[0:00]Salam alaikum o Allah o Brocato tonight's discussion will remain consistent with
[0:09]the overall theme of this month and the subjects that were highlighted
[0:12]in the last three Friday night programs and that is the subject
[0:15]of love specifically building a love for God therefore let's begin tonight's
[0:22]discussion by honoring the three manifestations of love allah rasool allah and
[0:28]the annual date by beginning with bismillah r-rahman r-rahim al-hamdu lillahi rabbil
[0:35]alameen wa sallahu wa l-mursalin muhammadin wa ala elevated he at the
[0:43]e-beam of Allah illallah muhammadan remember the discussion concerning love is a
[0:52]significant but complicated discussion to have for centuries many great thinkers have
[0:55]attempted to define explain analyze the concept of love many have promoted
[1:05]and put forth various formulas on how to love how to be
[1:08]loved where to find love what to do with love and so
[1:13]on and so forth in fact there is not one time if
[1:15]we look in history in which the concept of love wasn't emphasized
[1:20]you look at the Greeks in Greek mythology have dedicated a god
[1:24]for love eros likewise of the Romans in Roman mythology have dedicated
[1:28]a God for love Cupid throughout antiquity and the medieval ages as
[1:33]up until modernity and in the future as well one may assume
[1:39]the concept of love will always be emphasized however when we look
[1:42]at the definition of love as seen through historic lenses we find
[1:48]a pattern emerging that as time progresses so does the definition of
[1:53]love so much so that love has underwent an evolution in fact
[1:58]today millions of people worldwide celebrate a day in which they emphasize
[2:03]on the concept of love Valentine's Day which was just a few
[2:08]days ago from the outset this would seem like an achievement an
[2:12]accolade for humankind a day in which we can all come together
[2:14]and become more loving with one another this sounds good but the
[2:19]reality of the matter is it's a bit faulty why because today
[2:22]love is now industrialized that the definition of love is now synonymous
[2:27]with significant others with a relationship boyfriend and girlfriend man and wife
[2:34]mr.
[2:34]perfect has to find mrs.
[2:36]perfect it's as if that's the only definition that love-in tells from
[2:41]the monolith of definitions that it inculcates altogether the problem with that
[2:46]is when you say that love equates to a significant other or
[2:52]another person in your life however the problem there creates an issue
[2:56]within that if love equals somebody else what are we always told
[3:02]love isn't everything it's the only thing if I don't have love
[3:05]then I have nothing you see this evolution as to how this
[3:08]definition has now became a bit more altered in fact there are
[3:13]tons of services out there that are that were created to cater
[3:17]to this craving that one may have the craving of fulfilling a
[3:20]need there's a void in the heart that has the word love
[3:23]written on top of it it's empty I need to fill it
[3:27]with something mainstream media today will suggest that you can only fill
[3:30]it with another person an intimate relationship to be specific a significant
[3:34]other because why is it the is it the case that's when
[3:39]we were asked you know in high school or even as early
[3:41]as in middle school its celebrated the idea of having a Valentine
[3:46]explain what does that mean I mean someone who you love okay
[3:48]I love my parents but no no it can't be your parents
[3:51]I still has to be a significant other okay I love my
[3:53]friends no it has to be someone you're interested in it's as
[3:57]if love is only synonymous with that understanding that's one portion of
[4:03]the overall understanding of love because it's fundamental otherwise Islam would not
[4:07]have made marriage the completion of half of your religion but that's
[4:12]one small aspect of it there are other elements to the definition
[4:16]of what the concept of love intel's loving human rights loving your
[4:20]friends loving your family loving what you would love for your friend
[4:24]that which you would love for yourself the narration holy prophet how
[4:28]bleak come out to happily enough sick love for your friend my
[4:31]person once asked me a few days ago when you find this
[4:36]these words I think you don't really find Arctic right so animal
[4:40]me known it for hope Lilith eek where are the sisters involved
[4:46]the Arabic language is interesting in that euphemism is always put into
[4:49]the language it's very ambiguous I think also in tells the sisters
[4:55]like Imam Ali would say and now Sioux sling fan I'm a
[5:00]horn like a 15 he said Ana's nice people people in Tel
[5:03]females are Mel's but then he says my alcoholic Everdeen either your
[5:06]brother in religion or your ego in humanity when he says brother
[5:12]obviously he includes the sisters in that as well love for your
[5:15]brother or sister that which you would love for yourself and then
[5:19]you find these services which were established to cater to this craving
[5:25]of trying to satisfy that void the emptiness in my heart websites
[5:28]matchmaking websites applications on the cell phone that will show you people
[5:33]in your local area and if they have similar interests what do
[5:35]you do you swipe which way but the idea is people have
[5:43]succumbed to this understanding that in order to fulfill the void I
[5:47]have to find somebody in my life what is wrong with this
[5:52]definition the error that lies in this understanding is if you don't
[5:56]have it now everybody has a particular significant other at all times
[6:01]and a significant other even if they are present will not last
[6:07]forever it's a and finite love it's a limited source of love
[6:10]you need to fulfill it with an unlimited source of love come
[6:13]the month of February dating websites receive 50% more traffic than they
[6:20]do in relation to every other month of the year why because
[6:24]there's this expectation that if I cannot expectation produced by what the
[6:29]mainstream media that if I cannot find love in my life with
[6:31]this mindset that love isn't everything is the only thing then I
[6:37]fell as a human being 50% more traffic to dating websites that
[6:40]- anxiety you're still thinking maybe perhaps I'll find somebody come Valentine's
[6:45]Day and if you don't find somebody come Valentine's Day that leads
[6:48]to stress one thing leads to another leads to depression and depression
[6:53]is a serious mental health issue it's the domino effect because mainstream
[6:59]media has really done a great job altering the definition and understanding
[7:02]of love and this leads to two different types of extremes one
[7:06]is yes depression which as we mentioned is a serious mental health
[7:11]issue that needs direct attention immediate attention but many many times unfortunate
[7:20]examples occur in the United States alone alone the one of the
[7:25]top ten reasons for suicide is rejection where people feel like if
[7:30]they haven't satisfied that void in the heart then I have nothing
[7:34]to live for because I was taught love isn't everything it's the
[7:39]only thing therefore there's no purpose to life anymore rejection leads to
[7:43]the unfortunate case in which one may opt to taking away their
[7:46]own life that's one poor example another is an extreme example also
[7:51]extreme but more intense where you don't just take yourself down you
[7:58]take others down with you if I can't have it nobody can
[8:01]and you have unfortunate cases like back in 2014 in California that
[8:06]psychopath because nobody would no girl would date him he decided to
[8:11]kill six different people and then he ultimately killed himself rejection led
[8:15]to this idea I'm always getting rejected nobody wants me you know
[8:19]what if I'm going down I'm taking down as much as many
[8:24]people as I can with that how do we come and straight
[8:26]this idea forward make it clear make it crystal and fix this
[8:33]mindset that hold on yes a significant other is fundamental yes it's
[8:37]important to have someone who cares about you in life but don't
[8:40]limit your understanding of love to just that because let's be as
[8:47]Frank as possible will they always be there no children go up
[8:50]knowing that eventually one day my mother who was like a source
[8:53]of love to me will not be there forever they're taught that
[8:56]at an early age when they hear about loved ones passing away
[9:01]our friends are that are no longer around yes that's a source
[9:04]of love to that little child's life but the day it's gone
[9:07]that source of love you have that void how then do you
[9:12]fill that void you have to fill it with an unlimited source
[9:14]of love an infinite source of love a love that is not
[9:19]finite where do we find an unlimited source of love an idea
[9:22]respected brothers and sisters as cliche as it may sound a la
[9:27]spada hotel because allah and who curse of substantiates that claim allah
[9:31]will provide you a source of love like no other as the
[9:37]dawn and the holy month of ramadan on the day of the
[9:39]night of power Dodge Ocean el kebir will indicate ya habiba mela
[9:46]habib allah all my love who needs no love the idea that
[9:49]Allah is the unlimited source of love comes from the ladder who
[9:54]needs no love when you have too much of something you don't
[9:56]need anymore a billionaire will not bother to pick up $100 on
[9:59]the floor to them that's like a nickel why would I have
[10:04]an abundant source of it Allah an unlimited source of love yeah-ha
[10:08]be them and not happy that oh the love who needs no
[10:12]love but the thing is Allah out of his utmost mercy and
[10:15]passion decided to love us even though he doesn't need us get
[10:21]that he loves you he doesn't need you we generally love people
[10:24]nine times out of ten a consequential love due to your favor
[10:28]I now love you a baby looks at its mother you've taken
[10:32]really good care of me you fed me you've cleaned me I
[10:35]love you now because mothers are wonderful examples as the epitome of
[10:40]love but let's be frank there are bad mothers out there and
[10:43]children grow up not liking their moms or even caring about them
[10:48]but the overall idea is there is an unlimited source that will
[10:52]constantly fuel that void in the heart which has the word love
[10:56]written on top of it and that's unless Pantoja to Allah and
[11:00]when you have Allah that love is never going to end where
[11:02]then do you find a point in which your love when you
[11:08]accept a lot because right now the discussion is building a love
[11:13]for Allah it's not an attempt to convince someone to believe in
[11:16]Allah I assume inshallah we all have reached that stage but now
[11:19]I want to build a body of love between me and Allah
[11:24]a connection a relationship that will only strengthen my love for Allah
[11:30]because I've recognized that my loved ones will not be here forever
[11:33]even the closest to me will not be here forever I look
[11:36]at the endlessness of this universe and there's a limit to it
[11:41]just why it's called the edge of the universe the seeable universe
[11:43]it began at one point at all and I won't play there's
[11:45]not an infinite source of things in this life for me to
[11:51]take and love and look at and appreciate only allah subhanahu wata'ala
[11:55]as mentioned in that door the source of love that needs no
[12:00]love yet out of your mercy you still decided to love me
[12:02]so now how do I build my relationship with Allah my love
[12:08]with Allah and strengthen that bond and passion by first understanding what
[12:11]you're looking for because we say we want something but do you
[12:16]know what it is you want one of Allah's names is alwa
[12:18]dude the loving would mean meaning one of the terms for love
[12:25]in the Arabic language and you find this in Holy Quran over
[12:31]him but last Iloka male here on Elden moet that fil aruba
[12:35]after 23 difficult tormenting years of spreading and promoting the last message
[12:41]of God on earth rasool ullah sallallahu alehiwassallaam was approached by the
[12:45]arabs the muslims and they came to him and said o holy
[12:49]prophet of god after all these years and you took us from
[12:54]being Bedouin that would eat grass to enlighten human beings how do
[12:57]we repay you how can we compensate you for all of your
[13:02]hard work the response was Paulo as a local - but you
[13:07]want to repay me for all those years she the Prophet would
[13:10]say my odni being you and minimal deeds there has never been
[13:13]a prophet more oppressed than I have all that torment all that
[13:17]oppression from your own loved once it hurts more when it comes
[13:22]from your own loved ones you look at his uncle Abu Lahab
[13:25]the wife of Abu Lahab would common place porns in the ground
[13:29]under the sand knowing that right here the Prophet would walk barefoot
[13:35]literally a living torment rasul allah would go through and you know
[13:39]torment doesn't have to only inflict you to become torment it shouldn't
[13:42]it could also inflict your loved ones you think rasul allah doesn't
[13:46]know what imam ali ali Sonam is destined to how he says
[13:50]you will be killed praying to Allah or holding that baby imam
[13:53]hussain in his hands knowing that the Ummah will kill himself proclaimed
[13:58]Muslims Omar will murder him he cries and cries and then at
[14:03]the end of all that he says you know what in order
[14:08]to pay me back love my family in more what better for
[14:11]Obama what which word would one of the names of Allah and
[14:16]Elmo what love being my close ones love my I will bait
[14:20]see out of soul Allah after you left the world how did
[14:22]they love that I hundred bait instantly they martyred your beloved daughter
[14:25]no one knows where she is and she died angry at so
[14:30]many individuals afterwards they unleashed their fangs at that Imam Ali Salaam
[14:34]then Ali mom would Hassan and then self-proclaimed Muslims killed Imam Hussein
[14:38]how did they repeat our Allah no they didn't now it's up
[14:44]to us let's repay the Holy Prophet by loving his family up
[14:48]most love and mercy compassion passion as well to the holy household
[14:53]of the holy prophet what hurts so much that we can't express
[14:57]our love when you say the praise of Allah so Allah make
[15:01]sure that you continue it with the family some people today peace
[15:04]and blessings be upon him and that's it so Allah Almighty he
[15:09]was sent him know go forth so Allahu alayhi wa ala aalihi
[15:11]wa seldom continue with the family when you do that you pay
[15:15]back it'll sort of love for everything he did the Enlightenment that
[15:17]he has instilled in our hearts loving Rasool Allah is the form
[15:23]the best way to repay Allah but by doing that also love
[15:26]that I obeyed Allah title Allah dude implement that in our lives
[15:30]now we know what we're looking for love is generally defined as
[15:36]the deep affection that one has for something or someone something or
[15:40]someone so it it is not it is not exclusive to human
[15:45]beings you can love the man or the man-made the prince or
[15:49]the principles and that reminds me of that great lady i they
[15:54]had salam on the day she says i saw nothing but beauty
[15:55]what beauty everything you saw was torment but you looked beyond that
[16:00]and you saw the principles in which your family died loving but
[16:03]we'll get into that in sha allah at the end allah subhanahu
[16:06]wata'ala is el Wadud done to build a love for him loved
[16:12]the family done love is defined as the deep affection someone has
[16:14]for something or someone done now how do we construct by dividing
[16:18]love it's easy to say let's take something and build a foundation
[16:24]with it but if you don't divide it in two parts baby
[16:26]steps for a lack of better words baby steps take things step
[16:33]by step the journey will be difficult in building a bond with
[16:37]Allah love is divided into two parts intrinsic like fitly natural love
[16:42]where you need no reason to love someone or something and consequential
[16:50]for those of you who will inshaallah study islamic courses in the
[16:54]seminar I believe if it's not offered here of course called ed
[16:57]movement back a study of Islamic logic this concept is called LM
[17:04]he Lori and her solely that love which is innate and love
[17:07]that is consequential innate love or intrinsic love is the type of
[17:14]love in which you did nothing for me no favor was made
[17:17]in my way but I still love you there's no reason for
[17:21]me to love you what where do you find this in life
[17:24]it's really difficult to find that kind of love in life there's
[17:27]only there are only two examples I can think of about my
[17:30]head our mom and her child and Allah and us the mother
[17:35]looks at the child and you would imagine this would be counter
[17:38]intuitive when a mother has a child she's losing sleep her bodily
[17:44]health is deteriorating some of them lose Saturday she now has if
[17:48]you know in a country that offers parental leave you lose money
[17:51]you have to take care of a kid now you have to
[17:53]clean the kid now you go and say when the kid cries
[17:55]but you do that all with a smile our dear respected loving
[18:00]mothers the baby did nothing for them on it didn't give her
[18:03]a billion dollars instantly the day was born nothing nothing but the
[18:08]mom still loves it yes it's difficult yes it's challenging yes I
[18:12]lose sleep but I do it loving the child that's intrinsic love
[18:15]where did that love come from I don't need any reason to
[18:19]explain to you why I love my child I just do that's
[18:21]intrinsic love that's love fifthly natural it's just there why I just
[18:28]love the kid and even when the kid brings upon many obstacles
[18:31]in my day I just love the kid I don't care then
[18:35]you have consequential love where do we find that many times a
[18:38]person does a favor for you in return if it's a very
[18:42]big favor there's probably affection that has been established now or a
[18:46]child and their mother consequential you took good care of you you've
[18:50]raised me when I became a youth you gave me life lessons
[18:55]as a result of all of that I now love you for
[18:57]what you've done that's consequential love Allah spawn which Allah loves the
[19:04]creation both of these loves now it's difficult to find that or
[19:08]it's both intrinsic and consequential I love you because yes you upheld
[19:13]goodness you removed evil from your life you prayed your fasted these
[19:19]this is consequential but where do you find intrinsic love where is
[19:23]it the case in which I did nothing yet you still decided
[19:26]to love me the fact that you woke up today breathing is
[19:29]a sign that Allah loved you the fact that you woke up
[19:34]today smiling was a family loving you is enough reason to know
[19:37]that Allah loves you without you having to do anything the fact
[19:39]that he made you with all your limbs together as a sign
[19:44]that Allah made you loving you and even if you don't you
[19:46]have more than others even if you have deficiencies in health you
[19:51]have a bit more than other people might have accept that as
[19:55]a sign that Allah made you loving you no reason for you
[19:58]to have done a lot any favors the fact that you were
[20:01]able to make it to this program listen to me is a
[20:05]sign that Allah loves you but inshallah to Allah we can find
[20:08]these signs in which allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala his love is found without
[20:12]reason for allah loving us part of the reason why a hundred
[20:17]and thirteen times out of the 114 chapters he introduces himself as
[20:21]a man Raheem compassionate merciful one would assume that compassion would intell
[20:27]mercy nope I have to emphasize it rahman rahim compassionate merciful I'm
[20:31]here for you you don't need to do anything I'll still love
[20:34]you but I want the best for you it's not as if
[20:38]I'm doing this for your own for your suffering no it's for
[20:44]your own good literally pray these prayers be thankful and grateful for
[20:48]your own good not for me I don't need your love but
[20:53]I would appreciate it I love you and you don't need to
[20:55]do anything about it but I want the best for you be
[21:00]kind be merciful to others irrespective of what they may even believe
[21:03]in and who manifested that claim I'm you know many nights a
[21:06]time in which he says people are two brothers in religion or
[21:10]equals in humanity I don't care what you practice if so long
[21:12]as you stand by the principles of human rights that's enough for
[21:15]me to appreciate you in my life have mercy on the creation
[21:21]the Creator have mercy on you yes perhaps non-muslims don't practice like
[21:27]we do don't fast like we do don't uphold doctrines of this
[21:32]religion like we do but sometimes they behave more than some self-proclaimed
[21:38]Muslims out there am I to say I should hate that individual
[21:43]for not believing in my religion no for the same man that
[21:45]came to preserver would say that's your equal and you imagine you
[21:47]by the way that person has a heart you have a heart
[21:50]don't you have an eye they have an eye treat them as
[21:54]such show mercy to the creation the Creator will show mercy to
[21:57]you and that same Creator says I love you twice intrinsically and
[22:01]consequentially but there is a type of love however that is promoted
[22:08]these days known as unconditional love in Islam is this an aspect
[22:12]in our part in our faith and our doctrines and our theology
[22:16]is there or is it not because it surely is within the
[22:18]beliefs of our Christian brothers and sisters that God loves you unconditionally
[22:23]whoever you may be there's a story I recall some of you
[22:29]may be familiar with certain parts of the story where in my
[22:33]university there are they do very good missionary work some of the
[22:38]brothers from from the Christian Way they do very good missionary work
[22:44]so as you're you know waiting for your class to begin one
[22:47]will approach and ask you hey do you have a minute the
[22:50]worst thing to do is say yeah I have a minute because
[22:51]that minute will then convert to three hours yeah I have a
[22:56]minute they'll sit with you and they'll try to come everything what
[22:58]they can do and so one day we were sitting one of
[23:03]these gentlemen approaches us hey do you guys have a minute and
[23:06]I said yeah I got a minute he goes I have a
[23:08]question are you Muslim yes I'm listening do you believe in God
[23:12]yeah I believe in God and I like to what this was
[23:15]going most of them I believe in God okay where is this
[23:16]heading does God love you I have to think I hope so
[23:20]yeah does God love you and then he pulls out the most
[23:22]corniest thing a dollar bill and he wrote 1 million on it
[23:27]he's like here's the million dollar question show me where in the
[23:31]Quran does God say I love you like ha now I see
[23:35]what you're doing because you can easily cut the Bible God loves
[23:37]you here if you get slapped on one cheek turn the other
[23:41]okay show me where does Allah say I love you in the
[23:48]Quran now what not even in my mind I'm thinking where does
[23:52]it say God loves me in the Holy Quran where do I
[23:56]see that and then it comes in oh yeah there's a verse
[23:58]so there is a verse he pulls on his mini bronze in
[24:01]English he's like prepared yes this is all down to where I
[24:03]was like okay pull in kuntum to kumoi say if you love
[24:13]Allah follow me God will love you like doesn't say God loves
[24:21]you only when you follow the prophets only then does God you
[24:25]as if following rasool allah makes me an evil human being it
[24:29]doesn't say God loves you unconditionally I said hold on it says
[24:33]if you follow us or Allah then God will love me yeah
[24:38]but it doesn't say God loves you what do you mean then
[24:41]no it has to say unconditional love when I follow a soul
[24:45]of law I am upholding humanitarian rights as if that's what you're
[24:48]asking when I follow us for Allah I am upholding women's rights
[24:51]if that's what you're asking when I follow a sort of law
[24:56]I am upholding the rights of every creation animal and human and
[24:59]plant and tree what more do you want yes but you know
[25:04]we believe that if you even falter and create sin I want
[25:07]unconditional love for the sin and the sinless a murderer would be
[25:14]someone God will still laughing like no no only if they repent
[25:17]likewise and our beliefs if you repent if there's room the door
[25:23]of tawba is always open there's always a time and a way
[25:27]to seek Allah's forgiveness and Allah will still continue loving you the
[25:31]reason why these vicious gruesome people on earth will commit atrocities in
[25:35]life don't just get punished instantly and still are able to wake
[25:39]up breathing and have family and have health you would think that
[25:43]they're doing evil why doesn't allow just and them maybe perhaps if
[25:47]we keep them living and going they may repent maybe because they're
[25:50]still around these horrible people they may turn they may make a
[25:54]180 and decide to repent and there are wonderful examples of horrible
[25:57]people horrible individuals who somehow it looks as if they became Saints
[26:04]when they found God or people that are incarcerated in prisons then
[26:08]convert to Islam give them a chance give them a break actually
[26:11]yes they may have done something wrong but Allah is not a
[26:17]rahim allah is not look afar allah will not forgive of course
[26:20]Allah will you ask the man now so a murderer God will
[26:25]still love them only if they repent likewise only if they repent
[26:28]how does one achieve successful repentance that's the condition all in kuntum
[26:37]to have born a la patagonie you bitte kumamon say if you
[26:41]love Allah follow me God will love you because Allah loves who
[26:46]the most the man that is titled habib allah assalamu alayka ya
[26:53]allah assalamu alayka ayyuha revenue and nabila assalamu alayka wa ibrahim khalil
[27:02]allah assalamu alayka wa saimusha Kalima lacerum wala quwata illa allah assalamu
[27:09]alayka wa muhammad habib allah allahumma salli ala muhammadin wa ala muhammad
[27:15]peace be upon the inheritor of Muhammad the love of Allah who
[27:22]are we talking who are we talking about here Imam Hussain al
[27:26]Islam the art worid is the xiana of inheritance imam ali said
[27:30]i'm inherited the role and principles of adam of noah of abraham
[27:39]of musa of isa and rasoolallah but when he inherits these principles
[27:44]of these great prophets he also inherits their titles in that sense
[27:48]the lessons of their titles Habibullah go straight to imam hussain becomes
[27:53]the happy love allah where do we find this coming from me
[27:57]coming from the same habib allah for saying when many when I'm
[28:01]in Hussein but that doesn't say happy Bala continue I have Allah
[28:06]man I have the house aina Hussein is from me and I
[28:09]am from him what are you doing on the 10th of self-proclaimed
[28:14]Muslims what are you doing to him I have Balaam and I
[28:16]have Barcena not men Taba and Hussein I have ever seen whoever
[28:22]loves Imam Hussein Allah loves them that's the condition loves Imam Hussein
[28:26]so is there room for non-muslims to be considered in the category
[28:30]of Allah and the love that Allah in puts forth yes that's
[28:36]why I'm not surprised when I see non-muslims adore Imam that's why
[28:40]I'm not surprised when I see a Christian died fighting for Imam
[28:42]are saying what happened lost money because the principles were not cocooned
[28:45]to the 7th century they were humanity arian principles that invite all
[28:54]humans all of man and women came together under the banner of
[28:57]heavy bull of imam hussein rasool allah and allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala which
[29:02]is why we began our discussion with let's honor the manifestation of
[29:07]love allah rasool allah and imam al-hussein alehissalaam sallou ala muhammad wa
[29:15]ala muhammad with that being said we may have understood now a
[29:20]pathway that I understand deep affection for something or someone okay I
[29:28]can love the morals of somebody or I can love the person
[29:30]themselves that's perfect and now I've divided love intrinsically consequentially understood now
[29:37]now I realize how to get a loss love by loving that
[29:40]which Allah loves naturally if I have deep affection for my brothers
[29:47]here whoever loves them I will have some respect for them even
[29:50]if I don't know them there's already respect being established if I
[29:55]see someone loving my brother with utmost love and mercy I and
[29:59]that person share a similarity meaning you have something in common we
[30:05]both love this individual why because of what they stand for or
[30:11]we both love a certain message in life standing for the oppressed
[30:14]in the face of oppression resisting the oppressor I love that trait
[30:20]and you don't have to be Muslim to establish that therefore I
[30:24]love whoever loves humanitarian rights is one example or someone who has
[30:29]etiquette enough or enough etiquette to love their own parents because of
[30:33]the respect we see some days especially in the West towards families
[30:36]their parents is very bad between malign actually people will refer to
[30:41]their moms and dads by their first names have some honor this
[30:46]is your mother this is your father or your elder the elder
[30:48]are considered like as the hadith states the elder in your house
[30:54]is like the prophet of that house if so if you have
[30:56]a grandpa at home or a grandmother honor reverence give them show
[31:03]them make them know that they are significant they may be frail
[31:06]but their life experiences are beautiful and bountiful let your heart open
[31:11]up to them that void as we mentioned let it be filled
[31:16]with that type of love that's an unlimited type of love because
[31:19]if they're no longer around being as Frank as we can be
[31:22]if they leave which they will our loved ones you don't need
[31:27]to replace the heart with another person to love you can maintain
[31:32]loving them that's genuine love right there but you want reciprocating love
[31:37]as well to make it feel very passionate to make it feel
[31:41]very passionate where do you find that only with Allah because you
[31:47]could feel a connection now if you understood that Allah loving you
[31:50]means loving Idol bait yes I love a debate there's reciprocating love
[31:55]because they love me back how do I know that ash hadu
[32:00]and Konami in the GRE we recite I bear witness that you
[32:08]hear my words when I recite these grr to these supplications upon
[32:12]visiting the holy Imams I bear witness is amongst one of the
[32:16]lines that you hear my words and respond back to my Saddam
[32:22]so are they dead No very much alive more living than will
[32:25]can be sometimes as in Kaname get what John you do make
[32:34]you to know that the learned individual is alive even if they're
[32:38]dead and the arrogant individual is that even if they look to
[32:44]be alive so I know I have a tower living and the
[32:45]living can reciprocate love so I love you Oh Alan Bates in
[32:50]so doing a lot and sort of mean loving Allah spano Tala
[32:55]and so doing satisfying that craving I have in my heart that
[32:59]emptiness is no longer there I have something inside me to fulfill
[33:03]passion and compassion an example for this would be noticing how loving
[33:10]God and Allah and a debate ring upon sustenance in our lives
[33:18]you become a more well fit human being spiritually socially communally in
[33:24]all aspects of life praying five times a day is good spiritually
[33:28]but it gives you good active sets of life in which way
[33:36]that when you are able to pray five times a day your
[33:38]day revolves around your prayer now who on earth would wake you
[33:44]up let's say 5:00 a.m.
[33:44]to tell you go and pray it gives you morals if you
[33:49]can handle that you can handle all aspects of life it gives
[33:51]you lessons so it's not for my own good it's for your
[33:56]own good from the lens of allah subhanahu wata'ala and i've only
[34:00]set these forth as injunctions for us to follow literally for your
[34:04]own good so one you can build a relationship with me to
[34:11]you can as well become a whole a better human being a
[34:15]more successful human being this example is found and the very interesting
[34:19]beautiful story of what the high bar the Battle of hype or
[34:25]the very famous war in which the Imam alehissalaam experienced really beautiful
[34:30]significant power at that moment by lifting up the gate of clay
[34:34]but of course however there's a line that is always overlooked what
[34:40]well with with what Rasulullah stated at that battle in that event
[34:44]of course the story is as such that there was a threat
[34:48]made in the northern land of Medina at the area called hey
[34:51]Bob and the Jews in that area threatened the Muslims they said
[34:54]you have no right to make this new religion you know what
[34:57]if you don't stop it we're going to come and kill you
[35:01]now they have to act upon self-defense the Muslims went led by
[35:05]Rasul Allah and then they try to approach the fortress it's called
[35:08]her son Khyber so it's a fortress so it's very hard to
[35:14]get through and so those who love would hand a flag to
[35:17]one commander to advance to the city and make their way inside
[35:22]but they would retreat cowardly they would come back in Arabic to
[35:25]constantly advance it's called Quran to constantly advance when you retreat Ferrara
[35:30]you're always retreating in a coward state I'm solo solo would take
[35:35]the flag give it to me give it to another leader and
[35:36]then they would try advancing to the city until all of the
[35:41]leaders that were leading the army gave up their sleeve which were
[35:44]afraid it's a fortress they're shooting arrows back at us one man
[35:47]actually suggested to rasul-allah that why don't we just throw arrows their
[35:51]way blindly and then we'll hurt them that way the sort of
[35:56]law said then what about the children look at this humanitarian stance
[35:59]humanitarian istic stance what about the children what about the people that
[36:03]are not fighting what about the innocent bystanders what about the women
[36:08]what about just the person who is not in that state of
[36:10]conflict with us what about them I'm not going to shoot arrows
[36:13]inside the city that's a sign of his nabuwa his prophet of
[36:18]why because if he was truly a king after control he would
[36:20]easily do that but to prove that he is a prophet of
[36:24]God he even maintained a level of ethics even in the state
[36:30]of war where ethics is not even visible the primacy of peace
[36:33]is what a sort of law was after at that moment and
[36:37]then the Muslims retired no one had any will to continue forward
[36:41]they would all constantly retreat and Soros or Allah made an announcement
[36:45]everybody let's gather I have to make an announcement tomorrow I'm going
[36:53]to give the flag and he would say then gradual and you
[36:57]have Bo la Jara Sola well you have bo la war a
[37:02]solar car are there for rob tomorrow I'm going to give the
[37:09]flag to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger but that's
[37:12]not enough and Allah and His Messenger love him advancing never retreating
[37:19]everybody was excited it's going to be me and do you know
[37:22]who narrates this tradition from the sources of our wonderful brothers and
[37:26]sisters I'm gonna pop he says I was excited that it would
[37:31]be me all the companions were happy am I the one because
[37:34]I certainly love Allah and His Messenger but do I love Allah
[37:40]and His Messenger we'll find out tomorrow as the next day comes
[37:44]Oh sir Allah approaches them all they're gathered and he takes that
[37:47]flag by the way as a side fact the flag Rasool Allah
[37:52]carried was a green flag not the black flag of death that
[37:55]extremists like to fly around showing that their representatives of Islam a
[37:59]green flag of nature and life and peace that we're not here
[38:04]to fight as a sign I never shot arrows inside killing anyone
[38:06]everybody blindly no I'm here for peace but you guys keep threatening
[38:11]us and trying to move move forth with your advancements and killing
[38:15]I just want peace is what the message was at that point
[38:17]and he grabbed that flag and he looked around and everybody's excited
[38:22]am I the one who Allah and His Messenger loves he then
[38:23]said I knew I'd be bought it where is he mom ideally
[38:29]Salaam the response came he is sick and he cannot see he
[38:31]had an eye infection if he has an eye infection he can't
[38:34]go and fight so I said it's ok bring him they brought
[38:39]him right now rasool allah performed a miracle he took from his
[38:43]blessed saliva and applied it around the eye area of imam ali
[38:47]salam the imam himself says that i was able to have vision
[38:52]that day like no other i could see the stars and beyond
[38:54]and the imam obviously takes the flag conquers that day removes the
[39:01]gate of ke baare and brought victory to the muslims how so
[39:05]his life became a living success because he loved Allah Allah loved
[39:10]him he loved Rasul Allah but also to loved him if they
[39:15]seemed biotic relationship they're not mutually exclusive you want true success stop
[39:19]looking at a lot and say give me give me give me
[39:23]when Allah gave you so much show love back he's constantly giving
[39:27]you and will continue to give you this reminds me of an
[39:32]interesting event in which alhamdulillah I was honored to have visited the
[39:35]holy Imam either he said I'm done with her saying in in
[39:38]Caribana this year for auto buying there was a brother with us
[39:43]in the group he never went to see Allah ever so this
[39:47]was his first time so we really got it into his head
[39:49]that all whoever makes the honor for the first time they have
[39:53]all their Hodja answered pray for me ok you're gonna do that
[39:55]please prove this and that he's like okay well as soon as
[39:59]he gets to the very right the the wall that surrounds the
[40:01]grave of the holy Imam he goes all Imam Husayn please give
[40:06]me a car please help me pass my task please help me
[40:09]achieve this business deal please please please hold on hold on I
[40:12]was thinking wait a second everything the Imam did for you the
[40:15]first thing you do when you see him you say give me
[40:20]more the first thing and as a piece of advice for all
[40:24]of us the first thing we should do whenever we make a
[40:27]visit to any great saint of Allah they say thank you thank
[40:31]you for what you did on the 10th thank you for promoting
[40:36]Islam and the primacy of peace thank you for all you did
[40:40]and bless the movements pray for others who says this I say
[40:45]it as a Hollis and I'm a job for my daughter the
[40:47]neighbor then the self pray for others and then pray for yourself
[40:52]only then will you see your heart and your desires being fulfilled
[40:56]and answered there reaches a point in which our love for something
[41:01]or someone gets to a level within the Strada of love where
[41:09]it's at a peak pinnacle in which whatever misfortune falls on your
[41:14]life so long as that misfortune was for the sake of that
[41:18]which you love it transforms into beauty and what does that mean
[41:24]it means soul Angas yes it was difficult raising a child yes
[41:27]it was counterintuitive my mother experiences as we mentioned in the beginning
[41:32]bodily health deterioration it's a misfortune but it was a beautiful misfortune
[41:39]calamity transforms into serenity that love at its best pinnacle and that
[41:44]reminds me of the great saint of muhammad in which she says
[41:47]I am Zeynep the Hashemite moon to my left the Sun was
[41:53]to my right and now you're asking what did I see I
[41:58]saw nothing but beauty I say that Islam you have every right
[42:01]to complain you experience that which no one in life ever experienced
[42:05]and will never experience who substantiates that claim an imam hassan he
[42:10]says la yonkyo Mooka yeah abdullah there will never be a day
[42:13]like your day and who had to experience both Karbala and the
[42:19]aftermath as sayyeda zeinab but it's as if she looks at away
[42:22]the liability on the governor of Kufa in the 62nd year after
[42:28]hijra when he asks her with all audacity and a brave miss
[42:30]he was very abrasive and he looked at her and he says
[42:36]how do you see what allah has done to your brother very
[42:38]abrasive how do you see what allah has done to your brother
[42:43]trying to pin all this on allah how do you see she's
[42:47]like i see nothing but beauty mara a to allah Jamila why
[42:49]Beauty anybody would have succumbed at that moment and given and just
[42:54]say I saw torment oppression death destruction your brothers were all they
[42:59]went through we saw nothing but Beauty you say that transcends time
[43:04]there is a and I want to mention this before we conclude
[43:07]there's a study that has been done that shows the level of
[43:14]torment one can achieve in their life when you are a parent
[43:17]and you have children that child normally grows up expecting at least
[43:23]subconsciously that one day their parents will pass away before them that's
[43:28]a reality naturally they see that the parent is older they'll pass
[43:33]away before us so it's expected subconsciously it's there however a parent
[43:40]never expects their child to pass away before them subconsciously they even
[43:46]believe that I will be buried by my own children I say
[43:49]the Zeynep had two children she gave in Karbala where she consciously
[43:56]knew her brothers were going to be martyred but subconsciously it was
[44:00]there that my children will at least live she gave two sons
[44:03]own and Mohammad how she gave them for the service of Islam
[44:08]why she does love them of course but she loves something greater
[44:12]and that's the message of Islam and Allah whatever misfortune falls on
[44:16]my way so long as that misfortune was for the greater love
[44:21]then that misfortune transforms into beauty a bus I the histor damn
[44:25]when you gave your eye ma sha Allah how you gave your
[44:30]arms mashallah how you stood there and you were thirsty yet you
[44:33]decided not to drink mashallah my sons when you came and you
[44:37]fought valiantly for your uncle for saying mashallah how you came forth
[44:41]about Abdullah and said that I want you to come and make
[44:47]peace we don't want to fight mashallah calamity transformed into serenity at
[44:52]that moment o Sayyed et you saw all this torment and you
[44:57]still transcend time with that phrase I saw nothing but beauty because
[45:01]that beauty formerly was calamity but because it was for the greater
[45:06]beauty the greater love it became it became powerful it became amazing
[45:11]and as if she sees the shia of today you see nothing
[45:16]for beauty twenty million she I visit Imam Hussein annually where's the
[45:21]grave of years Eid no one knows Hajj is mandatory three million
[45:24]visit go to Hajj the Ottoman cuisine is it watch it is
[45:29]a part of the whole soul Dean for Dean is it but
[45:32]what cause is twenty million people to go forth and walk to
[45:35]imam hussain not drive walk to imam hussain when you have this
[45:38]opportunity take it and return back to your lord with your feet
[45:44]praising you Ya Allah my carrier the feet will speak will say
[45:48]on your behalf I walk to that which you love and I
[45:53]know you love the I have ate the a little Bates bought
[45:58]all of them twelve muscle mean love Rasool Allah Allah you love
[46:03]have Ebola so now love them and by doing that we will
[46:06]establish a 100% beautiful connection and relationship with Allah an infinite source
[46:13]of love that'll never subdue that will never go away and will
[46:20]remain contented the heart will remain content with this flourishing overflowing overflowing
[46:25]source of love and sha Allah Ta'ala we right now let's make
[46:30]dua by raising our hands it is said that when the hands
[46:34]are risen the likelihood of the blessings to be increased increases because
[46:37]you are not only expressing your passion with your tongue you're also
[46:41]expressing it with your hands so let's dedicate tonight's messages on behalf
[46:45]of a sailor Xena Bali has said on by saying we ask
[46:50]Allah subhana WA Ta'ala to raise us with a sayyeda zeinab on
[46:55]the day of judgment we ask Allah subhana WA Ta'ala to grant
[46:57]us the xiana of a sayeda zeinab in this life the visitation
[47:00]we also ask Allah Sparta to grant us the shafa'a the intercession
[47:07]of a citizen in the afterlife and we also ask Allah subhana
[47:10]WA Ta'ala to make us from the followers of the shia of
[47:14]a seder zeyneb and levena the debates all together Ladino hyuna's you
[47:18]had born allaha wa rasuluh well sooner after Donna and al hamdu
[47:25]lillahi rabbil alameen wa sallahu mala while he beam up Thank You
[47:44]say nefra that's wonderful recitation salli ala muhammad wa ala muhammad before
[47:49]we conclude just a reminder that we have a program next week
