[4:12]welcome with muhamad muhammedi Muhammad respected brothers and sisters Thursday night is
[5:36]one of those nights which have been mentioned in the Hadith to
[5:42]have a very important significance in a muslim's life now as we
[5:50]know there is a calendar that is considered to be the Gregorian
[5:55]calendar that we go with and then we have a lunar calendar
[6:01]which is a calendar which follows the movement of the Moon the
[6:07]Gregorian reliz on the Sun but there's also something that's called a
[6:14]spiritual calendar it's a calendar that revolves around the spiritual benefits and
[6:22]spiritual effects the connection between the spiritual world and the physical world
[6:27]and in this calendar we have certain days that have more benefits
[6:34]or effects that differ from the other days so Thursday night is
[6:39]a night where prayers are more answered there's more activity that occurs
[6:45]between the spiritual world and the physical world Friday is also a
[6:51]very sacred day that's why the Friday prayers was prescribed upon the
[6:58]prophet Sall and therefore prescribed upon the Muslims because on this special
[7:04]day there's also a certain type of activity that occurs between the
[7:08]physical world and the spiritual world that doesn't occur on other days
[7:13]now how do we come to know this is because the prophet
[7:16]sallai wasam through his spiritual journey through perfecting himself spiritually through connecting
[7:24]to Allah subhana tala through becoming who he is the final messenger
[7:30]at the greatest of all creations as we Muslims believe he was
[7:35]able to remove the veils that that are between the physical world
[7:40]and the spiritual world and a lot of people are able to
[7:46]remove these veils every individual if you purify yourself if you undergo
[7:52]spiritual exercises if you go against your animalistic self you fight against
[7:58]your desires you fight against your physical desires and passions you're able
[8:03]to become more spiritually inclined and when I refer to that I'm
[8:07]not referring to becoming in a good mood only or feeling happy
[8:12]or joyful all the time or feeling at peace all the time
[8:15]that's an effect of being spiritual but that's at a much lower
[8:20]level what happens when a Believer begins to get closer to God
[8:27]through their prayers and not just performing the Salat in a normal
[8:32]way no performing a sincere type of prayer connecting to God removing
[8:37]those veils that are between the person and God the person's able
[8:44]to start seeing things that they were not able to see before
[8:47]in a Hadith that we have the prophet sallallah wasam talks about
[8:54]or talks to the m the Believers and he tells them if
[8:59]it wasn't for the Devils or the the satans that are revolving
[9:01]around your hearts your souls then you would have seen what I
[9:05]see and you would have heard what I hear but there are
[9:09]things that prevent us when you're too inclined to the physical world
[9:12]this is what you see you use your two eyes that are
[9:17]on your face and you only see the physical reality that's why
[9:20]in another Hadith IM says that the person every person has two
[9:28]eyes or two pairs of eyes the pair of eyes that he
[9:30]sees the dun with and then he has two eyes in his
[9:35]heart in his soul and through that he's able to see the
[9:41]or the spiritual world but those need to be revealed the veils
[9:45]have to be lifted so the prophet through his spiritual exercise and
[9:51]his Detachment from this world and his connection to Allah subhana wa
[9:54]tala that Journey that he undertook where when he became 40 Gabriel
[9:59]descended to him onto him and brought the message to him he's
[10:06]able to see Angels now to hear angels angels are part of
[10:09]the spiritual world they're not part of the physical world that's why
[10:13]we cannot see them so they're part of that other realm but
[10:16]because the prophet's Soul became so powerful and strong that veil was
[10:20]removed and so he was able to communicate with that being he
[10:25]was able to see and be present in that world all the
[10:27]time so through this presence through this removal of the veils the
[10:31]prophet was able to see that on the day of Friday there
[10:38]is more spiritual activity that occurs more Angels descend onto the Earth
[10:43]on Thursday night the same thing is also true on certain days
[10:47]of the year like the night of Al the night of Destiny
[10:52]the prophet told us that on this night According to some of
[10:57]the narrations what happens for the next year is prescribed for you
[11:02]of course not with a permanent marker right you can change some
[11:05]of that stuff but in general the point or the state that
[11:10]you're in on that night whatever is for the next year is
[11:12]prescribed on that night and the prophet knew that because he was
[11:17]able to see this reality he wasn't just guessing or he wasn't
[11:20]just told he was witnessing what was occurring in the other realm
[11:25]on this night and so out of the blessings and kindness and
[11:27]mercy that he has he sh shared this with us as Believers
[11:33]and those followers of his so Thursday night is one of those
[11:36]nights that the prophet and the IMs told us to pay close
[11:38]attention to because if you do things on this night you do
[11:45]Dua supplications prayers you recite Quran any good deed that you do
[11:50]is Multiplied on this night so one of those things that we
[11:54]have and a treasure that we have is the supplication that we
[12:01]recite every Thursday night which is named du the supplication of k
[12:07]k was an individual who IMI taught this prayer to we have
[12:12]this narrated from him and the IM says that Al Al is
[12:17]a very mysterious personality he's mentioned in the Quran but whenever he's
[12:21]brought up it's as if he was the one who carries all
[12:26]these spiritual secrets and he used to teach them to the prophets
[12:28]and the imams some individuals or Scholars say that was a prophet
[12:32]himself and in some narrations we have that the prophet is a
[12:38]being like Isa like Jesus he doesn't die he until now he's
[12:43]alive of course on the day of judgment everybody will end at
[12:47]that point but he has lived for many many years so he
[12:49]transmitted this Dua to the IM and the IM and turn taught
[12:55]it to K and we received it and it's one of the
[13:01]most beautiful supplications any person can read so what I thought we
[13:05]can do tonight based on a few lectures that we've had before
[13:09]is to spend some time to contemplate over this Dua the idea
[13:15]is not just to recite the Dua and make movements and sounds
[13:18]from our mouths it's very important and when we're talking to God
[13:22]we're very well aware of what we are saying to him We're
[13:25]communicating with him you know when you're sitting down with your friends
[13:30]and someone's like you know chatting on the phone and you're having
[13:34]conversation with them and you say something and you're really like interested
[13:37]in this topic that you're talking about and you're you know is
[13:40]something that's very important to you but your friend's busy on their
[13:44]phone they're not paying that attention to you right once you finish
[13:47]the sentence they'll respond with something that's very like summarized or simple
[13:51]like yeah yeah yeah I get what you mean oh man that's
[13:56]terrible you know cuz he heard like one bad incident in the
[14:00]conver like you're talking and you said you said the word fell
[14:04]so he assumes like I got to say oh that's terrible right
[14:08]so this type of communication is not valuable Comm communication it's not
[14:11]something you would say that you know is some uh has a
[14:17]type of value and appreciation when you're talking to the other person
[14:20]when you're speaking with someone especially when a parent is speaking to
[14:24]a child or a child to a parent you have to give
[14:28]them your full attention a child notices and realizes when their parent
[14:32]is not paying attention to them and it happens in a lot
[14:34]of families the child comes to the parent talking about something and
[14:38]the parent is busy with their phone or watching something and they
[14:42]try to dismiss the child but that child is speaking their heart
[14:45]out to them what they're saying is very important and they want
[14:48]to be given that attention and they feel it when they grow
[14:54]up every child remembers we're we've grown up and we can remember
[14:57]our childhood everybody can remember if they're parent parents gave them that
[15:01]attention or not everybody knows that when I was a child and
[15:03]one day I came to my mom or dead and I said
[15:05]so and so and so and they just brush me off right
[15:09]these things stay in the mind and the Heart of a child
[15:13]so you have to pay attention to this type of behavior you
[15:14]might not think it's very important you think it's just a kid
[15:17]right what do they know what are they going to remember but
[15:21]we were kids once and a lot of our memories should teach
[15:24]us if we think about them if we practice contemplation over our
[15:29]lives we should understand that when we were at that age there
[15:32]are certain memories that remain with us some we forget about yes
[15:37]but there are ones that we don't forget about so the children
[15:41]that we have are experiencing that same thing and even nowadays it's
[15:45]much more difficult to maintain that attention for the children because of
[15:50]all the distractions that we have the same thing applies to reciting
[15:53]duas that supplications we don't want to be talking to Allah having
[16:00]that distraction in our mind we don't want to just be speaking
[16:02]to him with making sounds or uttering sounds like something that's generic
[16:07]or something that's repetitive right we're supposed to speak to him as
[16:12]if we are emptying our hearts out to him one way to
[16:19]help us do that is to contemplate over the words that we're
[16:23]using now there are different types of prayers one time you know
[16:29]you're walking down the road and you drop your phone or you
[16:35]drop your purse or you drop something and then you talk to
[16:38]Allah subhana T in that moment Ya Allah why did this happen
[16:42]to me or Ya Allah don't make this day bad for me
[16:44]right that's the type of prayer that usually comes out in the
[16:49]moment and it comes out from the heart usually that has its
[16:52]own purpose there are other prayers that have different purposes so you
[16:56]might say to yourself why should I read du why don't I
[17:00]just pray my own prayer why don't I just invent my own
[17:02]prayer right this is a question that we have so it's not
[17:07]wrong to invent your own prayers for your own needs but you
[17:10]shouldn't always rely on your own invention of prayers why because most
[17:18]of the time we don't wish for the best for ourselves in
[17:22]the moment you have a certain desire in your heart you think
[17:26]that what you're asking for is the best thing for you like
[17:29]if you're in the teenage and your parents you know tell you
[17:33]you know build a connection with God go pray in the room
[17:37]talk to God you sit down on the prayer mat and you
[17:40]say oh Allah I ask you from the bottom of my heart
[17:42]let my dad buy me a PS5 right that's the kind of
[17:47]Dua why because that's a need you feel that you have at
[17:49]that moment that's what makes you happy in life you think that
[17:53]the world revolves around this yes it might satisfy a certain need
[17:57]for you and it's not a bad thing to ask Allah subh
[18:00]for anything that you want it's not a bad thing but we
[18:02]shouldn't always make all our supplications and demands and prayers from Allah
[18:08]based on our own whims and desires sometimes we ask for things
[18:11]that are not good for us in the bigger picture or in
[18:16]the long run what we ask for might harm us you might
[18:21]apply for a job and you pray from the bottom of your
[18:23]heart oh Allah give me this job and if he does give
[18:27]it to you you wish that I wish I never got this
[18:32]job right or if you're young and you fall in love with
[18:33]someone and that's it you say Allah give me this girl or
[18:38]this girl says give me that guy that I don't want to
[18:39]marry anyone else right and you're busy with all those emotions and
[18:43]feelings of romance and love and esec especially if it's a first
[18:49]love there you don't see anything in front of you this person
[18:52]is everything right but then God knows that in the future this
[18:56]individual if you were a bit more mature and you're a bit
[19:01]more aware of what's important in life that this person is not
[19:04]suitable for you right now you're not thinking with your mind or
[19:09]even if you're thinking with your mind you don't see a certain
[19:13]thing in their characteristic that Allah knows so Allah was not going
[19:17]to answer every prayer that you ask for out of his kindness
[19:22]and mercy sometimes he gives us things even if they harm us
[19:25]because we asked for them but we learn from those things so
[19:27]sometimes Allah says if I don't give you this thing this person
[19:32]is never going to learn how to change so he might give
[19:34]that thing and then you figure it out on your own because
[19:38]you have to know that Allah subhana wa tala is more knowledgeable
[19:41]than you this is in one of the or saying in IM
[19:47]is narrated to have said that I knew Allah subhana tala or
[19:53]I came to know Allah subhana tala through the change of plans
[19:59]and the breaking of promises or not promises breaking of um things
[20:05]that I've intended to do so I plan to do something I
[20:13]plan to go to a park I plan to travel somewhere and
[20:15]my plans get ruined Imam says I knew Allah subhana T I
[20:21]come to know about him when my plans get ruined why because
[20:26]I learn that I'm not the one who controls my own destiny
[20:29]I'm not the one who knows what's best for me all the
[20:33]time there's always a bigger planner than I so he takes these
[20:36]circumstances which seem to be difficult and hard on the outside to
[20:42]to to tolerate and uses it to benefit his knowledge for Allah
[20:45]to Allah tala or of Allah subhana tala when you plan something
[20:49]and it doesn't work out for you the Imam says this teaches
[20:54]you that Allah is there it reminds you of Allah watching over
[20:57]you so there are things that we do in life that might
[21:01]not be for our own good and Allah removes those from us
[21:04]or protects us from falling into those problems now when it comes
[21:09]to the duas that the imams have written because the imams were
[21:13]more excelled spiritually because because the imams were more advanced spiritually they
[21:19]were they're able to see things that we cannot see so a
[21:21]parent when they grow up and their children are young and they
[21:26]want that PlayStation or they want that you know uh gaming computer
[21:29]and and whatnot the parent knows that if their child spends their
[21:32]whole time gaming from morning to night that they're not going to
[21:37]succeed in life they're not going to have a good life they're
[21:38]not going to be able to find a job they're not going
[21:41]to be able to have a career because they're not studying they're
[21:43]not spending their time in what's important for them for their future
[21:46]now how does a parent know this well because the parent went
[21:52]through the trials of life right they Advanced they moved forward they
[21:55]went through the trials they've experienced that childhood that teenage they've experienced
[22:01]the 20s and the 30s so here from this experience and awareness
[22:06]the parents are able to protect this child and teach them and
[22:11]guide them where to go the same thing applies spiritually the imams
[22:18]are those individuals who have matured spiritually much more than we have
[22:24]they've detach themselves from this D they've seen the true reality of
[22:28]this world so when they write a Dua for us they teach
[22:34]us exactly what to ask for they teach us and tell us
[22:36]what is it in the speech with God that you have to
[22:40]say or talk about because this is what's preventing you from moving
[22:44]forward this is what's preventing you from reaching that high status you
[22:48]might think it's a problem but the Imam redirects your attention to
[22:52]another problem which is the real problem and one example of this
[22:57]is Dua kit of course it's a very long Dua and we
[23:00]won't be able to go through it because of the shortage of
[23:03]time but this is a nice series if somebody ever here wants
[23:06]to go through a series or read the Dua and contemplate over
[23:10]it is very beautiful to spend some time since you're coming here
[23:14]every Thursday night to open the Dua and read it not as
[23:18]a prayer or supplication read it with the intention of seeking knowledge
[23:22]not every Dua you have to read with the intention of it
[23:24]being a supplication you can pick up du and say today I'm
[23:29]going to decide to read this as a study I'm going to
[23:31]study it my intention is to seek knowledge so you begin dissecting
[23:38]word by word so when we look at the Dua I'm going
[23:39]to go through a few sections here just to kind of give
[23:43]you a few ideas and a few hints as to how to
[23:46]go about doing this muham so I'll begin with this section oh
[24:02]God or oh Allah forgive me the sins that destroy or remove
[24:10]the protection now the name Allah was used the IM says Allah
[24:17]the IM Allah means Ya Allah the IM could have used any
[24:23]other name of God right why didn't he say or why did
[24:33]he say the name Allah in Islamic understanding is that name which
[24:39]they refer to as the all comprehensive name meaning that all the
[24:43]other names are included inside of it when you say Allah it
[24:47]means it includes the infinite names of Allah subhana wa tala are
[24:53]included in that so when you say Allah you're invoking all the
[24:57]names and in other situations you can use different names of Allah
[25:04]you can say right depending on what you're asking for So when
[25:10]you say Allah or the IM tells us to say Allah he's
[25:16]teaching us that in this situation you're invoking all of Allah subhana
[25:21]tala's names you're referring to a very general type of asking oh
[25:31]Allah forgive me the sins the noob means sins andan before that
[25:42]means forgiveness in the language in Arabic linguistically refers to concealing to
[25:47]say is to conceal it so when you say is conceal my
[25:54]sins or remove my sins now there's a lot that I wanted
[25:59]to mentioned but I'm not going to be able to go through
[26:00]these so I'm going to skip some parts and I'm going to
[26:04]focus on certain sections which I think are more important when you
[26:07]talk when you talk about sins which kind of sins are you
[26:11]referring to we have General sins which include all types of sins
[26:18]and then we have specific sins so here the IM is telling
[26:20]us that there is a type of sins that removes a form
[26:26]of protection that we have not every sin has the same effect
[26:35]as the other sin some sins remove that spiritual protection that you
[26:40]have sometimes you want to commit a wrong thing but there's something
[26:44]that stops you from doing you something that protects you from falling
[26:49]when you're in a very difficult situation in life this is because
[26:52]there's a certain sin that you have not committed in your life
[26:55]you're still protected by the spiritual protection but there are things that
[27:01]you may do in life that will remove this protection from you
[27:07]here is that protection you've all heard of the word right the
[27:12]infallible masum is the person who is protected from committing sins so
[27:22]here are those protections that we have when we look at the
[27:26]Quran we see that Allah subhana tala when describing the story of
[27:30]all of you must have heard of the story of it was
[27:44]revealed to Noah none of your people will believe except those who
[27:49]already have faith so do not lamed you know Alam spent hundreds
[27:57]of years between his people trying to guide them and the individuals
[28:02]were not listening to him only a few people believed in his
[28:04]message over 700 years Alam lived amongst his people and still they
[28:11]did not listen to him so God had ordered him to build
[28:17]this ship and as he was building it they began to make
[28:19]fun of him they're looking at this crazy person he's building a
[28:24]ship for what what is he trying to do they accuse him
[28:26]of insanity right right God tells build the ark before our eyes
[28:42]as I'm watching you and by our Revelation and do not plead
[28:48]with me for those who are wrongdoers they shall indeed be drowned
[28:52]he says don't worry about these person who are wrongdoers they don't
[28:56]know what's going to happen in a little bit once you finish
[28:59]this and you're on the ship with those Believers and that rain
[29:05]comes down and the flood begins to come at that moment they're
[29:08]going to know what wrong they have committed as he was building
[29:29]the ark whenever the Elders of his people passed by him they
[29:33]would ridicule him they used to make fun of him he said
[29:39]if you ridicule us we shall ridicule you just as you ridicule
[29:42]us andam is referring to the Future event that you don't know
[29:46]that there's going to come that day when we're going to be
[29:49]saved and our places are going to be exchanged we're going to
[29:54]be the ones who look at you and look down at you
[29:58]because of the wrong that you have done you can make fun
[30:00]of us now you can laugh at us now but you don't
[30:04]see what we see and this is how a Believer is supposed
[30:09]to be in our the believer looks with the eyes or the
[30:14]vision of Allah subhana wa tala they're able to see things and
[30:19]through things that a non-believer is not able to see so as
[30:23]he was building the ship he completes it and then he's ordered
[30:44]when our addict came and the oven gushed this is how the
[30:52]Arabic describes the situation that water that came down the Ayah the
[30:56]verse says that this water came from a place like an oven
[30:59]it gushed out it must have had some heat or something that
[31:04]allowed the release of this water from the ground and the flood
[31:08]began began to happen we said carry in it a pair of
[31:15]every kind along with your family except those against whom the edict
[31:21]has already been given and those who have faith so the prophet
[31:25]was ordered to carry his family and the Believers as well and
[31:29]then Allah subhana says and none believed with him except a few
[31:34]he said there's an there's an exception to your family and that
[31:37]was his wife alam's wife was a disobedient wife she disobeyed Allah
[31:41]subhana tal and she was not amongst the Believers so he was
[31:43]commanded to leave her behind then he said Bard it in the
[31:56]name of Allah it shall set sail and cast anchor indeed my
[31:59]Lord is all forgiving and all merciful after the water comes the
[32:10]ship goes and the people are saved Alam before that he remembers
[32:14]someone that is not on the ship with them he remembers his
[32:18]son and it sailed along with them amid waves like mountains that's
[32:35]how big the waves were they were as big as mountains Noam
[32:38]called out to his son who stood aloof oh my son bored
[32:42]with us and do not be with the faithless his son didn't
[32:48]want to go on the ship with him so he decided to
[32:53]stay behind and he responded to his father by saying he said
[33:08]I shall take refuge on a mountain it will protect me from
[33:13]the flood hear the word protection a person might think without Allah
[33:28]T's protection that they are able to protect themselves their ego is
[33:35]so big they're so self-centric that they think that no nothing can
[33:39]stop them Allah subhana is not able to defeat them I can
[33:41]take care of myself there's water there's waves there's a flood that's
[33:44]coming it's very easy I'll climb up a mountain and it's not
[33:48]possible that the water will be so much that it's going to
[33:50]cover the mountains as well so he relied on himself over here
[33:57]it will protect me from the flood he said n Alam responds
[34:03]to him there is none today who can protect from Allah's addict
[34:07]except someone upon whom he has Mercy then the waves came between
[34:11]them and he was among those who were drowned so as he
[34:16]was speaking to his son the waves came and took his son
[34:21]away and he drowned in the water so here when we talk
[34:23]about this and we read this supplication we ask Allah subhana wa
[34:27]tala to forgive us those sins that make us s think that
[34:33]we are self dependent or we're independent from Allah subhana wa tala
[34:37]those sins that make us think that we are the ones who
[34:42]are running the show in our lives there are sin that blind
[34:45]you a person doesn't wake up in the morning becoming an arrogant
[34:51]individual this is something that occurs gradually there are things that we
[34:56]commit in our lives that make us the example of the son
[34:59]of he might have been a good person at the beginning but
[35:04]he must have committed something in his life that made him reach
[35:08]this point of self arrogance where he thought that nothing can drown
[35:13]me all I have to do is I can go on the
[35:15]mountain and protect myself a storm might come some Calamity might happen
[35:20]in your life and if you rely on yourself 100% without understanding
[35:24]that there are things that are outside of your hand then you
[35:29]are someone who has lost that Vision you have lost the ability
[35:32]to understand that Allah subhana tala is able to protect you from
[35:35]certain things that occur in your lifeam according to a narration of
[35:53]IM he says that sins that destroy protection are the following number
[35:59]one one drinking alcohol if you drink alcohol you lose that protection
[36:06]that Asma Allah subhana T removes it from you it destroys you
[36:10]both spiritually and physically as well and mentally if you drink alcohol
[36:15]you're unable to see what's good for you and what's bad for
[36:18]you you're in a bad situation you're depressed you're feeling down you
[36:25]resort to drinking alcohol let's say or consuming certain types of drugs
[36:30]this blinds you from being able to make correct decisions and if
[36:33]you lose your mind you lose your intellect then the decision that
[36:37]you're going to make is probably going to be one that harms
[36:42]you so drinking alcohol removes that ability for you to protect yourself
[36:47]by Nature this is one sin that the Imam says removes this
[36:50]protection from us inshallah in our community we don't have people that
[36:54]are afflicted with this spiritually alcohol also destroys you if you drink
[37:00]in our Hadith Allah subhana T will not accept your prayer for
[37:04]40 days of course that doesn't mean that you should not pray
[37:07]you still have to pray but there's a difference between a prayer
[37:09]that you do out of obligation a prayer that is fulfilled and
[37:15]an accepted prayer we have a fulfilled prayer and you have to
[37:18]do that no matter what and then we have an accepted prayer
[37:22]the one that has a spiritual effect on you the one that
[37:24]Allah subhana accepts from you if you drink for 40 days your
[37:30]does not accepted so mentally it has an effect on you and
[37:32]spiritually it has an effect on you the other sin that the
[37:36]IM mentions in the Hadith that removes this protection is gambling if
[37:41]you gamble that's removed from you that Divine protection is removed another
[37:46]son another sin is engaging in actions that make people laugh in
[37:52]mockery and amusement you behave in a very foolish way you try
[37:57]to you mock people people you put them down you insult them
[38:01]you make racist remarks this type of behavior removes that spiritual protection
[38:09]from you another sin mentioning the false of others if you talk
[38:14]about people behind their back about their faults you backbite them if
[38:19]you always focus on criticizing individuals this removes that spiritual protection from
[38:25]you that allows you or Mak you fall into deeper and deeper
[38:29]problems in your life one day you might feel okay and everything's
[38:34]working out for you you go and you talk about people behind
[38:36]their back you backbite someone the next day it's as if the
[38:41]whole world has changed you become a different person because that protection
[38:45]has been removed this is one of the sins that removes that
[38:48]protection that you have mentioning The Faults of others another sin that
[38:54]the IM mentions associating with people who are suspicious meaning they're wrongdoers
[38:59]you hang out with their wrong crowd you you hang out with
[39:03]people who are sinners and don't want to change people that harm
[39:07]you being around those individuals causes this protection to be moved away
[39:11]as well so if you want to be protected from wrong things
[39:18]happening in your life if you want that Divine protection to remain
[39:21]on you then you have to avoid these types of sins and
[39:26]when you read the Dua you ask Allah to forgive all of
[39:33]these sins that we've committed that remove this protection from us all
[39:36]of us you know fall into the Trap of backbiting and talking
[39:39]about others and and you know describing their faults so this is
[39:42]something we have to ask for forgiveness for because that speaking of
[39:48]other people in a bad way could ruin our lives so every
[39:50]Thursday we come we ask Allah subh T to forgive those sins
[39:55]that remove this protection from us that we've committed throughout the week
[40:00]I'm going to end here because it's prayer time
