[0:00]am all right in our last lesson we were um speaking about
[0:40]certain supplications that one should utter to those who are in the
[0:46]state of to the person who's about to U pass away and
[0:52]we mentioned uh a short supplication um and also the actually two
[0:59]short supplications right and we also mentioned a Hadith uh regarding and
[1:07]a particular supplication that was also short which he taught to someone
[1:10]who was witnessing his sins and his Good Deeds at the time
[1:15]of today inshallah we're going to continue by mentioning another good deed
[1:22]that is uh recommended a deed that a person should perform meaning
[1:30]it's must to perform it when someone else is in all right
[1:35]when for example the the is in and that one is reading
[1:41]Quran reading alquran one might ask Are there specific chapters that we
[1:49]should read and so I'll mention to you what mentioned in for
[2:03]those of you who don't know is a book it's a book
[2:07]that contains the the opinions of but it's a very important book
[2:15]such that multiple had commentaries or footnotes on secondly one of the
[2:27]um beautiful features in is that the book is highly detailed highly
[2:35]detailed most of the M most of the circumstances that come to
[2:44]your mind regarding uh Islamic laws are mentioned in that's how detailed
[2:49]it is of course we're excluding certain matters that did not exist
[2:58]during the time of those are different those are called right new
[3:07]matters new circumstances that pop up as people progress um in in
[3:15]as basically time continues so he said in that it is recommended
[3:24]to read and and saat come after each other they come after
[3:33]each other first you have y then you have he said it
[3:42]is recommended to read these two chapters so that the person is
[3:44]relieved quickly so if you feel that the person in is going
[3:51]through a tough time read for him those two chapters you'll help
[3:54]him inallah when when our time comes someone will help us right
[4:01]because when you treat people in a good manner Allah subhana wa
[4:06]tala will treat you in a good manner he'll send you someone
[4:09]or some people who will treat you in the same way sorry
[4:18]because they relieve the person who's passing away quickly in we will
[4:27]read a Hadith about about saat today inshah another chapter in fact
[4:41]it's not a chapter it's a collection of ayas collection of verses
[4:48]that one should read or the AY inah Bak which ones from
[4:53]255 to 257 meaning a right and the two ayas the two
[5:03]verses that come after it ayat is a mindblowing ay Subhan Allah
[5:16]and its effects are marvelous effects perhaps one day we can um
[5:24]shed light on it once again yeah yeah good question I'm not
[5:31]sure is this from it that says after every and only between
[5:41]you and I I I remember there's a had like that in
[5:48]our I I'll have to double check to to confirm but we
[5:53]do have multiple in fact many Hadi that highly praise and that
[5:58]mention its its effect So reading with ay 256 and 257 for
[6:09]the person who is also recommended number three he says what's yunus
[6:18]verse three yunus verse three what's theah again uh it's not a
[6:30]Surah it's an ay they call it3 verse three ver Surah yunus
[6:40]verse three going back toah Bak reading the last three verses of
[6:54]Bak is also must the last three verses of Surah Bak number
[7:12]five reading Subhan Allah which mentions mentions they were in deep need
[7:26]of the verses that speak about due to what happening in the
[7:30]Muslim uh um especially theid East so is is good it's recommended
[7:42]to recite it when someone is in finally he says any part
[7:45]of the Quran it's also must to recite any part ofran so
[7:52]you want to recite Al no problem Quran is Quran it's beautiful
[7:57]it's the word of Allah subhana wa tala but there is emphasis
[8:03]on reciting the suras that we mentioned and the ayas that we
[8:07]mentioned all five of these or all six of these recommendations we
[8:21]will realize as well that one of the Deeds that are that
[8:28]that are after someone passes away all right is done am did
[8:31]his his work now the person passed away now what are there
[8:36]must yes one of the must after the person's death is to
[8:38]read Quran read Quran beside that person we buried him now what
[8:47]Quran it quran's always good Subhan Allah there and for example I
[9:00]reading the qur next to him the audio Quran is is the
[9:04]word of Allah subhana wa tala and it's as it says about
[9:08]itself right it's light uh so having uh um an audio player
[9:14]reciting Quran is good but I would I would prefer personally having
[9:20]an actual human being because when you have an actual human there's
[9:26]a there's someone who's reading the Quran there right yeah yes you
[9:33]mention the source time here let me write it for you on
[9:41]the board [Music] I don't know can you say it again yeah
[10:06]I'll I'll send it to you guys on yeah because we can't
[10:09]chat section I didn't move the camera because I'm just writing two
[10:11]words anyway we can't see it too it's too small you can't
[10:16]see the writing huh yeah thank you no problem literally meaning the
[10:34]firmest handle that's the literal meaning of the firest handle you that
[10:44]name say perhaps he he thought you know if you apply these
[10:57]aam which are obviously derived from Quran and uh the ntion of
[11:04]you'll be safe right and when you're let's say in a tough
[11:14]pos position there's a possibility that you you you drown you need
[11:18]what you need something to grab on to save you from drowning
[11:20]so you need to hold on to something but it's as if
[11:25]he's telling you hold on to these and you'll be safe of
[11:28]course with the condition of believe in you have to believe in
[11:33]the truth and you follow these perhaps that's what was going through
[11:37]his mind yes the flags of guidance um um yes okay what
[11:55]is it regarding I think I I missed it so Muhammad Ali
[11:59]was asking why would name his book I told him perhaps he
[12:07]was giving this implicit message which is if you hold on to
[12:11]these which I'm mentioning to you which are Quran and the words
[12:16]of and you believe in the sect of you believe in themselves
[12:22]then you will be saved on the day of judgment so perhaps
[12:25]he he named his book because we human beings need something to
[12:33]hold on to to be saved from drowning in the oceans of
[12:40]sins and misguidance okay Allah it makes sense thank you you're welcome
[12:49]who is it written by one of our Mar one of our
[13:00]past called all right let me share with with you um a
[13:12]Hadith found inites the book excuse me this is the Hadith that
[13:29]I promised you which speaks about Surah says I saw peace be
[13:44]upon him who do you think uh this person is which IM
[13:50]are we talking about here close you there so he says I
[14:23]saw the IM addressing his sonim and he was telling him rise
[14:27]my son told him read beside the head of your brother meaning
[14:40]read it up until it ends read read the whole Surah he
[14:57]began reading so when he got to that verse the tradition says
[15:02]the young boy passed away at that point so the the the
[15:09]Surah was not done yet was not done yet and the the
[15:16]person the young man or the young boy passed away after this
[15:23]incident the the person who passed away was covered he was covered
[15:28]with a cloth and the people left when that happened turned to
[15:49]he said that we we had been used to the following when
[15:55]someone would would be in when when someone's death would arrive we
[15:59]would read Yim beside that individual and now you're commanding us to
[16:06]recite wanted to know why so the IM said there's another version
[16:20]for the Hadith which says meaning whenever is read beside a person
[16:34]who's passing away and that person is going through distress because of
[16:38]the fact that he is passing away whenever that Surah is read
[16:43]in such a circumstance Allah subhah wa taala quickly relieves the individual
[16:50]who is passing away he quickly he quickly makes him feel Comfort
[17:00]yes see friend I'm not exactly sure perhaps he's addressing y ja
[17:16]or perhaps he's addressing someone else someone else but he's answering y's
[17:21]question is the IM son like son or different I'm not sure
[17:29]uh that question did come to mind but I'm not sure if
[17:35]if this is uh if he's im's brother or he's someone else
[17:47]can a person convert I think they can person convert at the
[17:58]moment of we narrated The Story of the man if you remember
[18:06]the the the the person who who who uttered his his belief
[18:13]in Allah and his belief in and how that saved him so
[18:19]that story indicates that yes a person can change uh sides person
[18:28]can uh can believe when even if his death is near but
[18:32]the question is how close uh was his death to him what
[18:40]was he was he seeing anything or not that's the question so
[18:43]for that I'd have to get back to you anything and yes
[18:51]yes did he see something did he not see some something at
[18:57]the moment I don't uh call what the Hadith said here let
[19:04]me pull it out quickly where is this yeah so here the
[19:45]theith of abak says that the man was sick and Abu Bak
[19:48]came to him and visited him when he was sick right but
[20:00]it doesn't mention that he was seeing the the Affairs or the
[20:06]uh the matters of the the Hereafter so what I can tell
[20:12]you at the moment that a person can uh reveal his faith
[20:18]can believe in the truth even if his death is very close
[20:21]and Allah T will accept that from him but if begins then
[20:29]at what point does the door of repentance close that's what I
[20:36]have to to check to give you a precise answer okay so
[20:46]this is thei regarding concerning the I'm not going to go into
[20:56]its at the moment if you'd like next week we can uh
[20:58]shed light on its subh all right do you have any questions
[21:20]no all good J let me see how much time we have
[21:29]left yeah we still time so remember if someone the m is
[21:39]is in read for him especially if you feel that the m
[21:42]is going through trouble that he's going through tough times it will
[21:45]relieve him yes you have for example you're in a different country
[21:56]Allah being present definitely is is uh what we're talking about if
[22:05]you're physically beside him then read if you're not there then there's
[22:08]no harm in reading it perhaps it will have an effect as
[22:12]well there's no harm at all yeah especially if he can hear
[22:17]you right and sometimes someone might be in and you're you're away
[22:22]from that individual you're in a different city or different country but
[22:26]you have a relative who's beside the person and they've opened a
[22:32]video a video call for you he can hear you technically right
[22:36]why not yeah recite whatever you can recite try to help him
[22:49]okay we've talked about things that are must things that should be
[22:55]done when someone is passing away what about things that are should
[23:00]we avoid certain matters if someone is in the state of here
[23:08]I'll mention to you two matters or two issues that uh we
[23:14]also find in and we also find it in was the first
[23:26]one who wrote A Min yeah um what was that like why
[23:33]in addition to the res if I can put it that way
[23:35]sometimes uh you need to modify the uh theah need to modify
[23:42]it um for example the style uh through which a particular is
[23:48]written suits a particular time particular era so then as uh time
[23:56]continues As Time prevails uh the perhaps the style used by that
[24:05]has to be modified so we can explain to the people their
[24:10]and help them absorb their with more ease not to forget that
[24:19]also sometimes what happens is the um the thewa different right let's
[24:31]say called A and B right the fwa the verdicts of a
[24:37]are much different than the verdicts of B so instead of you
[24:43]of of of B coming forward and using the book of a
[24:45]and then you know writing comments hundreds of comments on his book
[24:49]saying I defer with him in this m and that M he
[24:54]just changes the book right he changes it obviously there will be
[24:57]a lot of on which they um they agree but then again
[25:03]because there's a lot of differences uh he just finds it better
[25:06]to write a a new book uh one third point is that
[25:14]sometimes the the way a particular book is organized um might not
[25:23]be the best a second believes that if we want to help
[25:30]people understand understand Islamic laws then we have to even change the
[25:36]order of the chapters so the new book is written yes go
[25:38]ahead so for example for sayani at least in English you you
[25:45]have a book Islamic laws and then you have the Arabic is
[25:48]it is the English Islam law the translation of the Minh no
[25:55]Islamic laws is a translation of yeah which is in Persian so
[26:02]which should be which should we be refering to uh for is
[26:09]very precise it's been written by himself yeah the first Min was
[26:16]written by then wrote his so his had some verdicts that are
[26:26]different than's verdicts also wrote his so his his is different to
[26:36]a significant degree than the of right he also wrote his and
[26:47]if you compare say you will find clear differences one of which
[26:52]is with all the respect of course sayani and Sim Sim's um
[26:59]uh the wording of his Min is um easier to understand yeah
[27:06]easier to understand easier to absorb than say's wording on the other
[27:27]hand his he what's his it's the same but he makes comments
[27:40]when he differs with say on something in the in the footnotes
[27:42]he'll tell you in this issue I say I don't agree here
[27:48]or I agree here whatever right he he mentions his comments in
[27:54]the footnotes section it so what are these two things or deeds
[27:59]that are that are disliked at the time of number one it
[28:06]is disliked for someone who's on or a lady who's on her
[28:16]menstrual cycle on to be present beside the person who's in okay
[28:21]would you like me to write these points down would it be
[28:27]easier for you guys that's okay so she you're saying in know
[28:33]if someone is dying uh is a one is on J shouldn't
[28:41]be close to the pass the person who's passing away they shouldn't
[28:44]be beside that person and they shouldn't be in the same room
[28:49]in his presence in the same room s okay how about if
[28:54]someone is uh already dead uh and he's in the tabot and
[29:04]you're him is that okay or no for the the lady who's
[29:09]on who's on hide yes uh I'll have to check okay I'll
[29:14]have to check but right now we're talking about someone who's in
[29:21]okay okay that's a good question very good question the second thing
[29:27]that is my or the second deed that is and please remember
[29:31]this one because I I've seen people making mistakes regarding this one
[29:35]is to touch the person who's in such that there's skin- to-
[29:43]skin contact okay he's in don't touch him read Quran do no
[29:48]problem but don't touch that person um the I remember reading the
[30:01]the hikma the wisdom give me one second S as you write
[30:09]down the because it hurts him says if you touch him such
[30:43]that their skin to skin contact the person who's passing away gets
[30:47]hurt so don't add to his pain right yes sister so you're
[30:57]saying also don't touch the person if you are on your period
[31:02]or janaba no here we're talking about someone who's not not and
[31:11]not on okay so we're saying even if someone is not or
[31:16]not that person should not touch the person who's in oh wow
[31:23]yeah any let if your parent is passing away you can't touch
[31:28]you can only no wait until the process is done then then
[31:34]you can touch them the Soul's coming out right uh you you
[31:47]can tell in in some cases or many cases for example um
[31:54]you're in a battle your comrade gets Shen he got gets and
[32:00]you see him you know he's critically wounded and it seems like
[32:05]he's passing away the way he's breathing the way he's talking to
[32:08]you it seems like he's passing away so you know at that
[32:12]point that he's or your family member is sick J he's in
[32:16]the hospital he's in the ICU and the doctors are saying it's
[32:20]only a matter of hours or days before he passes over and
[32:22]then you can see that his health is deterior deteriorating and the
[32:31]the numbers uh on on the screen like the the the the
[32:34]oxygen level the heart beats Etc they're dropping but you know at
[32:42]that point also the way he's breathing could indicate that he is
[32:46]in when someone is in let's say the ICU and he's um
[32:53]unconscious and he's he's breathing in a way where it seems like
[32:58]no yeah yeah the soul might coming out and the numbers are
[33:01]dropping then technically you know he's in or let me say you
[33:07]can assume he's in if Allah wishes to bring him back to
[33:10]life that's up to him subhana yeah and there have been cases
[33:17]by the way and during the the covid crisis there had there
[33:21]have been cases there were cases where someone's uh uh oxygen level
[33:25]dropped to a significant degree but then Subhan Allah Allah revived that
[33:31]individual yeah multiple cases not just one I mean with or just
[33:40]by itself I'm not I'm not sure what was done exactly that's
[33:43]the the oxygen level dropped to a to a significant degree we're
[33:51]talking about a degree that normally yeah should lead to death Subhan
[33:59]Allah would restore their health and it would go back up we
[34:08]we deal with things based on what based on apparent evidence yeah
[34:15]based on apparent evid it means is one the leaving the person's
[34:24]body while he's passing away that's the right is basically when the
[34:33]person is in in his last moments in this world and in
[34:38]his first moments in the world of the Hereafter that's okay thank
[34:44]you you're welcome sometimes a person would report seeing their previously dead
[34:50]come to read them that also that would be one of the
[34:53]signs or that doesn't have the person hallucinating at that point could
[34:59]it be that he's hallucinating well they're very sick but there but
[35:06]he's saying that oh came to me he's here right now and
[35:09]they're waiting for so would we assume that that person is hallucinating
[35:15]or is that is it actually happening and a sign no if
[35:23]if my relative was you know was sick critically sick and he's
[35:27]telling me he's seeing his his an an cestors beside him I
[35:30]I take precaution and consider him right yeah yeah and a lady
[35:38]that said Allah saved me I'll put on the and then in
[35:43]that same day essentially he said I I just saw my father
[35:49]come and give me an her father been pass away and then
[35:52]she died after Subhan Allah this is after she wore hij up
[35:57]she didn't end up she she worked so after she wor hij
[36:02]by a day she passed away no no like she was sick
[36:04]in the bed uhhuh and she did a n that if I
[36:08]become better I'll wear that just kind a side but yeah so
[36:14]she said that she saw her father come give her a gift
[36:18]and then soon after she passed away away Subhan Subhan Allah we
[36:32]see at the time of that we're going to see them for
[36:36]sure but we want to see them as they're pleased with us
[36:40]not as they're angry so those are the two so remember them
[36:52]because one day you might need to apply these here in next
[37:00]week we'll continue and if Allah T permits we'll mention certain recommended
[37:05]Deeds that one should do after death so is done the person
[37:12]died now what there are also must Deeds we mention them
