amount of people who did the exact opposite they hurt them emotionally
[33:51]and physically they fought them some insulted them some called them disbelievers
[33:58]some fought them some actually shut their blood so here when i
[34:06]the average muslim see you know this so-called companion of rasulallah or
[34:13]so-called muslim trying his best to hurt a lamb that this person
[34:28]is what is not a real muslim had he been a real
[34:34]muslim he would not have you know tried his best to hurt
[34:39]allah or at least one of the members of albert so they
[34:43]were a task for mankind and a test for the muslims again
[34:49]i repeat allah doesn't wish for people to fail the test but
[34:53]then again he has decreed to test us and his test reveals
[35:00]what our true colors his tests reveal our true colors the same
[35:09]applies to us by the way the same applies to you know
[35:13]people who are actually actual believers when the believer is tested by
[35:26]god through a major or a minor test his what his true
[35:32]color shows his true color shows you see that you know the
[35:39]believer is resilient when resilience is needed he's patient when patience is
[35:47]needed he is for example reliant he relies on god when tawakkul
[35:51]is needed his his true potential is what coming out when he's
[35:56]being tested by allah then again then again when the believers the
[36:03]fallible believers not the infallibles when the fallible believers are tested throughout
[36:07]their lives sometimes they slip sometimes they fail a specific test and
[36:14]they end up sinning now bear in mind this failure is what
[36:21]is momentary failure it's not that they're failing the test overall no
[36:26]no but they fail certain minor tasks as in they get tested
[36:29]and then they slip so they fall into haram then they repent
[36:34]and they make up for what for that minor failure when that
[36:38]minor failure happens right it shows you that you still have to
[36:45]work on yourself so it helps you what understand that there are
[36:51]flaws that lie within me and i still need to work on
[36:54]myself to reach a higher level of perfection it reveals for you
[37:01]your flaws and it tells you you know what you might think
[37:03]that you're very high that you have a really high position but
[37:07]you know don't flatter yourself you're still not that high you still
[37:13]have to work on yourself for example you know you're in a
[37:22]gathering and you get the urge to back bite someone and you
[37:25]backbite that individual is this a form of failure yes it is
[37:28]you failed that specific test that minor test now you can make
[37:34]up for it you're a pant you do istighfar you seek forgiveness
[37:37]from allah you ask allah to forgive the person that you backbit
[37:42]but at that moment you failed at that specific moment you were
[37:47]afflicted with minor failure so it shows you you still have what
[37:53]you still have things to work on you're not you're not perfect
[38:01]yet same goes with salat when you pray and you know throughout
[38:12]half of the prayer you're somewhere else you're not with allah you're
[38:19]thinking about you know money business what shoes to wear after salat
[38:25]you know you're thinking about what to do after salat with your
[38:31]friends it means what it means you still have to work on
[38:36]yourself you still have to work on yourself bye so what do
[38:42]we understand we understand that the test reveals the colors of uh
[38:48]humanity everyone's true color and it also helps you understand you know
[38:54]at what position you are at the moment at what position you
[39:00]are also keep in mind and this is the last point i
[39:09]will mention before we continue the verse um keep in mind that
[39:22]when we're tested sometimes we succeed in you know major tasks difficult
[39:34]tasks but then we end up failing other major or minor tests
[39:38]so that shows you what it shows you that you do have
[39:44]good traits you are you know on the right track you're doing
[39:48]something good because you did pass a good amount of tests or
[39:53]large tests however the fact that you failed some tests indicates that
[40:01]you still need to work on yourself to become better for example
[40:08]someone maintains the five prayers every day every day he's praying the
[40:15]salah that's beautiful that's a very good trait that means he's what
[40:20]he has you know good traits in him he has virtues but
[40:30]that same person who let's say performs the five salawat every day
[40:36]listens to music which means that he has a flaw he needs
[40:44]to work on but allah says what he says that the soul
[40:51]reason he told the muslims to face baital mukhtas and then he
[40:57]changed the qibla was to test them in according to the translation
[41:16]here and this was surely hard except for those whom allah has
[41:25]guided right so allah is saying that it was difficult to change
[41:32]the qibla the law of concerning the change of the qibla was
[41:37]difficult for some people they had difficulty absorbing it and accepting it
[41:44]yet those who were guided by allah did not find it difficult
[41:51]to absorb or to accept khalas allah ta'ala wants me to pray
[41:55]towards baital this i'll pray towards by talkthis then he wants me
[42:00]to pray towards zakaba i'll pray towards the kaaba is telling us
[42:04]that if you are truly guided then you will be submissive to
[42:07]what allah wants because ultimately isn't that the core of faith what
[42:15]kind of what kind of faith tells you not to be submissive
[42:26]towards your god if someone is not submissive towards allah that means
[42:31]there's a there's a grave error in his faith or her faith
[42:35]but the one who's truly submissive to allah is truly faithful so
[42:47]allah is telling us here that those who are guided did not
[42:54]find the change of the qibla difficult to absorb suppose allah told
[43:02]us you know what when you pray i want you to face
[43:05]moscow will face moscow suppose allah said when you pray i want
[43:11]you to face you know mexico all right we'll face mexico whatever
[43:15]allah wants will do that is the core of what the core
[43:20]of belief now keep in mind allah did not tell us to
[43:24]face moscow or mexico but it's just an example then it says
[43:43]and allah was not going to make your faith to be fruitless
[43:50]most surely allah is affectionate merciful to the people see he's reminding
[43:59]us that he's he's rahim he's very gentle very kind very merciful
[44:04]towards the people so that in itself reminds us that allah doesn't
[44:10]test people so they can fail no he wants them to succeed
[44:15]subhanallah people end up failing because of their own shortcomings and even
[44:23]then he grants them what a way back he grants them he
[44:28]teaches them a way to come back to him so they can
[44:32]fix their mistakes and repent to allah they die and before it's
[44:38]too late so he says allah will not lose what he will
[44:51]not make your faith to be fruitless you will not make your
[44:58]faith to be fruitless what does that mean here according to the
[45:07]traditions of what is meant by iman what is meant by faith
[45:09]is salat salat see the muslims were praying towards what bait almost
[45:18]and then they were told to face the ka'ba so some muslimeen
[45:22]had this question in mind what happened to our past prayers now
[45:28]that we're facing the kaaba does this mean that our past prayers
[45:32]are void does this mean that our past prayers are for example
[45:36]rejected by allah they had that question going through their mind so
[45:40]allah reassured them that no no no your past prayers are fine
[45:44]you performed your duty your past prayers were correct and they're accepted
[45:52]by allah if you've upheld the conditions of acceptance so do not
[45:58]worry about that makhan allah allah will not nullify your faith again
[46:11]faith here pertains to what or points so from this verse we
[46:19]can understand that that the word faith the word faith sometimes is
[46:26]used to refer to actions like prayer like fasting like pilgrimage why
[46:34]because these actions are the product of faith if you're not faithful
[46:41]will you pray why would you pray you're not even faithful right
[46:45]if you're not faithful you don't believe in muhammad will you go
[46:52]to hajj and perform the hajj of muhammad no you won't why
[46:56]would you why in the world would you do that right why
[47:00]would you you're not faithful you don't believe in him so faith
[47:03]is what is the product uh sorry uh the actions the good
[47:08]actions like salat hajj zakat they're the product of what the product
[47:14]of faith so the word faith is sometimes used to refer to
[47:22]salat zakat and other good deeds here i'd like to remind you
[47:32]of a narration by anir al-mu'min that some people might dislike unfortunately
[47:38]and might even refute although there's no need absolutely no need to
[47:45]refute this narration which speaks about women and in it they have
[47:59]a deficiency in faith when you hear that you're like allahu akbar
[48:02]you know how can we accept this narration this narration has to
[48:08]be bogus this is not right and would never say such a
[48:12]word hold on one second complete the narration explains what he's saying
[48:18]and so he explains and he says they're not iman they have
[48:24]a deficiency in their faith what is meant by this word is
[48:29]that when they are on their menstrual cycle they do not pray
[48:31]and they do not fast that is the meaning of imam so
[48:37]when you when you read it when you read narcissa man you
[48:41]think amira means is dispraising women but that's not the case he's
[48:48]describing women we said what salat is called iman siam is called
[48:58]iman since women do not pray and do not fast when they
[49:02]are on their menstrual cycle and that means what there's a deficiency
[49:06]in their iman meaning there's a deficiency in their prayer and they're
[49:15]fast they don't pray every day of their life whereas men do
[49:18]they don't fast all the days of the month of ramadan usually
[49:23]why because they go through the menstrual cycle now if a lady
[49:27]does not go through the menstrual cycle obviously she would have the
[49:31]fast right like a lady who is in her menopause or who
[49:37]has passed that stage so the narration is not dispraising women nor
[49:46]is it saying that a lady is less faithful in belief than
[49:53]a man it's not saying that it's merely talking about the prayers
[50:01]and the fasts that are performed by women i just wanted to
[50:08]mention that point so we can remind ourselves that when we read
[50:17]the narrations we should not rush into refuting those blessed narrations because
[50:26]sometimes we might misunderstand the narration and refute it when in reality
[50:30]the imam actually said it but he did not mean what we
[50:37]understood from the narration so the air does not lie in the
[50:39]narration rather it lies in what we understood inshallah next week if
[50:48]we're still alive we'll continue with this important topic and we'll mention
[50:52]the narrations regarding what happened when the qibla was changed as in
[51:01]what happened on the spot when the prophet was told to change
[51:04]the qibla what happened with rasulullah and what happened with the
