[0:12][Music] as Salah allahar Akbar alh ald muh respected brothers and sister
[3:30]sisters there is no question that our lives and our afterlife our
[3:40]life and our afterlife is shaped by our actions whatever you do
[3:46]in this life it will have an impact on you not only
[3:52]in the not only on the day of judgment but you will
[3:54]also see the consequences of your actions in this dun we have
[4:02]verses in the Quran we have narrations that discuss this now usually
[4:07]we see the consequences of our actions in the afterlife but sometimes
[4:14]there are certain things that we do where the consequence will be
[4:18]immediate in this life as well as the afterlife for example there
[4:23]are certain things that you could do in your life that will
[4:26]increase the Baraka that will increase the blessings to your life Allah
[4:31]subhah wa ta'ala will bless you for certain things that you do
[4:38]for example giving s you give charity the narration says that Allah
[4:43]will remove the balah Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will give you and
[4:47]increase your risk Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala or if you have you're
[4:52]connected with your family Allah subhah wa ta'ala will prolong your life
[4:56]these are some things that we cannot science cannot come in tell
[5:01]us how there's a correlation behind this but there are verses in
[5:07]the Quran there's from and from the prophets and the imams now
[5:14]there's also certain things that bring the wrath of Allah subhanahu wa
[5:19]ta'ala upon us there are certain things certain actions that we do
[5:27]that take away the from Allah from us that Allah subhanahu wa
[5:31]ta'ala take away his blessings from us we mention in Dua K
[5:35]the Dua that is recited on Thursday nights or anytime by he
[5:53]says oh Allah forgive me for the sins that bring God's wrath
[6:00]upon me forgive me for the sins that take away the blessings
[6:03]from me forgive me for the sins that hold down the Dua
[6:11]they contain and restrict the Dua from reaching Allah subhana tala from
[6:17]amongst from amongst those sins those actions that have immediate consequences is
[6:28]oppression oppressing other people oppressing anyone in this life anyone around you
[6:37]the consequences are immediate the consequences will be sensed and will be
[6:44]felt in this D before the and of course when we talk
[6:50]about oppression there's several types of Oppression sometimes I could be oppressing
[6:53]God sometimes I could be oppressing myself sometimes I could be oppressing
[6:59]other people and with each category with each type of Oppression the
[7:05]consequences are different he says he says oppression is three time three
[7:15]types there's one oppression that God does not forgive and what is
[7:20]that associating a partner with God because you are not even acknowledging
[7:27]God at that point you're you believe that there's someone else you're
[7:31]worshiping someone else and something else and then there's another that Allah
[7:38]will not leave behind and then there's a third type that is
[7:45]that Allah subhana will forgive he says as for the oppression that
[7:54]God does not forgive is associating a partner with God associating a
[7:58]partner with God Allah does not forgive why because you're asking someone
[8:02]else you're worshiping someone else or something else and you want God
[8:07]to reward you does that make sense it doesn't make sense as
[8:14]for the the oppression that God forgives this is when we oppress
[8:18]ourselves when we do wrong when we make mistakes and then we
[8:25]feel the repentance we ask Allah Allah will forgive us for these
[8:32]and as for the that Allah says I will forgive you from
[8:36]my part but I still can't forgive you for it because you
[8:39]need to go and settle your score with other people and that
[8:43]is when we oppress other people that is when we become tyrannical
[8:46]towards other people that is when we start hurting and abusing and
[8:50]oppressing other people and this is something that we will be held
[8:55]accountable for some people this is why you have to be very
[9:00]careful and when we think of when we think of Oppression we
[9:05]think of for example a king oppressing people a president oppressing people
[9:10]no sometimes a husband and wife they could be oppressing one another
[9:15]sometimes neighbors could be oppressing one another sometimes children could be oppressing
[9:20]one another and this is something that is very common this something
[9:25]that happens all the time and we have to be very careful
[9:29]from it maybe you might oppress someone in your household maybe you
[9:33]might oppress an animal Allah subhana wa tala will hold you accountable
[9:37]for an employee whatever it is and we have to be very
[9:41]careful because some people they say no no no I have enough
[9:43]Good Deeds I have so many good deeds that I will go
[9:48]to heaven immediately it's okay if I've oppressed people there's a Hadith
[9:52]from he says on the day of judgment the person will come
[10:03]before God and he is very proud of his Good Deeds his
[10:08]Good Deeds have made him very happy you're standing and you think
[10:18]you're going to have an expedited pass to Paradise until someone comes
[10:24]and says oh Allah this person has oppressed me oh Allah this
[10:28]person hurt me oh Allah this person did this and this to
[10:33]wrong me Allah will take from The Good Deeds is saying this
[10:43]Allah takes from The Good Deeds of this man who has so
[10:47]many good deeds and he will compense and he will give the
[10:49]other person the other person who was oppressed he will give him
[10:54]and give him and give him until the score is settled and
[10:57]then he says then more and more people they come and they
[11:06]say this person oppressed me he has a lot of good deeds
[11:10]but he he used to oppress people so then he ran out
[11:14]of Good Deeds he ran out of Good Deeds so that they
[11:16]give other people so now says they come and they give him
[11:21]the bad Deeds of other people they give him the bad Deeds
[11:24]of other people they keep they keep taking from him the good
[11:32]deeds and they keep giving him the bad Deeds to settle the
[11:36]score because of his oppression until this person is thrown in the
[11:39]Hellfire my dear brothers and sisters the consequences the consequences of Oppression
[11:47]are severe and we should not take it lightly even if maybe
[11:53]you might see someone who is beneath you maybe someone who works
[11:56]under you maybe between a husband and wife one word maybe between
[12:00]a father and a son whatever it is we have to be
[12:07]very careful not to be from the not to be from the
[12:09]oppressors and there are consequences one of the first and immediate consequences
[12:14]of is that it destroys the heart destroys the heart maybe your
[12:20]money maybe your bank account maybe all of these things are not
[12:25]going to be touched but the moment you become an oppressor your
[12:28]heart is going to be infected and once the heart is infected
[12:32]then this heart is not powerful enough to reach Allah subhah wa
[12:39]ta'ala then this heart the Dua cannot take off then we see
[12:42]why is our Dua not being accepted why is Allah subhah wa
[12:47]taala not listening to us because we are asking Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala
[12:51]with a heart that is filled with oppression and this is why
[12:55]we have to be very careful not to taint our hearts with
[13:00]wrong doing there's other consequences from amongst the other consequences he says
[13:11]oppression in this D it will make you slip on the on
[13:16]the day of judgment you know there's a there's a path that
[13:19]everyone has to go over that path that everyone has to go
[13:24]over imagine it a bridge taking you to paradise and beneath you
[13:30]is the Hellfire meaning it will make a person slip on the
[13:37]day you're not going to have a solid foundation on the day
[13:44]of judgment and it takes away the takes away the blessings from
[13:48]Allah subhanahu waala and not only does it destroy one person but
[13:56]it destroys Nations it destroys Nation Nations yes let these nations have
[14:03]the strongest military in the world let this nation have the most
[14:07]powerful f-16s the moment it becomes and it crosses into it crosses
[14:17]into oppressing other people not dealing with other people with Justice Allah
[14:23]subhah wa taala tells us in the Quran that not only your
[14:25]nation but all the nations before that were oppressors they were [Music]
[14:36]destroyed Allah says all of these nations that were destroyed that Allah
[14:40]mentions in the Quran they were destroyed not because of their kufur
[14:45]there's there's narrations that say that a kufur a cfir person as
[14:52]long as they're not hurting anyone Allah says you live you're not
[14:55]hurting anyone but the moment you begin to transgress the moment you
[14:58]begin to oppress whether you're Muslim or cfir or whatever it is
[15:03]that's the moment that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will destroy that nation
[15:07]that is the moment Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will take away the
[15:17]power from you this is one the fourth is that with life
[15:21]of a person is shortened the life of a nation and the
[15:27]life of an individual the Hadith says the one who oppresses their
[15:34]life will be cut their age will be cut short and there's
[15:38]a correlation between we mentioned earlier if you have a healthy tie
[15:44]with your family Allah will prolong your life and if you disconnect
[15:46]with your family Allah will take from your life because when you
[15:52]disconnect from your family essentially what are you doing you're doing you're
[15:57]oppressing them you're oppressing them so therefore there is the Allah subhanahu
[16:02]wa ta'ala will cut from a person's life now maybe Allah subhanahu
[16:07]wa ta'ala talking about life some people say yeah but we see
[16:10]this mentioned but why do we see these nations they oppress they
[16:14]abuse and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala allows them to carry on with
[16:21]their oppression the reality my dear brothers and sisters is that in
[16:26]the end all oppressors will lose no oppressor will win in the
[16:29]eyes of Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala but sometimes Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala because
[16:35]God works not like us we want something we want it right
[16:40]away Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala maybe God sees an oppressor but Allah will
[16:45]allow this oppressor to remain for a short while short while because
[16:49]compared to Eternity this person this person is definitely going maybe a
[16:54]couple of months maybe a couple of years for certain reasons one
[16:57]of the reasons is the that Allah subhah wa ta'ala gives everyone
[17:02]the opportunity to turn back to him Allah subhana wa ta'ala gives
[17:06]everyone the opportunity to repent and turn back to Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala
[17:11]this is one and we all any this is why anytime we
[17:15]have done something wrong anytime we have oppressed anytime we hurt ourselves
[17:21]or hurt other people we have to immediately turn back to Allah
[17:25]subhana tala immediately ask for and turn to Allah second sometimes Allah
[17:31]allows aim to stay in power to stay in their position because
[17:35]God is just Allah is and Allah subhah wa tala maybe this
[17:41]has done this much but they've also done some good in their
[17:44]life right maybe they've done something good in their life so Allah
[17:51]subhana wa taala says that this person yes because of their because
[17:54]of their disbelief because of their wrongdoing they're not going to go
[17:57]to heaven so let me give them the few remaining days in
[18:03]this D let them enjoy this D and this is why Allah
[18:05]says in the Quran some people Allah just gives them this duny
[18:14]but in the they don't have anything in the they're not going
[18:18]to have anything because they were only focused on this Dunya maybe
[18:22]this person was aim but maybe they were doing something good there's
[18:26]a Hadith it says that pharaoh he used to because he used
[18:33]to see himself as God so he used to feed people every
[18:35]day every day he used to order for 500 sheep to be
[18:40]slaughtered and feed people because he used to regard himself as R
[18:43]and he says by I'm God I have to feed people so
[18:47]he kept doing this for a while then he saw it's not
[18:51]you know it's not getting him anything they're they're still not worshiping
[18:55]him so he goes to Haman Haman was his advice visor and
[18:59]Allah subhana T mentions Haman in the Quran as well he tells
[19:04]Haman he tells him how should I cut short how should I
[19:06]end this ham tells him every day Slaughter one sheep less so
[19:14]say for example you Slaughter 500 sheep tomorrow Slaughter 499 because if
[19:19]you just suddenly stop then they're going to protest they're going to
[19:24]not they're going to turn against you every day cut one short
[19:29]and the Hadith says he started cutting one short 499 498 497
[19:34]he started going down until the last day he gave the last
[19:40]day of his life he slaughtered one the next day where there
[19:42]was no there was nothing good coming out of him that was
[19:47]the day died that was the day the punishment of Allah subhanahu
[19:49]wa'ta'ala Came Upon F sometimes we don't realize it we look at
[19:52]this person as pure evil but maybe this person is doing some
[19:57]good Allah subhah wa ta'ala looks at the equation and Allah allows
[20:01]this to remain in this D only not in the and another
[20:08]reason the third reason is that sometimes Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala allows a
[20:15]person to to because this person is not worthy because this person
[20:20]has done so much wrong Allah says take more of this D
[20:26]so that you fall worse and worse away from Allah tala in
[20:30]a from he says Allah meaning God is patient God is Not
[20:37]Hasty like us until the says yes I did whatever I did
[20:46]and God did not punish me then Allah will take this person
[20:57]in a time that they least except expect in says he says
[21:12]says that God praised himself he said when he punished this is
[21:27]in verse 45 my dear brothers and sisters I will conclude here
[21:31]to go on to the second alhamdulillah [Music] [Music] muham [Music] muham
[23:07]husin Muhammed Ali Muhammad almami my dear brothers and sisters as we
[23:35]are speaking of Oppression today and these days we and the whole
[23:41]world is witnessing oppression before our eyes we are witnessing a genocide
[23:48]take place we are witnessing the bombing and the destruction of homes
[23:55]of innocent people women and children and families that have nothing to
[24:03]do with the political situation they are being killed and bombed day
[24:08]and night while the whole world is watching and the whole world
[24:12]is quiet and silent and this is oppression if this is not
[24:16]oppression then what is oppression and we see and we know that
[24:26]a just leader should not be oppressing a just leader should not
[24:30]dehumanize people a just leader should recognize the rights of every single
[24:36]human being a just leader should not be biased and have bias
[24:42]towards other people but in the past few days we have seen
[24:45]the leadership in America and at the helm the president of the
[24:52]United States of America oppressing people treating people with Injustice dehumanizing ing
[24:59]the Palestinian people where the number the number of people that have
[25:05]been killed he comes and he questions it a hospital is bombed
[25:12]and he comes and he questions this where the United States under
[25:17]the leadership of Biden keeps vetoing United Nations resolutions that are calling
[25:23]for a ceasefire and above all of that they are giving the
[25:27]bombs and the weapons and the green and the green light for
[25:33]Israel to carry out its genocide and its oppression where innocent people
[25:38]are being killed where members of the United Nations are being killed
[25:43]where the press the Press members of the press and the family
[25:47]of members of the press are being targeted just to silence just
[25:54]to silence people over 7,000 people have been killed and this conflict
[26:00]so far and this bombing indiscriminate bombing where over 19,000 people have
[26:06]been injured and from those who were killed and those who were
[26:10]injured are many children we've seen the children on TV we've seen
[26:17]the corpses of these children being carried by their parents and by
[26:22]others my dear brothers and sisters this is not Justice and the
[26:26]irony is that the president of the United States and these countries
[26:30]they speak in the name of Human Rights they speak in the
[26:35]name of Justice they bully other countries because they're not just they
[26:40]bully other countries and they invade other countries because these countries do
[26:46]not recognize human rights where are the human rights right now if
[26:49]the people of Palestine were animals you would see more people speak
[26:53]out against them against this oppression if they were anything other than
[27:00]who they are just because they are the people of Palestine you
[27:03]see the whole world is silent Democrats Republicans everyone is quiet no
[27:09]one is defending them ignore the fact that they're Muslim they're human
[27:13]beings how can you allow for human beings for innocent human beings
[27:20]to be treated in this in this way and my dear brothers
[27:22]and sisters this is not right this is Injustice these are the
[27:29]double stand standards that we see carried out by politicians we need
[27:33]to go back to our Humanity we need to learn how to
[27:39]treat with people with Justice regardless of their religion regardless of their
[27:43]sect regardless of their faith no innocent person is supposed to be
[27:48]treated like that Allah subhah wa ta'ala is The Giver of Life
[27:50]and Allah is the one who takes the life no one has
[27:54]the right to take the life of an innocent person let me
[28:01]conclude with this he was a very just leader and and the
[28:08]reason I want to say this is because witnessed oppression before his
[28:13]eyes and he is the first victim of Oppression but that did
[28:18]not make him an oppressor he ruled he ruled for a few
[28:21]years but he never oppressed not even an ant he says if
[28:27]I were to be given the seven heavens and everything that they
[28:33]have so that I take a piece of grain from an ant
[28:34]I would never do that I would never treat an ant with
[28:40]Injustice let alone a person he says he says I would rather
[29:00]be tied up and dragged in the desert where all the Thorns
[29:03]go into my body and I would rather have that happen to
[29:09]me than I oppress a single person than I take away something
[29:12]wrongfully from a single person in one of his he mentions how
[29:21]the army of mu they started encroaching on the land that was
[29:25]ruling he was the but mua declared his own government in sham
[29:31]and they started raiding some of the villages and some of the
[29:39]cities that is the ruler of so they attacked albar albar is
[29:43]the west of Iraq and in those places there were Villages where
[29:48]there were Muslims and non-muslims mu meaning Christians and Jews that were
[29:56]living under the protection of the Islamic government and the Army the
[30:02]army of muaw they would come and they would sack and raid
[30:08]and kill and abuse and steal from people regardless of their religion
[30:12]so he says he says he says news came to me that
[30:20]one of their men from their army he comes a lady that
[30:29]is Muslim and the other one who is meaning whether Muslim or
[30:33]not they would come and they would blindly attack them he says
[30:49]they come and they steal and they snatch her earrings or her
[30:54]or her necklace or whatever it is and she has no power
[30:58]all she does is cry and she says and give me some
[31:05]mercy and then he says then they left the village and they
[31:14]left the village and no one stood to defend them no one
[31:18]stood to defend the oppressed no one said hey what what do
[31:22]these people have to do with it no one spoke anything and
[31:27]then he says when I see this oppression he says he says
[31:40]if a Muslim hears that a Muslim lady or a non-muslim lady
[31:46]is attacked and treated the way the army of mua treated these
[31:49]ladies and this person dies out of Agony and pain I don't
[31:54]blame this person he says if you hear of such a thing
[31:55]and you die out of the pain I I wouldn't blame you
[31:59]this is the justice of Al but today where is the Justice
[32:04]in the world where are those who speak in the name of
[32:07]justice and human rights to defend the oppressed people of Palestine who
[32:11]are being bombed who their hospitals are running out of power they
[32:16]don't have electricity they don't have water they don't have food and
[32:19]everyone is silent my dear brothers and sisters if the world remains
[32:23]silent that doesn't mean that that's not an excuse for us to
[32:26]remain silent we have to speak out do whatever you can to
[32:32]speak out against the Injustice that you're seeing and I wanted to
[32:36]announce that tomorrow inshallah there's a unified rally and March in Downtown
[32:42]Detroit and this you have multiple organizations all over all over the
[32:47]area they're all coming out and my dear brothers and sisters this
[32:52]is the least thing that we could do if you're free if
[32:55]you are able to go I hire highly recommend that you go
[32:59]and you join this protest because now it's all about numbers when
[33:04]they see there's thousands and many people out there then they will
[33:08]say come election season these people are not going to vote for
[33:13]me and then they're going to hear you out so my dear
[33:15]brothers and sisters this is the least thing that we can do
[33:20]of course we have to also pray for the m and pray
[33:23]for the oppressed and for The Souls of all of the Believers
[33:47]all of the to
