[0:28]muham mean Hassan [Music] what [Music] for the hastening of the reappearance
[2:21]of the master the Savior the Avenger the Imam of the time
[2:24]Al recite aloud muhamed Muhammad [Music] my dear brothers and sisters Allah
[2:42]subhanahu wa taala has said in the very first verse in this
[2:52]blessed Surah we said last night in what was intended to be
[3:15]a crash course on the principle of imama because we live in
[3:22]a time I'll say this parenthetically where our beliefs are being challenged
[3:30]and these challenges in many cases are either not addressed or they're
[3:39]addressed in the wrong way to engage in polemical discourse aggressive discussions
[3:50]where people are shouting over one another where insults and profanities are
[3:58]being hurled towards one another does not serve our cause and it
[4:05]does not further our understanding of the faith and there are many
[4:14]problems with the way this discourse is being carried in our time
[4:19]by people who are largely unqualified people who don't have a solid
[4:27]foundation in their understanding of our our Creed and so the challenges
[4:33]that are posed remain unaddressed and unanswered and this is why it
[4:43]is absolutely pivotal that these discussions are presented in an objective and
[4:48]scholarly manner so that our youth become equipped with the right answers
[4:54]that they are armed with the evidence that led us to our
[5:02]beliefs especially the youth I felt the need to address this question
[5:08]because our youth unfortunately seem to have many other priorities that Trump
[5:19]and supersede our understanding of the faith and this is a tragedy
[5:24]brothers and sisters that our faith has taken a backseat and that
[5:29]these questions and lingering doubts created either by our opponents or by
[5:37]the fact that we are so neglectful of our faith and our
[5:42]Creed they don't seem to have any satisfactory answers in the minds
[5:50]of our young brothers and sisters and so it's important that we
[5:56]discuss these things and as I said last night the question of
[6:02]who must succeed the holy prophet after his departure from this world
[6:07]is the reason why we have had this deep Schism in the
[6:18]Muslim umah where you have people who claim that the holy prophet
[6:22]was succeeded by individuals these individuals as we know historically we acknowledge
[6:29]that they succeeded holy prophet the issue that we have is that
[6:33]they were not appointed by the messenger of Allah and this is
[6:40]something that the other side confesses to they acknowledge the prophet did
[6:45]not appoint them although they try to uh twist and turn and
[6:54]provide justifications and rationalizations as to why they assumed those very critical
[7:01]positions and I said that two of the features that a successor
[7:08]of the holy prophet must possess at a minimum are number one
[7:13]knowledge of the entirety of religion this successor has to possess the
[7:20]same knowledge of the Quran and of the various dimensions of Faith
[7:25]as the holy messenger of Allah because one of of his most
[7:30]important roles is to disseminate this knowledge it is to answer people's
[7:35]questions it is to provide solutions to their problems in particular their
[7:45]problems that pertain to matters of religion the role of the Imam
[7:48]isn't to teach us how to become successful entrepreneurs the role of
[7:54]the Imam isn't to provide guidance as to how we can make
[7:57]more money in one Hadith IM am says that those are issues
[8:06]that you are well equipped to handle on your own you will
[8:09]find a way to make money to earn a living all of
[8:14]those things people because they prioritize them they will not spare any
[8:19]effort in in making sure that those needs are addressed the problem
[8:25]is with matters relating to Faith to beliefs to the fundamental tenants
[8:31]of our faith those are issues and questions and queries and problems
[8:37]that must be addressed by any potential successor of the holy prophet
[8:44]as I mentioned was a prophet for a period of 23 years
[8:58]the time time he spent in the holy city of Mecca in
[9:05]other words the first 13 years of his prophethood was trying to
[9:14]establish the very basic yet important foundation of the faith which is
[9:22]the Unicity of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala the principle ofed there were
[9:32]360 Idols positioned at top the KA the house of the Lord
[9:38]had to not only remove those Idols physically but remove them from
[9:46]the hearts and minds of the meccans and so for the first
[9:52]13 years of the prophets message he was involved with this task
[9:58]to establish the other reason is that rasool was dealing with people
[10:05]who were incredibly stubborn people who were arrogant to the core individuals
[10:12]that were so ignorant that just prior to the prophet hood of
[10:19]the messenger they would bury their own daughters alive out of Shame
[10:25]they committed the most heinous and Grievous acts of Injustice against against
[10:30]their own flesh and blood imagine they would kill their own offspring
[10:37]they committed infanticide they had abandoned every single moral principle they engaged
[10:48]in Acts which were so abhorent so grotesque so disgusting that it
[10:57]took someone like to come be sent by Allah subhah wa ta'ala
[11:01]and to exert every effort in the way of guiding these people
[11:07]back to their upright nature back to the righteous path that leads
[11:14]towards Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and the holy prophet worked so hard
[11:18]that on multiple occasions Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala addresses him in the Holy
[11:24]Quran and says to him are you trying to kill yourself imagine
[11:31]when God has to tell his Prophet to calm down a bit
[11:39]to not keep trying with people who were hopelessly disbelievers they were
[11:49]hopelessly lost God has to re him down and say you've done
[11:52]enough stop are you trying to kill yourself so the first 13
[11:58]years are spent by the holy messenger of Allah dealing with the
[12:03]likes of Abu Jah Abu Abu sufyan and others in order to
[12:12]cleanse this Holy City from the filth of idolatry he didn't have
[12:19]much time to elucidate and elaborate on all aspects of religion then
[12:24]the holy prophet moves to the holy city of Medina and in
[12:30]Medina you think that the holy prophet can relax and allocate more
[12:35]time to explaining God's religion and His holy book to the people
[12:41]and yet the messenger had to fight in more than 50 battles
[12:47]and lead and plan Expeditions just to protect this fledgling new community
[12:55]imagine leading a war the amount of effort that takes any country
[13:02]that experiences a war is completely preoccupied with the war there's not
[13:09]much else you can do the holy prophet had to lead prayers
[13:14]yes he had to fast and respond to questions pertaining to religion
[13:18]yes but when he's mired and completely preoccupied with defending the very
[13:26]community that he's leading against death and destruction ction how much time
[13:31]does he have to elucidate on matters of religion how much and
[13:38]so 23 years pass the holy prophet has to deal with external
[13:45]enemies as well as the Hypocrites who represented internal enemies right from
[13:53]within the nation there were promises that were broken there were pacts
[13:59]that were violated there were acts of treason that were committed and
[14:04]had to put out these fires constantly and so there was most
[14:11]certainly not enough time to respond to every conceivable and potential question
[14:18]that could arise concerning matters of religion right now we have a
[14:26]lot of questions that did not respond to because they were never
[14:31]asked or because the prophet was occupied with all of these issues
[14:38]existential problems which is why the Sunni school has resorted to principles
[14:45]and uh legal loopholes that they refer to ASAS analogy in other
[14:55]words when we don't have an answer as to a particular question
[14:59]question we simply go and refer to another question that was asked
[15:07]and we perform the act of analogy and we apply that rule
[15:14]on this Rule and we know how that's turned out we can
[15:18]now see the destructive consequences of these principles and the imams warned
[15:26]us against this the imams have said to us The Descendants the
[15:30]family the household ofo the ones in whose home Revelation was revealed
[15:35]they set to the likes of you cannot reach your own conclusions
[15:45]and determine certain laws simply by comparing them with other laws you
[15:52]can't do that you are coming up with answers from your own
[16:00]using your own opinion your own View and the story of IM
[16:06]with Abu hanifah is famous when the Imam asked him a few
[16:11]questions and he began to stutter he acknowledged that he had pursued
[16:17]a path that was wrong and erroneous the reason they did that
[16:25]is because in his 23 years simply didn't provide all of the
[16:28]answers a lot of of the verses in the Holy Quran were
[16:34]left vague and ambiguous the holy prophet once again didn't have the
[16:39]chance to elaborate on those ambiguities and to remove the confusion so
[16:44]going back to my original question had to leave someone that would
[16:53]respond to those questions and would address those misconceptions and that person
[16:59]had to have the knowledge of the same knowledge the prophet had
[17:06]to impart it on that successor which is why on numerous occasions
[17:11]has said things like this Hadith I am the city of knowledge
[17:28]had all the answers however for you to access those answers for
[17:35]you to access that knowledge you have to enter through the gate
[17:39]of Al Alani tries to uh diminish the value of this Hadith
[17:49]as he usually does anything that pertains to the virtues [Music] of
[17:58]see seem to have a problem with right they said to Al
[18:06]bukari the one who compiled the famous the most authoritative book of
[18:12]Hadith collection of Hadith in the Sunni religion they said to him
[18:15]why don't you narrate a single Hadith from Imad you narrate from
[18:21]you narrate from people who praised but when it comes to IM
[18:29]not a single Hadith isn't he the descendant of isn't he known
[18:34]by everyone far and wide as a the truthful one doesn't Allah
[18:42]say in the Quran he's The Offspring of the Holy messenger when
[18:53]the Imam spoke often he would say that I heard from my
[18:59]father IM Bak who heard from his father IM sa who heard
[19:00]from his father IM Hussein who heard from his father who heard
[19:06]from which is why says if you wish to attain the religion
[19:38]of God abandon leave the likes of sha and Malik and and
[19:42]meaning Abu hanif don't listen to them instead listen to people who
[19:47]say that we narrate from our grandfather who narrates from jbra who
[19:51]narrates from God directly so they say to bukari why didn't you
[19:58]narrate a single Hadith from he said there's something in my heart
[20:07]against IM and we know what that is what could it possibly
[20:14]be that exists in your heart and prevents you from from taking
[20:20]from Al Muhammad Allah subhana wa ta'ala says in the Holy Quran
[20:28]there's a disease in their heart how else does the nusb meaning
[20:34]open animosity towards the bit present itself this is how it presents
[20:41]itself either you kill the bit or their followers or you say
[20:44]there is something in my heart against him but you can narrate
[20:47]from people who praise mul anyway that's the tragedy of Islam my
[20:53]point is that the they possess knowledge of the Holy Quran I
[21:01]mentioned that I T dismisses the Hadith I am the city of
[21:06]knowledge and Ali is its gate he says this doesn't make any
[21:09]sense why what do you say oh what's your problem with this
[21:18]Hadith he makes a critical acknowledgement he says because we know that
[21:23]every city back in the day in ancient times cities would have
[21:27]a fortress a wall around them to protect the city from enemies
[21:33]that might attack and that every city has only one gate he
[21:40]says if is the exclusive conduit to the knowledge of he is
[21:44]the only gate to the city of the prophet's knowledge where does
[21:50]that leave all of the other companions this doesn't make any sense
[21:54]it doesn't add up Ali can't be the only one what are
[21:58]we going to do with 1 2 3 what are we going
[22:01]to do with this wife or that wife we have a problem
[22:05]on our hands Subhan Allah he makes this acknowledgement that cities only
[22:10]had one gate which is what is saying he's saying there's only
[22:13]one way you can reach my knowledge and that is through so
[22:20]the first feature that a successor has to have is knowledge of
[22:25]the entirety of the Holy Quran the the the the where the
[22:33]verse was revealed about what subject matter was it revealed all of
[22:38]these things the Imam has to possess them now how do you
[22:41]determine the extent of someone's knowledge how can you identify the one
[22:48]who is most knowledgeable your knowledge has to be equal to that
[22:56]person or Superior right I as someone who is not a professional
[23:01]in the medical field how can I conceivably tell you who the
[23:08]best medical practitioner who the best heart surgeon is in this country
[23:11]and if I did make such a claim you would say well
[23:15]how do you know that's not your job that's not your field
[23:18]of expertise how do you know I have to be equal in
[23:25]knowledge to that individual or Superior to him in order to Define
[23:28]the extent of that person's knowledge which means there's no one on
[23:33]the face of the Earth who can say who the most knowledgeable
[23:39]person is after no one can do that the only one who
[23:42]can do it is God himself Allah subhah wa ta'ala chooses the
[23:47]successor that's why we say that choosing the successor of the Prophet
[23:55]is within the domain of none other than Allah is simply a
[24:01]messenger in this regard tells the people the prophet is conveying the
[24:15]message from Allah subhanahu waala oh messenger convey to the people that
[24:27]which has been revealed to you and if you choose not to
[24:34]do that for whatever reason then you have failed in your mission
[24:38]as a prophet Allah has to choose that person and we said
[24:44]that the other attribute that a successor of the Prophet has to
[24:49]possess is infallibility if he makes a mistake if he SS if
[24:55]he conveys the wrong message either because of his desires or Temptations
[25:00]or biases or prejudices or whatever it may be or because he's
[25:03]forgetful or because he doesn't remember or makes a mistake in his
[25:13]conclusions whatever the case may be then the knowledge that he imparts
[25:18]onto the people becomes erroneous and people will Veer off the path
[25:23]of Allah subhana waala the straight path and so he has to
[25:28]be infallible now Allah subhanahu waala says in the verse that I
[25:33]recited the very first verse of what does this mean it means
[25:45]oh you who believe do not proceed before Allah and his messenger
[25:51]meaning don't do anything in any matter it's a general statement that
[25:59]Allah and his messenger have not done or instructed you to do
[26:06]don't do anything that didn't do now the other side if we
[26:16]ask them did appoint a successor for himself the general response you
[26:25]will get from the vast majority of them perhaps all of them
[26:29]is thato did not appoint a successor here's another question was he
[26:35]supposed to appoint a successor in order to remove the ambiguities in
[26:43]order to respond to all of the questions that will come from
[26:46]the time of the prophet's death all the way to the day
[26:51]of Resurrection should he have appointed someone or no if you say
[26:59]rasool should not have appointed someone in other words this matter is
[27:07]so negligible it is so trivial that shouldn't have done it and
[27:13]he didn't this means that the holy prophet of God was neglectful
[27:18]of the most important the single most pivotal and significant matter after
[27:24]his death he left zero instructions as to who should lead after
[27:29]him he left no guidance as to who should take his position
[27:36]and respond to all of the queries and questions that people will
[27:39]have and provide solutions to their problems that's number one number two
[27:47]if didn't appoint someone and from that it follows that he should
[27:52]not have appointed someone that's why he didn't do it because if
[27:57]you say he should have then has committed a grave sin he
[28:02]should have done something but he didn't he simply put his head
[28:04]on the ground and went into his deep Slumber but he should
[28:10]have provided guidance he should have appointed someone he should have taught
[28:16]us what to do if you say that then you're accusing God
[28:20]forbid of failing to carry out something that is so important but
[28:25]didn't do so for whatever reason but if you choose to say
[28:31]that no this is not an important matter didn't have to give
[28:36]us any guidance on this issue here's our question to you then
[28:41]why did the first khif appoint the second khif after him doesn't
[28:46]God say in the Quran do not proceed before rasool Allah meaning
[28:55]do not do anything that rasool Allah didn't do why is it
[29:00]that when Abu Bakr was on his deathbed he summoned he said
[29:05]to him take a pen and a piece of goat skin and
[29:10]write the following this is a letter this is the will of
[29:22]the successor ofo Abu Bakr then he passed out he fell unconscious
[29:30]man continued to write the will he said I instruct you to
[29:39]follow and to uh obey my successor then Abu Bakr regained Consciousness
[29:44]he said toan what did you do he said well when you
[29:48]fell unconscious I thought that you weren't going to wake up from
[29:51]this anymore you were going to die so I completed your will
[29:53]for you he said what did you write he said I wrote
[29:57]that people should follow he should be the next successor Abu Bakr
[30:01]said good that's what I wanted you to write perfect that's exactly
[30:07]how I would have wanted it now take this letter go to
[30:11]the Masjid summon everyone and declare to them my will and my
[30:16]instructions that my successor is question if you say did not appoint
[30:26]a successor because he didn't have to because this matter is is
[30:30]not pivotal it's not important whatever reason you might provide why did
[30:35]you do it Allah says don't proceed before the messenger don't do
[30:41]something the messenger didn't do why did you do it Subhan Allah
[30:49]the double standards the irony is staggering they have no answer to
[30:57]this question and I challenge anyone here or listening to this or
[31:04]watching this to please go out and ask whoever you want ask
[31:11]in so-called Saudi Arabia ask the scholars in Egypt ask the scholars
[31:18]in Syria ask the scholars in Morocco ask whoever you want on
[31:22]the face of this planet to give you a satisfactory answer to
[31:25]this question if you bring me a reason that is satisfactory that
[31:31]is convincing I will come back here tomorrow night and I will
[31:36]mention it and say I'm sorry I made a mistake here's a
[31:38]justification that is so solid that we have no answer to I'll
[31:44]be the first to acknowledge but they have no answer they will
[31:49]say that left no instructions but Abu Bakr felt that this is
[31:56]a sensitive position om later on also felt Subhan Allah they knew
[32:03]more than they had more knowledge of the holy prophet right they
[32:08]understood the significance of the office of khif and so they had
[32:12]to appoint someone they couldn't possibly have chaos reign supreme they couldn't
[32:19]just leave this matter to the umah let's say that you were
[32:23]appointed by a council a group representing the Muslim in they all
[32:32]gave you their Pledge of Allegiance let's give you that for argument
[32:36]sake even though that's not what happened even though the event of
[32:40]sakif was an absolute faral episode in chaos it was people threatening
[32:50]each other it was people punching each other literally Omar says it
[32:53]Inari and there were people who got killed eventually like he was
[33:01]killed because he challenged Theif then they blamed the Jin they wrote
[33:05]left an inscription on on the door of saying we the Jin
[33:20]killed him right which is an absolute joke there was a fight
[33:27]there was a quar but let's give you this for argument sake
[33:31]that it was the most peaceful democratic election that took place between
[33:36]the people who had gathered at well why don't you leave the
[33:43]matter when you're about to die to a council akin to S
[33:47]why appoint Omar by name again I'm not insulting the other side
[33:54]I'm not using vulgar profanities this is a constructive dialogue please help
[34:00]us out give us answers if you feel that we're ignorant give
[34:04]us something that helps us understand exactly what happened and why it
[34:08]happened the way it did I'm being respectful in the utmost possible
[34:14]fashion and I'm asking these questions from a position of love from
[34:20]from a place of respect so this is our question to the
[34:28]Sunni Community but I also have a question to the Shia Community
[34:33]why do I say this because it's easy to criticize our opponents
[34:40]not only is it easy because the truth is Manifest and it's
[34:45]clear and there are some major unanswered questions that they simply don't
[34:50]have the capacity to respond to so it's an easy task and
[34:53]because it's easy it makes us feel good about ourselves doesn't it
[34:57]that's why discussions relating to Shia Sunni Discord are popular they're controversial
[35:08]they get you the views the likes the hits right and it
[35:14]makes us feel that we're Superior I'm not saying that everyone who
[35:18]engages in this kind of discourse is doing it so that they
[35:24]become popular so that they become a trendy sort of you know
[35:27]individual ual but many many times we have observed individuals who engage
[35:33]in this because it is trendy because it is interesting and controversial
[35:41]because it gets you the Hits and The Views and the reason
[35:43]it gets you the views is because most Shia want to feel
[35:49]good about themselves like yeah go for it give them another punch
[35:51]give him a knockout blow because we're better we're Shia the other
[35:57]side they don't know anything and this is why I want to
[36:02]ask an uncomfortable question my dear brothers and sisters do bear with
[36:04]me do humor me let's ask a few uncomfortable inconvenient questions if
[36:14]Allah subhah waala says do not proceed before the messenger before Allah
[36:27]subhana wa tala and his messenger do not do anything that they
[36:30]didn't do you should follow the lead of the question now that
[36:37]has to be posed is this which part of our lives do
[36:44]we follow the lead of in please help me out show me
[36:50]one area one aspect one dimension in our lives where we follow
[36:55]the lead of and don't take a single step ahead of him
[37:01]are our weddings things in which we follow the lead of in
[37:11]do we the marriage and wedding rituals do we follow the lead
[37:17]of rasol Allah in there when it comes to the dowy r
[37:24]got married to Lady Khadijah one of the greatest women in all
[37:29]of history and his dowy was 500 silver coins which is the
[37:33]equivalent of about a,2 $300 today you can do the math do
[37:43]we follow in that aspect every single member of the members the
[37:51]family of also got married with Mah someone was telling me just
[37:57]last night that I proposed to a girl the said her Dow
[38:02]is $50,000 he said I told them but he said I told
[38:06]them but the prophet says the best women in my nation are
[38:14]the ones with the least dowy their response was 50,000 is already
[38:18]too low who marries their daughter for $50,000 and I'm sure they're
[38:25]right I'm sure that 50,000 is nothing in this day and age
[38:28]people will ask for 100,000 200,000 I know somebody who showed up
[38:36]to someone's wedding to uh ratify and recite the contract and he
[38:40]said that um I went to the bride's family I spoke to
[38:45]them I said what's the bride's name do you have any conditions
[38:47]what's the dowy so they wrote down the dowy I went to
[38:53]the poor groom I said to him brother your Dow is $300,000
[38:55]he said 300 what he said I thought we agreed on 30,000
[39:00]what's that extra zero in there he said don't you think you
[39:06]should settle this before we actually read the contract and you're bound
[39:09]by it so he went back to the bride's family he said
[39:12]come on guys we agreed on 30,000 they said no$ 300,000 $300,000
[39:20]and then we wonder why our youth are not getting married we
[39:25]wonder why the young men are left wondering is there a girl
[39:31]and then looking overseas a lot of Youth are telling me that
[39:35]we're looking overseas and I'm like isn't 50% of the population female
[39:42]in this country or or do we have like 40 million sheep
[39:44]here and no women no girls what's going on the reason is
[39:50]that the young men are trying at least some of them may
[39:53]Allah bless them and I know this is true of some of
[39:57]our sisters as well there's no doubt I'm not saying that only
[40:00]the guys are good the girls are all over the place no
[40:04]I'm sure there are girls as well who say that I want
[40:08]to marry in a fashion that satisfies I don't want to come
[40:12]up with my own [Applause] rules don't proceed before don't do anything
[40:21]didn't do but they're already looking for potential spouses overseas they've completely
[40:28]given up on this country and when you go overseas it's the
[40:32]same story they think that overseas there are better girls better families
[40:37]who don't stipulate all of these unbearable conditions but it's the same
[40:42]wherever you go the way we conduct our marriages and our weddings
[40:51]do they satisfy do they Delight the heart of again someone was
[40:58]telling me that my future mother-in-law when we were discussing these things
[41:03]she said that I want you to dance in my daughter's wedding
[41:07]I said what are you talking about you want me to dance
[41:13]for exactly why what's the point and so she said look it's
[41:16]only one night I'm sure you've heard this before it's only one
[41:21]night let's get a DJ in there it's only one night let's
[41:23]mix the men and the women with 17 layers of makeup let's
[41:29]do it's only one night I said Subhan Allah if many of
[41:35]us were alive at the time of the prophet's death we would
[41:39]also join the sakif I mean it's only one day everybody's doing
[41:44]it everybody gave their Pledge of Allegiance what's the big deal it's
[41:48]one day sakif was one day as was one day the Battle
[41:54]of jaml was one day where do you stand are you going
[41:57]to follow others like a sheep that's running behind its flock or
[42:04]are you going to ask yourself the pivotal question what does want
[42:11]from me what does my religion want from me which part of
[42:16]our faith has remained intact which please tell me had the women
[42:22]in his family wear a full hijab where their outline of their
[42:30]body wouldn't show is that the kind of hijab that we follow
[42:38]assigned certain tasks to the women in his life and the women
[42:45]in his Nation he said to F the Mistress of the women
[42:51]of the world fa whose knowledge could singlehandedly build the greatest civilization
[42:57]he said to fa your perview your Turf ends at the doorstep
[43:06]of your house this is your responsibility and Ali's Turf begins from
[43:12]the doorstep of the house all the way outside we could sit
[43:17]there and argue and say oh the times have changed people are
[43:19]different now they have different expectations again which of these two do
[43:27]you want to follow people or orol do we ask this pivotal
[43:36]question every time we take a step what would want from me
[43:40]what would want from me what would want from me am I
[43:45]taking the step in the right direction that gets me closer to
[43:47]them or away from them because if it's if it doesn't get
[43:51]me closer to them it's getting me away from them a man
[44:03]I'll mention this Hadith and then this story IM says and this
[44:09]Hadith is mentioned in the introduction to the Blessed book of Ali
[44:13]he says if your standard if your benchmark is other people those
[44:24]in society and their expectations and their if you follow other people
[44:30]those same people will take you out of religion the same way
[44:36]they allowed you to enter religion if they are your standard whoever
[44:43]takes his religion from the book of Allah and the tradition the
[44:46]example of the mountains will be removed and destroyed but your fa
[44:59]faith will remain intact because you have a solid backing you have
[45:04]the backing of the Holy Quran and the traditions of the if
[45:10]has done something we should try to emulate what he did Allah
[45:17]subhana T says to us Allah has given you a good moral
[45:26]example and the holy messenger of God follow his lead and you
[45:34]won't go astray your life will be blessed reduce your Mah all
[45:37]the way down to Mah and your marriage will be blessed you
[45:44]think you'll be happy if you demanded an exorbitant amount for your
[45:47]Dowry you think money will make you happy you think money will
[45:50]give you a better husband who looks after you and cherishes you
[45:54]if you really think that then I'm sorry I don't know who
[46:02]I'm talking to if you think that money is your insurance policy
[46:05]that if things didn't work out you can then take that dowy
[46:12]and build a business buy a little house for yourself if that's
[46:15]what you think then you're surely mistaken if your husband is not
[46:23]going to be a good husband to you he will be a
[46:24]terrible spouse even even if your dowy is a billion dollars follow
[46:31]the lead of rasool and you'll be safe you'll be happy so
[46:36]listen to this rasool was seated with a group of his companions
[46:41]there was Salman Abu Amar al- mad and there was another companion
[46:48]that some have said he was a good man in the beginning
[46:54]he was sitting there they brought some food for the holy prophet
[47:00]it was a very well-cooked piece of meat they put it in
[47:08]front of them rasol Allah invited these companions he said let's eat
[47:12]just before they started eating rasool had something to do so he
[47:17]got up and left this companion extended his hand to take from
[47:24]that meat and put it in his mouth said to him don't
[47:32]stop he said why he said let be the first to take
[47:38]a bite that man disrespected Amir he said to him this was
[47:42]a gift that they brought to and you're being stingy said I'm
[47:51]not being stingy I'm just saying that out of respect to we
[47:56]should wait for him to to come take the first bite then
[48:00]we can eat the man didn't listen to the Imam he took
[48:05]a bite put it in his mouth in the meantime came back
[48:08]as soon as the prophet came back that man had swallowed that
[48:13]meat suddenly he developed this excruciating pain in his stomach he began
[48:21]to twist and turn Allah said what happened they said he took
[48:25]a bite from the food and now he's very sick the holy
[48:30]prophet said the meat is speaking to me and it's telling me
[48:35]that I am poisoned don't eat the meat had been given to
[48:41]the holy messenger after the battle of K by someone who wanted
[48:45]to assassinate that man continued to twist and turn in his pain
[48:56]until he died sat there he said say with me and then
[49:05]you can start eating from the same meat in other words the
[49:09]hand of as soon as it touched the meat the poison was
[49:12]gone everyone was able to eat that man died then they came
[49:17]to the holy prophet they said to him Yol Allah he's passed
[49:20]away would you come and perform upon him the prophet said I
[49:24]won't do that they said why he said because he insulted Al
[49:31]when he told him that you're being stingy they told him yeah
[49:37]Allah he didn't mean to insult the Imam he might have been
[49:40]joking or whatever Allah said had he been genuinely trying to insult
[49:45]Ali he would have been a c maybe he was joking I'm
[49:53]giving him the benefit of the doubt but because of that I
[49:55]will not perform Sal one of you can do that oh but
[50:14]people's expectations in this day and age people's expectations people's moral standards
[50:20]are being degraded and regressing every single moment we're seeing the path
[50:30]and the trajectory that people are taking who cares what other people
[50:34]say oh you had a very simple wedding you didn't have a
[50:37]DJ playing music you didn't mix the men and the women you're
[50:44]backwards you're an extremist who cares what they say who cares was
[50:54]the subject of mockery and ridicule he was alien iated he was
[50:58]abandoned but he did he care the Imam never cared about what
[51:06]other people told him so much so that he was abandoned completely
[51:12]one day came to see started crying he said to heran why
[51:21]do you cry you're breaking my heart she said I'm crying for
[51:27]your l loneliness after me it'll get to the point when you
[51:33]say Salam to people and they won't respond to you was left
[51:39]all alone but did he care what other people thought of him
[51:44]did he care about the opinions of other people who are deviants
[51:47]no the only thing that matters is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala being
[51:53]pleased with him nothing else our brothers my dear brothers and sisters
[52:00]as we approach the nights of Destiny tomorrow is a very special
[52:06]night according to those who follow marajah who believe in the single
[52:12]Horizon tonight is the eve of the 19th of the holy month
[52:14]of Ramadan these are very special nights we should ask ourselves this
[52:19]question constantly what would want from me what would want from me
[52:27]what would the IM of the time want from me let's not
[52:33]break the heart of the Imam of our time with our actions
[52:36]with our wrap sheet when they are presented to him on the
[52:43]eve of let's not make him cry According to some narrations the
[52:46]Imam looks at my deeds and he starts crying why because he
[52:53]feels you're better than this you're one of my followers you're someone
[52:58]who knows me why did you do this why would you commit
[53:01]this act why would you Veer off from my path and the
[53:06]path of my ancestors the Imam of our time my dear brothers
[53:13]and sisters already has much to cry about isn't he the one
[53:17]who says oh my grandfather yah Hussein if I have been separated
[53:34]from you and not been allowed to be there on the day
[53:40]of to defend you now that I have not been able to
[53:57]be with you I will remember your tragedy every morning and every
[54:25]night these nights are associated with you I will cry for you
[54:45]such that instead of Tears There Will Be Blood coming out of
[54:50]my [Music] eyes the IM says this in I will cry for
[55:15]you out of eagerness for your tragedy out of Sorrow for what
[55:22]befell you the IM then says something that is truly heartbreaking he
[55:35]says until I cry and cry until I die out of Sorrow
[55:45]for you
