[4:22]and sisters thank you for coming on a Halloween night spooky night

[4:29]um alhamdulillah we we get to spend this night with Salah and

[4:36]Dua and learning how uh how Allah would judge us u in

[4:41]the lecture tonight inshallah we the people usually we tend to judge

[4:47]each other with bias uh based on how we look and how

[4:52]we talk and our background and religious so it be good to

[4:56]uh learn today uh from the lecture how to um judge J

[5:01]each other fairly uh the same way we expect from Allah to

[5:05]judge us uh fairly uh but before we continue I have uh

[5:10]couple announcements tomorrow uh our youth have a program um talk and

[5:21]Tacos uh tomorrow Friday at 8:00 P.M uh age 13 and above

[5:25]um also on this Saturday we have um a class a workshop

[5:34]for essential ER and CPR training um uh with the help of

[5:39]IMI um we do in a class at 3 p.m.

[5:43]to 700 p.m uh that would include uh training on CPR and

[5:46]um uh wound care and uh common other emergencies it's important uh

[5:52]class if you got time to come and attend also want to

[5:55]remind that we have two classes that are going on now we

[5:58]have the Quran recitation class uh which led by say Ahmed Al

[6:05]musawi uh on Mondays at 700 p.m.

[6:06]uh and also we have another class that led by um uh

[6:11]under the name of debunking misconceptions uh course will cover common misconceptions

[6:18]of Shia Islam uh very important class uh you watched last night

[6:22]lecture and U include a lot of stuff that help us as

[6:28]Shia Muslims to be able to debunk and our argue and there's

[6:30]uh stuff that uh uh they accuse us about so very important

[6:37]class this is on Mondays at 7 um p.m right say 7

[6:42]p.m.

[6:43]I'm sorry Wednesday so we have Monday and Wednesday classes um all

[6:47]the details are on the uh WhatsApp uh group if you want

[6:49]to sign up for these classes um and now please um help

[6:57]me welcome Sam with a loud Muhammad Muhammad alhamdulillah m one of

[8:08]the fundamentals one of the fundamental beliefs that we have as Muslims

[8:13]and this is not only for Muslims you find other religions believe

[8:20]in this and that is the belief in the day of judgment

[8:25]the belief in the belief in Resurrection returning to Allah subhanahu wa

[8:37]ta'ala and being judged by God for everything that we did in

[8:42]this duny when you read the Quran probably every page in the

[8:48]Quran talks about when you read the Hadith of the Prophet the

[8:54]Hadith of the other prophets the Hadith of the imams of the

[8:59]bit you see that there is this constant reminder of and the

[9:06]day of judgment has many names many names to describe the day

[9:18]of judgment that day the in the day that we will all

[9:25]go back to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala while we see that the

[9:29]Quran talks about the day of judgment the Hadith talk about the

[9:33]day of judgment also the the intellect of every single being will

[9:39]tell you that there should be a day of judgment it won't

[9:43]make sense if there is no judgment day if there's no return

[9:49]to be judged life doesn't make sense how does a a God

[9:54]who is powerful enough to create this being who is so wise

[9:59]and so knowledgeable to create everything with precision and accuracy everything is

[10:04]created to the dot everything is created to the very fine detail

[10:12]just look at your DNA and look at your the the cells

[10:15]and look at everything is very detailed and the more you seek

[10:23]knowledge you go to medical school you go to Anatomy you become

[10:26]an engineer you become an astronaut whatever it is you will find

[10:29]more more detail and more sophistication in the creation so a lord

[10:35]who created all of this is not going to hold my life

[10:38]accountable to detail a lord who created all of this sophistication is

[10:44]just going to tell people you come and you live 60 70

[10:46]years and then you die and that's it each one goes that's

[10:52]it doesn't make sense the tells me that a Lord who has

[10:55]always been very detailed and very precise in the creation of this

[11:02]universe and creation of everything in this universe this Lord is going

[11:08]to be precise in the creation and in the return in the

[11:13]in judging us so we see that this is our belief while

[11:19]the Quran tells us while the prophets have all told us our

[11:22]also tells us this Allah subhah wa taala describes in Surah Y

[11:28]how how the insan this human being that was created from a

[11:42]from a blood clot now he becomes so he wants to argue

[11:46]and defend with God he he now this little thing who was

[11:54]you were nothing Allah says you were from a blood clot but

[12:03]now you want to argue with God and now you want to

[12:06]debate with God he says who's going to bring G bring these

[12:10]bones back to life when they have become ashes Allah subhana wa

[12:15]tala tells him the one who created it out of nothing is

[12:20]able to recreate it is that hard for Allah no it's not

[12:25]hard for Allah our Common Sense will dictate that there is a

[12:29]judgment day now yes it's convenient for some people who don't want

[12:32]to believe it's convenient to come and say yes there's no judgment

[12:37]day we all die and everyone it's as if nothing has happened

[12:41]that's the convenient that's the lazy answer but if you actually use

[12:45]your you use your intellect you look at the proofs and the

[12:50]facts you see that Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala will recreate and will bring

[12:55]life back together and another example Allah throughout the Quran gives us

[13:00]examples of the day of judgment one example is right now you

[13:03]see the trees what's happening to the trees right now during the

[13:07]fall the the leaves are falling in one month in a few

[13:14]weeks you look outside at that tree and you see that tree

[13:17]looks dead it's just Twigs right it's dead you look at it

[13:24]and you would not imagine that this tree is going to become

[13:27]so Lush and so green and so fruitful and filled with vegetation

[13:32]who's the one that does that every year every year the cycle

[13:39]happens so we see this cycle happens of things coming out of

[13:41]nothing Allah is the one who does it we don't say how

[13:45]does this happen where do these leaves come from where does this

[13:47]plant I put a seed in the ground and it comes into

[13:51]life and life is born out of nothing two men a man

[13:53]and a woman they they marry and they have a child out

[13:57]of nothing no one comes and says this is strange this is

[14:01]where is this coming from but with people question so we have

[14:06]to use that same logic that same and yes non-believers it's convenient

[14:11]for them to say that there is no day of judgment the

[14:19]the cafir does not want to have a day of judgment because

[14:24]their whole life they were far from God so when they ra

[14:26]when they are raised from their grave they're going to say I

[14:30]wish there was no day of judgment I wish I was soil

[14:34]and another [Music] verse those who lied those who rejected when they're

[14:53]standing and they see the Flames of the fire in front of

[14:58]them only if we could go back and we did not lie

[15:02]and reject this [Music] truth and another verse in Allah says in

[15:11]the Quran the the criminals they will have their head down out

[15:22]of Shame out of guilt they say oh Allah we saw and

[15:38]we heard let us go back and we will do good we

[15:39]are believers let us go back to this life so that we

[15:45]can do good this is one group of people but the day

[15:51]of judgment is not a horrible day for everyone the the Believers

[15:54]they anticipate for the day of judgment because they know you're going

[15:57]to a just Lord if I'm going to be judged by someone

[16:01]who does not love me someone who's not just I'm going to

[16:06]be afraid this is why we're afraid of tyrants this is why

[16:09]we're afraid of dictators this is why we're afraid of oppressors would

[16:11]I be afraid of Allah if I did not do anything wrong

[16:17]I shouldn't be afraid of Allah this is why the day of

[16:19]judgment is the day of H it's the day of Justice it's

[16:23]the day where all of the oppressed people right now you think

[16:30]of these children and Gaza you think of these families that have

[16:34]been oppressed their whole family has been obliterated whole families are wiped

[16:40]out what crime did they commit what wrong did they do where

[16:43]is their Justice if there was no day of judgment if there

[16:46]was no where is the justice for these kids for these families

[16:51]for these people that have been oppressed where is the justice for

[16:55]the where's the justice for the tyrants if there's no day of

[16:59]judgment then that means there's no justice then that means this Lord

[17:04]who created everything in in Precision is not just is not ad

[17:08]and that is not true this is why the the Believers they

[17:14]wait for the day of judgment the Hadith describes that the dun

[17:17]this dun this is a sigon this is a prison for the

[17:23]believer imagine a a a bird in a cage and as soon

[17:28]as the bird flies out the bird is going to be free

[17:30]this is how it is for the M this is why the

[17:33]M you see their lives are not comfortable you this is why

[17:37]you see the M the Believers they're always being tested they're always

[17:42]going through trial after trial why because Allah subhana made this life

[17:46]to be a test and Allah wants to reward them and Allah

[17:49]wants to give them a higher rank this is why the M

[17:53]the day the M the soul of the believer goes back to

[17:57]Allah that is the day ofid for the m that is the

[18:01]day of for those whose lives were unjustly taken like the lives

[18:08]that have been taken in the last year Allah subhana describes in

[18:11]the Quran what does mean meaning that you will be pleased and

[18:25]Allah will make sure that you are pleased so there's this there's

[18:29]this act of Act of pleasing that's coming from both sides Allah

[18:35]is going to make sure that you are pleased and you are

[18:38]going to be pleased going back to Allah subhana tala in another

[18:45]verse Allah subhana describes those who are of Allah those who are

[18:54]close to God those who have a healthy relationship with God don't

[18:59]be afraid for them these days we are losing a lot of

[19:04]sh we are losing a lot of loved ones we hear every

[19:06]day this person lost a family member this person was killed innocent

[19:10]lives are being taken my dear brothers and sisters believe me if

[19:19]we saw and we experience what they experience the moment their soul

[19:23]leaves this life we would wish that we were in their place

[19:25]we would wish that we were in their place yes we become

[19:30]become sad because we miss them but we believe we are M

[19:33]we believe that they are in a better place so everyone will

[19:40]be judged by God is not a horrible day for some people

[19:43]it's going to be Dreadful and for the it's going to be

[19:48]the day ofid for them it's going to be the day of

[19:50]Celebration it's going to be the day of returning to Allah subhanahu

[19:57]wa ta'ala and God blessing them so for the M it's a

[20:00]it's a good day for them now this brings us to this

[20:06]question how will Allah subhanahu wa taala judge people of course there's

[20:10]many themes to look at on the day of judgment what happens

[20:15]to people during the month of muharam I gave a a sermon

[20:18]a lecture on how and the phases and what happens on the

[20:22]day of judgment so I want to look at it from a

[20:24]different angle how does God's justice work how does Allah subhanahu wa

[20:31]ta'ala judge people in this life people judge people based on worldly

[20:38]standards you might look at someone and you might say I judge

[20:41]this person by the passport that this person carries I judge this

[20:47]person by the color of their skin I judge this person whether

[20:49]this person is from my town or not my from my town

[20:53]I judge this person by their looks I judge this person by

[20:56]their money by the car that they drive these are bias es

[21:01]that we all have and it's really difficult to let go of

[21:04]these biases this is why human beings we are naturally biased and

[21:10]we have to be very careful from that we have to be

[21:13]very careful not to allow our biases and our dictate the way

[21:21]we make decisions in life says Whoever has a the amount of

[21:38]a mustard seed of Jah of arrogance in their heart Allah subhanahu

[21:42]wa taala will resurrect this person with the of meaning prior to

[21:46]the religion of Islam IM was asked so does that mean that

[21:54]I can't be proud of my country I can't be proud of

[21:56]my Village my community my language my people does that mean that

[22:01]I have to remove all of that and be color blind or

[22:03]be no no no differences whatsoever the Imam he said no you

[22:09]could love your people you could love your community you could be

[22:13]proud of who you are however if you are in a position

[22:17]of making a decision I want to make a decision I want

[22:20]to choose two people and I chose the wrong just because this

[22:24]person is close to me and I made the wrong decision I

[22:30]CH I favored someone wrongfully then that is that is but just

[22:34]to love and be proud of your nation and your nationality there

[22:39]is nothing wrong with that so we see that the way we

[22:42]judge people we have that bias Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala has that infinite

[22:51]knowledge Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala has the source of knowledge what does that

[22:58]mean that means God's know knowledge does not grow like our knowledge

[23:01]my knowledge today I have one knowledge I read a book my

[23:06]knowledge increases some people their knowledge decreases each one their their knowledge

[23:10]changes Allah subhah wa ta'ala is the essence of knowledge God's knowledge

[23:15]does not change this is why we know that Allah subh Allah

[23:23]knows what was and what will be and what is until the

[23:28]day of judgment the knowledge of God does change so being that

[23:33]God knows everything God's justice is going to be very different Allah

[23:37]subhana wa taala will judge us based on his infinite knowledge and

[23:43]Allah subhana tala describes in several verses in the Quran he knows

[23:52]that slight movement of an eye you know sometimes you might look

[23:56]to your right look to your left no one notices who notices

[24:00]that Allah knows that and he also knows what you have hidden

[24:07]in your heart he knows what you were thinking about even when

[24:12]you didn't say it he knows the thoughts that you have in

[24:14]your mind the intentions that you have you're doing something purely for

[24:18]God or maybe I'm doing something I make it look like I'm

[24:22]doing it for God but in fact I'm doing it for other

[24:24]people people don't know my intentions but Allah knows what's what's my

[24:32]intention in another verse Allah subhah waala describes how God knows everything

[24:39]and everything on the day of judgment will be recorded imagine you

[24:45]go on the day of judgment and you see a whole book

[24:47]is it going to be one chapter book is it going to

[24:50]be two chapters imagine every day in your life is a whole

[24:56]chapter every day in your life is a couple Pages everything that

[24:59]you do your whole life from the moment you were born until

[25:03]the moment we close our eyes Allah subhah wa ta'ala has that

[25:08]written down there are angels that are writing down everything everything that

[25:38]he says everything that he does there's a there's a there's a

[25:44]an angel that is written writing down everything that we do so

[25:55]in another verse Allah subhah wa tala in Allah says Allah says

[26:20]in the Quran they will see the book in front of them

[26:26]the M the criminal the oppressor they're going to be afraid to

[26:31]look at it just like a student that did not care about

[26:34]their grades they they're not happy to look at their report card

[26:42]they say wo be upon us what kind of a book is

[26:49]this every small and big is written in that they will see

[26:58]their own action right in front of them Allah is not going

[27:04]to bring someone else's actions and put them in my book Allah

[27:06]is going to put my own actions Allah does not oppress anyone

[27:14]so one way that Allah judges people is that God has knowledge

[27:17]you go to any judge the judge only has what's only judges

[27:21]based on what they see in front of them they don't know

[27:24]what's in my heart they don't know what's hidden behind the scenes

[27:27]the judge only sees what they have but Allah subhana tala nothing

[27:32]is hidden from Allah second another very important way that Allah judges

[27:38]people a lot of people ask how is God going to judge

[27:42]for example those who are in the Amazon and those who are

[27:44]never heard about Islam and those who never heard about the Quran

[27:47]we always get these questions Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala because he has that

[27:52]knowledge Allah judges people with Justice and Allah knows what's in in

[28:01]the hearts and in the minds of people Allah knows the circumstances

[28:05]of people there's a difference between equality and Equity these are two

[28:10]separate things equality and Equity equality maybe I have for example a

[28:16]20-year-old and a 10-year-old and a 5-year-old I come and I give

[28:23]them all $20 I say here's $20 for you here's $20 for

[28:25]you and here's $20 for you that's equality quality but is that

[28:34]Equity no equity I have to see what circumstances each person is

[28:39]going through what needs each person is going through and I give

[28:41]them based on their own needs a child a newborn child requires

[28:48]90% attention 100% attention but a 15-year-old a 10-year-old requires less attention

[28:56]a 30-year-old requires much attention different types of needs that everyone each

[29:02]one has so this is equity when you know when you have

[29:06]knowledge you know what circumstances people are going through and this is

[29:15]how Allah subhana tala judges people so we always look at things

[29:19]based on appearances but I don't know what circumstances people are going

[29:23]through maybe for example someone just joined the religion of Islam versus

[29:27]someone who was born as a Muslim Allah subhana tala will judge

[29:32]this person in one way and judge the other person in another

[29:35]way two people give s two people give charity one person Allah

[29:39]knows this person has very small amounts of money in their bank

[29:45]account but they came and they gave in proportion to what they

[29:47]have they gave a very high amount even though many people look

[29:51]down upon it even though many people they come and they say

[29:53]what is this he gave $5 he gave $100 they come and

[29:57]they look down upon it but maybe someone who's a multi-millionaire they

[30:01]come and they give $1,000 they come and they give a that

[30:06]ratio is much smaller Allah knows that so Allah subhana wa taala

[30:13]knows what's in the hearts of the people Allah knows what circumstances

[30:16]people are going through and this is how Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[30:22]will judge people another another um way that Allah subhana T judges

[30:28]people and we mention men this that Allah subhana taala judges people

[30:31]with Precision you're not going to find someone else's work you're not

[30:36]going to find something that you have done everything that you did

[30:42]you will be able to see it this means that nothing will

[30:45]be skipped Every Good Deed you will see every bad deed you

[30:49]will see there is exact precision and Allah says in the Quran

[31:01]you do an Adam's weight of good you will see it you

[31:05]do an Adam's weight of evil you will also see it this

[31:10]is why we have to be very careful and make sure that

[31:13]our Good Deeds are above our bad Deeds that's all try to

[31:20]meet Allah subhah wa ta'ala with having more Good Deeds than bad

[31:25]Deeds because Allah says in another verse [Music] means his head meaning

[31:46]from his face he will fall on the ground not his mother

[31:51]means his head so this is precision meaning everything everything is with

[32:05]EXA exact Precision with exact calculation this is how Allah subhah wa

[32:10]taala holds people accountable now when it comes to Precision this means

[32:14]that Allah will judge people based on my relationship with God in

[32:21]AI it says there are three types of Oppression one type of

[32:26]Oppression is when I oppress myself I'm hurting myself another type of

[32:30]Oppression is when I'm oppressing God these two Allah subhana tala will

[32:35]forgive me for if my sins were not too big but then

[32:40]there's another one that Allah can't forgive me for that is me

[32:46]if I oppress someone else here there's also going to be exact

[32:49]Precision in that on the day of judgment everyone that I oppressed

[32:52]is going to come in front of me okay you did this

[32:56]to this person you spoke bad about this person you did you

[32:58]hurt this person you took a dollar from you took one cent

[33:02]from this person wrongfully all of that we will be held accountable

[33:09]for this is why you find some good people with their with

[33:17]God their account is very good they pray they might pray Sal

[33:20]they might go to ha they might if they might do a

[33:25]lot but with people they have problems with people they approach trust

[33:29]them they speak bad they do they backbite this person is going

[33:33]to have a very difficult time on the day of judgment some

[33:36]people they can't be trusted with a couple dollars some people they

[33:41]cannot be honest this is why the Hadith of the IM he

[33:50]says don't look at the Salah and the and the and their

[33:55]midnight prayer going up and down but look at how honest this

[34:06]person is and how trustworthy this person is if I'm not honest

[34:09]if I'm not trustworthy then that means myab is going to be

[34:12]difficult on the day of judgment so this is something that we

[34:18]have to be very careful for there's going to be Precision when

[34:23]it comes to these matters and another very important matter is that

[34:27]while there is Justice while we believe God is AD God is

[34:32]just the overwhelming um God is God is very just however the

[34:39]overwhelming theme on the day of judgment will be Mercy Allah's Mercy

[34:45]will stand out on the day of judgment the Hadith says that

[34:48]God when he created Mercy Allah divided it into 99 parts or

[34:55]100 Parts one part is in this dun all of the mercy

[35:00]that you see the mercy of a mother towards her children the

[35:02]mercy that you see all of that that's from 1% of the

[35:07]mercy of Allah subhah wa ta'ala 99% of the mercy is allocated

[35:13]and dedicated for and that is the day of that is the

[35:18]day of Mercy where Allah subhanahu waala will show his Mercy to

[35:25]everyone and everyone will be astonished by the mercy of God well

[35:29]where the Hadith says even even Shan is going to have hope

[35:34]that the go God's Mercy is going to Encompass him as well

[35:43]my Mercy encompasses everything so what are some ways that the mercy

[35:48]of God will be manifested on the day of judgment one way

[35:51]is a good deed is worth 10 times while a bad deed

[35:56]is just worth once this is one way of Allah subhana wa

[36:02]ta'a giving people extra reward and extra credit imagine you do a

[36:06]good deed Allah gives you 10 times that reward and you do

[36:10]a bad deed you only see it once Allah says in the

[36:23]Quran if you do what good deed you will see 10 times

[36:27]of that you gave $1 you see you gave $10 on the

[36:32]day of judgment and if you do something bad you only see

[36:36]it once this is one another is that the Believers a m

[36:43]will not enter into the Hellfire now does this mean that a

[36:50]mmin who did wrong they're not going to face the consequences of

[36:53]their actions no they will face people face consequences of their actions

[36:57]sometimes Allah sub wa tala will cleanse a m in this D

[37:02]you see the M they're tested there's Wars there's suffering there's poverty

[37:05]there's diseases sometimes Allah subhah wa tala will clean this person in

[37:12]their in their grave the Hadith of the Prophet says even the

[37:20]Allah will purify this person in the grave but on the day

[37:26]of judgment Jenna is made for the Believers and and in another

[37:30]Hadith from he says even if you had an a mustard the

[37:39]the size of a mustard seed of IM in your heart faith

[37:43]in your heart you enter into Paradise look at God's mercy how

[37:51]Allah's Mercy is so great so in a Hadith from IM he

[37:55]says God has done a vow by his own Glory Allah will

[38:07]not torture those who who have and believe in the Oneness of

[38:11]God Allah will not throw this person and the Hellfire in in

[38:21]another Allah made the the the skin and the Flesh and the

[38:28]bones of the MU of the monotheist Haram upon the Hell Fire

[38:31]meaning the fire will not burn a Believer so someone might come

[38:37]and say then then where's God's justice no imagine you had to

[38:41]wait 50,000 years until you enter into Paradise imagine you you have

[38:46]to go through many difficulties we can't afford that he says how

[38:50]would you be able to stand how would you be able to

[38:55]deal with 50,000 years you're waiting on the day of judgment and

[38:57]you feel the torment and the pain yeah not entered into the

[39:00]Hellfire but it's still not anything Pleasant and another says by the

[39:13]one who sent me as one who gives Glad Tidings and good

[39:20]news Allah will not throw a in the Hell Fire IM when

[39:26]he was asked will a m be thrown in the Hellfire he

[39:30]says so here we see that some narrations they say that this

[39:38]person will not be placed in the Hellfire other narrations also tell

[39:41]us this is another dimension of the mercy even some of those

[39:47]people who are taken to the Hellfire now for some reason maybe

[39:49]because they did something they were taken to the Hellfire not everyone

[39:53]remains in the Hellfire some people will be in there not some

[39:58]people will be there and then they will be taken out but

[40:02]whoever enters into Paradise they're not taken out of paradise you stay

[40:06]in Paradise but some people in the Hellfire they will go in

[40:08]and they will be taken out in aith from he says the

[40:14]last person to enter Jenna imagine having waited thousands of years the

[40:21]last person to enter Paradise there will be people who will be

[40:26]the first to enter Jenna I read a today tells you will

[40:30]be the first to enter J tells him how when you are

[40:40]tells him you are the one who carries my flag just like

[40:44]in this dun you carry my flag when we are Marching In

[40:48]a place you enter first the one who's carrying the flag enters

[40:51]first and on the day of judgment you will enter and I

[40:56]will be happy when I see the ones who I love enter

[40:58]ahead so there will be a group of people who will be

[41:04]the first to enter paradise and there will be people who will

[41:07]be the last to enter Paradise one Hadith says the last prophet

[41:12]to enter Paradise will be Prophet suan because he will lived a

[41:20]comfortable life he lived a very comfortable life he had all of

[41:21]the M he had all of the Power he will be the

[41:24]last prophet that doesn't mean that's not a bad thing there's only

[41:26]124,000 prophets so he will be from those who enter Paradise so

[41:34]but the last person who enters the Hellfire the Hadith says after

[41:40]many years this person is not comfortable now either this person is

[41:43]in the Hellfire or this person is in between there will be

[41:49]people in Allah talks about them they are not here not here

[41:51]and they're they're and they're not happy because they they want to

[41:56]go to paradise and they're telling them you're on wait you're on

[41:59]you're on you're on the waiting list how many of you like

[42:01]being on the waiting list we hate being on the waiting list

[42:06]these people they are on the waiting list after everyone has entered

[42:09]they tell him yal go Allah tells him Enter he goes and

[42:15]he sees Jenna looks crowded so he comes back to Allah he
