[3:43]universe laws when they want to build a building for example you

[16:27]can choose to pray or not to pray that's your choice you

[16:30]can choose to fast or not to fast that's your choice no

[16:34]one's forcing you you can choose to come to the monster night

[16:37]and earn the table and earn the edge of and the reward

[16:42]maybe get entertained a little bit and laugh but that's your choice

[16:45]no one forced you to do any of that stuff so when

[16:49]it comes to anybody worship Allah gives you free will and that's

[16:54]why on the day of judgment he will hold you accountable because

[16:58]you have your choice if you pray he'll reward you if you

[17:04]don't well he may punish you why are you all up unto

[17:06]me because I gave you a choice you chose not to pray

[17:11]that's your choice you choose to wear the hijab Allah doesn't force

[17:16]you you wear it he will reward you you don't there will

[17:20]be a consequence that's your choice you choose to eat halal food

[17:24]that's your choice you choose to do so he'll reward you you

[17:29]don't there'll be consequences that's your choice you choose to respect your

[17:35]parents if you do so God will reward you if you choose

[17:40]not to well there will be consequences let's choice no one's forcing

[17:46]you so when it comes to the matter of legislation that's free

[17:50]it's free - free well however when it comes to the matter

[17:54]of creation how Allah created the system the universe that we have

[18:03]no control over we have no control a lot of Hannah wata'ala

[18:06]designed the human being the digestive system in such a manner that

[18:12]once you swallow the food you know things start to happen and

[18:15]you don't have control over it that's the way Allah designed the

[18:18]system of course I'm not talking about intervention with medication with some

[18:24]other we're talking about the natural system okay that's a natural system

[18:28]your birth that you have no control over your siblings you have

[18:36]no control over you don't choose that so when it comes to

[18:40]matters of creation you don't choose when it comes to a matter

[18:43]of religion you choose legislation we call it legislation the legislation the

[18:50]law you choose to follow the law so if you do so

[18:55]you'll be rewarded if you don't you'll be punished that's what Imam

[19:04]Sadiq alehissalaam says there is no complete predestiny no is it comes

[19:09]lately free will but it's a matter between two matters it's half

[19:17]and half when it comes to legislation free will you choose when

[19:21]it comes to creation no you have no free will Allah subhana

[19:25]Allah has already designed the system that's it you have no control

[19:29]over it okay so it's a matter between two matters okay okay

[19:32]so that's good so we're good so far we understand that part

[19:38]all right now when someone does not follow the law someone does

[19:42]not follow the law does not follow the legislation can we force

[19:46]people to follow the law that's it that's actually a big debate

[19:56]among Muslim scholars can you force people to follow the law and

[19:59]the answer is no we don't force people the prophet sallallahu alayhi

[20:04]wa NE one to pray he never forced anyone to fast the

[20:08]prophet sallallaahu wa ala if you remember a few nights ago i

[20:12]said all his battles were in defense he never initiated war against

[20:16]anyone his battles were all in defense he was attacked or he

[20:19]wrote a peace treaty with a group of people and they violated

[20:23]the terms of the peace treaty so then he had to defend

[20:25]these were all the battles of the prophet sallallaahu and all of

[20:31]them are like this and the Quran also says so Allah subhana

[20:34]Allah says do you guys know an iron called ayatul kursi do

[20:40]you guys know I still could see you have it memorized well

[20:42]if you don't it's a good idea to memorize maybe that will

[20:47]be something that you want to practice from now till the end

[20:49]of the holy month of Ramadan you have a week that should

[20:52]be enough time for you to memorize ayatul kursi it's about one

[20:55]ayah but there are two additional ayahs and verses behind it as

[20:58]well so it's three in total so these three I add in

[21:04]stroget al baqarah sin found in soy butter 256 up to 258

[21:07]in soil but that's a good I a good good verses to

[21:09]memorize it is said in the hadith if you recite ayatul kursi

[21:14]once Allah will protect you in sha Allah will designate an angel

[21:17]to protect you if you recited it twice Allah will designate two

[21:20]angels to protect you if you recited three times consecutively allowing designate

[21:26]three angels to protect you four times four angels five times however

[21:32]allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala will tell the angels step aside I will protect

[21:36]him myself so five times reciting ayatul kursi consecutively will get you

[21:42]the protection of allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala alright and ayatul kursi those of

[21:49]you who have it memorized after we finished the first ayah the

[21:51]second ayah what does it begin la ilaha 15 there is no

[22:00]compulsion in religion you don't force people so people then ask they

[22:04]say well what about the verses in the Quran were says we

[22:06]have to fight against the buh-burn unbelievers we have to fight the

[22:11]none aggressors the aggressors sorry we have to fight the tyrants then

[22:15]unbelievers the coup fog the infidels bla bla bla what about those

[22:18]verses I actually gave a lecture it was about a week and

[22:29]Islam or violence in the Quran and the nutshell I will just

[26:48]the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa ala always respected religions respected the freedom

[26:52]of religion freedom of speech freedom of expression as long as it

[26:59]does not harm other people which is what the law says what

[27:01]the law says today in the United States for example in many

[27:04]democracies in the world you have a freedom of speech but you're

[27:10]not allowed to have hate speech that's not allowed you can say

[27:13]well wait a minute is freedom of speech say yes as long

[27:17]as it doesn't harm others unless I guess it's against Muslims these

[27:20]days you can say whatever you want but besides that then usually

[27:24]you cannot say any hate speech so hate speech is not tolerated

[27:32]same thing in Islam you have the freedom to express yourself and

[27:35]your opinions as long as you do not harm others once you

[27:38]harm others however then you have to be stopped because people's rights

[27:45]need to be defended let me tell you something brothers and sisters

[27:49]when imam ali ali salaam became the Haditha he became the head

[27:53]of the state he led three major Wars the first war called

[28:00]the Battle of the camel against some of the Companions of the

[28:02]Prophet who led the war against him he had he did not

[28:06]lead them he defended these words by the way awards were led

[28:10]against him you know so some of the companions along with one

[28:12]of the wives of the Prophet peace be upon him and his

[28:16]family they arose and they fought against him that was called the

[28:18]Battle of the camel then where are we abuse of yon let

[28:21]another battle against Imam Ali called the Battle of Siffin as a

[28:25]consequence of the Battle of Siffin a group of Muslims split from

[28:30]Imam at his camp and they became known as the Hajj Heights

[28:33]the college people who left the religion they came out of the

[28:36]religion although those people used to pray they used to fast the

[28:42]month of Ramadan they used to recite the Quran but they became

[28:46]such people who did not understand the Quran they thought that we

[28:51]have to kill anyone and everyone who is not in agreement with

[28:59]our ideology just like what we see today with some of the

[29:01]Muslims some of the Muslims today yes they say we are Muslims

[29:08]they read the Quran they pray they fast correct but the problem

[29:11]is they do not understand the spirit of Islam the spirit of

[29:15]the Quran and you find them going and killing other Muslims in

[29:20]the mosque in the masajid and they're not only killing she I

[29:26]know she are Sunnis everybody because to them it's like what they

[29:28]call my way or the highway if you're not with us then

[29:31]you're our enemy you're against us those College Heights those nun Muslims

[29:40]basically although there were Muslims they started to insult imam ali the

[30:50]talking bad-mouthing the government imam ali ali salaam so they came free

[30:56]creating problems yet they're just having circles our meetings and they're still

[31:04]amongst us we will still continue to help them support them but

[31:10]it's up to them to do whatever they want imam ali ali

[31:12]sallam told that group he said listen you guys don't have to

[31:16]have to agree with me if you don't want to wish to

[31:17]agree with me you don't have to however i'll draw the line

[31:22]for you guys have a freedom of expression no problem freedom of

[31:29]speech no problem but where's the line huh you cannot harm others

[31:34]the minute you harm anyone else that means war because then we

[31:43]have to defend and true imam ali let them say whatever they

[31:47]want do whatever they want until one day this group they went

[31:57]to a city in iraq called Basra they arrested a mom Allie's

[32:02]governor of Basra he had a governor they arrested him they killed

[32:07]him then they took his wife who was pregnant they killed the

[32:14]wife and then they killed the baby after killing them all I

[36:46]need to speak for their rights as Muslims we need to defend

[36:51]people's rights we have to stand up for people's justice we can't
