[0:27]than alhamdulillah m m [Music] Allah [Music] [Music] J [Music] continuing with

[2:44]our discussion about 10 values from we started with the first value

[2:51]that is IM second wasam and tonight if Allah subhanahu waala gives

[3:05]us we will discuss Absolution which is for those who follow tonight

[3:16]is those who follow some of the other tomorrow would be the

[3:22]and this discussion about is an important reminder for each and every

[3:28]one of us to get into the state of seeking forgiveness to

[3:36]Allah subhanahu wa taala because we are sinners before I begin the

[3:45]discussion tonight though I'm going to start with a fictional story brothers

[3:49]and sisters a person who was a successful businessman during Co started

[4:04]losing to the point where he got into a lot of debt

[4:10]he was struggling to pay his mortgage he was afraid that the

[4:16]banks are going to take over his house as they started sending

[4:20]him warning letters he's worried about his family what is going to

[4:25]happen they might end up on the street so a lot of

[4:30]stress then his health started to deteriorate so added to the financial

[4:38]problems now came some health problems went to the hospital after several

[4:44]series of examinations and tests it was found that his kidney is

[4:51]failing so now his life is on the line if they cannot

[4:57]find the donor the right donor at the right time then his

[5:05]life might be ending so now he's in all this Challenge and

[5:10]difficulty thinking what am I going to do what's going to happen

[5:15]to my family after me with all these debts and all these

[5:21]crisis a wealthy multi-millionaire businessman approaches him tells him listen I will

[5:32]pay off all your debts so you have nothing to worry about

[5:36]I'm going to pay to the bank all that you owe so

[5:41]that you can own your home and you would not have to

[5:45]worry and your family doesn't have to worry anymore and indeed he

[5:49]goes and pays off all the loan and everything then he comes

[5:56]back to him and says it is found that I am actually

[6:00]a match for you I can give you my kidney and I

[6:06]will take care of all the expenses so he gives him the

[6:14]kidney takes care of all the expenses after some time this individual

[6:20]starts to recover slowly until mallah he gets into a good health

[6:26]he regains his health at that point this wealthy businessman comes to

[6:32]him and says okay alhamdulillah now that you are healthy things are

[6:36]turning to become good I'm going to give you some money to

[6:43]start a business I'll give you this money and this money is

[6:49]not a loan it's a gift not gift not the loan he's

[6:55]generous he gives him the money then he comes to him and

[7:02]says what are you planning to do with this money like what

[7:04]kind of business are you planning to have with this money this

[7:11]person who received the money received the kidney received all this help

[7:16]looks at him and says what's it of your business you're giving

[7:23]me the money I have a lot of experience in business now

[7:26]you're trying to tell me what business to do what business not

[7:31]not to do he says I'm trying to help you because I'm

[7:34]also a businessman if you tell me what business you're planning on

[7:39]doing so if I know this is not a good business then

[7:41]I can help you I can tell you don't Venture into this

[7:44]this is not something so I'm doing it for you not for

[7:48]me I don't need your help that's it and he turns away

[7:53]and goes what would you call this person what kind of adjective

[8:03]would you use to describe this individual honestly between you and Allah

[8:08]subhah wa ta'ala think about it what would you call this individual

[8:13]he had lost he was about to lose his house he lost

[8:18]his business initially this Allah sent this man to pay off his

[8:22]mortgage pay off his loans his kidney was about to fail Allah

[8:25]sent him and he gave him his kidney he wanted to start

[8:30]a business he said I'm going to give you the money after

[8:33]all this he's trying to give him an advice for his own

[8:38]sake not for himself like he's not going in a partnership with

[8:40]him and he said I Don't Need You Now isn't this what

[8:47]we do with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala if you think about it

[8:55]Allah gave us life Allah gave us risk Allah gave us parents

[9:04]who took care of us since we were little until we were

[9:06]raised Allah gave us this health not just the kidney the whole

[9:12]body he gave us the air to breathe he's given us the

[9:18]knowledge through which we were able to go to school and University

[9:21]and study and establish a business and he gave us and gave

[9:28]us and gave us in exchange Allah subhana tells us listen my

[9:33]my servant I have some requests from you but for your own

[9:37]good not for my own good I would like you to pray

[9:42]Salat which is for your benefit not my benefit and we say

[9:48]I'm busy I have a business meeting first and then I'll get

[9:50]to the Salat I'll do it later isn't that what we do

[9:56]my servant I'm giving you risk a 80% of the excess income

[10:03]is yours 20% give not to me it's to help your Society

[10:08]your community that I don't need your money I am you are

[10:15]you're poor no that's my money I made it hard earned I

[10:21]did it why do you want any of it I want you

[10:26]to wear the hijab because hijab is good for you it is

[10:31]good for the Society who are you to tell me to wear

[10:32]hijab why should I wear it I do not want you to

[10:39]do backbiting and why not I am better than everyone else well

[10:48]don't be too arrogant because I am the one who's given you

[10:53]the power and I can take the power away from you but

[11:04]the human being becomes arrogant when he feels he's independent isn't that

[11:14]what we do to Allah so whatever adjective we gave about that

[11:19]individual you think that should also apply to us that's why Allah

[11:28]subhanahu wa ta'ala loves those who do is not just words we

[11:35]say in the mouth yes that's also good is a state where

[11:45]we feel the need to Allah subhanahu wa taala where we feel

[11:49]that we have transgressed the boundaries of Allah subhanahu wa taala and

[11:55]we're asking him to forgive us and to accept us and to

[12:01]take us back that's and so when it comes from when it

[12:08]comes from people like his words come with complete understanding he understands

[12:22]he's in need of Allah subhana he understands that he needs the

[12:27]Forgiveness of Allah even though he's a he had not committed any

[12:34]sins he knows that but he realizes how great Allah subhah wa

[12:39]ta'ala is how great His blessings are and how insignificant our work

[12:44]is and therefore when we read in Dua [Music] must [Music] [Music]

[13:58]see these words because they came from a pure heart a heart

[14:05]who understood these words and hence they resonate with people that's why

[14:11]we have come across some people who became Shia after listening to

[14:17]Dua they said when we hear these words they pierced our hearts

[14:23]because it came from im a man who understands therefore many times

[14:35]there are several sermons and places where the IM speaks of one

[14:42]of them is sermon number 77 which I began with it's actually

[14:48]a Dua IM is praying to Allah to forgive him and the

[14:53]copy of that I'm using throughout these series is a copy printed

[14:57]in the Haram of inam muham this copy it looks like this

[15:06]it was printed back in the year 1336 so about 10 years

[15:15]ago celebrating 1,400 years after Imam Ali took kufa as his place

[15:19]of residence therefore sometimes you may find the numbers here not matching

[15:23]the numbers and some other copies but that's why when you hear

[15:29]me saying 77 etc etc this is the copy I'm referring to

[15:33]nonetheless that's in sermon 77 where he is talking about this then

[15:39]he says in the short words of wisdom 405 upon hearing a

[15:50]man saying this man apparently was just saying it with words like

[15:55]many of us do you know we catch the is trying to

[16:01]tell him and all of us that when you do your this

[16:05]is a state has to come from your heart it's good to

[16:09]do yes do say that's good but make it come from your

[16:14]heart so he says to this man and he's telling us it

[16:19]has six meanings this is a is a statement that carries six

[16:23]values first of all he says regret for what you've committed in

[16:32]the past we have done sins did you take the H of

[16:34]a did you for example say then say I'm not going to

[16:43]go back to anymore that's one regret two he says the determination

[16:48]not to go back to committing that sin again Allah says in

[16:52]the Quran he's talking to us seek repentance to Allah but a

[17:07]sincere repentance on this night brothers and sisters we all know our

[17:12]shortcomings each and every one of us even though we don't like

[17:13]to admit it every one of us thinks that we areum I

[17:18]don't have any faults at all I don't backbite I don't have

[17:24]Tak arrogance I don't hurt any other m i don't take the

[17:27]H of other I don't look down at people uh we are

[17:31]this is how we think of ourselves but deep inside when you

[17:35]really look inside you know that we we know our shortcomings we

[17:40]know what it is tonight we say whether it is whether tomorrow

[17:46]is cleanse our hearts Ya Allah cleanse our hearts so the determination

[17:52]not to go back to Comm one is Regret determination not to

[17:58]go back to commit the sin three you go back to those

[18:03]people whom you they have H with you give them back their

[18:06]H especially happens when there is inheritance sometimes the H is lost

[18:15]one brother one sister one sibling can take over or in Business

[18:20]Partnership or in marriage when there is a divorce then unfortunately that's

[18:26]when you realize who's a m and who's not a mmin at

[18:31]that point that's you realize it you see it and everyone justifies

[18:34]it the husband tries to oppress the wife she he says she

[18:37]deserves it because she's done this this this to me and she

[18:42]says he also deserves because he's done this this this to me

[18:45]I'm just taking my H back they try to justify it but

[18:49]when you sit down and look at it you find that neither

[18:51]of one is is is being fair be fair but that's not

[18:56]easy so that's the third step go back to the to the

[19:54]brother have you taken the H of a person when you are

[20:00]working at a particular organization they pay you to work for 8

[20:05]hours do you actually work the whole 8 hours or do you

[20:09]work 5 hours and the 3 hours for example try to make

[20:10]it up somehow and not work it well there is some issues

[20:15]right there brothers and sisters when we start thinking about this we

[20:19]all of us might be falling under some Haram of some sort

[20:21]or eating number six you have to make your body feel the

[20:30]difficult Taste of obedience just like you made it feel the pleasure

[20:35]Taste of Disobedience not easy huh all the stuff has to be

[20:40]done then he wants to give give us hope so he says

[20:48]in short words of wisdom 128 whomever is given for will not

[20:55]be deprived of four whomever is given he will not be deprived

[21:00]rived of forgiveness the interesting thing he says whomever is given how

[21:06]are you given well you got to work towards it that's asking

[21:13]Allah for forgiveness is not everyone does unfortunately when a person feels

[21:22]humble when a person feels weak he is reminded that I need

[21:27]Allah subhah wa ta'ala and I need the for forgiveness of Allah

[21:32]subhanahu wa taala then he says whomever is given sh gratitude will

[21:36]not be deprived of the increase and he's saying alhamdulillah alhamdulillah when

[21:42]you say that with understanding you are confessing that the risk and

[21:48]the blessing come from who Allah subhah wa ta'ala not you you're

[21:52]doing the effort you're doing the work but who's giving you the

[21:57]who's giving you the Allah and that's why I say alhamdulillah whomever

[22:00]is given sh he's given an increase three whomever is given repentance

[22:06]to he is not deprived of being accepted and hence tonight we

[22:17]say but with sincerity withas and then number four whomever is given

[22:24]Dua is not deprived of the answer so these are of of

[22:35]repentance my dear brothers and sisters this is the time when we

[22:41]turn to Allah subhanahu wa taala so these are some of the

[22:46]excerpts about now there are many others but for the sake of

[22:52]time this is what we will stop at these three things a

[22:58]man comes to Al IM Al Hussein and says I am addicted

[23:10]to sin can you help me he says to him do one

[23:13]of five things and you can sin as much as you want

[23:17]oh great what are they one try not to eat from the

[23:23]RIS of Allah subh waala and go sin as much as you

[23:25]want Allah's giving you the risk okay if you cannot eat the

[23:31]r of Allah the sustenance that come from Allah go sin as

[23:34]much as you want he said all the is from Allah subhah

[23:41]wa taala everything is from him it's okay number two he says

[23:45]try to leave get away from the power of Allah subhanahu wa

[23:53]taala and go sin as much as you want human and Jin

[24:10]if you are able Inman if you are able to run away

[24:15]from the power of Allah subhana wa tala then run away you

[24:18]will not be able to do so but with his permission with

[24:23]the permission of Allah subhana wa tala what does that permission mean

[24:27]it means through his obedience through the of muham three he says

[24:39]go to a place where Allah doesn't see you and sin as

[24:44]much as you want he said Allah sees me everywhere you know

[24:47]where where can I go where Allah doesn't see me he says

[24:53]all right for when mouth comes to take your life away tell

[24:55]him stop I don't give you permission go away he said you

[25:01]know what can I do how is that possible Subhan Allah I

[25:08]mentioned on the first night when I was here about 10 years

[25:11]ago how many M were with us and they are no longer

[25:17]with us isn't that right do we know that you and I

[25:20]are going to be here next year they could be so and

[25:24]so that's it so then what are we waiting for brothers and

[25:31]sisters Subhan Allah when will the human being realize that this D

[25:44]his 20s I remember he came home and he said I'm not

[25:50]feeling well I'm just going to go arrest from this community he

[25:52]said I'm going to go rest he went to sleep never woke

[25:58]up in his 20s same thing happened not too long ago in

[26:00]haar South London a man who was also a young man came

[26:05]home said I'm feeling a little tired I'm going to go rest

[26:10]a little bit sleeps and never wakes up Subhan Allah isn't this

[26:13]the reality of D brothers and sisters so why are we so

[26:20]much into this dun and in the Disobedience of Allah subhah wa

[26:23]ta'ala when are we going to wake up five the Imam says

[26:28]on the day of judgment when the Angels want to drag you

[26:43]I cannot stop the angels He says then how dare you to

[26:46]disobey Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala you're eating from the risk of Allah

[26:52]and you're disobeying him he's seeing you and you're disobeying him he

[27:00]has the power over you and you disobey him he can he

[27:05]will take your life away and you disobey him and he can

[27:07]put you in and you disobey him this is the reality brothers

[27:14]and sisters unfortunately and I don't know when are we going to

[27:17]wake up look at us in the community sometimes this person is

[27:19]talking about this person and this person is attacking this person and

[27:24]we have like Warfare happening and then what we are all going

[27:27]in the and finished isn't that the reality then what's the point

[27:35]of it all helps us to realize this is very short we

[27:40]need Allah oh people you are the poor in need of Allah

[27:50]Allah is he is Rich doesn't need anything we need him we

[28:02]worship him because we need that it's good for us he doesn't

[28:05]need it we obey him because this obedience is good for us

[28:10]so when are we going to wake up brothers and sisters what

[28:16]are some ways of we'll mention a few inshallah practical tips ofar

[36:23]90 90 inshallah Allah will bless the individual with with children then

[36:34]there is this Dua that I will read and I will finish

[36:39]inshallah because my time is finished and people say that you should

[36:43]not take too long this Dua is narrated by a book of

[36:46]duas called this is the second most famous book in Iraq and

[36:54]the Gulf region after ma Maan is you know the famous book

[37:00]of Dua the second most famous one is he narrates it the

[37:04]writer the author there Muhammad Muhammad he says this Dua is as

[37:26]follows for this Dua he says that it is attributed to the

[38:04]prophet whomever reads it Allah will forgive all his sins inshallah soar

[38:10]is very important as of tonight brothers and sisters let us turn

[38:13]to Allah for but let's be sincere and second let's do there

[38:27]was a man in Shir Iran by the name of Muhammad Rim

[38:36]Muhammad Rahim used to live next to Aus IM and every night

[38:44]he would serve dinner in the husse after a m every night

[39:06]to the point where he was about to die one of his

[39:11]sons says we sat down together and we started thinking what's going

[39:22]are we going to bury him how are we etc etc that's

[39:27]what we started to think about all of the sudden in the

[39:31]middle of the night my father calls me I go to him

[39:39]my father says I'm fine I'm not going to die and he

[39:44]gets out of the bed everything is fine he says we the

[39:49]children were too embarrassed to ask him father how you know what

[39:55]happened here we kept quiet you know alhamdulillah he was he said

[40:03]this year I'm going to go to Hajj okay so he started

[40:11]preparing for Haj this event happened on the eve of the first

[40:22]of muharam in the year 1330 what year are we now 14

[40:31]46 this is more than 100 years ago he started leaving Shir

[40:39]his children came with him to Bid Farewell to him to go

[40:43]to Hajj as they came to the borders of shiras he turned

[40:47]to his sons and he says Sons do you want to know

[40:51]what happened that night when was I was supposed to die he

[40:54]said father may Allah give you a long healthy life inshallah and

[40:58]he he said let me tell you he said came to take

[41:05]my and he said you are not going to J I told

[41:14]him why not I Am A M I pray my Salat I

[41:19]do my I pay mys I give my zakat he said yes

[41:25]but you have been a wealthy businessman and you have not been

[41:31]to Hajj and whomever is able to go to Hajj but does

[41:35]not go to Hajj does not die as a Muslim he says

[41:43]at that point I started to cry now this is a serious

[41:48]moment huh and life is finished Kal he says at that moment

[41:54]I said okay what about all the maalis that I have been

[41:59]doing ford Hussein don't they count so I called in that moment

[42:13]of desperation now this is a moment of the final moment I

[42:19]said these I used to do for your sake do they not

[42:25]count says that moment I saw a n coming he looked at

[42:32]me and said yes they do count I'm going to give you

[42:38]10 more years to live you need to do your Hajj he

[42:45]says I woke up that's when I woke up and so I

[42:51]was determined to go to Haj IM Hussein came to me and

[42:57]he gave me 10 more years his sha saved me from going

[43:03]to the Hellfire so he went to Hajj and came back alhamdulillah

[43:15]after some time and time went by his sons forgot what year

[43:18]did that event happen what day do you remember the eve of

[43:25]first of muharam which year 1330 after Hijra the last day of

[43:38]the in the year for 1340 after he came to his sons

[43:47]and he says children today is my final day they said father

[43:52]why do you say this mashallah you're well every he said my

[43:55]Imam gave me 10 years and tonight is the 10th year I'm

[44:02]leaving tonight and his son says Subhan Allah he went to bed

[44:08]on the eve of the 1 of muharam he was fine and

[44:12]there was not no illness nothing on the eve of the first

[44:15]of muharam 1340 he loved this D brothers and sisters we ask

[44:23]Allah to forgive us but through the wasil of muhammedi Muhammad now

[44:29]raise your hands in the Dua brothers and sisters on these holy

[44:33]nights of this holy month may Allah cleanse our hearts purify our

[44:39]souls the Quran says in the second Ayah of Surah he is

[44:45]the one who sent among the illiterate the reciting his a upon

[44:53]them purifies them first is then that's what we we need the

[45:02]purification part tonight so that inshallah we are ready for everyone raise

[45:08]your hands in the Dua many have asked us to remember them

[45:14]in our Dua some are ill some are in the hospital some

[45:16]have a lot of needs and experiencing a lot of challenges and

[45:19]difficulty especially at this time of the day and the world what

[45:24]are things that are happening and we are all in need of

[45:26]Dua so everyone [Music] together for [Music] 10 times together Allah Allah

[46:35]Allah Allah Allah Allah Allah [Music] Allah [Music] [Music] [Music] Allah [Music]
