[3:22]okay [Music] muhammad [Music] [Music] raise your hands and recite a prayer
[5:09]but is him is the might allah all day and all night
[5:18]make me one of the shia of ali i [Music] [Applause] [Music]
[6:44]foreign [Music] alone if no one's here to mourn you with me
[7:12]i'm more new alone the broken rib and your burning hole even
[7:18]your grave had to remain unknown how did the door to heaven
[7:29]fall victim unto the flames how did they look at you with
[7:39]no shame how did they dare to call out your name [Music]
[7:43]so behind allah when i recall the door the nail that caused
[7:51]their feet is to abort so behind allah when i recall the
[8:01]door the nail that caused their feet is to abort so behind
[8:06]allah in my grief and my pain subana [Music] foreign [Music] after
[8:39]your death the water from the hustle turned red from the wounds
[8:47]of which you had not said just like it will be for
[9:01]none could bear what was said into the well this sorrow was
[9:11]ingrained into his heart so we mourn and call out [Music] [Music]
[9:39]in the corner weeping when you saw the broken ribs how will
[9:48]you tell your children this how will you stand up again and
[10:02]pray did you bury her in my dinner's plans did you bury
[10:12]her on medina's planes did you bury her being [Music] who [Music]
[11:27]first [Applause] [Music] me [Laughter] [Laughter] muhammad foreign [Laughter] foreign [Applause] [Laughter]
[14:13]which is presently known as medina one of the tasks which he
[14:22]took initially was the construction of masjidun navari and as this task
[14:28]was being fulfilled the death of one of the companions of the
[14:32]prophet who was in ansar one of those ansar are one of
[14:36]those who are the helpers who welcome the prophet and the muslims
[14:39]to come to yeshiva or to madina the companion by the name
[14:45]of assad bin zurara passed away so there was need now to
[14:50]find a burial place and make arrangements for his funeral so the
[14:55]prophet sallallahu alaihi will sallam identified a sport which at that time
[15:03]was a sport full of which is what would say in something
[15:11]like cactus trees tony box like plants all right rough desert type
[15:15]of trees as such and that area was known as the bhakti
[15:19]alavarka that is the land of which is that arabic word for
[15:24]those thorny cactus life growing over there thereafter after a few years
[15:40]i think it was around in the three years after hijra where
[15:43]we had another campaign of the prophet who this time who was
[15:49]a muhajir muhajir those who migrated from makkah to come to settle
[15:53]in madina the he passed away and again the prophet arranged for
[16:02]the grave to be dug in this and this person was buried
[16:08]over there within a few days or a short while now the
[16:12]holy prophet's son who was a son from his wife maria maria
[16:17]of the coptic origin from egypt she delivered a son a male
[16:23]issue towards the prophet and this son by the name of ibrahim
[16:25]died in his infancy so again the prophet now arranged for this
[16:30]son of ibrahim to be buried within that and since that time
[16:37]that place came to be known as which would mean as a
[16:42]symmetry of the bhakti and respectfully we call it as jannatul which
[16:48]is one of the gardens of heaven by the name of bakri
[16:52]so this is basically how the prophet when he arrived in madina
[16:57]the first task at the construction of masjid navari there were these
[17:01]casualties of death and this is where the sport was identified and
[17:06]it becomes very clear that this was done by none other than
[17:11]the prophet himself and where he will know that the prophet does
[17:13]not do anything or speak anything or does not perform any action
[17:17]except by the way by the instructions of allah this day today
[17:24]the eighth of shawwal is an occasion for which we have gathered
[17:28]to be able to remember and recall of a very horrendous and
[17:34]awful event which took place some 97 years ago in the history
[17:40]on the 21st of april in the year 1925 on the 8th
[17:50]of a day like today in the year 1345 after hijra so
[17:53]it comes to around 97 or 98 years is when this awful
[17:59]event took place what is that event the event which we call
[18:04]is yo mulhozen or yawmul ram which translates as the day of
[18:08]saul and why is it a day of sorrow it is a
[18:11]day of sorrow for it is the day went under the advice
[18:15]of the first king of the monarchy which was set up in
[18:18]saudi arabia the king known as abdul aziz bin sarud ordered for
[18:26]the mukbara alberti that is the symmetry of aki to be destroyed
[18:31]with the structures being dynamited or warmed and boulders has been brought
[18:35]about to actually create sacrilegious harm to the structures over there as
[18:45]such and thereafter in the same year he ordered the similar action
[18:50]of destruction to be done in jannatul which is another graveyard which
[18:55]is in makkah so we see that since that time the ruling
[19:00]dynasty starting off with the action of the finding key founder king
[19:04]abdul aziz been sawed down all the way this dynasty has maintained
[19:10]its evil practice of raising down any structures built upon graves sacred
[19:16]shrines and not only that he went creating a lot of restrictions
[19:22]and a lot of what we say blocks for people to be
[19:24]able to go and perform visitation of the grave or what we
[19:30]would say as the ziara so this is an occasion for us
[19:35]to recall that incident the destruction of these sacred shrines of the
[19:40]personalities in jannatul medina and genetal in now the question comes about
[19:47]was it only done in 1925 the event which you're talking about
[19:53]was it only the first time it was done the answer to
[19:57]that is no not at all rather we see in his in
[20:01]historical records that the tribe of them this is the tribe from
[20:09]which this ali saw the dynasty of saud is originating from this
[20:14]tribe originally they were what we would say is pirates the robbers
[20:19]at sea likewise these were the robots or raiders on length they
[20:26]were bedridden and their income was derived from land pirates the raiders
[20:31]are taking care of ones keeping killing people having no respect for
[20:37]the women and this is how they would continue with their life
[20:41]so these tribe of ali from the nudge the tribe all right
[20:49]these were the people who were following the teachings of a scholar
[20:52]who today they call as shameful islam a grand title means the
[20:58]great sheikh of islam that sheikh by the name of muhammad bin
[21:01]abdul wahab who had declared himself in that time as a mujati
[21:09]as a reformer of one who is going to cleanse islam from
[21:14]vida bidra is innovations practices which have not been mandated or brought
[21:22]about by allah but muslims are practicing that and consider everything which
[21:27]is not part of the teaching of islam to be with us
[21:34]in innovation so he wanted to purify all bitter practices as such
[21:37]now in passing by is an interesting point i would like you
[21:40]to just connect the dots with colonialism spreading imperialism especially of great
[21:51]britain spreading to these lands of saudi arabia what is known as
[21:55]saudi arabia which we will call as jazeera historical times it was
[22:01]known as the arabian peninsula who were the rulers at that time
[22:06]at that time it was the ottoman dynasty ottoman dynasty was one
[22:10]which succeeded after the banumaya dynasty after the banu abbasi dynasty and
[22:16]thereafter the ottoman dynasty whatever be their teachings for example that they
[22:23]were the same of the actual media but politically it is to
[22:27]be accepted and historically it has been accepted that they were ruling
[22:31]in the name of islam and the dominion of islam the land
[22:37]of islam was widely spread with the ottoman khalid being the sultan
[22:41]for all the land all the way to malaysia indonesia all right
[22:44]and the lands which we know today is the majority dominated muslims
[22:49]as such so i want you to connect the doors all right
[22:51]that to be able to do away with a powerful superpower in
[22:58]imported commas of that time which was the power of the muslims
[23:03]the ottoman dynasty all right and for the great britain to be
[23:11]able to rule over those lands they had to bring about strategies
[23:14]all right and as we know one of the greatest strategy is
[23:19]divide and rule and the easiest way of being able to divide
[23:23]the people is utilize religion is a good force to be able
[23:30]to create division and this is how muhammad bin abdul wahab was
[23:34]promoted so this is just an interesting side point i want you
[23:36]to remember this don't just take is an isolated incident of destroying
[23:40]genitals all right so the question is this was not the first
[23:44]time as i said not connect the notes so what happened historical
[23:50]evidence shows to us that in the first plunder was done in
[23:55]1218 in makkah all right and thereafter the second plunder was done
[24:00]three years later in 1221 in madina this time much more severely
[24:06]where they rain set the house remember what is that behavior tradition
[24:09]they are named pirates raiders robbers and robbers do anything to get
[24:14]their meat they not only burns the houses in madina they reinsect
[24:17]the houses they violated the sanctity of the women all right and
[24:25]the iran went to jannatul and the eu one again carried out
[24:30]the destruction of the sacred side of china probably they did not
[24:34]have the gunfire which they had in 1925 but they carried out
[24:36]in 1221 a similar thing and this is very violent at that
[24:40]time all right and then what happens now you can imagine there
[24:44]is destabilization being created in the ottoman caliphates all right and as
[24:49]we know the mantra today is regime change or government change the
[24:53]so-called superpower of today when it does not get what it desires
[25:01]to wage as per its policy it sponsors people in a country
[25:05]to bring about unrest all right so you can imagine the ottoman
[25:08]dynasty now there is rebellion taking place where in the very sacred
[25:13]places of makkah and madina all right so there is rebellion and
[25:18]who is leading this rebellion the dynasty or the king of the
[25:21]las vegas dynasty following the teachings of muhammad bin abdullah remember connect
[25:25]those thoughts which are mentioned to you religion being used this was
[25:28]the second time that after the second time the ottoman dynasty again
[25:34]to reaffirm their control and stronghold over these two what do you
[25:39]say center points of historical heritage for islam they lavishly restored the
[25:46]situation in makkah and madina all right and the ottoman artichoke was
[25:53]all present until very recently when these what they say renovations were
[25:57]carried out in masjid haram and even those all the ottoman architecture
[26:04]it must even be they've all been destroyed unfortunately all right so
[26:08]this was the second time the third time this was done oh
[26:12]sorry i told you the third time this was done in 1924
[26:14]after the third time restoration by the ottoman sultanate the fourth time
[26:20]is what we are talking about is in 1925 which is a
[26:24]day like today and was that the last time no and it
[26:28]has been continuing till today as i mentioned to you how muslin
[26:32]today for those who have gone for hajj for example 20 years
[26:37]30 years before i myself have witnessed the first time and i
[26:40]went for hajj i saw masjid-haram differently alhamdulillah the ottoman historical heritage
[26:46]when i went for the second time i saw things have already
[26:49]changed and those who go now you know when i look at
[26:54]the videos now you know we have these live cameras and so
[26:56]on i see things are very different you think that these are
[27:01]mobile policies which have just come today all right we can't link
[27:04]to see these are historical signs so the destruction is continuing till
[27:08]today under the religious following of and under the religion under the
[27:14]so-called so what do you say kingdoms motto of modernization according to
[27:20]an article in the times magazine which was published in 1985 i
[27:27]remember reading it at that time the research was saying that this
[27:32]is 1985 98 of the kingdom's historical and religious sides have been
[27:40]destroyed how many 98 percent so today we are in 2022.
[27:46]that was 1985 the article the study we just get 1985 so
[27:53]2022 you can imagine so those two percent what will be left
[27:57]muhammad for this remind ourselves why are we talking about who are
[28:07]the people who are buried with them there are some very eminent
[28:13]sacred personalities so a quick list from the babe making it very
[28:29]clear that there is variation of the actual side of the burial
[28:36]of this sacred venerable personality but that is the site which we
[28:43]regularly go for performing ciara we know that islam has kept the
[28:46]secret different sides have been identified but this is the site where
[28:49]you go to perform ziyarah the other person is our second imam
[28:54]our fourth imam our fifth and sixth imam is the only lady
[29:11]in history the mother of amir al-mu'min the only lady who stepped
[29:16]into the kaaba the only lady for whom the world of the
[29:20]kaaba party all right so if you can imagine that miracle for
[29:23]some of giving birth of nabi visa but she did not get
[29:29]that owner to enter a sacred place to give her birth but
[29:33]here say the fatimi assad the only lady not only giving that
[29:40]birth in the kaaba but the miracle of the wall of the
[29:43]kaaba separated out miracle of living inside the kaaba all right must
[29:47]not be easy without any provisions the miracle and the miracle of
[29:53]the wall reopening by the name of safiyyah the name of allah
[30:09]we have the wives of the prophet except for the khadija who
[30:14]is married in jannatul the graveyard which is said in matka all
[30:17]right we also have remember the son of the prophet ibrahim buried
[30:21]over there we have companions of the prophet we said the first
[30:28]ansar asad the first muhajir usman we have the brother of imam
[30:34]ali and cursing to the prophet we have we talked about the
[30:42]status of hebrew who is known as the ink of the ummah
[30:46]he is also the uncle to the prophet and uncle to imam
[30:49]ali we have abdullah one of the leading ladies in the tragedy
[31:11]of the carowind from karbala all the way on all right so
[31:16]the husband abdullah bin jaffa is buried and let's not forget in
[31:20]this chanatal bhakti there it was a sport which is known as
[31:23]the house of sorrow which moldova benin according to historical narrations had
[31:28]built a shade where during the daytime would move from her home
[31:39]in mourning to go out and sit in that shed and they
[31:43]would say that you become so hot initially that you know the
[31:47]skin the the sun heart of the desert would score the skin
[31:49]and we didn't mean that was it that was present that spot
[31:55]structure but it is unfortunately uh lost now being able to find
[32:02]him so we talk about the personalities we mentioned about uh the
[32:09]grandfather of the prophet who is the uncle of the prophet who
[32:16]is the muslim of islam a great benefactor of islam and the
[32:19]arab the sinner of islam the queen of the arab the great
[32:25]lady benefactor of islam um these are some structures or personalities remember
[32:45]the battle which took place after the hijra all right which was
[32:49]a great defeat for the muslims but the prophet cried because in
[32:53]that battle he lost assado and the prophet was so great that
[33:09]he cried when he returned from uh he returned to madina and
[33:14]he really cried and he ordered for the women to led by
[33:18]say the father to go to the house of hazard hamsa to
[33:20]give their condolences and to ensure that there will be no fire
[33:25]being born to cook food and provide food for three days and
[33:30]this is a practice which is there in islam all right not
[33:34]to go to the homes of the military and eat rather we
[33:35]should take food and provide to them what in our cultural language
[33:38]says am i right three days you would go to the homes
[33:42]prepare food and the person who has believed not for us to
[33:47]go and eat and ask them to cook for us no we
[33:50]cook food sit with them condole them and give them the strength
[33:54]and support so that they eat the food which we have taken
[33:58]in siako but we have brought this practice now due to convenience
[34:02]into the mosque all right so we have these practices being done
[34:04]the most after burial with the family to sit and eat with
[34:08]them so don't forget uh and don't forget also other places where
[34:12]i mentioned to you just simply that 98 of the kingdoms historical
[34:18]and religious sites have been destroyed since 1895 so can you imagine
[34:22]so many so many so many sacred places have been destroyed so
[34:32]remind ourselves why is this destruction taken place one point i ask
[34:37]you to think is connect those thoughts the powers at that time
[34:43]utilize this to destabilize the ottoman dynasty all right but the effect
[34:48]the greater effect is that the stooges and the puppets who carried
[34:52]out this they utilized it as a religious khan to establish themselves
[34:57]in the land over there and slowly and slowly the kingdom of
[35:01]saudi arabia was established and those who betrayed the ottoman caliphates it's
[35:08]very interesting history all right the person who was known as sheriff
[35:11]hussain he betrayed the ultimate caliphate he was promised by the kingdom
[35:16]of the great britain at that time that he would remain a
[35:19]king but he was not made a king rather he was sent
[35:22]away to trans children which today is the area of jordan and
[35:25]established the king over there and we can see all right this
[35:33]is interesting for us to really know so one one point the
[35:37]reason for this destruction connect the dots destabilization establishment of a dominant
[35:42]colonial power the second thing which greatly affects us is utilization of
[35:47]the religious card the wahhabi ideology that everything which is bid uh
[35:52]and they considered building of structures on the graves to be with
[35:55]uh they considered the visitation the ziara is misguidance and every misguidance
[36:15]is definitely to end up in hell and one of the teachings
[36:18]is that all those who perform bid they are considered to be
[36:25]kafir and his the ideology upon which the isis the taliban and
[36:37]al qaeda until today are 12 upon all right so whereas the
[36:42]prophet respected the people of other faiths remember they were allowed to
[36:46]come to the mosque but there was so much great intolerance you
[36:51]know you can just imagine that within the muslim community whoever did
[36:55]not tow their line was considered to be a kafir and immediately
[36:58]and this is how they legalized their practice of raising homes of
[37:03]the muslims in madhya madhya and there is the hadith of the
[37:07]prophet you know it's a very hof now khadis which says that
[37:09]i'm paraphrasing it but it means something like that that for the
[37:12]people who terrorize the people of madinah these people are dead i'm
[37:18]just terrible i'm paraphrasing this we can imagine during that time what
[37:22]yazid did and what these people have done and yet we still
[37:25]keep on talking till today or not lana they will take another
[37:28]it should be speak down but anyway that's the difference so the
[37:36]question why the destruction two answers one connect the dots external power
[37:40]two religious factor they won't agree now the final question is what
[37:45]is actually the teaching of islam because this is just a pair
[37:48]of islam that is the following abdul wahab i'm not saying that
[37:51]they are non-muslims no they recite the kalima it's not right for
[37:55]us to call them it's not muslims but we are just saying
[37:57]that this is an extreme interpretation of islam what is the majority
[38:01]interpretation of islam all right the majority interpretation of islam the sunnah
[38:07]majority of the sunnah together we with the shias we consider all
[38:15]these sacred places to be places of reverence places of respect and
[38:19]the journey towards them the visitation the zyara is worthy of reward
[38:24]remember not places of worship just respect reverence and blessing of the
[38:29]other worthy of reward and how does this come about this comes
[38:32]about because we see the hadith which is accepted by both the
[38:38]majority of sunnah and the shia where they say that the prophet
[38:42]after burn january was now established after ibrahim his son being buried
[38:46]over there he had a practice that he would be passing by
[38:50]over there and whenever he would pass he would recite salutations which
[38:54]in our tradition today would say let's research all right so he
[38:58]would do zaziara and he would say peace be upon you salaam
[39:03]be upon you all the abode of the homes of the faithful
[39:06]and then he would say we inshallah are soon going to join
[39:14]you just just find out just not what did the prophet do
[39:23]he would pass by so it was a tradition practice all right
[39:29]two he would recite salutations far away maybe over the wall or
[39:33]on the distance and what would be certain salutations when we salute
[39:36]we agreed to the living people listen i would say but this
[39:40]is conveying a message that the prophet is conveying a message to
[39:45]the allah in their world over there which means that they are
[39:48]receiving it and they'll respond and the third thing was he would
[39:52]say what is what dua so he was being adorable so three
[40:01]things establishes the tradition of the prophet i have got out that
[40:04]hadees but positive time i won't mention all this i'll just give
[40:07]on your brief background that this is a tradition established by the
[40:10]prophet and who is it the prophet who is the most truthful
[40:14]and the most trustworthy and on top of that the quran enjoins
[40:21]us [Music] you have in the prophet of allah usually role model
[40:27]role model forth for everything eating drinking praying walking seeking standing all
[40:34]right all aspects of life even this burial we very according to
[40:37]what the prophet taught us even maintaining the grave we do as
[40:42]the prophet is teaching us even now salutation in the we are
[40:45]saying for yourself and the hadith i mentioned the tradition of the
[40:47]prophet so this is uh what we say clarification regarding the teachings
[40:53]of islam from the sunnah the tradition and the hadees of the
[40:56]prophet now what does the quran say about it the quran remember
[40:59]that the story of here i would like to recommend especially for
[41:04]my younger friends over here read a very nice book written by
[41:07]sheikh muhammad bhagwan the companions of the king i was really attracted
[41:15]and i finished that book it's called the campaign of the cave
[41:21]which writes it in a very historical form you really love it
[41:24]the way he directed the story of bimi maryam the film of
[41:29]ibr maryam likewise he has written this book companion of the cave
[41:32]so request you please get this nowhere on your shelves it's a
[41:38]companion strike from destroyer to bring it about and i shared this
[41:42]with uh friends in my christian interfaith network and who are really
[41:47]enthralled with the way it talks about is the no well itself
[41:49]because i found it better rather giving them the story from the
[41:52]hadith and the traditions give them a storybook and they loved reading
[41:56]it and they said it's a very good thing so it moved
[41:57]forward complaining of the cave by muhammad saeed bhagamanpur we know that
[42:03]the story very briefly of how they sought refuge because they believed
[42:09]in allah they sought refuge they went to the cave and by
[42:12]the watches of allah for a long period of time they went
[42:16]to sleep and thereafter they woke up when they woke up they
[42:19]went to the city and they saw things that really changed all
[42:22]right the people started following them when they came to the cave
[42:25]over there very quickly what happened the incident took place and after
[42:30]a while allah wa ta'ala granted death to them all right so
[42:32]they've arrived at the cave and so these people have died now
[42:35]what is to be done so the enemies of faith at that
[42:39]time especially from the roman religion the worshipers of the roman the
[42:42]faith as such they said let us build a building you know
[42:47]make a settlement over here over here so that by building houses
[42:50]and let's say shops and so on people will forget this site
[42:53]all right so the trace of religious people will be forgotten but
[42:58]there were people over there who had faith in allah who followed
[43:03]the original teachings of what was the original christianity at that time
[43:07]the teachings of nabi allah isa and they prevailed over them and
[43:13]the quran talks about this those people who had authority over the
[43:21]others who are the others the others were saying let's just build
[43:25]some settlements and forget this prayer places let us take upon them
[43:34]and build a masjid what is a masjid for arabic without any
[43:36]doubt sajdah a place of worship a place of service a place
[43:43]of ibadah a masjid at that time was their form of whatever
[43:47]was therefore so that means this coming as a from allah words
[43:52]of the quran means it is the language of allah that there
[43:59]was no prohibition of building a structure over the grace of those
[44:04]companions of us so how can this be justified today that this
[44:14]is against the quran and against the conditions of the prophet so
[44:20]what meaning in conclusion it is essential today it's close to 79
[44:24]or how many years did i say 97 years 98 years since
[44:28]this incident has taken place and we as a korean community honestly
[44:31]i tell you we to the best of my knowledge are the
[44:34]only ones who have this printed on our calendar since that time
[44:37]imagine if we would not have known this our grandfather's tradition today
[44:43]you and i today would not have said and talked about it
[44:45]when i talked to some of my sunni friends about genital butter
[44:48]they even are because there is emphasis more on the khalif for
[44:55]them the first and the second one so i feel believe me
[44:59]very important for us to remember this day and talk to our
[45:06]children because it is essential the aims of saud at that time
[45:08]till today we need to be a barrier against it and the
[45:13]master which was recited today that though the grave is hidden though
[45:16]we do not know where it is but we know that mawlana
[45:22]meaning said that he is buried in our hearts so if it
[45:24]is buried in the heart of the shia what is in the
[45:27]heart needs to be manifested with action and one of the time
[45:30]instruction is remember this day and please observe this day as we
[45:36]conclude our oneness today in this final hours of yom will come
[45:38]in this time as we approach maghrib i would like you to
[45:42]join me in raising your hands and recite five why i have
[45:47]selected five in honor of let us first dispatch this to our
[45:51]with us as we remind ourselves of this great laws of our
[46:05]valuable priceless heritage of sacred divinely respected shrines your allah on this
[46:12]day of yahweh we pray to you by the way for beloved
[46:14]prophet in his affluent and especially by the authority and the william
[46:22]of our beloved father allah ya allah we pray to you for
[46:35]the protection of the sacred shrines ya allah we pray to you
[46:39]to grant us that opportunity for the ziyarah together with ease in
[46:44]performing the ziara and especially establishing azadari ya allah we pray to
[46:54]you that enable the ummah of islam to be able to bring
[46:57]about that day when we are going to be united to bring
[47:02]about the restoration of the glory of the sacred shrines ya allah
[47:08]we pray to you you are the molecule milk you are the
[47:14]divine sovereign you will grant defeat and we pray ya allah give
[47:21]defeat give confusion and make all forms of destruction to take place
[47:26]to the purpose of the ruling regime who are promoting the wahhabi
[47:32]ideology and finally allah we pray to you to bring coolness to
[47:48]the heart of zahra and one of the way the coolness will
[47:51]come to the heart of zahara salaam when you will hasten the
[47:58]forage of the imam of our time who will come to avenge
[48:00]the murderers of the tragedy of karbala the ones who threw down
[48:05]the door and bunt the door of heaven and the one who
[48:11]is our imam foreign okay
