[4:34]healthy eating when it comes to regular exercise when it comes to
[4:38]enough sleep we don't give our bodies its attention the have said
[4:42]that this body of yours is a am Allah subhana wa tala
[4:48]has given it to you so you and I must look after
[4:52]it must not neglect it must not take this matter lightly and
[4:55]the idea that some people sometimes question and they say as a
[4:58]Believer I don't have time to for example do exercise I don't
[5:05]have time for example to look after my body I am busy

[18:16]acceptable people struggle how do I become better in this regard sometimes
[18:21]we need to look at tools that have been made available for
[18:25]you and I sometimes we need to implement them in our lives
[18:27]one tool that's being given is called c a cat very important
[18:32]for you and I to understand it this is known as counter
[18:35]Ambush training what's counter Ambush training they say that when an individual
[18:40]finds a Temptation that idea and that Temptation ambushes their mind they
[18:47]become slaves to it they give an example to do with food
[18:53]they say for example you and I are on a diet we
[18:57]come to where we come to the house in the kitchen there

[19:22]there in front of you it's okay you'll have a day off
[19:25]tomorrow start again so there's all these thoughts going on in your
[19:31]mind they say you need to Ambush it how do you counter
[19:33]Ambush it you say to yourself first of all I will have
[19:39]this cake but in 10 minutes and you leave that area so
[19:44]you go somewhere else you're no longer in that particular place by

[23:17]styles of the generation back home in Iraq in Iran in Afghanistan

[24:48]said look we were not praying for Allah we were praying CH
[24:51]we are looking to stay away from the hardship of M you
[24:56]are the cause of our problems yes sadly that parenting style doesn't
[25:03]work meaning what today there are there is a reaction to this
[25:06]I speak to parents and they say you know my daughter is
[25:11]nine she's not ready to fast and she's not ready to wear
[25:14]hijab and she's not ready to pray so I am letting her
[25:18]decide whenever she's ready molana when she's ready she will come to
[25:22]me and say here bah I'm ready to wake up for f
[25:26]I love Allah all of a sudden when when I am 65
[25:34]or 70 a neither this or this neither or neither extremism or
[25:38]being lenient when it comes to Parenting sometimes the willpower needs to
[25:43]develop from a young age in order for the human being to
[25:48]gain this sometimes put them in a difficult position let them suffer
[25:51]a little bit suffer in the sense that not one that threatens
[25:53]their life but let them feel the pain let them work hard
[25:59]so that they feel what they feel the importance of struggle in

[26:55]our normal ways of remembering Allah and the one individual used to
[27:03]sometimes message me and saying this is it we are doomed there
[27:05]is no way out of this it's all hell from here yes
[27:09]and before he used to say why are we trying so hard
[27:11]Allah will put us all in Janam anyway and I remember telling
[27:17]him why are you so negative in life why do you have
[27:19]a very dark view of everything sometimes if you and I are
[27:25]with kinds of people who weaken our resolve our determination our self-control
[27:30]and our willpower we will invariably be weak as well if I
[27:34]have a friend who always tells me you can do this I

[27:40]the ability I will be encouraged that's why you have these successful
[27:47]Sports managers and coaches who are always positively looking at things who
[27:52]never give up who are always hard workking and tell their for
[27:54]example team yes you were defeated heavily today but look at your
[27:57]strength you can pick yourself up that's why it is recommended to
[28:04]always be around positive people and other thing they say is start
[28:08]small if you want to have a change in your life don't
[28:12]look for something immediately that's big start something that's small yes for
[28:15]example one of the things that we lack as communities in this
[28:20]day and age and I'll be honest with you unfortunately our youth
[28:24]are not reading books enough in this day and age all because
[28:28]of the phone all because of social media you ask yourself this
[28:32]question over the last year from last Shah Ramadan to this Shah
[28:35]Ramadan how many Islamic books have you read how many Islamic books
[28:42]have you finished people say I'm struggling I don't have time aib
[28:46]you don't have time or you don't have willpower which one is
[28:49]it yes maybe you need to start small maybe get a small
[28:55]booklet or print a few articles which have depth in that understanding
[28:59]I mean depth because many times maalis give you the tip you
[29:04]and I need to strengthen our need to strengthen our relationship with
[29:10]Allah through depth and extensive knowledge therefore many times if I start
[29:15]small it helps when it comes to he comes forward and gives
[29:27]us a wonderful prescription in for gaining the important muscle within the
[29:34]willpower in Arabic the word for exercise and sports is those of
[29:43]you Arab they know it's IM says I practice Sport and exercise
[29:49]but that of the in says my form of muscle building and
[30:02]exercise as far as the NS is concerned is through a number

[30:54]of the inner muscle because we are gaining tawa and ta is
[31:00]what we me must seek in this holy month of Ramadan meaning
[31:05]what ta is to be able to see that Allah is watching
[31:07]me at all times and I feel embarrassed to do something that
[31:13]Allah doesn't want me to do IM says tawa is when Allah
[31:15]finds you where he wants you to be and does not find
[31:20]you where he is not wanting you to be it's simple as
[31:25]that that's why if you and I develop a system of utilizing
[31:26]the month of Ramadan it's the great start for building the inner
[31:30]strength and self-control and willpower I remember reading this particular individual who
[31:36]understood tawa his name indeed was an individual who has uh the

[31:49]was somebody who ordered a piece of cloth in order for it
[31:55]to be prepared by a tailor I went to the shop I

[32:14]of cloth they said to me you you go and deliver this
[32:17]for this lady because she can't come to pick up her clothes

[32:23]will give her this piece of cloth he said I went and
[32:25]knocked on the door of this lady's house she opened the door
[32:29]and said please come in I cannot come out please come in
[32:33]and place the cloth inside the house the moment I came inside
[32:36]the house she closed the door when she closed the door she
[32:38]said to me if you do not listen and do what I
[32:43]ask you to do I will go and tell the world that
[32:48]you have committed fornication you have committed Haram with me so you
[32:54]have two choices you either listen to what I say or your
[33:01]reputation will be ruined it will be destroyed there is no way
[33:04]out if you were in his position which option would you choose
