[0:10]Hussein mother.
[0:30]No, alhamdulillah.
[1:11]Mustham.
[1:30]Alhamdulillah.
[1:39]Alhamdulillah.
[1:58]I'm for a second salawat in honor of our holy prophets and
[2:38]his blessed progeny.
[2:45]And the third, with your loudest of voices, in honor of the
[2:51]hastening of the appearance of the Imam of our time, Dear brothers
[3:03]and sisters, there is no other school other than the school of
[3:12]Islam that promotes this idea of insan having a very high noble
[3:21]and value.
[3:20]The extent that Islam explains about the value of insan will truly
[3:27]make us understand what our capacity is.
[3:28]Can I please ask everyone to just come forward?
[3:30]I think we'll have other people to join us with your recitation
[3:34]of a salawat.
[3:41]For in the view of Islam, man has the highest of per
[3:48]positions.
[3:49]He has that opportunity, that capacity to reach the highest of highs,
[3:55]to reach that closeness to perfection as possible.
[3:57]We as insan once we truly understand the value of our position
[4:04]in the eyes of Allah and to what extent that we can
[4:06]truly reach we should try our hardest to reach that point.
[4:11]I know in the past few days we've understood our identity and
[4:15]soul and what makes us that identity but tonight I want to
[4:19]take that opportunity to delve a bit deeper in our understanding of
[4:23]perfection.
[4:24]We said the goal of man is to be happy.
[4:29]He finds that happiness through perfection.
[4:31]That perfection is with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
[4:33]So at the end of the day, whatever action he does, it's
[4:38]what every single action I do, it should be the sake of
[4:44]Allah.
[4:45]I want to make sure that with I my actions I can
[4:49]reach Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
[4:50]But tonight we want to look a bit deeper.
[4:52]We want to understand with every action what do these actions mean?
[4:57]What's the significance of these actions?
[4:59]And how am I supposed to be able to reach?
[5:03]How am I supposed to be able to reach perfection?
[5:05]And that can be only done when we try to reach our
[5:10]highest of potentials.
[5:10]That can only be done through.
[5:15]What is to understand ourselves to have self knowledge when I truly
[5:25]understand my when I truly understand my soul and I understand that
[5:29]I'm made up of two or three different sides mind body and
[5:34]soul when I'm able to incorporate all three elements and understand what
[5:38]my soul is I can only then reach that level of true
[5:44]spiritual perfection that I want to reach.
[5:45]And many of us we unfortunately don't.
[5:48]Allah subhana wa ta'ala says in a verse in verse 19 he
[5:55]says do not be like those who have forgotten Allah.
[6:07]Those who have forgotten Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
[6:12]It is as if what they forgotten themselves.
[6:16]When we forget Allah, when we forget that spiritual element, that goal
[6:21]towards Allah, Allah says you are going to forget yourself.
[6:25]You're going to get to a point where you won't realize who
[6:28]you are.
[6:32]It's quite straightforward.
[6:35]Allah says, "Those who forget Allah, they forget themselves." So we need
[6:39]to make sure we don't forget ourselves.
[6:41]How do we not forget ourselves?
[6:46]Ali says in a very famous narration, he who knows himself knows
[6:56]his lord.
[6:55]It's a very simple line.
[6:59]He who knows himself knows his lord and he who forgets his
[7:03]lord forgets himself.
[7:04]So when we say self-nowledge.
[7:10]Do we mean for example that I have to know that I
[7:15]was born on this day and my father is this and my
[7:20]mother is this?
[7:18]Is that it?
[7:20]No.
[7:20]When we talk about it means to understand the h of your
[7:25]soul upon yourself.
[7:27]It means to understand what that soul is that journey to Allah
[7:31]what it is and to understand the true reality of being.
[7:34]When you understand the reality of being and that reality of the
[7:39]universe, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala makes you truly remember yourself.
[7:43]And when when that happens, no one can ever hurt you.
[7:48]The Quran says in verse 105, "Oh you who believe, for you
[7:58]is yourself.
[8:01]It will not harm you if someone chooses to deviate as long
[8:06]as you are rightly guided.
[8:07]Like we said, today we live in a society where everyone is
[8:14]trying to deviate you.
[8:15]They're trying to bring you towards a different path, right?
[8:19]Everyone is trying to take you towards their own version of H.
[8:23]When you realize what that hap is, Allah subhana wa ta'ala tells
[8:28]you It's not possible for anyone to deviate you once you've been
[8:35]guided once you reach a level of guidance.
[8:38]It's not possible for you to get lost.
[8:40]So we need to make sure we understand ourselves.
[8:44]We need to make sure that we understand Allah subhana wa ta'ala
[8:47]at the same time.
[8:47]Inshallah we can do that with the recital of your salawat.
[8:59]Allah subhana wa ta'ala says in verse 53, we will show them
[9:14]our signs in the universe and within themselves until it became it
[9:18]becomes clear to them what hap is.
[9:22]We will show our signs in the universe and we will show
[9:28]show our signs within themselves and only then will they understand.
[9:33]And in another verse it's the exact same.
[9:35]Allah subhana wa ta'ala says in a different verse that Allah subhanahu
[9:41]wa ta'ala will guide you through yourself.
[9:47]At this moment I have this verse but Allah subhana wa ta'ala
[9:53]says in other verses as well that there's two ways to understand
[9:57]him.
[9:58]There's two ways to understand h through the universe and through yourself.
[10:03]So Allah subhana wa ta'ala is telling us that there's two simple
[10:11]ways that I can guide you and one of those is what
[10:17]our fra Allah subhana wa ta'ala gives us fra what's fra it's
[10:22]our innate disposition our innate nature to seek Allah when insan doesn't
[10:28]even know anything from the beginning of time when you look at
[10:33]different civilizations They've tried to connect themselves to a higher power.
[10:37]They've tried to find a higher power.
[10:40]Whatever it may be, we can see that every single instance of
[10:48]humans living without connecting to each other, they realize that there is
[10:51]a higher power that must have created them.
[10:54]So, it's because of that higher power that has created them.
[10:57]They're looking towards it.
[10:59]It's only we're naturally inclined to do so.
[11:03]And second he says our signs are in the universe.
[11:06]For example, one of the things that we believe in is the
[11:11]anthropic principle or that we for example live in a goldilock zone.
[11:14]In science there is a belief that if the earth after the
[11:22]big bang for example was to be either too hot or too
[11:24]cold then life would have been impossible to exist.
[11:28]just a few temperatures colder or a few temperatures hotter, nothing would
[11:36]come to exist.
[11:36]We would not have existence within itself.
[11:39]When some people view that the big bang, for example, must have
[11:47]been an accident.
[11:47]How can an accident create order?
[11:52]It's only through the order of a being that we can create
[11:55]that order, which is that anthropic principle.
[11:57]It's because that we live in a Goldilock zone, an area that
[12:01]the earth can exist without being too hot or too cold that
[12:07]we're able to live in a manner that we can be able
[12:12]to do of Allah.
[12:12]Allah says our signs are in the universe and the signs are
[12:17]within yourself.
[12:18]One of the most important things that we're often told to is
[12:21]just look around you.
[12:22]Look at the creation of Allah.
[12:25]Look at what Allah subhana wa ta'ala the earth that he's made
[12:27]to just view the art of the artist makes you understand the
[12:31]beauty and the design of that artist.
[12:37]So it's these two two ways withinelves and within the universe that
[12:41]I can understand Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
[12:43]One of those verses that's the other verse that I was referring
[12:51]to.
[12:52]There are countless signs on the earth for those who have faith
[12:55]and there are within yourselves.
[12:59]Allah subhana wa ta'ala is questioning and do you not see it?
[13:04]Do you not see within yourselves that fra that exists that calls
[13:08]you towards Allah subhana wa ta'ala?
[13:09]It does.
[13:11]We are always inclined towards the existence of a god.
[13:15]So it's because of that that we need to make sure that
[13:20]we try to look towards this god and look inwards to understand
[13:23]how I can reach towards it and it's only through our souls.
[13:28]Many of us for example we work on our bodies we look
[13:33]we work on one aspect we look at our mind only for
[13:35]example we look at our body only and we leave that soul
[13:39]right Allah subhana wa ta'ala says just as the sim similar ways
[13:41]that you work on your body you have to work on your
[13:46]soul in the same way when you work on your body you
[13:47]go to the gym for any reason you have to go to
[13:50]the gym right you stop for example someone stops going to the
[13:55]gym for a month what's their body going to get it's going
[13:58]to get weaker after a while they won't get as strong right
[14:02]for example I know a lot of us during co a lot
[14:07]of us a lot of us play football you didn't get a
[14:08]chance to go to the field you came back after a year
[14:12]to actually play football with friends you realize you're not you you
[14:15]forgot a lot of things right you have to practice again it's
[14:19]that what we say practice makes perfect it's because you need to
[14:23]have that working regiment for your soul that you build it that
[14:27]you use that soul as a way to connect to Allah subhana
[14:31]wa ta'ala.
[14:32]So it's our soul that searches towards it.
[14:33]Imam he says in one of the narrations I wonder about this
[14:38]person he urgently searches for sometimes when he loses something but he's
[14:43]lost his soul but he's not searching for it.
[14:47]There are some who for example don't even search for it.
[14:49]They don't understand the soul.
[14:50]They've neglected the soul to a point where it's become dark.
[14:55]It hasn't they don't refer to it at all.
[14:58]It's only their body and you can see that you can see
[15:02]that in certain people's character in the way they act that sometimes
[15:06]you feel that there's not someone who is working on themselves.
[15:11]Inshallah all of us can try to work towards our souls.
[15:14]We can always use our regiment with which Allah subhana wa ta
[15:17]has given us.
[15:19]Allah has given us salah.
[15:19]He's given us the different parts of to build ourselves.
[15:24]Inshallah, we can build ourselves with this recital of a salawat.
[15:33]>> Can you see if there's a tissue like should be in
[15:39]the back somewhere?
[15:42]Insan's highest position is what?
[15:46]We said Insan has the highest of capacities.
[15:48]Allah subhana wa ta'ala says what?
[15:50]is verse 70.
[15:56]And certainly we have honored we have made him the highest of
[16:02]positions.
[16:03]It is as a result of ensan's capacity that we've honored him
[16:11]and we have taken him through lands and through the seas and
[16:19]we have given him risk from or from the goodness and then
[16:28]we have privileged them far above other creatures.
[16:32]What is this privilege that insan has our our ability to have
[16:43]intelligence?
[16:40]our ability to be able to understand.
[16:45]Allahhana hasn't given it to any other animals, right?
[16:50]He's given it to insan.
[16:52]What does he say ine?
[17:00]He has succeeded.
[17:03]Who purifies it?
[17:06]He who purifies his soul, he's successful.
[17:10]But what does he say?
[17:13]And he who has failed, he's corrupted his soul.
[17:17]So we need to make sure we purify that soul.
[17:20]And Allah subhana wa ta'ala is always giving you opportunities.
[17:23]In every single moment, Allah is telling you come towards me.
[17:27]It's like for example when there is a rain a lot of
[17:32]the time when it rains and someone they want water, right?
[17:37]They're very thirsty.
[17:36]Allah subhana wa ta'ala is always bringing that rain down onto you.
[17:40]But it's not the fact of how much rain you're going to
[17:44]receive.
[17:44]It's how much of your cup that you can hold.
[17:47]It's upon yourself to take which Allah subhana wa ta has given
[17:50]you.
[17:51]Allah gives us many opportunities to connect to him.
[17:56]Allah subhana wa ta'ala says we've g we've given the sons of
[18:03]Adam a high position an honorable position but now he says onto
[18:07]you how much can you go to your capacity how much can
[18:12]you reach that level of spirituality that Allah subhana wa ta'ala has
[18:15]left for you we always need to like we said work on
[18:20]ourselves to try to to try to strive towards that perfection and
[18:24]there's various degrees of perfection >> if we look at Allah subhana
[18:29]t as the ultimate perfection everything else not just insan is trying
[18:34]to reach towards it no there are degrees of perfection let's say
[18:39]a tree for example there are many trees around us there are
[18:43]certain trees that are not as strong they don't for example they
[18:46]haven't received as much water so you can't really use them as
[18:51]shade right they haven't reached that level of perfection that a tree
[18:55]should.
[18:55]On the contrary, sometimes we'll see certain trees, they can give us
[19:00]shape and they for example grow very healthy and they bear fruits.
[19:04]That tree for example at the same time has reached its level
[19:09]of perfection, a higher level of perfection towards that other tree.
[19:12]So all of us exist on different planes on different levels and
[19:16]degrees of perfection.
[19:19]And when we try to get ourselves closer to Allah, it's through
[19:21]that way that we can reach a higher degree to bring ourselves
[19:24]closer to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to be able to connect with
[19:32]him.
[19:33]What does what do we say in one of the surah by
[19:50]the tea by the fig we have created in sand in the
[19:57]best of forms.
[20:04]It's because you didn't realize your potential.
[20:07]It's because you didn't try to seek perfection.
[20:12]It's because you've corrupted your soul.
[20:14]You've gone to the lowest of lows.
[20:17]Allah subhana wa ta'ala had a big plan for you.
[20:21]He wanted you to reach the best of creations.
[20:24]Sometimes it's because of our lack of attention to our spiritual side
[20:28]that we are to the lowest of those in that hellfire.
[20:33]We go to the lowest of those.
[20:36]That's what we need to pay attention to.
[20:38]Allah subhana wa ta'ala wants us to reach a high potential.
[20:43]Allah has given you that opportunity to reach that potential.
[20:45]But if not, that's what we get.
[20:48]What do we sometimes when we pray when we pray salah?
[20:53]One of the verses we'll recite often just because it's short.
[20:56]We want to recite it.
[21:00]It's shorter.
[21:03]By the time indeed mankind is in loss, it's quite straightforward.
[21:11]Allah saying that is going to always lose.
[21:15]Mankind are losers.
[21:19]But except except for if you do what you believe and because
[21:35]of that belief you do good.
[21:37]You believe you do good.
[21:41]You follow h and you have sabah.
[21:44]When you go towards h when you go towards sabah it's only
[21:49]then that you do not lose.
[21:52]We have that opportunity my dear brothers and sisters to reach the
[21:56]highest levels.
[21:58]We are the ones who have been dignified.
[22:00]So why should we bring ourselves to a low level?
[22:04]Ensance created three different creations and he refers to them.
[22:09]He says, "We created angels." The angels have what?
[22:15]They have a connection to Allah, but they don't have naps.
[22:21]They don't have a need to do sins, right?
[22:21]They're forced to worship Allah.
[22:25]When then we have animals.
[22:28]The animals, they don't have and they have desires.
[22:32]They have enoughs.
[22:31]So the animals are going to be those who don't worship Allah
[22:37]and they'll walk on this earth and that's fine because they don't
[22:41]have an and then Allah subhana wa ta'ala has created insan insan
[22:45]is created with both what ands when you let your naps override
[22:51]your when you let your desires take a hold of you instead
[22:58]of your then you reach lower than those of the animals because
[23:01]the animal doesn't have right if he doesn't have he doesn't get
[23:05]punished for it but we who had but we didn't use it
[23:10]we get we get a position below those of animals and on
[23:15]the contrary when we for example use our and we also have
[23:19]naps and we let our take control it is our that brings
[23:27]us higher than the angels it's our position that becomes even higher
[23:30]and we get to a potential where we reach it and it's
[23:33]only through that that we can inshallah connect to Allah subhana wa
[23:38]ta'ala and connect to the holy prophet and his blessed promises is
[23:52]one of his hikmas one of his sayings He who regards himself
[24:05]with dignity, his desires become insignificant to him.
[24:08]When you view yourself as a creation of Allah, when you see
[24:14]yourself with the highest of capacity, you're not going to look towards
[24:21]this sin as if you want to do it.
[24:24]You realize that I who am in this high position, why would
[24:26]I fall into this sin?
[24:29]Only when you realize your dignity, when you realize your capacity, when
[24:35]you realize that my nef is meant, my soul is meant for
[24:37]a higher position, you won't waste your time doing, for example, other
[24:41]things that disgrace that nefs.
[24:43]And that's the way that we view our imams.
[24:46]Our imams have a true understanding of sins.
[24:51]When they, for example, see that there's a sin, they won't go
[24:55]towards it.
[24:56]Now, someone will ask a question, right?
[24:58]Some of you might have asked this, wait, but imams, they're not
[25:02]they they can't sin.
[25:06]They're so what about their judgment?
[25:07]How can we how do they have a if they, for example,
[25:09]are not allowed to sin?
[25:13]The imam was asked that one time, what did the imam do?
[25:17]He took the man's hand and he brought him outside to to
[25:21]a piece of garbage or so.
[25:24]He showed him that garbage and he said, "Would you put your
[25:26]hand in that garbage and eat it?" Is that disgusting?
[25:31]Why would I do that?
[25:31]The imam says, "The way you view that is the way that
[25:37]we view sins.
[25:37]Would you, for example, do something that is disgusting, dishonorable, embarrassing?" He
[25:45]says, "Us imams, we've come to that realization, that level of that
[25:51]level of understanding myself that when I go and I see something
[25:56]that for others it might look interesting, I see it as haram.
[25:59]I see it as something that is disgusting." And it's important to
[26:06]understand that when we say something is not good for us, for
[26:09]our souls, it's not always halal and haram.
[26:12]Some people think that halal and haram is the be all end
[26:17]all of what I can do and what I can't do.
[26:20]I want to bring this important note tonight.
[26:23]Our set of rules are not just halal and haram.
[26:25]That's pep that's Jewish prudence and that's the in the hands of
[26:32]amar what they decide humans for example insan are allowed to do.
[26:35]But there's a different set of rules for one who wants to
[26:39]seek perfection.
[26:38]And this is a level of that we need to understand.
[26:42]There are levels of perfection and rules that are in our our
[26:50]is very different.
[26:54]Sometimes something is halal.
[26:55]Something is allowed but it's not going to it's going to hurt
[26:57]your soul.
[26:59]For example, if I were to sit with friends and we were
[27:05]to waste our time, we were to talk about useless things, things
[27:09]that waste our time and we don't make use of the time
[27:13]that we have, what happens?
[27:15]It hurts our soul.
[27:18]We don't benefit from it.
[27:18]Is it haram?
[27:20]No.
[27:21]It's not haram to waste your time.
[27:24]But when Allah subhana wa ta'ala gives you time in terms of
[27:29]our we need to make sure we make use of it.
[27:30]That's what brings us to perfection.
[27:32]It's notal and haram we're talking about here.
[27:34]It is for example what will help my soul is it?
[27:42]Yes or no?
[27:44]Is that is it on us?
[27:49]No.
[27:50]Is it on you in terms of for it is on them
[27:54]in terms of because they want to reach a level of perfection.
[27:57]It's that they want to bring themselves to do it becomes recommended.
[28:04]They must do it.
[28:05]This is what we talk about when we set we bring a
[28:09]set of rules according to there are certain things that are allowed
[28:14]sometimes you can have bad thoughts right Allah says that you don't
[28:18]get sinned for thinking of doing something haram you don't get sinned
[28:24]for example for thinking or being jealous towards someone you see someone
[28:29]they have something nice and you become jealous of it Allah is
[28:32]not going to become to give you a sin because you got
[28:36]jealous jealous of him, right?
[28:37]It's not like you went and stashed his tires or something.
[28:38]You just saw it and as a result you have a feeling
[28:44]of jealousy in terms of that's a sin.
[28:48]It's not haram.
[28:47]It's just a thought.
[28:50]But when we talk about the rules of the rules of the
[28:53]souls, the rules of perfection, it'll make your heart a bit more
[29:00]dirty.
[29:01]In that way our hearts, our souls will not be as clean.
[29:06]We have to remove that jealousy from our hearts.
[29:09]We have to remove certain things from our hearts to bring ourselves
[29:12]closer.
[29:13]It's only through that that we're able to connect with Allah subhana
[29:18]wa tala.
[29:19]It's only through that that we can understand.
[29:27]>> Another for example is lying.
[29:30]Lying is haram.
[29:30]Right?
[29:30]your parents tell you lying is haram.
[29:33]But sometimes we're not saying that it's it's ever allowed.
[29:37]It's haram.
[29:38]But the way that it affects you in a sense of is
[29:45]different.
[29:42]When we look at our soul, when we ask kids, for example,
[29:48]when we ask kids, a lot of them they can't lie.
[29:51]If they lie, it hurts them, right?
[29:53]They can't hold a lie.
[29:56]Often times, if you try to tell them, they'll always tell you
[30:00]the truth.
[29:59]So when we look at them is much different.
[30:03]When you ask someone who's older, a lot of them lying is
[30:09]something normal to them.
[30:09]There are even people who lie just because for example you'll call
[30:13]someone and I heard this story.
[30:16]You call someone and people they just like to lie.
[30:18]You'll ask them where are you?
[30:23]He said he tells you I'm in the supermarket but he's at
[30:29]home.
[30:27]Just because he says I want to lie.
[30:34]That act of deceiving someone I enjoy it.
[30:35]Some people they will do that but it becomes to a point
[30:41]where it affects your soul.
[30:42]When you lie every time or so you become what we what
[30:46]did we say when you sin one of it is to for
[30:50]example continue to do so.
[30:52]It's worse than that sin itself.
[30:52]When you belittle that sin, when you make that sin common, it
[30:59]becomes normalized.
[31:00]Today we see that so many sins are belittled.
[31:04]They're normalized.
[31:06]You ask someone, "Brother, why are you doing this?
[31:11]Why are you doing this?" They'll tell you, "At least I'm not
[31:14]doing that bigger sin." Because we've normalized that sin, it affects our
[31:20]souls.
[31:21]It affects our hearts.
[31:21]we get to a point where that sin feels like nothing to
[31:26]us.
[31:27]So it's important that in our journey to perfection, in our journey
[31:31]to connecting with Allah subhana wa ta'ala that we understand those realities
[31:35]inshallah.
[31:35]And now I want to finish off with three these three important
[31:39]points before we move on to our messiah.
[31:41]When it comes to our souls, there are three levels that our
[31:44]artists have explained.
[31:47]Your soul is in three different levels.
[31:50]What is it?
[31:49]On the first level we have on the lowest of levels there
[31:59]is a naps that wants to do.
[32:01]This is the lowest.
[32:01]This is the one we say is lower than the it is
[32:06]one they're driven by their naps.
[32:08]They want to do evil.
[32:12]Their has gotten to the lowest of points.
[32:15]They allow their their animalistic self to take control.
[32:17]Allah subhana wa ta'ala says in one of the verses indeed the
[32:25]soul commands to evil except for whom Allah has mercy.
[32:30]So we can see that there is a threat of enough that's
[32:33]on the lowest of levels the seconds of level that we want
[32:43]to reach to or maybe we are at that is the this
[32:45]is the reproachfulness.
[32:48]This is an who realizes that he's done wrong as a result
[32:51]of our har.
[32:53]He wants to come back to Allah subhana wa tala.
[32:56]He feels a sense of guilt and he slowly tries to bring
[32:59]himself to a spiritual life and that start begins and I swear
[33:07]by the reproaching soul.
[33:10]So Allah subhana wa ta'ala tells you if you've done wrong to
[33:14]rebuke yourself to bring yourself to and on the highest of points
[33:19]we have what the tranquil soul at this point the soul is
[33:25]it's at peace it is the most noble of positions when we
[33:30]said that it's this soul the one who's reached that capacity that
[33:37]he is at peace with himself.
[33:39]He knows that Allah subhana wa tala is happy with his actions.
[33:44]He knows that he is always going to try to do good
[33:45]that his naps is not ever going to overtake him.
[33:56]Allahhana he says return to your lord pleased with him and Allah
[34:04]subhana wa ta'ala is pleased.
[34:06]So enter into my paradise.
[34:11]So our goal should always be to reach what when I want
[34:17]my nes to be in the highest of points.
[34:19]I should look inwards.
[34:22]So remember my dear brothers and sisters to end off here.
[34:24]When you're trying to do something don't always look at it as
[34:28]aal and haram thing.
[34:29]Is it halal?
[34:31]Okay it's halal.
[34:30]Sometimes we say is it mro?
[34:35]Okay it's still allowed.
[34:34]Let me do it.
[34:37]No, when we talk about certain things, our actions should always be
[34:41]in terms of if we want to reach that state that peak
[34:43]perfection, if we want to say as Allah subhana wa ta says
[34:48]to know your soul says so inshallah all of us will know
[34:53]ourselves and as a result of knowing ourselves we will know our
[34:58]lord and through that inshallah we'll reach that level of perfection and
[35:01]if you are as well inshallah recite the salawat Muhammad or Ali
[35:06]Muhammad Hussein.
[35:19]Tonight we reach our next one of the Ms.
[35:27]We reach a point where the companions of the prophet of sah
[35:33]the companions of Hussein have gone and they fought.
[35:38]Now comes to the family of Imam Hussein.
[35:41]And tonight we're going to remember and Muhammad in this malis.
[35:46]We will remember him.
[35:50]We remember both and Muhammad the sons of Zam.
[35:54]saying yeah.
[35:57]When these words echo from the walls of our malis, a lady
[36:03]in a black hijab, she joins us.
[36:05]Who is this?
[36:07]This is she watches us and she cries with us in these
[36:12]malas.
[36:13]When we recite, she cries for us.
[36:16]She cries for our for her son Hussein.
[36:18]She collects our tears.
[36:19]So inshallah let's try to make sure that we feel that in
[36:24]our hearts that it's not just us by ourselves in these when
[36:31]we recite that fat is there with us we can use this
[36:34]as a way of our shaf on the day of judgment hussein
[36:37]he's inbalah and he hardly has 72 men with him and some
[36:43]of them are not even grown adults some of IM Hussein's men
[36:47]those 72 are children And who are those children?
[36:51]They one of those two of those children are and Muhammad they're
[36:55]the sons of Zam.
[36:57]Imagine a 13 and 11 years old.
[37:01]If I can ask you kids to just give me their attention
[37:04]if not for the lecture, give the attention for the Hussein for
[37:11]this.
[37:10]When we discuss and Muhammad what are how old are they?
[37:15]Alman is only 13 years old and Muhammad is only 11 years
[37:20]old.
[37:21]So not too far from the age from yourselves.
[37:23]And first when we look at them they don't look like people
[37:29]who for example would fight right when we look at 11 and
[37:31]13 year olds today we we don't feel that they would be
[37:36]ready for fighting.
[37:38]But during that time tonight let's conffort ourselves.
[37:43]Let's let us confer those mothers of Kbella who were proud to
[37:48]sacrifice their children for Islam the mothers of the mothers of the
[37:56]mothers of the mother of and the mother of these mothers they
[38:04]were proud of their children.
[38:04]They loved their children of course they did but like any mother
[38:10]they still had a heart of a mother.
[38:13]They still love their children.
[38:13]Why then do these mothers of Kbalah let their children to fight
[38:17]on that day knowing that they'll be killed?
[38:21]Because they knew the of they knew that these sacrifices would help
[38:26]Islam.
[38:27]So these mothers of any mother knows how much that love is.
[38:31]They squash that motherly love to sacrifice their children for Islam.
[38:35]How can we our Husseinis we ever forget those mothers?
[38:40]Why shouldn't we cry and do ma for those mothers of and
[38:46]their children these mal they will never die it it always allows
[38:53]us to remember the yaz of today it's these malis that bring
[38:57]ourselves to remember these people and remember that anyone can be a
[39:04]Husini anyone can fight on their side and on that night on
[39:07]the night of muaram it came it was ashan night.
[39:10]It was a very tragic night.
[39:12]This is the night of the martyrs of Kabella.
[39:15]No one in the camp of Hussein they slept on that night.
[39:20]The men they slept, they spent the whole night praying.
[39:23]They recited dua and they recited the Quran.
[39:26]But those mothers of our hearts are with them because in these
[39:30]nights they preparing their children.
[39:32]They're preparing their children for tomorrow.
[39:35]For that next day is ash.
[39:37]What do these mothers tell them?
[39:38]To be careful?
[39:39]Do they to hide?
[39:41]To save their faces?
[39:42]No.
[39:42]They tell their children to sacrifice their lives for Hussein.
[39:46]They were telling them to fight.
[39:50]But don't they love their children?
[39:52]Of course they do.
[39:52]Like we said, they have those hearts of a mother.
[39:55]They're proud of their children and they love it.
[39:58]But they know that Hussein was on the right path that their
[40:01]sacrifice would save Islam because Allah subhana wa ta'ala would be pleased
[40:06]with him.
[40:07]Now let us listen to what the mothers of Kabella they were
[40:10]telling their children on the night of the son the mother of
[40:18]Ali Akbar what does she say to her son Ali my darling
[40:21]son Ali Akbar tomorrow is the day of the battle my son
[40:26]Ali Akbar remember your life is not more important than the life
[40:29]of your father your father's life you will be in danger tomorrow
[40:36]so don't hesitate to give your life to protect your father says
[40:39]to her baby.
[40:41]She's talking to her baby one who is just still drinking milk.
[40:48]She says, "My baby, I wish you were a young man.
[40:50]I would have sacrificed your life to save your father's life." She
[40:56]this the mother of Alim he says my son my darling if
[41:02]your father was alive today Hassan if he was alive he would
[41:06]have sacrificed his life first my darling don't embarrass me in front
[41:13]of your father on the day of judgment my son don't hesitate
[41:18]to sacrifice your life to protect your uncle's life Hussein's sister is
[41:24]sitting alone she's weeping.
[41:25]What does she say?
[41:27]Her brother, he hears her crying.
[41:31]He comes to her tent.
[41:32]Why are you crying?
[41:35]What's the matter?
[41:35]She says, Abbas, tomorrow is the day of sacrifice, but I have
[41:40]no child to sacrifice.
[41:42]My sister Kulum, don't cry.
[41:45]Abbas is still alive.
[41:46]Tomorrow, that sacrifice will be a gift on your behalf.
[41:51]I will sacrifice on your behalf.
[41:52]And then we go to She has and Muhammad.
[41:58]She says, "My sons and Muhammad, tomorrow is the day of battle.
[42:02]Your uncle Hussein's life will be in danger.
[42:06]My darlings, if anything happens to your uncle Hussein, while you are
[42:11]still alive, I will be filled with shade.
[42:13]my and Muhammad I will not be able to face your grandmother
[42:21]on that day of judgment so please don't let me down be
[42:26]those who are the first to sacrifice your lives and they spend
[42:29]that night of in prayer and then the day of arrives alkar
[42:35]he recites the faj ofan and they begin their faj prayer and
[42:42]the day it gets very hot and that army of 72 two
[42:44]they fight against that army of Yazid Hur goes onto that battlefield
[42:50]and he becomes Shahid and one by one Hussein's companions they are
[42:54]killed and since dawn say has been watching those bodies enter back
[42:59]into the tent she calls her sons and my sons what are
[43:06]you waiting for why are you not on the battlefield yet go
[43:10]and fight those enemies of Islam What do they say?
[43:16]Listen to this from Muhammad.
[43:16]Mother Ya, since dawn, we've been asking our our uncle Hussein.
[43:23]We want to fight.
[43:24]We're asking for permission to fight on your behalf, but he refuses
[43:31]us.
[43:32]Mother, help us.
[43:32]Give let to give his permission for us to enter that battlefield
[43:37]to fight on his behalf.
[43:38]So she calls Al Hussein to her tent.
[43:45]She says, "Yeah, Hussein, have I not been like a mother to
[43:49]you?
[43:49]Hussein, your mother, look at me as if you're I'm your mother.
[43:52]I'm begging you to let and let Muhammad they enter that battlefield
[43:58]for them to fight." Imam Hussein, he says, "What zi jihad is
[44:02]not waj on your children?
[44:03]How can I let my sister sons be killed while I'm still
[44:09]alive?
[44:10]No, Zab, I'm not going to allow it.
[44:12]And then she says, Hussein, my brother, if Ali Akbar dies before
[44:16]and Muhammad, how will I face our mother Fatima on the day
[44:21]of judgment?
[44:20]I'm going to be filled with shame.
[44:22]Please let my sons go.
[44:26]He sees that disappointment in her face.
[44:28]And his eyes are filled with tears and he puts his arms
[44:30]around Awan and Muhammad and he leads them to their horses.
[44:34]He kisses them one last time and he helps them out their
[44:36]horse.
[44:37]He says, "Go, go and show these beastly men that you have
[44:43]who?" The blood of Jaffel and you have the blood of Ali
[44:46]in your veins and they look at their mother and they say
[44:53]what?
[44:54]For the last time they say to their mother, she says, "My
[45:02]sons, I leave you to Allah subhana wa ta'ala." They go onto
[45:08]the battlefield and they fought bravely together.
[45:09]They're the grand they're the sons grandsons of Jaff and Ali.
[45:15]Why would they not?
[45:16]They push the enemies back.
[45:17]But the hundreds of Yazid's armies, they are too strong.
[45:21]Abbas and Hussein, they're watching these two brothers fight so fiercely despite
[45:25]they've been thirsty for three days.
[45:28]And Abbas, who has trained on Muhammad in this art, he's filled
[45:32]with pride.
[45:33]And during that time, Omar, Yazid's commander, he gets worried.
[45:36]So what does he say?
[45:37]He orders his soldiers to separate the two.
[45:40]He says that if they were by themselves, it would be easier
[45:43]to kill them.
[45:45]So then on both sides they're separated.
[45:47]A and Muhammad are separated from each other and they're surrounded by
[45:51]Yazid's armies.
[45:53]And the two brothers they were attacked by the horsemen running from
[45:58]each side and they were attacked by arrows by swords and by
[46:02]spears and by daggers by both sides.
[46:07]And how can two young children thirsty and hungry for three days
[46:11]take?
[46:11]As they fall they call out to their uncle.
[46:15]Yah uncle.
[46:13]Yah Hussein, come quickly.
[46:17]Come and help us.
[46:20]Yah.
[46:21]Hussein and Abas.
[46:20]They rush to the battlefield.
[46:24]There's children there.
[46:25]We They're severely wounded.
[46:26]And they take their last breath.
[46:28]They say, "Uncle, give my salams to my mother.
[46:36]Uncle, please tell my mother that we did just as she had
[46:41]told us.
[46:42]We did not go towards the river and drink any water.
[46:45]We fought thirsty on this plains of Kabala.
[46:48]Imm Hussein and Abbas they carry those two young bodies as they
[46:55]give their last breath.
[46:56]And Ali Akbar he cries and Muhammad they've been killed.
[47:00]And Zab she hears this cry.
[47:03]Imagine a mother in that moment hears that in that moment that
[47:06]her sons have have died on that battlefield.
[47:09]She does not cry.
[47:12]She lays her mah in front of her and she performs a
[47:14]sag and she says what?
[47:19]Ya Allah, I have given my sacrifice.
[47:20]Please accept my sacrifice and Muhammad.
[47:24]Ya Allah, I ask you to be proud of my two sons
[47:28]who have given their lives for Islam.
[47:31]A and Muhammad as their bodies they lay on that floor and
[47:36]the ladies they gather around it.
[47:37]They cry and they do not for them in that moment.
[47:48]They're crying around her.
[47:51]But Zena does not cry for she sees that she does not
[47:53]want her brother Hussein and Abbas for they're still standing.
[47:57]And it's she still tries to keep a strong face because she
[48:01]knows that there are others who are looking towards her as her
[48:08]two sons they lay on that field of Ya Allah, we ask
[48:33]you.
[48:31]Let's recite ya Allah 10 times as we call him.
[48:36]Ya Allah.
[48:38]Ya Allah.
[48:41]Ya Allah.
[48:37]Ya Allah.
[48:39]Ya Allah.
[48:40]Ya Allah.
[48:42]Ya Allah.
[48:44]Ya Allah, we ask you to allow us to use these nights
[48:50]to bring ourselves closer to you.
[48:52]Ya Allah, we ask you to make us as near to the
[48:56]Imam of our time and make us one of his loyal companions.
[49:00]Ya Allah, we ask you to accept these malis and accept these
[49:02]tears and let these tears be our shaf on that day of
[49:07]judgment.
[49:08]Ya Allah, we ask you, we've sinned.
[49:10]We've become short many times.
[49:11]We've had many shortcomings.
[49:12]Ya Allah, we ask you to forgive our sins.
[49:15]Ya Allah, we ask you to make this ash an eternal revolutions
[49:19]within our souls.
[49:21]Ya Allah, we ask you to make our lives the lives of
[49:26]and the deaths of the deaths of Ya Allah, we ask you
[49:28]those who are sick.
[49:31]Tonight, let's recite for those who are sick.
[49:35]They've asked us to ask for dua.
[49:38]Let's recite five times in their honor.
[50:13]Yo, all you who hears our dua and answers it, those who
[50:18]are sick, ya Allah, we ask you to heal Ya Allah, we
[50:22]ask you.
[50:23]There are many Muslim men today who are standing up to the
[50:26]oppression.
[50:27]We have those in Afghanistan, those in Iran, those in Shanad in
[50:31]Pakistan.
[50:32]We have those I I've noticed recently there was a story outside
[50:38]of Zam in Surya.
[50:40]They're not even allowing them.
[50:41]Those people who are in charge of surya those sons of they
[50:48]these people they don't even allow them to enter the to mourn
