[0:22]Saychech.
[0:29]Oh, no.
[0:53][Applause] Abdillahan.
[0:58]Amen.
[1:31]00.
[1:57]Amen.
[2:08][Music] Alhamdulillah.
[2:28]Alhamdulillah.
[2:47]I'm about [Music] Allah.
[3:13]A second salawat in honor of the holy prophet and his blessed
[3:19]progeny Allah.
[3:24]And the third with your loudest of voices for the hastening of
[3:30]the reappearance of the imam of our time.
[3:37]Dear brothers and sisters, salam allaykum.
[3:43]One of the special positions that we have been given as the
[3:51]lovers of Allah.
[3:52]We have many narrations that talk about the lovers of that talk
[3:58]about the inshallah we want to look towards that tonight and re-evaluate
[4:04]our position as the Shia.
[4:05]What does it mean for me to be a Shia?
[4:08]Because today we live in a world where a lot of people
[4:14]will question it.
[4:13]A lot of people will try to attack it.
[4:16]And we live at a time where everyone feels comfortable saying whatever
[4:23]they wish.
[4:23]Whether it be misinformation, whether it be accurate, people don't care anymore.
[4:29]As a result of people not caring, we see many people lie
[4:35]about or they lie about us as the Shia as lovers of.
[4:39]So we want to look into that and try to understand it
[4:43]a bit better.
[4:44]What does it mean to be a true lover and what does
[4:49]it entail?
[4:51]How should my actions reflect that love of Ali?
[4:54]So inshallah let's look into that tonight with your loudest of salawat.
[5:02][Music] Out of all of the companions of the holy prophets, there
[5:09]were only four who were considered the true Shia of Imam.
[5:15]When you look into it, us as Shia, it's really important to
[5:21]note many people they might slander us and say that we have
[5:24]no love for any of the companions.
[5:26]On the contrary, we do have love for the companions, but not
[5:32]based on this misunderstanding of who they are.
[5:35]If they were true lovers of the holy prophet and they were
[5:40]true lovers of the then why should I not love them?
[5:47]Who are these people?
[5:46]These people are this was a lover of mdad.
[5:51]This was a lover of Imam Salman als for example are true
[6:04]lovers of the Bates.
[6:04]How did we choose them?
[6:07]Did we just randomly as they say pick a name out of
[6:09]the hat and we decided you know okay we're going to be
[6:12]we're going to like this Sah we're not going to like that
[6:13]Sahara.
[6:14]So I want to look into that tonight.
[6:16]How can we be like those people?
[6:18]How can we be like Abu Dhaba?
[6:20]How can we be like Salman?
[6:23]How can we be like Mdad?
[6:24]How can we be like these followers of the Bates?
[6:28]They were known as true Shia to Ali during a time where
[6:31]it was not popular.
[6:33]It was not a stance to hold.
[6:34]For being a Shia during that time was very different.
[6:38]It means to have aligned yourself and against those who were going
[6:42]to oppress them and it doesn't exist in our books.
[6:45]I want to give you two important books that show you about
[6:49]the love of Imam.
[6:49]One of them is from Hajnah was one of the scholars who's
[6:58]very famous within the Sunni circles and he's one of those scholars
[7:01]that had existed during that time and he wrote a very famous
[7:04]book.
[7:05]He he wrote this book and in this book it's called you
[7:11]can get you can find it today if you try to research
[7:14]it you'll find there is a narration that exists within this book.
[7:18]What does it say?
[7:40]Ali Allah has forgiven you.
[7:46]Allah has forgiven your family, your sh and the lovers of your
[7:50]this exists in one of the books.
[7:53]Now let's look towards another book.
[7:59]We have Suyuti.
[7:57]Now Suyuti is a very famous Sunni scholar that existed 500 years
[8:02]ago.
[8:03]He lived during that time and he was a very famous uh
[8:07]scholar.
[8:08]He was within those circles and he was very very respected within
[8:14]those circles.
[8:14]There is a tap that he does about this specific verse.
[8:19]He says in this verse that I recite at the beginning, he
[8:29]says those who do who believe and then they act based on
[8:33]that belief, they do great, they are the best of creation.
[8:39]So those who believe those who people who believe and they do
[8:46]good they are what they are the best of creations.
[8:54]What is the for this whenas?
[8:55]He received this he received this verse from Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
[9:00]What did he say during that time?
[9:02]Let's look at this hadith.
[9:03]He he points towards Ali.
[9:03]He says what this is about you and your this is about
[9:11]you and those who follow you.
[9:12]So we're not talking about our own books here.
[9:16]We're talking about the books of our brothers and as a result
[9:21]we can understand that it's not something that we've created.
[9:24]This love for it's something that has existed and there's always been
[9:31]that position of those who are Ali.
[9:34]So we need to try to emulate ourselves to bear to be
[9:40]but being a follower is what sometimes we see that for example
[9:47]I have a on my neck sometimes I will tattoo a name
[9:53]or a hadith of one of the on my arm are these
[9:55]ways that we can show ourselves as sh is that enough for
[10:01]us of course it's obvious the answer is no we can understand
[10:04]that there are those who call themselves Shia.
[10:08]We can understand that that is something that resembles someone who is
[10:12]a Shia but it's not the fact that we just have symbols
[10:17]on us to show that it has to be through our actions.
[10:23]We have to show it because just the fact that we ourselves
[10:26]we say that we're Shia it's not very easy to do so.
[10:32]There's a very famous narration you know from the holy prophet.
[10:36]He says to Amar, he says what?
[10:43]He says, "If you see Ali," he takes a valley.
[10:46]And then you see that every single other person is going to
[10:52]another valley.
[10:51]They're going to a different.
[10:56]He says, "What?
[10:55]Follow the valley of for this will never lead you to destruction,
[11:02]nor does it take you out of guidance." No matter what it
[11:05]is, when we know this person is hi and why would I
[11:10]go wrong when I follow the path of Im Ali?
[11:13]Why would I go wrong?
[11:16]Why would I be taken in a misguided direction if I follow
[11:20]Imam when the holy prophet says in that manner?
[11:25]But that's not the only hadith.
[11:26]As it continues, he says what he said continues and he says
[11:32]pay attention to this point.
[11:33]We're all lovers of Ali and we've also followed this.
[11:37]But pay attention to this point.
[11:39]He says what?
[11:38]He continues, "Whoever gears a sword and he helps Im Ali against
[11:45]his enemies, Allah will adorn him with two sashes of pearls on
[11:48]the day of judgment.
[11:51]And whoever supports the enemies of Ali, Allah will adorn him with
[11:56]two sashes of fire on the day of judgment.
[12:05]It's important we pay attention to this important point here.
[12:10]My actions have to reflect my character.
[12:14]When I say that I am a lover of someone, it has
[12:20]to be reflected on my action.
[12:23]You can't just say you love someone and then your actions don't
[12:26]reflect that.
[12:27]Right?
[12:26]It's very simple.
[12:28]You say he is my friend and then whenever you see you
[12:30]don't act friendly towards him.
[12:35]It's quite obvious that we have to try to follow that in
[12:38]our actions.
[12:40]So when we say that we look at one of the verses
[12:45]of the holy prophet of the Quran what does he say?
[12:46]The holy prophet he's done so much for the members of his
[12:51]community.
[12:50]He's done so much to spread the religion of Islam.
[12:53]They say how can we give back to you oh holy prophets.
[12:57]How can we give you for so much that you've given us?
[13:01]He says Allah subhana wa ta'ala brings this verse down.
[13:03]He says, he says, "Say, oh prophet, I don't ask from you
[13:16]anything except what?
[13:15]The love for my progeny, the love for those who are near
[13:21]to me." It's that love that is not just hope.
[13:24]He doesn't say He says ma, pay close attention to this point.
[13:29]Ma is a love that is also carried with action.
[13:35]Ma is for you to show that love in the best of
[13:40]ways.
[13:41]So when we love our we don't go against the actions of
[13:48]our says to do this.
[13:49]We don't do something else.
[13:51]Whenam they tell us to avoid this.
[13:57]We avoid it.
[13:56]This is this is not this is hope is different.
[14:00]Hope is just to say I love you with your tongue.
[14:04]Right?
[14:05]We looked at that narration at the beginning that people they will
[14:08]have religion on their tongues as a sort of lip service.
[14:13]But when it comes to their actions there are very few who
[14:15]can consider themselves Muslim.
[14:17]So it's important that we pay attention to that point because at
[14:23]the end of the day what is it this is what he
[14:40]says verily my is like Noah's ark he who gets onto it
[14:48]he will survive but he who does not accept this this salvation
[14:52]he does not accept this safina he will drown so we have
[14:59]to pay close attention that when we love Allah we discussed this
[15:03]previously about loving Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and understanding his mercy that
[15:08]love of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala means this for us to love
[15:11]those that he loves now I'm going to point to to a
[15:16]very important narration from Imam.
[15:18]This is called what does it mean?
[15:23]A chain that exists during that time.
[15:25]They had chains where of narration.
[15:26]For example, I would say I had heard from him who heard
[15:31]from him who heard from him.
[15:32]And then we go back to find that narration goes back to
[15:37]the prophets, right?
[15:36]This was called.
[15:39]So when we give a narration, we people would say that I
[15:42]heard from so and so.
[15:43]But this narration is what?
[15:46]It's the golden narration.
[15:47]There's no other narration that is connected in this manner.
[15:51]In what manner?
[15:54]Let me tell you.
[15:54]Alam says Hussein.
[16:11]He said, "I heard him say." He says, "What we're going back
[16:23]from immasoolah says what?" He does not say it.
[16:41]He says this.
[16:43]What?
[16:52]He says the statement is my fortress.
[16:58]Whoever enters into this fortress ofahillah is going to be safe from
[17:05]fire.
[17:06]But then what?
[17:04]He stops and then he says one more sentence.
[17:10]He says, with its conditions.
[17:13]What is he saying?
[17:17]How beautiful is it?
[17:21]He says that you say it's not very simple to just say
[17:25]it.
[17:25]But it has its conditions I am.
[17:31]One of those conditions of one of those conditions to be a
[17:38]true to follow them means to then follow that to enter that
[17:42]fortress of Allah.
[17:45]So we can understand that our actions it has to portray that
[17:49]when I say I'm following our imams my actions should portray following
[17:53]that imam.
[17:55]So as a result when we we respond to others when we
[18:02]act our acts should be according to in line of the character
[18:07]of when we look at the lives of the we see that
[18:10]they have a state of what is clemency a state in which
[18:18]they would never respond to anyone in a bad manner.
[18:20]People would disrespect the people would say very rude things to the
[18:25]just as they did to the holy prophet but they would never
[18:29]respond in such a manner.
[18:30]So we need to take that action and apply it onto ourselves.
[18:35]Imam he says for our he says what to our he says
[18:50]what our followers should be they should be beautifying us they should
[19:00]not disgrace us when you are out when you go anywhere >>
[19:06]and You're representing the represent with them the best of characters.
[19:12]When you're representing the amplify and make your character like a mirror,
[19:20]let's ask everyone to just come forward with your >> There are
[19:29]a few others who are joining us.
[19:30]So, we just want to make space for them.
[19:32]>> If you're going to take anything from this discussion today, this
[19:40]lecture today, it's what?
[19:43]Don't disgrace the B with your action.
[19:46]We see sometimes people they'll say they're the lovers of B and
[19:52]then they'll do something that embarrasses our school.
[19:54]There are many who do so.
[19:58]Their actions cause people to move away from that.
[20:02]their actions cause people to move away from Islam.
[20:06]Is that the kind of character that we should have?
[20:10]Of course not.
[20:12]With every single charact with every single characteristics that we show, it
[20:16]should always be the best sort of characteristic, right?
[20:18]When we hear a lot of people they become Muslim for example
[20:22]or they become Shia for example.
[20:25]Why is it so?
[20:28]It's often when you hear their story they say I had a
[20:33]friend I had a coworker I had someone who was Muslim and
[20:36]when I saw his characteristic I asked him about it more it's
[20:42]not for example that they would have told him certain things that
[20:47]would have changed his characteristics they would have seen that that Muslim
[20:52]that person who is a lover of Allah his character was amazing
[20:55]so then he asks What is it that makes his character so?
[20:58]Why is he acting in that manner?
[21:02]And then they delve into it deeper.
[21:04]Then it's as a result of that person's actions that someone who
[21:08]is non-Muslim will search Islam.
[21:09]Let our characteristics be the best of characteristics.
[21:13]Let us show ourselves in the best of manners to be able
[21:21]to amplify that image to adorn the to make their character beautiful
[21:25]as well.
[21:24]That's what it means when we say so now it's important to
[21:32]ask a question here.
[21:32]How do we respond to those who will slander us?
[21:37]Many times when you go online you'll find that there are it's
[21:42]it's happened a lot especially there's there been this push more recently
[21:47]for those who will for example slander the names of the Shia.
[21:52]So how should we act towards that?
[21:57]When I go on for example Twitter or X now they call
[21:59]it or when I go on Instagram and then I see in
[22:02]the comments that people will say certain things what is it that
[22:05]I need to do?
[22:08]Well first of all if someone is willing to listen we build
[22:10]dialogue.
[22:12]So when I discuss tonight and I'm discussing about this understanding who
[22:17]we are as Shia it's not to divide ourselves.
[22:21]We will never divide ourselves as one Muslim.
[22:24]We love our brothers and right and we show that in our
[22:30]characteristics like we said and if someone is interested to know more
[22:34]we build dialogue.
[22:35]It's through that dialogue that we can connect they understand our beliefs
[22:41]and we understand their beliefs.
[22:42]But that doesn't happen often.
[22:46]often time what what oftentimes what happens those who are on the
[22:50]internet they go ahead and they'll type whatever they want right and
[22:54]as a result they'll never listen to you and it's it's uh
[22:57]it's their goal to for example to just spread whatever ideology they
[23:03]have when it you see that someone his goal is not to
[23:06]understand his goal is not to listen to you and understand your
[23:11]points what does the Quran say not from me from Allah subhanaa
[23:18]Then those true servants when they walk on the earth truly humble
[23:28]pay close attention to this point.
[23:34]When our people, our servants, our humble servants, they walk on this
[23:40]earth and they speak to aah and the jah they address them
[23:44]foolishly, improperly.
[23:46]What do they say?
[23:47]Say salam to them.
[23:51]That's enough.
[23:51]We don't need to get continue this continue this thread and continue
[23:56]to you know you say something about him and then he'll slander
[23:59]you and you try to talk to him.
[24:01]One of the no one of the things you guys want need
[24:04]to pay a close attention to everyone needs to pay close attention
[24:10]to is this no one will ever go will leave a debate
[24:12]a Twitter debate where they are for example slandering each other and
[24:17]say what you know what that was a good discussion I'm going
[24:21]to go home now and I I think I understood my opponent's
[24:23]points and I accepted they were good points they're not it's not
[24:30]going to happen it's not a place to discuss.
[24:32]It's not worthy of us to bring ourselves down to do something
[24:39]like that.
[24:44]When anyone tries to do anything to you, when anyone tries to
[24:48]say something like that to you, just say salam to them because
[24:54]we don't want to leave resentment either in our hearts or within
[24:58]their hearts.
[24:59]Just leave it at that.
[25:00]just say salam and move on.
[25:01]And this is our way for us to show our character to
[25:06]just say that if you want to discuss I'm free to discuss.
[25:09]Let's discuss.
[25:10]But if you do not want to discuss, I'm not going to
[25:15]be here slandering you and you're not going to sit here and
[25:17]slander with me.
[25:19]Let's not waste our time and let's cut it here.
[25:20]So inshallah we should try to make sure that we can view
[25:26]that.
[25:27]Inshallah if you understand that [Music] And as a result, like we
[25:41]said, after all of this, our bottom line is what?
[25:46]Feel proud to be a Shia.
[25:47]Feel proud to hold that title of the lover of Mali Alisam
[25:51]wherever you go.
[25:53]If, as we said, I'm going to bring back our first point
[25:58]on identity.
[25:58]If you feel that you have to hide your beliefs to appease
[26:07]anyone, that's not someone worthy of appeasing.
[26:09]If you have to water down your beliefs, that person is not
[26:19]even worthy of being your friend.
[26:20]So what?
[26:21]So I can be his friend because I want to remove my
[26:25]own value.
[26:26]I want to water down what I believe in.
[26:29]Just so this person accepts accepts me.
[26:32]That person is not that person is not even worth respecting.
[26:37]If he doesn't respect you, don't respect him.
[26:41]It's as simple as that.
[26:43]Don't water down your belief.
[26:44]We are the lovers of theam.
[26:48]We are those who have stood up whenever there has been oppression.
[26:52]Our blood is a blood of ai.
[26:54]Our philosophy is a philosophy of ai.
[26:58]When we come here every month of and we sit in the
[27:04]malice of Abdah Hussein is to renew that to renew that philosophy
[27:08]within our hearts that no matter if anyone were to be oppressed
[27:15]it's my obligation to stand up for them like who like many
[27:21]of you might have heard of his name at first he was
[27:26]a slave and Iam he freed And from then on he became
[27:33]a date seller.
[27:31]So he became a date seller and he was a really close
[27:37]friend of Im Ali Alisam.
[27:37]He loved Im Ali.
[27:40]So every time that I ali would go somewhere to lecture he
[27:44]would be the first person who would be there to listen to
[27:48]him.
[27:48]So as a result of this bond and this kinship this love
[27:52]that they had he says to one day he says what will
[27:58]you do when an evil man is put in power by the
[27:59]mayy and he will call and ask you to do me from
[28:05]me he'll ask you to disassociate from me and then from that
[28:14]moment says what by Allah I shall never disass dissociate myself from
[28:19]you.
[28:19]Imam says in that case you will be killed and you will
[28:26]be hanged by a tree and he replies by Allah in that
[28:28]moment I shall be patient that is not much in the way
[28:34]of Allah subhana wa ta'ala later on after this he passes away
[28:39]and just before the ends the mo the event of we see
[28:44]in that time that is summoned because he still shows his love
[28:47]for no matter what And Zad calls him.
[28:51]He's the tyrant of Kufa and he's been put in power by
[28:56]Muay Zad.
[28:57]He tells Mamm he's tell he as because he is a lover
[29:01]I alam as the imam had predicted ordered to do what to
[29:08]do.
[29:08]He says speak evil from about him.
[29:10]I don't like the fact that you're in Kufa and you're talking
[29:13]great about Im Ali.
[29:16]You're talking about your love of Im Ali.
[29:19]So just as the IM predicted this was this happened in this
[29:23]moment he refused and instead he answered what he answered by praising
[29:29]Im Ali and then what he was then imprisoned was imprisoned because
[29:35]of that praising of Imam and after that when they noticed that
[29:39]prison imprisoning him doesn't work they took him and they tied him
[29:44]to a tree to let him starve and to stay there for
[29:46]days until he dies.
[29:48]So when he went onto that tree, anyone for example would get
[29:55]try to get down, they would say, you know, I disassociate myself
[29:58]from my belief.
[30:01]Just let me survive.
[30:01]He does what?
[30:04]In that moment, he keeps praising Im Ali.
[30:06]He's tied up to that tree and he keeps on talking about
[30:10]Imam's character.
[30:11]He praises him in the manner that they do what it's said
[30:18]in our narrations that zad tells one of his people to cut
[30:21]off his tongues.
[30:24]So he does not praise Imam Ali Alisam Allah we believe that
[30:30]today we are Shia and we there's been zul on us there
[30:36]was no zul like that time of imam during that time people
[30:40]would there would tell people to go on the pulpit and say
[30:45]Im Ali was not a Muslim the sh of Im Aliam They
[30:53]were oppressed in in a way that we not oppressed today.
[30:55]Today we have freedom.
[30:58]But during that time when we look at he was killed in
[31:02]that manner.
[31:04]His tongue was cut and he was killed.
[31:05]That was someone who stood by imi it the disinformation that existed
[31:13]during that time.
[31:15]I want to just put the side note because it just it
[31:19]came up.
[31:19]The this information during the time of Ma it was it reached
[31:25]such a point in which Imam Ali Alisam when he was killed
[31:32]in his salah and people in Sham heard about Imam Ali alam
[31:35]being killed in salah they said what I know Ali prays they
[31:40]said Im Ali does he even pray because of the amount of
[31:47]disinformation that existed because of Ma and the lack And they did
[31:50]on the pulpits.
[31:51]People when they heard that Imi was killed in prayer, they said,
[31:55]"But does Ali even pray?" We have to make sure that we
[32:01]understand that today with the misinformation that exists, not to be lost
[32:06]in that to always no matter what try to look towards.
[32:18]And this love for is not one-sided.
[32:22]The way we the way that I've made it seem it seems
[32:25]in a way that it's all that love that we give to
[32:30]our imams and that's it.
[32:30]We get our sal for loving our im.
[32:34]Listen to this from Imam.
[32:38]He says whatn he has one of this his companions and he
[32:47]speaks to him.
[32:50]This isn't they're having a great oper they're they're discussing they're having
[32:54]a great day and as their conversation ends they get ready to
[32:59]leave and then what he said a line that we always say
[33:03]right whenever you say goodbye to someone you'll say pray for me
[33:10]he smiled and he said back to him he said do you
[33:14]think I forget you in my prayers that you ask me not
[33:19]to forget you.
[33:18]Hassan paused and he was like and he thought to himself he
[33:23]says he prays for his Shia and I'm one of his Shia
[33:25]then of course he's going to pray for me.
[33:27]So he replied to the Imam and he said what?
[33:30]He said no I know you don't forget me.
[33:32]He asks him how do you know I don't forget you?
[33:36]How what makes you so sure that I don't forget you?
[33:40]And Hass he answers he says because I'm one of your SH
[33:42]and you always pray for your Shia the Imam then asks is
[33:47]that all?
[33:48]Is that the only reason that I pray to you oh Hassan?
[33:51]He says Hassan responds yep I think that I think so.
[33:56]That is all.
[33:57]That's the only reason that you pray.
[33:59]Im he said he gives us an important point for all of
[34:01]us to reflect.
[34:03]He says what he says to Hassan, if you want to know
[34:09]what you mean to me, look at what I mean to you.
[34:11]How often do you pray for me?
[34:15]Yah Hassan, know that I pray for you just as much.
[34:16]How often do you think of me?
[34:22]Know that I think of you just as much.
[34:22]How deeply do you care for me?
[34:26]Do you love me and do you follow for my path?
[34:27]Know that I care for you and that I love you and
[34:31]I look at you after you in an equal manner.
[34:34]If you know if you want to know what you mean to
[34:39]me, look into your own heart and see what I mean to
[34:45]you.
[34:41]How beautiful.
[34:43]Imam is telling us that this love isn't one-sided.
[34:49]No matter how much dua you make, how much love you give,
[34:54]how much effort you put towards your relationship with know that they
[34:59]love you all the same.
[34:59]Know that no matter what, as long as you give that amount
[35:04]of effort and love towards them, they love you just as much.
[35:07]So when you say, when you say salams to your im know
[35:12]that it is for them to say that salam back to you.
[35:15]And that's the important point that we need to understand that for
[35:22]us as it's not just having that belief that makes us sh
[35:27]it's that core of what philosophy of what never to disgrace us
[35:35]as we believe that no matter what that our hearts are the
[35:38]hearts of that no matter what if anyone is oppressed anywhere in
[35:44]the world no one else who stand up for him except for
[35:50]us.
[35:47]It is us who stands up because it is our history to
[35:52]stand up when we come here for our malice of Abdah Husseinam.
[35:58]It's that love that we have that brings us here.
[36:00]And it's that needing to renew our oath to Hussein that no
[36:06]matter if anyone were to be oppressed, if anyone were to be
[36:09]bullied, if anyone were to be hurt, it's my obligation as a
[36:16]lover of to stand up for him to stand up for anyone
[36:19]who requires justice.
[36:22]So we commemorate this justice when we come here on the day
[36:27]of judgment.
[36:28]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala he says what he'll call every nation with
[36:32]their im Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala he says in one of the
[36:36]verses of the Quran he says about he says he is going
[36:45]to lead his people towards the hellfire when on the day of
[36:51]judgment when you're asked by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala who is your
[36:53]imam you should be able to respond that my im is I
[37:00]also I have is our IM.
[37:05]It's important for us to stand up in that moment for us
[37:10]to be able to answer that.
[37:11]It's important for us to always no matter who is the tyrant
[37:13]of our time to understand it.
[37:17]Who is the Yazid of today?
[37:18]I should know who that is.
[37:19]Who is the Hussein of today?
[37:23]Who is it that is fighting for justice today?
[37:27]I should try to support that.
[37:29]And Musam he says what disgrace is far from us.
[37:31]Disgrace is nothing for us.
[37:36]It's completely away.
[37:36]So let's make sure that our actions inshallah are the actions of
[37:41]our imams.
[37:42]Inshallah if it is so reciteham.
[37:45][Music] With that said, there's one more lover of that and we're
[38:02]going to commemorate tonight when we recite.
[38:04]Who is that person?
[38:08]It's none other than Madhab Mad was a very close friend of
[38:16]Hussein.
[38:14]when they were very young would see that Imam Hussein was running
[38:21]and Habib would always run with him.
[38:26]So he called Habib towards him and he would put him on
[38:28]his lap and he would kiss him and he would hug him.
[38:31]Why so?
[38:32]The people asked why is it that you love Habib?
[38:36]Why do you love the son of Mad?
[38:39]He says what?
[38:38]He says when I see Imran Hussein Habib is always running after
[38:45]them.
[38:46]When Imam Hussein walks the dust on his feet, he will put
[38:49]it on his head.
[38:50]And I know that one day Habib will help Hussein when he
[38:56]is in need of that help.
[38:56]This is the story of the love of Habib for Abdah.
[39:03]This is the story of someone who remembers Im Hussein and who
[39:09]fought for him simply because his love towards him simply because he
[39:14]was a sh of him.
[39:14]He fought for Imam Hussein.
[39:18]So day by day we see that the scene in Kabala it
[39:21]changes more and more soldiers are now entering into Kobala and entering
[39:26]into the army's camp and there have been thousands that gather to
[39:34]kill and she says to her brother she says Hussein thousands of
[39:39]soldiers they're gathering to fight you we hardly have 72 men with
[39:42]us do not have anyone else who can help who will come
[39:46]here to help and then Hussein And he says, "What?
[39:50]My sister Zab, many wanted to join me during that journey when
[39:54]I went from Medina to Kufa.
[39:55]I politely discouraged them because their intention wasn't truthful.
[39:58]Many joined and they've run away during that journey because they're afraid
[40:02]of dying." And then he continues, "Falsehood gidden by many supporters, but
[40:09]truth has only few friends.
[40:12]The soldiers on the other side have been bought.
[40:14]They prefer the happiness of this world instead of that of the
[40:17]hereafter.
[40:18]But my 72 truthful men, they prefer happiness in the hereafter instead
[40:23]of that of this world.
[40:26]And that's why they are with me.
[40:29]And that nightm he writes a letter.
[40:31]He writes a letter to who?
[40:33]Habib mazah.
[40:35]Habib mazah was in Kufa during that time.
[40:38]And Kufa was blocked off.
[40:38]So they made it so that no one can leave Kufa.
[40:43]And it's during that time that he writes this letter towards him.
[40:46]And Hhabib wasn't even aware about where Hussein was until he received
[40:50]this letter.
[40:51]When this letter from Hussein arrives to his house, at that time
[40:55]he was having breakfast with his wife at his young son.
[41:00]He reads this letter after he reads it.
[41:02]He kisses it and tears are in his eyes and he kisses
[41:04]this letter.
[41:06]His wife asks him, "Yeah, what is this?
[41:09]Why?
[41:10]What's wrong?" Habib, he answers.
[41:11]He says, "I've received a letter from my master Hussein and he
[41:14]asked me to join him in Kabella.
[41:18]Yazid soldiers have surrounded him and they are after his life." And
[41:22]then Hhabib's wife, he says, "What?" He says, "Habib, your childhood friend
[41:26]has called you.
[41:26]Your master needs your help.
[41:29]What are you waiting for?
[41:30]Go Habib before it's too late." Cuz Habib at first he was
[41:33]worried.
[41:33]He says, "What am I supposed to do when leaving my child
[41:38]and my wife?" His wife says that if you do not leave,
[41:40]I myself will leave to go fight for him.
[41:43]So because of this, he's not worried any longer.
[41:46]He escapes from Kufa without being seen.
[41:49]And then he take instructs his slave to take his horse to
[41:53]a farm that's outside of the city.
[41:55]And he says, "Wait for him." So the slave does so.
[41:56]And then the slave, he took Habib's horse and he take he
[42:01]takes him to that farm.
[42:00]He waits for that master and his master is delayed.
[42:04]So then the slave, he says, "What?
[42:06]Oh horse, our mah Hussein is in trouble.
[42:10]He needs help and he's asked my master to join but is
[42:15]late.
[42:15]Oh horse, if he doesn't manage to escape Kufa, I'm going to
[42:19]ride you on you to go and help.
[42:22]So it's during time that most of the men they're in that
[42:26]and they're praying salah in a masid and he manages to reach
[42:28]that farm where his horse is waiting.
[42:32]He gets on his horse and he says to his slave.
[42:33]He says, "My friend, I'm freeing you from my service.
[42:38]Go and be free now.
[42:38]You can go ahead and leave." And then he says, "What?
[42:42]Master, you're not being fair." The slave says, "I've served you faithfully
[42:47]for so many years now.
[42:51]I have a chance to serve the son of Fat.
[42:54]Why are you taking this chance away from me?
[42:55]I want to go ahead.
[42:57]Are you denying me a place in heaven?" Habib was takenback by
[43:01]these boys by the slave and he was very happy to hear
[43:04]about this.
[43:05]So because of that they both got onto the horse.
[43:08]They mounted the horse and then they gallop towards Kvala.
[43:11]He reaches Kvala late in that evening and Hassan he's waiting for
[43:17]him and he and he greets him with great affection.
[43:20]She hears that Habib has come.
[43:23]She asks her made fiza to convey her meanings to Habib.
[43:25]When Habib heard that B Z has sent green ticks to him,
[43:30]he cries in grief and anger and he throws his turban and
[43:33]he puts sand onto his face.
[43:36]He slaps his face and tears are down his cheek.
[43:37]He says, "What a sad day.
[43:41]What has happened to the household of Fatima, the princess, the granddaughter
[43:44]of the holy prophet, the daughter of Ali and Fatima are sending
[43:49]their greetings toward an ordinary person like me.
[43:52]Yazid, you beast, you tyrant.
[43:56]What have you done to the household of Fatima?
[43:58]Days and nights they pass and Ash the day comes and at
[44:03]dawn he gives the adan and Yazid's army they blow the trumpets
[44:07]to begin the battle.
[44:10]And as we said we on the right side we had and
[44:15]on the left side the commander of the left wing of the
[44:17]army was mazah and the center was father abbas and then during
[44:23]that time we see that one by one hussein's companions they give
[44:28]their lives and they become martyrs.
[44:30]So Hussein Abbas and Ali Akbar they're busy from dawn to midday
[44:33]they go to collect the bodies and they bring them back from
[44:38]the battlefield.
[44:37]And it's during that time between and that he comes to Hussein.
[44:45]He says, "Oh my master Hussein, allow me to go onto that
[44:48]battlefield.
[44:49]Let me sacrifice my life for Islam." And he imus he says,
[44:54]"Habib, my childhood friend, stay with me.
[44:57]Give me comfort, my friend." But Habib, he persists with this request.
[45:01]And eventually, Im Hussein, he gives this permission.
[45:04]So, Habib, he mounts his horse and on top of this horse,
[45:08]he goes ahead and he rides into battle and he fights bravely,
[45:11]but he's finally he's overpowered and he falls to that ground.
[45:16]And in that moment, he falls onto the ground and he couldn't
[45:21]even breathe.
[45:23]And in that moment, he cried [Music] me.
[45:33]Come to me, oh my master, one more time.
[45:37]Imm Hussein, he comes and then he puts his head onto his
[45:43]lap.
[45:44]And in those last moments, his breathing his final breath.
[45:47]Im Hussein, he says, "Habi, what a friend you've been to me.
[45:54]I bear witness that you stayed up night and all night you've
[45:57]worshiped Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and you've prayed towards him.
[46:01]And it's in that time that when Im Hussein leaves the army
[46:06]they go ahead and they cut off his head during that time.
[46:08]And then during that time their heads they're all cut off.
[46:13]But Hhabib was the first to be cut off by the enemy.
[46:15]But during that time we can see that Habib's head he's not
[46:20]put on a spear.
[46:20]Our narration say that Habib's head it's put around the neck of
[46:26]a horse.
[46:25]And it's during that time that it's being pulled onto the streets
[46:29]of Sha.
[46:29]And later in Sham we see that during that time the army
[46:34]they're taking these heads in the streets of Sham and there is
[46:37]a son that's running and who is this?
[46:39]This is Kasim the son of Habibasim.
[46:42]Sheasim he goes towards this and he he takes his for source
[46:47]and he's following his father's head.
[46:49]And then we see during that time the man he asks what
[46:52]are you doing?
[46:54]Why are you following me around?
[46:54]Kasim says the man he stares at that head he asks again
[47:01]why are you staring at this head?
[47:03]He says this head is the head of my father.
[47:06][Music] Please give it to me.
[47:10]I want to bury my father's head.
[47:11]And it's in that moment, it's as if Hadib's head is talking
[47:16]to his son.
[47:16]He says, "What?" He says, "What?" Habib's head.
[47:20]He's It's as if he's saying to him, he says, "My son,
[47:24]you think of bearing my head, but what about the head of
[47:30]on those spears?
[47:34]Oh my son, you are my you are my war.
[47:38]It's because of you that you can bury my head.
[47:41]It's because of you that you will be able to bury my
[47:47]head.
[47:47]But there exists the world is Imam and to him there are
[47:52]18 heads on the spears of his family.
[47:56]What about their heads?
[47:56]And what about him as the Verily we are from Allah and
[48:19]surely to him we'll return Allah with these tears that we have
[48:29]in our eyes.
[48:26]Let's let's ask ya Allah 10 times.
