[0:08]Road in Canton Michigan will inshallah become the site of Mecca's permanent

[0:12]home the land is situated in a beautiful and quiet area surrounded

[0:16]by trees that provide a sense of privacy and natural beauty at

[0:20]the heart of the center will be a prayer room a sanctuary

[0:26]where individuals and families can come to worship and gain nearness to

[0:31]Allah in addition the center will feature a double basketball court gymnasium

[0:37]where our families can engage in physical activity and build healthy habits

[0:42]the gymnasium will also serve as a multi-purpose Hall to meet the

[0:48]growing needs of our community the center will also include classrooms where

[0:52]our weekend school will provide a foundation of Islamic knowledge and values

[0:58]based on the teachings of the B our vision for for Mecca

[1:01]goes beyond just bricks and mortar we envision a space where families

[1:05]can Bond over shared experiences where our youth can find mentors and

[1:10]role models and where our community can come together as one family

[1:15]this is an ambitious project that will be costly but our ability

[1:21]as a community to come together in such short time and secure

[1:24]this land debt free is a testament to our dedication and determination

[1:29]times have changed and we must Safeguard our families in new and

[1:33]creative ways join us in this journey filled with opportunities and make

[1:42]Mecca a part of your legacy together we can build a brighter

[20:47]alayum everyone may Allah accept all of your deeds and in this

[20:56]holy month of Ramadan um I would like to start inshallah masallah

[21:00]Mecca is having a very vibrant month of Ramadan holy month of

[21:04]Ramadan this Ramadan with so many programs and events for different ages

[21:08]different groups at different times of the day so it's even harder

[21:13]for me to keep up with all the programs that are happening

[21:15]where to sign up where to go where to do things so

[21:19]it's best if I encourage everyone that would like to stay up

[21:21]to date with a program to join our WhatsApp community group that

[21:27]we recently established to keep up and to see all the liers

[21:30]and events that we are sharing so um we have a night

[21:36]we have every afternoon we have Quran Quran so you could recite

[21:39]Quran at home alone to you know to do a or you

[21:44]can join our dear respected uh brother Haj haar hammud and join

[21:48]the thawab and multiply the thawab by reciting Quran with other people

[21:53]that are with your community within your community so you can recite

[21:56]Quran alone at home or you can multiply that and reward when

[22:01]you reide with other people you could learn also so make sure

[22:03]you attend that program that program Quran is every day at 5:30

[22:08]p.m.

[22:08]um here at the Mah um so we have kids program nightly

[22:14]that is that goes parallel with the nightly adult program this is

[22:19]not Jungle Java where you just drop off your kids they're just

[22:21]jumping around not learning anything this is actually a program focused on

[22:25]the children to learn about Islam I think one of the events

[22:29]that I went with Haj Hassan the other night I saw they

[22:33]were learning in the in the dark with laser about Haram and

[22:36]Halal doing Ramadan which is very interesting for me even myself I

[22:39]learned a couple of things uh just stepping in there for a

[22:43]couple minutes so make sure to come to the program here nightly

[22:46]program for adults and drop of your kids knowing that they're in

[22:49]a safe environment learning about Islam the same way you're enjoying your

[22:53]time and learning from our dear respected ali um they have fun

[22:59]they learn and it's for ages of 5 to um 11 years

[23:01]old and it starts right before this program so you can drop

[23:06]them off and come here um have coffee and tea until the

[23:10]program starts so we made it this e very easy this year

[23:13]we have programs every Friday so we have upcoming Friday March 7th

[23:20]at 11: PM Brothers game night where they will be playing games

[23:23]they will have discussions they will have Refreshments so it's very easy

[23:28]this Friday 7th we have the this program upcoming Friday um not

[23:32]upcoming Friday the next Friday March 14th we have the family lock

[23:37]in at High Velocity make sure you purchase your tickets because we're

[23:40]seeing the tickets are flying very fast and getting purchase very fast

[23:43]this is an event for the entire family so your family will

[23:48]be all together in one place and at High Velocity or there

[23:51]will be Sports I know Sports before AAR is not ideal but

[23:55]this is after AAR where everyone is filled and full of energy

[23:58]so we will have sports Sports we will have Dua discussion and

[24:01]the most important thing this is the birth celebration birth of Im

[24:05]alassan so we will have a very fun event that night make

[24:10]sure you purchase your tickets um we have shared the flyer and

[24:13]we will share the flyer again um every week to remind you

[24:18]in of the program and two Fridays after that we have the

[24:22]most important event which is our Mecca fundraising dinner inshallah we would

[24:26]like to see all of you purchase your tickets purchase are the

[24:31]tickets are almost sold out so make sure you purchase your tickets

[24:35]before they get sold out um to support meca so you can

[24:38]support Mecca by purchasing your tickets for thear you can sponsor every

[24:44]night nightly program you can sponsor it the um proposed amount is

[24:48]$250 but you can support it from $1 to $10,000 up to

[24:53]you whatever amount you want to if you want to do that

[24:55]you can contact uh sister ahlam her number is on the flyer

[24:58]or you can scan one of the QR codes around here and

[25:02]there's an option for Ramadan night nightly sponsorship and you can enter

[25:06]in the notes which night you would like to sponsor um very

[25:11]easy process for you to do so this is another way for

[25:13]you to support Mecca um so all of us masallah I think

[25:16]have houses we have Apartments we have a place to live in

[25:22]unlike our unfortunate sisters and brothers in um in Palestine in Lebanon

[25:25]in Sudan and Yemen and all these different countries so with that

[25:30]comes many responsibilities we pay for our DTE bill for our internet

[25:35]bill for all these different bills that we want to pay for

[25:38]insurance why so we can live comfortably in that place that we

[25:42]have so we can make sure our kids are comfortable we make

[25:44]sure we are living um and a good life and to be

[25:49]able to pass that on to our next Generations well Mecca needs

[25:52]your support as well we have bills here for electricity we have

[25:55]bills for the nightly programs for the speaker that we pay for

[26:00]the things that we purchase so that's another way for you to

[26:03]support Mecca is to become a monthly recurring donor it could be

[26:09]$1 it could be up to $500 or ,000 you get to

[26:11]choose that but when you support that just rest assur when you

[26:15]come here you look around if you're donating $10 a month you

[26:18]know that $10 of this place is for you right because you

[26:23]pay mortgage in your house and you think your house is yours

[26:25]you pay your apartment it's yours so when you pay $10 $100

[26:30],000 500 doesn't matter the amount all the amounts are in equal

[26:33]in Allah subh T's eyes this place is yours this is your

[26:36]community this is the future of you so I'm getting older so

[26:41]I want to make sure I'm leaving behind a place that is

[26:43]secure that is safe that is actually teaching that is the message

[26:47]of to my children and to make sure that I did my

[26:52]job in front of Allah in Allah subhana T's eyes so make

[26:57]sure you support Mecca by becoming a monthly um recurring member donor

[27:01]and the other way that you can support Mecca is to build

[27:06]the future of Mecca so we have the uh posters around the

[27:08]future of Mecca by sponsoring a prayer spot for $5,000 I know

[27:13]$5,000 might sound a lot but we have other options we have

[27:16]monthly reoccurring we have different amounts that you can a you're able

[27:22]to do that $5,000 if you're not able to do the $5,000

[27:24]there are other amounts that you can pay but make sure you

[27:28]build a brick so when your kids when inshallah after a long

[27:31]life you pass away I pass away my kids come say my

[27:35]dad paid for that building we made sure we put a brick

[27:40]in there so make sure you sponsor do uh support Mecca through

[27:45]nightly sponsorship through Mah prayer spot and through one more important um

[27:51]way which is becoming a volunteer at Mecca so Mecca runs on

[27:55]volunteers if you look around we have brothers standing up we have

[28:00]brothers amongst you sitting down we have a group of volunteers of

[28:03]80 volunteers that help run all the programs that we have they

[28:06]run this program behind the scenes after everyone leaves cleaning up we

[28:13]have brothers at the tech these are not none of the volunteers

[28:15]are paid that's why they're called volunteers we have sister Malak handling

[28:19]our kids she's a volunteer everyone else with is volunteer the afar

[28:24]coming up volunteer the family lock in so volunteer being a volunteer

[28:27]in Mecca is very important important for the prosperous I don't know

[28:32]if that's the word of Mecca so make sure you become a

[28:36]volunteer and help even if it's one day of the year that

[28:38]one day will make a difference in being able for Mecca to

[28:45]keep up his programs um so when you become a nightly sponsor

[28:49]uh for Ramadan we have the same thing for maharam not only

[28:55]you are benefiting but your are also benefiting because like tonight's tonight's

[29:01]sponsors we have two Anonymous so even though we don't know their

[29:05]names but we have two Anonymous donors and then we have anded

[29:11]so for the soul of the and for the soul of Rec

[29:36]so now the of the sponsors of tonight's tonight's program got benefit

[29:42]as well they're you know they have passed away but they have

[29:46]they were benefited through US reciting the so um as I have

[29:52]mentioned to make sure you sign up for our um WhatsApp group

[30:34]maybe I don't want to donate or something if we look at

[30:38]our bill that I mentioned the DTE bill that we have there's

[30:40]a due date on it right if you don't pay by due

[30:44]date they will come back saying oh you missed your payment right

[30:46]reminder a week if you don't pay your payment it's just something

[30:51]that stays for me I always snooze it they come through my

[30:53]email snooze it until the day before and then I pay it

[30:56]but at the end of the day I make sure I pay

[30:58]it otherwise uh some my credit score stays good so the same

[31:01]thing that we are re like like constantly reminding everyone is because

[31:07]we we would love everyone to become part of the fabric of

[31:12]Mecca of Mecca's Community by continuously supporting it like I said there

[31:16]are many ways to support not only monitor monetarily but also through

[31:20]your time through anything if you have any ideas you would like

[31:23]to suggest of any programs of anything else everyone is open you

[31:27]can just talk to any of the board members or myself to

[31:30]try to um if you have any suggestions to you can become

[31:33]part of Mecca's community so thinking okay why should I become part

[31:37]of Mecca's Community why should I even pay towards Mah to build

[31:43]a Masjid here when I can drive 20 minutes or 25 minutes

[31:45]mallah there are like three masjids in Dearborn Heights there are 10

[31:49]mids I think in between Dearborn and Detroit why should I support

[31:54]a Masjid um here then when I can do that alhamdulillah the

[31:58]space is for everyone but this is just think of the future

[32:01]right when all of us work or the people that work invest

[32:06]in their 401k 403b or all these retirement plans right this is

[32:09]all for your future so when you retire and you're paying Social

[32:16]Security Medicare so when you retire you feel comfortable not only living

[32:20]comfortably but you're able to make sure that your kids are living

[32:24]comfortably right generational wealth so we're trying to pass generational wealth downtown

[32:28]our kids but this is something that will stay forever even in

[32:32]the Hereafter it will not it's not something that um will go

[32:36]away insh so I I don't want to elongate the program or

[32:49]um all the announcements on you guys but um let's I would

[32:56]like to ask um ifer is here brother okay brother to recite

[38:21]like to remind everyone that tonight after um our dear respected ha

[38:36]would like to um welcome our dear respected withad muhammadd [Music] MIM

[39:18]Muhammad [Music] all praise belongs to Allah subhana tal and I begin

[39:58]in his blessed name and Allah subhana tala has created us in

[40:02]magnificent ways and one of the greatest gifts he given us is

[40:08]our gregarious nature which makes us very social we are social beings

[40:12]highly dependent on each other and our desire for other human beings

[40:16]to be around us is part and parcel of the very fabric

[40:21]of who we are and this is a gift of God that

[40:25]is really something that should be cherished and nothing is more precious

[40:29]to us than that reality for being in solitary confinement of some

[40:34]sort is essentially punishment of the soul but being around others is

[40:38]a huge gift for it extends the mercy of Allah for the

[40:43]human race starts to become one being we have made you from

[40:56]oneself it's beautiful the fact that the entire human race has one

[41:00]set of parents and you know that's the gift of Allah to

[41:06]ensure that mankind shares some connection with each other and that's why

[41:11]we Brethren as IM Alam says to Malik when he makes him

[41:15]appoints him the governor of Egypt and says when you go to

[41:20]Egypt oh Malik know that there are two kinds of people that

[41:22]are under your toage one is that they are uh Believers in

[41:30]faith or they are your equals in humanity so you must consider

[41:38]the human race within that prescription and at the end of the

[41:42]day we're all mankind Adam oh children of Adam we're all children

[41:48]of Adams think about it you know when somebody calls you oh

[41:51]son of fulan Bin fulan and then 8 billion people are all

[41:53]responding at the same time that's incredible by the same token because

[42:01]we're so blessed to be gregarious and social in nature we tend

[42:05]to be disobedient and Reckless in our obligations and as a result

[42:10]we tend to cause pain on each other while we're gifted with

[42:17]this social gift of God this uh what we call nature of

[42:20]being around others um we find ourselves harming each other often and

[42:27]if you look at the pain on Earth as I mentioned depression

[42:30]is on the rise while technology is accelerating asymptotically our depression our

[42:35]suicidal ideations are increasing because at this social level we're not obeying

[42:41]the commands of God and the solution is very simple but its

[42:45]implementation is not easy first and foremost we human beings are created

[42:54]weak Allah says we have made we've made you natur naturally weak

[43:02]right we made Mankind in a state of trepidation the word cabad

[43:09]is liver liver is the most stressed organ in the human body

[43:12]it's the one that's the most stressed not the heart the liver

[43:15]is the most stressed and therefore Allah has enabled the liver to

[43:21]regenerate itself because it's the most damaged that's the mercy of Allah

[43:26]its ability to regen generate is a gift of God but that

[43:33]regeneration is what we call we talk about the ability to return

[43:37]When Allah says hasten to forgiveness to protection doesn't only mean forgiveness

[43:55]it means protection from mistakes has multiple meanings one powerful meaning in

[44:04]the Quran is seeking protection from future sins and Allah says and

[44:11]if you do that Allah says the reward that awaits you is

[44:16]greater than the Earth and Sky put together for the paradise that

[44:24]awaits you is greater than all the Creations put together think about

[44:28]it but it is a calling for the god conscious and they're

[44:34]transactional and look at the transaction when we talk about social beings

[44:38]what brings Harmony in society they give charity in good times and

[44:51]in bad times what's charity charity to who to others a kind

[45:01]word to somebody a smile a hug is also charity Allah says

[45:11]kind speech and forgiveness is better than charity followed by injury kind

[45:17]speech smile Salam you look beautiful I'm so happy to see you

[45:23]I pray for you it's charity here Allah of course talks about

[45:29]spending in good times and in bad times why bad times because

[45:37]they have trust in Allah they know the treasury of Allah is

[45:42]infinite and no matter how much you feel threaten by potential poverty

[45:46]you're not afraid because Allah says Allah is ever wealthy you are

[45:58]poor what happens is because we are weak and we're vulnerable and

[46:03]Allah has allowed us to be in that state where we can

[46:08]go astray we develop strategies at a young age to survive this

[46:13]world and there are two ways to survive a Progressive Way what

[46:22]we call a growth mindset or defensive existence a fixed mindset two

[46:31]types a growth mindset is the one who sees potential in life

[46:37]and constantly growing ASM totically a fixed mindset is where you don't

[46:43]want to change you're the same and you just keep degrading and

[46:46]rotting away over time and IM Ali Alam says a person who

[46:52]doesn't grow from yesterday has technically died for plateaus in spirituality is

[46:59]one of the most dangerous things to experience and therefore Allah subhana

[47:02]tala has instituted prayer Upon Us maintain it you wonder why God

[47:14]is pushing me towards religious transactions on a daily basis it is

[47:17]precisely to prevent me from reaching a plat muhamad muhamad spiritual Plateau

[47:29]is dangerous you start because remember for the chart to take a

[47:37]dip you have to first come to slope zero and then you

[47:40]drop that slope zero is when you lose hope you feel like

[47:46]oh there's nothing else for me to do in life I've reached

[47:47]my maximum potential what happens then is you start dipping and when

[47:54]you start dipping now you start doing bad things now the world

[47:56]starts to become a glass that's half empty and you start to

[48:03]see negatives and then you work hard to empty the glass extremely

[48:06]dangerous now you become a social anathema you start getting into gossiping

[48:14]fault finding complaining on a constant basis and you start to become

[48:20]very difficult to deal with and the world becomes troubled by the

[48:27]presence of that individual so we are created by Nature weak but

[48:31]often we don't know how to raise our children we put them

[48:36]in states of peril because we ourselves when we are young and

[48:40]get married often we don't have a clear vision of what our

[48:45]goals are in life and even when we get married it's often

[48:48]just an experimental relationship I don't know I'll figure things out as

[48:52]we go one thing I admire about families that get you know

[48:59]early marriages I've seen couples come to me and said Hajj we're

[49:01]getting married we want to come we want to learn the Quran

[49:04]we want to learn Islam and I look at them and I

[49:08]say why why do you want to do that and they said

[49:09]well soon we're going to have children and I need to know

[49:14]how to deal with my spouse I need to understand my wife

[49:17]the wife says I need to understand my husband I said Bravo

[49:21]Bravo this is the sign of a Believer one who preempts one

[49:24]who does not react at the moment of divorce and starts to

[49:29]figure out with her counselor what I need to do to fix

[49:30]my marriage but the one who's always been Vigilant and aware that

[49:36]my marriage could go astray and my children could go astray should

[49:40]I not preempt myself that's a Believer a Believer is constantly Vigilant

[49:47]not waiting for the world to collapse and then to say you

[49:57]know IM IM sa Zan is asking us what have you been

[50:00]doing you're asking me to come back what have you been doing

[50:06]have you taken action have you protected yourself Allah says what's take

[50:13]action prevent IM aliam says what is tawa he says tawa is

[50:18]immunity it's a very simple thing if you look at the human

[50:23]body one of the most dangerous things in the human body is

[50:25]immunity when your immunity drops no matter how strong you are you

[50:33]will die you will suffer once your immunity is strong then the

[50:37]potential for growth is there but if the immunity is lacking you're

[50:41]finished so we must immunize ourselves with Iman with hope with belief

[50:49]in God and understanding Allah not just loose talk about Allah Allah

[50:55]Allah Allah no no no no you sit and you wonder how

[51:00]does Allah work and when you want to know how Allah works

[51:02]just look in the mirror you are the greatest living miracle that

[51:07]ever existed people ask me about miracles Hajj can you show is

[51:10]there a miracle in life I said yeah go in the mirror

[51:12]look at yourself you're a miracle what I'm not a miracle I

[51:15]I know when I was born I have a birth date I

[51:18]know my parents I said go ask your parents how you were

[51:20]born they have no idea and when you started babbling and crawling

[51:26]and talking your parents have no idea when the switches were turned

[51:29]on and when you got sick they got confused and when you

[51:33]did good things they were happy who do you think was controlling

[51:35]all of that you we as parents when my daughter was born

[51:40]and I held her I said Ya Allah I had very little

[51:42]to do with this child I held her hand and she looked

[51:46]at me I said my God blessed is you who creates such

[51:51]beauty and this child looked at me grabbed my finger I said

[51:55]what did I do for this child to grab my finger I

[51:59]don't even know how this child is grabbing my finger and then

[52:01]the child is growing the next thing they're your height and then

[52:03]they're taller than you they're taller than their mothers like double the

[52:10]size you know these big beastly guys right Salam alaykum brother big

[52:14]biceps and I want you to meet my mama and she's like

[52:16]onethird his size she sayam alaykum I said oh my God how

[52:21]did this big creature come from this small creature Allah says look

[52:28]how I create H I make this child grow what a blessing

[52:32]but we are weak and we learn to survive at a young

[52:39]age children learn to lie many parents white lie children see that

[52:47]H that's the template we're going to follow you ever noticed by

[52:50]the way they say the fruits don't fall far from the tree

[52:54]when you see a family that's got Edition meaning they are wise

[53:01]they're very academic they're very philosophical they're very deep in their thoughts

[53:04]they're very Visionary they're planning and everything about them has meaning to

[53:09]life you'll notice their children emulate similar characters so parents who are

[53:14]educated typically children are going to be educated parents who are not

[53:21]into education right they have to change the course mallah I've seen

[53:24]many parents who are blueco collar workers who came into this country

[53:28]to survive the difficulties of poverty in the countries that they came

[53:31]from and they worked menial labor but they saved up money to

[53:37]ensure that their children went to school to change the course of

[53:40]their Generations such that their children became doctors and lawyers and Engineers

[53:45]Bravo that's potential to see the glasses half full and when you

[53:52]see the glasses half full you work hard to fill it how

[53:54]do you fill it you see God you see the day of

[53:58]judgment you see the eternity of life and you see the impending

[54:01]mercy of Allah at a constant basis and you indulge and that's

[54:06]progression that's life so our weaknesses tend to marginalize us and when

[54:14]we learn those subtle misbehaviors it becomes part and parcel of my

[54:20]character aaf the ones who troubled the messenger of Allah the narciss

[54:28]ists the materialists the capricious egotists and I'm using a bit heavy

[54:35]word here forgive me but inshallah it make sense you'll see that

[54:43]those people were born good the MUA the were born good every

[54:52]child is born good none of us should ever say that this

[54:56]child is intrinsically BN born evil like Saddam Saddam was born good

[55:00]his birth was good but he was born in a trashy environment

[55:04]his mother was trashy his uncle was trashy his environment was trashy

[55:09]so Allah is going to hold all those people liable for having

[55:15]made a monster like Saddam it's not only Saddam who's going to

[55:18]be held liable on Judgment Day every person that infused the negative

[55:23]thoughts in him is that they are going to to be paying

[55:29]a price for having caused the death of millions of people as

[55:31]a result of their misdeeds we don't realize the transactions that we

[55:36]indulge in for this life is all about cause and effect and

[55:38]we are effects of causes and we're causing effects therefore it's very

[55:45]important for you and I to be vigilant that when Allah says

[55:47]it's not only about you it's not only about the fact that

[55:52]you may go astray but those around you will suffer because of

[55:54]you and it could lead to a monstr Cy that may lead

[55:58]to a genocidal killer like Netanyahu for then you find yourselves in

[56:02]a state of peril and you realize how did this monstrosity come

[56:06]into the world well there's a collection of preceding events that took

[56:10]place and it led to what we call negligence within that Society

[56:15]negligence of Allah negligence of purpose in life utilitarian existence they lived

[56:23]in a pathway by which just to survive as creatures on this

[56:27]Earth not having a vision that the next world is superior and

[56:32]you're being held liable by the transactions you do today this is

[56:37]the Gathering we have today precisely when Allah says it's not a

[57:11]new news Allah says this has been mentioned to you from time

[57:17]IM Memorial that mankind listen and be given advice for the one

[80:30]been abused or has been beaten up is very very difficult traumatized

[80:35]children especially children who've witnessed Wars and deaths and Carnage and decapitations

[80:40]and blood it's like a it's like an infection you can't get

[80:46]rid of that infection it bothers you for life so now it

[80:49]requires uh support it requires love it requires careful you know massage

[90:14]proactive way to say I've got a scar here I've got a

[90:20]to take medication I'm going to go to the gym I'm going

[90:24]to eat healthy food this is how I'm going to eradicate this

[90:26]problem proactivity finding Solutions not finding faults in others I don't need

[90:32]to satisfy myself at the cost of somebody else falling I need

[90:39]to improve myself for myself for Allah says save yourselves on Judgment

[90:45]Day no one is going to ask you about you only God

[90:47]will ask you about you and if your heart is not calm

[90:51]you're going to be in trouble Hearts Don't become calm if they

[90:55]don't indulge in knowledge if they don't reflect find purpose in life

[90:59]and become proactive on a daily basis you and I are going

[91:05]to fail so let's make a resolution tonight that as IM aliam

[91:09]says there are three groups of people Ya Allah I want to

[91:14]be in the first two and by the way you can never

[91:15]be in the there are three groups there's the one who gives

[91:20]knowledge the one who receives knowledge and the rubbish Imam Ali says

[91:27]to be in the second group and when you in the second

[91:30]group you have to be in the first group but for sure

[91:34]you're never in the third group isn't that amazing that when you

[91:37]are giving knowledge you're learning and when you're learning you're going to

[91:41]give knowledge and that beautiful cycle of relationship of growth is what

[91:45]you and I need to be doing inshallah some of these verses
