[0:01]there is no doubts that the life of the messenger of allah
[0:06]peace be upon him and his family is the perfect example for
[0:08]every Muslim to adhere to as mentioned in the holy quran in
[0:35]chapter al ahzab verse 21 therefore muslims must try to follow in
[0:50]his footsteps in order to not only become better muslims but also
[0:54]become better human beings but with the recent rise in terrorist attacks
[1:02]many have accused Islam of being a religion of violence in this
[1:06]documentary we look at the life of the Prophet Muhammad and in
[1:09]particular the battles he took Barton and the context and outcomes of
[1:14]these Wars [Music] in recent years there's been quite a lot of
[1:24]interest again at looking at how Islam developed in the early period
[1:32]of course a lot of that interest has been trying to find
[1:34]new types of sources that we might have especially non-muslim sources but
[1:39]also to look at what happened subsequent to the earliest period you
[1:46]know the establishment of a state which is primarily post prophetic the
[1:49]study of the battles of the Holy Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings
[1:54]be upon him in his holy progeny is a fascinating and integral
[1:58]part of the seer of the Holy Prophet whilst sometimes the battles
[2:06]have been the subject of misconceptions attacks and fabrication it's important for
[2:14]us to appreciate that the Prophet of Islam planned for each and
[2:18]every one and was indeed divinely supported Islam was spread through what
[2:24]God says in the Holy Quran what God describes as well Hekmati
[2:28]wilmore Allah tell Hassan with wisdom and good admonishing and good advice
[2:39]and there was no need for Islam to use violence when studying
[2:44]the biography of the Prophet Muhammad we noticed that he spent 13
[2:49]years of his message in his hometown Mecca later ordered to migrate
[2:53]as his life was threatened and therefore the spread of the message
[2:58]of Islam was in danger as mentioned in the holy of Quran
[3:01]in chapter al and fun [Music] [Music] the Prophet peace be upon
[3:39]him and upon his family had to leave the city of baka
[3:43]because he was under pressure the holy quran tells us that Borash
[3:51]the tribe of the prophet who rejected him and did not believe
[3:55]in his mission they decided after 13 years they decided that either
[4:01]they have to murder the prophet or imprison him or send him
[4:10]into exile and therefore they came to a conclusion that the best
[4:15]way to get rid of Muhammad and his mission and his religion
[4:22]is to put an end to his life the Prophet migrated to
[4:25]Medina and this was when the message of Islam prospered under the
[4:30]guidance of the Holy Prophet who established the first community of Muslims
[4:36]living amongst non-muslims in a peaceful manner [Music] the wars were very
[4:44]much about defending the faith which meant that if someone was willing
[4:48]to fight the early Muslims than they had to be fought against
[4:53]but it was not that when you were fighting against them they
[4:56]were fighting against their whole family or their tribe or anything like
[4:59]that and when they were defeated they were defeated of course possessions
[5:04]did come into the notion of booty and how you deal with
[5:06]booty but it wasn't the case that you humiliated them on the
[5:11]battlefield after you defeated them or humiliated their women or anything like
[5:16]that that was not part of the the message that the Prophet
[5:19]was bringing bringing with respect to how you you act on the
[5:24]battlefield and of course those who were not willing to fight those
[5:27]who fled from the battlefield women and children and old people were
[5:32]not to be fought civilians were not afford the environment the trees
[5:38]the fields were not to be destroyed you were not supposed to
[5:45]do things which normally would be considered to be a military tactic
[5:51]which would be useful for example cutting off supplies to water and
[5:55]food this was not what you did because ultimately you were not
[5:58]fighting for military victory you were fighting to secure the early Muslim
[6:02]community and to show that you had certain moral values which were
[6:10]higher than the values that you saw around you that people saw
[6:13]a random so if anything by the example of having the moral
[6:19]high ground the example of showing that you would be magnanimous towards
[6:24]those who were willing to be softer to you meant that you
[6:28]would increase the interest that people might take in the faith in
[6:32]this nascent faith you know you by by acting in a gracious
[6:38]manner you would then be calling people to the faith the first
[6:42]battle the Holy Prophet took part in was the battle of badr
[6:47]in which the Muslims gained victory over the flesh as mentioned in
[7:04]the holy quran in chapter 11 verse 1 2 3 the Battle
[7:19]of Badr demonstrated the great diversion of the disciples to the cause
[7:26]and their complete faith in the Prophet and his mission the Battle
[7:31]of Badr is an indication that this new community in what later
[7:37]becomes known as Medina is trying to consolidate its position and knows
[7:43]how to defend itself as we all know the weather is certainly
[7:50]time the sacred history is absolutely pivotal because it could have been
[7:55]the beginning of the end a defeat and brother would have certainly
[7:59]jeopardized this nascent community which is developing in Medina Abu Sufyan was
[8:06]carrying a huge Caravan and that Caravan was the entire wealth of
[8:12]Quraysh they decided to go from Makkah to Syria in the north
[8:16]so they had to pass a through Medina and the Prophet peace
[8:21]be upon him was in Medina at that time so the Prophet
[8:24]said to his community that this is the caravan of Quraysh if
[8:31]we can seize this caravan we're going to incapacitate porush and disabled
[8:38]them and therefore they would not be able to come and attack
[8:41]us so it was like a preemptive strike the Prophet sallallahu alayhi
[8:46]wa alayhi wasalam would consult with the muslims and certainly a number
[8:51]distinguished companions about how to go about this or what they think
[8:59]should happen one of the important principles the Holy Prophets done is
[9:03]is teaching us in this particular aspect is that he's done pre-emptive
[9:07]defense number one but number two is also protecting the city of
[9:12]Medina itself he doesn't want any attack or any bats or any
[9:18]fighting to take place in Medina that would then affect everybody who's
[9:22]living in Medina even those who don't want to participate in the
[9:25]fighting even a women even the children even those people who cannot
[9:28]participate in the fighting the army of Muslims left Medina and camped
[9:34]in an area known as bother the Holy Prophet did send a
[9:37]message to the army of Koresh that it was better fighting did
[9:42]not take place but Abu jahil insisted that the battle commences the
[9:46]war took place on the 17th of Ramadan second year after the
[9:51]migration of the Holy Prophet the Hitler the standard flag that represented
[9:56]the army was handed to Ali Abner be upon him the cousin
[10:02]of the Prophet among the 313 that were fighting with the Holy
[10:07]Prophet Mohammed 77 were from the Mujahideen the migrants and 236 were
[10:12]from the Unser the helpers the Battle of Badr had far-reaching consequences
[10:19]till then the Muslims were avoiding any major conflict but now these
[10:25]victories gave the Muslims confidence to build up their physical abilities and
[10:30]were now recognized as a powerful community they could now meet force
[10:35]with force wanna party the Akula rasullullah well oddly enough su VAD
[10:53]now you cut it on yamaraja lon a octa low sob remotest
[11:04]even mocked villain like a much better Ilana the first thing that
[11:09]would take place as far as a battle is concerned is a
[11:13]jewel and normally one individual emerges from each sides to fight and
[11:19]that whoever defeats the other would give a huge morale boosting victory
[11:23]to his own army in this instance three prominent individuals from Quraysh
[11:30]emerged they were of course che Bharata and a new elite they
[11:34]all part of the aristocratic garage set up and the Prophet of
[11:41]Islam initially sent three of the Muslims to fight them but they
[11:44]said no we want prominent individuals to emerge and of course what
[11:47]followed was a mere nominee and Ali bin Abi Talib alehissalaam Hamza
[11:51]not the motive alehissalaam and away the abinell Haris was the cousin
[11:59]of the Holy Prophet they emerged to engage in this so to
[12:04]speak jewel with the three from fresh from a military point of
[12:12]view there's no match the people of Makkah are more well-equipped there's
[12:17]more them they're more number they have more horses more camels more
[12:22]weapons on and so forth the Muslims in comparison 313 only have
[12:26]two also has a few camels much many people are on foot
[12:31]so on and so forth so there's no militarily there's no comparison
[12:35]between the Muslims and and and them and the markets [Music] the
[13:00]Muslim suffered 22 martyrs but of course victory was for Islam and
[13:07]the Muslims as promised by allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala bootys of war were
[13:12]taken prisoners indeed were taken and one of the prisoners that was
[13:15]taken was a man by the name of upon us who was
[13:18]the husband of Zeynep Zeynep was one of the adopted daughters of
[13:22]the Holy Prophet and when she sent a necklace to the Prophet
[13:29]because she was in Mecca to free this man her husband the
[13:32]Prophet wept because he remembered Hadiya and then he said to the
[13:40]Muslims would you free this man and on a condition that he
[13:43]sends his wife to Medina Zeynep to be sent back to Medina
[13:48]and I will ask honored that when people were taken as prisoners
[13:51]of war at the end of the battle the Holy Prophet of
[13:57]Islam told them the ways in which they could be set free
[14:00]so he said to the people who had wealth who were rich
[14:05]that they could provide some wealth and in exchange for that wealth
[14:08]they would be set free and those who could read and write
[14:14]who were educated he told them if you teach ten Muslims how
[14:16]to read and write you can be set free and it's important
[14:22]that this note to emphasize that the Prophet of Islam he when
[14:25]he came to treating prisoners he treated them with the kindness in
[14:31]that they were not brutalized it is not you know the idea
[14:34]of mass execution so to speak that sadly we find today some
[14:40]individuals who have hijacked the teachings of the religion of Islam claimed
[14:43]to follow the Sunnah of the holy prophet but they have indeed
[14:46]transgressed excessively from the teachings of the Prophet of Islam the fury
[14:53]of the caleche at their defeat at butter knew no bounds as
[14:59]they commenced preparations for yet another attack on the Muslims their forces
[15:03]numbered 3,000 of well-equipped soldiers under the command of Abu Sufyan when
[15:14]the Muslims were able to defeat duration the Battle of better many
[15:18]of them they were proud of themselves and they thought that they
[15:23]don't have to fight God is always on their side even if
[15:29]they don't fight God will send His angels to support that and
[15:33]therefore unfortunately in the battle of ohad they didn't take it serious
[15:37]the battle took place in the month of Shawwal in the valley
[15:42]by matt offered in the third year after the migration or hydra
[15:46]of the Holy Prophet Muhammad from Mecca to Medina yet this time
[15:50]the outcome of the battle is different to that of Badr so
[15:58]holy prophet of islam marches with his army 1,000 people this time
[16:02]he marches from medina coming towards mountain award in the midst of
[16:06]the holy prophet going to or 300 people led by abdullah bin
[16:12]or weigh the chief of hypocrites jay says that i don't want
[16:15]to participate in the battle and he takes his 300 people and
[16:19]they leave another prophet is left with 700 when he comes to
[16:22]mount what he sees he examines the area around mountain and he
[16:29]sees that he had from which side does he need to protect
[16:33]himself so he places himself and the armies at the foot of
[16:38]the mountain by placing himself at the foot of the mountain nobody
[16:41]can attack from behind because the mountain is behind but and so
[16:46]then he says okay so we can now fight in front of
[16:50]us we don't have to worry about anybody attacking us from behind
[16:54]but there is a approach on the mountain which comes from the
[17:01]left-hand side and this approach of the mountain that comes from the
[17:04]left-hand side is away from which some they can attack you from
[17:08]behind the Prophet organized the muhajireen and the Ansar and he placed
[17:13]a man by the name of Abdullah evening urban Jew Bayer with
[17:16]50 arches in a mount which is now known as geobella vomit
[17:23]which was located and positioned behind where the Muslim army where indeed
[17:29]set and the idea behind the presence of this man with the
[17:33]50 arches with that they would protect the Muslims from the rear
[17:38]the Prophet of Islam clearly said to them you are not to
[17:42]leave your positions what ever happens if we are victorious you remain
[17:46]and if we are defeated you remain when the army had gathered
[17:52]in the early parts of the month of Shawwal three years after
[17:55]Hydra there was the process of the duel and a man by
[17:59]the name of tallhojden a Beatle aha emerged from the army of
[18:04]Quraysh and challenged for a jewel and the individual who confronted him
[18:12]was none other than Imam Amir al-mumineen I leave naba toilet alayhis-salam
[18:19]this pal ha was defeated his leg was severed and later he
[18:22]died and we are told according to historical narrations such as babari
[18:27]he says several of his brothers then also emerged to fight Imam
[18:32]Ali Allah's Salam and they were all killed by the commander of
[18:40]the faithful this victory gave more inspiration and motivation to the Muslims
[18:46]so now when they enter into the battle of hood there is
[18:49]a different kind of attitude and different approach from Abu Sufian first
[18:52]of all he's got all these women around him from the makan
[18:56]side and they're all raising them are all of the army the
[18:58]other thing is that he's got the idol and then he's calling
[19:03]out and he's saying to them that we have this idol and
[19:06]you don't have any idol and you don't have any any gods
[19:13]to question this is number two number three is that since hint
[19:17]is is the one who brother was killed and her father was
[19:22]killed and one of her sons were killed so on and so
[19:27]forth and she's very aggrieved so she goes out and buy the
[19:30]slave and he's called Watchi and she brings him and tells him
[19:36]that you have to kill one of the people who killed my
[19:38]my my relatives amongst the objectives of the wife of Abu Sufyan
[19:46]hint was to assassinate either the Prophet the commander of the faithful
[19:51]Imam Ali Ali Salam or Hamza because of course they were responsible
[19:55]for the killing of her father and her brother in the Battle
[20:00]of Badr and when she appointed a man by the name of
[20:02]washi to execute or to assassinate one of them he said that
[20:08]I cannot get to the prophet and Ali is an individual who's
[20:11]constantly on the move in the battlefield but I can get to
[20:13]Hamza [Music] it was indeed hamza who attained martyrdom in the battlefield
[20:35]and later this individual hind' with mutual aid his body over take
[20:43]out and chew his liver would cut the ears of hamza and
[20:45]make a necklace out of them and when the prophet sallallahu alayhi
[20:49]wasallam saw the state of the mutual ated body of his uncle
[20:55]hamza he was grieving he was deeply saddened [Music] we are told
[21:33]that the Muslims the arches were in that particular mount recognized that
[21:38]they're losing out that the Muslims are taking these booties disposed but
[21:42]they're not getting anything so they started to descend from the Mount
[21:46]Abdullah bin Dube I told them that the Prophet said we must
[21:52]stay but they disobeyed him and out of the 50 only 10
[21:54]remained on that Mount Holly demean Walid who is a military commander
[22:02]in the army of Quraysh recognized at that mount which was of
[22:06]course a soft spot and behind the Muslims was now only protected
[22:11]by 10 arches therefore he take it took 200 men and he
[22:18]approached this area killed those 10 Muslims and attacked the Muslims from
[22:23]behind they disobeyed the commands of the Prophet they left their positions
[22:27]as a result of that they were attacked by the Polish army
[22:32]and unfortunately they were defeated and over 70 companions of the Prophet
[22:39]including his uncle Hamza were murdered in that battle the Muslims now
[22:44]are being attacked from the front yes there was a retraction of
[22:49]the Quraysh but when they saw that this was happening now they
[22:52]started to advance as well some prominent companions other Muslims began to
[22:58]run away to save their lives they thought that the battle is
[23:01]virtually lost must a bourbon Oh mayor would want light on our
[23:08]knee a righteous companion whom the prophet of islam had sent to
[23:11]medina to invite the people of Europe at that time towards the
[23:14]religion was an individual who was fighting courageously alongside the Prophet and
[23:19]he had covered his face Musab was martyred and some people began
[23:24]to spread rumors that the Prophet Attila Muhammad that the Prophet had
[23:28]been killed and this even further demoralized the Muslim army so when
[23:34]they heard that the Prophet of Islam had indeed been killed that
[23:36]is when some of them began to run away even further when
[23:41]the hand is called people from the Muslim side also start to
[23:45]leave the battlefield to mention you know amongst the historians that when
[23:51]this happened Imam Amir Amir Salaam started chasing behind one of the
[23:56]individuals and he said that where are you going so he said
[24:01]didn't you hear the call that Muhammad has been tonalá how they
[24:05]water said the husband killed so there so he said yes I
[24:12]had I had this cool so he says this person says that
[24:16]if Muhammad has been killed then what is the point of fighting
[24:21]and Imam emiram amin famously replied to him that if Muhammad has
[24:25]been killed and a la la Wally then what is the point
[24:30]of me living where is the point of life if he is
[24:33]been killed in chapter 11 verse 1 for for the Quran says
[24:43][Music] upon returning to Medina there was the announcement that what I
[25:27]wanted to finish off Muslims that they saw that there had many
[25:30]who are injured and that they are now assembling an army to
[25:33]actually carry on towards Medina the prophet of islam when he heard
[25:39]this he asked the muslims what you want to do and even
[25:41]the injured said the our soul Allah we will now fight till
[25:47]death to martyrdom Prophet Muhammad and the Muslims buried the dead on
[25:51]the battlefield returning home that very evening the Muslims had expected another
[25:59]victory which was considered a sign of God's favour upon them they
[26:04]had barely held off the invaders and had lost a great many
[26:07]men amongst all of these things which are the historical details of
[26:12]the battle and of course what transpires afterwards there's two very important
[26:16]lessons number one is that most non-muslims that McCants the people from
[26:23]Makkah they realize now that the Muslims this is the weak point
[26:28]of the Muslims which is what which is that they are divided
[26:31]the the Muslims are divided because some of them obeyed the holy
[26:36]prophets LOM and some of them disobeyed the Prophet they went against
[26:41]the command of the Prophet and allowed them a battle which was
[26:46]one two and in undecisive leeet's best if not a loss in
[26:50]the fact that after having the Mekons leave and retreat the battlefield
[26:58]they came back and then they attacked once again and the other
[27:02]thing is that now that now they realized that the religion of
[27:06]Islam is here to stay it is not something that can be
[27:11]eradicated or finished by lots of fighting or lots of bike by
[27:14]killing these people and no matter how many people would kill in
[27:17]reno islam will remain the Prophet tried his best to maintain friendly
[27:22]ties with the Jews living in Medina but gotten stressed the importance
[27:27]of unity between the two religions and had asked the Jews to
[27:34]come to terms with the Muslims addressing them as the people of
[27:38]the book in chapter 11 verse 64 [Music] [Music] [Music] when the
[28:15]Prophet peace be upon him came to the city of Medina he
[28:21]had to sign a treaty or a pact with the people of
[28:26]the book namely the Jews there were three main tribes in Medina
[28:31]and around money that they would not harm each other they would
[28:35]not attack each other neither they conspire against each other and therefore
[28:40]whoever comes into an alliance with the Muslims is afraid to have
[28:48]an alliance with the Muslims whoever wants to have an alliance with
[28:51]the Jews also is a free to have an alliance with them
[28:53]but then unfortunately one tribe of the Jews they conspired against some
[29:03]of the allies of the Prophet not the Muslims but some of
[29:08]their Arab allies and the Prophet SAW in this as a threat
[29:17]a threat and a violation a violation to them to the pact
[29:21]and the peace treaty that he had with the people of the
[29:26]book the first to break that covenant and pledge in the air
[29:29]- after Hydra was the Jewish tribe of Bennington mocha they would
[29:34]pull off the hijab from the Muslim ladies in Medina and when
[29:40]they were warned about this they said well you know it's something
[29:44]that we wish to do and eventually when after several warnings they
[29:49]would not listen the Prophet expelled them so there was no killing
[29:52]whatsoever the Prophet expelled them to sham and they were no longer
[30:00]in Medina in the f4 after hijra the tribe of Abu Ben
[30:04]moon of the year assisted Abu Sufyan in the attempt to assassinate
[30:09]the prophet sallallaahu he wa sallam and in by doing that they
[30:13]committed treason of course they shouted around 200 soldiers of Abu sofyan
[30:22]in order to kill the Prophet and in one instance they threw
[30:26]a rock from the hill to land on the Prophet and jibra
[30:32]eel Ali Salam would ask the Prophet to move so that the
[30:34]rock would not fall unto Him and because of the treason that
[30:40]Benazir committed the prophet of islam then expelled them to the land
[30:43]of sham and some of them actually went to the land of
[30:46]kaiba upon settling down at hiber the balloon of air decided to
[30:55]seek revenge against the muslims they contacted the mackins and 20 leaders
[31:00]from the jews and 50 from the flesh made covenant they would
[31:04]fight prophet mohammed so long as they lived porridge they decided to
[31:12]wipe out the Prophet and his community and therefore they had an
[31:17]alliance with all the non-muslims in the region in the area and
[31:22]that number of this Alliance totaled 10,000 fighters they came from every
[31:29]direction when news of these preparations had reached Medina the Holy Prophet
[31:36]consulted his companions salman al-farsi advised to dig a trench on the
[31:40]unprotected side of medina the digging of the trench was commenced by
[31:48]the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and imam ali alehissalaam so the
[31:53]Prophet would also take part according to some narrations it took about
[31:57]24 days to dig this trench in perhaps the northwestern region of
[32:02]Medina which was exposed and it was around three kilometers as far
[32:11]as the width is concerned and the digging of the trench was
[32:16]finished three days before the army of the azaab the various parties
[32:19]that come together arrived on the outskirts of this they laid siege
[32:26]against the Muslims in the city of Medina and the Muslims obviously
[32:31]were outnumbered by Haresh and the Alliance which is called al ahzab
[32:36]the parties according to historical narrations the siege of Medina was for
[32:41]around 27 days other narrations say 21 days some say 15 or
[32:48]17 days irrespective supplies in Medina were being depleted there was widespread
[32:52]hunger one narration says that say the fatima salallahu alaihe one day
[33:00]brought some food to the Holy Prophet some bread she had baked
[33:02]and the Prophet said that this was something that the Prophet had
[33:05]not eaten for a number of days for three days he had
[33:10]not eaten anything and the prophets of Allah are you add wa
[33:14]salaam would place a rock on his holy abdomen the stomach to
[33:18]control the hunger due to the severity of the situation at that
[33:22]time and therefore it was an incredibly difficult time it was a
[33:28]very sensitive period for the Muslims a grave examination that the Quran
[33:33]speaks about he says who gnarly capitally almunawara you lose in zal
[33:37]and shalida it was a test for the believers and it as
[33:42]if they were shaken very ferociously we are told that Omar Abner
[33:45]with an armory would come over this trench and he would face
[33:52]the Muslims and he would famously say that you would come out
[33:55]to face me in one-to-one combat and one-to-one battle and of course
[34:01]the Muslims knew a merabh no Adel armory was a famous fighter
[34:06]and no one would dare to come out and face him and
[34:08]famously I would have no it would say that all Muslims you
[34:13]have been told by your prophet and by your religion that if
[34:17]you fight and you die then you have died in the way
[34:22]of Allah in the way of your God and you die a
[34:23]martyr and you gain paradise as you say and if you come
[34:29]out and kill me then you have also become victorious Amram Abdullah
[34:34]would recite slides of poetry while at the Bahaman and NIDA if
[34:40]you Jan koum Helmand mobilis I am tired of calling you and
[34:43]asking you for a jewel is there anyone who would come forward
[34:45]and of course the third time Amira McMinn would stand and him
[34:51]and the Prophet of Islam would call him towards him and would
[34:56]say to amirul mumineen would say to him how the cameramen abdill
[35:01]what is narrated by even hadith and Marta silly in his commentary
[35:08]of natural baraha and the Imam would say when our ally there
[35:11]was then the confrontation between I'm not knock the wood and the
[35:15]commander of the faithful Abdullah Abdullah wood was known as far as
[35:19]all Arab according to some scholars historians he was equal to one
[35:26]thousand horsemen such was his strength he was dead in bed ER
[35:30]he knew and even every dollop and his valor in the battle
[35:35]of better yet he would confront him in the jewel and when
[35:39]he struck the commander of the faithful on his head on his
[35:43]helmet causing his head also to bleed Imam Ali Salaam severed his
[35:48]legs and of course the people saw amaura Bogdan would fall onto
[35:53]the ground there was the jubilation of takbir from the Prophet and
[35:57]the Muslims but they noticed that the commander of the faithful would
[36:03]be walking back and forth and later they asked him why did
[36:05]you so he said when I came to finish him off he
[36:08]did two things he spat on my face and he cursed my
[36:13]mother and indeed at the heat of the moment anybody would have
[36:16]then finished that enemy of God and would have killed him but
[36:21]not Ali bin Abi Talib who wanted to ensure that his actions
[36:24]are purely for the sake of God and the sake of God
[36:31]alone it was the manifestation of sincerity and that's why the Prophet
[36:34]of Islam would say love arbitrarily in human conduct of volume in
[36:37]Nevada to thoroughly the strike of Ali on the day of hundre
[36:40]is better than the worship of the humans and the jinns combined
[36:47]and it's also telling us this hadith that the strike of is
[36:50]worth more than the worship of all ins and gin till the
[36:56]day of judgement it is telling us that if it wasn't for
[37:00]the strike of Allium Navy a pileup on the day of conduct
[37:03]there would be no religion today that is why the strike of
[37:06]Ali has kept the religion alive that is why we say the
[37:12]Battle of handle the Battle of al ahzab was a battle that
[37:17]was important for Muslims therefore every act of every Muslim whether it
[37:23]being a male or a female every act of race Allah every
[37:26]prayer every Psalm every fast every act of worship that they do
[37:35]from that day of conduct till today all we can say till
[37:38]the day of judgment if we put all these acts of worship
[37:43]on one side of the scale and we put the strike of
[37:45]Ali on the day of hand up on the other side of
[37:49]the scale the strike of Ali would be worth more why because
[37:55]of his sincerity then the entire army was dismantled and was broken
[38:00]away and the rest of them according to the Holy Quran the
[38:04]rest of the army you know run away they had only two
[38:09]casualties one of them was this hero which was killed by the
[38:12]sword of imam ali another person also was killed by the sword
[38:17]of him o ali and the rest of the army which totaled
[38:22]over 10,000 fighters they took off and they run away and god
[38:26]says in the holy quran what Calphalon momineen Alcatel God suffices the
[38:31]believers the party of the Prophet the fighting and he saved them
[38:36]the fighting the first if Lee was Abu Sufyan himself who was
[38:43]so upset but she tried to ride his camel without first untying
[38:46]its rope and the Muslims were joyous with this victory [Music] that
[39:16]was a monumental historic victory for the Muslims and a reflection in
[39:24]if you study Islamic history and the battles of the Holy Prophet
[39:27]you see this as such a critical juncture because everything after this
[39:31]was what was on the increase meaning a year later there was
[39:35]the treaty of hudaibiya then there was the conquest of Mecca and
[39:40]there was the battle of hunayn and Tabuk and there were all
[39:42]victories for the Muslims and that is why when we place it
[39:47]in the scale of things the Battle of Azhar was so integral
[39:50]so crucial and the actions of the commander of the faithful so
[39:55]important in preserving the religion of Islam [Music] [Music] the banishment of
[40:14]the Arab Jewish tribes of ba-da-da-da and Ballou kenapa from Medina had
[40:20]accentuated the animosity towards the Muslims these tribes had settled down as
[40:26]hiber the fortified place a distance of about 80 miles from Medina
[40:30]the tribes were instigating other tribes to join them in a conclusive
[40:34]assault upon the Muslim in the Battle of of Haifa which takes
[40:42]place of course in the seventh year after Hazara boy kovalam again
[40:49]is informed of the plot that there are some tribes from high
[40:57]bar who want to attack the city of Medina so preemptively the
[41:02]holy prophet's lamb marches to this place or these these orchards outside
[41:07]of Medina and he camps there when he comes there he sends
[41:17]in warriors to take over the fortresses and one by one people
[41:21]go and they take over the fortresses that have been created by
[41:24]these tribes several fortresses were attacked and they were freed however one
[41:32]of the main ones this was where the Prophet according to some
[41:40]narrations had some pain and was not able to take part and
[41:44]he gave first of all the leadership of the army the standard
[41:50]to the first caliph Abu Bakr who went and was not successful
[41:54]because the people there they were fighting and that fortress very very
[42:00]strongly he then gave the standard to the second Holly for Omaha
[42:10]kebab who also was unsuccessful we are told that in haber the
[42:13]holy prophet tells his companions after the Muslims have faced defeats in
[42:24]Haber and they could not conquer hey bar the Holy Prophet say
[42:28]is famously tomorrow I shall hand the flag or the flag that
[42:35]was carried for battle Araya to someone who is quran layer for
[42:40]are someone who was who goes face forward ahead into the battlefield
[42:46]into the battlefield and does not have a return from the battlefield
[42:51]unless he is victorious and so why the Muslims say we all
[42:59]slept that night wishing that we were that one person that the
[43:03]Holy Prophet would call to hand the flag so everyone is thinking
[43:05]that who is our going to be because I Lee is suffering
[43:09]from pain how can he go to to battle yet the Holy
[43:15]Prophet turns to one man once again as we have seen throughout
[43:17]his battles and that is his cousin his brother and his son-in-law
[43:22]Ali ABI talib the commander of faithfuls and he calls Ali of
[43:29]nebula Valley Salaam and he hands him the flag and Ali alehissalaam
[43:31]goes into high bar when he approached the gate of high bar
[43:35]this main gate we are told that a man by the name
[43:41]of Abby Rafa who is a mola 7 to 13 said that
[43:42]we were all together eight of us and we tried to dislodge
[43:47]this gate and we were not able to but we saw an
[43:51]even ABI talib dislodge it himself Ameer al-mumineen would confront a man
[43:54]by the name of Marhaba who was also quite well known as
[44:00]a fighter amongst the Jews of high bar and Marhaba would then
[44:04]I asked Ali about who he was any mom would say I
[44:11]am the one whom my mother named me Haider muhammad hamdi feeds
[44:15]him he takes off the the fortress of gamos and he goes
[44:23]inside and Marhaba has other brothers as well and tarantara so on
[44:26]and so forth anymore a Reuters herself defeats all of them and
[44:29]then the higher bar or the area of the region or the
[44:37]orchards that make up about come under Muslim control the following year
[44:52]the Muslims finally returned to their homes in Makkah this was known
[44:56]as the conquest of Makkah by the Muslims and the Quraysh feared
[45:02]that their blood will be shed upon the entrance of the Muslim
[45:05]army the conquest of Mecca was the most peaceful expedition during the
[45:16]life of the Prophet peace be upon the Prophet took about 10,000
[45:23]soldier from Medina all the way to Mecca and one perish realized
[45:27]that Muhammad peace be upon him is coming to them with this
[45:32]a huge number they said we cannot resist him definitely we cannot
[45:36]we see that the Holy Prophet of Islam is granted with this
[45:40]Fattah with it with this victory without fighting he comes back into
[45:49]Mecca after eight years having lived in Medina not being allowed and
[45:53]entitled to enter into Mackay even to perform pilgrimage even to perform
[45:58]hajj or umrah and when he returns back there there's ten thousand
[46:03]Muslims now and ten thousand amongst the ten thousand Muslims some of
[46:06]them become excited and they say that today is the day of
[46:11]revenge today's the day we're going to take revenge against all the
[46:14]things that the Mekons did to us and the Holy Prophet hears
[46:19]this and he he corrects the person and he says no today
[46:23]is not the day of range but rather aliawan Mohammed today is
[46:29]the day of mercy and there was a negotiation between al-abbas even
[46:35]Abdul Mutallab the uncle of the Prophet and Abu Sufyan was the
[46:40]main you know leader from the Macan side and a labas said
[46:48]to him listen I was Sophia you cannot resist this army this
[46:51]is a huge army so it's better for you and the mackins
[46:55]to put down your weapons and I will guarantee that my my
[47:02]my nephew Muhammad would never hurt any any person the next day
[47:06]was the day in which Abu Sufyan was made to witness the
[47:11]army enter Mecca and the Prophet of Islam entered Mecca in the
[47:15]most humble and simple of ways he entered Mecca with head down
[47:23]he eventually dismounted and went into such day thanking Allah Subhanahu WA
[47:28]Ta'ala and one of the first things that he did with the
[47:33]commander of the faithful and even a bit parvati sallam was he
[47:36]went inside the Kaaba where there was approximately 360 idols and there
[47:41]were also drawings of prophets on the walls so he destroyed all
[47:48]the idols except the largest one Hoban in which then he asks
[47:52]amirul mumineen to stand on his shoulders and by the recitation of
[47:55]the Aaronic verse local jah-el Haku as a Huckle battle in the
[47:59]battle a car as a hawker say the truth has emerged and
[48:03]the falsehood has been defeated surely the truth will always defeat the
[48:08]falsehood the final idol was completely destroyed when he spoke to the
[48:15]people of Mecca remembering that the people of Mecca had persecuted him
[48:20]had taken his rights away had executed and killed some of his
[48:24]companions had tortured some others the Prophet would say to them what
[48:30]do you think I should do with you now they say a
[48:32]hoan kiem what a hand cream we know you you are the
[48:37]son of a generous man and you are indeed quite magnanimous the
[48:40]Prophet would say if hobble phantom Apple ahah go you are free
[48:46]our individuals were being freed by the Prophet himself banal and harbor
[48:51]she would then stand on the roof of the Kaaba and recite
[48:53]the Adhan and rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam would then lead the salah
[48:59]and indeed would then same and d'holiday ABI Sufyan for who are
[49:02]men I'm Anika Baba who fahara Armin it was all about preservation
[49:05]of life he say whoever goes to the house of Abu Sufyan
[49:09]is safe / comes to the mosque is safe or that closes
[49:11]his door and remains in his house is safe and the Prophet
[49:17]then remained in mecca for a few days the ants are the
[49:19]helpers from medina where somehow worried that the Prophet would then shift
[49:26]the center of the Islamic state to Mecca whereas the Prophet would
[49:32]say no I'm returning to Medina but he saw the fulfillment of
[49:37]the prophets promise of the Almighty subhanaw taala because when he had
[49:42]to migrate from Mecca to Medina there was tears coming down from
[49:45]his eyes and allah subhanaw taala revealed the verse in melody forever
[49:49]allah quran narada do ke la Mahad the one who has revealed
[49:55]the Quran upon you will definitely return you back to your place
[49:59]of birth today muslims must follow the lifestyle and teachings of the
[50:05]prophet of islam and take him as an example when living in
[50:11]a multicultural society the holy prophet muhammad was a man of principle
[50:16]who always sought towards a peaceful discourse the Prophet had many peace
[50:25]treaties with different tribes in when he was in Medina some of
[50:30]it was with boorish like soulful hood ABA the peace treaty of
[50:38]hudaibiya some of it was with the Jews and with other tribes
[50:41]too but then part of these conditions within these peace treaties was
[50:48]if there was a violation if someone either party either the Muslims
[50:57]or the non-muslims if they break this treaty and this pact then
[51:02]that means it's the end of the ceasefire and the other side
[51:06]has the right to defend himself and this is exactly what happened
[51:13]when Harish violated that you know peace treaty the Hadiya then the
[51:17]Prophet decided to go and conquer Makkah when the people of the
[51:23]book the Jews they violated that peace treaty between them and muhammad
[51:28]sallallahu wasallam then the Prophet decided to go to Haber so it
[51:32]wasn't the Prophet was not an opportunist person whenever he is weak
[51:38]he will sign a peace treaty and whenever he becomes strong he
[51:44]will go on attack his enemies he would not do that Prophet
[51:48]Mohammed was a man of principles and values and he will stand
[51:54]to his work but the problem when the other side violates any
[51:58]breach this peace treaty then it would no longer stand and therefore
[52:04]the Prophet had to defend the interest of his community it was
[52:12]not about conquering the world and killing people who did not accept
[52:16]what you said it was very much about defending that nascent community
[52:19]and it was about giving people the options and to understand what
[52:24]this faith was and not to impede the possibility of people to
[52:30]come to that faith this was a very important issue and this
[52:36]is also why in often when there were elements of the truce
[52:39]as you know and in her they be and other truces the
[52:45]conditions which were laid on were often rather unfavorable to the early
[52:49]Muslims and one of the reasons quite obviously in which almost everyone
[52:53]from a theological perspective but also in sacred history terms says is
[52:59]the unfavorable terms were very much about allowing people to live with
[53:07]hardship but also their very presence would have an impact in those
[53:11]communities which were not yet very familiar with what Islam was so
[53:15]it wasn't just the case of cutting those people off and leaving
[53:20]them on their own because I think there was very much a
[53:25]clear sense that even if they were in hardship you know God
[53:29]was still with them the Prophet was still with them and in
[53:32]the long term that would work out and that's precisely what we
[53:35]see working out when Mecca is conquered conquered and most of the
[53:40]tribes in Arabia then [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music]
