[0:02][Music] Thank you.
[0:23]Alhamdulillah.
[0:36][Music] I think about you.
[0:58][Music] for [Music] mah.
[1:36]Yeah.
[1:41]Abdullah.
[1:45][Music] Assalam.
[1:49][Music] Lord, [Music] [Music] for [Music] A man by the name of
[3:23]came to Aladd.
[3:28]And in the narration, the im asked him, "Do you gather and
[3:36]do you mention us in these gatherings?" He said, "Yes, we do."
[3:47]The imam said, "I love these malis.
[3:54]Whenever you make such gatherings and you remember us, whomever sheds a
[4:05]tiny tear for us, then he has deserved Jenna." So, alhamdulillah, my
[4:10]dear brothers and sisters who blessed us to be here tonight, gathered
[4:15]to do the of And may Allah give us the to shed
[4:23]our tears for them.
[4:23]So that inshallah we attain their in the and in the through
[4:30]the and the blessings of theawat.
[4:32][Music] Our discussion inshallah if Allah gives us for the next few
[4:47]nights will be the journey of prophet Ibraim prophet Ibraim when you
[4:55]take a look at his life and we'll be taking inshallah some
[5:01]examples and excerpts from the life of prophet Ibraimisam but you find
[5:06]him growing up in a society that did not have faith He
[5:10]grew up in a society that was faithless yet mashallah he stood
[5:19]firm.
[5:15]He stood strong.
[5:18]So as we see in our lives today the society that we
[5:24]are surrounded with and by when I say society I mean the
[5:27]the global society brothers and sisters the challenges that we face he
[5:34]faced a lot of challenges as well.
[5:36]He had difficult tests, tribulations, challenges that he went through.
[5:46]He was almost killed, then exiled.
[5:50]Then he had to face whole bunch of challenges.
[5:53]When we take a look at these examples or some of these
[5:59]examples, we find that they have a lot of relevance to our
[6:01]lives in this day and age.
[6:05]And so as an introduction, I'll start with the ayah that I
[6:10]began with at the beginning from ayah number 89.
[6:14]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says we have given to the human pe
[6:27]people to the people nas the human beings not just to the
[6:31]Muslims not to the humans meaning this Quran is what is it
[6:41]only for the no is it only for Muslims No, it's for
[6:44]all of humanity.
[6:46]But it is up to humanity whether or not they want to
[6:50]benefit from it or don't.
[6:51]And for example, you have some medication.
[6:55]The medication is available for everyone.
[6:57]But those who can take it and apply it correctly will benefit
[7:03]from it.
[7:02]But those who don't, they are at a loss.
[7:05]And that's why Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says, We bring down of
[7:16]the Quran it's a cure.
[7:20]What else?
[7:19]Mercy.
[7:21]But for whom to the believers.
[7:25]Why is it only to the believers?
[7:28]For example, the oppressors are at a loss while the Quran is
[7:36]for all of humanity.
[7:39]But it is the who benefit from it.
[7:43]The mu they follow the prescription of the Quran the way it
[7:48]is supposed to be followed and hence they benefit from it.
[7:52]What is that prescription of the Quran?
[7:57]Mentions in the hadith that is known as what else?
[8:07]You know the hadith inshallah.
[8:11]What else?
[8:13]The book of Allah.
[8:16]Two heavyweights and my progeny my family.
[8:19]As long as you hold on to both of them, you need
[8:25]the Quran and you need what?
[8:25]The you will never go astray after me.
[8:34]Allah subhana wa ta'ala who is all knowing, all aware has informed
[8:40]me that they will never separate until they come at the river
[8:48]till the day of judgment.
[8:48]They will always be together.
[8:50]The Quran and what the this concept of they will never separate
[8:57]brothers and sisters is what we will be implementing to inshallah over
[9:03]the next few nights.
[9:03]When the prophet says Quran and the will never separate.
[9:08]It means brothers and sisters whatever attributes you give to the Quran
[9:17]you give to who?
[9:18]Otherwise they'll separate.
[9:21]They will never separate in their description.
[9:23]They will never separate in their teachings.
[9:26]They will never separate in their applications.
[9:29]They will never it's in every aspect.
[9:32]You can think about Quran and the are the same.
[9:36]If you want to think about it, it's like having one coin
[9:38]with two sides.
[9:41]It's exactly the same.
[9:41]The applications are the same.
[9:47]For example, Quran says We bring down of the Quran what is
[9:54]cure and mercy.
[9:54]What does that tell you about?
[9:57]They are also what?
[10:00]Cure and mercy.
[10:00]Otherwise, there will be a separation.
[10:02]But they're not separating.
[10:06]Allah says if we are to reveal this Quran upon a mountain
[10:19]you'll find it shaking trembling out of the fear of Allah subhanahu
[10:23]wa ta'ala and you have having the hadith our talk our narrations
[10:30]are very difficult they can only be bared I an angel, a
[10:40]messenger of Allah, a believer whom Allah has tested his heart with
[10:50]faith.
[10:50]So they're difficult to bear otherwise there will be a separation.
[10:56]Whatever you apply in the Quran, Allah says about the Quran in
[11:03]a Quran that were to move the earth, moves the earth, the
[11:15]dead would be revived and spoken to through this Quran.
[11:20]So what does that mean about You have to apply the same
[11:27]to them otherwise there will be what?
[11:28]Separation.
[11:29]And they will never separate.
[11:31]So you see how deep this hadith is.
[11:34]Is very deep brothers and sisters.
[11:37]So we realize the greatness of if we apply this prescription then
[11:45]yes Quran is a cure.
[11:48]Quran is a mercy.
[11:48]Quran brings us all the blessings that we can get from the
[11:53]because we applied the prescription of the Quran.
[11:55]That's that's why Quran is for every human being but it is
[12:02]it is the the believers who apply both Quran and together they
[12:08]will reap all the benefits from the Quran.
[12:11]The story of prophet Ibraimisam brings us this elegance from the Quran.
[12:16]So Allah subhana wa ta'ala says in we have given the human
[12:29]beings all people in this Quran of every example.
[12:32]This is something really interesting and then I'll finish the ayah and
[12:38]come back.
[12:40]Most people have refused to accept.
[12:47]Most people refuse to accept they rejected.
[12:52]Now, here is this ayah.
[12:55]I've been thinking one day about this.
[12:57]We have given in this Quran to the people of every example.
[13:05]So I was thinking how is that the Quran has of every
[13:10]example in what context in what sense how are these examples presented
[13:18]in the Quran such that they have such good relevance to us
[13:22]and here I came up with maybe three possibilities one is the
[13:28]miracle of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala it's a miracle of Allah subhanahu
[13:32]wa ta'ala the words of Allah are miraculous.
[13:37]It is said one day four people at the time of imam
[13:44]there were people who were atheists at the time they're known as
[13:52]now there is a book that's been translated to English brothers and
[13:56]sisters called it's available in English when you have time go read
[14:05]this book in it you'll find some discussions between some atheists and
[14:11]Imam.
[14:10]The interesting thing is these discussions are still relevant today.
[14:14]Still relevant today.
[14:18]And you'll have for example a man coming to and says um
[14:23]you say that your lord is capable of everything.
[14:26]He said yes.
[14:28]He said is he able to take the whole earth and put
[14:29]it in an egg such that the size of the egg does
[14:32]not increase and the size of the earth does not decrease.
[14:34]Have we not heard this argument before?
[14:37]You hear it this day and age.
[14:39]This has been there for like 1200 years, brothers and sisters.
[14:41]This argument, it's not it's not a new argument.
[14:46]People are presenting it.
[14:47]The im gave a very simple answer to try to inform this
[14:55]person that your question really is not a logical question.
[14:57]It's a logical fallacy which I'll talk about later on in one
[15:01]of the nights.
[15:02]He told him, "Uh, look at that mountain over there.
[15:06]Do you see it?" He said, "Yes." He said, "You see the
[15:10]whole mountain?" He said, "Yes." He said, "How could that whole mountain
[15:13]go through the pupil of your eyes and through your brain?
[15:16]That whole mount, the image of that mountain just made it through
[15:23]your Did the mountain decrease in size or did your pupil incre
[15:26]you increase in size?" The mountain did not decrease.
[15:30]is your pupil did not increase but it managed to get through
[15:33]your pupil and through to your brain.
[15:35]So how is that possible?
[15:36]Said Allah subhana wa ta'ala is capable.
[15:40]The man said it's a great one.
[15:43]He says no one has ever spoken to me in this language
[15:44]before.
[15:45]And he said the detain with the imam.
[15:47]But later the im explained he said this question in itself is
[15:54]not a logical question not that Allah is incapable it's the egg
[15:59]itself is incapable to hold the whole earth without expanding the egg
[16:03]itself for example brothers and sisters you bring the strongest man in
[16:06]the world today the strongest man I don't know who's the strongest
[16:11]man in the world today you guys know mah he's mah may
[16:13]Allah bless alhamdulillah we have the strongest man on earth today amongst
[16:15]us all right So you have any I don't know the person
[16:20]people who lift you know at the Olympics mashallah 2,000 kilos 3,000
[16:22]kil those guys bring them tell them are you very strong he
[16:26]says of course I am very strong tell them here take this
[16:28]piece of paper here this I want you to throw it all
[16:31]the way to the wall you say you're strong here take this
[16:36]what do you think is going to happen if he throws it
[16:41]will it reach the wall and at the most might reach maybe
[16:46]the tip of the member here Right?
[16:47]And it will fall.
[16:49]Right?
[16:49]So then is it logical to tell this man, "Oh mah lifts
[16:52]like 2,000 kilos." You tell him you claim to be strong.
[16:57]You want to try?
[16:58]No.
[16:59]No.
[16:59]Okay.
[16:58]Um why do you claim to be strong?
[17:03]You're so weak, man.
[17:03]You know, look, look at this.
[17:04]You couldn't even get it halfway through.
[17:08]What is he going to answer you?
[17:10]What's his answer?
[17:13]He said, "You gave me what?
[17:16]a tissue paper.
[17:19]The problem is not my strength.
[17:23]The problem is what?
[17:23]The tissue paper.
[17:25]It does not have the ability.
[17:26]I cannot show you my strength because the problem is in this.
[17:29]Give me for example something that weighs like 10 kilos, 20 kilos
[17:34]and I'll throw you.
[17:35]I'll throw it.
[17:36]I'll make it even pierce beyond this.
[17:38]Right?
[17:39]So what's the problem?
[17:40]The problem is the tissue.
[17:40]The problem is not his strength.
[17:42]You can't tell this man that you're so weak.
[17:45]You can't even throw a tissue paper across the How can you
[17:51]claim to be so strong?
[17:51]Tell him I am strong.
[17:54]The problem is this.
[17:55]The paper has a problem, not me.
[17:59]Similarly, Imam is saying that the egg has the problem, not Allah
[18:04]subhana wa ta'ala and his ability.
[18:06]Earth has a problem, not Allah and his ability.
[18:09]That's why it's a logical fallacy.
[18:11]It's called the logical fallacy.
[18:13]It's it's the question is faulty.
[18:16]The question is not the right question.
[18:18]But until today I have youth sometimes coming to me and they
[18:24]say she you know I was searching uh Google the other day.
[18:27]Oh Google is like old news now man.
[18:28]It's like chbt you know chbt and I I was searching this
[18:34]up and here is an argument you know can can Allah put
[18:36]like earth in an egg and I would smile at them.
[18:39]I tell them imam answered this 1200 years ago brother may Allah
[18:42]bless you and you're still asking me these questions but you see
[18:52]so is a good one another good book ished by also translated
[18:56]to English that's also has some really nice arguments in it between
[19:02]Imam and some of the atheists of the time nonetheless so four
[19:09]people atheists Abu Shakani Maliki and Abdah those four those four people
[19:21]they gathered their leader was he was the master they had one
[19:25]these were atheists of the time they used to come to Mecca
[19:28]during the season of Hajj now you think what are they doing
[19:31]in Mecca in the season of Hajj if they're atheist well this
[19:33]is a perfect time to create doubt in the minds of people
[19:37]so brothers and sisters Be careful.
[19:39]Huh?
[19:40]Sometimes these arguments you hear on the internet or you hear from
[19:43]people, you know, they're there to create doubt.
[19:46]The easiest way to change and manipulate the youth is by creating
[19:51]doubt in your faith.
[19:54]That's why alhamdulillah we attend these males so that we increase our
[19:59]faith our so that such arguments when they come even if we
[20:02]don't have an answer for but because the base is so strong
[20:08]we say you know what I know this is right this is
[20:10]h this is h the woman's side they say is very full
[20:20]so can you ask the woman's side please to stand out you
[20:23]guys are careful too.
[20:23]Might as well you know let's all let's make it fair.
[20:26]They stand and you stand as well.
[20:29][Music] Please move up forward as much as you can for the
[20:38]fulfillment of the Haj.
[20:41]The second one with a salawat for the of the im of
[20:49]the of the iman.
[20:49]The third salawat with the loudest of voices.
[20:57]So we need to maintain this.
[21:01]The problem is creating the doubt.
[21:02]The doubt you know they say one day speaking of the doubt
[21:04]they say one day there was a philosopher.
[21:09]There's a group of philosophers who are known in Arabic as in
[21:16]English they call them realists.
[21:17]Realists are people who fa who say claim that everything in this
[21:23]universe is an imagination.
[21:23]Nothing exists.
[21:25]Yeah.
[21:25]You guys think I'm here.
[21:26]It's actually your imagination what tells you that I'm here.
[21:28]My imagination tells you you're sitting here.
[21:31]Some of you are smiling.
[21:32]No, this is a real there's a bunch of philosophers who claim
[21:37]this that this whole existence is just your imagination making you feel
[21:41]that there is such an existence.
[21:42]So one day one of the teachers of those kind of school
[21:47]of philosophy was standing next to the river talking to his student
[21:50]and he was giving him all the evidence and the proof that
[21:52]everything that you see is just your imagination.
[21:56]nothing exists.
[21:56]Now the student could not answer you know he he the teacher
[22:01]was presenting some really solid arguments but the student had some he
[22:06]had some brain he he thought for a second he said okay
[22:08]he goes and he pushes the teacher into the river so the
[22:12]teacher falls into the river the teacher gets out when he gets
[22:15]out of the river you know what do you think in what
[22:18]state is he angry he's soaked he's like what did you do
[22:21]why did you throw me in the river why what's the problem
[22:25]what do you mean That's a problem.
[22:27]I got soaked.
[22:28]He said, "It's your imagination." No, I don't think you got soaked.
[22:33]No, you're fine.
[22:34]Then he told the teacher, he said, "I don't have an answer
[22:38]to your arguments, a logical philosophical answer to your argument, but this
[22:41]is the answer to your argument.
[22:44]This water is real and you got soaked in the water.
[22:48]You're telling me that this is all my imagination, you know." So
[22:51]that's why why because when you have a strong when you have
[22:55]a strong faith then sometimes you may not have the right answer
[22:58]you don't have the answer but because the faith is so strong
[23:03]then that's what we try to build inshallah brothers and sisters by
[23:08]attending these malis and learning about as well inshallah when we talk
[23:14]about the journey of prophet Ibraim that faith is so strong in
[23:20]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala so these Four people they gather at the
[23:23]season of Hajj so that they can create doubts into the hearts
[23:26]and minds of people once they create doubts.
[23:28]So these four one day they came they saw people doing around
[23:32]thea they said you know these guys are you know brainless you
[23:36]know they're going around thea because some prophet came to them a
[23:40]few years ago told them just to go to around thea hey
[23:42]you know how about this you guys they claim that they follow
[23:44]a Quran why don't we come up with our own Quran we
[23:47]are four and each one comes up with one quarter and then
[23:49]we'll put it all together and then we'll come up with our
[23:53]own Quran and let people follow us great idea how much time
[23:56]do you need well let's take a year next year will come
[24:00]back.
[24:01]Same place, same time.
[24:01]He said, "Okay, good.
[24:04]Tell us." They went, they came back after one year.
[24:05]So they sat down, the four of them.
[24:08]They said, "Okay, what did you do?" So they turned to Aba,
[24:15]their leader.
[24:13]Where's your copy?
[24:15]Aba said, "When I went, I left you guys." First thing I
[24:18]thought, "Let me read the Quran." You know, if I want to
[24:21]come up with a book like the Quran, first I should read
[24:22]what the Quran says so I can come up with a book
[24:25]like it.
[24:26]So I started reading, reading, reading.
[24:28]He says until I came to this ayah in surah yuf after
[24:31]they lost binyamin you know the brother of yufu when yseam took
[24:38]his brother the brothers of yuf they left the palace and they
[24:42]came once they gave up hope from him they started whispering they
[24:51]came together and they started whispering to each other he says the
[24:56]eloquence of ayah is amazing.
[24:58]Now these guys were atheists but they had good command of the
[25:03]Arabic language.
[25:03]You know they understood Arabic language really well.
[25:05]In fact one of them those of you who are Arabs I
[25:11]don't know if you've heard of the book called the translator of
[25:15]isdah.
[25:16]He translated into Arabic.
[25:18]So he knows Arabic really well.
[25:19]Okay it's been one of those books the interesting books.
[25:24]Um so nonetheless so they knew Arabic really well.
[25:29]So says when I came to this ayah I thought this is
[25:31]an amazing ayah.
[25:32]There is no way I can come up with anything like the
[25:34]Quran.
[25:35]So I gave up.
[25:37]I quit.
[25:38]That's the first one.
[25:39]So they went to the second one said okay what about you
[25:44]Abdalik Albasi?
[25:43]What did you do?
[25:45]He said well I kind of did whatever did as well.
[25:48]I followed his suit.
[25:49]I picked up the Quran.
[25:50]I started reading reading reading.
[25:51]However, I came to this ayah in an example has been given.
[26:04]Listen to it.
[26:08]Those who worship other than Allah, they will not be even even
[26:13]to create an a fly.
[26:14]A fly.
[26:15]And then And if a fly takes something away from them, they're
[26:27]so weak that they would not even be able to get it
[26:33]back.
[26:30]Sometimes a little fly may bring, for example, an illness, a disease
[26:38]that might kill someone.
[26:39]Little fly.
[26:42]That's it.
[26:42]So Allah says one day Abu Jafar Mans, the man who killed
[26:53]Imam.
[26:54]He was on the pulpit and he was so arrogant.
[26:56]He was to sit like this, you know, was like, you know.
[27:02]So one day I imam was there and a fly came.
[27:05]A fly came.
[27:05]Now he was so arrogant.
[27:08]He's like the king like this.
[27:09]So he's like going like this and then the fly kept on
[27:11]buzzing around him and he's like the fly irritated him so much
[27:15]that he by the time you know he fell off his throne
[27:18]that's how he fell off his throne a fly so then he
[27:22]became so angry you know his face turned red it's like why
[27:27]did Allah create the flies imam gave him that punch in the
[27:30]face you know not physical not literally how he gave him a
[27:36]he said to humiliate the tyrants like you.
[27:38]Why did Allah create for us?
[27:40]So that you don't feel that's so arrogant like this to humiliate
[27:43]people like you.
[27:45]A little fly.
[27:44]Look what it did to you.
[27:49]Okay.
[27:49]So this man Abd Malik said I came to this ayah.
[27:51]This is an amazing ayah.
[27:54]And the way it's stated, the way it is put together, the
[27:57]description in there, I couldn't I I quit.
[28:01]Once I came to this ayah inah, I realized this Quran could
[28:04]not have been written by Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam said.
[28:16]Okay.
[28:17]Number three, Abu Shakirani, what about you?
[28:21]He said, "Well, similarly, I also picked up the Quran.
[28:26]I started reading it.
[28:26]I came to this ayah in if there were gods in it
[28:38]in this universe, if there were gods other than Allah, it would
[28:42]go into chaos." And what a beautiful argument that there is only
[28:47]one God.
[28:49]One God.
[28:48]If there were multiple gods, one would say, "I would like day,
[28:53]the other one say no, I like night." One would say, "I
[28:55]want heat." The other one say, "I want snow." One and so
[28:59]on so forth.
[29:01]Another argument, just as a side note here, I im brings also
[29:04]a very nice argument to his son imitah subhanahu wa ta'ala, they
[29:13]would have sent us some prophets.
[29:15]If there was a god, he would send a prophet.
[29:17]He said you know what not only Allah for example there is
[29:22]another god I I am a messenger of that god.
[29:25]So why he said all the messengers they all sayahillahillah all of
[29:30]them.
[29:31]So this shows that there is only one god otherwise where are
[29:35]the messengers of the other gods if they existed.
[29:36]So that's another argument that's another proof that we have there's only
[29:40]one god.
[29:41]All right.
[29:42]So this ayah this man Abu Shakir he says I came to
[29:48]this ayah I cameos that's it it's done you know what a
[29:50]beautiful argument what a eloquent verse I could never come up with
[29:56]a verse like this so I realized that it was not Muhammad
[29:58]who wrote the Quran you know Muhammad the last one number Four,
[30:12]he said people let me give you the, you know, the final
[30:15]the punch line.
[30:20]This Quran is not written by a human being.
[30:23]Did not come from a human being.
[30:26]Again, these people were eloquent in the Arabic language.
[30:29]They knew Arabic really well.
[30:30]Okay?
[30:31]He says, "Let me give you the bottom line.
[30:33]It did not come." He said, "I also picked up the Quran.
[30:39]I was reading it.
[30:38]I came to this ayah where Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is talking
[30:45]about the flood of inah he says oh earth swallow your water
[30:57]you know this is when the flooding is over now when the
[31:00]flood wants to finish so swallow thy water what else.
[31:07]Skies stop pouring.
[31:11]Earth, you swallow the water.
[31:12]Skies stop pouring.
[31:16]The water disappeared.
[31:20]The mar got finished.
[31:20]Everything is done.
[31:25]And then the water was so high up that the ship once
[31:28]the water receded it was on top of a mountain called Judy
[31:33]the mountain of Judy.
[31:34]That's something interesting you know brothers and sisters in theat in theat
[31:39]it is said that the flood lasted 600 years.
[31:44]600 years the flood lasted.
[31:48]Now some people ask me they say sheh how could they survive
[31:50]on the ship for 600 years?
[31:51]Well I say well subhan allah who made the whole ship in
[31:55]the first place and got on the ship in the first place
[31:59]Allah subhana wa ta'ala he told so Allah subhana wa ta'ala could
[32:02]have sustained them also for that long and he must have developed
[32:04]either the means Allah must have taught the means on how to
[32:11]survive for 600 years on the ship either through agriculture through for
[32:15]example uh the animals and the farms and so on.
[32:18]and so forth or Allah subhana wa ta'ala must have come up
[32:21]with some mechanism.
[32:23]So regardless the whole thing was not an ordinary thing but if
[32:27]earth was under the water for 600 years this may may suggest
[32:30]may suggest what some scientists are discovering today that there is some
[32:35]water sedimentation on mountains which suggest suggests that the earth one day
[32:41]was covered with water.
[32:43]Those of you who study geology, you've come across this in science
[32:47]that they say there is water deposits, sedimentation, minerals are deposited on
[32:52]mountain suggesting that the earth was one day covered by what?
[32:55]Maybe this is one of the reasons this is one how it
[33:00]was done.
[33:03]Nonetheless, he says I came to this ayah and then now on
[33:07]the mountain that's it.
[33:10]the oppressors may stay away, be cursed away.
[33:13]He said, I came to this ayah.
[33:15]I said, this is not a verse from a human being.
[33:19]He says, so therefore, this one is such an eloquent ayah.
[33:25]So those four people then they said, we gave up.
[33:27]That's it.
[33:30]IMI then passed by.
[33:32]He waited for them to finish the discussion.
[33:35]The Imam came by.
[33:35]Imam came by and he read this ayah.
[33:39]Ay 88 of say if humans and jin gather they would come
[33:56]to bring a Quran like this one they will never be able
[34:03]to do so even if one supports the other.
[34:06]I mean not only you four if you four come with the
[34:11]whole human beings and the jin everyone together to come up with
[34:14]a copy of the Quran you will never be able to do
[34:17]so in fact Allah subhana wa ta'ala in the Quran puts a
[34:19]bigger challenge he says give me one ayah of the like the
[34:24]Quran and you will never be able to do so so and
[34:25]if you think about it brothers and sisters if you think about
[34:29]it fought against 13 years in Mecca Right.
[34:37]And then 8 years 8 years in Medina.
[34:40]So 13 + 8 that's how many years?
[34:46]Don't scare me guys.
[34:49]13 + 8 20.
[34:51]Alhamdulillah.
[34:51]Thank you.
[34:52]May Allah bless you inshallah.
[34:54]You know I got worried there.
[34:54]I know it's a a long day for you guys.
[34:59]May Allah bless you inshallah.
[34:58]But uh 13 plus 8.
[35:04]All right.
[35:02]21 21 years they fought against now imagine they could have really
[35:10]put it together very simply why fight for 21 years let's come
[35:12]up with an ayah of the Quran they were really eloquent right
[35:15]they could have made life really simple why fight against this man
[35:20]for 21 years let's come up with an ayah of the Quran
[35:21]and kalas everything is done but they were unable to do so
[35:27]they realize this is not the words of a human being so
[35:31]one reason why the Quran is such an eloquent book, such a
[35:36]relevant book throughout the centuries is because of its miracle.
[35:39]Second reason, brothers and sisters, the Quran, the Quran addresses the weaknesses
[35:46]of the human being.
[35:51]We have needs to Allah.
[35:51]Allah says, illallah, people, you are in need of Allah.
[35:57]Allah is all rich, all sufficient.
[36:00]He does not need Allah does not need anyone.
[36:07]We need Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
[36:10]And that's why we read as I mentioned in the Quran.
[36:14]Quran brings you cure, brings you mercy.
[36:17]We are in need of cure.
[36:20]We are in need of mercy.
[36:21]And hence the Quran has this relevance to us.
[36:25]The third reason why this Quran is so relevant.
[36:31]The third reason is also maybe an answer to the question I
[36:34]told you about when I read the ayah that we have revealed
[36:40]in this Quran of every example.
[36:41]You know I looked at this ayah and I'm like what are
[36:44]how is the Quran consisting of every example?
[36:48]One possibility God knows this could be the third reason why Quran
[36:53]is so relevant across the centuries.
[36:55]So one reason the Quran is relevant across the centuries is because
[36:59]of its miracle miraculous nature.
[37:04]Second it addresses the needs of the human being.
[37:06]Human being has needs and Quran addresses.
[37:08]The third reason which may also answer that question.
[37:14]It consists of every example is that the Quran brothers and sisters
[37:19]consists of examples about the human nature.
[37:21]Human nature has not changed.
[37:23]We have needs and we have desires and we have different personalities.
[37:28]These personalities did not from the time of Adam until the day
[37:36]of judgment in the society you will have people who are jealous
[37:39]and sometimes unfortunately those people who are jealous could be the most
[37:44]closest to you your own brother and sister like what happened with
[37:56]and why did kill it's jealousy why That jealousy where did it
[38:00]come from?
[38:02]Because devoted himself to Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
[38:04]Habil said and he devoted himself and submitted to the will of
[38:11]Allah.
[38:12]Didn't like it.
[38:12]Didn't like it.
[38:14]And I will be talking about this over the next few nights.
[38:18]Inshallah when I come to address one night inshallah those so-called influencers.
[38:23]Oh, now I see people raising their heads like this.
[38:26]No.
[38:27]Oh, this is interesting.
[38:28]Okay, stay tuned.
[38:30]Few nights.
[38:33]Sometimes people when they want to go to Jahannam, they don't go
[38:37]like to go alone.
[38:38]They want to take as many people with them as possible because
[38:42]they say, "I don't want to feel lonely in Janam." You know,
[38:45]keep me company.
[38:46]I'm serious.
[38:47]You You're laughing at this.
[38:48]Some people when they want to disobey Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala they
[38:54]don't want to do it alone because then they'll feel you know
[38:58]awkward but if they can convince other people to join their camp
[39:02]now everyone is doing it so therefore it's okay now it's it's
[39:06]accepted okay soil why was he disappointed what did Habil do to
[39:14]he didn't do anything to him they presented a sacrifice Allah accepted
[39:21]from Allah accepted.
[39:24]Hab had nothing to do with it.
[39:25]But Kabir was angry.
[39:26]Why did Allah accept from you not from me?
[39:29]Okay.
[39:29]So I'm going to kill you.
[39:30]Okay.
[39:31]So that is there that kind of unfortunately attitude exists in the
[39:39]society.
[39:40]Who who threw Ysefam into the well?
[39:43]Who threw him?
[39:43]Was it the Pharaoh who threw Ysef in the well?
[39:46]Huh?
[39:47]You guys familiar with the story?
[39:48]Who threw him in the well?
[39:52]His own brothers from the same father.
[39:56]Maybe different mothers, but the same father.
[39:57]And why?
[39:58]They're jealous.
[40:00]They were jealous.
[40:00]Why?
[40:01]Our father loves him more than us.
[40:03]But he loves him because he's special.
[40:05]He's a prophet of Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
[40:10]And still he was a prophet of Allah.
[40:14]He would not make a mistake.
[40:16]He was fair to his children.
[40:16]Ysef was special.
[40:18]No.
[40:19]How could he be special?
[40:20]Why aren't we special?
[40:22]Why aren't we prophets of Allah subhana wa ta'ala?
[40:25]Why did Allah choose Ysef to be a pro?
[40:29]Allah chose him.
[40:31]Allah chose him.
[40:29]No, but that attitude exists.
[40:34]That attitude still exists.
[40:36]That's why Allah says in the Quran, do they feel jealous about
[40:44]what Allah has given them of his grace?
[40:47]And the says from the we are the people who are being
[40:54]having people jealous of us.
[40:56]Allah has given us this blessing but they are turning against us.
[41:03]Okay?
[41:04]And Allah says, Jealousy exists in the society or doesn't exist.
[41:10]It does exist.
[41:13]Okay?
[41:14]It's a reality or no, it exists.
[41:16]That nature of the human being exists and therefore Allah addresses that
[41:22]nature.
[41:24]That attitude exists in the community in the society.
[41:28]For example, Allah gives us examples.
[41:29]These could be how Allah subhana wa ta'ala has given us of
[41:35]every example.
[41:34]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has given us an example of a person
[41:40]who was poor but then became rich.
[41:43]When he became rich he turned against Allah and that's was of
[41:51]the people of who?
[41:55]He turned against them.
[41:58]And some of the interpretations say was the cousin of MS.
[42:02]He was his cousin.
[42:05]But then he turned against him.
[42:08]Why?
[42:07]Because of the money.
[42:09]He became wealthy, rich.
[42:11]He turned against the religion.
[42:14]Turned against the prophet of Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
[42:16]And Allah tells us in the Quran in mashallah.
[42:30]Good job.
[42:32]I like that.
[42:35]Good.
[42:33]The human being would become arrogant when when he feels that he
[42:40]does not need anyone anymore.
[42:41]So that attitude exists in the human nature.
[42:45]Allah gave us one example.
[42:46]On the contrary, on the contrary, Allah gave us another example.
[42:53]Ysefam, Ysef, those of you who are familiar with the story, he
[43:00]went to prison.
[43:02]You guys remember that?
[43:02]You know, he went to he ended up in prison.
[43:05]He was in the palace, but then he end up in prison.
[43:07]Okay?
[43:08]when he was in the prison, if you read the ayat of
[43:13]the Quran, he had some prison mates, two of them saw a
[43:19]dream.
[43:17]So they came to Ysefam and they asked him, "Can you interpret
[43:22]our dream for us?" Then the ayah says, if you look at
[43:24]the ayah of the Quran, when they asked him to do the
[43:30]dream interpretation and so on so forth until the end of the
[43:37]ayah, tell us about the interpretation of our dream.
[43:47]We see you amongst the what?
[43:51]And you look like a a nice person.
[43:52]You're a kind man.
[43:55]It is said in the interpretation Ysef in the prison, he used
[43:58]to look after his prison mates.
[44:00]He would go look after them, take care of them.
[44:02]He's nice to them.
[44:03]Now in the prison, does he have anything?
[44:06]No, he doesn't own anything in the prison.
[44:10]He's in the prison now.
[44:12]He's poor.
[44:13]But he is what?
[44:15]Now you guys are familiar with the pro with the story prophet
[44:18]Ysef Alam.
[44:19]Does he end stay in the prison?
[44:21]Does he stay in the prison?
[44:24]Come on, guys.
[44:25]Mashallah.
[44:26]Have you read surah yu?
[44:29]May Allah bless you.
[44:31]Good.
[44:31]Yeah, he doesn't stay in the prison.
[44:32]That's right.
[44:34]Okay.
[44:36]He gets out.
[44:38]But when he gets out, what happens to him?
[44:43]In what state does he become?
[44:48]In what position does he does he take when he comes out?
[44:52]He's now what?
[44:53]Huh?
[44:55]He's now Aziz.
[44:57]He's like the second man in the state.
[44:59]He becomes the advisor of the king.
[45:05]Are you guys with me here?
[45:06]So now is he rich or poor?
[45:08]He's now wealthy.
[45:11]He's the second man in the state.
[45:13]He's living in comfortable life.
[45:15]things are different now.
[45:17]His brothers come to see him and then he does what he
[45:25]does to take his brother Binyamin.
[45:27]Okay.
[45:28]When he takes his brother Binyamin, now his brothers at that point
[45:32]still don't know him.
[45:35]They don't still recognize him, right?
[45:36]But what do they tell him?
[45:38]Listen to this.
[45:40]Now in the prison, in the prison, what did the prisoners call
[45:44]him?
[45:46]You remember that sentence?
[45:51]Remember the sentence?
[45:53]This is in prison.
[45:54]Now his brother has come to him.
[45:56]He's now the prince.
[45:59]He's now a wealthy man.
[45:59]The second man in the state.
[46:03]Oh honorable man.
[46:06]Now he's the second man in the state.
[46:09]Aiz.
[46:11]He has a father who is a very old man.
[46:13]and his brother Binyamin.
[46:18]Binyamin has an old man.
[46:19]Her father is an old man.
[46:21]Take one of us instead of him.
[46:29]The same sentence.
[46:32]We find you among those who are kind, virtuous.
[46:35]You look like a good man.
[46:38]When he was in the prison, what did the prisoners call him?
[46:43]when he becomes now the second man in the state nothing changed
[46:50]whether he was poor in the prison or whether now he's the
[46:53]second man in the state living that comfortable life next to the
[47:00]king he's still kind and humble you see brothers and sisters the
[47:04]that is an example of a human nature that's how we want
[47:08]to be we want to be among the we want to be
[47:12]those who are mind.
[47:15]We want to be among those who do not change because we
[47:16]have wealth, we have knowledge, we have this these possibly again possibly
[47:25]these examples of the Quran when we read from surah yuf and
[47:28]from the life of prophet Ibraimisam the lives of prophet MS and
[47:34]Isa and so on so forth when we read those combination of
[47:39]stories they reflect to us the human nature in all its different
[47:45]aspects.
[47:46]Having for example a good son like is with his father.
[47:52]Having a bad son like to his father.
[47:56]Having a good husband like Ibraim and his wife S.
[48:01]having a bad husband like and so on so forth.
[48:08]Having a good wife.
[48:08]having a bad wife and all those examples in the Quran if
[48:14]you really go back to them you'll start finding subhan Allah it
[48:18]possibly consists of all those different aspects of the human nature they
[48:24]are found in the Quran possibly that's maybe one of the ways
[48:33]why Allah subhanaha Allah subhana wa ta'ala says And we've given in
[48:41]this Quran to the people of every example.
[48:44]How is that every example?
[48:45]Every example that represents the human nature which has not changed the
[48:50]human nature still.
[48:52]You have the stingy.
[48:53]You have the generous.
[48:56]You have the kind.
[48:56]You have the unkind.
[48:58]You have the jealous person.
[48:59]You have the person who does not have jealousy.
[49:02]Like Binyamin was not jealous of his brother Ysef.
[49:04]He was not jealous.
[49:07]Okay.
[49:08]So you all these examples, Subhan Allah, if you really go back
[49:11]and start really looking at the detail of the Quran.
[49:14]So next time brothers and sisters, when you read the Quran, look
[49:16]at it from this perspective.
[49:18]When you read the stories of the Quran, think of it of
[49:23]this perspective.
[49:25]And that could be a reason why when we when we talk
[49:27]about, for example, the story of prophet Ibraim.
[49:29]am and the story of prophet MS.
[49:34]And when we take a look at our holy prophet, we find
[49:46]that Allah uses them as role models for us in the example
[49:59]of the holy prophet sallallahu alaihi wasall a good example.
[50:05]to whomever is looking for the grace of Allah and the hereafter.
[50:14]And if you are seeking Allah and the hereafter follow because I
[50:19]hear sometimes people they say prophet Ibraim is a prophet of Allah
[50:23]subhana wa ta'ala he'sa and ms and our prophet sallallahu alaihi can
[50:34]I follow them how can I follow their example you know they
[50:40]are infallibles and according to our as the followers ofam We believe
[50:46]prophets are born prophets.
[50:47]They're born sinless, pure.
[50:51]What is the evidence in Mariam?
[50:55]Isaam was a baby, newborn.
[50:57]He was just born.
[50:57]He was carried by Miam.
[51:00]And what did Miam what did what did he say when he
[51:05]spoked?
[51:10]I am the servant of Allah.
[51:14]And don't claim me as a son of Allah or an associate
[51:16]to Allah.
[51:17]No, no, no, no, no.
[51:18]I am a creation of Allah.
[51:21]I'm a servant of Allah.
[51:22]Abdullah, but not an ordinary servant.
[51:24]I've been given the scripture.
[51:26]I have that I receive.
[51:29]I've been given the scripture.
[51:34]He's made me what?
[51:38]A prophet.
[51:39]and he's baby and newborn just born and he knows that he
[51:42]is what he's a prophet of Allah subhanana wa ta'ala which is
[51:48]really funny brothers and sisters so Isaam in the Quran he's a
[51:51]baby he says I'm a prophet he know you knew and our
[51:55]prophet whom all Muslims agree he's the best of Allah's creation there
[51:57]all you ask every Muslim they tell you the prophet sallallahu alaihi
[52:00]wasall is the best of Allah's cre but he did not know
[52:04]that he was prophet until the age of 40 and even then
[52:05]he was in doubt you know when I was teaching a course
[52:09]one day, a class about Islamic studies at the university and one
[52:12]of my students asked me, he said like, you know, you guys
[52:15]claim that your prophet is the best of God's creation.
[52:17]I was like, yeah.
[52:18]Like, but he did not know he was a prophet of God.
[52:22]He was in doubt because in every book about Islam to the
[52:24]best of my knowledge that's available in universities that is taught at
[52:28]universities in every book it quotes this narration of Al Bkari.
[52:35]When the prophet received the revelation and the angel Girael told him
[52:39]read, he said I don't know how to read.
[52:44]I don't they translated as I don't know how to read.
[52:50]He said you know so on so forth.
[52:53]Then he came back down to Khadijah shaking trembling.
[52:54]He says I don't know what just happened cover me.
[52:59]Cover me.
[53:00]I I don't know what I just saw.
[53:01]She told him tell me what did you see?
[53:03]He said, "I saw this.
[53:05]This is" He said, "No, no, no.
[53:06]Don't worry.
[53:05]This is a this is an angel of God.
[53:07]Let me take you to my cousin who's a Christian and he
[53:10]will confirm that you're a prophet of Islam.
[53:13]My cousin the Christian will tell you you're a prophet of Islam."
[53:18]So she takes him to her cousin who was a Christian and
[53:22]he had read read some of the scriptures and he tells him,
[53:27]"Tell me what did you see?
[53:27]I saw this and this." He said, "Yeah, that sounds to me
[53:29]like you're a prophet of God." "No, I think you're a prophet
[53:33]of God." Oh really?
[53:32]Thank you very much.
[53:34]I did not know this.
[53:35]I really needed you to tell me that I am a prophet
[53:39]of Allah.
[53:39]But now I feel really good.
[53:40]This is what's written in Bkari.
[53:42]By the way, you guys are laughing.
[53:43]Read Bkari.
[53:45]The first section in Bkar.
[53:47]In fact, the first hadith in Bkari how the was sent.
[53:52]This is what the hadith said.
[53:53]This hadith is found in every book that teaches about Islam in
[53:57]academics, academic circles.
[54:00]In my PhD thesis, I quoted a whole bunch of these references
[54:03]and I said this is what they say.
[54:05]So then I told my student, I told him, you're right.
[54:10]You're right.
[54:12]Based on this description, I see where your confusion is coming from.
[54:15]However, I told him there is another perspective.
[54:18]That perspective is hardly ever mentioned in the textbooks that that are
[54:23]taught in universities.
[54:22]And that is Imam.
[54:26]He says, "I was with when he received the revelation and I
[54:31]heard a cry." So I turned to him and I said, "Yeah,
[54:36]what is that cry I just heard?" He told me, "Yeah, you
[54:41]hear what I hear and you see what I see, but you
[54:46]are not a prophet of Allah." Knows the status of knows he
[54:52]is not a prophet of Allah.
[54:54]And he knows that he is what?
[54:55]He himself is a prophet of Allah.
[54:57]He says yi the shout that you just heard the cry is
[55:03]the cry of the shaitan giving up hope that he will be
[55:06]able to deviate all of humanity.
[55:10]Now with this revelation being sent upon mean has gian's purpose is
[55:15]what to deviate all of humanity.
[55:17]That's what he said in the Quran.
[55:19]I want everyone to go to jenn but now now he can't
[55:24]deviate.
[55:24]He'll deviate a lot of people but not every human being because
[55:27]now there is this is the prophet sallallahu alaihi knew from this
[55:39]narration knew he was a prophet of Allah.
[55:42]He knew Ali is not a prophet of Allah but he was
[55:45]of a high status.
[55:45]You see what I see you hear what I hear but you
[55:48]are not a prophet.
[55:50]And he knew that this cry that what happened just happened is
[55:53]the shaitan which is different from the angel.
[55:57]And he's fully aware of what is happening here.
[56:00]He does not need to affirm to him whether he's a prophet
[56:04]of Allah or he's not a prophet of Allah.
[56:06]Again is of a great status but he does not need her
[56:11]affirmation to believe that he is a prophet of Allah subhanana wa
[56:14]ta'ala.
[56:14]He knows it.
[56:17]And then the says, we have a now that he received the
[56:20]message when he came out of the cave.
[56:26]Every stone, every stone that he used to pass by, the stone
[56:29]would say, the stone would send upon him.
[56:36]People are telling me she how is that possible?
[56:37]Brothers and sisters, come on.
[56:41]Come on.
[56:40]Let's read the Quran.
[56:43]We have Musa Alisam has a stick.
[56:47]The stick he hits it with a stone.
[56:49]And what happens to that stone?
[56:51]12 fountains explode from the stone.
[56:55]12 fountains come out of the How did the stone know how
[56:57]to respond to the stick of Mus Alisam?
[57:00]Huh?
[57:01]You think about it.
[57:05]Why now?
[57:05]If I take a stick and go hit a stone in the
[57:08]middle of the desert, you know, it will come up with fountains.
[57:10]This is specific to the prophets.
[57:14]The stone knew it was commanded by Allah subhana wa ta'ala to
[57:18]respond to Musam.
[57:18]And therefore when Musa hit the stone with its stick responded by
[57:25]exploding with fountain and not just like tiny little you know f
[57:29]the whole tribe there were 12 tribes of Bi is each one
[57:34]had their own stream.
[57:33]Mashallah.
[57:34]Now can we imagine?
[57:36]But this is in the Quran.
[57:38]This is in the Quran.
[57:39]So that stone that could respond to Misam, it had the understanding
[57:47]to respond to the stick of Musam, that stone would not recognize
[57:58]Muhammad.
[58:00]So you see brothers and sisters, if we keep this in mind,
[58:05]we come to this understanding that you know the prophet sallallahu alaihi
[58:10]knew indeed of his.
[58:12]He knew of his.
[58:14]This is our belief.
[58:17]And so therefore, when the Quran tells us follow their examples, the
[58:20]answer we give, brothers and sisters, it is our that all the
[58:23]prophets are born infallible.
[58:28]But they teach us how they interacted with these different human natures.
[58:34]Ysef interacted with his brothers.
[58:37]Habil interacted with his brother Kabil.
[58:40]Ysef interacted with the prisonmates.
[58:42]Our prophet sallallahu alaihi wasall interacted with his community and his society
[58:46]who some of them were jealous.
[58:48]Some of them had hatred.
[58:51]Some of them loved Sahal.
[58:52]Some of them would sacrifice their lives for su.
[58:56]So if we take a look at this holistic picture, we see
[59:00]mashallah.
[59:00]Okay, that's how Allah wants us to follow their example.
[59:02]They wear mum.
[59:04]They are the best of Allah's creation.
[59:07]And so I will aspire and be inspired by them to follow
[59:10]their example and how they dealt with the people around them.
[59:14]Those different human natures that we still face in this day and
[59:17]age still until this day and age.
[59:19]The people who killed the children killed the children and he killed
[59:26]and he abused.
[59:25]But he comes out and says we are the people who are
[59:30]you know in power and we are the people who we need
[59:34]to save our community from these group of people who try to
[59:37]misguide you and deviate you.
[59:38]Doesn't that sound very similar to our world today and how the
[59:43]people talk in this day and age?
[59:45]Anything has changed?
[59:45]No.
[59:46]It's just the names now.
[59:50]It's not it's something else.
[59:51]Okay.
[59:52]So that really the human attitude and nature has not changed from
[59:57]Adam till the day of judgment.
[59:58]Quran gives us these examples and hence that's how we can follow
[60:04]as our role models and guides because they teach us how to
[60:10]interact with such a community with such a society.
[60:13]At the same time, we also want to be among those who
[60:17]are kind, among the virtuous, among those who stay with remain loyal
[60:25]to them.
[60:28]When I im Ali was on his way to he came across.
[60:40]This ria is found in Anoir volume 41.
[60:47]The is attributed to Albak.
[60:55]He says passed by.
[61:07]So he said when his companions passed by and they saw his
[61:13]eyes full of tears.
[61:19]His eyes are full of tears.
[61:23]So he passed by Carbala.
[61:23]He is in Kbala.
[61:28]His companion saw him crying, crying.
[61:29]He said, "And he said, this is where they will be setting
[61:38]there.
[61:39]They'll be coming to this place.
[61:48]This is the place where they will be putting up their tents.
[61:53]And this is where going to be setting up.
[61:56]This is where they'll be sitting and setting up their tents.
[62:02]This is the place where their blood will be shed.
[62:09]What a blessed place you are.
[62:18]On it the blood of the loved ones will be shed.
[62:23]those people imi saying I love those people who will be withdah
[62:32]that's the kind of people we want to be don't we read
[62:42]then then im continues he says and he left he walked with
[62:53]a group of his army, not the whole army, some of them.
[62:59]And this was just before he attain or arrived to Karbala.
[63:02]So, I im Ali that statement he said initially that I just
[63:07]quoted when he was in Kbala.
[63:08]He arrived there and he but before arriving there he was about
[63:15]two miles away from Kbala.
[63:16]He says two miles away from Carbala.
[63:19]He says he walked in front of his people until he walked
[63:25]around a place called one of the names of and then he
[63:34]said in this place 200 prophets have been killed.
[63:41]Is not new to blood.
[63:45]200 prophets have been killed in this place and 200 descendant of
[63:54]a prophet has been killed in this place.
[63:59]200 prophets and 200 what?
[64:01]Descendants.
[64:03]All of them are shuada martyrs.
[64:07]These 200 prophets and 200 descendants of the prophets.
[64:16]This is the place where people will be sitting and the martyrdom
[64:23]of people who are in deep love.
[64:26]In in the narrations of the concept of is deep love is
[64:37]actually condemned unlike what we hear or read in Persian poetry.
[64:40]Persian poetry is full of that's beautiful.
[64:45]But from the narration perspective, Im Ali one day was asked what
[64:50]is your opinion about those who are in he said these are
[64:56]hearts that are empty vacant of the remembrance of Allah.
[64:59]So Allah filled them with the love of other than him.
[65:02]Okay.
[65:03]Someone who loves another human being.
[65:05]Okay.
[65:06]So in the in the narrations of is usually condemned not praised.
[65:12]Love is praised but the love of who?
[65:16]Allah and that love is praised.
[65:18]Love is praised is not unless someone becomes of Allah subhanahu wa
[65:23]ta'ala.
[65:24]That's a separate story altogether.
[65:25]This hadith however is an exception.
[65:29]Here I im refers to the companions of Im Hussein as what?
[65:38]Hak they are in deep love with who?
[65:43]Al Hussein.
[65:42]Don't we hear this word Hussein?
[65:46]What?
[65:48]The love of Im Hussein made me lose my mind.
[65:51]And indeed we are in love of Abi Abdah Hussein.
[66:02]No one before them can reach their status and no one after
[66:06]them can reach their status.
[66:08]These guys were exceptional.
[66:09]We want to be among them.
[66:12]Imm Hussein left Mecca with 1,000 people.
[66:16]By the time he arrived in Kbalah on the day of Ash,
[66:21]he was left with approximately approximately 100 people.
[66:23]Approximately give or take.
[66:27]That's like 90% of the people left him.
[66:30]This is in addition to those who wrote letters to him and
[66:32]they never showed up altogether.
[66:34]In addition to those who wrote letters and turned against him.
[66:38]You see brothers and sisters, we want to be among those 10%.
[66:43]We want to be among those those unique ones.
[66:48]Over the next few night we will read about them.
[66:51]How we can attain that status.
[66:53]Inshallah.
[66:53]What are some of the things we can do with our limited
[66:56]abilities to attain that level?
[67:00]But they arrive in Kbala on such a night.
[67:04]Brothers and sisters, on the eve of the second of Muhar, those
[67:07]lovers, according what I im Ali Alisam describes him, they arrive in
[67:13]Kbalah.
[67:14]Some of them are there, some of them have not yet joined
[67:16]Im Hussein.
[67:18]They are on their way, making their way.
[67:22]They arrive there.
[67:26]Imm Hussein once they arrive now he knows where they are.
[67:33]He does not need to ask but he's trying to ask to
[67:38]show his companions so that none of them would say we did
[67:41]not know.
[67:42]He wanted to make it very clear to the people from the
[67:46]first day that you who are joining me don't expect anything from
[67:50]but is our goal.
[67:52]He wanted to make very clear until the last night.
[67:56]He said, "We're being killed tomorrow.
[67:58]You guys leave me.
[67:58]Go.
[67:59]We're not going to be winning this battle in a worldly context.
[68:04]We're all going to be killed.
[68:10]This is the place we will be settling.
[68:15][Music] This is the place where our men will be killed.
[68:27][Music] This is the place our blood will be shed and the
[68:38]last one.
[68:43]I this is the place our women will be taken as prisoners.
[68:55]Oh, that's not an easy thing.
[69:00]Brothers and sisters, says when I recited my famous poem to you
[69:14]were there on the day of and had seen Hussein and this
[69:20]your cheeks.
[69:20]He said, "I came to a line, a verse in the poetry
[69:25]where when I imbed this verse, he picked up his im, he
[69:32]threw it to the ground and cried." So they asked him, "What
[69:43]was that verse that burned the heart of your imm?" He said
[69:48]I reminded him of his aunt.
[69:53][Music] I said, "The daughters of Zad are well taken care of
[70:11]in the palaces.
[70:11][Music] [Music] and the daughters of are prisoners taken in the desert.
[70:36]Ah, now you understand what I also.
[70:45][Music] So then he turns to [Music] set up the tents for
[71:00]my women and children.
[71:05]Abul descend down from his horse.
[71:10]Start setting up the t while zam is well taken care of
[71:19]on her camel.
[71:22]She awaits because the protector of the caravan is there setting up
[71:31]the tents.
[71:34]He sets up the test, gets them all ready.
[71:39]Then he comes back.
[71:42]Zab, [Music] let me help you dismount your camel.
[71:47]And let me take you inside your tent.
[71:51]He helps her with his hands, carries her, brings her down from
[72:00]her and his hand on hand on his sword.
[72:05][Music] Oh, now you see what happened on the 11th of Mash
[72:21]when Zab was told get on the Z.
[72:29]Now you are a prisoner for us.
[72:33][Music] She turned towards the river of [Music] Brother, you were the
[73:05]one who helped me ride my camel when we left Medina.
[73:10]Brother Abbas, your eye was protecting us.
[73:15]But now the arrow is in the [Music] And I don't have
[73:29]my hand [Music] [Music] as if he tells her.
[73:41][Music] Amen.
[73:58]Amen.
[73:54][Music] Hey, [Music] [Music] Z.

[76:18]Brothers and sisters, sisters, this is the time inshallah when duas are
[76:21]accepted, are fulfilled with these tears in our eyes in the majus
[76:27]of many have requested us to remember them in our dua.
[76:32]Through the baraka of this and your duas, it will be accepted
[76:35]everyone together.
[76:40][Music] Amen.
[76:54][Music] Amen.
