[0:14]one of the benefits of prayer is that it changes our perspective

[0:24]with allah subhanahu ta'ala realizes that at the end of the day

[0:27]allah is the one who is watching over me allah is the

[0:31]one who is going to provide for me allah is the one

[0:36]who is giving me even the one who has a terminal illness

[0:39]the one who's dying if they believe in allah wa ta'ala they're

[0:45]going to be much happier than the one who's dying from a

[0:48]terminal illness but they do not believe in allah because when you

[0:54]believe in allah you're changing your perspective you're telling yourself every day

[0:59]in your prayer every day in your sujud every day in your

[1:02]actions that there's a lord watching over me that there's a lord

[1:08]that is going to give me that despite what this doctor said

[1:10]and despite what this doctor said and what this person said allah

[1:15]subhanahu ta'ala in his hands is the control of everything he is

[1:20]the one who chooses my fate and my destiny for me not

[1:25]what other people say this is why the one who prays the

[1:30]one who believes the one who is always praying this person never

[1:34]loses faith in allah subhanahu wa ta'ala this person never loses hope

[1:40]in allah subhanahu wa ta'ala there was a lady during the time

[1:45]of prophet musa she goes to prophet musa she had been married

[1:48]for several years she doesn't have children so she goes to prophet

[1:54]musa she tells him o prophet of allah you are kaleem allah

[1:57]ask allah to grant me a child ask allah to give me

[2:04]children musa alaihissalam he goes and he speaks to allah subhanahu ta'ala

[2:08]he asks allah he comes back to her he tells her i'm

[2:11]sorry allah said you are akim allah said you are infertile you

[2:18]cannot have children she comes a month later and she tells him

[2:22]oh musa ask allah subhanahu ta'ala to give me a child he

[2:26]goes he asks he comes back he tells her allah said you

[2:32]are akeem you are infertile you cannot have a child she comes

[2:36]back a year later carrying a child prophet musa he sees her

[2:42]he tells her where is this child from she tells him this

[2:44]is my child i gave birth to this child he tells her

[2:48]how did you give birth to this child allah told me that

[2:51]you are akim you are infertile she says this is my child

[2:57]i don't know so musa goes and he speaks to allah subhanahu

[2:59]ta'ala he tells him o my lord did you not say that

[3:06]this lady is akeem she cannot have children allah tells him ya

[3:09]musa this lady she keeps calling upon me she keeps telling me

[3:16]ya raheem i write akim the mercy of allah overcomes the destiny

[3:27]and changes the destiny that i had written for her the ones

[3:33]who pray understand the value of their prayer and the ones who

[3:37]pray never give up faith and hope in allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[3:41]because du'a is able to change our destiny why do we do

[3:46]duan layla why do we pray on leila because we believe that

[3:52]du'a and turning to allah subhanahu ta'ala has the power to change

[3:56]our destiny no matter what anyone says the one who prays always

[4:00]turns to allah always turns to allah and acknowledges that everything that

[4:07]i have is in the hands of allah but allah says when

[4:11]you ask me when you pray i want one thing from you

[4:15]i want you to be desperate i want you to go and

[4:19]shut all the other doors don't go to anyone other than allah

[4:22]when we turn to allah do we do that some of us

[4:26]we go and we knock on all the doors and finally we

[4:30]come we say let's ask allah subhanahu ta'ala but allah says allah

[4:37]answers the one who's desperate who's desperate the one who's desperate is

[4:42]the one that does not have anyone to turn to other than

[4:46]allah subhanahu ta'ala this is how we should turn to allah when

[4:49]you pray you place it in your perspective that it is god

[4:56]that is able to change my life
