[18:39]attend and to bring their flags along for the procession for any
[18:44]further details and to register please contact london inshallah we will now
[18:51]have the emoji list to be delivered by sheikh hasn't govany who
[18:54]will be continuing on this series on obstacles to integrity can i
[19:01]please ask that we welcome him when the loudest were earlier oh
[19:33]thought regime foreign [Music] [Music] oh [Music] foreign muhammad as mentioned obstacles
[21:45]to ingredient integrity and yesterday for those who are not here as
[21:49]a reminder for the rest of us we mentioned that integrity is
[21:55]that aspect is that idea that your thoughts are aligned or your
[21:59]values are aligned with your actions or rather that your actions are
[22:03]not in contradiction with your values that when you meet reality when
[22:11]things start getting tough in reality then those high values that you
[22:16]profess to have those aspects those more moral values those human values
[22:21]whatever those values might be but the values that you profess in
[22:25]your everyday life that you stick to those values the promises you
[22:30]made you stick to those promises and you don't go back on
[22:33]them and we said that the problem that imam was saying allah
[22:42]faced was that the people who had called him who had invited
[22:47]him who had given him promises were people who lacked integrity they
[22:52]were not true to their word imam hussain had a handful a
[22:56]handful of people very few who were true to the word but
[23:02]most of them reneged renegade most of them left the word most
[23:07]of them went against what they had promised and mind you allah
[23:14]is talking to the believers here see it's one thing to talk
[23:20]to them it's one thing to tell them the hypocrites because the
[23:24]hypocrites we know it is when you're a hypocrite you will say
[23:27]one thing but you will do another you will have something in
[23:31]your heart you will profess something else you will say one thing
[23:36]but in reality you will be something else he says it is
[24:00]highly grievous in the sight of allah it is very hated in
[24:05]the sight of allah that you say one thing but you do
[24:08]something else so this is that the idea of integrity is shown
[24:16]in these verses we said that in arabic there are a few
[24:19]different words we can use to transfer the meaning of integrity we
[24:26]won't find the word integrity in the quran or in the sunnah
[24:28]but we'll find words that gives us an approximate of the word
[24:34]of integrity one of them we said is to be steadfast another
[24:39]is [Music] he says integrity or chivalry is that you don't do
[25:06]something in your private in your privacy that you would be ashamed
[25:11]of doing amongst people whenever you feel that i am ashamed of
[25:15]doing this amongst people don't do that in your privacy in another
[25:20]reward and this is similar to a definition of taqwa as well
[25:25]the taqwa is that you are ashamed you feel you feel this
[25:28]sense of shame in front of allah the same way that you
[25:35]feel shame in front of a old man of your community in
[25:38]the way that you will be respectful if you are standing in
[25:43]front of an elderly of your community today in today's society there
[25:46]is no respect for elders even we are told that we should
[25:48]treat everyone equal and when they treat everyone equal then they forget
[25:55]that no some people have they deserve more because of their age
[25:59]because of their experience and so forth we naturally we have this
[26:04]inclination that when someone is older we should show them respect we
[26:07]don't use certain types of words in front of them we don't
[26:11]have certain habits in front of them with our friends we might
[26:14]sit in a certain way but we won't sit in that way
[26:17]with an elder with our friends we might use certain words we
[26:19]will not use that kind of words with our elders similarly when
[26:24]we are with allah and we are alone you know we forget
[26:28]that allah is always watching allah is always there that that whatever
[26:35]we are doing in dunya there is hisab for them so we
[26:39]need to remind ourselves and we need to constantly have that in
[26:44]mind we now want to move on to the obstacle that we
[26:46]want to discuss today which is peer pressure and conformity so these
[26:53]these are actually two different obstacles but they go hand in hand
[26:57]and we'll discuss these obstacles to integrity he quotes a person on
[27:06]the day of judgment he says that there would be a certain
[27:08]person and this is an example a type so there will be
[27:16]more than one but allah is quoting a specific type here he
[27:18]says that a person will say yeah some people on the day
[27:28]of judgment when they are being thrown into hellfire or when they
[27:31]see their actions when they see the result [Music] when we come
[27:47]face to face with our actions and we come face to face
[27:51]with the consequences of our actions some people will say i wish
[27:56]i hadn't taken such as such as friend i wish i wouldn't
[28:00]have taken his friends why because he misguided me he took me
[28:07]away from the thicker from the reminder after it had come to
[28:12]me so the reminder came to me i recognize that this is
[28:15]the reminder of allah god is reminding me through this revelation about
[28:20]his oneness and about my responsibility on the day of judgment but
[28:24]this friend that i had he made me leave the power of
[28:29]allah so he this person that god is quoting is equating his
[28:44]friend with shaytan he's saying that this friend that led me astray
[28:48]he is like a person who was treacherous to me now we
[28:54]human beings we have a tendency to be affected by our surroundings
[28:58]in the 1950s there was a experiment the people were killed as
[29:28]well uh and when all these people had been killed in the
[29:33]holocaust people were asking themselves questions how is it that people could
[29:40]commit such crimes you know it's not easy shooting people it's not
[29:43]easy pushing people into a chamber where there'll be gas and they'll
[29:47]be killed and then collecting the bodies and all forcing other people
[29:49]to threaten the bodies and overlooking all of this and having force
[29:54]forcing them not to eat anything and so forth treating human beings
[30:00]inhumanely it's not it tears down on the psyche of a human
[30:03]being so people were asking how is it possible that human beings
[30:07]could do this to other human beings so some would say that
[30:12]it is because of the german mindset that the germans they are
[30:15]very conformist the german have very easy that is very easy for
[30:20]them to accept orders so once you give the germans some orders
[30:24]they will carry out the orders there was a professor called stanley
[30:28]milgram sally milgram he said that no i want to i want
[30:33]to investigate this issue i want to say is this a german
[30:38]issue is this a german problem or is this a human problem
[30:41]so he made an experiment now you will have to imagine but
[30:46]i have to put this with the wood in your mind when
[30:49]i tell you about this experiment so what he does is he
[30:54]asks him sends a notice on the newspaper that i really experience
[30:57]i need people who want to be subjects in my experiments test
[31:01]subjects i want to commit a few experiments so they are called
[31:05]to the place now what they don't know so people the people
[31:10]who come for the experiment but they don't know is that out
[31:14]of the three people who are participating in the experiments there's only
[31:18]one who is not aware of what's happening two of them are
[31:23]actors two of them are actors now on the one side he
[31:27]has the learner that's the person who is actually an actor the
[31:30]learner is an actor you have the teacher or the leader who
[31:37]is the truth test subject and then you have the professor the
[31:40]one who is supervising everything what is the experiment the teacher is
[31:45]supposed to teach the learner some words then he is to examine
[31:51]the learner is to see do you remember the words that i
[31:53]taught you if he doesn't remember he used to push buttons these
[31:59]buttons are giving him electric shocks as he answers one question wrong
[32:04]he gives him a live shot the more questions he answers wrong
[32:08]is supposed to give him more and more and more shots until
[32:12]that it comes to a point where he says 450 volts lithium
[32:17]don't press now the test subject the teacher doesn't know that the
[32:22]professor is an actor he doesn't know that the learner is an
[32:25]actor they're just acting there's no real electricity going there's no real
[32:30]shock going in there but as soon as he presses a button
[32:34]the learner he sees a light and he acts as if he's
[32:39]getting an electric uh shot so they start the experiment and this
[32:42]was repeated several times they start the experiment after a while the
[32:49]learner he starts to answer the question wrong and the experiment leader
[32:53]the professor he says please give him the vote please give him
[32:56]an electric shock now they start to be 15 and in the
[33:00]beginning the teacher has been given an electric shock the lightest electric
[33:05]shock so that he knows how it feels as the wrong answers
[33:12]increase and the guy who is learning as his cries are getting
[33:15]higher and higher oh that hurts that that's really bad please stop
[33:20]it i don't want to do this anymore the teacher feels i
[33:22]don't want to participate in this anymore i don't want to be
[33:25]a part of this experiment anymore but the professor says go on
[33:30]it is important that you go on it is vital that you
[33:32]go on you have to carry out the experiment you you cannot
[33:37]back out at this point what they found was that all everyone
[33:40]who was a volunteer to be a teacher every single one of
[33:46]them went up to 300 volts every single one of no one
[33:52]said i could not go beyond 15 20 25 40 whatever everyone
[33:55]went up to they might have hesitated but up to 100 200
[34:00]300 they went along they gave the shocks they continued giving the
[34:05]electric shocks then at 300 some dropped off saying i won't do
[34:11]this anymore this is too much for me but up to 65
[34:15][Music] 65 administered 450 volts the length of charge 65 and this
[34:27]experiment was repeated in different uh situation what does this tell us
[34:32]this tells us that we as human beings we might think that
[34:38]we have a conscience we might think that we have integrity we
[34:41]might think that we care about other human beings but when a
[34:47]person in authority tells us to do something it is very easy
[34:50]to remove ourselves from our own personal responsibility we tell ourselves i'm
[34:55]not doing this i'm not responsible who is responsible the experiment leader
[35:00]or the president of the country is responsible or the general is
[35:05]responsible i'm just carrying it out i'm just carrying out orders so
[35:08]this is one type of clear pressure now you might say that
[35:14]look everyday life human being is on the religion of his friend
[35:45]human being is on the religion of his friends therefore each and
[35:50]every one of you should be very careful who you choose as
[35:54]a friend okay now what is religion here is now the when
[35:57]we underst when here in my humble understanding doesn't mean necessarily that
[36:06]okay if i'm friends with a christian i'll become a christian if
[36:08]i'm friends with the jew i will become a jew if i'm
[36:12]friends with the hindu i'll become a hindu what it means here
[36:15]is that the values that steers the the life of that person
[36:21]that guides the life of that person if i engage if i
[36:23]have such a person as a friend for example a person who
[36:26]does not care about a muslim muslim or a person who doesn't
[36:29]care about other human beings being a muslim or non-muslim whatever are
[36:34]the values that guides the life of that human being if i
[36:40]keep such a person as a friend my values will be affected
[36:42]by that person's values i will end up on the religion of
[36:47]that person i will start living my life like that person therefore
[36:51]we have another require from the sixth demand where is he says
[36:56]when you look for friends when you look for companionship when you
[37:01]look for whom to engage with with whom to have close relations
[37:03]with he says that you should look for to be a companion
[37:08]of those that will by being a companion of that person you
[37:11]will be beautified meaning it will become a good thing for you
[37:14]people will say about you this is an example right people said
[37:20]oh do you know certain he is friends with these people these
[37:23]high-minded people these people who are scholars these people who are who
[37:29]are achieving something in the world do not he says when you
[37:32]are looking for a company don't look for company those people who
[37:37]are lower than you don't look for companies people who are a
[37:41]under when you say low well not lower in the sense that
[37:44]they are lower in society people who are who don't have the
[37:49]same ambitions as you have people who do not share the same
[37:51]values as you have you should look to have company with people
[37:54]who have higher values than you yourself now i want to tell
[38:03]you about another experiment because now we talked about this hadith from
[38:05]the prophet in the sixth i'll tell you about another experiment this
[38:10]experiment was done by solomon i'm not sure if i'm pronouncing the
[38:15]name properly it is called the experiment of conformity again you have
[38:21]an experiment session where in this experiment there is a room there
[38:24]is a classroom several people are sitting in this classroom now one
[38:29]person is holding as well he thinks that all of the people
[38:33]who are sitting in the classroom are test subjects in reality he's
[38:36]the only test subject he's told everyone is a test subject he
[38:40]doesn't realize that everyone else are active the test leader then says
[38:47]i have two cards on one card he has three lines he
[38:52]has three lines of different size say for example one is a
[38:56]meter you use meters here you still use meters right after pressing
[39:00]you didn't go back and we said you know you want to
[39:05]use meters you understand meters okay so what you say one is
[39:08]one meter one is uh one meter twenty one is uh 0.75
[39:12]meters okay so one is one meter one is something above a
[39:16]meter one is something less than a meter then he has another
[39:21]card with a another line which where the line is one meter
[39:27]and he asks the participants he says which line which of these
[39:32]three lines is the same size as the line i have on
[39:34]this side so all the participants they start giving wrong answers so
[39:40]one reason here here we have one major they say no it's
[39:44]the one that is 120 that's the most closest to this one
[39:46]it doesn't say they can't it's not written out they just have
[39:50]to judge by the eye now this test subject is looking you
[39:54]know the test subjects normally they start saying that no this for
[39:57]example b line b is from the line on this side but
[40:00]then here's everyone saying line c is closest to the line of
[40:04]the sun so you start thinking what is wrong with me what's
[40:07]going on here and you would find that a number of people
[40:11]would turn back they would give the wrong answer only a quarter
[40:17]of the participants refused to budge so this experiment was also repeated
[40:21]several times only a quarter 25 of the participants refused to budge
[40:28]and say that no i don't care what anyone else here is
[40:34]saying this line is the same size as line b i don't
[40:35]care what anyone else is saying everyone else maybe this way that
[40:41]way okay if everyone else is saying and when they were injured
[40:43]afterwards some would say that i really believe because everyone else is
[40:46]saying this i really believe that there was something wrong with my
[40:50]eyes and some would say that no look i don't want to
[40:51]feel like i'm the odd man out if everyone is saying c
[40:56]i should also go with c what does this prove this proves
[40:58]that we as human beings have a very it's very easy for
[41:05]us to conform with what everyone else is saying when everyone else
[41:10]has a certain opinion or idea then very soon we will conform
[41:17]to that idea of that opinion and this will the psychologists say
[41:20]that this can be on three different different types it could be
[41:23]out of complaint with compliance because people are doing it so i'll
[41:26]do it i haven't changed my beliefs but because everyone else is
[41:32]doing it then just not to cause trouble i will go along
[41:34]this is compliance it's not that i believe in this but i
[41:40]will go along it could be identification so here there is a
[41:44]change of private belief although it might be a short time for
[41:47]example when you are at work when you are at work you
[41:52]are not the same person that you are at home generally when
[41:55]we are at work we are not the same person that we
[41:58]are at home when we are at mosque we are not the
[42:02]same person than we are at home you ask my wife how
[42:04]is ned by at home he shall tell you another story and
[42:08]you see me sitting here until you see it another story because
[42:11]we have personas we have different ways of presenting ourselves now in
[42:16]a work environment in a professional environment you take on the persona
[42:20]of that environment that you are in that space but that doesn't
[42:25]necessarily mean that you internalize the beliefs the third stage is internalization
[42:31]at that point you have internalized the beliefs at that point whatever
[42:37]is happening around you now you see that as something that is
[42:40]relevant to you you are actually you stand by those beliefs you
[42:45]profess those beliefs for you now that has become the new reality
[42:50]imam [Music] he says that when you engage when you are in
[43:07]the company of those who are righteous it will drive you towards
[43:12]it will call you towards righteousness because of that conformity because of
[43:15]that peer pressure if you engage if your company are righteous people
[43:21]slowly slowly you will internalize these actions these beliefs these values with
[43:38]the transgressors with those who break the laws of allah he says
[43:43]i warn you from this and from helping from assisting the oppressors
[43:49]is warning us from these things why because if we engage with
[43:55]them we will start to become more and more like that look
[43:58]what other things that peer pressure can affect peer pressure can influence
[44:03]the way we dress the way we wear our hair it might
[44:07]not be necessarily a bad thing but we have to be aware
[44:12]of these things how the way we dress and the way we
[44:15]act is very much influenced by society you know if brad pitt
[44:18]is wearing a certain uh he's wearing his wearing his hair in
[44:20]such a way or he brothers ibrahimovic is wearing a certain type
[44:27]of clothes then people are going to wear wear that kind of
[44:29]clothes i know people in from my previous experience in uk people
[44:32]worship football more than they sometimes worship of god i remember i
[44:38]think was in milton keynes where it was somewhere else the youngsters
[44:45]of the community then when they come in you know the young
[44:46]boys 10 12 years of age when they come to what's your
[44:52]favorite team not where are you from or how do you do
[44:56]what's your favorite team because football is the most important thing and
[45:00]then what happens if football is i'm not saying football is bad
[45:04]please don't misunderstand okay pray football is good you should keep in
[45:07]shape alhamdulillah but when these people become our idols then what we
[45:16]see them do we conform to them we feel that that is
[45:17]the right way of being that is the right way of acting
[45:21]that is the right way of wearing clothes and for sisters it
[45:24]might be something else it might be that they are looking at
[45:25]something else it might not necessarily be football might be something else
[45:30]but that also affects the activities you get involved in the music
[45:34]that you listen to this is how i'm using this music don't
[45:37]ask me which is that you ask them i'm telling you that
[45:42]certain types of music you should definitely avoid if you can avoid
[45:45]all types of music maybe that's better but certain types of music
[45:48]you should definitely definitely be aware if peer pressure can affect your
[45:55]choice of drugs and alcohol and cigarettes and so forth you might
[45:58]be a person who is very convinced i'm not going to go
[46:02]close to these things i'm not going to drink i'm not going
[46:03]to smoke i'm not going to use outward drugs but because of
[46:08]peer pressure and because of seeing our heroes doing it it's very
[46:11]easy to go against our integrity and with our friends who we
[46:18]have other friends and so forth now in old times had i
[46:25]been delivering this lecture maybe 20 30 years ago then i would
[46:28]have told you about your friends and i'm still telling you about
[46:33]your friends and the people you keep company with as well that
[46:35]these are the things that affect you and influence you but today
[46:39]more than that we are being influenced by [Music] this shaytan this
[46:48]shaytan has more influence on us than anything else because all in
[46:55]this it's very useful i agree this thing is very very useful
[46:57]but this thing has certain apps that i'm i'm not sure you
[47:03]know the parents especially those who are over the age of 50
[47:06]60 might not be aware those are parents and grandparents might not
[47:13]be aware of the fitna that is there when i say fit
[47:14]with the trials that is their own listening snapchat uh tippy talk
[47:20]instagram youtube even youtube because you know in all these social medias
[47:29]you get a bubble you get into that you get into a
[47:33]reality which is a bubble now in this bubble people are trying
[47:39]to present themselves in a certain way and the worst thing is
[47:41]that you don't know their reality people are only showing one side
[47:46]of their life you know these people are always smiling always showing
[47:49]off how i'm traveling to this place why i'm traveling to that
[47:52]phrase and then you hear a marriage breaking down why did the
[47:55]marriage break down because the wife went to the husband and said
[47:59]oh that couple is always traveling why are we not traveling or
[48:02]the marriage breaks down because the husband goes to divide and says
[48:04]that wife is always cooking for her husband why are you cooking
[48:09]all these nice dishes for me every day all that is just
[48:12]made up all that is just it's just fake fake news if
[48:15]donald trump had written something it's a fake news there's a lot
[48:18]of fake news out there social media will affect our behavior social
[48:25]media will will create peer pressure it will ask us to conform
[48:32]to the the way that people are on social media and we
[48:36]will confirm automatically because the more we consume social media and people
[48:40]become addicted my wife is a teacher and she was telling me
[48:47]that one of my students one of her students was saying that
[48:54]he was he was feeling very bad who was he hadn't slept
[48:57]during the night so she asked him why why didn't you see
[49:03]him he says i spent my time on t-top i spent my
[49:07]time on tick-tock i was looking at tip-top and spending my time
[49:09]on teaching i didn't realize how much time has gone and he
[49:15]says i really wanted to finish i really wanted i feel bad
[49:17]he himself says i feel bad and this you ask me do
[49:22]they actually enjoy me yes there's a high there's a very short
[49:27]high but otherwise they don't enjoy being an adult he says i
[49:32]don't it's a 13 year old boy he says i don't enjoy
[49:36]this but he says i can't i can't get my eyes off
[49:40]it it's so it drags me in so it's very addictive and
[49:44]each other we'll talk about uh addictive behaviors uh inshallah either tomorrow
[49:48]or monday but the point here is that as much as we
[49:51]need to be careful with who we have as our friends we
[49:56]also need to be careful with the media that we are consuming
[49:59]because that also okay [Applause] [Music] now if we are to choose
[50:13]friends who should we choose what it says he says the one
[50:26]who will help you towards becoming towards obeying allah that is the
[50:34]best of friends the one who will help you so yes you
[50:35]can use your mobile phones for the best you can use youtube
[50:39]for the best you can use the very good apps that you
[50:42]have and you can have very good friends and so forth online
[50:45]on social media whether it be facebook whatever it might be you
[50:50]know when i was in i was studying in syria and i'm
[50:55]studying arabic in syria in the university of damascus and our arabic
[50:58]teacher he was very strict on us and he said that you
[51:03]can only speak arabic in the class obviously arabic this was you
[51:08]know 10 years ago so we said but you know there are
[51:10]certain words we don't find these words in the arabic language we
[51:17]have to use english he said for example so we said facebook
[51:22]for example that back in those days people could send messages only
[51:26]on facebook so we said for example facebook i saw if i
[51:28]want to say i saw something on facebook or i wrote something
[51:33]on facebook i got a message on facebook he said no you
[51:35]have to turn that into arabic so how do we do that
[51:38]he said you said what i'm saying and so forth meaning that
[51:49]you turn it into an arabic verb so we went back to
[51:53]our colleagues at the hosa and we said today we learned something
[51:56]new we learned to say tahas baka for facebook so discussing with
[52:02]our colleagues they said well that's a good invention but we have
[52:05]a better word for facebook in arabic we said what is that
[52:10]i said that is facade and truly facebook instagram all these things
[52:14]are really a facade but it is up to us how we
[52:19]deal with these things i'm not suggesting that we should turn off
[52:22]all social media but we should be careful with how we deal
[52:26]with social media and it is important to have constructive conversations with
[52:32]our children about these things don't be angry with the children that
[52:36]this is their reality if you just tell a child oh you
[52:40]you i'm going to cut you off from tick tock you know
[52:43]for that child their social reality everyone in their amongst their peers
[52:49]are on teach everyone who's on instagram if you just take it
[52:51]away from them you just cut them off without explaining why so
[52:55]you need to have a mature conversation you need to speak with
[52:59]them on a level that why is this bad for you what
[53:02]are the consequences of this and guidance towards having good friends says
[53:10]that i will be aware of befriending corrupt people immoral people and
[53:17]those who openly commit acts of disobedience these are the people that
[53:20]we should be careful with these are the people that we should
[53:23]always stay away from because they will drive us here we need
[53:27]to so that if i um say what's the content of today's
[53:33]lecture if i want to summarize today's lecture it is that we
[53:38]need to be careful with where we take our influence whether it
[53:41]be friends or social media because we human beings have a tendency
[53:47]to fall for peer pressure and we have a tendency to conform
[53:52]but if you have integrity you will not come forward if your
[53:57]integrity is strong you are not conformed there is a narration about
[54:03]a jewish leader in the courtyard in the court of yazid when
[54:10]the heads of the shahada abroad that jewish leader as he sees
[54:19]yazid playing around with the head of himachal saying as he sees
[54:21]yazidis challenging as he sees all these things he asks who are
[54:27]these people whose heads are these so yes it says that this
[54:32]is the head of a marriage a rebel the jewish leader says
[54:39]what's his name he says his name is hussain we're saying who
[54:43]whose son says he says who's his mother father which father father
[54:56][Music] he's a jew but that doesn't matter he has integrity he
[55:08]says i am the descendant by 70 generations cut off from 70
[55:16]generations till this day my people when they see me they show
[55:20]me respect because of that because of that 70 generations says you
[55:25]have killed the grandson of your prophets at that point the jewish
[55:32]leader he realizes the head of him [Music] at that point he
[55:51]becomes a muslim and yazid orders that man to be killed in
[55:55]the same courtyard of yazeem and i wonder how she must have
[56:04]felt that all this is transpiring you know the the albano of
[56:11]memphis she wouldn't cry for her sons because she was crying for
[56:20]marcus i don't know i i did not find her crying after
[56:26]rashoda i looked towards the books of magdalena i found her crying
[56:29]on the night of rashford but after rashula i did not find
[56:34]her crying when imam hussain is telling her that she is going
[56:38]to die that he is going to die she cries imam hussain
[56:44]consoles but there comes a point when the horse of imam hussain
[57:01]returns towards the camp and there is no rider on the horse
[57:04]a young girl she comes out towards the horse she takes the
[57:09]reins of the horse she looks towards the horse and sees the
[57:12]blood of her father on the forehead of the horse and she
[57:17]says my father before he was killed did he have anything to
[57:24]drink or was he killed thirsty but say the zayn that when
[57:29]she sees the horse coming she goes onto a hill she sees
[57:32]her saying and hussein is surrounded she cries out to honor the
[57:40]son [Music] 70 feet away and she sees the brother being slaughtered
[57:57]but now i did not find it in the books of martin
[58:00]luther zainab is crying when there is no abbas when there is
[58:07]no akbar say the zainab is she is leading the army when
[58:12]the tents are burning she is the one who carries sabjad out
[58:14]of the chance when the children are running out in the battlefield
[58:17]she is the one who is running out and collecting all the
[58:20]children and bringing them back when the army of yazid when they
[58:25]want to slap the children she is the one who steps forward
[58:27]steps forth and says that do not hit the children do not
[58:32]slap the children but you want to know the canadian [Music] it
[58:38]is narrated that in the imageness where one of the grand scholars
[58:42]were sitting one of the mergers was sitting the zakir he went
[58:47]on to the member and he started to recite the [Music] he
[59:09]says enough what more do we need to cry for let's say
[59:13]that the daughter of ali enters the crowd look at him but
[59:20]it was not enough even the heart had opened it from city
[59:25]to city from town to town this is normated that when she
[59:34]is brought in front of yazid in front of her own stance
[59:42]when yazid is looking towards the captives he's asking who is that
[59:49]captain who is that captain who is that captain he sees that
[59:51]a captive is standing in one place a lady standing in front
[59:56]of that lady another lady is standing he says who are those
[60:03]two ladies so shimmer says that lady who is hiding isaiah zainab
[60:07]daughter of alain and the one standing in front of her yes
[60:12]it has the audacity [Music] i can see the total of at
[60:30]that point she refuses to move she looks towards the court she
[60:36]sees that in the court there are slaves from abyssinia so she
[60:40]cries out towards these soldiers she says to the slaves that all
[60:47]slaves from abyssinia do you deem it permissible does your does your
[60:52]manliness allow you to see a lady from your country being being
[60:57]taken away and being forced to move without your permission will you
[61:01]allow this to happen at that point the slaves of abyssinia they
[61:07]turn to nazis they say that's it we are your slaves but
[61:12]if anyone puts a hand on lady filter at this moment then
[61:16]we will shed blood here at that point yazid says leave her
[61:24]we'll filter i wonder what zainab is thinking at that moment how
[61:29]she turns to madina and she says ya rasulullah my grandfather this
[61:34]is the ruler of the muslims this is the courtyard of the
[61:39]muslims the slave woman has protectors but the granddaughter of rasulullah has
[61:45]no protectors [Music] that you forgive us for our sins we ask
[62:06]you that you will keep us away from things that will get
[62:10]us away from our integrity and that you remove the obstacles of
[62:15]integrity from our path allah we ask you that you keep us
[62:17]strong on the path of our life oppression around the world that
[62:30]you removed around the world and that you make us amongst those
[62:33]who remove [Music] [Music] foreign foreign [Applause] foreign foreign foreign [Music] foreign
[65:40][Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign oh yes oh foreign um [Music] foreign [Music]
[69:12]foreign and follow the instructions of all the uh volunteers
