[0:06]m in our last lesson we shed light on the first of
[0:57]the holy prophet sallallahu alaih the first battle that is actually we
[1:03]said that it was and we mentioned that is a place that
[1:12]falls between Mecca and Medina and that in this battle uh a
[1:19]fight did not actually take place so it's called a it's called
[1:25]a battle but a fight did not happen the battle In which
[1:28]fighting actually took place between the two armies the first battle in
[1:31]which that happened was the Battle of bad inallah we're getting closer
[1:35]to that very important event in the history of Islam so we
[1:44]mentioned that in there was a there was a peace treaty that
[1:48]was done between and a group of people and this was a
[1:53]beautiful result uh a beautiful result stemming from we mentioned that Islam
[2:05]they prefer solving things in a peaceful manner over solving things with
[2:10]you know brute force with uh with fighting um so this was
[2:18]one of the um good results of you good okay now uh
[2:40]one question came to mind we also shed light on the second
[2:45]uh the second let me just uh open the book of known
[3:07]as we mentioned right last week we did mention that's what that's
[3:16]what I remember um and uh according to was between the prophet
[3:23]s and uh between qur and B right yes you can close
[3:34]the door between qur and the prophet ended up performing a peace
[3:38]treaty with he mentioned that there was a peace treaty done between
[3:50]who between the prophet sallallahu alaih Al and between Ben Mur right
[3:57]let's look at say jafar's uh word again he says right and
[4:15]then regarding when we were talking about the second uh h of
[4:19]the holy prophet sallallah alai wasallam in uh the prophet mentioned sorry
[4:31]say ja here did not mention who was was seeking correct he
[4:45]mentioned sorry he mentioned B he mentioned B in mentioned in so
[4:54]this kind of uh brought some confusion i m you log out
[5:26]it's fine no problem okay so this kind of caused some confusion
[5:30]last week right that uh the confusion was uh because when we
[5:38]mentioned we said that the prophet sallallahu Al made a peace treaty
[5:44]with then when we mentioned it mentioned that the prophet sallu Al
[5:51]and the Muslim they were after a caravan for who for B
[5:59]and this caused confusion if if there was a peace treaty between
[6:03]and then why would they be why would they be after a
[6:11]caravan or so here is the answer uh we have to remember
[6:16]that we were citing two different sources we were citing two different
[6:20]sources for when we look he mentions that the first was between
[6:35]and and who and bani B when does say ja mention bani
[6:46]the second So based on whatever he was mentioning based on the
[6:54]historians that he was citing uh he was telling us in that
[7:01]the prophet sallallahu Al performed a peace treaty between performed a peace
[7:06]treaty with make sense but if we go to he says otherwise
[7:17]he says the first battle was between the prophet and B the
[7:22]second one was between the prophet and qur does that make sense
[7:42]they must be two different groups of people yeah and must be
[7:49]two different groups of people or else why why would the the
[7:52]prophet sallallah alai perform a peace treaty with Ben and then go
[7:58]after their care there's there's there's a peace treaty between him and
[8:03]Ben make sense yeah so what I'm trying to say the students
[8:15]who were present last week uh know what I'm talking about what
[8:18]I'm trying to say is the uh say mentioned some details regarding
[8:29]the the the first two that were a bit different than what
[8:33]mentioned in he mentioned that the firstwa was between the prophet and
[8:45]and who and B Mur Abbas mentioned B not MRA in the
[8:55]first the second known ASAT uh say jaf mentioned who he mentioned
[9:03]this time mentioned not so I just wanted to shed light on
[9:11]this point and say that uh such differences are seen sometimes when
[9:26]we look at uh historical events and we look into different um
[9:30]historical sources when you look at different historical sources or we look
[9:33]at different books that mention these historical events sometimes you will find
[9:41]such differences so as an example when we get to B if
[9:46]you read what happened in B from a specific Source let say
[9:51]and then you go to another book for example or in and
[9:56]you read the details of you might find certain details that are
[10:00]different certain details that and differ on that's normal okay so such
[10:07]differences are witnessed when someone looks at multiple sources and analyzes a
[10:13]particular historical event the bottom line is would not he would never
[10:26]break a peace treaty between him and a group of people uh
[10:31]unless those people did something that indicated that the peace treaty was
[10:35]what was nullified that's a given all right that being said we
[10:57]have a few points to add today regarding and also want to
[11:02]mention the third known as right now we're goingon to focus on
[11:17]which is the second uh number one took place in it is
[11:35]also said that it took place in so this is the the
[11:42]time in which thewa took place took place in it is said
[11:50]also that it took place in why is it called batat is
[11:59]the name of a mountain that falls between Mecca and Medina and
[12:21]apparently bat is close to a mountain called radwa why am I
[12:33]mentioning this because in we there's a segment where we ask where
[12:42]are you are you in or are you in the perhaps this
[12:50]is the that the da is referring to a mountain R is
[12:52]also a mountain between Mecca and Medina what do let's test your
[13:10]your memory yeah okay so that's a uh if a battle happened
[13:22]or was about to happen and the prophet was present with the
[13:25]Muslim in that event if however the prophet sent a group of
[13:33]Muslims to fight or a fight was about to happen between them
[13:37]and a group of people even though the fight even even even
[13:42]if a fight did not actually take place it's called a also
[13:50]called so would be like like m m or uh the events
[14:06]we mentioned prior to okay going back to bat another important fact
[14:31]to keep in mind is that sorry we were saying bat is
[14:46]close to what to right they claim that muham is in radwa
[14:58]he's in radwa he's alive he's sustained by Allah subhana and he
[15:07]remains there were who Kia were a group of people who deviated
[15:13]they claimed that Muhammad was the fourth IM said he's the fourth
[15:20]IM notus and he in fact is the last Im so he
[15:27]is the the promised Mahi and he's still alive now he's hiding
[15:32]where in um it seems that there are no more Kasia today
[15:39]but previously there were but they believe that Muhammad hanfia was the
[15:44]fourth IM Muhammad by the way was a good man he was
[15:50]the son of and was a no but he was not an
[15:56]IM he was not chosen by Allah tal to be an IM
[16:02]all right and he had a there was an event between him
[16:05]and IM pertaining to the Blackstone which we can mentioned one day
[16:10]perhaps I mentioned it before J in which Muhammad basically wanted to
[16:14]show the people that he was not the IM and the rightful
[16:18]IM was Al Hussein but the sad news is a group of
[16:23]people did claim that he was an IM and they deviated which
[16:30]reminds us of uh number one the danger of following our own
[16:36]desires instead of following Allah's command subhah wa ta'ala uh following our
[16:43]own desires instead of following Allah's guidance secondly it reminds us of
[16:50]the fact that sometimes you might have a misled group of people
[16:56]who claim to follow a particular person but that person uh does
[17:01]not have to do anything with those people he's not associated with
[17:05]them Muhammad is a good example another good example is the son
[17:16]of IM is not the founder of ism right is deviated after
[17:25]IM and they disbelieved in the IM of IM and the rest
[17:27]of the IMs the of but is not the founder of of
[17:36]of that sect yes no they say that they say that he
[17:45]is an Imam right or at least some of them say that
[17:48]he is he is the IM but the thing is is died
[17:55]before IM right so he cannot technically be the IM after his
[17:59]father the following Imam has to live at least for a day
[18:05]right or a moment before the uh he has to live at
[18:06]least for a day or a moment after the the IM that
[18:11]precedes him right yeah what's also absurd is that they said Muhammad
[18:28]is the is the last IM and he's only the fourth based
[18:36]on their beliefs right or us he's not an IM but they're
[18:37]saying he's the fourth and he's the last but how could that
[18:41]be where are the the rest of the imams we have 12
[18:44]imams which tells you or reminds you that when a person wants
[18:53]to Blind himself and accept any idea or belief even if it
[19:00]is clearly wrong he can blind himself and he will follow that
[19:05]idea unfortunately all right he mentioned in that the prophet in he
[19:20]came with 200 of his companions and he wanted to block the
[19:27]path of the Caravan of qur which obviously would carry Goods with
[19:31]it uh different kinds of merchandise and or Commodities now when he
[19:39]left when he when he was on his way when he left
[19:44]Medina the prophet Sall Al left a man called in Medina and
[19:57]he was in charge of what of uh protecting Al Medina taking
[20:05]care of al- Medina during the prophet's absence s which also reminds
[20:22]us of another very important reality what is that reality when he
[20:32]would leave he would not leave it without a caretaker hence when
[20:40]he left to meet the Romans to face the Romans inab we'll
[20:45]get theuk one day not this year for sure but someday inshallah
[20:50]um this was near the end of his life s Al he
[20:55]left the situation was very difficult was very tough and the prophet
[21:03]needed to face the Romans but at the same time because of
[21:07]the difficult circumstances that were taking place someone like the prophet had
[21:15]to stay in Medina who was like the prophet right he's the
[21:19]walking talking breathing Muhammad so he had to leave him in Medina
[21:24]such that the prophet had had basically only two choices either he
[21:30]leaves to face the Romans and Ali stays or Ali leaves and
[21:35]the prophet stays one of the two had to stay in Medina
[21:39]the prophet sallallah alai whenever he would leave Medina he would leave
[21:43]someone in charge of Medina what does that have to do with
[21:47]with you know with uh with our topic or what does that
[21:51]have to do with you know with with our beliefs oh well
[21:55]if the prophet sallallah alaih uh does not leave Medina during his
[22:01]lifetime without leaving someone in charge of Medina then how could he
[22:07]leave his um after his death without a caretaker right we're saying
[22:14]this because the sunnis claim that a prophet died without appointing a
[22:18]Khalifa and that now it was upon us to choose the C
[22:24]of right but wait for a second hold on for a second
[22:29]if the prophet does not leave Medina for an x amount of
[22:35]days or months without a caretaker then how could he leave his
[22:39]umah not only in Medina the mudun the cities of Islam the
[22:46]the state the Islamic State without someone who would take care of
[22:51]the Muslim without a guide someone who would protect the Muslim and
[22:54]protect Islam after him so these narrations that we see when we
[23:04]read history which tell us left for example in charge of Medina
[23:11]when he left Medina or he he he appointed as we said
[23:18]to be in charge of Medina to protect in Medina when he's
[23:22]absent during his absence these narrations indirectly confirm that the Prophet must
[23:30]appoint a Calif he must appoint someone to be his successor and
[23:37]to be the caretaker of Islam and the musliman after him of
[23:41]course when you say he appoints the the Calif we mean he
[23:46]appoints the Calif based on Allah's commands Allah appoints the Cal Allah
[23:54]appoints the IM and the prophet reveals to the Muslims who did
[23:57]Allah subhah wa ta'ala appoint these small details my friends that might
[24:13]seem not so important for some people are in reality important sometimes
[24:17]by simply looking at a small detail regarding an event regarding a
[24:21]battle regarding some other um some other occurrence which took place during
[24:27]the prophet's time Sall Al might prove a very important Point regarding
[24:32]imama or other Islamic beliefs any questions on bat bat no questions
[24:56]they went to uh to to BAS basically block the path of
[25:02]the uh of the Caravan the uh narration here says means he's
[25:10]going to block the path not necessarily take whatever is in it
[25:14]he's just he's simply blocking it yes the prophet and his uh
[25:25]and his men he had 200 companions with him successful or not
[25:29]successful um here he doesn't mention let me see what yes uh
[25:40]no battle took place no battle took place an actual fight did
[25:45]not happen yeah yeah even he says right so he doesn't exactly
[26:15]mention what happened with the Caravan perhaps the prophet walked the path
[26:19]and then the Caravan took another path and that's it we mentioned
[26:23]last week if you remember one of the one of the the
[26:27]benefits of these events which took place before bad when we said
[26:36]that the prophet was giving qur an implicit message that you should
[26:42]not assume that you can you know roam freely in Arabia from
[26:47]now on and you should not assume that you can simply come
[26:54]and attack us whenever you wish that's not the case do not
[26:59]assume that the Muslim are you know as weak as they were
[27:05]or they seem they were when they were in Mecca things have
[27:08]changed yes qur had had oppressed the prophet sallallah alai and the
[27:21]Muslim for 13 years and they had even killed some Muslim yeah
[27:25]so there was a lot of uh tension between qur and between
[27:31]the prophet and the Muslim they had caused them to leave their
[27:34]uh homes and migrate to Medina so because of the history that
[27:39]was between and between qur these uh these events were taking place
[27:48]and these in in these events no but later on they the
[27:54]battle will take place the first battle in which a fight happens
[27:57]is B yeah no the running away takes place in yeah yeah
[28:11]and H yeah yeah and H each battle has its own um
[28:24]details and its own important uh important events and you can break
[28:30]each battle into multiple events yeah are we out of time for
[28:39]today let me check how much time we have left seems that
[28:50]we are out of time uh 6 to 9 3 hours yeah
[29:01]all right next the next was next week we'll we'll speak about
