[0:02]assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatu my dear brothers and sisters and
[0:06]dear viewers of imam hussain tv and i'm here to give you
[0:09]a quick update as to what's been happening here in the studio
[0:13]especially the studio baab al qibla now from the update you last
[0:18]saw this here is just a few days before muharram fourteen forty
[0:22]three twenty twenty one and you can see that we've got metal
[0:26]you've got the ceiling being done and you've got lots of things
[0:29]the walls have been done and inshaallah my dear brothers and sisters
[0:33]this studio will be finished in the quickest time possible this studio
[0:37]will be used for the atmosphere here in karbala for live shows
[0:41]documentaries tv shows that we have prerecorded and inshaallah your donations will
[0:47]help go towards everything being built here for this new building and
[0:51]especially the studios and inshaallah we will receive your donations to help
[0:55]complete this building aisha's hostility towards imam al hassan and imam al
[3:46]hussain could most clearly be seen in the funeral of imam al
[3:52]hassan in medina indeed this particular funeral was one of the saddest
[3:59]events in islamic history for a number of reasons not only had
[4:03]the community lost the grandson of the holy prophet peace be upon
[4:07]him and his family but the behavior of aisha on that particular
[4:11]day leaves a lot to be desired indeed a person would never
[4:15]expect that somebody who is so closely related to the holy prophet
[4:20]peace be upon him and his family would met out so much
[4:24]hate and hostility as well as show clear resentment of imam al
[4:29]hassan through her war of words with the brothers of imam al
[4:33]hassan unfortunately you find even in our communities many people don't know
[4:41]about the funeral of imam al hassan generally and specifically many are
[4:47]not aware of exactly what took place you find within our communities
[4:52]if you were to ask people what was said by aisha at
[4:56]the funeral and what was the reply of imam al hussain on
[5:01]that day i can guarantee you that many in our communities would
[5:05]not know what imam al hussain said on that day if they
[5:09]did then their tashayyah in some cases would be completely different because
[5:13]you find that unfortunately in our communities there are many shia who
[5:18]believe they know tashayyah without actually having read the primary sources of
[5:23]tashayyah if you were to ask somebody what are the primary sources
[5:27]of tashayyah as an example there are some pieces of literature which
[5:31]are primary sources or there are some works of some of the
[5:35]classical scholars which i can guarantee you many have not opened they
[5:39]either haven't opened them because their books in some cases are only
[5:43]available in arabic or only available in urdu or only available in
[5:48]farsi so for example with a work like al kafi of sheikh
[5:53]al kulaini while it is seen as a prime text within shi'a
[5:58]literature many shi'a households would not have opened al kafi some shi'a
[6:03]households don't even have al kafi as in you'll find that the
[6:07]majority of shia households in the world will never even have heard
[6:10]of usul al kafi faroo al kafi rawat al kafi they will
[6:13]not have heard of these in their upbringing or in their madrasa
[6:18]curriculum in our madrasa curriculum when many of us grow up many
[6:23]of us would not have come across al kafi or the fatih
[6:26]or ta'idib al haqam or al stabzar these four canonical works it
[6:31]means therefore that for many of us we assume we know ahlul
[6:36]bayt or we assume we know what is allowed what's not in
[6:43]terms of love for ahlul bayt and dissociation from the enemies of
[6:48]ahlul bayt but how can i know when i myself have never
[6:51]opened those primary sources in many cases these primary sources have been
[6:57]left to the houses have been left to the seminaries and don't
[7:01]become something which you teach within your house therefore had someone read
[7:05]al kafi they would have seen what imam al hussain on that
[7:09]day thought of abu bakr what he thought of omar what he
[7:14]thought of aisha what he thought of their behaviors what he thought
[7:18]of their relationship with rasulullah it's not like we're going to bring
[7:24]something from say bihar al anwar bihar al anwar not only may
[7:28]one look at certain segments or parts of bihar which like any
[7:32]book of hadith in fact are open to scrutiny and open to
[7:36]discussion but bihar is only written a few 100 years ago whereas
[7:40]al kafi is compiled over a thousand years ago if you quote
[7:44]something from bihar someone will say to you that you're quoting from
[7:48]something that was written only a few 100 ago okay what if
[7:52]we quote from al kafi imam al hussain alaihi salaam's opinion of
[7:57]tawallah and tabara or imam al hussain alaihi salaam's opinion of the
[8:01]first khalifa of the second khalifa of for example aisha because sometimes
[8:07]when members of our communities hold strong opinions on these issues straight
[8:12]away they are attacked that this is not what shi'ism is babu
[8:15]who made shi'ism you made it because you sometimes are creating a
[8:19]tashayyuk which suits you not the actual teachings of ahlul bayt how
[8:26]many times do we even create an imam ali that suits us
[8:30]many people will say you know imam ali how kind he was
[8:32]and how compassionate he was and how soft hearted he was and
[8:36]he was a man of peace tell you what jamal saffin there's
[8:40]not much peace there when he wanted to be ruthless with that
[8:43]sword do not get in the way but the way that we
[8:46]build an imam ali or an imam al hassan or an imam
[8:51]al hussein is that we build that which suits what we want
[8:56]them to be so therefore if imam al hussain is strong in
[9:00]his words against aisha as he was at the funeral of imam
[9:04]al hassan then you'll find that that imam al hussain is not
[9:09]the social justice campaigner who's trying to save the earth suddenly it
[9:14]becomes an imam al hussain who's ferocious in his words against aisha
[9:21]against abu bak against omar something some shia today you'll turn around
[9:26]and they'll say to you that we should be like our imams
[9:30]our imams never in their life did they disrespect anybody what do
[9:35]you mean never in their life it means you've never read al
[9:37]kafi come back with me let's go back and read al kafi
[9:41]and see what imam al hussein said about his brother's janazah if
[9:47]i as a normal muslim am invited tomorrow to someone's funeral i'm
[9:52]told that so and so passed away in the community when i'd
[9:55]come to that funeral what would i do i'd pay my condolences
[9:58]i'd stand there on the side i'd read of surat al fatiha
[10:02]i wouldn't cause uproar i wouldn't cause a mess if someone in
[10:06]our community dies who was prominent you'll see a lot more people
[10:09]attend a lot more respect if someone who's an imam of a
[10:12]mosque dies for example people will remember the years of service that
[10:15]person gave if someone who is a mujdahid dies there will be
[10:20]even more people if someone who's a marajah dies you'll see people
[10:24]who show the highest respect sadly sayyid al shabaabahil jannah the two
[10:30]masters of paradise both of them their funerals were funerals where they
[10:35]weren't shown an inch of respect at all because when a person
[10:39]looks at imam al hassan funeral i guarantee you if muslims around
[10:44]the world understood aisha's behavior on that day forget marwan ibn al
[10:49]hakam marwan we know is rubbish there someone like marwan we don't
[10:53]lose any sleep over someone like marwan we know his history someone
[10:58]like aisha who people adore and admire in the muslim world that
[11:03]behavior that she displayed on that day which resulted in 70 arrows
[11:08]on the kefan of imam al hassan alaihi salam because imam al
[11:13]hassan we don't mention him in our majalis if you ask many
[11:16]people who's your role model they say imam alir imam al hussain
[11:19]what happened to imam al hassan by the way in the middle
[11:22]imam al hassan in strength none is like him in knowledge none
[11:25]is like him in bravery none is like him in wisdom none
[11:29]is like him but you found that the same imam al hassan
[11:33]who the prophet would say al hasan minni hasan is from me
[11:36]people always say hussain minni people don't mention that the prophet also
[11:41]said al hasan when the prophet says he is from me how
[11:47]dare someone disrespect him on that day how dare someone order that
[11:52]his funeral is led in a different direction that incident is one
[11:58]of the saddest in the history of our religion and it highlights
[12:02]aisha's hostility and hate towards imam al hussain as well as imam
[12:09]al hassan alaihi salaam let us tonight examine this in the following
[12:13]stages number one why did aisha hate imam al hassan alaihi salaam
[12:18]so much and which moment in the battle of jamal especially meant
[12:24]that she had a severe hatred for him number two when imam
[12:29]al hassan was poisoned and in his final moments what did he
[12:33]tell imam al hussain about what imam was about to see number
[12:39]three when imam al hussein was taking imam al hassan's body near
[12:44]the grave of rasulullah what was his intention behind doing this number
[12:49]four how did aisha find out that imam al hassan's grave or
[12:55]his janazah is going near the grave of the prophet number five
[12:59]what did she do at that moment and why does one of
[13:03]the family of ahlul bayt say to aisha the famous lines what
[13:13]does he mean by these lines number six how does aisha tell
[13:16]imam al hussain take your son away from my house and how
[13:23]dare you violate the privacy of rasulallah after that how does imam
[13:30]al hussain alayhi salaam make clear it's you and your father who
[13:34]violated the prophet's privacy and how does imam al hussain make clear
[13:38]that there's none who comes near imam al hasan and how then
[13:41]does imam al hussain make clear your father and his farooq are
[13:46]the cause of all harassment of rasulallah how then does aisha reply
[13:53]to imam al hussain by highlighting that your whole family are a
[13:57]quarrelsome bunch get out of here how does imam al hussain end
[14:01]up burying imam al hassan with arrows all over his body and
[14:05]if arrows were all over the body of hassan and aisha could
[14:09]order these things to happen what stops it from happening to hassan's
[14:13]brother on the plains of karbala let's examine this and dissect this
[14:18]topic in complete depth why does aisha have so much hate towards
[14:23]the masters of the youth of paradise even that sentence that i've
[14:26]mentioned logically speaking if you hate the masters of the youth of
[14:29]paradise it really doesn't help you on the day of judgement because
[14:33]if they are the masters then you have a major problem when
[14:35]it comes to paradise she had already had hate without a doubt
[14:39]as we explored a few nights earlier for fatima al zara a
[14:44]lot of jealousy was there for imam ali it was blatant because
[14:48]she led an army against imam ali at the battle of jamal
[14:52]but what has that got to do with imam al hassan and
[14:55]imam al hussain where does the hate for those two come the
[15:00]hate for those two comes a because those two were with their
[15:04]dad on that day and if i'm fighting an army that means
[15:08]that i don't like the people in that army imam al hassan
[15:11]and imam al hussain you know the eyes of many muslims in
[15:13]the world they see them as kids you ask many non shia
[15:16]they'll say oh oh they're the the grandkids of the prophet they
[15:19]never imagined them growing up imam al hussain and imam al hasan
[15:23]on the day of jamal were in there how old they were
[15:26]in for example around the age of what in their early thirties
[15:30]let's say at the time of the battle of jamal so it's
[15:33]not like that they were people who were very young inexperienced imam
[15:38]al hasan on the day of jamal was about 33 and imam
[15:41]al hussain was about 32 on the day of jamal something very
[15:45]interesting normally at battles what's the main banner of a battle normally
[15:49]a flag you see someone who's a flag bearer or an alamdar
[15:53]as we say that person is the banner of that particular battle
[15:57]on that day the banner was the camel aisha's camel literally imam
[16:02]described it as shaitaan imam amir al mumineen if one reads the
[16:08]manaqib of ibn shahar ashob mannaqib is a great text for us
[16:14]to understand shia heritage in that text you found that there is
[16:19]a description of that camel and what was the importance of that
[16:24]camel on that day imam literally referred to that camel as shaitaan
[16:29]the poor camel isn't shaitaan what was the camel done wrong but
[16:33]the symbol and what it represented because what is fitna shaitaan causes
[16:40]people to kill but fitnah is worse than the killing shaitaan causes
[16:45]fitnah between us and our communities i don't like this person i
[16:48]hate this person i don't wanna be near this person he makes
[16:51]us have dissension amongst each other so that camel on that day
[16:54]imam ali said kill that camel that camel is shaitan while that
[16:59]camel was being surrounded and who surrounded it bani al buqba bani
[17:04]al buqba they were a ferocious group these were proper warriors they
[17:09]were surrounding aisha's camel on the day of jamal one of the
[17:14]best works to read on the battle of jamal sheikh al mufid's
[17:17]work on the battle of jamal gives you wonderful insight onto the
[17:21]battle of jamal you found that that men of dubbah they were
[17:25]a group honestly when one of them would be killed the other
[17:28]would hold the camel of aisha and another would be killed and
[17:31]another would hold the battle of the camel of aisha they would
[17:33]not let go why because while that camel was there then they
[17:37]knew very well that means that we're still in the ascendancy the
[17:41]battle's not over what happened was imam noticing this was happening amir
[17:46]al mumineen gave the spear to muhammad ibn al hanafiyah his son
[17:51]imam ali has a number of wives of course fatah ibn zahra
[17:55]when she was alive she was his only wife and then when
[17:58]she died he married the likes of for example asma bin umayyiz
[18:02]he married the likes of khawla bin jafar who gave him muhammad
[18:06]ibn al hanafiyah and later he marries albanin you found khawla bin
[18:10]jafar's son muhammad ibn al hanafiyah imam gave him the spear he
[18:14]said to him that camel kill it finish it that camel falls
[18:18]jamal's done muhammad ibn hanafiyah was a warrior but ben uduppa'a not
[18:23]a joke these tribes they had their love not only for the
[18:29]wife of the prophet they saw her as a symbol but there
[18:32]was also an immense hatred for ali dating back many years muhammad
[18:38]ibn al hanafiyyah fought as much as he could he came back
[18:41]couldn't he tried his hardest he was fighting he couldn't get through
[18:45]bani abu bakr the moment he was returning imam al hassan took
[18:48]the spear from him imam al hassan took the spear from muhammad
[18:52]ibn al hanafiyah all of a sudden imam al hassan went towards
[18:56]the camel single handedly abu bakr are surrounding the camel he went
[19:00]through them the hadith mentions and he came and he put down
[19:03]the camel because normally the names who are mentioned as those who
[19:07]made sure the camel fell is imam al hassan and malik al
[19:10]ashtar imam al hassan went through the opposition got to that camel
[19:16]he could have easily turned around and said you know what the
[19:18]wife of the prophet is on the camel or this camel i
[19:21]should just leave it straight spear in and he finished the camel
[19:26]of aisha the moment that camel fell jamal was over because he
[19:29]had pierced through not only the tribe that was the biggest tribe
[19:33]but he had also left a dent in the opposition with their
[19:37]banner imagine known alam abel fad would not let go of his
[19:40]alam because he didn't want the rest of the family of imam
[19:44]al hussain to feel that now they are in trouble but when
[19:49]abel fad's flag fell imam al hussain said now my back has
[19:55]been broken at the same thing in jamal that camel fell the
[19:59]backbone of that army was down the ground muhammad ibn hanafiyyah looked
[20:04]at imam ali at the moment the camel fell from imam al
[20:07]hussain and he looked and he was a bit embarrassed that he
[20:10]couldn't do it and imam al hassan could and imam ali said
[20:14]to him don't be embarrassed why he said he is the son
[20:18]of muhammad and you are the son of ali he said with
[20:24]people like you you're my son but him he has the line
[20:27]of prophets he that's where he's from there's a difference between the
[20:31]two of you in reality what's imam ali saying you're my son
[20:36]but he's fatima's son your mother and his mother there is no
[20:41]comparison between the two of you he said to him muhammad do
[20:45]not worry you are my son but he's the son of rasulullah
[20:49]didn't rasulullah keep on saying that's my son that's my boy look
[20:52]at imam al hassan on the battlefield and look at the imam
[20:55]al hassan we created in our mosques in our mosques which imam
[21:01]al hassan did we create weak doesn't want to fight not brave
[21:05]not powerful then you haven't read your history if you've read your
[21:10]history you'll know the same way imam ali used to say when
[21:14]things got tight and difficult we'd go behind rasulallah likewise imam al
[21:20]hussain with imam al hasan things are tough we go with imam
[21:22]al hasan imam al hasan on the battlefield nan was nim who
[21:27]built up hatred for him at this moment aisha how dare he
[21:32]he put the killer blow in her at jammel and that's why
[21:35]you find some of our shia in their hope for being apologetic
[21:39]you'll see them saying but you know what imam ali forgave her
[21:42]after the battle of jannah of course non shia love this line
[21:45]for non shia this is jannah this line because for non shia
[21:50]what do they love the idea that you know what but you
[21:53]know we we know she caused the death of it's you only
[21:56]about 25,000 people you know it happens you can have a day
[21:59]where twenty five thousand people die these things happen of course in
[22:03]humanity and we know that she fought imam ali and imam al
[22:07]hassan and imam al hussain and just you know let's not forget
[22:10]that on the side of imam ali were also sahaba like ibn
[22:12]abbas or people like amar bin yasir so if we get all
[22:16]of this and they ask us a shia why do you guys
[22:20]not revere i don't have an i came to this world i'm
[22:27]seeing a man who the prophet said he is with the haq
[22:30]and the haq is with him which is already enough for me
[22:32]but when i see someone fighting him and fighting the companions and
[22:36]causing death and at the end the only thing shia by the
[22:40]way some shia and non shia is to say but you can't
[22:42]you can't say anything because because you know what because you i
[22:45]said what what what is it he said because the imam ali
[22:47]forget imam ali didn't forgive anyone there's no forgiveness from imam ali
[22:52]imam ali here lady stays in basra for a few days tries
[22:56]to overstay welcome send her back quick send her back towards medina
[22:59]that's it if she truly what is one of the conditions of
[23:03]tolban if now someone drinks what's one of the conditions of tawbah
[23:07]is that you don't do the same act again one of the
[23:10]conditions of is that i don't do the act again not only
[23:15]should there be regret for example but i don't do the act
[23:20]again but i don't do it again there's someone but they do
[23:24]the act again the week after there's someone they regret but they
[23:29]never do the act again if aisha truly had asked for forgiveness
[23:34]from the emir for what was done forget her feelings when she
[23:38]found out he got killed forget those feelings her behavior at the
[23:42]janazah of imam al hassan is something i guarantee you every listener
[23:47]who's listening to my majlis tonight would not have done and they
[23:50]are not the wife or the brother or the husband or the
[23:53]cousin or the son or the father of rasulullah they have nothing
[23:57]to do with isma what she did on that day was the
[24:00]biggest ihana biggest disrespect to the family of rasulallah who only only
[24:10]thirty nine forty forty one forty two years earlier an ayah was
[24:14]revealed purifying them and keeping away all sin from them as the
[24:19]holiest household in islam and after that the incident of mubahala where
[24:24]the prophet took them as the holiest and now when it comes
[24:26]to their funeral us as muslims us as muslims look at our
[24:31]history muhammad's own grandchildren could not have a proper janazah why what
[24:37]happened on that day imam al hassan when he realized the poison
[24:40]was killing him told imam al hussain make sure there's no bloodshed
[24:43]at my janazah not any bloodshed why did imam al hassan say
[24:48]this because he knew that the type of people are gonna try
[24:51]and antagonize a imam al hussein b abel fad ab al fad
[24:58]was there yes hazrat abbas was there as well c muhammad ibn
[25:02]al hanafiyah he was there as well it's your own brother's janaza
[25:06]on your brother's janaza most people go out of their way to
[25:10]help the janaza go smoothly imam al hussain when imam al hassan
[25:16]said that to him imam al hussain said i submit to your
[25:19]command my brother because for imam al hussain imam al hassan says
[25:22]imam where is this written what i'm about to quote is it
[25:27]written in some book fifty years ago written seventy years ago two
[25:31]hundred years ago this is in al kafi of sheikh al kulaini
[25:34]on the chapter of the designation of imam al hussain obviously if
[25:39]imam al hassan is dying so the chapter would be what on
[25:42]imam al hussain becoming imam in that chapter muhammad bin muslim imam
[25:48]al baqar alaihi salam narrates so this is coming to us from
[25:52]big names huge names imam al baqar tells us the story imam
[25:59]al baqar says imam al hussain when imam al hassan died took
[26:06]led the funeral prayer of imam al hassan imam leads the funeral
[26:11]prayer of the imam where there was this area where they used
[26:16]to read the janazah prayers the and then imam al hussain takes
[26:24]imam al hassan's janazah by the grave of rasulullah why to bury
[26:34]him next to the prophet no no no you know how we
[26:37]in our communities there's something we love we love if our that's
[26:57]exactly what we learned from ahlul bayt imam al hassan didn't want
[27:02]himself to be buried next to rasulullah he probably has someone else
[27:07]he wants to be really near but you found that imam al
[27:10]hassan knowing who's buried there at the time imam al hassan where
[27:15]did he want he had wanted somewhere else but he wanted his
[27:19]janazah to pass the grave of rasulullah so he renews his covenant
[27:24]with the holy prophet upon him his family the moment imam al
[27:27]hussain came by the grave aisha used to have certain people who
[27:31]used to keep an eye out on what's happening around medina suddenly
[27:37]and in the hadith the name is not what's given what we're
[27:43]given is the one with the two eyes you know when you
[27:48]say that person's my two eyes in that area you don't give
[27:51]the guy's name but he's like my two eyes in that area
[27:54]yep means my spy in that area keeps an eye out on
[27:57]what's going on in the community what happened he came to her
[28:02]he said this is what's happening what did she do straight away
[28:06]she rode a mule with a saddle the first lady in islamic
[28:11]history to ride a mule with a saddle to ride some with
[28:14]the saddle for us sometimes you'll see in legal texts in terms
[28:19]of ladies without going too deep into it that horse riding or
[28:24]riding on the horses and so on and so forth sometimes there
[28:28]are these discussions that someone who hasn't lost their innocence riding on
[28:33]these things can result in certain things which don't make it recommended
[28:37]okay so the first lady to sit on a saddle on a
[28:42]mule she rode it she came out and she called out the
[28:49]following lines get your son out of my house by the way
[28:59]these are only four words you agree i can break them down
[29:02]into six lectures firstly your son remove your son why not say
[29:13]for example the son of rasoolallah why not say the son of
[29:19]ali that i can understand we'll never come out of someone with
[29:22]that much son of fatima no nahob nakum your son get him
[29:32]out and beiti from my house wait wait wait last i checked
[29:36]you want the only wife but it does help if dad got
[29:41]in if dad got in it really helps but also zaynab that's
[29:50]her house salama that's her house actually even that area is not
[29:54]actual house the holy prophet used to have his room when abu
[29:58]bakr came in they extended it into aisha's room and aisha is
[30:02]one of let's say nine wives we agree prophets leave behind inheritance
[30:08]or not the prophets leave behind inheritance big problem there because you
[30:21]have to make up your mind fiqh wise do they or they
[30:23]don't fadek no her house yes i don't get it because if
[30:31]you're saying my house but i thought prophets don't leave behind inheritance
[30:34]what they leave behind is sadaqah father knowledge because people always ask
[30:42]the question how comes abu bakr and omar are buried next to
[30:46]the prophet this shows the greatness of the two but by that
[30:50]logic that means imam ali is not great because he's buried miles
[30:53]away but secondly they're buried because they are daughters hafsa and the
[30:59]other one's daughter aisha are wives of the prophet so they got
[31:01]their inheritance so they made sure their dads are there problem is
[31:06]that one eighth in islamic law goes to the widow but there's
[31:10]nine of you one eighth times one ninth is one over 72
[31:13]so really only their heads should be there this was muhammad al
[31:16]taq in his famous discussion with abu hanifa he said to him
[31:22]that you're saying to me they should be buried there he said
[31:24]yes he said why is it because of inheritance he said by
[31:26]full profit don't leave behind inheritance he said yes but one eight
[31:29]goes to the widow because these are widows he said okay one
[31:32]eight times one nine is one over 72 so how's the whole
[31:34]body there should be head and everything else should be given as
[31:37]space to anyone else well no problem she said take him out
[31:44]of my house how dare you violate the privacy of rasulullah sallallahu
[31:51]alaihi wa'alehi baba who are we talking to if you're talking to
[31:55]ammar you got every right to no problem you're talking to imam
[32:00]al hussein alayhi salam imam al hussein alayhi salam you say to
[32:07]him out wallah i ask any muslim watching my lectures and there
[32:11]are many open minded a person who says to imam al hussain
[32:14]get out of my house that's someone that you revere would you
[32:19]tell imam al hussain alaihi salam get out would you tell imam
[32:22]al hussain at any moment why do we repeat these lines may
[32:27]my mother and my father be sacrificed for you sayyid ashwada we
[32:31]will give everything for you get him out of my house out
[32:37]to sayyid ashwada to imam al hussain and those non shia out
[32:41]there who are listening who say but we love imam al hussein
[32:44]the problem is you love the one who you say is the
[32:49]grandson of prophet but also the one who insults him you love
[32:51]more how many hearts do we have as a human being i
[32:53]don't got a heart on my chest a heart under my chest
[32:56]a heart on my ankle a heart but i've got one heart
[32:58]in the body there are no two hearts in one body she
[33:03]said get out take your son imam al hasan has become son
[33:10]get your son out of my house how dare you violate the
[33:16]privacy of rasulullah she says this who replies imam al hussain many
[33:22]of us don't know about imam al hussain before karbala we know
[33:25]ten nights masha allah which is good because we see the love
[33:29]we have but how about the hussain before karbala imam al hussain
[33:35]alaihi salaam steps up at this moment what imam al hussain is
[33:40]about to say we have to raise a big question here is
[33:42]it sectarian or no if i say it amman al shawani is
[33:49]sectarian amman al shawani is causing hate amman al shawani bringing division
[33:53]you allah okay abba abdullah abba abdullah's so let's see what imam
[34:01]al hussain thinks of what aisha says to him he says to
[34:06]her by allah you and your father are the first to disregard
[34:12]and violate the privacy of rasulullah you and your father aisha daughter
[34:22]of abu bakr you and your father are the first to violate
[34:26]disregarding the privacy of the prophet peace be upon his family you
[34:30]brought people into his house who he did not want their nearness
[34:37]you will be held accountable for all of this by allah my
[34:42]brother ordered me to take the janazah to take it where to
[34:49]take it by the grave of his grandfather not to bury him
[34:53]there just to renew his covenant with him by allah oh aisha
[34:59]you should know that there is nobody who is as knowledgeable as
[35:05]my brother of allah and his prophets by allah oh aisha no
[35:11]nobody knows the ta'wil of what allah has revealed like my brother
[35:22]you quote oh verses of the quran for example quoting surah 33
[35:28]verse 53 o you who believe do not enter the house of
[35:37]the prophet until it's given you permission how many men did you
[35:41]allow to enter this house of course meaning her dad and her
[35:48]you know and the others you know the khulafah and so on
[35:54]there are i must admit some really baffling narrations when i read
[35:57]bukhari and muslim and other works i don't know how people are
[36:01]learning in the house i i'm not i really this one baffles
[36:05]me until today teaching companions firstly why is aisha teaching the companions
[36:13]rasul someone said because the prophet said take your your knowledge from
[36:17]aisha but but rasul would surely be a male male thing do
[36:22]you agree i don't get it but someone did say that she
[36:25]was covered and therefore it's not bad because if you're covered during
[36:30]gosol that the person cannot see you then it's okay but then
[36:34]defies the point because i don't know what to do in gosol
[36:36]because i can't even see you i i don't understand some of
[36:46]those traditions you know the the hustle being taught and the the
[36:50]breastfeeding traditions i don't understand these what's going on like you know
[36:55]these people asking questions anyway imam al hussain said you've allowed men
[37:02]into this house and if you were to say to me the
[37:06]eye of the quran oh you who believe do not raise your
[37:15]voices above the voice of the prophet then you were present with
[37:19]your father raising sounds louder and louder and the ayah of the
[37:25]quran where allah talks about the same those who lower their voices
[37:42]in the presence of rasulullah allah has examined their hearts to see
[37:48]if there's taqwa in it then if you and your father have
[37:51]raised your voices in the presence of allah and his prophet then
[37:54]that is a test of your taqwa by allah oh aisha listen
[38:00]to these lines your father and his farooq are the ones who
[38:05]harassed rasulullah notice he says by allah your father and his farooq
[38:12]not the farooq as you say sadiq and farooq are normally titles
[38:16]which are given to abu bakr and omar which imam ali by
[38:20]the way says and whoever claims this other than me and even
[38:27]whoever attributes this to other than me for example is a liar
[38:34]imam al hussein says to her oh ishabai allah your father and
[38:38]his farooq imam al hussein why are you causing trouble say imam
[38:45]al hussein why do you cause trouble why imam al hussein you
[38:50]bringing differences between the umayyah imam al hussein why imam al hussein
[38:54]why are you bringing up certain things you cannot talk about these
[38:57]things imam al hussein imam al hussein why imam al hussain is
[39:04]highlighting there is nothing wrong with academically discussing historically what took place
[39:12]we don't see imam al hussein for example maybe in these traditions
[39:16]other than imam al hussein saying very clearly by allah your father
[39:21]aisha and his farooq harassed the prophet disrespected the prophet peace be
[39:26]upon him and his family when imam al hussein had said all
[39:31]of this then after him who spoke and then imam said one
[39:34]last thing which was interesting he said by allah if my father
[39:40]if my brother had asked me to bury him next to the
[39:46]prophet then i would have blatantly done it and you could never
[39:50]get in my way if my brother had asked me to bury
[39:57]him next to the prophet and it was something that's not gone
[40:01]against allah there's not a chance that you would have gotten my
[40:06]way we i would have rubbed your nose and blatantly gone past
[40:11]it and buried him muhammad ibn hanafiyah was next to imam al
[40:15]hussain he said to her you aisha yoman ala barg yoman ala
[40:19]jemal o aisha one day on a mule and one day on
[40:24]a camel battle of jamal but well i don't know what's what
[40:30]do we have in islamic history a zoo or something one minute
[40:34]jamal one minute is going on he said to him what have
[40:44]you got to do with the issue of the fawatim of fatima's
[40:49]sons these are fatima's sons who are debating me what have you
[40:54]got to there isn't even an apology that sorry imam al hussain
[40:57]you know what i didn't mean to do not even a single
[41:00]apology on the contrary she looks at imam al what do you
[41:02]have to do with it into who into ibn al hanafiyah these
[41:05]are fatima's sons yaani asif speak to my hand you to which
[41:09]imam al hussein replies with a devastating reply he goes you tell
[41:14]him that we are the fawatim he has three fatima's in his
[41:17]lineage who imam al hussain mentions fatima bint imran fatima bint zaida
[41:27]and who's the third one who's the obvious fatima in the lineage
[41:30]of muhammad ibn al hanafiyah who if he's imam ali's son then
[41:34]which fatima is the obvious one that's in his lineage fatima bint
[41:37]assad imam ali's mom what she called so muhammad ibn al hanafiyah
[41:44]is imam ali's son who's his grandma you say to muhammad ibn
[41:49]hanifiya you say to him that you have got nothing to do
[41:56]with fawatim he has three fawatim in his line fawatim his fawatim
[42:00]in imran fawatim in assad you'd think at that moment she'd say
[42:06]i apologize about abdullah yes yeah surely someone who's got the audacity
[42:12]to talk to imam al hussain alaihi salaam in this way and
[42:20]again she says take him your son take him away for you
[42:35]are a quarreling group of people if today a muslim said imam
[42:41]al hussein is quarrelsome what would we do to this guy kafir
[42:44]i used to call him all sorts of names this person's a
[42:47]kafir this person's a all day when a person turns around and
[42:52]says means what you people love war you love trouble you love
[42:59]causing trouble between the ummah that was enough imam al hussain realized
[43:03]that when a person begins to talk like that about al muhammad
[43:07]then that is enough you don't continue to talk and you know
[43:11]when imam al hussain by the way had said when he had
[43:14]said that if i wanted to and my brother wanted to be
[43:16]buried near his grandfather's grave i would have done it what does
[43:19]he mean by that he said i could have easily told abel
[43:22]fad now finish all of them off let's go by the grave
[43:25]because abel fad took out his sword and imam al hussein said
[43:29]no no we will not lower ourselves and allow this blood shed
[43:34]that they want jamal was how many years before imam al hasan
[43:38]died about fourteen years before still there's a chance here that we
[43:42]can cause another issue their dad is no longer here imam al
[43:46]hussain said no my imam my brother said don't let blood be
[43:51]shed do you know how many arrows were shot on the body
[43:54]of imam al hassan 70 arrows 70 arrows were shot on the
[44:01]body of imam al hassan with marwan ibn al hakim arousing making
[44:07]sure he's rousing the people to shoot their arrows and there's imam
[44:12]al hussain one side abalfad another abalfad getting angry how dare they
[44:16]do this to my brother imam telling him to calm down muhammad
[44:20]ibn al hanafiyah until what did they do until they took imam
[44:23]al hassan's jannah as a way to jannah they took it to
[44:28]jannah having seen how the ummah had disrespected them by showering their
[44:34]arrows all over the coffin the burial site of imam al hasar
[44:39]islam i've seen muslims who have not given one thing back to
[44:42]islam their burial was easier than the family that gave everything back
[44:46]to the religion of islam and why jannat al baqiya what could
[44:50]be the reason of jannat al baqiya maybe just maybe it could
[44:54]be where his mother's buried and maybe he wanted to return back
[44:58]to where his mother or even his grandmother fatima ibn 'asad buried
[45:02]in jannat al baqiya you'd think that imam al hassan on the
[45:06]first level was he the first of the ahlul bayt to be
[45:09]in a difficult jannahza subhanallah fatima al azharai alaihi salam how many
[45:14]attended her funeral six seven eight handful imam emir al mumineen for
[45:24]ninety two years nobody knew where his grave was he died in
[45:30]the fortieth year after hijra ninety two years other than you know
[45:36]you've all read imam zain al habrin ziara of imam emir al
[45:39]mumin he is next to abu hamzat thamali on one occasion and
[45:46]he tells abu hamzah you know where we are he goes no
[45:48]he goes this is where emir al mumineen is buried read after
[45:51]me imagine why because the khawaraj had said if we find where
[45:55]his body is we will take his body out and burn it
[45:59]so in the night on the twenty first of shahar ramadan imam
[46:03]al hassan and imam al hussein buried their father secretly in the
[46:07]night ninety two years emir al mumineen nobody knew where his body
[46:13]was so you had was imam al hassan the first no secondly
[46:17]you look at jannat al bagheer today where allah breaks your heart
[46:20]because you'd think that that time that arrows were all over his
[46:24]body would be the last disrespect to him and subhanallah a hundred
[46:27]years ago they completely bombed jannahat al baghriyah why because in the
[46:34]mindset of for example the likes of muhammad ibn abdul wahab and
[46:38]then going back to ibn taymiyyah and others that this is all
[46:41]grave worshippers and therefore the best thing to do is to remove
[46:45]the that are there you know there used to be a day
[46:49]where there was a on his grave and there used to be
[46:52]a day where there was what where there was a on top
[46:57]of that and there used to be flocking to if you see
[47:02]the pictures of the past i'm talking the nineteenth century when the
[47:05]ottomans were ruling you see people flocking there was an alam there
[47:08]was a wari and people what are they saying when they get
[47:20]what are we saying when we shia go to these graves it
[47:22]wasn't just our shia there are non shia who go to these
[47:24]graves it's only one group of the muslims that says that this
[47:28]is all and so on and so forth so you found that
[47:33]jannatul baqi until today what is there and that's why one of
[47:36]the ulama says i saw imam al hassan and imam al hussain
[47:39]in my dream may allah grant us the chance to see them
[47:46]inshaallah one day he said i saw imam al hassan and imam
[47:51]al hussain in my dream he says i saw them talk to
[47:58]each other and they're both crying when they were talking and he
[48:03]says imam al hassan said to imam al hussein is it fair
[48:10]my brother is it fair that they poisoned me but that they
[48:15]beheaded you i got poisoned is it fair my brother is it
[48:21]fair in life i got poisoned but you got beheaded it's not
[48:26]fair i'd rather that was my head that was taken rather than
[48:30]yours but then he says imam al hussein replied back to him
[48:35]he said my brother is it fair is it fair that i
[48:39]have many zoo'ar coming to visit me but there are none to
[48:45]visit you subhanallah today in karbala night 12 for muharram how many
[48:52]zoo'ah are there in karbala now even after ashura when things get
[48:57]quieter it's still packed true he said that i saw imam al
[49:04]hussein say to him my brother is it fair my brother is
[49:06]it fair many zoo'ar come to visit me there are none to
[49:09]visit you tonight imagine put your heart there tonight empty empty is
[49:18]it fair my brother is it fair that there is a dari'h
[49:21]on top of my grave and there's only a rock on top
[49:25]of you is it fair my brother is it fair that there
[49:31]is a flag which guides people to my grave and there's nothing
[49:36]to guide people to you is it fair my brother is it
[49:41]fair that when my zoo'ar come to visit me they're welcomed but
[49:49]those who come towards you are kicked away and are forced away
[49:53]and are told this is a bid'ah and this is dalalah and
[49:56]so on and so forth then imam al hassan this alam says
[50:00]imam al hassan seeing imam al hassan's heart is broken at the
[50:05]way his brother is lonely in baghia he says imam al hassan
[50:09]says to him oh hussein do not worry there'll be a day
[50:13]they come and visit me and zayn al abedin muhammad al baghar
[50:19]jafar al saddiq and al baneen all so that they could hear
[50:25]the vibration of a broken rib in madinah allah subhanallah those lines
[50:31]they break the heart there'll be a day they'll come visit me
[50:36]and zayn al abidin because all these four imams are next to
[50:38]each other aren't they there'll be a day they'll come and visit
[50:42]me and they'll come and visit who zayn al abidin they'll come
[50:45]and visit muhammad al baqar and jafar al sadiq and they'll come
[50:48]and visit al beneen don't forget her all so that what so
[50:54]that they could hear the vibrations of a broken ribbon medina ultimately
[50:58]we go around the area what are we thinking where's fatima where's
[51:02]fatima to zara where's she buried could i possibly be stepping on
[51:06]her grave could i possibly be walking over her grave but you
[51:12]fatima you at least had when you died imam ali was there
[51:17]imam al hassan was there imam al hussain was there abu dar
[51:21]al ghafari was there salman al farsil muhammadi was there imam amir
[51:27]al mumin at least when you died imam al imam al hassan
[51:30]was there imam al hussain was there ab al fad others and
[51:33]so on and so forth all there imam al hassan when you
[51:38]died imam al hussain was there abel farla abbas was there muhammad
[51:44]al muhannfay was there abdullah bin jafar al tayyar was there all
[51:48]of these when they died they all had their family around them
[51:55]except the stranger of karabbalah his body lay on the ground for
[52:01]three nights with no one to bury him you know sometimes when
[52:06]we are asked to come and lead salat al mayid i meet
[52:09]the families and they say to me sayedna you know the people
[52:14]they didn't give the body back quickly and they're really upset that
[52:18]the people and the coroners and what have you didn't give the
[52:21]body back quickly i said don't worry they say why sayyid what
[52:24]do you mean don't worry i said sayyid isshohada for three nights
[52:28]his body lay on the plains of karabbalah with no one to
[52:31]bury him wallah i remember early in my career when i was
[52:40]researching for my majalis when i was very young and i was
[52:44]sitting one day and my mother was alongside me and i for
[52:47]the first time opened the book of what happened after ashura and
[52:53]i remember it was the chapter the book actually was given lent
[52:56]to me by said dear brother from imam hussain tv and it
[53:01]was that chapter on what happened after karbala after ashura and i
[53:06]got to the chapter of the burial it was the first time
[53:09]i remember that i was reading the burial and how difficult it
[53:14]was for imam al sajjad allah because for imam al sajjad can
[53:22]you imagine how difficult the burial of imam al hussain was after
[53:28]they had all left karbala they left those bodies on the ground
[53:32]benu asad came to karbala when benu asad came towards karbala they
[53:38]came to find the holy bodies body of a baby they come
[53:52]to another they see a body that has no arms they don't
[53:56]know what to do how do we collect the different parts who
[53:59]do the different parts belong to so they were there standing confused
[54:04]all of a sudden they saw a man coming towards the plains
[54:07]of karabbalah when they saw him one of them said to the
[54:11]other go hide go hide it could be ibn ziyad or one
[54:14]of his soldiers so they went and they hid until the man
[54:18]got closer and closer and closer until he said to them oh
[54:24]are you doing here they said we just came to see what
[54:27]took place he said no tell me why are you here they
[54:30]said we have come to bury the bodies of abba abdullah his
[54:35]companions we've come to bury the bodies of imam al hussain and
[54:41]his family members and his companions imam zain al abideen looked towards
[54:48]them and he said then why haven't you buried any of the
[54:52]bodies they said to him because we don't know which body belongs
[54:57]to whom there's one body that has no right arm or no
[55:01]left arm anymore there's another body that had no head attached to
[55:05]it there are bodies of children aged nine and 10 and 11
[55:10]and 12 all over the earth imam zainul abidin looked towards them
[55:14]he said may let me guide you onto how to bury these
[55:18]bodies they looked towards him they said please guide us he said
[55:23]go and make three different holes on the earth of karabbalah go
[55:27]and dig them up they went towards digging three different holes on
[55:33]the earth of karabbalah he said to them as for the first
[55:38]hall bury habib ibn mudah by himself in that hall imagine the
[55:45]station of habib in the eyes of abba abdullah how many of
[55:50]you have gone to karabbalah when you look at the shrine of
[55:55]abba abdullah you look towards the left you see habib shrine alone
[55:59]there for him he said as for the first grave place habib
[56:05]ibn malawad alone in that grave they said to him how about
[56:09]the second grave he said the second grave place the rest of
[56:14]the companions of into that grave imagine they had to place the
[56:25]bodies of hussain one by one into that grave they said to
[56:32]him how about the third grave he said bury bury the family
[56:36]members of abu abdullah into that third grave they placed they placed
[56:43]the family members of imam al hussain one by one can you
[56:47]imagine them taking akbar's body into that grave and taking qasim's body
[56:53]into that grave and taking the bodies one by one and they
[56:56]placed them on those graves then at that moment the imam said
[57:02]i'm going to walk towards a body that only i only i
[57:07]and unseen forces can bury he began the walk towards the holy
[57:15]body of abadilah for the first time until a shimmer sat on
[57:21]that body since shimmer sat on that body imam zayn al abideen
[57:26]hadn't seen the state of his father's body can you imagine what
[57:31]he went through as he was walking towards the body of ababa
[57:36]abdullah he paused for a moment why he saw the finger of
[57:41]imam al hussain on the ground he saw the finger of imam
[57:47]al hussain on the ground why because you know when they looted
[57:50]the body of imam al hussain some of them they made their
[57:54]horses trample on his body others of them took the shirt of
[57:58]abba abdullah one person saw the ring of rasulullah on the finger
[58:03]of imam al hussain had tried to pull it off it wouldn't
[58:07]come off he tried again it wouldn't come off you know what
[58:09]he did he pulled out his knife and he cut the finger
[58:13]of imam al hussain imam zayn al abideen picked up that finger
[58:17]he continued walking slowly but surely until he got towards the holy
[58:25]body of abba abdullah normally when your father dies what are you
[58:30]meant to do you're meant to turn his cheek to the side
[58:34]i ask you where were the cheeks of imam al hussain alaihi
[58:38]salam they were on a spear in kufa the imam took the
[58:45]dust of karabbalah and began to throw it over his face what
[58:51]is a world without the presence of abba abdullah this is something
[58:58]all of us feel what imam zain al abideen felt he took
[59:03]the body of abba abdullah he placed it under the earth some
[59:06]of you will ask was that the final burial no because when
[59:11]he returned to karbala on the fortieth he bought the head of
[59:14]imam al hussein alaihi salam he placed it with the rest of
[59:19]the body then he bought the rabbi he placed the baby on
[59:23]the chest and then he placed ali al akbar by the feet
[59:27]so he buried imam al hussein alaihi salaam manu came to him
[59:32]this line is for all of the lovers of one man now
[59:35]i'm gonna leave this with you all of you know exactly where
[59:38]i'm heading this is your moment now we conclude the majalis with
[59:43]this line show your feelings towards him emmanuel said came to the
[59:48]imam they said to him there's one more body you haven't buried
[59:54]it's a body that's been left by the forehead allah allah it's
[60:03]a body that's been left by the furat when we lift one
[60:09]side the rest falls on the ground when we lift the other
[60:13]the rest falls on the ground the imam began to walk calling
[60:19]out he came towards the body of abel fadl the imam you
[60:34]was used to seeing abba al fad's eyes yes but where were
[60:38]the eyes of abbas the imam was used to seeing the smile
[60:42]of abba where was the smile but the imam was also used
[60:47]to the embrace and the hug of his uncle and this time
[60:53]the arms were separated from the body of abel fadl saint matthew
[60:59]says we were very we were reconstructing reconstructing the the grave grave
[61:03]of of abel abel farl fadl in in karabbalah karabbalah he said
[61:06]the builders who were in charge of it came to me one
[61:09]day they said to me sayyidna we have a question to ask
[61:13]you he said go ahead ask me they said sayudna normally the
[61:16]narrations mention that whenever alifa'al used to sit on a horse his
[61:21]feet would touch the ground he said yes they said but we
[61:25]have a doubt about this narration he said to them why they
[61:29]said we've just rebuilt the shrine of abel fadl and the shrine
[61:34]is so small compared to someone of that height sayyid mahdi mahalalam
[61:40]began to cry and he called out they said to him what's
[61:48]wrong we made you cry he said i wonder how many parts
[61:53]they cut the body of that his grave is that small compared
[62:00]to his height that night i'll leave you with this one line
[62:04]and we'll conclude that night imam zainul abideen when he buried all
[62:08]of them he had to return to kufa it was of course
[62:11]a karama for imam zainul abideen when he returned to kufa the
[62:16]aunties the ladies the sisters they were all asleep in kufa where
[62:21]in kufa in the prisons of kufa they were all asleep he
[62:26]walked back in slowly one of them woke up who she looked
[62:33]at him he looked at her she said did you remove the
[62:36]arrows from his body slowly tell me tell me that you lowered
[62:43]his body slowly no more pain can i take about abba abid
[62:50]allah ever again raise your hands my dear brothers and sisters tomorrow
