[2:32]day in life we face challenges every day is a struggle every

[2:39]day is a test these tests are reminders for us that we

[2:46]are weak these tests remind us that we are insignificant that we

[2:53]truly have no ownership of anything we have no control of our

[2:59]health we have no control of our wealth we have no control

[3:04]of our family our life we don't know when we will die

[3:08]when we live how we live one of the proofs is this

[3:13]virus covid nineteen a small virus that cannot even be seen by

[3:20]the naked eye proves to the human being how insignificant and weak

[3:27]this human being is this human being that claims to be so

[3:32]powerful and sometimes thinks that he is owner of the world this

[3:39]human being is so insignificant and weak that a small virus that

[3:45]cannot even be seen by the eye brings down your health brings

[3:51]down the economy brings down stops life stops life the way we

[3:56]knew it what is this proof of this is proof that we

[4:00]are weak this is proof that we have no control of anything

[4:07]and the fact of the matter is that we are weak allah

[4:11]subhanahu wa ta'ala says allah says in the quran the human being

[4:21]is created anxious naturally the human being is anxious and in the

[4:36]face of evil the human being is impatient and in front of

[4:47]the they are withholding the human being is holding back the human

[4:53]being does not go after the we fall after and we go

[4:57]after what hurts us instead of what benefits us however there's an

[5:03]exception there's an exception to every rule the human being is weak

[5:09]innately weak except one category except one group of people who are

[5:15]they except those who are connected with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala the

[5:28]human being is innately weak the human being is insignificant the human

[5:34]being has no patience the human being does not accept the good

[5:39]except those who are connected with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala except those

[5:45]who have spirituality except those who are connected with the divine when

[5:51]you are connected with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala you will give yourself

[5:56]value you will make self the limited human being limitless because you

[6:03]are guaranteeing a future in the akhirah you're guaranteeing an afterlife for

[6:09]yourself and therefore you will become everlasting you will eternalize your soul

[6:16]as soon as you are connected with allah today one of the

[6:24]most important discussions that people discuss is what's the value of prayer

[6:31]why should we pray thoughts and prayers you find often times a

[6:36]lot of people they make fun of the statement statement thoughts and

[6:38]prayers meaning that prayers and thoughts don't do anything your prayers they're

[6:44]not going to change the world they're not going to impact anything

[6:47]or anyone therefore what's value of praying my dear brothers and sisters

[6:53]this is a wrong approach this is a wrong mentality we are

[6:58]in need of prayers we are in need of being connected with

[7:03]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala because we are limited and allah subhanahu wa

[7:09]ta'ala is the unlimited when you are connected with god you are

[7:14]going to make yourself unlimited you're going to give yourself authority through

[7:20]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala the human being benefits as a result of

[7:26]being connected with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala how do your prayers how

[7:31]do your supplications and your duas help you first my dear brothers

[7:36]and sisters your prayers and your supplications all that they are is

[7:42]a connection and an attachment with the unlimited lord of the universe

[7:47]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is the unlimited when you're praying you're connected

[7:53]with the creator of the universe your creator you're you're connected with

[7:57]the nourisher and the provider everything that you want everything that you

[8:03]wish for in life is in the hands of who it's in

[8:07]the hands of allah prayer is a dialogue prayer is a language

[8:12]that connects you with the one who has total authority of you

[8:17]everything in our lives is in the hands of allah subhanahu wa

[8:27]ta'ala so when we pray we're connected with the one who is

[8:31]the all powerful furthermore my dear brothers and sisters when you pray

[8:38]you're not just praying someone who does not answer you you're not

[8:42]praying to someone who is unable to help you you're praying to

[8:47]the lord of the universe you're praying and you're being connected with

[8:51]the one who created everything that you know including yourself and this

[8:58]powerful creator is the one who has promised to answer you there

[9:03]are many powerful individuals there are many rich people there are many

[9:07]kings and and presidents and people who are powerful but do they

[9:13]promise to be there for you the way allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[9:16]does do they promise to answer you allah subhanahu wa ta'ala promised

[9:21]to promises to answer whoever calls upon him when my when my

[9:36]servants ask about me tell them that i am close and i

[9:40]will answer whoever calls upon me furthermore my dear brothers and sisters

[9:46]even if we did not get exactly what we are asking for

[9:51]some of us we have something in mind and we're asking allah

[9:55]subhanahu wa ta'ala for that thing that's in our mind even if

[9:59]you don't get exactly what you're asking for just by the fact

[10:03]that you're connected with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that will place you

[10:07]at ease because you're being connected with the one who is able

[10:12]to answer you you're being connected with the one who has control

[10:16]of everything and that is allah subhanahu wa ta'ala this is why

[10:20]allah says in the quran just barely all you have to do

[10:29]is remember god and your hearts will be automatically at peace your

[10:34]hearts will be in comfort imagine you're going through a difficult crisis

[10:40]but you know that someone around who's responsible they are able to

[10:45]help you even if they're not helping you right now at this

[10:48]very moment you know that this individual is able to help you

[10:52]you're going to be at peace but if you had your hopes

[10:56]and someone who was not able to help you then you're not

[10:59]going to be at peace then you're going to be stressed out

[11:03]this is why allah says in the quran verily it's through the

[11:10]remembrance of allah that the hearts will be at peace if you

[11:15]want to be at peace if you want your soul to be

[11:18]at peace your soul needs to be it needs to be at

[11:23]peace the quran describes three types of souls the part of your

[11:31]soul that is constantly telling you to follow the desires and the

[11:39]soul that gravitates you back to faith after doing something haram after

[11:44]doing something wrong the regret and the soul that's rest assured the

[11:52]soul that's rest assured is the one that is connected with allah

[11:56]subhanahu wa ta'ala third my dear brothers and sisters we said that

[12:02]when you're connected with god you're connected with the one who has

[12:06]promised to answer you and is able to answer you second even

[12:10]if god does not answer you you will be at peace third

[12:15]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gives you so many other blessings maybe you're

[12:20]asking for something that allah has not given you but allah has

[12:24]given you so many other things he tells his people just by

[12:48]connecting with god just by repenting and doing istighfar allah subhanahu will

[12:55]open the gates of blessings towards you and towards your family my

[13:01]dear brothers and sisters today some people they say i don't feel

[13:07]that my dua is answered i don't feel that my prayers do

[13:12]anything i don't feel that there's an impact i pray i fast

[13:17]i do whatever i can i don't see any difference the problem

[13:22]is with our approach my dear brothers and sisters allah subhanahu wa

[13:26]ta'ala answers whoever calls him allah promises to answer the problem is

[13:33]with us the problem is with our approach the problem is with

[13:37]our perspective towards god we only turn to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[13:42]when we are in need our relationship with god is a selfish

[13:46]relationship our communication with god is dry we don't have a bond

[13:53]with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala we don't have a real connection with

[13:56]god we only turn to god when we want something that's not

[14:00]what dua is supposed to be yes allah says call upon me

[14:05]whenever you need me however dua and supplication and turning to god

[14:11]has many blessings and benefits you don't only turn to god when

[14:16]you need something you turn to god so that you will have

[14:20]that bond with god and that bond will make you immune from

[14:24]all of the problems and tragedies in life because just by being

[14:29]connected with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala you will be able to survive

[14:35]the challenges and the difficulties in life but our approach is we

[14:40]only turn to god when we need something yes then we see

[14:45]that our soul is not reaching god we have to develop a

[14:49]language of love with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala we have to develop

[14:53]a friendship with god where we turn to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[14:58]all times we're connected with god at all times in times of

[15:02]ease and in times of difficulty in times of peace and in

[15:07]times of tragedy in times of health and in times of disease

[15:12]many of us we only remember god when when we're in need

[15:17]when we're struggling and this my dear brothers and sisters is a

[15:21]dry relationship this is an unhealthy relationship it's a selfish relationship that

[15:27]we're having with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala my dear brothers and sisters

[15:34]we learn how to be connected with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala some

[15:42]of the blessings that we have from the is that they teach

[15:46]us how to have the language of love how to have a

[15:50]dialogue with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala how to be connected with allah

[15:55]subhanahu wa ta'ala where do you find a dua where do you

[16:01]find a supplication that teaches you how to speak to god that

[16:06]heals your wounds that fixes your problems go and look at all

[16:12]of the methods all of the approaches that people have when they

[16:16]do dua you see you won't find any dua as beautiful as

[16:22]that of the where the and their beautiful duas go and find

[16:29]the dua like dua kumain go and search the whole world you're

[16:33]not going to find a beautiful dua like dua kumain go and

[16:37]find the dua like dua of muhammad ali like dua these prayers

[16:45]and supplications of the they're not just prayers where we're asking god

[16:52]for something when we need no these prayers help us nourish our

[16:57]souls they help us strengthen our faith and strengthen our hope in

[17:03]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala this is why we need to turn to

[17:07]these daws today some they say i want to find spirituality other

[17:12]methods i'm going to go through the path of sufism and yoga

[17:17]sitting and doing all these things they might help but you won't

[17:22]find anything that connects you with god like the language that is

[17:26]used by the we have treasures with us the duas of the

[17:32]is a treasure with us how many of us take advantage of

[17:37]this treasure how many of us turn to these resources one of

[17:43]the beautiful duas is a dua of imam al hussain alaihi salam

[17:48]in fact imam al hussain has several duas he has several supplications

[17:55]one of the most important ones is the dua that we recited

[17:59]on the day of arafa dua imam al hussain on the day

[18:02]of arafa he has another dua when he wakes up and sleeps

[18:08]he has a that is attributed to imam al hussain and there's

[18:13]a dua of imam al hussain on the day of ashura when

[18:17]he saw the army in front of him and there's also a

[18:22]final dua in his last moments this this spirituality of imam al

[18:28]hussain these supplications teach us key factors on having a strong relationship

[18:35]and bond with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala imam al hussain did not

[18:41]become the person who just is a revolutionary and revives our ummah

[18:47]and revives the souls and the hearts imam hussain he became imam

[18:53]hussain as a result of his spirituality as a result of his

[18:57]connection with allah as a result of his devotion and his prayers

[19:03]in his spirituality and my dear brothers and sisters let us take

[19:08]these nights as an opportunity to strengthen our faith with allah if

[19:13]you love imam al hussain if you cry for imam al hussain

[19:17]if you shed tears for imam al hussain but you're not connected

[19:21]with the lord of imam al hussain then there's a problem imam

[19:26]al hussain he sacrificed and everything that he did was for what

[19:31]for the sake of salah for the sake of connection with god

[19:34]for the sake of the quran when we say in the of

[19:38]imam al hussain we say i bear witness that you stood to

[19:45]defend prayer on the day of ashura on the day of ashura

[19:50]imam hussain in the middle of the battle one of his companions

[19:55]tells him it's time for prayer imam al hussain he looks at

[20:02]the sky and he sees that the sun is at noon he

[20:06]tells him the you remembered the prayer may allah write you down

[20:16]from those who uphold their prayer in the middle of the battle

[20:21]today if there's a football game some of us we forget the

[20:23]prayer we forget prayer easily we put prayer to the side easily

[20:30]whereas imam al hussain in the middle of the battle while the

[20:34]arrows were being thrown at them imam al hussain stood to pray

[20:39]am i like imam al hussain or am i like those who

[20:41]were on the army that was fighting imam al hussain in terms

[20:45]of prayer we have to ask ourselves so during these days while

[20:52]we remember imam hussain let us renew our vow with the lord

[20:56]of imam hussain that if i'm not pray let me start praying

[21:00]if i don't have spirituality let me increase that spirituality this is

[21:05]what imam al hussain gave his life for and through imam al

[21:09]hussain millions of people are guided every year and then hussein he

[21:20]is the beacon of light and the ark of salvation my dear

[21:26]brothers and sisters when we look at the duas of imam al

[21:29]hussain we see a language of love we see that the imam

[21:34]points to several very important factors that show us how to be

[21:40]connected with allah that teach us how to be connected with allah

[21:46]how to deal with our problems and find solutions to the challenges

[21:51]that we face first my dear brothers and sisters when you look

[21:56]at the duas of the you find that they teach us the

[22:01]essence of tawhid the essence of monotheism today some of the enemies

[22:09]of the and the enemies of the followers the they accuse the

[22:15]shia of being mushrik they accuse the shia of associating partners with

[22:20]allah because of our love for the however you go and you

[22:28]look at the duas of the you see that it is these

[22:32]words that teach us the essence of monotheism if it was not

[22:36]for the if it was not for imam al hussein and his

[22:40]father and his grandfather and his children and his brother you will

[22:47]see that the people those who are accusing the followers of the

[22:51]al baith with shirk they would still be worshiping and bowing to

[22:55]idols until today it is imam al hussain that teaches us the

[23:00]essence of tawhid in this beautiful dua dua imam al hussain on

[23:05]the day of arafah imam al hussain he says you wanna find

[23:18]a proof you wanna find something that will lead you to god

[23:23]how am i going to bring a proof when anything that i

[23:26]bring to prove to me god is in need of god i

[23:31]need a proof to prove to me that god exists but everything

[23:35]that i bring is created by god and in need of ta'ala

[23:41]does anyone or anything else have more appearance is anything more apparent

[23:51]than allah subhanahu wa ta'ala allah is the creator of everything allah

[23:56]gave life to everything how can i look at something and say

[24:00]this leads me to god when everything is a creation of allah

[24:05]subhanahu wa ta'ala and then he says when did you go far

[24:22]when you need something to guide us to you and when did

[24:26]you leave us that we need to find you allah is always

[24:31]around allah is never away and then he says blind is the

[24:47]eye that does not see allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and at loss

[24:52]is a transaction that does not include allah subhanahu wa ta'ala this

[24:59]is first the imam teaches us and you will find this with

[25:04]the and you won't find it with other than the the other

[25:08]paths the others they will have a floppy toraheed but the teach

[25:15]us the essence of monotheism second my dear brothers and sisters the

[25:22]imam all of the imams and imam al hussein in his duas

[25:27]he teaches us to acknowledge the blessings of allah upon us we

[25:35]have to be appreciative a part of dua if you're asking god

[25:40]for something there's a very important equation before you ask for anything

[25:46]you have to show gratitude for what god has given you if

[25:49]i don't appreciate what i already have then my dua is not

[25:53]going to be answered one of the keys to a successful dua

[25:58]is that we have to show gratitude and thanks for what we

[26:02]already have and allah says in the quran your lord has called

[26:18]out that if you thank me i will give you more if

[26:22]you don't thank then the punishment of god is going to be

[26:26]severe imam al hussain and all of the imams you find that

[26:31]the majority of the dua is instead of asking god for something

[26:36]they're praising god and they're thanking god for what god has given

[26:40]them because you won't be able to receive more sustenance until unless

[26:46]you acknowledge what you already have you have to be thankful you

[26:50]have to be appreciative for what allah has given you we have

[26:55]the habit of always asking we always want more we don't sit

[26:59]and appreciate what we already have imam al hussein he says oh

[27:11]allah all praises due to you is one praise means all of

[27:19]the praise i thank you i show appreciation i grow i show

[27:27]gratitude for the way that you created me and you made me

[27:35]hearing and seeing all praise is due to you that you created

[27:48]me in the best way possible allah subhanahu wa ta'ala created the

[27:53]human being in the best way possible you find that as soon

[27:56]as a baby is born as soon as a child is born

[28:00]suddenly the mother her body becomes a way to feed this baby

[28:07]the body transforms and it changes so that the baby will survive

[28:12]so that the baby will be able to drink and before that

[28:17]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala sends the nutrition in the womb then as

[28:22]the child grows they grow teeth then they're able to eat and

[28:26]they're able to digest who created this who programmed this we have

[28:32]to thank allah subhanahu wa ta'ala it's out of your mercy to

[28:39]us that you created us in this way oh allah you did

[28:47]not need to create me what have i done have i made

[28:50]any difference for god i haven't done anything i'm so insignificant that

[28:55]whether i exist or don't exist doesn't matter but allah subhanahu wa

[29:00]ta'ala matters in my life and then he says and you created

[29:14]me with the fitra allah gave us several navigation systems today if

[29:19]your navigation system your gps your internet turns off while you're driving

[29:24]we all get lost we don't know how to drive without the

[29:27]gps allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has created several mechanisms for guidance for

[29:34]hidayah in terms of eating and sustenance allah has programmed us in

[29:38]a way in terms of living and surviving allah has given us

[29:44]this is all and then there's another type of and that is

[29:50]the the of sending the guidance of sending prophets and messengers to

[29:56]guide me and show me the way allah gave me a soul

[30:00]that helps me distinguish between right and wrong that's the fitra the

[30:05]innate subconscious this is all the hidayah of allah subhanahu wa so

[30:11]he says my my pure self my innate subconscious it finds the

[30:22]truth my dear brothers and sisters we need to learn to appreciate

[30:28]what allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has given us we need to be

[30:31]thankful one day allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells prophet musa allah tells

[30:40]him yeah musa oh musa i want you to thank me in

[30:48]the way that i deserve to be thanked musa alaihi salam he

[30:53]says how can i thank you in the way that you deserve

[30:58]to be thanked when everything that i have is from you if

[31:02]i thank you with my hands this is a hand that you

[31:05]have given me if i use my tongue you have given me

[31:08]my eyes my ears my feet whatever i have is from you

[31:12]so how can i thank you then allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells

[31:17]musa he tells him oh musa the fact that you acknowledge that

[31:22]you have thanked me in the way that i need to be

[31:24]thanked you have done your job in thanking me so we need

[31:29]to thank allah subhanahu wa ta'ala we need to acknowledge that all

[31:33]of our blessings are from allah subhanahu wa ta'ala today you find

[31:38]some people as soon as they're tested as soon as they go

[31:41]through some difficulty they begin to say why me why did allah

[31:44]do this to me why this and that we need to learn

[31:48]to submit and we need to learn to thank allah and show

[31:53]appreciation to allah and we learn that from imam al hussain alaihi

[31:57]salam imam zain al abideen he says on the day of ashura

[32:03]when imam al hussain he woke up and he saw the army

[32:07]like the ocean in front of him over 30,000 gathered and ready

[32:13]to kill the grandson of rasulullah imam al hussain he did a

[32:19]dua he began to supplicate he began to say he says oh

[33:05]allah you are the one who i turn to in times of

[33:09]need when i'm in distress i turn to you oh allah i

[33:13]have no one else to turn to when all others shut the

[33:18]door in my face oh allah you are the one who always

[33:23]have been there for me you have always been answering me and

[33:26]you've always been there for me so i turn to you today

[33:31]as well and every day and every moment in my life i

[33:36]turn to you oh allah this is a key point my dear

[33:40]brothers and sisters another third point is that we need to when

[33:47]we speak to god sometimes all we do is ask god we

[33:52]need to acknowledge that everything that we have is from allah and

[33:58]we need to acknowledge that we have a relationship that is unfair

[34:03]with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala god gives us what do we give

[34:07]god in return god gives us bounties and pleasures and satisfaction in

[34:13]return we disobey allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in return we turn against

[34:18]god in return we do not fulfill our obligations and duties imam

[34:26]al hussain he points that out he points out that we have

[34:31]to not be arrogant with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala some of us

[34:36]were arrogant with everyone even with allah even with our own lord

[34:42]we have to humble ourselves we have to acknowledge that allah subhanahu

[34:47]wa ta'ala is the allah has blessings and favors upon us imam

[34:53]al hussein in dua arafah he points that out he says oh

[35:15]allah you are the one who supported you are the one who

[35:20]healed you are the one who honored and gifted so i thank

[35:26]you for all of that and then he says but on the

[35:32]other side i i reciprocate the good with what i am the

[35:44]one who admits my faults so forgive me for my faults and

[35:49]aladdi asat aladdi akpat aladdi hamant aladdi jahilt aladdi gafalt aladdi sahout

[36:00]aladdi atamat aladdi you gave me but on the other side i

[36:14]am the one who kept sinning i am the one who kept

[36:18]breaking my promises i am the one who kept not valuing what

[36:25]you have been giving me i am the one who forgets i

[36:28]am the one who follows my desires we need to acknowledge that

[36:33]my dear brothers and sisters when we speak to allah subhanahu wa

[36:36]ta'ala the fourth point that we learn from this dua of course

[36:42]there are many factors there are many lessons these are just some

[36:46]another very important point of spirituality that we learn from imam hussain

[36:51]is that we need to learn how to ask god and what

[36:58]to ask allah subhanahu wa ta'ala sometimes we ask allah for certain

[37:03]things that are harmful for us this is the nature of the

[37:07]human being this is the nature of the human being and this

[37:11]is the verse that we began with we don't know what to

[37:22]ask allah subhanahu wa ta'ala we don't know how to speak to

[37:26]allah and when we do dua we ask for the wrong thing

[37:30]we ask for something that doesn't even help us because we don't

[37:34]see the consequences we're short sighted with allah subhanahu wa ta'ala we

[37:40]want pleasures right now at this moment and we are not willing

[37:44]to wait for the allah says in the quran the human being

[37:56]asks for asks for evil while they think they're asking for something

[38:01]good for them yes because the human being is always in a

[38:05]rush imam al hussain alaihi salam and the they teach us how

[38:13]to prioritize our dua what to ask for at the end of

[38:18]this dua at the end of dua imam al hussain imam al

[38:24]hussain has one sentence he says oh allah i'm going to summarize

[38:29]this whole hour long dua i'm going to ask you what i

[38:32]want he says oh allah i ask you for what i want

[38:55]my hajj that if you give it to me everything else that

[39:00]i didn't have is not going to harm me but if you

[39:04]don't give this to me everything else that i have will not

[39:08]benefit me i ask you to save me from the fire on

[39:13]the day of judgement this is the ultimate dua this is the

[39:18]goal that we should all have in mind imam al hussein he

[39:22]is definitely going to paradise why does imam al hussein do this

[39:25]dua to teach us to prioritize our duas to teach to teach

[39:31]us to know how to speak to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala when

[39:35]we ask god for something we should know how and what to

[39:39]ask allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and we should know what our priorities

[39:43]are and the number one priority is to ask allah to be

[39:47]saved on the day of judgement finally my dear brothers and sisters

[39:53]imam al hussain he teaches us that when you communicate with god

[39:58]it's not all about asking sometimes you should ask god for an

[40:04]opportunity to serve god ask god for an opportunity to do good

[40:10]in your life ask god for an opportunity to help out this

[40:16]is a very important dua we're always asking for things for ourselves

[40:22]we never ask god oh allah allow me to be someone who

[40:26]serves others allow me someone to help me someone who helps others

[40:31]someone who supports others imam al hussain on the day of arafah

[40:36]he asked allah for the ultimate sacrifice for the ultimate opportunity to

[40:43]show his faith and his servitude to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala he

[40:49]says he says he says oh allah sometimes we're always looking at

[41:06]things to bring us closer to you but these things they are

[41:11]distractions from i say oh allah let me have money so that

[41:16]the money will help me get closer to god let me have

[41:19]children so that my children will help me become a better person

[41:23]let me have a house so that i could do this and

[41:25]that but all of things they're distractions from allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[41:31]the imam says remove these distractions and allow me to see nothing

[41:47]but allah in front of me allow me to do something where

[41:51]i am connected with you an act of service where i am

[41:55]able to serve this religion and i am able to be connected

[42:00]with my lord allah subhanahu wa ta'ala answered the dua of imam

[42:06]al hussain on the day of ashura by giving him the opportunity

[42:11]to make the ultimate sacrifice and therefore imam al hussain he was

[42:18]connected with god and we said that the soul is connected with

[42:22]god is what it's imam al hussein he is these are the

[42:41]last verses of surah al fajr imam sadiq he tells his companions

[42:48]recite surah because it is the verse it is the surah of

[42:52]imam al hussain because the the soul that is rest assured the

[42:59]soul that is at peace the one that is connected with god

[43:04]and the one who allah is satisfied with that soul and that

[43:09]individual is satisfied with allah that is imam al hussain alaihi salam

[43:15]muhammad finally imam al hussain his last dua when he fell on

[43:27]the ground on the day of ashura when he fell on the

[43:31]ground even at that moment he was turning to allah in fact

[43:36]the narrators they say that as imam al hussain kept getting closer

[43:41]and closer to his shahada they would see that his face would

[43:45]glow and he would keep reciting dua he would keep speaking to

[43:50]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala throughout the whole day until he fell from

[43:55]his horse and as he fell from his horse he turned to

[43:59]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala oh allah i am satisfied with what you

[44:17]have destined for me i will submit to whatever you destined for

[44:21]me save me help me oh helper of those who seek for

[44:27]help these are the words that are attributed to imam al hussain

[44:45]alaihi salaam oh allah i'm willing to sacrifice myself i'm willing to

[45:15]orphan my children so that i could be connected with you if

[45:19]i were to be cut up into pieces this heart if it

[45:24]were to be cut up into pieces it would not want anyone

[45:28]other than you oh allah after the companions of imam al hussain

[45:35]all went to the battle and they were all killed in front

[45:39]of abba abdullah now it was the time for the family of

[45:44]rasulullah for the to go out into the battlefield the first of

[45:52]the family of imam al hussain to go out and fight was

[45:56]his eldest son ali al akbar ali al akbar resembled rasulullah in

[46:06]the most way this is why on the day of ashura imam

[46:11]al hussain asked ali al akbar to perform the adhan so that

[46:17]the enemies they hear the adhan and they see a face that

[46:21]resembles alaikbar came to imam al hussein and he tells him oh

[46:32]father allow me to go out and fight imam al hussein could

[46:38]not say no to his son because many others had already been

[46:43]killed so imam al hussain turned to allah and he began to

[46:49]do dua during those moments he began to say oh allah bear

[47:13]witness upon them that we have sent them a young man who

[47:19]resembles rasulullah in his akhlaq in his looks in his qualities and

[47:25]whenever we wanted to look at the face of rasulullah we would

[47:30]look at al akwa and then imam al hussain looked at omar

[47:36]ibn saud and he tells him oh o'mal i've been sad may

[47:52]allah bereave you of your family the same way you have separated

[47:57]me from my family and allah will send someone who will behead

[48:07]you in your own bed omar ibn saab did not care al

[48:13]akbar he carried the sword and he went out bravely into the

[48:19]battlefield he began to say he reminded them of the bravery of

[48:45]amir al mumineen in the battlefield they would run away from ali

[48:50]al akbar ali al akbar kept fighting bravely bravely and ababdullah was

[48:57]watching his son as imam al hussein was watching ali al akbar

[49:03]layla the mother of ali according to some who she was there

[49:08]she was looking at the face of imam al hussain she wanted

[49:13]to see whether imam al hussain is happy or not with the

[49:36]however there's a brave man that is confronting him he tells her

[49:42]go into the tent and do dua because i heard because he

[49:47]tells her because i heard rasulullah say that the dua of the

[49:52]mother for her son is accepted she entered into the tent she

[49:58]began to ask allah oh the one who returned yusuf to ya'aqob

[50:13]oh the one who revealed oh the one who removed the pain

[50:17]from ayyub the one who sent musa back to his mother by

[50:26]the right and the loneliness of allah let my boy come back

[50:36]to me at that moment ali al akbar he killed bakr ibn

[50:41]ghanim and he came back to imam al hussain aliyah akbar he

[50:48]comes back to the imam he tells him the happiness of the

[50:57]metal has taken away all my energy is there a drop of

[51:03]water for me to drink imam al hussain imam al hussain has

[51:08]no water what is he supposed to do to his son he

[51:11]tells him look at my tongue he saw the tongue of his

[51:15]father imam al hussain he saw that the tongue and the lips

[51:24]akbar goes back into the battlefield rasul al imam al hussain tells

[51:29]him the first to quench you will be your grandfather rasulullah goes

[51:38]back into the battle he began to fight them until a wicked

[51:44]man by the name of murrah ibn munkadil abdi he strikes ali

[51:50]al akbar with a spear in his back ali al akbar falls

[51:56]on the horse the horse keep keeps going forward it keeps going

[52:01]towards the enemies they all take a turn cutting off ali they

[52:06]all take a turn striking ali al akbar then imam al hussein

[52:11]he hears his son telling him oh father peace be upon you

[52:28]this is my grandfather rasulullah who has given me a cup of

[52:33]water and he tells me that your cup is waiting for you

[52:38]imam al hussein he went to ali al akbar he saw al

[52:44]akbar was on the ground as soon as his eyes fell on

[52:49]his son imam al hussein he threw himself on ali al akbar

[52:54]he laid down next to ali and he began to say and

[53:07]then he says oh ali life is not worth living after you

[53:14]oh ali imam al hussain he tried to carry ali al akbar

[53:21]he saw that he could not carry him every time he carries

[53:25]one part another part falls out so he calls bani hashem he

[53:31]tells them come and help me carry ali for two minutes repeat

[54:02]with me karbala ali became a murderer for the cause of islam

[54:33]and his father and watch the face of imam hossein when his

[55:04]face changed leila knew that ali had fell ali's lost left hussein

[55:13]broken in despair and his face was the resemblance of muhammad it

[55:39]was time to say goodbye to their son lay lazat over his

[55:49]body and shed tears imam hussain bid farewell to his son drink

[56:13]oh ali from the water of kotha drink oh ali from the

[56:23]water of kothar soon you will be united with your father
