[0:00]foreign foreign [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] foreign in any and Allah [Applause] foreign
[1:36][Applause] We are continuing the tafsir of Surat Taha Surah 20 in
[1:49]the Quran if you have your phone if you have a Quran
[1:52]there are some qurans over there or in the back feel free
[1:55]to open the Quran yesterday we did the tafsir of verse 1
[2:02]all the way until verse 8.
[2:03]now the interesting part of the Story begins of the Surah and
[2:12]that is the story of prophet Musa mentions the story of prophet
[2:20]Musa many times throughout the Quran and Prophet Musa is the prophet
[2:26]that is mentioned the most in the Quran if someone asks you
[2:29]what is the name that is mentioned the most in the Quran
[2:34]which name would you answer Prophet Musa other than Allah of course
[2:41]yes Prophet Musa name of a person so Prophet Musa out of
[2:48]the prophets he is mentioned the most and in surataha Allah in
[2:53]the beginning in the first part this Quran is from God it's
[3:04]a reminder it's from the one who created the heavens and the
[3:08]earth and the sky and all of that now attack Hadith now
[3:13]why does Allah mention stories of prophets that came before us why
[3:22]is the story of prophet Musa mentioned so many times in the
[3:25]Quran why does Allah talk about Prophet Ibrahim why does Allah talk
[3:30]about Isa and all of these Prophets for of course many reasons
[3:35]the Quran is not a book of Stories the Quran is a
[3:37]book of lessons and morals and principles and every story in the
[3:47]Quran is going to teach you some principles it has a purpose
[3:51]behind it the Muslims during the time of rasulullah they were struggling
[3:58]so Allah shows them that there were prophets that came before just
[4:02]like you have a prophet the Jews had a prophet the Christians
[4:05]had a prophet Ibrahim Zakaria all of these prophets they were sent
[4:12]to people so this helps encourage people to believe in rasulullah or
[4:17]when Muslims are going through difficulties go and look at what other
[4:21]people had to go through so the story of prophet Musa alaihi
[4:26]salaam is one of the Beautiful Stories and it's a long story
[4:29]there are many parts of the story in Surat it begins with
[4:36]the beginning of the prophethood of prophet Musa how did he become
[4:42]a prophet right now if someone asks you how did rasulullah become
[4:45]a prophet we all know the story of dagar when he went
[4:52]to the cave and jibril came down upon him this is how
[4:58]Prophet rasulullah became a prophet what is the story of prophet Musa
[5:02]so here verse 9 verse 9 attack Hadith and have you heard
[5:11]has the story of prophet Musa reached you what is it is
[5:30]so here there's a jump in the story of prophet Musa we
[5:35]know and later on the surata is going to explain he was
[5:41]born in a year where frown Pharaoh had seen a dream and
[5:48]he had seen a prophecy that there is going to be a
[5:49]child from bani Israel one of the Israelites one of the newborn
[5:57]children is going to be the reason why Pharaoh loses all of
[6:00]his power and all of his authority so what did France start
[6:07]doing Pharaoh he started ordering for all of the children of bani
[6:11]Israel to be killed they would inspect the mothers they would see
[6:15]if she was pregnant if she was going to be if she
[6:17]was about to give birth and they would they would kill that
[6:26]baby Allah hid the pregnancy of the mother of prophet Musa the
[6:30]same way Allah had the pregnancy of which Imam Sharif so she
[6:38]had her baby and then later on in the story it's going
[6:43]to mention she comes and she places her baby Allah tells her
[6:46]she hears a voice Allah tells her to take your baby and
[6:52]place the baby in a cradle and put the baby in the
[6:55]Nile the baby goes she wants to she wants the baby to
[6:57]survive and be away from frown who does the baby where does
[7:01]the baby end up going ends up going to the house of
[7:07]frown sends in divers people to come and take that basket out
[7:10]of the river and then he ends up raising he ends up
[7:14]raising Prophet Musa once he's raising Prophet Musa grows older he sees
[7:20]the Injustice that is taking place against Benny Israel so what does
[7:25]he do he sees one day he sees one of his people
[7:30]being oppressed by the pharaoh's guards and Pharaoh's people he goes and
[7:34]he tries to save that person when he tries to save that
[7:40]person the the person who's on the side of frown he falls
[7:45]and he dies now Musa becomes a fugitive he escapes he escapes
[7:51]he goes to median where Prophet sawaib was he goes to madhyan
[7:56]there he serves Prophet for 10 years 10 years he serves prophet
[8:05]sawib and Prophet shahib marries him to one of his daughters now
[8:09]Musa salaam is fulfilled his ten years so I tells him I
[8:12]will protect you be with me for 10 years he serves him
[8:17]for 10 years he takes care of him then what happens is
[8:22]ready to go back to his people he's ready to go back
[8:28]and see his family his brother Haroon his mother is there her
[8:32]sister they're all there bani Israel he wants to go back but
[8:38]he wants to go back in a secretive way why because he's
[8:41]still a fugitive the authorities frowns government they're searching for this man
[8:48]who is Musa they're searching for him and they know him very
[8:52]well because Musa was raised in the house of Quran he has
[8:57]his mother excuse me his wife and his wife is pregnant she's
[9:04]about to go into labor she's about to give birth and ready
[9:06]to go into labor so what happens Musa so that the authorities
[9:13]and people don't see him he he separate he doesn't travel with
[9:15]people he travels in the middle of the night and away from
[9:20]people and as he is traveling his wife begins to go into
[9:27]labor his wife is about to give birth he's in the cold
[9:32]desert there's nothing no food how's he going to provide for his
[9:36]family so now Allah says and have you heard the story of
[9:48]prophet Musa what is the story he saw a fire he saw
[9:53]a fire A Burning Tree a burning bush he saw it he
[9:59]tells his family wait here I saw a fire but he doesn't
[10:08]say he says meaning aunts aunts in the Arabic language it means
[10:16]finding comfort finding being restful he says I found Comfort through this
[10:22]fire because imagine you're lost in the desert your wife is about
[10:28]to give birth you need some warmth it's cold he's trying to
[10:31]find some warmth he's trying to find something so that he could
[10:37]keep his family safe and protected so he saw a fire so
[10:40]he tells his family he tells his wife wait I'm gonna go
[10:45]get the fire in the anes [Applause] he says wait here for
[10:56]I have spotted a fire perhaps I can I can bring a
[11:01]torch from it it takes a piece of stick he goes and
[11:02]he lights it on that fire and he brings it as a
[11:07]torch or [Applause] or find some guidance in the fire what would
[11:15]people usually what kind of guidance do people want to when they
[11:17]want fire either to see because it makes light or warmth or
[11:24]to cook something so fire is what brings protection is what brings
[11:29]safety and Sanctuary to all of us people we need fire we
[11:36]need heat we need warmth to survive Salaam he goes his main
[11:43]objective is to find fire but what did what ended up happening
[11:48]to him he ended up becoming a prophet of Allah he ended
[11:54]up being tasked with the message of saving and guiding bani Israel
[12:00]and this is why rasulullah he tells the people he tells the
[12:06]Muslims he says have hope in what God has planned for you
[12:18]more than what you have planned for yourself Musa I was planning
[12:21]to find fire that's something simple but Allah had a very different
[12:30]plan for him and this is why my dear brothers and sisters
[12:33]we need to strengthen our faith in Allah we need to strengthen
[12:39]our Iman and Allah because Allah is the one who will find
[12:43]us a solution better than the solutions that we have in mind
[12:56]God consciousness will bring you a solution to all your problems and
[13:04]the risk and the sustenance from God will come to you in
[13:08]a way that you did not account for in a way that
[13:10]you did not even calculate and this is the beauty of Iman
[13:17]when you have full faith in God then Allah will be the
[13:20]one who will support you have your faith be in God instead
[13:44]of in people a lot of times we make calculations in life
[13:48]we make plans and our plans they're held upon one person if
[13:54]this person comes if this person ends up giving me the job
[13:59]if this person ends up accepting me if this person who is
[14:02]it better to have our hope in people or God Allah because
[14:08]people are always either they're unable to help you or they're unwilling
[14:14]to help you sometimes people they want to help you but they're
[14:16]unwilling they can't they don't have the power they don't have the
[14:23]authority but when you have your hope in Allah anyone who turns
[14:29]to God will not be rejected anyone who has fear you turn
[14:50]to God God will give you that safety God is the one
[14:52]who will be there for you Salaam but suddenly he saw a
[15:04]fight so he tells his family wait I found the fire maybe
[15:10]I could find guidance through this fire now verse 11.
[15:13][Applause] he goes to the fire suddenly he hears a sound what's
[15:21]that sound yamusa meaning God used to speak to Prophet Musa now
[15:31]how does God speak does God have a mouth like I have
[15:37]a mouth no Allah doesn't have a body like you and I
[15:39]because if God has a body that means God would be limited
[15:43]and if God is limited then that means God is not God
[15:45]anymore so how did Allah speak to Musa Allah created sounds just
[15:52]like right now you hear the thunder who creates that that sound
[15:56]of thunder who's the creator of the sounds even my sound right
[16:02]now each person of us we have our own pitch we have
[16:05]our own sound every person they have their own unique sound out
[16:11]of the billions of people not one person not two people are
[16:15]identical in their sounds isn't this one of the miracles of god
[16:17]people not one person not two people share a thumbprint every person
[16:25]has a unique thumbprint this is all the creation of Allah so
[16:29]if God is able to create sound out of me and out
[16:34]of you and out of everyone else and the animals and the
[16:36]trees and the plants and all of that and the Thunder and
[16:40]the lightning Allah so Allah created sound and Musa would hear the
[16:45]sound from all around him it wouldn't be from One Direction because
[16:49]God is not in one place what does he hear Musa Allah
[16:57]speaks to him and he tells him it means oh Musa then
[17:04]what verse 12.
[17:04]Musa foreign I am your lord I am it is truly I
[17:23]am your lord so take off your sandals for indeed you are
[17:27]in the sacred Valley of Tua it was a valley it was
[17:33]a sacred Valley that was where Allah spoke to Prophet Musa and
[17:40]Allah Allah spoke to him Allah created sound and he spoke to
[17:48]him now the non-muslim because the story you find parallels to the
[17:52]story in the Jewish uh scriptures and some of these Jewish scriptures
[18:00]they have made their way in the Muslim books as well why
[18:05]there was during the time of the second Khalifa Umar he had
[18:10]a man who was a Jewish rabbi he converted to Islam his
[18:13]name is the second Khalifa he gave him the podium and he
[18:22]gave him the member he tells him sit and tell stories so
[18:25]this man used to sit and tell stories some of these stories
[18:31]they have Israelite roots in them and sometimes some of these stories
[18:37]they contradict the Quran and they contradict the way we regard prophets
[18:41]for example in the Bible right now you go and you read
[18:43]the Bible it says that Prophet Noah he got drunk and his
[18:48]private part started to show and then his kids they started laughing
[18:50]at him and then he and then one of them he prays
[18:54]for him he becomes the father of the black people and another
[18:56]he becomes this and that and then this samian the Semitic from
[19:02]Psalm his son Sam they became the good ones because his son
[19:05]Sam was the one who said don't he told his brothers don't
[19:09]make fun of our father of course the story doesn't make sense
[19:12]this means that Prophet a prophet of God is getting drunk and
[19:17]it's it's uh it's a it doesn't make sense at all these
[19:20]stories some of these stories they've made their ways into the Muslim
[19:27]books as well we the followers of the island we filter because
[19:30]the adult teach us how to regard the prophets the Quran helps
[19:36]us filter the Imam Assad that has given us a mechanism on
[19:39]filtering the Hadith knowing which Hadith to accept and which Hadith to
[19:43]not accept so here one of the one of the versions that
[19:51]we don't accept they say that Prophet Musa was wearing slippers of
[19:54]a donkey skin a dead donkey skin Mita and Allah tells them
[19:59]take it off this is not right for you to wear it
[20:03]of course this doesn't make sense Prophet Musa knows better Prophet Musa
[20:07]is a prophet of Allah even before God has officially appointed him
[20:11]as a prophet he's still a prophet of God we believe that
[20:17]they were born as prophets so so Salaam Allah tells him [Applause]
[20:32]take off your sandals why take off your sandals because you're in
[20:37]a sacred place right now if you come into a Masjid are
[20:39]you going to be wearing sandals no you take them off so
[20:49]here Allah tells him this now there's another deeper meaning the Quran
[20:56]apparent meaning and it has a wheel a deeper meaning That's How
[21:03]we'll we can't we can't derive the deeper meaning on our own
[21:07]otherwise we would be doing tapsir Al-Quran meaning we would be doing
[21:11]interpretation of the Quran and this is Haram and this is unacceptable
[21:17]sometimes they give us the deeper meaning because they have access to
[21:24]the knowledge so the imams of the wheel of this means now
[21:31]Allah is going to give you a responsibility take all of the
[21:35]distractions all of the worldly distractions take them out of your mind
[21:41]and now Allah has given you a mission don't worry your king
[21:46]kids your wife your family God will take care of them and
[21:49]this is exactly what happened as soon as Allah spoke to Musa
[21:55]Musa he began to focus exclusively on the order of Allah now
[22:01]verse 13 Allah says in the Quran and I have chosen you
[22:15]you have been chosen so listen to the revelation of Allah now
[22:20]the question is why did Allah out of the thousands of bani
[22:27]Israel they say that there were seventy thousand or excuse me not
[22:31]seventy thousand there were seven hundred thousand bani Israel of the Israelites
[22:36]there was over 700 000 of them why did Allah choose Musa
[22:41]why did Allah choose Prophet Musa out of everyone else why did
[22:47]Allah choose Allah out of the others there must be a reason
[22:53]Allah doesn't choose someone for no reason and Allah there are people
[23:01]that God chose why did God choose them why did God choose
[23:05]the alibate we need to ask ourselves this question if Allah is
[23:09]telling me this should make me think why did God purify them
[23:18]and not others is there a reason behind God purifying them maybe
[23:21]it's so that we follow them but today people Muslims they read
[23:26]this verse and they say yeah they're just good people so we
[23:29]have to ponder we have to think about the Quran why did
[23:35]Allah choose Prophet Muslim there are several Hadith that says why God
[23:40]chose Musa out of everyone else one reason according to Hadith is
[23:47]that when he used to do sujood he used to prostrate to
[23:53]God he used to put his cheeks the side and this side
[23:54]and his face he would put it on the ground he would
[23:58]rub it on the Earth why to remind himself that this is
[24:05]the earth that we will all go to to not be arrogant
[24:07]to not look at others in a way where oh someone is
[24:12]beneath me I am better than this person and I am better
[24:15]than that person no you're not better than anyone and this is
[24:19]the philosophy why we the followers of the Island Bait we pray
[24:25]on the earth we pray on the soil why is it that
[24:27]Allah wants me to put my forehead on the soil and not
[24:32]on some silk or some fabric or some carpet because this is
[24:35]the Earth this will be my bed this is what I will
[24:38]be laid down on even when we bury someone even if someone
[24:43]is buried in a coffin what they do is they take some
[24:47]soil and they put it inside the coffin and they put the
[24:49]person's right cheek on that soil that's it this is going to
[24:54]be my bed this is the pillow that my head will rest
[24:58]on and Allah says this Earth from it we created you and
[25:12]to it we will return you and from it we will resurrect
[25:15]you so this is why we have an association with the Earth
[25:21]this is why we do soil we do we do sujood on
[25:27]the earth so Musa salaam he used to prostrate to God and
[25:29]all the prophets used to prostrate are you sir used to prostrate
[25:35]zakariah used to prostrate all the prophets would do sujood to God
[25:37]because that is the greatest form of submission to Allah when you
[25:45]do sujood and that is the position where you are the closest
[25:48]to Allah when you are in your sujood so Musa used to
[25:53]do this is one another reason is because of musa's compassion and
[25:59]mercy for 10 years he was a Shepherd for shahib prophet he
[26:08]used to he used to take care of the sheep and the
[26:12]cattle of prophet sawib this was his job he used to do
[26:18]that one day one of the sheep that he's supposed to watch
[26:21]out for it ran away and what does Prophet Musa do Prophet
[26:26]Musa he starts tracing it and chasing it and chasing it goes
[26:31]upper up a hill Musa runs after Upper Hill it goes down
[26:34]the valley Musa runs after it down the valley Musa became exhausted
[26:38]the Sheep itself it became so exhausted from running and then finally
[26:44]at the end of the day Musa was able to capture it
[26:48]now if it was any normal person they would be upset they
[26:54]would be angry the Hadith says that Musa he began to hug
[26:58]it and he's began to speak to the Sheep he tells the
[27:01]Sheep why are you running away I'm caring for you I'm and
[27:05]he began to you know rub his hand on it and show
[27:11]it love show it love because every creation of Allah deserves to
[27:15]be loved there's not a single creation of God that does not
[27:19]deserve love if God created you if God Made You worthy of
[27:22]living that means you deserve to be loved and the prophets of
[27:27]Allah understand that this is why it's Haram for example in Islam
[27:31]to hunt for fun some people they go hunting for fun why
[27:35]because this is a life if you're going to eat that's one
[27:40]thing but if you're going to just hop for pleasure it becomes
[27:42]Haram and even in the month of Ramadan if someone does that
[27:48]they're traveling do to hunt for fun they have to pray full
[27:50]even if they're traveling there's a ruling because this is Safar masaya
[27:53]this is a travel of a disobedient travel to go hunting just
[27:59]for pleasure if you want to eat then that's a different thing
[28:02]so this is the reason why Allah chose him Allah tells the
[28:05]Angels when he sees Musa holding the Sheep he's cradling it he's
[28:11]hugging it is taking care of it Allah tells the angels look
[28:14]at this man look at the mercy he has even towards the
[28:17]animal this man is worthy of being a prophet of Allah because
[28:21]if you want to be a prophet of God you want to
[28:24]guide people you have to guide people with love you have to
[28:29]guide people with compassion religion and the word of God is not
[28:32]spread through violence it's not spread through intimidation it's not spread through
[28:38]fear-mongering it's spread through love and showing compassion so Musa had two
[28:44]qualities no arrogance he does sugude on the ground he places his
[28:51]face and his forehead on the earth and second his heart was
[28:54]full of mercy and this is how rasulullah was rasulullah Allah at
[29:00]least three times in the Quran he describes rasulullah as a man
[29:03]of Mercy Allah and any one of us my dear brothers and
[29:16]sisters if we want to spread the message of Islam if we
[29:22]want to spread the message of the Quran how should we do
[29:26]it we do it through love we do it through compassion we
[29:29]do it through kindness this is the only way so Allah tells
[29:36]Musa and I chose you you have been chosen because you had
[29:45]certain qualities now listen to the revelation of Allah what does that
[29:53]mean for stomach it means that now you're a prophet that's it
[29:57]since I chose you and now you have to listen now you
[30:03]have been commissioned with a task and now as soon as Allah
[30:06]spoke to Musa what happened to Prophet Musa he became an official
[30:09]prophet he became a prophet of Allah and Allah says in the
[30:16]Quran God does not speak directly to a Bashar this is not
[30:24]in the in the verse this is a difference Allah a I
[30:35]or through a hijab meaning through a Avail like like or he
[30:47]sends the the person a rasool meaning who was the rasul who
[30:53]was the rasool that would deliver the message to the prophets which
[30:59]angel he would come to the people so sometimes the prophets they
[31:05]would have a dream sometimes they would see a vision sometimes they
[31:09]would see jabrael coming to them Allah will speak to them now
[31:14]verse 4 verse 14.
[31:16]what does Allah tell him Allah tells him it is truly I
[31:34]am Allah there is no God worthy of worship except me so
[31:36]worship me alone and establish prayer for my remembrance now in the
[31:47]first time when Prophet when Allah spoke to him the first time
[31:55]in verse 12 in the anarab book I am your rub now
[32:03]and Allah is the caretaker first Allah wants to tell him oh
[32:07]Musa I'm the one who has been there for you meaning the
[32:11]caretaker this is why could be rabbit bait they say a housemaker
[32:15]someone who takes care of the house I take care of the
[32:31]camels and for the house of Allah Allah as a lord the
[32:36]lord of the house will take care of it so Rod could
[32:41]apply to other people if you're taking care of someone who's taking
[32:45]care of people raising people they call them murabbi first Allah tells
[32:49]him I am the one who took care of you I am
[32:53]the one who has been with you this whole time but now
[32:55]Allah wants to send Musa as a prophet to deliver the message
[33:03]of guidance so he tells them in Nani and Allah I am
[33:08]Allah now other people could be rub meaning the caretaker of such
[33:12]and such but can someone be Allah no one could be Allah
[33:18]that's it it's the name that is exclusively for Allah so who
[33:24]is Allah there's no deity that is worthy of being worshiped other
[33:34]than me now maybe people worship other gods with the lowercase G
[33:39]but those Gods they're not worthy of being worshiped the only one
[33:42]that is worthy of being worshiped is the one who is the
[33:53]creator of the universe in the previous last night yesterday we described
[34:07]God is the one who has control of the universe the sky
[34:12]the heavens the Earth what's in between he has knowledge of everything
[34:16]so that is there is no one that is worthy of being
[34:22]worshiped other than me so if there's no one worthy of being
[34:27]worshiped other than Allah then who do you have to worship who
[34:31]is the one that's worthy of being worshiped Allah so he says
[34:38]worship me and uphold prayer to remember Allah what is the whole
[34:54]purpose of Salah the whole purpose of Salah the whole purpose of
[34:57]worship is what to remind us of Allah God doesn't need my
[35:03]prayer God doesn't need nothing not my zakats not my prayer not
[35:08]my Hajj nothing none of that all of these acts of worship
[35:14]there for me because they help me remember Allah who are the
[35:25]ones who remember Allah those who remember Allah so when you pray
[35:35]what happens when you pray you begin to remember Allah Allah says
[35:51]those who remember God those who pray they are the ones who
[35:58]remember Allah we have to always remember God my dear brothers and
[36:04]sisters if there is one person or if there's one power that
[36:08]you will always remember every day let that be Allah don't ever
[36:15]forget Allah because God is the one who we have to remember
[36:20]in happy times and sad times and comfort when we're angry at
[36:28]any time in our life we have to remember Allah [Applause] on
[36:39]the day of jummah what is the duty of every Muslim to
[36:44]go to remember Allah When you pray you're going to remember Allah
[36:48]in times of sin when we have committed sin when we have
[36:54]done wrong we have to remember Allah what when they do a
[37:07]sin and they oppress themselves who should they turn to that is
[37:20]Musa remember me pray to remember me and this shows you that
[37:27]prayer has a goal prayer has a purpose if I've been praying
[37:32]my whole life and I don't remember God then that means there's
[37:36]a problem with my prayer we have to remember Allah at all
[37:43]times Allah tells Musa remember me call upon me Musa tells Allah
[37:47]how should I call upon you know Allah are you far so
[37:58]I have to shout and yell there are some people when they
[38:02]do Dua they're always yelling as if they're fighting with someone or
[38:11]are you close so I whisper how should we call upon Allah
[38:16]the answer is any way you want anyway you want you want
[38:20]to raise your voice as long as you're not waking anyone up
[38:22]you're not bothering anyone there's nothing wrong with that you want to
[38:26]whisper whisper to Allah you want to talk to God in your
[38:33]heart in your mind you don't even say another anything you just
[38:36]have that thought that is also a way to talk to Allah
[38:39]so when Musa asked Allah replies back Allah replies back to Musa
[38:54]oh Musa I am the partner of whoever remembers me meaning I'm
[38:57]sitting next to you as soon as you remember me as soon
[39:02]as God comes in your mind in your heart then Allah will
[39:04]be there for you Allah is not going to leave you Allah
[39:08]is not going to ignore you there's another Hadith meaning its own
[39:15]words from God where Allah says nothing can contain God can something
[39:25]contain God can you place God in one room where he's contained
[39:30]in that room nothing Allah says nothing can contain me not my
[39:35]Heavens not the Earth not anything could contain Allah because God is
[39:40]greater than everything but Allah says there is one place that I
[39:44]will be in foreign there is nothing that contained God but the
[39:57]heart of the believer God will go in God will be in
[40:02]your heart you just have to make room for God you just
[40:06]have to accept God in your heart how do I make room
[40:08]for God in my heart today a lot of us we ask
[40:14]this question how do I bring change to my life how can
[40:15]I make room for Allah for spirituality why is it that I
[40:20]don't feel the Dua why is it that I don't feel the
[40:24]Quran why is it that I don't feel the Salah one answer
[40:27]my dear brothers and sisters is because our heart is already preoccupied
[40:32]with this Dunya when my heart is already preoccupied with money with
[40:39]wealth with satisfaction with pleasures of the Dunya then there's going to
[40:44]be no room for Allah to enter what do I have to
[40:48]do if I want to move into a house if I want
[40:51]to go and put my belongings in a room in a house
[40:54]in a place what do I have to do I have to
[40:58]take everything out take out things empty it clean my heart and
[41:05]then allow Allah to enter in my heart so if I have
[41:07]shaytan he's nesting in my heart if I have my desires if
[41:13]I have my enough that's nesting in my heart I have some
[41:16]habits that I'm not willing to let go of so how is
[41:20]Allah going to enter into my heart the only way for Allah
[41:25]to enter into my heart is if I have to kick out
[41:27]everything else this is why we say before you want to read
[41:37]Quran before you want to do any act of kindness before you
[41:41]want to do anything good what do you do you begin by
[41:45]him out of your heart shaytan is nesting in your heart kick
[41:52]him out so that there will be space for Allah to enter
[41:58]now Allah says remember me and pray worship me and pray to
[42:13]remember me now when we remember Allah what happens Allah will also
[42:19]remember us Allah says on the qurani remember me and I will
[42:27]remember you if you want God to remember you then that means
[42:30]you have to remember Allah what does mean when we say we
[42:40]say what does that mean this is different from late I bear
[42:50]witness that you used to pray it means you upheld prayer it
[42:58]means that prayer was a a very important integral part of your
[43:01]life as prayer integral in our life some of us we delay
[43:06]prayer I do all my work I fulfill all my meetings my
[43:11]tasks everything that I have and then yeah two minutes left until
[43:14]the sun goes down or two minutes left until it becomes then
[43:18]I go and I pray and some of us we pray when
[43:19]it's when it's late this is Haram you want to remember God
[43:28]and God will remember you why do we have to remember Allah
[43:35]because the next verse because the hour is surely coming the hour
[43:50]is coming when we compared to the akhara compared to yomantriyama this
[43:56]life is nothing this life is going to be a split second
[43:58]compared to Eternity mathematically speaking I've mentioned this before mathematically speaking the
[44:06]day of judgment and Jannah is eternal so if you take eternity
[44:11]and you compare it with any number no matter how big that
[44:18]number is compared to Eternity how what's that number going to be
[44:24]mathematically that number is going to be nothing it's going to be
[44:27]insignificant even if we lived a billion years even if we live
[44:32]10 billion years compare it to Eternity so what does that mean
[44:38]that means that this life is just a blink of an eye
[44:42]this test trials difficulties happiness stress anxiety all of that we deal
[44:48]with it's something so fast is it worth this blink of an
[44:50]eye something that's so short we sacrifice we sacrifice the akhara for
[44:54]the sake of this does it make sense it doesn't make sense
[44:59]even if you want to talk about it from a mathematical perspective
[45:02]it doesn't make sense so meaning the day of judgment will surely
[45:10]come that's it there's no no question about it but Allah says
[45:20]in the Quran but it will be kept hidden does anyone know
[45:24]when the day of judgment is going to be even rasulullah doesn't
[45:29]know why because Allah tells us the philosophy and the justification behind
[45:36]it why so that every Soul every person will be rewarded by
[45:50]the effort they put we all know when the day of judgment
[45:57]is if we all know when we die we're going to live
[45:59]our lives and then five days ten days one year before our
[46:04]death we go and we change our lives and that's it but
[46:07]this is why we don't know when we die no one knows
[46:10]we don't know maybe today I'm healthy maybe tomorrow I go to
[46:15]the doctor and they tell me there's a problem maybe something will
[46:19]happen there will there were people with us last year today they're
[46:23]no longer with us did they plan do they take account for
[46:28]this no they didn't they weren't planning for this they thought that
[46:31]they're going to live forever because of a wisdom so that people
[46:43]are tested yes [Applause] when is it going to be about he
[46:54]says and this is the this is the message that Allah [Applause]
[47:18]do not allow so don't allow anyone to bring you away so
[47:24]do not let those who disbelieve in it meaning the people are
[47:29]thrown the non-believers do not allow those people who disbelieve in the
[47:35]akhara and and do not and they follow their desires and distract
[47:38]you or you will be doomed so this is a very important
[47:46]integral Point as to who we should take as a friend who
[47:48]we should take out lessons from in our lives if someone does
[47:53]not believe in the akhara if someone does not believe in accountability
[47:56]is this is it safe to associate with that person too much
[48:01]no it's not why right now imagine we're sitting in a test
[48:07]we're sitting at school in a math test in an English test
[48:09]whatever it is and the person sitting next to me is acting
[48:13]like there's no test the person sitting next to me is totally
[48:17]disregarding the fact that there's a test is this person going to
[48:22]be a good influence on me or a bad influence on me
[48:23]bad influence of course because they're disregarding the fact that we're being
[48:27]tested so Allah says don't let those who do not believe in
[48:36]the akhara distract you from your goal from your vision from your
[48:43]aim and what will they do and those people who only follow
[48:50]their desires there are some people all that they want out of
[48:54]this Dunya you see them you look at their life maybe they're
[48:57]old they're young whatever it is but all that they want out
[49:02]of this Dunya is what pleasure the only one desires they only
[49:07]follow their desires they don't respect rules they don't respect the Creator
[49:13]they don't respect Allah any of that you have to disassociate with
[49:17]that person so now Allah introduced to Musa which is a part
[49:28]of the osunadeen he introduced him the resurrection and third he's going
[49:34]to make him a messenger of Allah Allah is speaking to Prophet
[49:40]Musa inshallah the next part we will continue it tomorrow alhamdulillah so
[49:54]we said that there's um there's going to be a question every
[49:58]night so tonight there's a question from yesterday's lecture you have to
[50:06]be here to submit your answer and those who submit their answers
[50:12]they will be entered into a drawing on the day of Aid
[50:18]inshallah the winner will win uh what was it Apple watch the
[50:21]the winner will win an Apple Watch so it's an easy question
[50:25]from yesterday's lecture you could give it a try if you were
[50:30]if you were not here you could give it a try if
[50:33]you know the answer but it's going to be up for a
[50:33]few minutes five minutes and then it will go down Quran Quran
