[0:00][Music] we are to follow the words of the prophet sallallahu alayhi
[0:09]wa ma Atacama Rasul of Allah do take what the prophet has
[0:12]given you but how do I know that these hadith which we
[0:17]have today are the actual words of the Prophet the Prophet really
[0:20]said them for me to obey them maybe it is these narrators
[0:28]who misunderstood the Prophet and in their own words they wrote the
[0:32]hadith for us and sometimes people can misunderstand the speaker even in
[0:37]our times that happens sometimes I'll say something and then someone in
[0:41]the audience will misunderstand he'll go out and say oh tonight to
[0:44]say it said this especially the Prophet would speak very concisely every
[0:48]word counts so it's very easy to make mistakes in it so
[0:54]how do we know that the hadith we have are accurate first
[0:57]of all this is a dilemma a challenge a problem that both
[1:04]Shia and Sunnis recognize in fact if you look at the history
[1:07]of Bukhari and Buhari we have about seven thousand one hundred hadith
[1:11]about now if you omit those hadith that are repeated you know
[1:18]redundant hadith you have about 5000 hadith in the book of Bihari
[1:28]Buhari says I took these five thousand hadith from how many from
[1:34]six hundred thousand hadith and out of the six hundred thousand hadith
[1:39]that he examined and he dealt with and he evaluated he said
[1:45]these five thousand are the sahih hadiths in his opinion so that
[1:48]means out of six hundred thousand you only believe that 5000 are
[1:54]sigh that means a lot of the hadith we have you don't
[1:56]know if they're saying or not that in itself tells you we
[2:00]have a problem and he says I evaluated them meaning he looked
[2:02]at each hadith and he has come up with these six five
[2:07]thousand Hadees so that in itself raises a red flag here something
[2:09]is not right for 40 years every where you're analyzing to Hadees
[2:16]you know that's that that really doesn't make sense because if he
[2:20]is working if he is working on let's say twelve hours a
[2:27]day that means he's working on how many hadiths a day 41
[2:30]divided that by 12 that's like four or five hadith per hour
[2:33]so to go back to our point both Sunnis and Shia I
[2:38]realized that we had a problem there were many many Hadees that
[2:40]were fabricated in fact in fact if we look at the Sunnah
[2:50]hadith upon research we can verify that over 300 thousand hadith s'
[2:55]were fabricated three hundred thousand hadiths were fabricated so that's one point
[3:01]that we're dealing with another point is an appealable manner when you
[3:07]take a hadith and you are conveying it in your own meaning
[3:11]let me give you an example a mother Sabbath II was one
[3:18]of the Companions of an imam sadiq ali is set up he
[3:20]was not that fluent in Arabic one day he went to the
[3:25]Companions of Alabama Sadiq like Muhammad even Muslim and zaraba and he
[3:29]told them something they were shocked he told them I heard that
[3:32]Imam Sadiq saying that the nawafil the sunnah prayers the no i
[3:40]feel are watchable you have to pray them he said no and
[3:42]the monocyte I've never said that he's like no I myself heard
[3:47]him say that so they went to an imam sadiq ali Salah
[3:49]and they told him Oh Imam Ahmad is claiming that you said
[3:56]the sunnah prayers are watch it is that true did you say
[4:03]that the Imam said no he misunderstood me I said something he
[4:06]understood something else they told him what did you tell him the
[4:09]Imam Ali sallam said I was explaining to him that when you
[4:14]praying your faria by your Waja prayers if you're not concentrating on
[4:19]your Salah then your salah may not be accepted if you concentrate
[4:24]in half of your Salah we'll give you half of your Salah
[4:32]if 1/4 1/4 then the Imam tells a modest Abbate but if
[4:36]you pray the sunnah prayers then our filler to camel alpha riba
[4:45]it compensates for any shortcomings you had in the failure but see
[4:49]that's the benefit of Nephila salah to Leila Fadel to learn after
[4:53]little ask if you're wider prayer wasn't the best Allah will use
[4:56]then after that and he will complete the wider prayer for you
[5:01]he'll give you the full reward for it Ahmad he misunderstood the
[5:04]Imam he thought the Imam was telling him the Sunda is now
[5:07]forever see he misunderstood and that's why you had a problem now
[5:14]in this hadith now sometimes this would happen this is one reason
[5:18]why we have at 10 a potful hadith thoughtful hadith why we
[5:22]have a contradiction in the hadith because you had certain narrators who
[5:26]would misunderstood the prophet who would misunderstood the Imams of any debate
[5:33]so this is a concern that we have in our Hadees that
[5:39]is why our scholars do the following in order to make sure
[5:43]that the hadith is a correct hadith first of all we look
[5:48]at the chain the Senate that's very important who's narrating this hadith
[5:52]is it a reliable person is that a concise person or no
[5:55]the Holy Quran says enjoy a confessor upon been a BA in
[6:02]feta Bayon the Quran says if someone is a fasiq it's not
[6:05]trustworthy as sinful is not mindful of God and they bring you
[6:12]news then you have to do research but today a new go
[6:14]and do research you know if someone brings you rumors don't just
[6:19]accept them is this person truthful or not is this person really
[6:21]reliable or not what does this verse in the Quran mean that
[6:27]if a Idol comes see what's the implied meaning if I tell
[6:30]you if a fasiq comes do research before you accept their hadith
[6:33]that means if a just added person who is reliable and trustworthy
[6:39]comes do you accept their Hadi or no yes that's the implied
[6:44]meaning that's them of whom that you accept their hadith if that
[6:47]person is just and reliable so the first thing that a scholar
[6:50]does we look at the chain and the Senate who's narrating this
[6:55]hadith are they reliable or not I go back to the books
[6:58]of nagashi for example who was a scholar and more agile in
[7:02]the science of biographies what does he say about him so-and-so narrator
[7:06]was he reliable was he not reliable as Sheikh Abu see what
[7:09]does he say about him because they were expert in this field
[7:13]so if I find that the Senate the chain of the hadith
[7:18]is solid it's good then I examined the content is the content
[7:22]compatible with the Quran or not is it compatible with other narrations
[7:28]of the island bait or not now for us the followers of
[7:37]elevate sometimes in the books of hadith some people would play with
[7:42]them like Alma Here I am inside an imam al imam or
[7:45]Avari salam he curses and levira inside an imam Assad Allison I'm
[7:51]curses him he says al mahira a Ben say a deaths fe
[7:53]could to be as hob ABI he played around with the books
[8:00]of hadith from My Father al imam and bakr r.a said he
[8:03]would add things he would delete things then later Imams of a
[8:07]debate like an imam or Livadia Muslim they would examine these books
[8:14]of hadith and they would tell the Shia the followers of Anna
[8:18]bait which switch hadith is correct and which is not so we
[8:22]depend on later Imams of any debate to correct our understanding of
[8:27]the hadith the later Imams Avenel bait they would correct our understanding
[8:33]of the hadith if some narrators fabricated hadiths or they misunderstood what
[8:37]an imam sadiq said what Salomon Bakr and Imam of Nevada said
[8:40]I made it known to his companions he would tell them bring
[8:43]me the books of hadith and they would discuss it with Alabama
[8:47]ruler if there was a problem in the hadith an imam or
[8:50]dari Sarah would notify them so a lot of the hadith mushiya
[8:53]school of thought were corrected through later Imams who came and they
[8:58]told the Shia no you know this hadith they misunderstood it this
[9:03]hadith was fabricated and so through the blessings of the later Imams
[9:07]of an debate many many of our hadiths were corrected in history
[9:11][Music] you
