[0:00]foreign we are in the seventh course or seventh class session of
[0:16]this 10-week course on and beliefs in the previous session we talked
[0:25]about the importance of prophethood the importance of a Divine representative from
[0:30]Allah where God out of his compassion out of his mercy and
[0:37]out of his Justice sends a prophet sends a representative to show
[0:47]people the way because we know that Allah does not create for
[0:53]no reason Allah does not do anything for no reason because Allah
[0:59]the intellect of God is complete so Allah does not do anything
[1:03]for no reason therefore everything has a purpose and the purpose of
[1:09]creation one of the purposes is that Justice will be met Allah
[1:13]cannot his Justice does not allow for Injustice to go on in
[1:19]the world a lot of people right now you see them they
[1:21]die they suffer unjustly a lot of people have Injustice in this
[1:26]life does that fair for God to just leave these people no
[1:28]so what does this mean this means that there's going to be
[1:32]a day of judgment this means that there's going to be a
[1:34]hasab there's going to be a kitab there's going to be accountability
[1:37]this is we're going to talk about this the last session inshallah
[1:40]mod when we talk about that but since there is mahad since
[1:45]there is accountability then would it be fair for God to put
[1:52]you in a test and not show you the way put you
[1:53]in the test and not teach you not show you not send
[1:58]you a Divine representative that's not fair so therefore logically we understand
[2:05]that God's hecma God's love God's mercy God's justice dictates that there
[2:12]has to be someone that teaches people and shows people the way
[2:16]and we have many narrations as well in fact in one of
[2:23]our most important books of Hadith by the name of al-khafi he
[2:29]came and he wrote this book during the Rebecca so immediately after
[2:37]Imam and mahdi's imamadi went into the raiba into the occultation was
[2:40]there so that means that during the life of Imam al-mahdi but
[2:45]he had gone into the was writing this book similarly you have
[2:50]who came a little bit after and then you have these are
[2:56]the early Scholars they've written these narrations for us so in this
[3:02]uh and this Hadith from al-khafi by alkalaini heroda and alcafi and
[3:09]Abby jaffar Imam abhi jaffar is Imam al-bakar Ali Salaam he says
[3:35]so the Imam is saying that not only we believe in prophets
[3:41]but the Imam is saying that at any given time since the
[3:45]time of Adam until the day of judgment there has to be
[3:50]a Hajj of Allah a Divine representative of Allah on Earth there
[3:55]has to be a proof of God because we mentioned in the
[4:00]previous session what's the whole purpose of a of a prophet what's
[4:04]the whole purpose of so that people would not say oh God
[4:12]you did not send for us a prophet you did not send
[4:14]for us a messenger a teacher there would be a connection between
[4:20]God and people and that is the job of the hajja but
[4:22]the Imam is adding that at any time there has to be
[4:28]a proof of Allah and this is one of the proofs that
[4:31]we use foreign we say we say that this is the proof
[4:35]that we use for the Imam alaihissalam that there has to always
[4:44]be a Divine representative from Allah so he says from the time
[4:53]of Adam until there has always been an Imam that guides people
[4:58]Imam and another Hadith from Imam Assad they asked the Imam Imam
[5:13]Imam he says if there was no Imam if there was no
[5:19]Divine representative then there would be no purpose for life to continue
[5:21]and then the day of judgment would begin there would be no
[5:27]purpose because the whole purpose for Life Allah created us to guide
[5:31]us to show us the way and the means of guidance is
[5:36]through the prophets and the imams they are the hajjat Allah remember
[5:39]we mentioned the Hadith I believe we mentioned the Hadith last time
[5:44]that there's a hot job and there's a hajjadahara there's an internal
[5:51]hajja and there's a apparent hajja the internal is the fitra that
[5:55]is the internal navigation system that Allah has given every person and
[6:02]then the apparents the exterior proof of God that is the imams
[6:08]and the prophets of Allah so now there has to always be
[6:14]prophets or there has to always be a Divine representative from Allah
[6:19]that's one second because we're talk we're continuing this session on as
[6:24]a part of our usual Deen we have to believe in the
[6:30]prophets we have to believe in the prophets and in The Messengers
[6:33]we our narrations tell us narrations from rasulullah and from the imams
[6:42]of the albat say that we have a hundred and twenty four
[6:45]thousand prophets and Messengers Allah has sent from the time of Adam
[6:49]all the way after rasulullah you have the hajjad of Allah they
[6:55]are the proofs of God the imams of the al-baits although until
[6:58]Imam and then is the Imam until now he's the Hajj of
[7:04]Allah until now this is why we call him Imam or we
[7:08]call him to Allah we'll talk about that as well when the
[7:11]time comes now there there has to always be a prophet or
[7:17]a Divine representative from God now what is a prophet a prophet
[7:22]nebby in the Arabic language nebi is a prophet nebby is someone
[7:30]who receives divine revelation Divine intuition from Allah and Allah speaks to
[7:39]the prophets in several ways and this verse that we recited last
[7:45]time Allah does not speak directly to a human being how why
[7:55]not why doesn't God speak to a person because that would be
[7:58]that would mean he is limited I could speak to you I'm
[8:00]limited in this place in this location Allah and this is one
[8:08]of the most important foundations that the Quran keeps insisting on the
[8:13]the people during the time of prophet Musa they say let us
[8:18]see God Allah tells him you could never see me not that
[8:20]I will I don't allow you to see me you can't see
[8:23]me because if you see God God is going to be limited
[8:26]if God is speaking to you directly then that means god is
[8:30]limited in one particular location or place or time either a revelation
[8:39]or through a hijab rasulan or through a rasool through a messenger
[8:49]like is the messenger explains this he says the first type of
[8:59]Revelation as the wahi and that is Imam Ali he says that
[9:05]is places his words or what he wants his message in the
[9:18]heart of the prophets without any intermediary meaning sometimes Allah would reveal
[9:27]unto the prophet through jibril foreign and other times Allah would bring
[9:35]down the Quran upon the hearts of the Prophet without any intermediary
[9:40]without anyone in the way and this is why when this used
[9:45]to happen to rasulullah rasulallah would sometimes faint because of the heavy
[9:52]of the heavy nature because rasulullah he's much greater than used to
[9:58]sit like a student in front of rasulullah but when Allah is
[10:04]bringing down the Revelation and Allah says came down on your heart
[10:10]so this is this happened sometimes during the life of rasulullah and
[10:15]perhaps some of the other prophets one of the times this happened
[10:18]was in the Israel and the Maharaj when the prophets he went
[10:23]to the heavens he went to the heavens and Allah describes oh
[10:38]the prophet was being elevated in the heavens and the heavens he
[10:44]reached the place of prophet Ibrahim Musa he saw all the prophets
[10:46]and jibril is taking him he's going with him they reach a
[10:54]place now it's on you now it's all you know to anmullah
[10:56]if I go closer one millimeter I would burn now it's all
[11:02]you and Allah describes he kept getting closer and closer if you
[11:11]take an arrow you're pulling on the Arrow what happens to the
[11:17]two tips they come closer they come closer Allah says in the
[11:21]Quran that rasulullah he came he came near Allah now God doesn't
[11:30]have a physical body so how does this happen it's probably the
[11:33]place of the Irish or the place of the manifestation of the
[11:36]laws of God he came this close meaning as closest to ER
[11:41]the ends of a bow if you pull them that's how close
[11:45]they come they came there there is where Allah directly spoke to
[11:54]rasulullah now there's a second type there's a second type because the
[12:00]verse in the Quran says the the verse in the Quran says
[12:04]that um where's the verse the verse says or through a hijab
[12:17]what is this hijab this hijab is um says he says this
[12:27]is how did Allah speak to Musa the first time through the
[12:46]tree The Burning Tree that tree was the hijab that tree was
[12:50]what Allah used to speak to Prophet Musa another hijab could be
[12:56]a dream Ibrahim he had a dream that is the hijab that
[13:00]Allah spoke to him through the dream the other the the other
[13:07]is through a rasul and that is he came down and he
[13:23]brought down the Quran any questions regarding what has been said so
[13:28]far so so far we explained there has always been prophets and
[13:33]Messengers there's a logic tells us that and the Hadith of the
[13:37]imams the sahih Hadith and there's actually a whole chapter in alcafi
[13:42]that that talks about this there have been a hundred and twenty
[13:45]four thousand prophets and Messengers what is a prophet the prophet is
[13:49]the one that Allah speaks to him now prophets they don't all
[13:52]come at the same level not all prophets are the same some
[13:56]prophets Allah speaks to them in a dream other prophets Allah speaks
[14:03]to them yes sister is a messenger who used to speak to
[14:27]the prophets and Messengers yes now as we said prophets and Messengers
[14:31]they're in different categories so you have some prophets that are higher
[14:39]higher in rank than other profits you have a rasool and you
[14:46]also have a nebby which one is higher a higher in rank
[14:54]higher in rank rasul rasool why because anyone could be a you
[15:04]could be a prophet as soon as God speaks to you but
[15:08]when God commissions you to deliver a message and speak on his
[15:12]behalf then you become now you're delivering a message on behalf of
[15:18]God so they say that when when Prophet Musa Allah first spoke
[15:23]to him or where Allah speaks to Musa Allah tells him he
[15:38]tells him I'm your Lord You're a prophet when does when does
[15:45]Musa become a rasool as soon as Allah tells him as soon
[15:50]as Allah tells him go to now he's elevated in ranked now
[15:55]he's been given he's been commissioned with a task to deliver the
[15:59]message he became a messenger but also revelation is anyone who receives
[16:07]a revelation of prophets no who received the Revelation that's not a
[16:14]prophet musa's mother musa's mother um it could be a Divine intuition
[16:27]as well it could be an intuition she just had the feeling
[16:30]that we're I'm gonna put this baby in the in the she
[16:34]had this feeling that I'm gonna put this baby in the uh
[16:40]cradle so can I ask everyone who's on Zoom to please mute
[16:47]themselves yes so um profits the the prophets of Allah some they're
[16:55]all prophets 124 000 prophets but not all of them are messengers
[17:01]there were some local prophets some people are in a village they
[17:04]have a local prophet in a small town they have a local
[17:06]prophet and then you have people individuals who were sent with a
[17:15]global message with a global mission to deliver God's Divine message like
[17:20]during the time of prophet Musa there were several prophets one Prophet
[17:24]was his brother Haroon his brother harun was a prophet another Prophet
[17:31]was who took him in for 10 years he was a prophet
[17:35]but who was the prophet that was sent and tasked with a
[17:41]global message a message for everyone Prophet Musa he was sent with
[17:48]the big message during his time during the time of Arisa there
[17:52]were several prophets who were some prophets that were alive during the
[17:56]time of Isa yes Zakaria who else Yahya Yahya was a prophet
[18:03]and there could be other prophets that we don't know about the
[18:07]Quran doesn't mention all 124 000 prophets there could be other prophets
[18:11]so as we mentioned in any time there are Divine representatives in
[18:17]fact some people they asked a few perhaps last time or before
[18:23]that people ask um between Issa between Jesus and rasulullah there was
[18:29]about 500 years 500 and somewhat years between them was there no
[18:34]not a prophet during that time there was a prophet just because
[18:41]we don't know just because the Quran did not mention explicitly that
[18:44]does not mean that there was no Prophet there has to always
[18:47]be a prophet in fact we have some narrations we have some
[18:52]narrations that say Abu Talib was a prophet and perhaps Abdullah and
[18:58]perhaps some of the because they were more they were modifiers so
[19:02]it is the akal tells us that there has to always be
[19:06]a Divine representative and we have some narrations that tell us that
[19:10]in fact the other day I heard a narration regarding um Fatima
[19:16]I said this is off topic but to show the knowledge of
[19:23]Abu Talib it says that when rasulullah was born the mother of
[19:29]Imam Ali she she comes she's carrying she's carrying rasulullah and she
[19:34]shows him give me 30 years and I will give you one
[19:48]like him except he's not a prophet he tells her give me
[19:51]30 years and I will meaning after 30 years give me give
[19:56]me 30 years and I will give you one like him except
[19:58]he's not a prophet and this is exactly what Imam Ali was
[20:03]he was just like the prophet except so there has always there
[20:12]has to always be a prophet but but there are amongst the
[20:18]prophets there are Russell there are messengers and amongst the Russo the
[20:24]Russells there are there's a rank of the five highest ranking Russell
[20:28]what are they called prophets and those are those are new Prophet
[20:41]Noah Prophet Ibrahim Prophet Musa Prophet is foreign meaning that they came
[21:17]with a universal message and another Hadith they were said they were
[21:31]named because they have a Sharia they came with Allah like Prophet
[21:34]Musa alaihi salaam he came with the Torah when other prophets came
[21:40]they were following the law of Musa then when Aisa came he
[21:45]reformed and he changed the law so the law of Arisa was
[21:50]the law of the real religion until when once rasulullah comes now
[21:59]he came with a new law with a new message which is
[22:04]the same similar but it has its own its its differences and
[22:07]now people have to follow the law of rasulullah any questions foreign
[22:15]yes yes 30 years Okay so we mentioned the signs of a
[22:36]prophet that the prophet has to have Miracles and clues and indicators
[22:40]and a previous Prophet they have to come and show them and
[22:44]tell people that this after me is a prophet and we talked
[22:49]about some of the Miracles of the prophets but their miracles could
[22:54]be in several ways one of them is that the prophet is
[23:02]given access to the Rabe access to the knowledge of the Unseen
[23:05]and here this is where there are some Nancy as they come
[23:11]and they say you guys do kufur because you say that the
[23:13]prophets and the imams they have knowledge of the Unseen here there
[23:18]is a verse in the Quran describing Israel out of soil out
[23:45]of clay what looks like a bird he used to come and
[23:54]hold clay in his hand he would make it look like a
[23:59]bird he blows in it and what happens to it it flies
[24:02]out of his hand he says by the permission of God and
[24:11]I would cure the Blind and the people with Leprosy by the
[24:18]and raise the dead by the permission of Allah and I tell
[24:25]you what you have hidden in your house and what you're what
[24:31]you're doing in Pride in your private life so one of the
[24:36]things everything that the prophets do is by the permission of God
[24:39]if you were to believe if anyone were to believe that Jesus
[24:44]raised the dead independently what does that mean that shirk that means
[24:49]you have two gods if Jesus were to do anything on their
[24:52]own that's Shirk and this is why we come and we say
[25:00]there is nothing in in this universe that has independent Authority and
[25:06]power today some people they come and say oh there's magician cast
[25:08]a spell on me this and that they didn't do something they
[25:13]can't they're not independent of God whatever they either they use the
[25:16]laws of God the laws of physics and the laws of cause
[25:18]and effect or chemistry or whatever or they're doing something by the
[25:23]permission of God nothing could happen without the permission of God maybe
[25:27]you didn't understand what they did but everything that happened was by
[25:31]the permission of God so one of the things that the prophets
[25:34]have is access to the rape access to the Unseen and this
[25:39]is a controversial topic amongst Muslims today one of the accusations of
[25:45]the Nancy some of the extremists like the salafi wahhabis they say
[25:50]Yushi why because you say that your imams and the prophets they
[25:54]have knowledge of the Unseen so here this all goes back to
[26:02]not understanding the Quran correctly when someone does not truly understand the
[26:06]Quran it's going to lead them to accuse someone else of shirk
[26:11]or it's going to lead them to committing shirk themselves and not
[26:14]truly understanding the Quran because there are verses in the Quran in
[26:18]Surah 27 verse 65 Allah says in the Quran say that no
[26:25]one in the heavens and in the Earth has the knowledge of
[26:31]the Unseen other than Allah and another verse Allah tells them if
[26:45]tell them if I if I have the knowledge of the Unseen
[26:49]then I would seek more more things for myself because they used
[26:51]to come to the prophet they used to tell them what's happening
[26:53]now tell us there's those that sallallah tells them no I'm not
[26:57]a I'm not a fortune teller I I'm telling you what God
[27:03]is telling me so now how do we reconcile between the prophet
[27:06]having knowledge of the Unseen like Aisa he tells them I will
[27:11]tell you what you have in your house what you're hiding I
[27:13]will be able to raise the dead I will be able to
[27:17]do all these things that are Divine things and only Allah has
[27:21]the one who gives life only Allah is the one who takes
[27:25]life how do we reconcile between this exactly everything that Jesus does
[27:33]everything that Musa does everything that rasulullah does this is all done
[27:40]by what by the permission of Allah thank you everything that's done
[27:45]is done by the permission of Allah so if it's done by
[27:51]the permission of God then where's the problem that's how we reconcile
[27:54]Jesus used to raise the dead by the permission of God we're
[28:00]not saying he did it independently tells people you this is what's
[28:07]going to happen and that's what's going to going to happen but
[28:10]so Allah does this Allah gave you that knowledge and we say
[28:16]the same about the imams he knows of an event that's going
[28:22]to happen in the future does this mean that they have independent
[28:26]knowledge of God no they have knowledge that is from Allah another
[28:32]point that we will talk about is the infallibility of the Prophet
[28:38]Muhammad I'm sorry my throat is a little bit scratchy so one
[28:48]topic that is um uh uh also a controversial topic which we
[28:55]discussed a couple of weeks ago in one of our lectures is
[29:00]the topic of the usma the topic of the infallibility of the
[29:05]prophets and The Messengers this also has several justifications several proofs one
[29:12]is a logical proof a logical proof for this does it make
[29:18]sense for God to put us in a test and not send
[29:23]us a teacher no so that's why God sent prophets and Messengers
[29:26]at all times okay so now we accept God sent prophets and
[29:32]Messengers is it fair or does it make sense for God to
[29:34]send Messengers but these Messengers every day they're doing something wrong every
[29:37]day they're doing something immoral is that acceptable what does this mean
[29:44]this means that God either made a mistake God did not know
[29:49]that they're going to make a mistake or God's is intentionally misleading
[29:53]us he tells me you have to follow rasulullah he tells me
[29:57]you have to follow Isa you have to follow Musa they're the
[30:00]prophets of God if you don't follow them you're going to hell
[30:02]and then what happens when you follow them they're making mistakes does
[30:07]that make sense no what's very unfortunate is that right now the
[30:14]books of the Muslims the books of the Hadith and many of
[30:19]the Muslims they have an understanding of rasulullah and the prophets that
[30:27]they were individuals who did immoral things who did things that were
[30:35]wrong right now A few days ago we celebrated there's a Hadith
[30:40]in bukhari and Muslim Came Upon him and he tells him you're
[30:47]a prophet he goes to Khadijah and he starts doubting in himself
[30:53]and he starts thinking that he's going mad and he's hallucinating and
[30:58]he's all of that is this something that is acceptable one Hadith
[31:03]says he wanted to commit suicide he he thought that he had
[31:10]gone mad meaning he did not believe in the message he did
[31:13]not believe in jibrail and he's trying to convince other people to
[31:16]believe in him is this acceptable so this is why we the
[31:23]followers of the albat because we take our Elm we take our
[31:25]Akita we take our knowledge from the imams of the Arabic they
[31:29]have the pure access to the knowledge the others they took it
[31:32]from other individuals who did not have the real access to the
[31:35]knowledge so we understand that the prophets or any Divine representative there
[31:42]has to always be a Divine representative and any Divine representative must
[31:47]be a person who's inerrant must be a person who's masum a
[31:51]person who does not do things that are wrong because if they
[31:54]did things that are wrong other people they're going to do the
[31:58]wrong and then what's going to happen on the day of judgment
[32:00]they say why are you punishing me when this person did the
[32:03]same thing yes sister so according to RFA we believe in the
[32:11]14 being the absolute Muslim right right yes no the prophets are
[32:18]also masum that's a given the prophets they have to be masoom
[32:26]if they're a prophet sent by God if God is appointing this
[32:28]person as a prophet if this person makes a mistake then that
[32:32]means god did not know that this person is going to make
[32:36]a mistake or this means that God sent this person and knew
[32:38]they're going to make a mistake and told people you have to
[32:41]follow him if you don't you're going to be punished that's intentionally
[32:44]misleading people so we believe that all the prophets are infallible and
[32:51]this we have narrations from the imams of the alphabet so this
[32:54]is a logical reason one tells you that anyone who was sent
[32:58]by God has to be inerrant has to be and second you
[33:03]have a quranic reason we'll we'll go to your question just a
[33:06]second we have Quran and Hadith the Quran Allah says talking about
[33:13]Prophet Ibrahim in Suraj multiple tests you finish them once he finished
[33:24]them Allah tells him you have reached the position of Imam and
[33:31]here we understand that the position of Imam is even higher than
[33:36]nabua and higher than rasala and some of the prophets are also
[33:42]imams like rasulullah like Ibrahim they are imams now Ibrahim God gave
[33:50]him this position of Imam he says what about my progeny what
[33:54]about my children are they going to have this what does Allah
[33:57]tells him someone who's an idol worshiper someone who sins someone who
[34:10]does wrong have any of the prophets did any of the prophets
[34:12]worship idols not a single day in their life did any of
[34:18]the imams worship idols not a single day of their life this
[34:21]is one of the proofs for the Imam of Imam out of
[34:24]all the other sahaba who used to worship idols at least the
[34:30]others who came and claimed to be Khalifa the first three they
[34:32]claimed to be Khalifa they used to worship idols for decades decades
[34:36]they used to do sujuta and Idol even right now when they
[34:43]mention him what did they say about him his name Allah honored
[34:47]his face why because he only did sujood to Allah yes brother
[34:57]so here this we have Hadith from the imams of the Albert
[35:03]there's a Hadith a dialogue because Imam when he went to Moon
[35:09]he used to have this dialogue intellectual Gatherings with him so he
[35:14]tells him how do you say the prophets are infallible because the
[35:18]Sunni belief the Nancy I believe is that the prophets are infallible
[35:22]they don't say they're not infallible they say they are infallible but
[35:26]only when they are delivering the message meaning that only when they
[35:33]are only when they are um delivering the message that is when
[35:37]they are infallible other than that they could make a mistake right
[35:44]now there are several narrations Musa the angel of death he wants
[35:49]to come and take his soul what does he do he gets
[35:52]angry and what does he do he punches him and he knocks
[35:56]out his eyes this is mentioned in the books he gets drunk
[36:02]this is this these are all passed on from the israeliyat we
[36:08]don't accept them they say this is in the Bible and then
[36:10]this these made their way into the books of the Muslims why
[36:16]because Umar when he was Khalifa he had a really close friend
[36:19]his name is was a man who was Jewish but he converted
[36:27]to Islam and he used to sit he he was given a
[36:30]platform he was the friend of the Khalifa he used to sit
[36:33]and he used to tell these Israelite stories so a lot of
[36:38]these stories that are biblical they made their way into our books
[36:42]into our books of Hadith so there's one example of course you
[36:49]have many others and they used to say and they used to
[36:52]say for example new this is the these stories are similar in
[36:54]the Bible no one day he was he got drunk and drunk
[36:59]and drunk then he slept and his private parts were showing so
[37:05]he has three sons some etic some you know semetic or the
[37:12]Arabs and the Israelites they're from Sam Sam ham and the office
[37:17]so uh ham I believe he is the they say he is
[37:24]the father of the Africans Psalm is the father of the Arabs
[37:29]and yaphath is the father of I don't know the Asians or
[37:31]something like that so they say that the other two they laughed
[37:38]at their father ham he laughed at his father so his father
[37:41]he does a dog against him and his sons and his progeny
[37:45]they all became black after that so it's race it's not only
[37:51]it's racist it's wrong it's immoral it's accusing the prophet of drinking
[37:54]it's accusing the prophet of being so drunk where his private parts
[37:57]are showing and his kids are laughing at him this is in
[38:01]the Bible this is not in our books but it's made its
[38:02]way into our books it's made it its way into our books
[38:09]can this be accepted for a prophet of God of course not
[38:12]we cannot accept this so we say that private life public life
[38:18]whatever it is the profits are infallible the prophets are Role Models
[38:22]Allah role models for us you have the best role model if
[38:33]rasulullah is our role model then why would we how could we
[38:38]divide his life into public when he's delivering the message and private
[38:42]his own home right now in bukhari and others of course A
[38:46]lot of these narrations they go back to Asha they say that
[38:51]one day there was a group of people a band a marching
[38:52]band they came in the Masjid of the prophet and they were
[38:57]jumping and dancing and doing their parade and the prophet he said
[39:00]yeah I'm not done come on just let them come and dance
[39:02]in the Masjid and the prophet had a window from his room
[39:06]from his house overlooking the Masjid so he carries his wife Asha
[39:13]so that she could look so that she could even watch is
[39:16]this something moral is this something they say the prophet he stands
[39:20]and he urinates in front of people is this something acceptable this
[39:25]is not acceptable but it's very unfortunate that the the prophet he
[39:31]did say but there are going to be a lot of people
[39:34]that are going to make up false narrations so we believe that
[39:40]the prophets private or public they did not commit sin okay so
[39:43]now what about what about um Adam eating from the tree what
[39:52]about Musa he pushes the person and and there are several instances
[39:56]where someone could probably bring out cases yunus Eunice he left his
[40:04]people Allah I'm every single one of these cases he comes and
[40:16]he clarifies it for example Adam when he ate from the tree
[40:23]where was he was there Halal and Haram where he ate from
[40:26]the tree there was no tashriya there's no laws to say I
[40:32]don't care go ahead and smoke I'm telling you this for your
[40:36]own good I'm telling you this for your own benefit it's not
[40:39]going to hurt me Allah here he tells the person this he
[40:45]tells Adam if you want to stay in heaven don't eat from
[40:47]the tree if you want to go to Earth eat from the
[40:50]tree so this is what happened it was a Haram halal Musa
[40:53]he pushes the man this was an accident musad was not trying
[40:58]to kill him and that man was a person who was from
[41:00]the enemies of prophet Musa that man probably had committed a lot
[41:08]of yunus when he escaped yes we have a concept that some
[41:11]Scholars they call tarkila meaning not doing the best remember we said
[41:18]prophets are in levels not all prophets are at the same level
[41:23]you have the Azam Prophets we did not see that he had
[41:29]the Azam he didn't he didn't have that strong willpower but does
[41:31]that mean he did he committed a sin no he didn't come
[41:35]out of sin but he didn't have that strong willpower that strong
[41:41]power that rasulullah and the other prophets they had Eunice when he
[41:45]left his people he also guided them and then he he left
[41:47]them he didn't do anything Haram because they refused to listen to
[41:54]him but Allah some people they they don't understand this verse correctly
[42:03]some people they understand it that we can't do anything to hurt
[42:09]him to defeat him this is not what it means it means
[42:11]meaning he thought that he's going to be totally safe he ended
[42:17]up being the one who went through a series of tests yes
[42:27]yes uh yes there are prophets there are there are prophets just
[42:35]because the Quran did not mention it does not mean that there
[42:39]isn't the Quran talks about Prophet Israelite Prophets The Quran talks about
[42:43]era prophets because it came down to this group of people perhaps
[42:46]Native Americans they might have had a prophet in Asia and other
[42:52]places there might have been prophets because the akal tells us that
[42:57]every Community every group of people must have had a a prophet
[42:59]a guide that shows people the way so here yes brother did
[43:09]you have go ahead go ahead but nowadays we would um we
[43:23]have an Imam which is muscle yes in a way that we
[43:32]we know he existed but we don't communication right that's why we
[43:36]go and follow the Maharaja and um I do know we have
[43:43]a variety of Maharaja right that they have different opinions some may
[43:48]say you know playing chess in all this stuff right plus then
[43:57]I mean one day I would I've done something that I consider
[44:08]my major I considered Halal but other more Japanese is that really
[44:13]fair because the whole purpose of following some someone you don't have
[44:18]to to be confused so now we're confused right so so the
[44:23]it's not absolute confusion will go away even during the time of
[44:28]rasulullah there were people that did not believe in the prophet or
[44:32]there are people that still did not know the truth the the
[44:34]whole point of God sending a prophet messenger is that the truth
[44:40]will not be lost eradicated meaning there has to always be Kalima
[44:46]to haq amongst everyone this is why one of when they talk
[44:51]about one of the principles of deriving Islamic law it's called jamaa
[44:57]what does mean they come and they say if you see everyone
[45:01]everyone the whole Muslim ummah is all United on one law that
[45:09]means this law must be the truth why because if there was
[45:13]opposition to it then you then it would not be a Jamaica
[45:18]and since everyone is united in it some Scholars they say we
[45:23]accept it because the Imam is within them so the Imam his
[45:28]job is if there's something wrong he would give his opinion either
[45:32]directly or indirectly through a murder through a system he would give
[45:38]his he would give his opinion to show that let there not
[45:41]be ijima on the wrong this is the job of the Imam
[45:47]now regarding regarding and different opinions and here and there this is
[45:52]Justified because you're following you're following who you think is the knowledgeable
[45:57]person they they all have access to the Imam they all have
[46:01]they all have access to the Imam either directly or indirectly maybe
[46:07]the Imam could in some way you know send them like we
[46:11]have narrations where foreign he was asked a question and in one
[46:15]way the Imam not in a direct way where he came and
[46:18]he told him this is the rule through an indirect way he
[46:25]let the find out that this has to be answered in this
[46:29]way later on after that interaction realized that that was the Imam
[46:34]that he had met so it doesn't mean that the the existence
[46:38]of the Imam that everyone will be on the haq during the
[46:41]time of Imam ADI there were a lot of people that were
[46:42]on the battle but the job of the Imam is that there
[46:46]has to be at least one person saying the truth what is
[46:52]if I'm following some some merger and he's making mistake they all
[46:55]can be right this is for sure right they can't owe me
[46:59]right yeah so if I'm following having football with the wrong one
[47:03]it's not my responsibility so yeah it's not your responsibility as long
[47:08]as you follow the based on the right criteria you didn't follow
[47:12]someone oh because this person is easy or this person is this
[47:14]and that no you actually there's a list of Maharaja right now
[47:19]if you follow those it's like right now if I go to
[47:24]a dentist there's there's 40 50 dentists in the area maybe one
[47:27]of them is going to do something that's not right maybe someone's
[47:29]gonna pull out the wrong tooth or something but I go to
[47:33]the dentist because they have the credentials as long as I did
[47:36]that then then that's fine but the job of the Imam is
[47:40]is that we we believe that the Imam is his job is
[47:46]to not allow meaning consensus on the wrong if there if everyone
[47:52]if we're all United on the wrong imagine if all the shias
[47:57]in the world were all United on something that's wrong will there
[48:00]be on the wrong no because the Imam he'll voiced his opinion
[48:04]either directly or indirectly yes Hajj what about the other like for
[48:16]example in China what about the Chinese people do they have invest
[48:19]a message from Imam of Xavier so as we mentioned when we
[48:27]talked about the justice of God Allah judges everyone based on their
[48:31]own knowledge based on their own understanding and Allah sends a a
[48:35]type of guidance to everyone right now perhaps your way of learning
[48:41]about Islam your way of being guided us through the internet no
[48:45]one we live in an era especially right now we live in
[48:49]the era of information maybe there could be a prophet that's somewhere
[48:53]or Imam somewhere but Imam media will make the information reach you
[48:56]and you're on the other side of the world it's very possible
[49:00]through the internet through other means through satellites but we believe that
[49:04]Allah sends prophets and Messengers so that people at least in that
[49:12]community in that Society in that country not everyone will be United
[49:16]on the wrong there has to be one person who says the
[49:17]word of the truth yes Okay so when it comes to when
[49:26]it comes to and I will conclude with this when it comes
[49:31]to the quranic verses that might suggest that the prophets did something
[49:35]for example he frowned and he turned his face what do the
[49:43]nunchata say who do they say this is about they say there's
[49:47]about rasulullah he frowned and he turned his face when a poor
[49:49]person came to him is this accepted we can't accept this so
[49:54]here when it comes to the tafsir of the Quran who's the
[49:59]one who has the legitimate authority to do tafsir for us the
[50:03]prophet and the imams of the Allah says in the Quran that
[50:08]there are some verses in the Quran who Allah and this is
[50:12]in Surat um Allah says there is verses the mother of the
[50:38]book these verses you can't change them Allah the intelligent person the
[50:43]non-intelligent person the one who it's clear for everyone but then there
[50:50]are other verses there are verses that are not so clear there
[50:53]are verses that are ambiguous some people they come and they take
[51:06]the ambiguous verses like for example Adam disobeyed his Lord or something
[51:13]you know they take these kind of verses they come and they
[51:15]change the meaning they either take the literal meaning or they give
[51:20]it its own definition and then what happens they change the beliefs
[51:24]that's not what was the intended message of the Quran the Allah
[51:27]sent the Quran but he also sent prophets the prophets and the
[51:33]guides and the imams to show us and explain to us the
[51:36]Quran yes brother no it could be even yeah there are some
[51:55]things that are Haram for some that are not Haram for others
[51:59]but at the end of the day this is Justified if you
[52:02]are following a merger and you are you know that this merger
[52:07]is someone who is qualified they have the credentials at the end
[52:12]of the day this is their understanding of the faith so this
[52:15]is what we discussed regarding the prophets inshallah in the next session
[52:19]we will talk about the imams any other questions about the prophets
[52:22]yes brother yes no their whole life we believe that a prophet
[52:37]a prophet is a prophet even before it it becomes very apparent
[52:44]the prophet is chosen by Allah then there's a time that Allah
[52:51]announces their prophethood but they're always prophets and they're always pure and
[52:54]purified by Allah yes yes sister yes go ahead and then you
[53:03]okay that he was created for earth right yes so it was
[53:15]not like uh punishment for him to go to the Earth he
[53:21]meant to go there exactly that was the overall the the wisdom
[53:24]behind creating and the reason behind creating Adam was that eventually he
[53:29]has to come down to earth it was just a matter of
[53:34]timing for him and then also you know like I was listening
[53:36]to One good lecture there was a point that whatever the action
[53:42]the Givens Prophet did it was the best action at that time
[53:46]it was a what compared to anybody else he did the best
[53:59]thing at that period of time yeah we have narrations that say
[54:05]the prophets of God or the Hajj of Allah during their time
[54:07]they always do that which is best during their time yes exactly
[54:14]yes thank you sister yes sister ways that is a Revelations to
[54:23]you so how zebra is Allah would inform would order to do
[54:33]something there's a there's also a way where Allah speaks to the
[54:36]angels perhaps they hear a sound as well or some in some
[54:42]way yes the Quran tells us how the angels have a dialogue
[54:45]with Allah maybe maybe it comes in their hearts maybe they understand
[54:59]it in some way the Allah could Allah could speak to individuals
[55:04]Angels Animals like the bees so Allah speaks to them in their
[55:11]own way in different ways because the human being that's why Allah
[55:31]communicated the message because so for us on Allah sometimes it was
[55:36]directly on his heart sometimes it was through Jabra in in his
[55:41]Grand and his Grand future they say that the first time came
[55:47]in his Angelic form which they say his wings they cover the
[55:55]horizons sometimes jibril would come in a figure of a human being
[55:59]there was a man a good looking man from the sahaba his
[56:02]name is sometimes the the Muslims they would say the prophet speaking
[56:08]to this man and then when he goes he says I was
[56:10]speaking to jibrate so jibril was was with me and sometimes it
[56:15]would be through a dream as well so rasulullah he had multiple
[56:19]ways of Allah speaking to him because he had access to always
[56:21]but there were other prophets that would only be in dreams there
[56:26]were other prophets that would only have the intuition depending on how
[56:30]high their level is okay how many pro how many Russells there
[56:38]were out of the many prophets I believe I saw a number
[56:44]like 313 there there's also there's also uh many narrations regarding this
[56:49]but I believe um I saw a narration that says 313 Russians
[56:53]out of the 313 Messengers out of the prophets this is one
[56:59]number and there are other numbers some of some of the narrations
[57:01]are kind of not uh they're not all at the same number
[57:06]but yes there were there were a significant number of them were
[57:10]messengers of Allah yes sister issues so you said that although they
[57:18]were not again yes they were muhadin the family of the prophets
[57:26]and we believe that rasulullah for sure because they're they're they're the
[57:31]fathers of the imams their fathers were pure they were tahar they
[57:38]were Believers in God some they add that they were prophets as
[57:42]well now that's put that aside but either whether you accept their
[57:45]prophets or not we believe that the ancestors of the prophets and
[57:49]even and this is also an issue of dispute amongst Muslims because
[57:53]right now there are some they narrate Hadith from the prophet that
[58:01]his father and Abu Talib are in Hellfire they keep repeating this
[58:05]they come and they say of fire and his brain is being
[58:12]boiled by the just because he's the father of Imam Ali they
[58:14]don't say this about the father of any of the other sahaba
[58:18]but because he's the father of this is you always hear this
[58:21]being repeated took in the prophet he helped the prophet so we
[58:26]believe that these were all muhadin all the way until Ibrahim the
[58:32]ancestors of the prophet those who who They carried at one time
[58:36]They Carried rasulullah and they passed them on Allah says and you
[58:42]were passed on and the loins of those who are the prostrators
[58:48]those who used to prostrate to Allah they were on the religion
[58:58]of either on the religion of Isa that's the religion and that
[59:08]was a religion of tahit religion of worshiping and praying to God
[59:11]and that's what they used to do yes they never worshiped idols
[59:13]and Mecca Mecca originally was not an idol worshiping City it was
[59:18]established by Ibrahim over time they started introducing Idols yes sister yes
[59:30]yes we believe that the ancestors of the added bait they were
[59:36]pure yes
