[0:00]team um foreign thank you foreign [Music] [Music] foreign cabin [Laughter] [Music]
[2:54]thank you foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign foreign it is too
[4:56]often that we see in societies and in different cultures that the
[5:03]role of woman is undermined this is something that you see in
[5:09]ancient civilizations pre-islamic Arabia and in other civilizations the Romans the Chinese
[5:19]the Persians many other cultures used to undermine the role of women
[5:25]you find in many cases female were treated women were treated as
[5:32]second and third class citizens and they were not given their rights
[5:36]and they were not given the respect that they deserve and the
[5:42]Quran sheds light to how some of the pre-islamic Arabs would treat
[5:49]their daughters and would treat women in their lives for some when
[5:53]they had a daughter in the pre-islamic Arabs when they had a
[5:58]daughter they would feel the shame they would feel as if something
[6:02]horrible has happened to them and Allah mentions this in the Quran
[6:12]when they tell him your wife has just given birth to a
[6:19]female then they would become angry they would become upset they would
[6:27]try to hide their face from people around them because of the
[6:31]bad news that they just deserved should he hold on to this
[6:38]daughter with shame or should he bury this news and bury this
[6:46]newborn child and the soil and this is something that was somewhat
[6:52]common meaning that they would bury a newborn as soon as the
[6:57]child is born if they find out that they don't want this
[7:00]child they would bury this child and they would kill the child
[7:04]basically and Allah talks about this in another verse in the Quran
[7:12]the one who is buried alive the one who has been killed
[7:17]she asks on the day of judgment why is it that I
[7:21]was killed why is it that I didn't give get a chance
[7:27]to live when Allah is The Giver of Life now of course
[7:29]we're talking about these ancient civilizations that used to do this one
[7:33]of the reasons was because they were afraid of poverty they were
[7:38]afraid that they're going to be poverty and Allah says in the
[7:41]Quran do not kill your children because you're afraid of poverty the
[7:52]razak the sustenance came to you and it also comes to your
[7:55]children as well the same way God gave you God is going
[7:58]to give your children some people think that they are the ones
[8:00]who give the razak now ironically we're talking about this thousands of
[8:08]years ago it used to happen but until today abortion is something
[8:12]that is very common and of course there are many reasons why
[8:19]sometimes people abort sometimes in very very rare cases it could be
[8:23]justified for example if a lady has been raped if a lady
[8:29]has been assaulted and this causes extreme type of pain and her
[8:33]life is going to become miserable it becomes haraj some Scholars say
[8:36]perhaps in some cases it would be allowed but most cases it's
[8:43]not because of assault it's not because of rape it's not because
[8:46]of these reasons that are mentioned it's because I it's not convenient
[8:49]for me I don't want to live my life right now I
[8:53]don't want to have to deal with this child right now or
[8:54]because I'm afraid of poverty so the same reasons the same reasons
[9:00]that used to take place hundreds and thousands of years ago now
[9:04]we see that one of the main teachings that the religion of
[9:09]Islam brought in the Quran brought is respect for genders male and
[9:18]female they're both equal in the eyes of Allah you know unfortunately
[9:22]today why do we have this big problem where some people they
[9:26]have a gender identity crisis some guys they want to change themselves
[9:30]into women or some woman they want to change themselves into men
[9:34]because Society has put in the minds of people that one gender
[9:40]is superior to other that one gender is better than another and
[9:44]people they they have this insecurity so they say no then in
[9:47]order for me to be respected in order for me to feel
[9:52]my sta my self-worth I have to come and change my gender
[9:58]when Allah says verily the best in the eyes of God is
[10:11]the one that has the most Allah does not favor men over
[10:16]women and Allah does not favor women over men today there are
[10:20]some people either they say some races are better the white race
[10:23]is better than the black race for example or the black race
[10:29]is better than the white race or the German the the are
[10:32]the the German race is better during Hitler's time so you see
[10:38]that this type of thinking this is negative Allah says there's no
[10:42]races there's no gender no age whatever it is you're all equal
[10:47]in the eyes of Allah and this is the beauty of Islam
[10:49]this is one of the reasons Islam is such an attractive religion
[10:54]however we see some Muslims they pray five times a day they
[11:00]go to Hajj maybe they praise they give their homes and their
[11:04]zakats and they do everything but there are still some things that
[11:07]they don't follow a hundred percent when it comes to the Quran
[11:10]you find some cultures today religious people they discriminate between their sons
[11:17]and their daughters they discriminate between men and women have you seen
[11:22]this before this is very common even with religious people it happens
[11:26]and for example I think most of the women will agree with
[11:32]this if a lady if a boy misbehaves they say malish you
[11:35]know he's a he's a boy it's okay they have to misbehave
[11:39]otherwise he's not going to be a he's not going to be
[11:42]a boy but if a girl does something wrong then it's the
[11:45]end of the world this is also not right and now of
[11:49]course as a parent the parent is supposed to be vigilant with
[11:52]both their sons and their daughters yes we understand and we comprehend
[11:55]that you have to be extra secure over your daughters because the
[12:01]chances of assault because of the chances of pain the consequences could
[12:06]be more severe but that does not mean that some people they
[12:10]say you know what my son let him do whatever he wants
[12:14]it doesn't matter I'll let my son do whatever he wants come
[12:17]back home at 2AM come back home 3 A.M whatever it does
[12:21]it doesn't matter he's a boy it's okay he's a man some
[12:24]people have the ideology so this is wrong when it comes to
[12:30]raising and disciplining your sons and daughters they have to be treated
[12:34]equally now sometimes as we understand the circumstances are different and we
[12:40]have a Hadith we have narrations that talk about the value of
[12:45]raising daughters today we want to talk about raising daughters because we're
[12:49]going to talk a little bit about the life of sukena the
[12:51]daughter of Imam Hussain who According to some narrations today is her
[12:56]death anniversary the daughter of Imam al-qadam and the sister of Imam
[13:02]who also these days and several of the daughters of the Elizabeth
[13:06]they had a very important role and we see that there is
[13:11]uh there is a reward in raising if someone is able to
[13:17]raise their daughters properly in a good way there's such a huge
[13:23]reward for that because Society they used to look at having as
[13:26]a daughter as have a burden this is a burden on your
[13:30]shoulder what am I going to do with this so rasulullah he
[13:32]would say I am the father of daughters rasulullah did not have
[13:37]sons rasulullah had daughters and he was and we see other prophets
[13:43]they also were prophets that had daughters if someone raises three daughters
[13:59]three daughters raising them properly Jannah Paradise becomes Paradise becomes obligatory upon
[14:08]this person Allah what if someone raised two daughters two daughters you
[14:16]raise them in a good manner they they pray they fast they
[14:20]do everything correctly foreign what about if someone raised one daughter in
[14:32]a good way in a perfect way where she she grows up
[14:39]protecting her majesty her Chastity her faith meaning that even if you
[14:46]are able to raise one daughter you raise her properly then heaven
[14:51]will become wajib upon you um having daughters is a hasana and
[15:03]having having Sons it's a blessing you receive the reward as soon
[15:13]as you have a daughter but having Sons you're going to be
[15:20]asked about of course we understand from this Hadith Allah if you
[15:24]raise Sons or daughters if you raise them properly you receive the
[15:28]reward but the reward that you receive for the daughter you will
[15:31]receive it right away you will receive it right away so we
[15:38]see that there's a lot of encouragement in the Islamic literature and
[15:46]the Hadith of the bait of raising daughters and having daughters you
[15:50]know today you see some people for example if they found out
[15:53]they were doing the gender reveal these you know you see all
[15:59]of these videos on YouTube on gender reveals a lot of times
[16:02]accidents happen in this as well sometimes you see some people they
[16:08]get very disappointed they find out that they're having a daughter they
[16:11]find out that they're having a son suddenly they see that you
[16:14]see that their face they start frowning they become upset and they
[16:19]their mood just changes you have to know that whatever Allah gives
[16:23]you some people Allah gives them Sons Allah says in the Quran
[16:30]some people Allah gives them Sons some people Allah gives them daughters
[16:36]and some people Allah gives them both and some people Allah does
[16:40]not give them Allah knows what is what is the best believe
[16:47]me we have a lot of narrations from rasulullah from the acid
[16:54]bait sometimes we complain about why did God do this to me
[16:56]and why did God not do this to someone else why did
[16:59]God make someone rich and why did God make someone poor for
[17:02]example there is Hadith it says that Allah made this person Rich
[17:05]because Allah knows that the only way this person will be on
[17:12]the right track is if this person has money and another person
[17:14]these are Menin these are believers that God wants to bless their
[17:17]lives and sometimes another person Allah kept them limited having less income
[17:22]because Allah knows that the only way this person will be today
[17:27]in person is if they have less money or the moment they
[17:32]have more money than they might probably turn away from Allah so
[17:35]Allah knows what's best and we should always say alhamdulillah for whatever
[17:41]Allah has given us and we should not question the will of
[17:46]Allah now we see that the role of daughters you see the
[17:50]prophets they had daughters and there were other prophets there were other
[17:58]prophets that are mentioned in the Quran that had daughters one of
[18:02]them is Prophet saw aib prophet sawib he had two daughters he
[18:09]didn't have any sons and Allah sent for him Musa runs away
[18:17]he's a fugitive he runs away from Egypt and he is running
[18:23]away he needs a place he needs shelter he goes to a
[18:26]place a watering well Allah mentions the story in the Quran he
[18:29]sees people they're collecting water and there's these two young daughters these
[18:32]two young ladies they're not getting near the water because there's so
[18:37]many men there he was strong he comes in with one hand
[18:40]he pulls the water out and he gives them the water and
[18:44]they go and they take the water then the daughter of the
[18:51]two daughters of shribe they go back to their father and they
[18:53]tell him we found this young man he looked Pious he looked
[18:58]very religious then one of them he sends one of his daughters
[19:17]afraid he had nowhere to go these two daughters because he helped
[19:21]them because he he was there for them he supported them he
[19:26]did an act of kindness Allah brought him to shaib and he
[19:32]lived under the protection of and he marries one of the daughters
[19:42]one of the daughters of she tells her father let him work
[19:47]for you because he seems like he's an honest person he's a
[19:49]good person these are two qualities if you want to have someone
[20:00]as for example for your daughters to marry or someone to work
[20:04]for you someone to to have these are two qualities I mean
[20:09]someone who's trustworthy and someone who also is strong strong in personality
[20:14]strong and strong in character and like Prophet Musa strong and muscles
[20:20]as well something we don't have so here we see that we
[20:24]see that the prophets they had daughters he also was a father
[20:34]of a daughter you look look at the role of Fatima Fatima
[20:37]Today some people they say you know the the daughters of the
[20:43]prophets they were just in the house no one knows them no
[20:45]one no one hears their voice no one knows anything about them
[20:49]they have no influential role in society and Community that's not true
[20:52]look at the daughters of they're the ones who brought Musa to
[20:57]Prophet Allah talks about Imran while she's modest while no one sees
[21:11]her no one sees her she has the modesty and the Chastity
[21:13]but at the same time she has The Bravery where do you
[21:17]find this it's really hard to find someone that is able to
[21:19]have both of these usually if someone has bravery and they come
[21:25]out they might lose on their modesty was able to have both
[21:29]and this is why Fatima had a very important role in the
[21:33]community and Society during the life of rasulullah she was a teacher
[21:37]she was an educator she was a person that would give sadaka
[21:40]and charity and teach people and after the life of rasulullah after
[21:43]the death of the Prophet these days last week we mentioned these
[21:48]days are the days she would come out and she would speak
[21:54]she came out and she spoke several times one time she goes
[21:59]to the houses of the foreign and the ansar they came to
[22:20]visit her and bukhari bukhari mentions she died while she was angry
[22:28]with Abu Bakr meaning that this was such a big thing but
[22:32]such a big event that bukhari mentions it and she made it
[22:37]very clear there's Hadith that says they came to visit her they
[22:40]came to try to seek her acceptance and she would turn her
[22:45]face and she would not she would she would not want to
[22:47]welcome them and not want to see them and of course the
[22:52]same bukhari also mentions my dissatisfaction and the pleasure of Fatima and
[23:03]Allah has angered by the anger of Fatima now we see another
[23:07]daughter the daughter of this past two months we're remembering the role
[23:18]of the family of Imam Hussain and Imam Hussain and all of
[23:21]that we would not have known anything about Imam Hussain if it
[23:25]was not for zainab there came a Time where people could not
[23:31]say why because they would punish anyone who mentions the name of
[23:38]Imam Ali it was sanctioned you can't say the name of so
[23:42]what would they say the people when they want to say this
[23:45]is the Hadith from Amir they would say now on the fifth
[24:08]of a day a day like yesterday or today is the death
[24:14]anniversary of Hussain now of course she was a very Pious lady
[24:27]a very great lady and she lived after Imam Hussain she lived
[24:32]until year 117 after hijrat that means she lived 56 years after
[24:36]Ashura and she lived to tell the story of Imam Hussain of
[24:41]course there's another there's other daughters of Imam Hussain one of them
[24:45]which she died in sham then there's Fatima Hussain there's other daughters
[24:50]of Imam Hussain but from the greatest of the daughters of Imam
[24:53]Hussain According to some narrations was Hussein he truly loved her there's
[25:02]her mother was and there's a there's a Hadith or there's a
[25:11]poem from Imam Hussain in which he says he says by your
[25:27]life I love a home that has I love them and I
[25:34]give all my wealth and no one could come and blame me
[25:39]for spending on them now according to narrations her name was probably
[25:44]Amina or Amina and sukena is the kunya the imams of the
[25:52]alibate they would give sometimes you see some of the mothers of
[25:55]the imams they have a name and they have a kunya what's
[26:01]up something that they are known by for example um some imams
[26:11]they have a kunya and some people it's must have to call
[26:16]even your your children or whatever give them a kunya as well
[26:20]so the kunya of mean s from sukoon Tranquility because she was
[26:30]so calm she was so calm she was so tranquil that is
[26:37]because she had that sukun in her and there's an interesting Hadith
[26:43]I read today it says that one of the sons of Imam
[26:49]al-hasan alaihissalam he comes after the death of Imam al-hassan this is
[26:56]he comes to Imam Al Hussain asking to marry one of his
[27:02]daughters Fatima or sukena there's two daughters Fatima and sukina so al-hasan
[27:09]he comes to Imam Hussain he tells them I want to marry
[27:11]one of your daughters he's his uncle and he comes and he
[27:13]wants to marry him so Imam Hussein he tells him he tells
[27:24]him Mary Fatima and he ended up marrying Fatima Hussein because she
[27:35]resembles my mother Fatima he says Mary Fatima because she resembles my
[27:41]mother Fatima Amma feed as for her faith the whole night she
[27:54]is praying and worshiping and during the day she is fasting and
[28:02]in her looks she resembles the that is how she how much
[28:10]she's how beautiful she is then he says as for my daughters
[28:22]she is drowning in her love and attachment to Allah so she
[28:29]is not wife material basically look at the look at the Fatima
[28:32]she's praying her whole night and she is worshiping she is she
[28:38]is marry her but as for sukhaina meaning that sukhena is even
[28:44]a level further than what Fatima is going even a level further
[28:48]than that so there was a quote we see that there was
[28:52]a close attachment between Imam Hussain and sukena and in his last
[28:59]words and saying farewell he saws okina crying on the day of
[29:03]Ashura and he tells her saying foreign these are the words of
[29:32]farewell had with his daughters okay and of course she delivered sermons
[29:37]in kufa and and Sham and later on she lived many years
[29:42]telling the story of Imam another daughter of the imams we're talking
[29:48]about the daughters of the al-bait is a very great and Pious
[29:57]lady she is buried in calm calm and that is over 30
[30:11]some children but these two Fatima and matsuma and Imam they shared
[30:19]the same mother and of course their father is Imam al-qadam this
[30:24]great lady she died when she was 28 years old she migrate
[30:30]she came all the way from Medina she she was traveling to
[30:34]go to Horizon to go see Imam because Imam the last couple
[30:39]years of his life he was forced to live in Exile he
[30:44]was forced to live in in uh in so she was going
[30:47]to see her brother and on the way and come that is
[30:52]where she passed away at the age of 28.
[30:56]now subhanallah sometimes some people their lives no one knows anything about
[31:01]their lives but Allah gives that Karama Allah puts that blessing this
[31:07]lady said all of the scholars and the Maharaja and the ulama
[31:10]those who live in home every day they go and they visit
[31:17]her Shrine and they all feel the blessings of being every day
[31:23]we would go before the class and after the class we would
[31:29]go and we would visit the the grave and the shrine and
[31:32]there's a Hadith there's narrations whoever visits of course here whenever you
[31:46]see this Hadith whoever does this they have Paradise Whoever has three
[31:49]daughters or two daughters or one daughter and all these that we
[31:52]mentioned this doesn't mean that this is just that's all that you
[31:56]need no but this is one of the conditions this is one
[32:00]of the means to Paradise so one of the means is the
[32:03]ziara of Masuma and another Hadith says whoever visits the grave of
[32:18]my aunt and Gom and he knows and she knows their haq
[32:21]and the role then this person has the paradise and she is
[32:28]known as this is one of the titles that is given to
[32:32]asaida Fatima in a few days we will be commemorating the shahada
[32:40]anniversary of Imam and in the house of Imam al-ascari there were
[32:49]also women and there was a lady that played a very important
[32:52]role in the birth of his son Imam and Mahdi and this
[32:57]is hakima hakima she is the daughter of Imam the daughter of
[33:05]Imam al-jawad and the sister of Imam al-hadi the um the aunt
[33:10]of Imam she is a daughter of an Imam a sister of
[33:15]an Imam the aunt of an Imam when the Imam when the
[33:20]12th Imam was born akima was there and she narrates the the
[33:24]tradition and the events that took place in the birth of Imam
[33:31]Allah in the birth of Imam al-madi she says I was at
[33:37]the house of my my nephew on the eve of the 15th
[33:39]of sha ban and I was about to leave he tells me
[33:42]stay oh my dear Aunt stay because tonight is going to be
[33:49]born she says who I don't see any signs of pregnancy she
[33:53]tells her not just is pregnant she didn't know now she is
[33:58]a lady and she sees not just all the time but she
[34:03]didn't know so he tells her yes Allah has hid the pregnancy
[34:07]of not just the same way Allah the pregnancy of the mother
[34:14]of Musa the mother of prophet Musa no one was able to
[34:17]tell that she was pregnant until she gave birth they couldn't tell
[34:23]because they were trying to the the Israelites were trying to kill
[34:26]any newborn child that was born and this was the same that
[34:32]benil Abbas they were doing with the son of Imam alaskar this
[34:35]is why Salam passed away and he passes away in the year
[34:45]260 after Hijra on the 8th of the eighth of also in
[34:49]a few days we commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-hassan the
[34:55]narration says that he was poisoned he was poisoned by the Abbas
[35:01]Khalifa and as soon as the Imam alaihissalam showed signs that he
[35:05]is ill as soon as he showed sign signs of illness the
[35:12]Khalifa he sent guards and spies in the house of the Imam
[35:14]of course the Imam was living in Samara under house arrest right
[35:19]by the Palace of the of the Khalifa at that time because
[35:21]they were monitoring the Imam as soon as he showed signs of
[35:27]illness he sent these guards 24 hours there in the house of
[35:30]the Imam he says they're they're doctors they're coming to take care
[35:32]of you but of course they were spies so they were there
[35:38]so because they wanted to know who is going to be the
[35:43]next person after Imam al-askar when he dies who's going to be
[35:46]the next person that's going to be the Imam who are the
[35:50]Shia going to follow after so they were there monitoring and several
[35:54]days about a week passes until the 8th of Allah was passing
[35:59]away the narration says that he was able to leave them and
[36:04]he goes in a room and he goes into that room where
[36:06]his youngest son or his his only son Imam al-mahdi was there
[36:11]and no one had seen him he was in algebra even in
[36:14]the house of the Imam people did not know that there's this
[36:18]child in the house and the Imam alaihissalam passes away passes away
[36:23]then of course they come and they wash the body of the
[36:27]Imam and they're ready to do the Salah the Hadith says that
[36:29]the uncle the brother of Imam al-ascari the uncle of Imam and
[36:36]Matthew his name is jaffar and they call him the liar and
[36:38]this shows that sometimes you could be the son of an Imam
[36:42]the brother of an Imam but you could be astray jaffar he
[36:45]comes and he wants to lead the prayer and the house of
[36:50]the Imam he wants to lead the prayer over the janaza they
[36:54]say that this young child the five-year-old child who was Imam he
[36:58]comes and he pushes him away gently and he tells him it
[37:01]is my right to pray over my father and he does the
[37:05]Salah and he goes away he goes away they follow him they
[37:11]can't see him and that begins his occultation began immediately after the
[37:20]death of Imam and then they were unable to see him and
[37:29]these these were some of the events that took place in the
[37:33]shahada of Imam al-hasan we ask Allah to grant us the ziara
[37:43]and the shafara of the imams and the family of the imams
