[0:14]mustafa [Music] first and foremost we congratulate sahib zaman allah he sends
[0:41]your appearance and all maraja and all believers across the globe as
[0:44]we live the birth anniversary of saiyans tonight is the eve of
[0:52]the fifth of juma and that was the day on which the
[0:56]pure the design of was there are many topics that we can
[1:06]tackle and indeed there are many lessons that we can derive from
[1:12]her life one vital lesson that we can derive is remaining hopeful
[1:19]and remaining strong even when we go through hardships or when we
[1:27]feel that the world has turned its back upon us you see
[1:32]allah created this world in a way in which he made it
[1:38]a mixture of happiness and sadness a mixture of happy times and
[1:43]sad times a mixture of ease and difficulty thus if you ask
[1:49]anyone around you whether you're asking a family member or a friend
[1:54]or a colleague or a co-worker etc about his life you'll find
[1:58]that there are happy moments or there were happy moments in his
[2:04]life and there are or were sad moment in his life you'll
[2:07]find that usually each individual has at least one or two problems
[2:12]that he's unable to solve at the moment this doesn't mean of
[2:16]course that these problems will be everlasting on the contrary every problem
[2:21]has a time limit and every problem has an end and a
[2:25]solution but in general each person amongst us has at least one
[2:33]or two problems that he faces and he feels that he's unable
[2:39]to solve them now as time passes these problems change they fade
[2:45]away the current problem goes away and then a new problem arises
[2:51]this is how this world was created this is how this world
[2:57]is made now sometimes when we fallible human beings when we go
[3:02]through problems um we get to a point where we become hopeless
[3:06]we get to a point where we might be afflicted with a
[3:11]certain disorder a psychological disorder such as anxiety or depression and the
[3:20]likes here looking at the life of saeed zainab plays a vital
[3:24]role to help an individual remain hopeful even if he's going through
[3:31]tough times looking at her life are salaam and her stances and
[3:35]her words gives us energy positive energy energy that we need in
[3:41]order to endure our problems how one will ask how the answer
[3:50]is simply when you compare what she had to face when you
[3:56]compare what she had to face to what we face you understand
[4:01]that our problems are insignificant they are nothing when compared to the
[4:05]problems tragedies and calamities that lady zainab was had to face whether
[4:14]we're looking at the loss of rasulullah or the margin of fortune
[4:25]of imam ali or the margin of imam al-hassan or last but
[4:28]not least the margin of imam and hussain abu fateh abbas and
[4:32]her beloved family members on the day of ashura say the zainab
[4:40]was a lady on whom tragedies were poured thus she was called
[4:48]the literal meaning of the mother of the tragedies tragedies were poured
[4:54]upon her according to a tradition mentioned when she was born mentioned
[5:03]to him will have a difficult life and that tragedies will be
[5:13]poured upon that girl rasulullah on the other hand informed us in
[5:19]a hadith that he who cries for ladies will receive the reward
[5:25]of he who cries for hassan and hussain now the question is
[5:31]how did say designer face these calamities what's interesting is that you
[5:41]find her to be firm she remained firm and strong not to
[5:47]say that she was emotionless not to say that she didn't cry
[5:52]or she didn't lament for her family members on the contrary especially
[5:56]when looking at imam and hussain's tragedy one sees that say cry
[6:04]over above before the tragedy happened and after she did slap herself
[6:12]or her body for imam hussain but she did so when at
[6:17]the right times she did so at the right times because expressing
[6:23]your feelings for imam hussain is necessary it's necessary to actually reveal
[6:29]impatience for abba abdullah and his music his tragedy and that's what
[6:37]sada zainab did but she remained strong and hopeful as in her
[6:43]tragedies weren't able to shake her faith her tragedies especially the tragedy
[6:52]of karbala weren't able to change ladies you see i'm speaking from
[6:59]a spiritual perspective of course the tragedies weren't able to change her
[7:02]from her spiritual perspective yes the tragedy of karbala did change her
[7:08]physical appearance such that it is said muhammad al hanafiya did not
[7:14]recognize her when he saw her in medina but her spirit was
[7:20]not changed if anything she got stronger and bigger and more complete
[7:26]although she was the embodiment of perfection and completion sometimes you find
[7:33]a person who will stop praying after he faces a particular tragedy
[7:38]i know people who have stopped salat or siam them with a
[7:47]particular task in their life whereas never complained about god or his
[7:56]treatment rather she complained to who she complained to god see there's
[8:02]a clear difference between complaining about allah about saying for example ya
[8:07]allah why did you do x y and z to me yeah
[8:11]allah why did you allow this to happen or speaking to people
[8:16]and telling them why does allah allow so and so to happen
[8:20]to me here a person is complaining about god and sometimes no
[8:26]all complain to god i'll tell him yeah allah i'm going through
[8:30]x y and z help me relieve me from my soul support
[8:36]me this is what says we have a touching yet interesting tradition
[8:46]uh that she mention salaam is let me just pull out this
[8:57]tradition here you can find it in the book kept on worshiping
[9:38]allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala on that night which night now he says she's
[9:43]referring to the tenth night of muharram meaning the evil of ashura
[9:48]possibly she's speaking about the eve of ashura or the eve of
[9:54]the eleventh of muharram what we call leilatil nonetheless fatima says sadaz
[10:01]kept on worshiping allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala in her prayer niche she was
[10:09]invoking god calling upon god asking him for help she says as
[10:17]a result we kept on crying on that night and we kept
[10:22]on wailing because they were hearing the words of their aunt sign
[10:27]up similarly on day 11 when she sees the body of abba
[10:38]hussain in a state that we cannot describe and the bodies of
[10:42]her beloved lying like sacrificial lambs on the plains of karbala sayyidah
[10:48]zainab begins lamenting imam and hussain as she addresses her grandfather rasulallah
[10:52]in that lamentation she says we complain to allah realize we complain
[11:05]to muhammad the chosen prophet and we complain the master of murders
[11:19]so she used to complain to allah her worships her spirituality was
[11:30]not affected whatsoever by her tragedies if anything her worships remained as
[11:36]they were or they got better and the same applies to her
[11:41]relationship with allah so he says that although my aunt zainab went
[12:07]through difficult tragedies although tragedies and calamities were poured upon lady zainab
[12:16]when we were on our way to sham she kept on praying
[12:24]her knight recommended prayers the night recommended prayer she kept on praying
[12:29]them you might ask what about the daily recommended prayers why doesn't
[12:35]imam and sajad islam mention them possibly because when you travel uh
[12:43]the nawaf nahariya uh you're not responsible anymore of carrying out in
[12:50]nawaz naharia we say in arabic so when you're traveling you shouldn't
[12:56]pray the daily recommended prayers but you can still pray pray pray
[13:06]the nightly recommended prayers so she kept on praying salatin for example
[13:10]in fact it is mentioned that even on the 11th of muharram
[13:16]the e of the 11th say it is so her relationship with
[13:24]allah subhanahu wa was not affected whatsoever and that indicates that her
[13:29]patience was beyond imagination that her resilience was beyond imagination as i
[13:34]told you some of us go through you know simple tragedies in
[13:39]life when compared to say the xenops tragedies simple tragedies simple hardships
[13:45]and we get afflicted with a particular disorder like depression or anxiety
[13:49]some of us become in need of what of antidepressants say did
[13:56]not need any antidepressant her antidepressant was what was calling upon allah
[14:02]was reciting quran was speaking to god subhana wa in fact in
[14:09]fact she kept on praising allah that's unbelievable it's definitely outstanding she
[14:18]kept on praising allah even though she went through so much the
[14:24]likes of us sometimes you know might not feel inclined to worship
[14:30]allah azzawajal that when we go through tough times which is wrong
[14:35]obviously which is wrong say zainab on the other hand kept on
[14:38]praising the almighty hazard because she knows the philosophy of this world
[14:43]how this world was made and she knows that anything which comes
[14:46]from allah is beautiful allah's treatment is beautiful yes the treatment of
[14:54]people might not be beautiful people might mistreat you people might oppress
[14:58]you but allah is not to be blamed even if allah doesn't
[15:04]intervene to stop them at that moment from mistreating you he isn't
[15:10]to be blamed for there is a wisdom behind his deeds and
[15:16]ultimately he will compensate you for every drop of pain you felt
[15:22]allah will compensate you and will punish those who are evil and
[15:31]those who uh bestow oppression upon mankind all of these uh thoughts
[15:36]were part of zainab's beliefs thus i'm going to remind you and
[15:45]myself of a word that we've heard of a word that we
[15:48]probably have memorized a word that she said when she entered upon
[15:59]him now the story says what it says she entered upon abhidlab
[16:04]in ziyad and she was means that she changed her clothes in
[16:11]a way where if someone looked at her he wouldn't recognize her
[16:17]so she wasn't hijab of course don't misunderstand me but she changed
[16:22]her clothes in a way where if someone saw her he wouldn't
[16:27]know this is zainab and ali even then subhanallah oh by the
[16:31]lobbins he had she caught the attention of await lebanzia so he
[16:35]asked who is this lady and he was told it is zainab
[16:40]the daughter of the commander of the faithful here almighty allah saw
[16:46]a golden opportunity to add to her pain as if he had
[16:50]not done enough as if he had not broken her heart already
[16:56]so he told her he said all praise belongs to allah he
[17:19]who exposed you killed you and revealed to the people that you
[17:27]are liars allah he's telling her reveal to the people that your
[17:32]words were a mere lie it's as if he's telling her you
[17:36]used to say that you are honorable people in the eyes of
[17:43]god that you know you are imams that allah chose your father
[17:45]ali and hassan hussain to be successors of rasulallah et cetera and
[17:50]now it's clear to the people that all of that is a
[17:54]lie now imagine hearing those words from await love in ziad put
[17:58]yourself in her shoes imagine hearing those words from um after experiencing
[18:05]the tragedy of and the tragedies of night 11 and day 11.
[18:12]what would happen to one of us it would be normal to
[18:16]burst in tears right to uh you know um to break in
[18:23]tears did not break at that point he was not able to
[18:31]break her what did she say she responded saying alhamdulillah muhammad s
[18:45]he said all praise belongs to allah he who honored us through
[18:51]his prophet muhammad and purified us thoroughly from all impurities she told
[19:05]him only he who is fosek only he who disobeys allah subhanahu
[19:11]wa'ta'ala gets exposed and only he who is fajr meaning a person
[19:17]who disobeys god and does not care about his laws only he
[19:22]who is fajr gets attributed to lying and the fossa confasion is
[19:28]someone other than us here indirectly she's telling him you are the
[19:34]fossa you're the fashion did you'd imagine that he'll respond to her
[19:42]he did not even respond to that specific word because i believe
[19:47]allah did not expect such a response from a lady who had
[19:52]lost all of her family members on one day who had seen
[19:57]that they all got butchered on the same day thus he said
[20:04]he changed the topic and he said the following he said how
[20:16]did you find allah's treatment towards your family numbers this is where
[20:21]she said the golden word that all of us have memorized she
[20:28]said only saw what is beautiful now here a question comes to
[20:35]mind and that is what's so beautiful about karbala what's so beautiful
[20:39]about it is a massacre if anyone's talking about that he would
[20:44]break in tears that's the natural reaction of witnessing the tragedy of
[20:52]karbala so what's beautiful about karbala you see you have to look
[20:56]at his question his question was about what was about allah how
[21:00]did you find allah's treatment towards your family members you didn't ask
[21:06]her how did you find our treatment banu umayya's treatment yazid's treatment
[21:12]etc had he said that yes the answer would have differed but
[21:15]he asked her about allah so she said it's as if she's
[21:21]saying allah has done nothing to us other than bestow his favor
[21:24]upon us allah cannot be blamed for whatever happened to us in
[21:31]karbala on the contrary you are blaine allah is a merciful lord
[21:34]he has bestowed his mercy upon us his grace etc then she
[21:40]said as she explains this german this beauty that she saw she
[21:53]said she he says that those people pointing to imam al-hussein and
[22:08]her family members and possibly also the companions those people are a
[22:15]group of people on whom allah decreed killing what is meant by
[22:22]this term by this word is that allah allowed them to be
[22:27]killed on the day of ashura it doesn't mean allah wanted them
[22:32]to be killed if he did then why would he seek vengeance
[22:36]for imam and hussain alaihis was not pleased with what was happening
[22:42]but he allowed it to happen for many wisdoms so she says
[22:48]these are a group of people on whom allah decreed to be
[22:53]killed that was allah's decree so what did they do she says
[23:01]thus they walked forth towards their graves meaning they walked willfully to
[23:08]their own death to their own martyrdom they did not mind sacrificing
[23:16]themselves for allah and his religion however soon he says on that
[23:40]day on that day to hasam they will be your opponents and
[23:46]they will complain to allah what you did to him what what
[23:52]you did to them thus on that day you should see marjana
[24:00]who will be victorious which party will be victorious then she tells
[24:05]him may your mother feel the pain of your loss oh son
[24:12]of marajan arjana by the way uh excuse me for my word
[24:18]was a prostitute reminds him yes of his origin she reminds him
[24:27]of his origin so that he understands what is his true value
[24:32]so you find her that she always praises allah subhanahu wa tahada
[24:37]because she knows that allah did not mistreat ahlul rather they were
[24:46]mistreated by people and if allah allowed people to mistreat them that
[24:50]doesn't mean he was pleased with it i think i've told you
[24:54]once and i'll say it again there's a difference between what allah
[24:59]allows and what pleases allah allah allows us to sin do our
[25:03]sins please him no they don't allah allows us to disbelieve does
[25:08]our disbelief please him no it doesn't so there's a difference between
[25:15]what he allows then be he and what pleases allah subhanahu wa
[25:25]in short she understood the philosophy of this world and understood and
[25:34]understood that ultimately anything that comes from allah azzawajal is beautiful that
[25:41]is one main lesson that we can learn from thus the next
[25:46]time you go through pain you go through problems miseries in your
[25:51]life and you feel like you know it's just too much it's
[25:54]too much to handle you feel like um you want to give
[26:02]up remember the tragedy you say and compare your tragedies to hers
[26:06]and remember how resilient she was at that point you'll understand that
[26:12]our problems are truly insignificant they're little thus we can be patient
[26:20]as we follow the footsteps of the patient um
