[5:39]emotions if you want to define a human being you see that

[5:45]a human being is made up of many emotions and feelings and

[5:48]that is what defines the human being of course these emotions that

[5:57]we have and these feelings that we have they have a primary

[6:02]purpose and the purpose is to help us make better decisions in

[6:07]life for example I have the feeling of fear fear will help

[6:15]protect me in times of danger or for example sometimes I feel

[6:18]a sense of Happiness regarding something then that is something that I

[6:23]will be more likely to make that decision and go forward and

[6:29]go forward and pursue that which which makes me happy of course

[6:34]feelings Allah subhana wa ta'ala has given us feelings which help us

[6:41]make decisions but at the same time Allah subhanahu wa taala has

[6:44]given us the the intellect and the power of reason and it's

[6:48]the job of the and the reason to help navigate our emotions

[6:55]a person who's controlled by their emotions may not always make the

[7:00]right decision a person who's controlled and defined by the feelings that

[7:07]they have may not always make a healthy decision this is why

[7:12]Allah subhah wa ta'ala while he has given us the the emotions

[7:15]and the feelings Allah subhah wa ta'ala at the same time has

[7:23]given us the to navigate these emotions to deal with these emotions

[7:28]and when a person loses control of their emotions when a person

[7:32]does not have full control of their emotions then you see they

[7:39]start making destructive decisions please please can you stop playing with the

[7:44]put those away please so while while we have the emotions we

[8:35]unaware because they're only thinking about their Joy people are suffering the

[8:44]to go out and eat or the football game and only things

[9:29]caring about what what's going on about the suffering of others and

[9:33]what's going on another emotion that often times controls people is the

[9:41]emotion of anger Allah subhana wa tala has given us emotions anger

[9:46]sometimes it's useful sometimes with anger you could protect your principles and

[9:51]your values and your family but when anger is taken out of

[9:54]control when it's not Guided by the when it's not Guided by

[13:36]they experience this type of anxiety disorder and sometimes having that fear

[13:50]be destructive when it's good it helps you anticipate danger it helps

[13:54]you protect yourself but sometimes when it is out of control it

[13:57]leads people when people have fear that fear leads them to do

[14:02]certain things that are irrational today there are some people they're afraid

[14:07]to do good deeds they're afraid to give sodak they're afraid to

[14:11]practice their faith outside in public because they have this fear and

[14:15]anxiety you see some Muslims in the Masjid they're Muslim and they

[14:22]practice Islam the moment they leave you see they hold a totally

[14:25]different identity because they're ashamed and they're afraid of revealing that identity

[14:29]outside and some people are afraid to pray in public some people

[14:35]they are afraid to practice their hijab some people are afraid to

[14:40]associate anything with the religion you see that this is a irrational

[14:43]fear you see that here fear is controlling their life they're allowing

[14:56]they force me to not wear the hijab out of fear because

[15:01]they're afraid they come and they tell their wives you don't wear

[15:04]the hijab why this is when they allow fear to control and

[15:08]dictate their lives some people they have a fear of poverty their

[15:14]whole life they're living under the risk of Allah their whole life

[15:17]they've never slept a day hungry Allah has kept sending them the

[15:20]risk but they're afraid of poverty it's a fear that a lot

[15:25]of people have this is why some people they don't give charity

[15:27]they don't help out they don't give donations they don't give Sak

[16:21]the they used to come and bury a child because of fear

[16:38]children or be afraid of having a child out of fear of

[16:40]poverty we will give you and we will give them today in

[16:46]the United States how many abortions take place how many people are

[17:49]life is defined by fear however in the Quran Allah subh describes

[17:54]that a mmin a Believer is one that should not be afraid

[17:59]yes there are certain things that I should be afraid for there

[18:02]are certain things sometimes it's rational to make decisions that preserve and

[18:07]protect my life but we should not have irrational fear some people

[18:12]they make erratic decisions and they're controlled by fear but Allah subhana

[18:17]wa tala describes the in the Quran Their Fear does not control

[20:33]anxiety the emotion of fear these are necessary sometimes they're good when

[20:38]they're within when they are Guided by the intellect but when they're

[20:42]out of control they make a person be erratic and do irrational

[20:45]decisions in their life that end up destructing their life and destructing

[20:49]the lives of others around them we ask Allah subhana wa ta'ala

[20:56]to strengthen our emotions and to make us be from those who

[21:00]allow our emotions to bring us positively to Allah subhah wa tala
