[0:03]Alhamdulillah.

[0:25]Brothers and sisters, In our past videos regarding, we shed light on

[0:36]two types of the first one was using the name of the

[0:43]infallible or the close slave of Allah peace be upon them all

[0:46]in our supplications and asking Allah tala to fulfill our needs for

[0:52]their sake.

[0:53]For example, I ask Allah to fulfill my need for the sake

[1:00]of the holy prophet Muhammad for the sake of Im Ali peace

[1:03]be upon them both and upon their progeny or I ask Allah

[1:10]to fulfill my need for the sake of the second type of

[1:17]supplication was asking the infallible or the himself or herself to pray

[1:25]for and to ask Allah to fulfill my need.

[1:27]Tonight we're going to begin with a series of many lectures pertaining

[1:36]to the third type of and that is asking the infallible or

[1:40]the to fulfill our needs with Allah's permission subhanala.

[1:47]For example, a person will go to the holy prophet peace be

[1:52]upon him and his family or to Im Ali or to Zam

[1:56]and will complain to the infallible or the about his problems or

[2:05]about his needs and will ask the infallible or the way to

[2:09]fulfill our needs with Allah's permission.

[2:12]Subhanahu waala.

[2:15]We might ask the infallible or the w to for example uh

[2:21]grant us a particular uh a particular type of sustenance to help

[2:28]us for example in marriage or to help us in uh acquiring

[2:36]wealth etc.

[2:38]But again we ask them to help us with Allah's permission subhanahala.

[2:42]This my friends does not contradicted.

[2:47]This type of course is viewed to be problematic by certain Muslims

[2:56]today.

[2:54]Although there are many Muslims today and many Muslims in the past

[3:03]that believe or believe that this type of goes hand inhand with

[3:08]what with it is not a form of not a form of

[3:13]politism and that is al that is the truth when we come

[3:16]to the infallible or to the and we ask him to fulfill

[3:23]our need with Allah's permission subhana wa ta'ala.

[3:25]We're not falling into shik.

[3:29]We're not falling into polytheism because we believe that the infallible or

[3:35]the way can only help us with God's permission and with the

[3:43]power that Allah gave him.

[3:44]So if Allah tala if allahel does not give permission to the

[3:49]infallible or the wi or does not give him power to help

[3:54]us then he will not be able to help us and that

[3:59]belief my friends goes hand in hand with what with yes if

[4:03]someone went to the infallible or the way and asked him or

[4:08]her to help us whilst he believed that the infallible or the

[4:13]wle can help us without Allah meaning without Allah's permission subhana wa

[4:20]ta'ala or using his own power as he's independent of Allah subhanaa

[4:25]tala then that would be what that would be there's no being

[4:29]there's no creation in this universe that is independent of Allah every

[4:36]creation including the top creations of Allah his favorite creations Muhammad Ali

[4:43]Fatima Al Hassan Hussein and the nine descendants of Im Hussein every

[4:48]of Allah subhanah hah says what it says Allah Allah means what

[4:56]it means Allah he is the master is sought by everything by

[5:04]all creations for the fulfillment of their needs.

[5:08]So when one asks the infallible or the wii to help him

[5:15]or her and he believes that the infallible or the can help

[5:18]without Allah without Allah's permission without Allah's assistance and that's that is

[5:24]what that is a form of polytheism polytheism and that is what

[5:28]the Shia of do not believe in we Shia believe that the

[5:35]infallibles and the peace be upon them can only help us with

[5:38]Allah's permission and with Allah's help and assistance.

[5:43]Let us give a few examples um a few clear examples on

[5:52]this regard um to clarify what we are saying.

[5:54]Starting first of all with sickness.

[5:56]When someone is sick, he seeks who?

[6:03]He seeks a doctor.

[6:03]And in most cases that doctor is what is a fallible human

[6:06]being.

[6:07]He seeks a fallible doctor.

[6:10]When he goes to the doctor, he's not going to Allah subhana

[6:12]wa ta'ala.

[6:14]But he is saying through his own actions, if not through his

[6:18]words, he's saying to the doctor, "Oh doctor, heal me.

[6:23]Cure me." Now if this person believes that the doctor can heal

[6:28]him or cure him with Allah's permission then his action and his

[6:32]belief goes hand in hand with but if he believes that the

[6:38]doctor can heal him or help him or cure him [clears throat]

[6:40]on his own without Allahh meaning without Allah's permission then that will

[6:45]be what that will be a form of shik many Muslims in

[6:50]fact all Muslims and non-Muslims go to doctors when they are sick.

[6:57]No Muslim will tell you that when you go to the doctor,

[7:00]you are falling into politism.

[7:02]Although you're seeking someone other than Allah, you're seeking the creation of

[7:06]Allah.

[7:07]Why isn't it a form of polytheism?

[7:10]Because you believe and I believe, we believe that the doctor can

[7:15]only help us with Allah's permission subhanala.

[7:18]But Allah tala wants me when I get sick to go to

[7:25]the doctor and to seek medical advice or medical assistance from the

[7:28]doctor.

[7:28]That's number one.

[7:29]That's the first example.

[7:30]A second example is that of uh a mechanic.

[7:35]When someone's car breaks down, what does he do?

[7:39]He takes it to the mechanic.

[7:40]The mechanic is not Allah subhana wa ta'ala.

[7:43]He takes it to the creation of Allah.

[7:46]And here he's literally telling the mechanic through his actions, "Oh mechanic,

[7:52]help me.

[7:53]Fix my car." Now, if he believes that the mechanic can help

[7:56]him without Allah's permission, subhana wa ta'ala, and that will be what?

[8:00]A form of pletheism, a form of shik.

[8:04]But if he believes that the mechanic can only help him with

[8:07]Allah's permission with Allah's help then that will be his his belief

[8:15]and his action will go hand in hand with which is we'll

[8:19]give a third example the more examples we give on this regard

[8:25]the clearer the idea will become a third example is that of

[8:30]a student when the student goes to a teacher and seeks knowledge

[8:35]from the teacher.

[8:36]He is literally saying through his own actions, "Oh teacher, help me.

[8:42]Oh teacher, give me knowledge.

[8:43]I want you to benefit me.

[8:45]I want to benefit from you through the knowledge that you give

[8:49]me." The teacher is not Allah.

[8:52]The teacher is the creation of Allah subhana wa tala.

[8:55]Yet I am commanded by Allah through the Quran and the narrations

[9:04]of to go to the teacher to go to those who have

[9:06]knowledge so I may learn from them.

[9:09]So when I go to the teacher and I seek knowledge from

[9:14]my own teacher um is that a form of shik is that

[9:20]a form of polytheism?

[9:20]Well, if I believe that the teacher can teach me and benefit

[9:26]me without Allah, then yes, that is a form of polytheism.

[9:28]But if I believe and I do believe that the teacher can

[9:33]only help me and benefit me with Allah's permission subhana wa ta'ala

[9:38]with Allah's assistance then that is what that is a belief and

[9:43]an action that goes hand inhand with goes hand in hand with

[9:53]monotheism.

[9:54]We'll give one last example and that is um the example of

[9:57]a human who seeks help from friends or family members.

[10:03]For example, you're at home and you tell your son or daughter

[10:06]to bring you a cup of water or to bring you medication

[10:10]or to help you with a particular task.

[10:12]That son or daughter is what is Allah.

[10:15]That son or daughter of yours is not Allah.

[10:19]It's the creation of Allahhanaa.

[10:20]Even then you ask him or her to help you.

[10:24]So you seek help from someone other than Allah subhana wa ta'ala.

[10:28]Is that not?

[10:30]If you believe that your son or daughter or relative or cousin

[10:34]or a neighbor or a friend, if you believe that this person

[10:37]can help you only with Allah's permission and Allah's assistance.

[10:44]But if you believe that he or she can help you without

[10:46]Allahh then yes that is a form of that is a form

[10:52]of polytheism.

[10:53]Thus we've said and we say and we will continue to say

[10:56]that when we Shia go to the infallibles or the and seek

[11:02]help from them.

[11:02]who are not falling into shik because we believe mark our words

[11:09]we believe that the infallibles or the peace be upon them can

[11:13]only help us with Allah's permission and Allah's assistance these words of

[11:20]course lead us to uh bunch of questions which we will address

[11:24]in the upcoming videos alhamdulillah
