[21:50]during the holy month of Ramadan may Allah accept all your effort
[21:55]and worship inshallah when I first moved to to Kenton with my
[22:00]family I knew that there was a small Muslim Community so I
[22:06]was concerned that moving away from the larger Islamic community of debor
[22:10]and Debon eyes would have a negative impact on my kids life
[22:13]I pray to Allah for a solution and thankfully he answered my
[22:17]prayers when I attended the first Mecca ifar dinner during the night
[22:25]of power couple years ago I was blessed to meet and pray
[22:28]with a F full group of Muslim family from the local community
[22:34]I was also excited to learn that a new organization based on
[22:38]the teaching of ahul bit and under the guidance of our dear
[22:42]Imam say Salah kazini was been established here in Kon alhamdulillah since
[22:50]then Mecca leadership and volunteers have created numerous programs and opportunity for
[22:55]the family and youth to participate in so many of us in
[23:02]the community Mecca become a place we call home from spirituality to
[23:07]education to health Mecca embodies not only a mask but also a
[23:12]place of nurturing for both the youth and adult to be the
[23:18]best best version of themselves as many of you know we will
[23:21]we will be moving inshallah to a bigger space to accommodate our
[23:27]growing attendance among the many plans for our new center there will
[23:33]be a strong focus on the youth the plan include a designated
[23:39]gym area where they can play sports and have an opportunity to
[23:43]engage and spend time with other youth who share Islamic values the
[23:49]similar Islamic values this along with a proper Islamic education will help
[23:55]our kids especially the teenagers to develop strong Islamic identities so they
[24:03]don't struggle in society or deviate to an un Islamic ways in
[24:07]this holy Ramadan where Every Act of Charity is multiply we kindly
[24:15]ask for your support any contribution big or small toward addressing the
[24:21]need of this beautiful growing Muslim family in and around Kenton will
[24:26]make a difference in our children future your contribution will be considered
[24:32]sadaka jeria by either a recurring monthly payment donation or by sponsoring
[24:38]a musala in the new center if you are interested or need
[24:45]help with sponsorship please see one of the board Mecca board members
[24:50]and now without further delay I would like to call upon our
[24:54]respected speaker say Muhammad sadik Al kazini to continue to Enlighten us
[25:01]with his knowledge and guidance for tonight's lecture after Salat Muhammad thank
[25:09]you ald [Music] illuminate your hearts and souls with the remembrance of
[26:29]Muhammad muham respected Elders brothers and sisters many beliefs within the holy
[26:42]religion of Islam are based on logic from logic we can we
[26:51]can conclude that this world has been created by a God and
[26:55]this God is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala from logic we can conclude
[27:03]that this world and the Creator must be one creator meaning that
[27:08]logic leads us directly to monotheism and then we have a set
[27:15]of beliefs that differ that are based on what Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala
[27:21]tells us one of them is the prophets of Allah subhanahu wa
[27:29]tala because when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala sends prophets the prophets have
[27:36]to prove themselves to be in touch with the Divine and one
[27:39]way to prove themselves is through Miracles every prophet of Allah subhanahu
[27:45]wa tala had a miracle no had a miracle Moses had a
[27:51]miracle ibraim had a miracle Isa had a miracle and our own
[27:53]Prophet Muhammad also had a miracle he had multiple miracles and perhaps
[28:00]the biggest miracle and definitely the biggest Miracle of all is the
[28:06]miracle of the Holy Quran and what sets the Holy Quran apart
[28:11]is that the Quran is a living Miracle because when mus split
[28:19]the sea a while later the sea went back in its original
[28:23]form when Jesus Isa revived the dead that that person died later
[28:30]on and that Miracle died along with it but the Holy Quran
[28:38]still exists with us today and it's living proof of a miracle
[28:41]that is sent from Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala and until today the challenge
[28:47]is open if you're able to produce a book like the Quran
[28:50]that has the knowledge and the eloquence of the Quran the Precision
[28:54]of the Quran then do so and therefore we see that this
[28:57]miracle is still still alive with us today and so the prophets
[29:04]of Allah prove themselves and when they do everything that they tell
[29:11]us we accept 100% what a prophet tells us what the Quran
[29:14]tells us is considered to be fact sometimes the Holy Quran tells
[29:21]us of things that we can see with our with our very
[29:23]own eyes and sometimes no sometimes what Allah subhanahu wa tala teaches
[29:28]us through the Holy Quran we can't see and that is what
[29:33]Allah subhanahu wa taala refers [Music] to Allah subhah wa says the
[29:50]Quran this book there's no doubt in it it is a guide
[29:56]for those who fear Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala those who believe in
[30:02]the Unseen and the Holy Quran is filled with stories and information
[30:07]about the Unseen I ask you a question has anyone here seen
[30:13]heaven or hell no but do you believe in heaven and hell
[30:19]of course why even though we can't see it Allah subana wa
[30:22]tala tells us about it and that's part of the Unseen how
[30:27]many of us here has seen any of the Angels mik mik
[30:32]is we've never seen any of them but we still believe in
[30:37]them why because Allah subhanahu wa tala tells them about us tells
[30:42]us about them so that's part of the Unseen and one interesting
[30:49]part about the Unseen that I'd like to focus on tonight is
[30:52]a world that we've all experienced a world that you and I
[30:58]and everyone here and everyone that existed and everyone who will exist
[31:02]has been through and that is what our Scholars and the call
[31:12]and in tonight's lecture I'd like to focus on the following points
[31:19]what happened in and how does impact our life until today but
[31:29]before we answer these questions let us recite Allah subhanahu wa taala
[31:43]in the Holy Quran he says and when your lord took from
[31:54]the children of Adam from their loins their descendants and he asked
[32:01]them to look at themselves am I not your lord and then
[32:08]he asks and then everyone responds we testify that you oh Allah
[32:15]are our Lord and then the verse continues this is also that
[32:28]you don't say on the the day of judgment that you were
[32:30]unaware of this now I ask you a question does anyone here
[32:35]remember a day in which Allah subhah wa tala speaks to you
[32:38]and asks you to look at yourself and then testify that he
[32:44]is your lord does anyone remember such a day no and that's
[32:48]because it never happened in this world and the they teach us
[32:56]that this incident happened prior to this world in a world that
[33:00]we don't remember a world that every single human being experienced and
[33:07]so what happened is prior to the creation of our bodies Allah
[33:12]subhanahu wa ta'ala gathers the entirety of humanity Ben Adam so Adam
[33:22]his children Hab and and the remaining of their descendants Until the
[33:27]End of Days and Allah subhanahu wa tala gathers us together and
[33:32]our Scholars say that our bodies are not gathered but our souls
[33:36]because this event takes place prior to the creation of our bodies
[33:44]it's just their souls and the narration describes the scene it says
[33:49]that there's so many human beings to the point that they look
[33:51]like just small dots and that's why it's called it's called the
[33:57]world of particles it doesn't mean that we're particles but it's we're
[34:01]so small compared to the entire Scene It feels like everyone is
[34:08]a small particle and so Allah subhah wa tala gathers us and
[34:16]then he asks us look at yourselves so we all take a
[34:20]deep look into ourself and then he asks us do you testify
[34:27]that I am your lord and we say yes and so the
[34:34]question is why did Allah subhana ask us to look at oursel
[34:39]and then what's the relation to that and the following question do
[34:46]you accept me as your lord what's the relationship between looking at
[34:52]ourselves and testifying that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is our Lord and
[34:59]the narrations they tell us that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala at that
[35:03]moment when he first created us he's essentially telling us this look
[35:09]at yourself who brought you here you don't even have a body
[35:15]did you come through your own will or were you just brought
[35:23]into this place do you have the power to leave or are
[35:28]you powerless and so Allah subhanahu wa tala in the very first
[35:33]moments of our creation he gives us that that knowledge that we
[35:38]have no power that we are created by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
[35:46]that this universe depends on him and we depend on him and
[35:50]then when we take a deep look at ourselves that's when we
[35:57]have the understanding because if we human beings are left unchecked and
[36:04]sometimes it happens to us in this world when someone gets a
[36:10]little bit of money or they get a high-paying job or they're
[36:13]feeling good about themselves all of a sudden they begin to forget
[36:16]about anything as if no one has created them as if we
[36:24]don't have any obligations towards Allah subhah wa tala indeed human beings
[36:33]transgress against Allah subhah wa tala when do they transgress the moment
[36:37]he feels it just takes a feeling a second the moment we
[36:41]feel that we are self-sufficient our egos take control and so Allah
[36:49]subhah wa ta'ala in that very first moment of Our Lives he
[36:53]puts our our egos in check he says no I'm the one
[36:58]who created you take a deep look at yourself and now testify
[37:03]and that's why we have so many in this context in which
[37:12]for example says he who knows himself will know Allah subhah wa
[37:21]tala and that's in relation to this incident because when we understand
[37:26]ourselves when we realize how small we are in comparison to Allah
[37:32]subhah wa ta'ala we begin to understand Allah subh and another Hadith
[37:39]in which he says those who fear Allah subhah wa tala the
[37:48]most are those who understand themselves the most when we understand ourselves
[37:53]in relationship in relation to Allah subhana tala and that's the first
[38:01]moments of our lives in Allah subhah waala puts a check to
[38:07]our ego and unfortunately we see that sometimes in this world we
[38:17]forget that look at Academia for example you know you expect that
[38:21]you you'd expect that someone who becomes a scientist someone who gains
[38:25]knowledge about how this World works you'll expect that they become closer
[38:33]to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala but when you look at the data
[38:37]you see that most scientists in the west are either agnostic or
[38:41]atheist you'd expect that someone who understands physics someone who studies chemistry
[38:48]would realize the intricate details that Allah subhah wa tala has placed
[38:55]in everything but all of a sudden you see that their percentage
[38:59]the percentage of scientists compared to any other population is lower in
[39:06]terms of religiosity most scientists in the west are disbelievers in Allah
[39:11]subhana why do they like the knowledge no they don't La the
[39:15]knowledge they're more knowledgeable than the vast majority of people they know
[39:19]how things work but their ego comes in place their ego controls
[39:25]It Takes the Wheel when that happens they begin to convince themselves
[39:32]you know I am able to explain how this world works and
[39:38]I don't think that it requires a God and that's the nature
[39:46]of the human being so Allah subhah wa tala and they teach
[39:50]us if you ever feel like your ego is taking the lead
[39:58]is taking the wheel then ask Allah subhah waala for Refuge oh
[40:06]Allah I seek Refuge to you from knowledge that does not benefit
[40:11]me that knowledge that harms me because what's the point of gaining
[40:18]knowledge that increases our ego anyways so Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in
[40:26]the very first moments of Our Lives he asks us to take
[40:31]a look at ourselves and then he asks us directly do you
[40:36]testify that I am your lord and the verse says every single
[40:40]human being in creation says yes we testify we testify that you
[40:49]Allah subhah wa tala is our Lord our creator every single human
[40:56]being so one day they askam they ask the prophet they tell
[41:12]him you claim to be the Seal of the prophets the last
[41:15]of the prophets but what makes you so much better than the
[41:18]rest of the prophets how are you better than other prophets and
[41:24]so the prophet responds he tells them on the day of when
[41:31]Allah subhanahu wa taala asks everyone to testify I was the first
[41:38]to testify that Allah subhah wa taala is my Lord and therefore
[41:41]I am the first human being that believed in Allah subhana wa
[41:44]tala and so the narrations they tell us that every human being
[41:50]regardless of their circumstance regardless of where they end up they testify
[41:55]through their tongue but not everyone believes believes in their heart and
[42:00]so Allah subhanahu wa tala to show everyone including those who believe
[42:04]reminding them and those who disbelieve he wants to show them that
[42:09]he's all knowing so what does he do he creates a test
[42:14]for us in what he does is he creates a fire and
[42:18]he asks every human being to run into the fire and so
[42:26]the narration says a large group of Believers without any hesitation they
[42:32]run into the fire and jump but a small or a large
[42:37]group whatever you want to call it even if it was one
[42:43]person that was considered to be a large group because you're going
[42:45]against Allah subhana tala but a group of people remain they don't
[42:51]jump into the fire and Allah subhana T asks them why didn't
[42:55]you jump into the fire they say oh Allah it's hot we'll
[43:00]die so Allah subhah wa taala takes the first group out of
[43:05]the fire and that group is completely undamaged there's no damage whatsoever
[43:10]as if they never jumped and so Allah subhana tells them that
[43:15]fire never Burns it doesn't burn so I'll ask you one more
[43:20]time go ahead and jump and so they run and as they
[43:26]reach the verge of the fire they stop stop oh Allah we
[43:30]can feel it it's about to burn us and that happens three
[43:35]times and the third time the Angels say it's over it's okay
[43:42]this is not the dun you failed the test here but you
[43:47]have another try in this dun the purpose of this test was
[43:53]for Allah subhanahu wa tala to show human beings from the very
[43:58]first one until the very last one that I'm all knowing you
[44:03]can't lie to me I know and I will know if you're
[44:09]if you're a Believer or if you're a disbeliever so Allah subhana
[44:14]wa tala makes out this test and then the Angels speak and
[44:20]they say on the day of judgment we will testify that we
[44:24]witnessed all of this but the question remains is none of us
[44:31]remember any of that we're just depending on what the Quran is
[44:34]telling us and Allah subhana wa tala in the Holy Quran is
[44:39]saying I will hold you accountable for that day because I spoke
[44:46]with you but the question is how is that fair how is
[44:51]it fair that Allah subhanal is telling us in this holy book
[44:55]that one day I spoke to you and you testified but we
[45:01]don't remember what about the millions of people the billions of people
[45:06]almost half of Earth's population does not believe in Allah subhana wa
[45:10]tala how is that fair and the answer to that is that
[45:18]yes we may have forgotten about that day but the message of
[45:22]that day Still Remains within us we may have forgotten about what
[45:27]happened exactly but we remember the contents we remember the main message
[45:35]what is the main message believing in Allah subhana wa tala and
[45:40]Allah subhah wa tala in the Holy Quran he says when I
[45:41]created every single one of you I created you with something called
[45:48]there is an innate disposition within us wanting to worship Allah subhanahu
[45:53]wa ta'ala when we're created so set your face towards the religion
[46:06]of pure Islam monotheism for that is the nature of all things
[46:13]that is the nature in which Allah subhah wa tala placed in
[46:19]our hearts and this brothers and sisters is corroborated by science it's
[46:23]not something that the Quran says and that's it no no no
[46:25]if you go back to science you will see that even s
[46:29]scientists today they tell us that human beings are born with a
[46:32]natural tendency wanting to worship Allah subhah wa tala a scientist by
[46:40]the name of Andrew Newberg a world-renowned neurologist someone who studies brains
[46:47]he has a fascinating book by the name of how God changes
[46:51]your brain I recommend everyone to read that book how God changes
[46:56]your brain he concludes based on all of the research that he
[47:01]did that human beings naturally the brain craves a sense of spirituality
[47:11]and worshiping of a greater entity because Allah subhah wa ta'ala created
[47:17]us with that natural inclination wanting to worship him and that that
[47:25]knowledge of God that craving to worship was built into us on
[47:36]the day of before our bodies were created Allah subhah wa taala
[47:41]embedded that in us and sometimes we may ask but we don't
[47:49]set we don't see that natural inclination in other people we may
[47:54]have it but what happened to others the inclination is there but
[47:59]they're not wanting to go to it and when someone has the
[48:05]opportunity when you speak to someone you see if they haven't damaged
[48:08]themselves too much they'll come back they'll learn they'll want to come
[48:16]to religion and we see that when things get difficult in life
[48:19]you see that people want to want help and they begin to
[48:22]raise their heads up in the sky even if they don't believe
[48:26]in Allah subhana wa tala because in the hard moments they realize
[48:31]that there is something greater and sometimes the brains know something and
[48:38]our body knows something but we're not just we're just not conscious
[48:42]of it I'll give you an example if someone hasn't taken AP
[48:47]Bio or you know the biology of a human being and they
[48:51]don't know where the kidney is and where the lung is and
[48:53]where the heart is is the heart still going to work the
[48:59]heart is going to work the brain is going to send will
[49:05]send the message to the heart to pump and the kidney will
[49:10]function and the leg will function and everything will function even if
[49:14]we don't know where our organs where internal organs are how because
[49:20]our mind our brain subconsciously knows of it even if we don't
[49:24]know the term even if we don't know it consciously because every
[49:28]human being has a subconscious mind and that is embedded within the
[49:33]subconscious mind of the human being that inclination to worship Allah subhah
[49:39]wa tala so Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala out of his Mercy he
[49:46]creates us with a head start he creates us with an inclination
[49:52]to worship him it's easy to worship Allah subhah wa tala and
[49:58]it's hard to deviate that's what Islam teaches us it's hard to
[50:02]be a bad person it's easy to be a good person it's
[50:08]easy to worship Allah subhana wa tala when you worship Allah on
[50:11]these beautiful nights when you read the Holy Quran When you pray
[50:17]when you come here and listen to my boring lectures don't you
[50:21]feel good about yourself maybe not about the lecture part but maybe
[50:25]du about the Quran you feel good about yourself but what if
[50:34]someone doesn't pray what if someone steals what if someone does bad
[50:40]would they feel good about themselves no they'll sleep guilty because Allah
[50:44]subhanahu wa taala has embedded that thing within us that's called f
[50:50]it's that natural inclination wanting to worship Allah subhana tala wanting to
[50:56]return turn to good and therefore the Hadith say that without that
[51:06]natural inclination that was embedded within us on no one would have
[51:12]worshiped Allah subhah wa tala thanks to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala gave us
[51:16]that Head Start and thanks to that we worship Allah subhanahu wa
[51:20]ta'ala in the Hadith the IM is talking talking about and the
[51:30]context of and this can be found in the IM says and
[51:37]without that day no one would have known Allah subhanahu wa tala
[51:43]and therefore in his beautiful he says it's okay that we don't
[51:48]remember that day it's okay that we don't remember because what matters
[51:54]is that we know the content of the message and the content
[51:59]of the message is that we should worship Allah subhah wa ta'ala
[52:01]and Allah subhana wa taala has given us that naturally he created
[52:11]us with it so that is the biggest impact of on this
[52:16]thanks to we worship Allah subhanahu waala there's another impact and something
[52:23]that some of you might find interesting sometimes we meet people and
[52:31]you've never met that person before but the moment you meet that
[52:35]person you feel that you love that person or you feel that
[52:42]you've known that person for years we experience that sometimes and sometimes
[52:49]we meet people and for some reason we just can't stand that
[52:54]person it happens to the best of us and so the narrations
[53:02]of the they tell us that on the day of in that
[53:07]world there were so many human beings and the souls were there
[53:13]and the souls began conversing with one another or seeing one another
[53:18]so whoever you saw on that day or conversed with on that
[53:26]day you'll naturally like and whoever you didn't see or stayed away
[53:30]from in this dun you'll naturally not like it's narrated that he's
[53:40]sitting and all of a sudden a group of people come to
[53:47]and one of them he looks at and he tells him oh
[53:58]I love you so the IM he responds he tells him but
[54:04]I don't love you it's weird why would with his with his
[54:11]nobility look at someone and tell him I don't love you so
[54:13]the man responds and he says no I love you tells him
[54:19]I don't love you it's very simple three times I love you
[54:24]I don't love you you know who that man wasd the killer
[54:36]of knew but the message here let me be very clear the
[54:42]next time you see someone and you don't like them don't make
[54:47]a natural you know conclusion that I didn't see that person in
[54:50]and I shouldn't like them no no no that is for the
[54:53]but this is just an interesting fact that the imams tell us
[54:57]in the Nar of we should always strive to have nice a
[55:02]nice smile on our face when we meet people when we talk
[55:06]to people and sometimes we have a bad first impression but the
[55:09]next time we talk to them we see that no this person's
[55:13]wonderful I misjudged and that's the second impact of in our world
[55:21]today the third one is another impact but it hasn't happened yet
[55:25]and an impact that I pray that every single one of us
[55:31]in this room inshallah has the opport opportunity to see and that
[55:35]is when the Imam appears he will change some laws and one
[55:45]of them is the law of inheritance why because on the day
[55:52]of Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala essentially made Brotherhood between people you know how
[56:03]the prophet sallallahu alaihi when he first went to Mecca he made
[56:07]every two people Brothers in Islam in years before Allah subhanahu wa
[56:15]tala did the same thing so you and I all have a
[56:22]brother or a sister from now that doesn't impact us yet but
[56:30]when the IM he reappears he will change the laws of inheritance
[56:35]to the point that you will inherit your sibling from so siblings
[56:44]in this world or family members in this world based on this
[56:49]duny will not inherit one another rather the laws of inheritance will
[56:55]be based on Al IM he says in a beautiful Hadith so
[57:09]the Imam tells us this all happened 2,000 years before our bodies
[57:13]were created Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala he made them brothers in the the
[57:29]IM will allow them to inherit one another in this so the
[57:38]laws will change we ask Allah subhah wa tala to allow us
[57:42]to see that beautiful day so essentially all of us are born
[57:49]with a natural inclination to worship Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and that
[57:54]is out of the mercy of Allah subhana wa tala and Allah
[57:56]subhanahu wa tala tells us about this day in the Holy Quran
[58:01]now why is it that he made us forget about it it's
[58:07]a test because Allah subhah wa tala wants us to believe in
[58:11]the Unseen but we can see that in the natural inclination of
[58:18]human beings wanting to worship Allah subhana tala that's one number two
[58:23]is what we mentioned about inheritance and number three is what Allah
[58:31]subhanahu waala tells us and the IMs tell us about meeting one
[58:34]another we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to accept our deeds in
[58:40]these holy nights we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to grant us
[58:44]the intercession of the and we ask Allah subhana to allow us
[58:49]to see the beautiful day in which reappears let us end this
[58:57]lecture with the remembrance of IM let us all stand in his
[59:06][Music] honor Al together [Music] mam
