[0:00]religion of Islam emphasizes the stage of death the more you remember
[0:08]death the better you are prepared for this stage for many people
[0:13]death is an unpleasant topic it's not something I'd like to think
[0:18]about it's not something I would like to discuss or enjoy discussing
[0:23]because death for me is a is it's an uncertain reality that
[0:33]awaits me I don't know if I'm prepared for it for me
[0:43]death represents the end of my joys it causes separation between me
[0:47]and my loved ones and therefore many of us are intimidated by
[0:52]the topic of death but the religion of Islam beautifully teaches us
[1:00]that death is like graduation if you're in high school or you're
[1:04]in college and you'd like to graduate now these this year due
[1:08]to covert 19 there were no formal graduations and your neighborhoods you
[1:14]probably heard cars honking around causing commotion and initially you did not
[1:20]know what that is you know what's wrong with these people why
[1:23]are they causing all this commotion in the neighborhood then you come
[1:27]out and say oh it's a graduation when you're in college and
[1:30]you're about to graduate or you're in high school and you want
[1:35]to graduate you look forward to your graduation right because that graduation
[1:39]represents the end of this stage in your life and a new
[1:47]beginning for the one who's serious for the one who's prepared well
[1:51]that day of graduation is a day you look forward to death
[1:59]is graduation you graduate from this life and you embrace the new
[2:03]life the reason why we applaud this graduation the reason why we
[2:10]detest it the reason why we don't look forward to it is
[2:12]because we're not prepared imagine if they have a student in high
[2:16]school or in college he or she is not prepared they've flunked
[2:23]their courses they have a shameful GPA they were not serious the
[2:30]day of graduation when they think of graduation it causes it causes
[2:39]them anxiety and unease why if you'd ask this person why graduation
[2:42]is something we celebrate for it's something that's Pleasant today of joy
[2:49]your family comes they congratulate you that person will tell you yes
[2:54]I do know that but I'm not prepared I'm not graduating I
[2:59]failed I have nothing to celebrate for in fact that day of
[3:04]graduation is a day that I abhor that I detest I loathe
[3:09]that day I do not look forward to it the least bit
[3:11]I do not look forward to it death is like graduation if
[3:19]you are prepared you look forward to it you embrace the full
[3:23]mercy of Allah Spano Ta'ala and that's why Imam had even Abbott
[3:26]antibodies Salaam he would say that I swear by Allah the son
[3:33]of abu talib meaning himself he yearns for death more than an
[3:38]infant that yearns to be nursed by his mother have you seen
[3:46]an infant crying from hunger nothing gives that infant peace other than
[3:51]his mother embracing him and nursing him the Imam says that's how
[3:55]I view death and that's why I ma'am I'll even have you
[3:59]thought about his time when he was struck in the mosque of
[4:01]Kufa what is the first thing that he said first - or
[4:06]a bill Kaabah I swear by the Lord of the Kaaba I've
[4:12]achieved victory that means I graduated that's another word for graduation I
[4:18]have successfully graduated therefore my dear brothers and sisters we must strive
[4:26]more to think of death to prepare for the doing so will
[4:30]make death something that's pleasant for us it's not something that we
[4:36]try to avoid all of our lives we don't think about it
[4:42]we don't prepare for it and there will be one day when
[4:44]the time will come may Allah grant you all a long and
[4:47]prosperous life but one day our time will expire that will be
[4:54]a bitter moment for us if were not prepared now death has
[4:58]multiple dimensions one dimension is the experience of death itself the separation
[5:06]of the soul from the body the moment of active our as
[5:14]our narrations call it tallada means presence the presence of death the
[5:19]presence of angels at the moment of death for the evildoers the
[5:22]presence of demons and Devils at the moment of death that in
[5:28]itself is a separate discussion in our discussion this evening we will
[5:36]examine the grave one of the stages that await us after death
[5:40]is the stage of the grave it's a very important stage my
[5:47]dear brothers and sisters after we depart this life and the soul
[5:51]separates from the body we have a near a number of narrations
[5:57]in Shia sources and anise and Sunni sources as well that tell
[6:00]us the first thing that happens once the soul is separated from
[6:04]the body the angels if the person is a believer the angels
[6:11]will descend upon this person and they will bring a Kevin a
[6:15]shroud from paradise they will bring this heavenly Kevin and wrap it
[6:21]around the soul and then they will ascend with the soul to
[6:27]allah subhana wa ta'ala to the throne of allah span Owatonna Allah
[6:31]is not physically present at the throne because Allah is not a
[6:35]physical entity but the grand mercy and glory of Allah is experienced
[6:43]at the center of the universe which is the throne of Allah
[6:48]span Wattana the hadith states that as the angels are ascending carrying
[6:53]the soul of this person the inhabitants of the heavens the other
[6:59]angels they ask them what are you carrying we feel this aroma
[7:09]you're carrying something that is very pleasant they tell them we are
[7:12]carrying the soul of the believer see how aromatic the soul of
[7:18]a believer is such that it fills the heavens with a beautiful
[7:20]scent with a good scent that's the honor that Allah gives to
[7:27]the believers then they take it to the seventh heaven and then
[7:31]after that Allah Spano - Allah instructs the angels to take him
[7:35]back to the earth our last panel Terada tells them I've created
[7:40]the humans from the earth and they must go back into the
[7:43]earth so take the soul to the grave now and that's when
[7:52]this stage begins after we die the soul is separated from the
[7:58]body however once we are placed in our grave the soul is
[8:03]attached to a similar-looking body that body resembles this physical body that
[8:14]we have now it resembles it it's very similar to it but
[8:21]nonetheless the soul does attach to a better Saki body it's much
[8:25]thinner than this body it has different attributes different characteristics different dimensions
[8:32]but it's very similar at the same time I would like to
[8:35]share with you a few hadith that confirm this point what is
[8:39]the evidence that the soul is going to attach to a body
[8:45]that resembles this body we have a hadith here from the Imam
[8:48]Ani salam in which he states for a de ba ba-ba hula
[8:52]when allah spirituality takes her soul suhara tilcara v11 Calabi - duniya
[9:03]allah subhanho wa taala will put that soul in a form that
[9:06]resembles your form in this world FEA - Luna Lasher Abu therefore
[9:15]in the stage of the grave and the berserk you can eat
[9:19]you can drink through this berserk e body adapt a demon a
[9:27]human Adam are a few who Basilica surah and Latika not for
[9:32]dunya when other deceased Souls people will see you they will recognize
[9:36]you oh I know this person from the dunya because that butterfiy
[9:39]body will look like this worldly body so it has different characteristics
[9:44]but it will still be attached to the soul so don't think
[9:53]that the soul is just going to float or he know hover
[9:56]but it is going to be attached to another birth a free
[10:02]body now at the time of the Imams peace be upon them
[10:04]there were some Muslim schools of thought not from the followers of
[10:08]Alan Bates who claimed that when the believers died their souls will
[10:16]be contained in the stomach's of birds and those birds circulate around
[10:22]the throne and Obama Sadiq at his lab was asked about this
[10:25]theory the Imam said that's preposterous that's ridiculous Allah will put the
[10:31]soul of a believer in the stomach of a bird what kind
[10:39]of nonsense is that Allah has honored the human being the believer
[10:42]he's not going to do that to him so the Imam Mahdi's
[10:46]said I'm at the end of that hadith he says like in
[10:48]fee AB dannian Cappadonna him no Allah will put the soul in
[10:54]bodies like their worldly bodies so it's not the worldly body itself
[10:58]because it decomposes but the soul is put in a similar body
[11:02]that's what happens in the grave now the stage of the grave
[11:12]is a very difficult stage we have many narrations that point out
[11:17]the severity of this stage the loneliness that one experiences in this
[11:23]stage therefore it is recommended in Islamic law when a person is
[11:29]about to be buried you know we have the tushy where the
[11:35]people walk in the funeral we take the body to the grave
[11:38]the hadith states don't rush into burying this person when you're carrying
[11:47]the casket that janazah put it down wait a few moments take
[11:56]a few steps then put it down again take a few steps
[12:00]then put it down again and then finally put the person in
[12:06]the grave why because the soul is observing here this is a
[12:10]new destination the soul is going through a lot of anxiety because
[12:14]oftentimes we're not that prepared and you look at your final destination
[12:19]I'm departing this world for this small hole under the ground it's
[12:27]a difficult experience so the hadith says prepare the dead person don't
[12:33]just rush into burying them in the grave take a few steps
[12:36]put them down let them get it ready for it let them
[12:41]get used to this process because you know the the soul is
[12:44]in shock it's observing give the soul some time to absorb what's
[12:52]going on before you actually bury the body this is recommended in
[12:56]Islamic law one of the challenges of the grave my dear brothers
[13:00]and sisters is and washa the amount of a debate would cry
[13:07]for this stage just last month in the month of Ramadan my
[13:11]dear brothers and sisters you read Dabo hamza somali an imam zain
[13:19]al-abideen honey Salam would cry for the stage key lavalla magic abbreviate
[13:26]baladi lavash ET we have many narrations from the animate that the
[13:31]imams would cry for the darkness of the grave the tightness of
[13:35]the grave the loneliness of the grave many of us because we're
[13:43]not so prepared for the grave it is a lonely experience for
[13:46]us here are some hadiths from the idol bait peace be upon
[13:54]them that do talk about that so in this hadith an imam
[13:57]sadiq ali salam states in an algebra column and frequently oh the
[14:01]grave speaks every day but of course we cannot hear it the
[14:07]Imam says the grave sends you a message every day and a
[14:11]bait to lure umma I am the house of loneliness horrible and
[14:17]Arabic is when you go to a place and you feel like
[14:20]a stranger you don't feel comfortable it's a new place a strange
[14:24]place and a bait to lure but unabated washa i am the
[14:30]house of loneliness and a bay to dude and an algebra I
[14:37]am the grave I am either a part of paradise or I
[14:40]am a pit of hellfire another hadith from al imam al baqara
[14:48]assalaam tells us what kind of acts we can do in order
[14:54]to alleviate the loneliness of the grave the Imam Ali Salim states
[14:59]men at Americo ah who lamented whole Asheton fika bruh if you
[15:03]pray properly and your ruku is proper you show submission to allah
[15:08]spano to Allah Allah will protect you from the loneliness of the
[15:13]grave have you seen some people when they pray they're rushing throughout
[15:17]their prayer when it comes to the roku they don't offer a
[15:20]proper record the minute you bow subhanAllah bli leaving behind that you
[15:25]say it's so fast you don't fix yourself and stabilize your body
[15:31]while in the record have you seen some people that's how they
[15:35]do Allah subhan I'll be around then like a spring they go
[15:39]back up I mean I tell America I respect your prayer your
[15:46]Salah The effect of that is that Allah will give you company
[15:49]in the grave you will not experience washer tub then the imam
[15:55]ali salam states also if you say this 100 times la ilaha
[15:59]illa llah who Malik alone Mubeen there is no god but allah
[16:07]the king the one who commands the truth Allah is the truth
[16:11]and he shows the truth if you say this 100 times Allah
[16:14]subhana Allah will protect you from the loneliness of the grave another
[16:23]act that protects us from the loneliness of the grave is to
[16:27]visit the grave of the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu anyone and the Imams
[16:32]of an inmate specifically Imam al-hussein Holly Salaam every time that you
[16:37]visit the Imams they will pay you back that visit in the
[16:44]grave and imagine if your in your grave and your visited by
[16:47]one of the Imams of a debate by the prophet sallallahu alayhi
[16:52]wa la imagen the light the newer that will enter your grave
[16:55]imagine the company that the Imams will give you will give you
[16:59]this is a promise from the amounts of added weight that if
[17:02]you follow us you honor us you carry our will ayah and
[17:06]you visit our graves in the grave we will visit you back
[17:09]in the grave we will give you company we will give you
[17:14]comfort good deeds give us comfort in our graves and these are
[17:18]just a few of them it's also highly recommended to ask Allah
[17:26]to protect you from wash it'll cut wash it'll come the loneliness
[17:28]of the grave is that a prayer that you make there's many
[17:33]prayers that we make oh Allah grant me this job land me
[17:38]this opportunity give me this much money give me the success to
[17:42]marry this person there are many things that we pray for but
[17:45]how often do you pray for Allah subhana WA Ta'ala to protect
[17:50]you from the loneliness of the grave this is something that we
[17:57]you should pray for the Imams of an inmate would pray for
[18:01]that let's learn from them one of the draws of the imam
[18:08]mahdi salaam he would say allahumma barik li film oh allah bless
[18:11]the death for me allahumma inni alas a karate mode Allah helped
[18:18]me when I am going through the difficulty of death allahumma inna
[18:23]allaha milk up o Allah helped me with the sorrow of the
[18:26]grave allama and neol a vehicle come o Allah helped me with
[18:32]the tightness of the grave allahumma inni allah wa shuttle table o
[18:36]allah helped me with the loneliness of the grief make this prayer
[18:42]brothers and sisters Allah has promised if you pray I answer your
[18:45]prayer well Kyle Arabic kumuda oniy a stage of Lacombe Allah in
[18:48]the Quran says your Lord had said pray to me he's pronounced
[18:55]he's declared pray to me and I will answer you and when
[18:59]you make such prayers my dear brothers and sisters you become a
[19:03]better person if you just made this prayer you're less likely to
[19:06]sin that day is a better day you feel closer to Allah
[19:10]to the acts of worship to the holy quran you feel closer
[19:13]to your parents prayer is not just an utterance lip service that
[19:20]you do and that's it no player has an impact if you
[19:22]mean it if you allow your heart to make the draw I'm
[19:26]not asking you just to utter it on your mouth but mean
[19:29]it from your heart when you say it from your heart that
[19:34]positively changes your life so once we are put in the grave
[19:41]the questioning of the grave starts the interrogation of the grave starts
[19:45]according to the school of a debate and the hadith of Alabaman
[19:51]bata and Imam asada Polyphemus Allah who are those people who are
[19:56]questioned in the grave the 'memories Adam says there are three categories
[19:59]of people in the grave the first category are those who Mojave
[20:04]Amana Macklin they died with full Iman full faith their belief in
[20:11]the oneness of Allah their belief in the pillars of religion these
[20:15]people who died with full Iman with full faith Allah Spano -
[20:23]Allah was dispatch the angels to question them in the grave that's
[20:27]the first category the second category men Maha Val Kufra muhabba those
[20:32]who died with full disbelief there is no faith in their heart
[20:37]full rejection of the signs of God full rejection of faith no
[20:44]belief in God no belief in any religion that comes from allah
[20:48]subhana wa ta'ala no believe in prophets there's no faith whatsoever these
[20:52]people will also be questioned then who's the third category those in-between
[20:58]those people who did not have full faith but they did not
[21:06]reject faith stubbornly most people probably fall in this category what happens
[21:12]to these people who did not fully follow the right path but
[21:16]they were not stubborn rejecters of the path either they didn't know
[21:20]any better or they had some belief here but then in some
[21:25]other areas they had no faith these people the Amman Hani Salaam
[21:28]says they will be put to sleep once they're put in the
[21:33]grave there's no interrogation for them they will be put to sleep
[21:37]until the day of judgement once the trumpet is blown into and
[21:43]everyone rises from their graves they rise and Allah passes the judgement
[21:46]on the day of judgement so in reality they don't experience better
[21:50]Jacque they're put to sleep they really don't have a sense of
[21:54]awareness of what happens so these are the three categories of people
[22:01]in the grave so now let's talk about the interrogation of the
[22:04]grave for those who are believers or those who are disbelievers what
[22:10]happens in this stage allah subhanaw taala dispatches angels to address us
[22:18]you will find that the most common name mentioned in hadith about
[22:23]these angels as Nakia and monka or Nakia Nakia Nakia and monk
[22:34]are this these names come from the root word in arabic that
[22:40]means unpleasant or rejection when you reject something you are considered a
[22:47]monkey right if you reject an Arabic something you are considered a
[22:53]monkey or if something is unpleasant something is terrible something is bad
[23:01]something is a vice we call it a monkey so the common
[23:08]idea here is that one cut and Nakia comes from a word
[23:12]that means rejection or unpleasant why one hadith or one scholarly analysis
[23:18]tells us that the reason why in akhira and monka are called
[23:25]such is because the disbeliever will reject god and the path of
[23:30]god when he will be asked about it so in a last
[23:36]part Allah asked the disbeliever through these angels who is your Lord
[23:39]do you believe in the Quran do you believe in prophet muhammad
[23:42]sallallahu alayhi wa reject and so these angels are caught such because
[23:49]he will reject that and as a result they will punish him
[23:53]or they're called unpleasant because for the disbeliever for those who pass
[24:00]their test they are indeed unpleasant we have narrations that graphically illustrate
[24:05]to us how they look what kind of voices they generate it's
[24:10]it's not a pleasant experience let's just leave it at that but
[24:15]we have other narrations that tell us for the Mortman for the
[24:19]one who passed his test these angels are called Bashir and Mo
[24:24]best ship bashira and Mubasher means someone who's pleasant someone who has
[24:31]a good attitude and someone who gives you good news so for
[24:34]the believers those angels who will interrogate them their name is called
[24:39]Beshear and MOBA sure and for the unbelievers or those who did
[24:45]not pass their test they are called Nikhil and monka we also
[24:49]have the name of another angel fat an and tub the interrogator
[24:59]of the grave his name is Roman in one dua an imam
[25:01]zein al-abideen an isa dimensions roman there are sunni hadiths that also
[25:06]mentioned this angel one of those hadith states roman comes to the
[25:10]person in the grave and he tells him okay now you have
[25:16]to write and document all of your deeds right your deeds the
[25:21]person will say how how do I write the deeds I don't
[25:25]have paper here I don't have ink Ramon tells them use your
[25:29]Kevin your captain will be turned into paper your finger will be
[25:33]a pen and you can use your saliva of course that bears
[25:40]a key body not this physical body and that will be turned
[25:44]into ink so the idea states that the person will write his
[25:48]deeds until he comes to his sins he stops the angels ask
[25:57]him why did you stop you forgot if you forgot we will
[26:01]remind you what you did on so and so date the person
[26:05]will say no I did not forget but I am ashamed of
[26:11]writing it I'm ashamed I'm embarrassed to write what I did in
[26:16]the world they tell him subhanAllah when you were on the face
[26:21]of the planet and Allah was watching you you were not ashamed
[26:24]to commit that sin now that you're six feet under you're ashamed
[26:28]to write it no you have to write it and then they're
[26:32]about to punish him the hadith states he says okay okay let
[26:35]me write my good deeds now they say okay write your good
[26:39]deeds will give you an opportunity to do that and so the
[26:44]good deeds will protect so we have the names of munkar and
[26:50]nakir Mubasher and Bashir and we have the name of one of
[26:53]those angels called Rahman who will interrogate us during the grave what
[26:58]are we asked about brothers and sisters we have a number of
[27:05]hadith that these are the primary questions you will be asked about
[27:09]in your grave number one who's your Lord who did you worship
[27:12]did you worship allah subhana wa ta'ala your creator or did you
[27:22]reject God or did you ascribe partners to Allah so that's the
[27:26]first question how was your relationship with God did you care about
[27:29]God and His laws or you cared about money more you cared
[27:33]about your business more you cared about your sports more you cared
[27:38]about entertainment and gaming more who was more important to you in
[27:42]your life God or your activities or your phone notifications or your
[27:46]social media we will be asked about that in the grief that's
[27:50]number one number two what's your religion what did you follow number
[27:57]three what's your book which book did you recognize as a scripture
[28:03]from Allah number four you will be asked about your prophet which
[28:10]prophet did you follow interestingly in one hadith let's say you say
[28:16]my prophetess Prophet Muhammad Sal Allahu Allahu Allah according to that hadith
[28:20]the person was asked who's your properties that Prophet Muhammad then the
[28:26]the angel will come up with a follow-up question okay Prophet Muhammad
[28:32]what's your proof why did you follow him based on what proof
[28:39]this hadith is very interesting and at the same time it's an
[28:42]eye-opener for us my dear brothers and sisters because this hadith is
[28:50]teaching us don't just follow blindly have evidence if today I ask
[28:54]you as a Muslim you believe in the prop Mohamed Salah are
[28:58]you idea what's your evidence that he was really a prophet how
[29:00]can you prove that he was a prophet what are the miracles
[29:06]that you can witness today that demonstrates to you he was connected
[29:10]to Allah and that the Quran is from Allah now probably according
[29:15]to this hadith your answer can be brief you don't have to
[29:20]go you know into into detail but the point is the angels
[29:22]will ask you why do you believe in Prophet Mohammed you should
[29:26]have the answer you should back up your answer with evidence and
[29:31]that should urge us and encourage us to find out the reason
[29:35]behind our belief system no Wael exists why is just why he
[29:41]sent prophets why the Quran is the word of God why there
[29:43]is a day of judgment my dear brothers and sisters be in
[29:47]a position where if someone asks you you can articulate your answer
[29:51]know why you believe in these belief systems because Allah will question
[29:55]you in the grave why did you okay Prophet Muhammad that that's
[29:57]the correct answer but why prove it to me how do you
[30:02]know the Prophet was a prophet our faith must be well grounded
[30:05]we must be able to justify our faith and to substantiate what
[30:11]we believe in and to back it up with evidence amongst the
[30:15]other questions that we will be asked about our prayer our Salah
[30:24]our fasting our zakat zakat is the financial responsibilities whether it's these
[30:31]ikot that you pay on the crops or gold currency or it's
[30:35]the homes that you have to pay or that's the kuffara that
[30:41]you have to pay or zakat and fertile all of this falls
[30:43]under the category of zakat Allah will ask you about the zakat
[30:50]and the Hajj Allah will ask you about the Hajj through these
[30:54]angels you will be asked about the Hajj you will be asked
[30:56]about your life how did you spend it how do I spend
[31:01]my life you will be asked about the money from which source
[31:05]did you make it was it from a halal source or a
[31:07]Haram source was it a source that was based on justise exploitation
[31:14]of others interest alcohol haram advertising was it based on that or
[31:22]was it based on a legitimate source you will be asked about
[31:28]that and the Imam says you will also be asked about our
[31:31]will ayah the elevate and it's the most important thing we will
[31:37]be asked about when I ah my dear brothers and sisters the
[31:40]belief in the Imams of a debate is a completion of prophethood
[31:46]Prophet Muhammad is the last of prophets but who protects the message
[31:53]after him that's the role of wood aya Malaya means I seek
[31:56]a pure source that shows me the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SAW
[32:02]Allah Allahu Allah because after the Prophet the Sun that was changed
[32:05]that's the reality Benny Omega destroyed the Sunnah of the Prophet many
[32:11]fabricators emerged how can I trust that I have a pure source
[32:17]that explains to me the Sunnah of the Prophet and the Holy
[32:20]Quran that's the a debate we will be asked about the R'lyeh
[32:24]that I honor the teachings of a debate that I uphold their
[32:27]message and that's the role of deeds my dear brothers and sisters
[32:30]the deeds will protect us in the grave the Salah will turn
[32:37]into a shield that protects you from any danger zakat will turn
[32:41]into a shield that will protect you from any danger honesty integrity
[32:50]truth all of those good deeds will be a shield that will
[32:53]protect you on the grave so these are some of the very
[32:58]important questions that we will be asked in the grave now we
[33:01]will end with this discussion my dear brothers and sisters do we
[33:05]have evidence from the Quran that there is the punishment of the
[33:11]grave there are some Muslim schools of thought such as the historically
[33:16]the Saudis they denied that there is punishment in the grave that's
[33:20]it you die you put into the grave and you put your
[33:24]put to sleep until the day the punishment is on the day
[33:28]of judgement there's no punishment in the byrsa we in the school
[33:31]of an in which we believe no for for some people there
[33:33]will be punishment in the grave do we have evidence in the
[33:40]Quran that there is definitely punishment in the grave yes my dear
[33:45]brothers and sisters if you go to surah ghafir verses 45 and
[33:50]46 Allah spirituality Ochs about firown' and his people who died on
[33:55]the evil path and they rejected the signs of Allah spano to
[33:58]Allah Allah spirituality is for Walker Allah who say yeaaahh teamahma kuru
[34:04]Oaxaca be a leaf Iran issue and adapt Allah spano to Allah
[34:12]surrounded the people of firown' with punishment and narrower or Aluna alaihe
[34:18]will do one washi fire they are exposed to it day and
[34:21]night okay what is this this is before the day of judgment
[34:28]because the Quran says wai-o-tapu Musa absolu Aleph aruna shed the rather
[34:35]and then when the hour comes the day of judgment Allah will
[34:38]say take the people of around to a severe punishment so that
[34:41]means now before the day of judgement day and night they are
[34:45]exposed to the fire that's the world of the grave because the
[34:49]grave as the hadith states either transforms into a garden of paradise
[34:54]a temporary garden or it will be a pit of hell so
[35:00]the Quran does confirm that for the evil doers for those who
[35:04]die in disbelief for the unjust ones the oppressors the the evil
[35:08]tyrant dictators they will be punished in the grave and we have
[35:15]many hadith about that my dear brothers and sisters numerous narrations about
[35:20]that for instance we have a narration about the squeezing of the
[35:25]grave a person will be crushed and squeezed in the grave this
[35:29]hadith is mentioned from the Prophet Muhammad Sal Allahu Allahu Allah when
[35:32]sad even math one of his very noble company when he passed
[35:41]away and he was a very decent companion a very good companion
[35:47]the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa ala he did something unprecedented with sad
[35:57]the companions were seeing the Prophet participated in his funeral he took
[36:02]off his cloak to show respect he walked barefoot he even participated
[36:06]in burying him by taking the dust and the bricks to seal
[36:11]the grave now The Messenger of God doing that to one of
[36:14]the deceased is as big it's a big deal then the mother
[36:20]of sak she came and she told him my dear son honey
[36:25]and laquelle Jenna you're definitely going to heaven the Prophet told her
[36:29]oh the mother of sad yeah sure you know he's a good
[36:32]companion he was a very decent companion he was a top believer
[36:38]but do not impose on a lot to take him to heaven
[36:45]by saying I know his fate 100% just right now sad was
[36:47]squeezed in the grave that means he experienced some discomforts and punishment
[36:52]the Companions were shocked they came to you told us sort of
[36:57]lhasa Allah why did jana saw allah what's going on sad is
[37:01]a decent man he's a very good person his prayer is fasting
[37:08]him defending Islam why why did God squeeze him in the grave
[37:12]the Prophet said because he had a bad attitude with his family
[37:15]at home yes he was a good person no doubt but he
[37:20]had a bad attitude bad o'clock at home with her spouse maybe
[37:24]with other family members and this tells us my dear brothers and
[37:30]sisters how a slap are important when you humiliate someone when you
[37:35]attack someone when you're abusive with your partner when you engage in
[37:40]character assassination you have a bad attitude at home with your parents
[37:43]with your siblings with your children with your spouse this has an
[37:47]effect if you don't fully repent from that and sad probably had
[37:51]forgotten to repent for that maybe he didn't repent from that had
[37:54]he repented of course Allah would have protected him but sad did
[37:59]not repent from that so he had to experience some sort of
[38:03]punishment in the grave look at the power the power of your
[38:07]Allah the more positive your attitude it is the more pleasant your
[38:13]o'clock is the more you have a pleasant experience after you pass
[38:17]away and the heaviest deed on the day of judgment that will
[38:23]be put on your skill as your flock so that's the squeeze
[38:25]of the grave and we ask a lot to protect us from
[38:29]the squeeze of the grave and the audible cub the punishment of
[38:32]the grave allemande the Imams of anybody talked about the punishment of
[38:37]the grave in one hadith imam ali salam says a person was
[38:39]punished in his grave by the angels and he asked why do
[38:45]you punish me they told him because there was an oppressed person
[38:48]who was weak he couldn't defend himself you passed by you could
[38:57]have helped that a press person and you did not that's why
[39:00]we're punishing you because you abandoned a very important responsibility and obligation
[39:06]my dear brothers and sisters if you see someone oppressed whether it's
[39:11]in your family often times there's a family member who gets bullied
[39:16]others take away this person's rights stand up to that person don't
[39:20]say I don't want to get involved tell us it's no big
[39:26]deal some was being violated someone's being oppressed and you know about
[39:29]it you have to do something because if there's collective pressure the
[39:34]oppressor stops you know what encourages their oppressor because he knows he
[39:38]can get away with it because I know others won't get involved
[39:40]but if I know every time I commit an act of injustice
[39:44]and my family with my friends somebody's going to stop me or
[39:47]somebody's going to put pressure on me I will be discouraged because
[39:53]it won't be convenient for me people oppressed because it's convenient for
[39:58]them to oppress and today my dear brothers and sisters one of
[40:01]the crises that we're experiencing in America is police brutality or racism
[40:05]institutional and racism against people of color specifically blacks don't say it's
[40:12]none of my business say something do something the least that you
[40:16]can do is condemn it you have a Facebook page you have
[40:20]an Instagram page you have Twitter whatever you have at least condemn
[40:25]it and mean it condemn racism say it's unacceptable if you're out
[40:30]there somewhere in the office somewhere else in society and you see
[40:36]a person of color being marginalized being oppressed do something the hadith
[40:41]says one of the reasons why some people are punished in the
[40:45]grave is because they did not help the oppressed there will be
[40:49]consequences and if I'd been neglectful in the past Allah will forgive
[40:58]us my dear brothers and sisters remember that the punishment and the
[41:02]grave is for those who did not repent from particular sins if
[41:09]you've truly repented and now you are upholding the truth Allah will
[41:12]save you there will be inch'allah no punishment for you but but
[41:16]this is serious this part in the grave the stage in the
[41:22]grave is serious what are some a mile we can do to
[41:24]protect us from the punishment of the grave we have hadith that
[41:30]tell us this hadith is from imam not even a tiny body
[41:35]salam he says the one who recites Surat Annisa which is the
[41:38]4th chapter in the Quran every Friday Allah will protect him from
[41:41]the squeeze of the grave read that every Friday the one who
[41:48]recite Surat Ozora frequently Allah will protect him from the punishment of
[41:53]the grave the one who recites Surat al Kalam noon will tell
[41:57]meö mayest aroudn in your salah whether it's a watch of salah
[42:02]or a most upsala try to memorize it if you can if
[42:06]not you can just read it from your phone let's say your
[42:08]praying in the navpilot prayer have the phone in front of you
[42:13]and recite it Allah spano to Allah will protect you from the
[42:16]squeeze of the grave Salah to Lael my dear brothers sisters and
[42:21]Imam Monroeville I said I'm in a beautiful hadith about the night
[42:23]prayer he states alaykum the salat only you should pray salat only
[42:34]from Amman abdun yomo after a lane any servant of Allah who
[42:38]gets up towards the end of the night and he prays a
[42:42]troika and then two rakahs chef's and then the word and then
[42:45]he says a stuff for allah wa atubu ilayh seventy times allah
[42:50]any person who does that Allah will protect him from the squeeze
[42:55]of the grave from the punishment of the grave and from the
[43:01]fire of Hell and Allah will prolong his life and Allah spano
[43:04]to Allah will increase as a result so my dear brothers and
[43:11]sisters the more you uphold the night prayer the more light and
[43:15]comfort it will give you in the grave one of the acts
[43:21]that also helped with the punishment of the grave is reciting this
[43:25]dog I will recite it and translate it for you recite the
[43:27]store every day my dear brothers and sisters I'd actually couldn't ly
[43:33]hole in la ilaha ilallah for any difficulty in life any concerning
[43:38]matter my resort my weapon is la ilaha illallah there is no
[43:43]god but allah imagine if you say this every day and you

[43:58]you will not lose hope for every difficulty I have a lot

[44:34]thank Allah span well he couldn't Leo a Jew Burton subhanAllah when
[44:39]there's something wondrous something unusual something strange that happens I say subhanAllah
[44:44]or something that amazes me when I look at the creation of
[44:49]Allah I say glory be to Allah Subhan Allah well you couldn't
[44:52]leave them been a stuff for Allah and for every sin that
[44:54]I've committed stuff for Allah o Allah forgive me well he couldn't

[45:02]tragedy I don't lose hope and I don't give up and I'm
[45:08]angry I say no to Allah we belong and to him we
[45:14]shall return well he couldn't leave leapin has to be Allah and
[45:18]for every difficulty if I'm stuck in a situation I say Allah
[45:23]is sufficient for me when they could lick Allah and what I
[45:26]done in TOEIC al to Allah and I have full reliance on
[45:30]Allah subhana WA Ta'ala I know that he is my guide he's
[45:32]my inspiration well he couldn't Lee I do when after some Tamila
[45:35]and what I am faced with an enemy there's someone bothering me
[45:40]in my life I have Allah as my guardian as my protector
[45:43]well you could Lata attend wasi'atun la who know Allah what Allah
[45:47]al aliy allowing him recite this - are my dear brothers and
[45:53]sisters the Imam says if you recite it 10 times allah subhanahu
[45:58]wata'ala will protect you from the punishment of the grave and this
[46:03]hadith is attributed to the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu aleyhi wa ala so
[46:09]the source of this door is the Prophet jibra eel taught him
[46:13]this door to teach us my dear brothers and sisters may on
[46:18]last panel - Allah bless you all may Allah protect you from
[46:22]the punishment of the grave don't allow this discussion to make you
[46:27]lose hope to scare you from death and from the grave remember
[46:34]if you're prepared and inshallah you are prepared you have goodness in
[46:39]your heart Allah will transform your grave into a beautiful paradise and
[46:43]our next discussion we will examine the buzzer and what to expect
[46:47]on the buzzer is just the stage of the grave there are
[46:48]stages after the grave before the day of judgement it's just like
[46:55]graduation you look forward to your graduation because you're prepared and you
[47:00]can be prepared you have goodness in your heart you don't reject
[47:03]the signs of Allah Spano Tala you're trying to be a good
[47:08]person even if you commit a sin you feel bothered by it
[47:10]the hadith says if you feel bothered by your sin it means
[47:12]you're a believer because you care some people they send they don't
[47:17]care they're negligent they don't care the least that's a bad sign
[47:21]but if you care you're bothered by it that means allah subhana
[47:25]wa ta'ala is accepting your repentance that means you still love Allah
[47:31]and Allah loves you back and Allah loves his creation was Salam
[47:36]alaikum warahmatullahi wa
