[0:57]in our last lesson regarding the stages of the hereafter we spoke

[1:05]about surat is allah and the impeccable effect it has on the

[1:13]believer at the time of death if he recites it abundantly in

[1:21]his in his recommended prayers and we read a lengthy tradition on

[1:28]that regard by imam assad then we concluded the lesson by mentioning

[1:36]a specific challenge that the believer faces at the time of death

[1:44]and that is what we call al hadillah or say the challenge

[1:50]of al hadilla and elmot what is that basically is shaytan regime

[1:58]the arch enemy of mankind who tries to deviate us day and

[2:05]night when the believer reaches the brink of death he comes to

[2:13]the believer in a tradition either iblees himself comes or he sends

[2:18]one of his devils because ibleeslanahullah he is the the chief of

[2:27]the jinn devils but he has what he has a team that

[2:33]work for him he has jinns that work for him and there

[2:38]are also humans who are in reality devils working for ellis and

[2:47]so when the believer reaches the brink of death is shaytan the

[2:55]devil tries to deviate that believer he tries to mislead him so

[3:00]the believer may exit our current world in a state of disbelief

[3:06]or a state of polytheism or a state of hypocrisy or a

[3:13]state of doubt so shaitaan at the time of our death wants

[3:19]to lead us to what to cover disbelief or nifak hypocrisy or

[3:24]sheikh polytheism or doubt doubt in the truth the main point behind

[3:33]us is to ruin our hereafter it's the same reason why he

[3:36]tries to mislead us every day and every night he wants to

[3:40]ruin our hereafter he wants us to dwell in hell fire with

[3:48]him this was his main goal and remains his main goal and

[3:53]will be his main goal until when until the day of his

[3:58]death or say the day of his killing the this has been

[4:11]his goal ever since he turned into a devil when he refuted

[4:14]to prostrate for adam alaihissalat and so he comes to the believer

[4:22]at the time of death in order to deviate him to mislead

[4:28]him because depending on the person's state at the time of death

[4:35]his faith in the hereafter will differ we said previously that every

[4:42]day in our life is important every day is important but the

[4:49]most important day is the last one the last day because depending

[4:55]on your state in the last day depending on what your state

[5:02]is at the time of death your fate will differ in the

[5:09]hereafter so you might have a person for example who was good

[5:12]for all of his life and at the time of death he

[5:18]remained steadfast and he continued to follow the path of truth until

[5:25]his last breath this person will be in heaven without doubt because

[5:31]all of his life he was good all of his life he

[5:34]was righteous he was following the path of truth and on the

[5:36]last day of his life what happened he continued to behave the

[5:43]same way he behaved before he continued to obey allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala

[5:48]so this person will be where in heaven that's a given then

[5:53]again you might have a person who was good at a certain

[5:59]point in his life but unfortunately before his death he deviated when

[6:04]i say before his death i mean he deviated before his death

[6:12]maybe years before his death or maybe a day before his death

[6:16]it does not make a difference long story short he deviated and

[6:21]became a disbeliever or a polytheist or a hypocrite or he began

[6:28]doubting in the truth when at the time of death sorry in

[6:33]the last portion of his life in the last portion of his

[6:37]life such that when he died he left this world as a

[6:42]kafir a disbeliever or a monafiq a hypocrite or a polytheist a

[6:45]mushrik or a shaq a person who doubts in the truth so

[6:54]you might have a person who was you know who was in

[6:58]a good state he was faithful but loses his faith before he

[7:06]passes away and remains in that state until he passes away what

[7:12]is the fate of that person according to al-quran al-qarim and the

[7:20]traditions of him his fate will be hell fire because he did

[7:24]not maintain his faith then again you might have a person who

[7:31]was on the wrong path who was not a believer but before

[7:38]his death he started following what the right path a year before

[7:43]his death 10 years before his death 11 days before his death

[7:50]before his death he began following the right path and he repented

[7:53]and he you know fixed his past mistakes or he you know

[8:02]began fixing his past mistakes he began fixing the mistakes that he

[8:07]had performed this person who ends up repenting and he ends up

[8:13]believing he ends up following the path of truth where will he

[8:17]be in the hereafter in heaven in heaven last but not least

[8:26]you might have a person who always followed the wrong path and

[8:32]at the time of death he also followed the wrong path this

[8:36]person will be aware in hell fire he will be in hellfire

[8:40]so long story short the state of the human being at the

[8:48]time of death determines his fate in the hereafter hence it's very

[8:56]important to do what to prepare ourselves for the last day of

[9:02]our life or the last day of our lives it's very important

[9:07]that day is the most important day and the actions we perform

[9:14]now do have an effect where they do have an effect on

[9:19]the last day so yes the last day is the most important

[9:24]one but again every day of our life is important and what

[9:30]we do now does affect what will happen on that day so

[9:34]we shouldn't take our current days lightly especially that we don't know

[9:41]when will be our last day possibly today is our last day

[9:48]possibly tomorrow is our last day possibly in hundred years we will

[9:50]live the last day of our life long story short we have

[9:56]to try as much as possible to be ready for that day

[9:58]and to die in a state of what in a state of

[10:04]repentance in a state of faith in a state that pleases allah

[10:10]subhana wa hence in the bay the supplications we have certain segments

[10:19]for example where the imam says or he teaches us to say

[10:22]um something around these lines do not bring us out of this

[10:33]world until you are pleased with us realize until you are pleased

[10:39]with us if you're not pleased with me right now and if

[10:47]i die right now i will go to hell fire then do

[10:50]not put me through that at the moment put me through death

[10:55]when you're pleased with me such that if i leave this world

[11:02]i will be in heaven this is one reason why a person

[11:13]should not wish for death this is one reason why the likes

[11:18]of me and you us fallible human beings should not wish for

[11:22]a death at the moment because if we die right now who

[11:28]says we're going to heaven we don't know right i don't know

[11:35]yes apparently i am following what the right path and following the

[11:42]path of and that is the path of truth but at the

[11:45]same time i know i have sins that i've committed i know

[11:50]that i have shortcomings and i don't know at the current moment

[11:57]what will my fate be in the hereafter hence i won't wish

[12:06]for death rather i'll say allah prolong my life so long that

[12:14]prolonging my life is good for me meaning if you know o

[12:20]god that by prolonging my life i will commit more good deeds

[12:28]i will repent more and more i will be more prepared for

[12:33]the hereafter than yes prolong my life then again i'll also say

[12:39]ya allah put me through death if you know that putting me

[12:46]through death is better for me so prolong my life if that

[12:51]is good for me if that is better for me and put

[12:55]me through death if that is better than me as in allah

[12:59]if you know that by prolonging my life i will only increase

[13:02]in sin i will only sin day and night i won't repent

[13:08]i won't continuously commit good deeds rather i will continuously sin then

[13:16]no put my life to an end at the moment bear in

[13:23]mind here we're talking about what about duha about what to ask

[13:28]allah subhanahu wa we're not saying that a person is allowed to

[13:32]kill himself that is suicide and suicide is one of the greatest

[13:36]sins one of the major sins that one should definitely avoid so

[13:43]going back to the main topic we're saying that the state of

[13:48]the human being will determine at the state of the human being

[13:52]at the time of death will determine what his fate in the

[13:58]hereafter thus traditions tell you that when the min and he whispers

[14:08]obviously he can't force you to disbelieve right similar to how he

[14:13]can't force us to sin and our uh in our daily life

[14:19]shaitaan does wasa he was purse he beautifies the sin for you

[14:25]he encourages you to sin but he cannot force you to do

[14:30]it if you don't want to do it you're not going to

[14:31]do it he cannot force you to do it so at the

[14:37]time of death he tries a certain scheme or several schemes to

[14:43]pull you away from your faith let me share with you a

[14:49]tradition on this regard which confirms what we are saying see we

[14:57]couldn't have known about this issue the issue of had it not

[15:05]been for it so we have a tradition here by imam assad

[15:17]let me just pull it out for you it is found in

[15:30]the book which is one of the primary books of hadith in

[15:40]shia islam especially the books of hadith that mention islamic laws i

[15:47]believe i told you once and i'll say it again wrote this

[15:51]book so that the average shiri or shiaya may pick up the

[15:58]book and know his laws so it's a hadith book yes but

[16:06]in it has selected the hadith that basically he uses to present

[16:18]his verdicts to present his fatah regarding jurisprudence so for example today

[16:28]when you are a follower say of say this istani and you

[16:31]want to know the verdicts of say the sustaining you pick up

[16:35]men where you'll find his verdicts [Music] these are hadith contain or

[17:08]speak the verdicts that presents to the people so in other words

[17:17]these are the hadith that he uses to do what to derive

[17:23]his verdicts he said the devil's surely the devil comes to one

[17:54]of our followers at the time of his death one second story

[18:04]sorry about that so the tradition says imam says that the devil

[18:18]surely the devil comes to one of our followers at the time

[18:23]of his death at the time of his or her death he

[18:30]comes to him from the right and from the left why to

[18:38]mislead him to pull him away from what he believes in meaning

[18:44]to pull him away from the path but allah refuses to allow

[18:55]the devil to defeat that believer he refuses to allow the devil

[19:02]to mislead the believer which means yes the shaitaan tries to mislead

[19:07]the believer at the time of death but allah aids the believer

[19:10]such that the believer vanquishes the devil then the imam says he

[19:18]says this is mentioned in the quran this issue is mentioned in

[19:23]the quran where in the quran the believers firm through the firm

[19:44]word meaning the firm belief the belief in truth one dunya in

[19:51]this world waffle and in the hereafter this is the meaning of

[19:57]the verse that the imam recited so the verse here mentions what

[20:06]it mentions how allah aids the believer and keeps him on the

[20:09]straight path keeps him on the path of faith he receives aid

[20:17]from allah when in this world and also when in the hereafter

[20:22]and also in the hereafter now realize we believers are faced with

[20:35]challenges in this world and we're faced with tests we face tasks

[20:38]now it's possible that sometimes a person might you know might go

[20:43]through a state where he loses his faith or his faith becomes

[20:48]shaky but allah constantly aids the believers to keep their faith intact

[20:54]to keep them faithful that's in this world in the hereafter you

[21:02]go through certain states where you're also in need of what you're

[21:08]also in need of aid from allah you're also in need of

[21:16]of aid from allah to answer certain questions or to reveal your

[21:27]faith in the truth for example come to question the human being

[21:37]in the grave and we're going to get to that stage in

[21:38]sha'a llah when they come to question you you're in need of

[21:45]aid from allah and allah aids the believer so he may give

[21:49]them what the right answers when they ask him who is your

[21:53]lord who is your prophet what is your religion who are your

[21:58]imams alaihi who is your imam so on so forth now what's

[22:19]interesting in this tradition is that the imam said shaytan does what

[22:25]he comes to the believer from the right and from the left

[22:28]from his right side and from his left side at the time

[22:34]of death to mislead him what do we understand from that if

[22:38]we think for a moment about these words what does that exactly

[22:47]mean here we can derive at least two interpretations and possibly both

[22:54]of these interpretations are correct as in when the imam says he's

[23:04]pointing to both interpretations the first one is physically comes to the

[23:15]believer from the right side and from the left side to mislead

[23:23]him so for example he comes to him from the right and

[23:26]the believer does what he turns away he doesn't want to to

[23:30]give in to the shaitaan's to the shaitaan's whispers so he comes

[23:37]to the left as in he does not leave you alone he

[23:41]persists at what at misleading you this is one interpretation however there's

[23:52]a second one and that is yamin and shiman here don't necessarily

[23:59]refer to the physical right side and left side rather these words

[24:10]symbolize certain schemes that the shaitaan uses certain schemes certain you know

[24:18]plots that he uses against you at the time of that this

[24:25]interpretation specifically is supported by a tafsir presented by imam al-baqara regarding

[24:38]a word that shaytan said after he refused to prostrate for adam

[24:43]salam allah declared war against who against adam and his children and

[24:52]so allah told us what shaitaan said to allah in surat ibrahim

[25:05]one second sorry let me pull out the verse for you ya

[25:12]allah i sent you the verse in surat ibrahim verses 16 and

[25:26]17 allah says since you tested me through the prostration of adam

[25:40]and i the prostration for adam and i failed hence i deviated

[25:49]then i will do the following i will sit down where in

[26:02]front of the straight path to block your slaves from following the

[26:09]straight path realize so imagine this there's a road which leads to

[26:15]heaven chaitan is sitting right in front of that road to stop

[26:20]you from taking it now if you look deeper into the traditions

[26:25]of you will realize so the reality is the main objective of

[26:46]the shaitaan is to draw us away from imam ali alaihissalam and

[27:04]he follows 124 000 prophets and he follows the 12 imams from

[27:12]and he follows the path of virtue he tries to beautify himself

[27:20]with virtues and to purify himself from vices that's a true follower

[27:26]of ali ibn abi talib shaitaan does not want you to follow

[27:31]allahi ali is his arch enemy that's how the shaitaan sees him

[27:36]hence he wants to pull you away from amir al-mu'min and his

[27:40]teachings in any way or form then he says shaitan says then

[27:50]i will come to them from their fronts from the front side

[27:54]women and from behind them one eman and from their right sides

[28:03]one shema elihim and from their left sides and you shall see

[28:09]allah that most of them will not thank you most of them

[28:11]will not be thankful so here he's saying i'm going to come

[28:18]to them from from four directions from the front the back the

[28:21]right and the left what does that mean you might say and

[28:28]i might say well it means that the shaitaan you know will

[28:30]exert all of his effort to deviate us this is a figurative

[28:38]expression meaning that he will use all of his power and all

[28:42]of his schemes to deviate us that's a nice interpretation if you

[28:47]think about it but there's a deeper one there's a deeper interpretation

[28:53]presented by imam muhammad al-baqara um imam said each of these directions

[29:29]symbolizes a specific scheme that the shaitaan uses to mislead you when

[29:36]he says i will come to them from their fronts from the

[29:41]front side he means that i will belittle the affairs and the

[29:48]stages of the hereafter you might say what's the relationship between the

[29:56]front side and the hereafter well we're going to the hereafter right

[30:02]we're going to it every breath we take brings us closer to

[30:10]al-aqira correct so it's as if it's in front of us and

[30:12]we are doing what we're getting closer and closer shaitaan belittles the

[30:18]issues of the hereafter for example he tells you you know yes

[30:22]there is a hell fire there is but don't worry about it

[30:27]even if you sin day and night you will be okay allah

[30:31]is all forgiving definitely allah is all forgiving don't get me wrong

[30:36]but we can't take allah's commands lightly just as he's all forgiving

[30:41]he's also what a punisher and his punishment is very severe yes

[30:47]he's more merciful as in he shows mercy more than he punishes

[30:55]he's very kind he's the kindest the most generous the most merciful

[31:00]subhana but when human beings take his mercy for granted and they

[31:08]begin to belittle his commands that's where they fall into doom thus

[31:14]we don't want to fall into despair and say allah will not

[31:18]forgive us that's a huge sin one of the hugest one of

[31:24]the greatest sins one can commit is losing hope in allah but

[31:27]at the same time we don't want to feel safe from allah's

[31:30]chastisement we have to stay in between we have hope in his

[31:37]mercy and we have fear from his chastisement if we do that

[31:40]then we will be successful without doubt in the hereafter he says

[31:49]when shaytan says i will come to them from their behinds from

[31:56]their backs i will command them to gather their wealth and to

[32:15]refrain from giving zakat or giving homes or paying charity and i

[32:21]will convince them in doing so by telling them keep that money

[32:25]for your inheritors see he might tell you don't you fear allah

[32:30]you have kids how could you pay homs how could you pay

[32:33]zakat don't you fear that you'll kill your kids will be hungry

[32:39]after you it's a scheme when the reality is when you pay

[32:43]homs or zakat allah amplifies your money for you allah amplifies it

[32:50]for you you will not find the person who pays zakat in

[32:54]homs and dies out of hunger no allah subhanahu wa allah sustains

[33:02]that person and causes his sustenance to grow but this is a

[33:12]scheme used by the shaitaan one eman and i shall come to

[33:20]them from their right sides the imam says i will spoil their

[33:31]faith how by beautifying misguidance and by beautifying fallacies meaning let me

[33:42]simplify my terms meaning is shaitaan when he comes to you from

[33:48]the right what is meant by this is that he uses your

[33:52]own faith your own faith against you how he instills doubt in

[34:04]your heart in that faith and he in he instills fallacies in

[34:12]your mind in your mind to make you abandon that faith so

[34:18]for example you believe in islam and shaytan regime starts to put

[34:21]doubt in you regarding for example allah's existence or the prophet muhammad's

[34:31]prophet salallahu or the imammate of any of our imams or the

[34:34]day of judgment so what what should we do in that case

[34:39]when shaitaan instills doubt in our heart we should refute the doubt

[34:44]refute it increase in faith push him away by saying for example

[35:00]and similar invocations these push the devil away or by saying for

[35:06]example but on top of that on top of saying these things

[35:15]these invocations and disbelieving in what the shaitaan is telling you meaning

[35:22]disbelieving in the doubt on top of that if you truly have

[35:28]a question regarding a specific belief study it study it refer to

[35:34]the books of beliefs like us ask the scholars about what you're

[35:42]going through about the questions that are coming to your head and

[35:46]make sure that you receive the answer that quenches your thirst and

[35:52]removes the doubt because ultimately shaitan is weak yes he can instill

[35:59]a fallacy in your mind but at the end of the day

[36:04]it's a fallacy it's not true when you look into the um

[36:11]the fallacy as in you look into the issue that you have

[36:17]a question about and you study it properly that fallacy fades away

[36:25]it evaporates for example shaitaan that say instills doubt in your heart

[36:31]about allah's existence here you pick up the book and other belief

[36:35]books and you read you know you read the proofs that confirm

[36:38]allah's existence when you do that the fallacy will be obliterated it

[36:44]cannot stand in front of those proofs or he instills doubt in

[36:50]your heart say about one of the imams with so you go

[36:54]to the books of beliefs and you read about that imam you

[36:59]read about the proofs of his imam eight as you're reading you'll

[37:04]realize that the fallacy is gradually what crumbling it's evaporating because ultimately

[37:10]fallacies are fallacies they're not true they're not true and the fallacies

[37:17]presented by the shaytan as strong as they may seem sometime they

[37:22]are in reality weak because they are forms of falsehood and falsehood

[37:28]is weaker than truth truth is strong falsehood is weak truth destroys

[37:37]falsehood then he says okay so we've understood that when he comes

[37:44]from the right what is meant by that is that he uses

[37:48]what fallacies to instill doubt in our heart one second sorry have

[37:51]fun then he says what does the left side represent he says

[38:07]the left side represents using pleasures and desire against us so he

[38:16]tries to lure us into unlawful deeds using what our desires using

[38:26]pleasure he for example beautifies a haram deed an unlawful deed so

[38:34]you may fall in it and feel that you know momentary feel

[38:40]that temporary pleasure which leads you ultimately to what to regret and

[38:49]lead you to you know hours of sadness over what you did

[38:58]so what do we realize here we realize that each of these

[39:04]directions each of these directions um symbolizes a specific scheme used by

[39:09]the devil he so when imam sadiq says in the first tradition

[39:18]we we read found in that the devil comes to the movement

[39:22]from his right side and his left side possibly the imam means

[39:27]that he uses different schemes different tactics to mislead the believer what's

[39:39]also interesting as you know some believers mentioned here does not mention

[39:48]two directions you only mention he mentions four right but there are

[39:52]two directions that are missing up and down those two are missing

[40:01]hence whatever i'm going to say is not tafsir of the verse

[40:09]but it's a it's an interesting point that we can we can

[40:14]derive from the verse one second half one so here we were

[40:23]saying that the point i'm going to present is not tafsir but

[40:26]it's derived from what from the verse that we read um and

[40:31]that is since shaytan did not use did not mention those two

[40:41]directions up and down or upwards and downwards let us use those

[40:49]two directions to defeat him up represents for us at least when

[40:56]we supplicate right we supplicate to allah and we lift our hands

[41:05]towards the sky the sky which is the abode of the angels

[41:09]the sky which is the place from which revelation descends allah is

[41:15]not in the sky nor in the earth allah is the creator

[41:21]of time and space hence he's not bound to time or space

[41:26]but the sky is a holy place it's the abode of the

[41:32]angels the residents of the angels from it revelation descends to earth

[41:37]so by using the direction of up were doing duha will will

[41:44]perform dua to do what to defeat the devil and there is

[41:53]a an interesting passage that mentions the importance of doing dua frequently

[41:58]to defeat the devil in the supplication of imam sajad ali specifically

[42:06]the one where he uh supplicates for his children for his children

[42:11]you can find it in as for down or downwards that direction

[42:19]represents sujud prostrating for allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala you know shaytan regime based

[42:26]on the traditions of despises when he sees someone in sujud why

[42:32]because sajdah not doing sujud for adam made him who he is

[42:40]today so he despises to see you in sujud when he sees

[42:43]a person in sujud it hurts him so let us use our

[42:50]sujud let us use our sajdas to combat our arch enemy sophie

[42:57]and my son you had a question uh er um um um

[43:10]i i didn't i did you say about the theme of the

[43:15]front of shaytan's and the front scheme of shaitaan's that i don't

[43:20]know if we heard it or do you if you did not

[43:25]talk about yet the front the front side yeah yes we mentioned

[43:30]that the front represents um belittling the hereafter shaitaan will make you

[43:40]belittle the stages and the affairs of the hereafter so he'll make

[43:46]you take you know the hereafter lightly and unfortunately we see this

[43:52]we see it in in our current world uh of course we're

[43:56]all in need of help from allah to to obey him and

[44:00]to be pious hence we ask allah to guide us all to

[44:03]the straight path uh but sometimes you see a person who is

[44:07]openly sinning openly sinning for example he sells wine every day he

[44:14]has this restaurant where he sells wine or you know you have

[44:19]a sister for example who does not wear hijab at all does

[44:24]not wear hijab every day she exposes her hair or for example

[44:29]you have you know someone who listens to music constantly and when

[44:34]you speak to him or you tell him you know what the

[44:38]hereafter is on its way we never know when we'll die tomorrow

[44:43]we might pass away in an hour we might pass away so

[44:48]repent before it's too late sometimes you realize the person doesn't take

[44:52]those words too seriously he just continues to do whatever he's doing

[44:58]but had he actually understood these words had these words penetrated through

[45:05]his heart not only his mind he would have repented instantaneously he

[45:12]would have repented on the spot because truly um the affairs of

[45:19]the hereafter are serious affairs affairs that cannot be taken lightly type

[45:29]let us go back to our main topic let us go back

[45:36]to the issue of the shaitan so here we have the imam

[45:43]ali telling us that the shaitan regime comes to the believer from

[45:49]his right and from his left to mislead him at the time

[45:56]of death what does the shaitaan do at that point what does

[46:00]the shaitan do here it's important to be smart and you know

[46:06]to think what might the shaitaan tell me at that point to

[46:13]mislead me why so we may prepare ourselves from now hence if

[46:18]the time of death arrives and the shaitaan comes to mislead us

[46:22]will be able to defeat him easily you know when you prepare

[46:28]very well for a test and you go to that test you

[46:29]finish it quickly when you're extremely prepared you finish it quickly you

[46:37]don't find difficulty in doing that test but if you're not prepared

[46:42]yes you might find some difficulty in it so what might he

[46:51]say remember he's devious he's very devious and so he might use

[46:58]different schemes to mislead us suppose that someone was sick and he's

[47:07]on the brink of death one second sorry very sorry for what's

[47:11]happening today so suppose that someone is sick in a hospital and

[47:22]you know he's not doing too well and he feels that he's

[47:27]not going to make it possibly shaytan will come to him in

[47:32]the form of a doctor you never know and will tell him

[47:35]you know what i have your cure i have the medicine that

[47:41]will cure you and will keep you alive but there is one

[47:47]condition for me to give you that medicine what's the condition this

[47:51]believe in allah subhanahu wa right that's a scheme now remember at

[48:00]that point when when you you actually feel that your life is

[48:04]coming to an end you might become desperate you might cling on

[48:09]to anything that might keep you alive hence it's also important to

[48:15]have strong belief in the hereafter because ultimately the believer knows so

[48:21]what if i die i'm not going into a state of in

[48:24]existence i'm going to a different world and that world is beautiful

[48:29]i'm going to meet my lord i'm going to the world of

[48:36]the angels i'm going to meet all the previous believers including my

[48:44]family members who passed away before me and were also believers i

[48:52]to fear realize is shaytaan might tell you disbelieve if you disbelieve

[48:58]i'll give you the medicine that's a scheme that's a scheme he's

[49:04]not going to give you any medicine because when your time comes

[49:07]nothing can help you at that point as in nothing can prolong

[49:13]your life if allah truly decreed that now today is your day

[49:19]and allah is not willing to change that decree then that's it

[49:25]you're going to pass away you can take as much medicine as

[49:28]you want it will not help of course that doesn't mean that

[49:34]doesn't mean that someone um shouldn't you know take the right measures

[49:38]to protect himself or to prolong his life no you should do

[49:43]so we human beings should do our part should do everything we

[49:49]can to prolong the life of a fellow human being right to

[49:54]prolong the life for example of a believer we need to do

[49:59]that but what i'm saying is if someone's time the time of

[50:06]death actually arrives and allah decrees that today is the day this

[50:12]person dies and that decree is definite as in allah decides i'm

[50:15]not going to change it that means he's going to die but

[50:21]again i do repeat it is important that we we humans implement

[50:29]the the actions that need to be implemented to preserve that person's

[50:37]life i like to use this example the example of amir al-mu'min

[50:41]and imam al-hassan was struck by ebin the imam lived for two

[50:52]days he was struck on the 19th of shah ramadan and he

[50:55]passed away on the 21st in fact he did not live for

[50:59]two full days because he was struck at the fajr at dawn

[51:05]of the 19th of the month of ramadan and he passed away

[51:09]on the eve of the 21st sahara meaning at the third last

[51:15]part of the night knew that his shahada had arrived imam al-hasan

[51:23]knew imam al-hussein knew rasulullah had said it before he passed away

[51:34]will be killed by ibn mulham as he strikes him on his

[51:40]head when amir al-mu'min is praying for his lord so they knew

[51:44]it but even though el hassan when hussain knew that their father

[51:48]was going to leave this world he was about to be mortared

[51:53]after he was struck by ibm jam they still did what they

[51:58]still brought doctors so they can um you know look at amir

[52:07]al-mu'min's condition and give him the medicine he needs prescribe the medicine

[52:12]he needs to be cured from his illness or to be treated

[52:19]his medicine was what it was milk he was in eat of

[52:26]milk and they brought milk for the imam so they did their

[52:28]part in what in trying to prolong the life of amir al-mu'min

[52:33]and salaam and trying to keep him alive although they knew they

[52:38]had certainty that he was going to leave this world and he

[52:42]had certainty as well so that teaches us a lot when it

[52:47]comes to what when it comes to taking the right measures to

[52:49]protect our lives or prolong our lives and taking the right measures

[52:53]to protect and prolong the lives of fellow human beings and it

[53:01]also teaches us i'd like to say this as a side note

[53:04]that when you have you know a relative in the hospital and

[53:13]doctors tell you to pull the plug or to take him off

[53:20]of life support you should not do so even if they think

[53:28]he's going to die life and death lie in the hands of

[53:36]allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala you never know one might be going through a

[53:42]very difficult state might be through a severe state of sickness but

[53:46]if we keep on you know supporting him giving him you know

[53:53]the support he needs treating him he might get better and might

[53:58]live on for god knows how long so long story short you

[54:06]don't know at the moment what the shaitaan might tell you at

[54:09]that point but it's important to be ready and to know that

[54:18]if any individual comes to you at the time of death and

[54:22]he tells you that he can help you so long that you

[54:29]disbelieve in allah or rasulullah or the imams or the day of

[54:31]judgment or if any individual comes to you and tries to instill

[54:37]doubt in your heart at the time of death then no that

[54:42]individual is the shaitaan so do not believe him it's a mere

[54:47]scheme he wants to fool you and he wants you to disbelieve

[54:51]so you may be in hell fire next week inshaallah if we're
