[0:14]muhammad we are continuing with the tafsir of the quran we are

[0:22]doing the short surahs in the quran the surahs in jesus and

[0:29]tonight we will be doing surat the one that brother qasim just

[0:36]recited is one of the short surahs in the quran and it

[0:45]discusses the creation of god the creation of allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

[0:52]the stars and the signs of allah subhanahu wa ta'ala are discussed

[0:57]throughout the whole quran this is one thing that's very beautiful in

[1:02]the quran that you don't find it in any other book is

[1:06]that allah throughout the quran constantly reminds us of his creation and

[1:13]allah wants us to look at and analyze the creation of allah

[1:18]subhanahu ta'ala right now in science when they talk about the scientific

[1:23]method what's one of the first things the first steps of the

[1:29]scientific method hypothesis or observation observation is one of them so i

[1:39]don't know which one comes first probably observation so the the allah

[1:45]the quran wants us to observe all you have to do is

[1:51]observe use the eyes that allah has given you and look at

[1:53]the creation of allah and you make a judgment you come and

[1:58]conclude how is this perfection how is this all put together so

[2:03]sometimes sometimes you see allah talks about washington sometimes allah talks about

[3:04]and causing a mess there's an order there's an order so this

[3:12]is what allah wants us to look at and this is why

[3:16]this is one of the surahs in the quran that reminds us

[3:20]of the creation of god and then it leads us back to

[3:22]understand our own creation and then it leads us to make a

[3:27]decision to be faithful or not faithful so here this surah was

[3:33]revealed in mecca and from what we have been mentioning most of

[3:37]the surahs in jose amma in the end of the quran the

[3:41]majority of them were revealed in mecca and one of the features

[3:46]of the meccan surahs is that they were short they were easy

[3:50]to memorize they rhyme why because going out in front of the

[3:58]pagans of mecca and in order to get the message across really

[4:03]quick really fast and efficient the words have to be poetic the

[4:09]words have to be short and easily memorizable for example so this

[4:19]is very easy to memorize but you're tawheed and your belief and

[4:24]god is summarized in this very short surah in the quran and

[4:27]this is why surah is equivalent according to the hadith to one

[4:31]third of the quran so now surah tatarak it's highly recommended to

[4:37]recite it and the surah begins bismillahim by the sky the sky

[4:48]we talked about the sky in the previous and the previous of

[4:53]the previous surahs what does that mean a hammer what do they

[5:02]call a hammer in the arabic proper language or matraka arakis and

[5:08]lebanese probably say chakuch right but mataraka is the is the official

[5:13]language so is something that you that you um yeah you hit

[5:21]with or if someone is walking tarak you're making footsteps they would

[5:29]refer in the arabic language they would refer to the visitor at

[5:41]make a sound knock on the door so tarak you're you're knocking

[5:46]on the door this is tarak now allah refers to one of

[5:53]the signs of god the star as tarak but before that imam

[5:56]ali alayhi salaam he has one day one of the hypocrites one

[6:02]of the monaficient by the name of al-ashath this family was a

[6:08]very wicked family they participated in the murder of imam al-hassan and

[6:11]they participated in the murder of muslim ibn aqil and they participated

[6:15]in the murder of imam al-hussein on the day of this man

[6:21]he wanted to bribe imam ali he wanted to bribe imam ali

[6:27]he was the father he comes to imam ali alayhi salaam and

[6:31]he's carrying a sweet a dish he comes to the imam in

[6:38]the middle of the night and he wants to give it to

[6:40]him now imam salaam is not one to be fooled so he

[6:45]tells him what is this is this zakat is the sadaka sadaka

[6:50]we can't take it's a gift you're trying to bribe me right

[6:53]so he says in najal balaga he says he's talking about someone

[7:05]who came and he tried to bring a sweet but it was

[7:09]a poisonous sweet not that it was actually it was poison in

[7:12]the sweet but he's trying to say he was trying to bribe

[7:16]his intentions were not pure maybe someone comes and gives you something

[7:19]it's not poison but the intentions are poisonous the intentions are toxic

[7:24]therefore it acts in the same way so imam allah is what

[7:45]is it referring to allah describes in the quran and what is

[7:54]this what makes you know what is this nightcomer allah is telling

[8:08]us exactly what the target is it is the star of piercing

[8:11]brightness at night when you see the star when you see a

[8:17]shining star and you look at it it's as if it's knocking

[8:21]it's it's coming so fast it's so bright it's as if it

[8:26]it takes your attention so that's why it's referred to as the

[8:29]night comer it comes at night it becomes visible and it displays

[8:35]the light at night now what star is this the mufasirin of

[8:40]the quran they have different opinions one opinion says it's the north

[8:45]star when you look up you see the north star this is

[8:47]a star that is probably brighter than other stars so it captivates

[8:53]the attention takes the attention of people another opinion says it's a

[8:57]shooting star because the shooting star when you see it it really

[9:01]takes your attention and it's you see it at night now now

[9:06]we don't see that many shooting stars because there's so much light

[9:10]but imagine if there was no light there was no electricity at

[9:12]night you would probably see several shooting stars a night so the

[9:23]star that is illuminating the star that is piercing and brightness and

[9:29]another opinion says it is zohal johal is saturn saturn the planet

[9:35]it's very far away but you could see it and sometimes you

[9:40]could see it shining you could see it shining so some of

[9:44]they say it is now whatever it may be allah subhanahu ta'ala

[9:50]why is god talking about this the same reason allah says the

[9:58]same reason allah does an oath throughout the quran allah does an

[10:06]oath allah doesn't need to say wallah listen we say this allah

[10:10]subhanahu ta'ala does an oath by his creation washington typically when someone

[10:30]does an oath what does that mean that means that they want

[10:35]to say something important allah subhanahu ta'ala does qasem an oath in

[10:41]the quran in order to say something important what is that important

[10:45]thing that allah wants to say we're going to go to it

[11:00]allah says in the quran there is no soul without a vigilant

[11:06]angel recording everything in kulunapsen half of every soul every living being

[11:17]has someone watching it don't ever think that for some time in

[11:25]your life you could be all alone and no one is watching

[11:29]you allah subhanahu ta'ala has placed angels to watch us who are

[11:34]these two angels you have two angels they're on your shoulders they're

[11:41]recording everything they're recording everything you are doing allah subhanahu ta'ala has

[11:47]an angel on your right they're ordered to record everything good that

[11:54]you do they record it and there's an angel who is ordered

[11:59]to record everything bad that you do now allah not allah has

[12:04]given them strict instructions allah tells them if someone makes the intention

[12:08]to do good write down for him but if someone makes the

[12:13]intention to do bad don't write down for him and furthermore when

[12:18]someone does bad allah tells them don't write down yet wait wait

[12:22]one hour two hours three hours seven hours wait and then write

[12:28]down what this person did so that maybe we give this person

[12:30]the chance to do tawba the chance to do is the chance

[12:35]to return to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in kullunifs kiraman katabin there's

[12:53]the angels that write down their job is to record you did

[12:56]good they record it you did bad they record it and on

[13:01]the day of judgment everyone will have that whole book brought for

[13:05]them you read your book on the day of judgment you be

[13:24]your own judge you look at your actions you see your whole

[13:30]life playing like a movie in front of you the good and

[13:32]the bad this is why of course these angels are watching the

[13:38]recording where allah says [Music] but of course even if the angels

[13:48]are not watching today in our lives sometimes if people are watching

[13:51]me i'm careful if there's cameras i'm careful but when there's no

[13:54]one watching me some people they become worse than animals some people

[14:00]they lose their humanity some people they lose their akhlaq they lose

[14:03]everything because no one's watching them we have to keep in mind

[14:11]that even if the angels miss something which they don't allah is

[14:14]above them and he is watching everything allah is the judge and

[14:17]the witness this is there's so many witnesses there's these angels that

[14:43]are witnessing my my hands and my body is also witnessing the

[14:48]body who's going to witness on the day of judgment so is

[15:10]there is there is there escape from the justice of god there

[15:16]is no escape from the government of allah so now when kul

[15:25]lunaps it means angels recording your actions of course allah sends angels

[15:30]to protect you as well means to protect so the angels allah

[15:37]subhanahu ta'ala sends angels to protect us he would be with the

[15:49]prophet protecting him and the menin also have angels protecting us sometimes

[15:55]you know they say this person's an angel someone protected me there

[16:00]is really angels that are protecting us in the battle of badr

[16:05]the angels came down descended and they protected the muslims and they

[16:09]and they were defending the muslims in the battle of badr the

[16:12]angels entered into the battlefield and similarly when you're driving when you're

[16:18]walking when you're going outside there could be angels protecting you and

[16:22]the hadith says the one who recites i tul corsi you know

[16:28]i told kursiy verse 255 of surat al-baqarah the one who recites

[16:33]i till kursi once allah one angel to protect this person you

[16:39]recite it twice allah sends two angels to protect you you recite

[16:44]it three times allah sends three angels to protect you and then

[16:49]when you recite it four times allah tells the angels leave this

[16:54]person i will protect him allah will protect you so allah sends

[16:59]angels to protect you this is why if you're driving as soon

[17:04]as you turn on the car the first thing you should do

[17:07]have it memorized teach your children i remember when i first got

[17:12]my driver's license my father every time as soon or my mother

[17:15]as soon as they talked to me did i title course did

[17:17]you read it did you read they keep insisting to the recitation

[17:27]believe in god if you believe that allah not allah has power

[17:30]and authority over our lives then allah does protect so make it

[17:59]like we observe in the skies and the stars and the we

[18:05]have to also observe ourselves what were you created from and he

[18:32]of course the surah is talking about the process of reproduction and

[18:37]how the sperm and the egg they meet and the child and

[18:46]the baby is conceived so the embryo is conceived so allah says

[18:51]in the quran from a fluid that gushes out very quick and

[18:58]emerging from between the backbone and the ribs now here the mufassirin

[19:07]they've given so many opinions so many opinions some say the back

[19:14]of the body the the the backbone and are the ribs so

[19:20]the the whole idea is that this human being is created from

[19:25]something that is in the hands of allah subhana tala allah subhanahu

[19:28]ta'ala brings a new creation a new being and it takes nine

[19:37]months from conception to a new life being born a new life

[19:40]someone with eyes and legs and ears and nose and mouth and

[19:47]feelings they cry they have emotions where does this come from this

[19:51]is from allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in s today some people they

[20:11]say how can i be recreated how can allah subhanahu ta'ala recreate

[20:14]someone on the day of judgment they used to tell the quran

[20:20]says they pass by the ivan they pass by bones in the

[20:23]cemetery he says who's going to bring back this bones bring back

[20:32]together and bring someone back to life allah says clearly the one

[20:38]who created it originally from nothing is able to recreate it again

[20:42]what's harder to create something from nothing or to create something that

[20:48]the parts are already there of course creating from nothing is more

[20:51]difficult and allah is able to do that so allah is telling

[20:56]us able to recreate this once again and there are several verses

[21:11]in the quran that remind us of this if you doubt the

[21:21]bath that people will come back to god for allah says if

[21:30]you doubt the bath we created you from soil and then from

[21:34]a blood clot so why are you how is it going to

[21:38]be difficult for allah to recreate once again you are nothing to

[21:57]be remembered allah created you out of nothing so allah is definitely

[21:59]able to recreate you again this is why one of our core

[22:04]beliefs is believing in judgment day believing everyone will come back to

[22:10]life everyone for they leave from their graves allah will judge everyone

[22:14]just like allah creates the plants and everything out of nothing allah

[22:20]is able to rebring us once again now now the surah goes

[22:27]on to describe the day of judgment one of the features of

[22:29]the day of judgment the day when secrets will be put out

[22:40]on trial the day of judgment there's no secrets in this life

[22:43]probably many people have secrets between the husband and the wife and

[22:47]between governments and between corporations and families and cousins and pr there's

[22:53]many secrets the day of judgment there's no secrets is from the

[23:01]word bellwa what does belwa mean bella bella means a test why

[23:09]does allah say yo because when someone is tested the truth comes

[23:15]out the reality comes out when you're tested so the day of

[23:18]judgment everyone will be tested and the truth comes out that's it

[23:23]no more secrets one of the companions of rasulullah the secrets that

[23:49]people are going to be tested with on the day of judgment

[23:55]your secrets that is going to be exposed and tested on the

[24:00]day of judgement are your deeds he says these are the duties

[24:10]your prayer your fasting your zakat you're with your ghost at the

[24:31]end of the day there's no police force enforcing whether i pray

[24:36]whether i do although or whether i fast right now someone could

[24:39]say i'm fasting but they go they open the fridge and they

[24:43]eat right so it's a secret why because only god knows about

[24:49]it it's only god knows whether you're really praying or not now

[24:53]maybe some parents they come and they say oh my dear son

[24:56]my daughter pray pray but at the end of the day the

[24:58]son or the daughter they could not pray they could fool the

[25:02]parents but can they fool god can we fool allah you can't

[25:05]fool god this is why yahweh sarah but that day for allah

[25:14]that day there is neither power or any helper to help you

[25:19]that's it maybe in this life i cheat the system i lie

[25:23]i steal i do things and i probably could say i'm from

[25:25]this family i have money i have a good lawyer i could

[25:29]get out of it can we get out of it on the

[25:32]day of judgment and by the once again there's qasim once again

[25:42]and by the sky with the recurring cycles raja in the arabic

[25:48]language they refer to the rain as why because the rain has

[25:54]a cycle the rain doesn't just come from the sky rain starts

[25:58]off by evaporation of the water that is in the ocean or

[26:03]in a river or in the lake it evaporates and it becomes

[26:06]rain once again so there's a cycle wasa this is one opinion

[26:12]another opinion talks about the whole cycle the whole system of the

[26:15]in the universe the earth revolving around the sun the sun it

[26:22]has its own system the moon around the earth was and the

[26:28]earth which splits when does the earth split it splits when the

[26:33]water comes down on it the water you have a dead earth

[26:38]it's a desert the water comes down on it and it splits

[26:40]it and from the earth you have trees and plants splitting the

[26:46]earth so that is because allah says just like allah gives life

[26:58]to a dead land allah will give life to people on the

[27:00]day of judgment this is not the quran the quran is telling

[27:11]you this is a decisive word this is not a joke do

[27:17]not take the quran lightly some people the kuffar they devise evil

[27:25]plans against the prophets against the muslims against god in nahum they

[27:35]forget that god also has a plan sometimes some people they say

[27:40]look at these enemies of god look at how many plans and

[27:42]plots they're planning against the muslims yes god also plans just like

[27:48]they plan god is planning so bear with the disbelievers o prophet

[28:00]let them be for just a little while allah allah yum god

[28:09]sometimes allows things to last sometimes we look at an oppressor we

[28:14]say why does this oppressor continue allah allows it to last but

[28:18]allah does not forget allah eventually a day will come where justice

[28:22]will prevail and that is the day where allah subhanahu ta'ala his

[28:26]power will be enforced over everything and everyone else is
