[0:08][Music] m [Music] [Music] Al [Music] Salam alikum brothers sisters and respected

[1:28]Scholars tonight is the 19th of Ramadan is referred to in the

[1:38]Quran as along with the 21st and 23rd of the month of

[1:45]of the month of Ramadan so we consider this and if those

[1:52]for those who did not know referred to thean is considered if

[1:58]I could remove the echo please that would be great not equal

[2:06]to a thousand months but it's considered greater than even those months

[2:11]so we don't even know to what extent is the greatest of

[2:16]this month of this specific night if we consider it even greater

[2:21]than a thousand month because Allah subhana wa tala says in this

[2:27]in this Surah this is the night in which Quran Allah subhana

[2:33]wa tala does not refer to it as the Quran we have

[2:42]revealed it in the night of decree Allah subhana wa tala is

[2:46]referring the Quran here and it's referring that this Quran which was

[2:50]revealed it was revealed none other to then the holy prophet muhamad

[3:01]in this night so it's a very valuable night for us a

[3:07]night in which we can consider ourselves reborn we can consider it

[3:13]as a new night for us maybe we've done many wrongs in

[3:16]the past maybe we've caused ourselves we've as we say maybe I

[3:26]have oppressed my own soul maybe in respect to the H of

[3:31]Allah wa taala I wasn't so good Allah subhana wa ta'ala tells

[3:36]you that of course in the month of Ramadan is the month

[3:38]of forgiveness and the month of Mercy but specifically in this night

[3:41]is the night in which the rest of your year can be

[3:46]decided you can ask for forgiveness in this night you can ask

[3:51]for Allah subhana wa tala's Connection in this night to feel closer

[3:55]to him specifically in this night so inshallah let's make use of

[4:01]this night inshallah and your our Dua when we recite to Allah

[4:08]subhana wa tala and we call him by his different names inshallah

[4:10]we can all ask to get closer to Allah and for him

[4:15]to forgive our sinful selves and for us to be closer with

[4:18]him inshallah with your loudest of salaat by the lord of the

[4:35]KA I am victorious a very famous saying of on this night

[4:45]when he was struck by on the night of the 19th when

[4:52]he when they woke up for the morning prayers for Sal when

[4:56]he was struck by this was a very famous saying by the

[5:00]lord of the I am successful so inah tonight we want to

[5:05]look at what exactly Amir ma himself had discussed when he said

[6:26]success and so how can we differentiate the meaning of these two

[6:33]how can we understand why MAA himself has considered to use the

[6:39]word f instead of right so we want to look at this

[6:42]important point and when we look at it deeper we understand that

[6:48]f is a spiritual type of success it's a success that exists

[6:54]specifically in the afterlife it's not a material success for example when

[7:00]a farmer he's able to grow crops he's able to have a

[7:04]great business he says I'm successful it's a material success this is

[7:10]this farmer is considered successful in a material sense but when M

[7:17]himself himself says by the lord of the I'm successful he's pointing

[7:23]towards what that towards Allah subhana wa ta'ala it's not the kingdom

[7:27]of this world that I have attained but the kingdom of the

[7:31]it is not the wealth that I gained within this world that

[7:36]made me successful but the wealth of the so it's this kind

[7:41]of success that we look at when we look at the life

[7:44]of now a question might arise when we say why did MAA

[7:50]himself say this specifically tonight could he not have said it in

[7:54]the previous times when he was victorious in battle when he was

[7:57]successful and he defeated the enemies could he not say then and

[8:04]for this we turn towards the Quran to look at what Allah

[8:10]subhana waala says and among the Believers are men who have proven

[8:19]true who have proven true to their pledge they made a with

[8:24]Allah subhana wa ta'ala and they were successful in that manner they

[8:28]were able to prove it true we see that Allah subhana wa

[8:42]taala says among those people who have made their pledge to Allah

[8:46]subhana wa T and they're able to prove it true some of

[8:51]them were able to prove their pledge with their lives who are

[8:55]we referring to those like Hamza the uncle of the Holy Prophets

[8:59]when he fought on that battlefield of he fought in that manner

[9:06]and he was able to prove his pledge to Allah subhana wa

[9:09]ta'ala that he would fight in Allah subhana wa tala's way and

[9:13]he would be martyred in Allah's way people like we see ja

[9:19]during the prophet's life they were able to prove themselves successful they

[9:24]fought and they were martyred during that time but the important Point

[9:32]here that we should look at is and some of those who

[9:37]are waiting for their turn and they have not and they have

[9:41]never changed in this of that they have with Allah subhana wa

[9:46]tala with this Covenant that they build with Allah subhana wa ta'ala

[9:51]with this relationship with Allah it never changes and this is that

[9:57]of he says if it is not now that he has has

[10:03]fulfilled his pledge it will be very [Music] soon and it is

[10:17]without without a doubt confirmed that himself would always wish to fulfill

[10:25]his pledge with Allah subhana wa ta'ala from the very first moments

[10:29]whenas Allah himself had had spread the message of Islam when he

[10:33]told everyone to join into Islam to come to this religion there

[10:38]were kids for example who were pelting stones at the prophet they

[10:43]would throw stones at the prophet and it was IM aliam who

[10:46]was just a young child at that time he was very young

[10:50]and it was then that he would stop them he would try

[10:54]to stop these kids from throwing stones or paves at the holy

[10:57]prophet and then on we see that of course the most important

[11:02]night in which I referred to at the beginning with this Surah

[11:06]with this specific [Music] Ayah and there are those who dedicate their

[11:16]whole lives for Allah subhana wa tala's pleasure and Allah is gracious

[11:23]to his servants this verse specifically has been referred to IM Ali

[11:29]himself on that night of Hijra when the people of kufa or

[11:36]rather the people of Mecca had plotted against the prophet they couldn't

[11:40]only have one person do it from specific tribe so what did

[11:45]they do they brought different different people from different tribes of Mecca

[11:51]so that when the people like uh when those of the prophets

[11:55]the specific group of the Banu Hashim they wouldn't be able to

[11:58]attack any group because of course it was one group one specific

[12:04]person from every single tribe of Mecca and it was during that

[12:06]time when they were about to assassinate the holy prophets who was

[12:11]it that was stayed in his bed during that time it was

[12:15]none other than ma himself it was him that had sold his

[12:20]soul or he or rather he kept his soul for Allah subhah

[12:25]wa ta'ala he dedicated his soul to Allah subhah wa ta'ala for

[12:28]him during that night so when we sayi was Victorious and he

[12:35]was wishing towards giving his life for Allah subh we referring to

[12:40]these times in bad the first battle of Islam it was who

[12:46]stood up there and fought for the Muslims he was one of

[12:49]those three who came forward at the beginning to fight it was

[12:54]maah who was ready to dedicate his soul to Allah subhana wa

[13:00]ta'ala in we see this being reflected again another when we refer

[13:05]to we refer to when stands and the holy prophet is bleeding

[13:15]hear that the holy prophet himself the rumors that the holy prophet

[13:42]he stood by the prophets and he gave his soul to Allah

[13:47]subhah wa taala in he stood by the prophet and he gave

[13:49]his soul to Allah subhah wa ta'ala in the Battle of gave

[13:56]a soul to Allah subhah waala when he stood up against ABD

[14:02]when he stood up there and he passed that trench and none

[14:07]of the Muslims were ready to battle against him he was a

[14:10]very huge man who else was it that IM Ali who then

[14:14]stood and was ready to battle against him and in the moments

[14:17]when he's able to defeat him andd is on the ground in

[14:25]those moment where he's on the ground and he spits on maa's

[14:29]face it is MAA himself who says who leaves the battle and

[14:35]enters back again and he says when he gives the strike the

[14:39]decisive when he's able to defeat him it's during that time where

[14:46]says this sword is the sword of Allah subhana wa ta'ala it

[14:49]is not the sword of my own desires it is I who

[14:54]fights for the way of Allah subhana wa ta'ala so we can

[14:59]see also Al this is a moment in another moment in we

[15:05]can see is in who is it that when the prophet says

[15:08]tomorrow I will give my banner to someone who loves Allah and

[15:16]Allah loves him who other than IM who stood up and lifted

[15:19]the doors of that was ma himself these are all moments my

[15:25]brothers and sisters in which IM aliam showed that he dedicated his

[15:29]life to Allah subhana wa ta'ala and when he says that I'm

[15:35]successful he means that he's successful in that mission to Allah subhana

[15:38]wa taala to dedicate his life for Allah subhah wa ta'ala so

[15:45]why say it now why say it in those moments before he's

[15:48]about to pass where he says pay very close attention to this

[15:52]point my brothers and sisters many people they're very they were very

[15:59]loyal comp Companions of the holy prophet many of us we see

[16:05]ourselves as true Shia of the IM of our time and we

[16:08]dedicate Our Lives to the IM but what's important here is what's

[16:13]the what is your end is your end of is it in

[16:20]a state where even there with people during the times of the

[16:23]Prophet IM aliam during our im's time they were very good up

[16:28]to the final point when Allah subhana wa ta'ala tested them and

[16:32]they failed that test and on the flip side we see those

[16:41]to take the imam's side so it's not all of your actions

[16:44]within this world during your lifetime that you need to pay attention

[16:51]to but what is it at the end that you're doing if

[16:53]you're still following the path of the prophet and his blessed family

[16:56]that's what we need to pay attention to and I'll give a

[17:03]very important example Zu who was a follower of IMI after the

[17:10]passing of the Prophet Zu along with others he came to the

[17:55]that the prophet once said to Zu he said that there's going

[18:00]to be a time where you're going to be on one side

[18:05]and is going to be on another side he said how is

[18:07]that possible how can I be against my M how can I

[18:11]be fighting against him as we see then the second Cal passes

[18:17]away and then the third Cal passes away and Zu is at

[18:23]the door of IM aliam he's saying y m I'm ready to

[18:28]give my allegiance to you very good so he was a follower

[18:32]of but later on we see during thei when im Ali is

[18:42]showing his when he is giving everyone their rightful dues and what

[18:46]they are what they deserve we see that Zu along with are

[18:52]against M they are fighting against him they follow with Aisha on

[18:58]the battle of jaml fighting against so it should show you that

[19:07]you can be the most truest follower of but if you don't

[19:11]have that if you don't have that ending which is that a

[19:17]great ending then you are nothing at the end of the day

[19:20]it's our ending that matters as much as our whole life and

[19:24]on the flip side we see the story of was the person

[19:33]who caused IM Hussein to be stranded inala he was the one

[19:40]who rejected IM Hussein on the doors of kufa and he told

[19:43]him you cannot enter I have been given orders that you cannot

[19:46]enter the city and even though he had such uh uh emnity

[19:53]or rather we should say he was against our Imam in those

[19:58]moments when he hear is that they're going to fight against IM

[20:01]Hussein he comes to the IM and he says to IM Hussein

[20:06]he says that I've done wrong forgive me then says you are

[20:14]you are free as your mother named you so we can see

[20:19]here that it does not matter as much as the end within

[20:21]our own lives and we never know when that end is so

[20:26]we need to make sure that we're true followers of Muhammad and

[20:33][Applause] [Music] so when he was struck on that night on this

[20:44]night of the 19th himself he says he says by the lord

[20:51]of the I am successful not successful in this world but successful

[20:57]in my for which better place do I pass away which better

[21:03]place do I get struck than in a holy place like M

[21:08]I'm Successful by the lord of the in which I was born

[21:13]in that place where I was born in such a holy place

[21:29]successful in that moment in which IM aliam is ready to give

[21:38]his life and this is a night in which himself was expecting

[21:44]to happen for had told him he prophesized of this event he

[21:48]told IM aliam that in one of these nights you will pass

[21:53]away and he knew this he knew that any night that this

[21:56]can happen and he told told lady kulum he says my dear

[22:03]daughter I will see I see that I will be be with

[22:09]you for a short time she says why is that he said

[22:10]I saw the prophet in my dream and he was removing the

[22:15]dust off my face and he was saying yah Ali there is

[22:20]nothing left for you to do you have fulfilled your responsibility and

[22:25]lady kulum said that it was three nights later that he would

[22:28]receive that strike and mu he says that on that night he

[22:34]was awake and he would look out of at the sky from

[22:41]his room and he said by Allah I was not told lies

[22:42]and I never told lies in it's in regards to the prophecy

[22:47]of his death so he's aware at that night in that morning

[22:50]he's going to be struck he says this is the night that

[22:55]I was promised so he walks back to his bed and when

[23:00]f arrives he puts his clothes on he puts his dress on

[23:04]and he starts walking towards the Masjid and he recites this poem

[23:13]fast in your belt for death for death will meet you and

[23:22]do not be frightened when death comes and the creation of Allah

[23:28]subhah wa ta'ala aware that it was to happen it was said

[23:31]that the birds when they were flying over the courts that they

[23:36]were weeping there was sounds of cries of those birds and the

[23:40]ladies and the Servants of were trying to remove them says let

[23:44]them be for they're crying because they're aware of what will happen

[23:48]and it assume that the men will cry as well and it's

[23:53]when he struck on his head that he falls from that strike

[23:56]when he says [Music] and he was struck on with the highest

[24:08]honor in the highest position in it was there in the most

[24:15]one of the holiest places and I'll read this and tonight to

[24:20]end off I'll read this fory poem inshallah for us to remember

[24:28]the Striking of Ali [Music] says tonight they're waiting for you y

[24:57]because who else was it that was giving these Yim food who

[25:01]was it that was feeding these Yim they were the ones who

[25:03]were stand who were waiting for them to be fed they were

[25:08]not aware that MAA himself had been struck on this night who

[25:11]is it that will feed them during this time they have hopes

[25:16]of eating dates and bread they cannot wait anymore for they wish

[25:24]to see that lovely person [Music] the nights of kuf remember the

[25:43]air the Earth they remember your they remember your duas and those

[25:48]people who are who are without a home they are the ones

[25:53]who remember and they sing they they hear you and they remember

[25:58]you Al joh and then it continues in those moments when he's

[26:03]ined when he is on his death bed that [Music] he says

[26:30]to he sees and he says here let me take your hand

[26:38]let you put it on the hand of IM Hussein and he

[26:42]says in those moments in car you are going to be needed

[26:47]by the people of Hussein and they will ask you to bring

[26:50]water oh my son please bring water to the army of IM

[26:56]Hussein you will help Z when she is full of grief when

[27:06]she is struck by grief and sadness says please my son before

[27:20]you drink any water remember IM Hussein do not drink before he

[27:26]does and he was during that time when he's about to pass

[27:32]who is it that's there and he can rest his lap his

[27:37]head on their laps of other than IM Hass IM Hussein andah

[27:41]on the day ofal who is it that will you put your

[27:48]head onah who is it that will you will hold you when

[27:50]you are about to pass when you are struck by 100 arrows

[27:55]who is it that will hold you Ya Allah we ask you

[28:12]on these nights of inshallah we ask you to make our and

[28:17]Ya Allah we ask you to raise us with the intercession of

[28:21]Ya Allah we ask you to bless us with the Z of

[28:26]Allah en able us to serve you and live a life of

[28:31]piety and Ya Allah we ask you to keep us and our

[28:36]children on the right path enable us Ya Allah to benefit from

[28:39]this Ya Allah please make our IM our IM please with us

[28:46]in our actions
