[1:23][Music] we send our apostles with clear arguments and sent down with
[1:42]them the book and the balance that men may conduct themselves with
[1:46]equity and we have made iron we have made the iron wherein
[1:49]is great violence and advantages to men and that allah may know
[1:55]who helps him and his apostles in secret surely allah is strong
[1:59]and mighty just to brief recap last night we discussed the affairs
[2:08]or the state of the world before the advent of imam zaman
[2:12]ali very briefly we discussed the struggle between good and evil the
[2:18]struggle between the supporters of allah and the supporters of shaytan the
[2:23]struggle between those trying to establish the kingdom or the state of
[2:28]allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and those trying to prevent this and we
[2:34]explain the types of corruption we very briefly touched on the types
[2:39]of corruption that would fill the earth and we explained that imam
[2:44]al-hidjah sharif the imam would be the solution to mankind's problems and
[2:51]tonight inshaallah because what we said last night in conclusion was that
[2:57]only the government of imam al-mahdi alayhi could provide the solutions to
[3:04]mankind's problems only the government of al-muhammad alayhim as imam al-baqarah describes
[3:10]the government of imam mahdi he refers to it as our government
[3:16]the government of ahlulbayt referring to the government of imam al-mahdi refers
[3:23]to it as our government the government of muhammad we said that
[3:30]this is the only solution and that mankind will reach a point
[3:33]where it is mankind itself that gives up on all the solutions
[3:40]of this earth and looks to allah azzawajal and demands this form
[3:45]of government our discussion tonight inshaallah is if if we are claiming
[3:51]that the solution is the government of imam al-mahdi alaihis is islam
[3:58]a religion of government or not the concept of a religious state
[4:08]is it an islamic concept is that a concept touched upon in
[4:14]the holy quran has the messenger of allah ali promoted this did
[4:19]our imam salam allah present islam in such a manner do our
[4:26]approach islam in this manner or not before we answer this question
[4:32]we're going to touch on the meaning of the term government in
[4:40]western philosophy the term government is means it is the action or
[4:49]manner of controlling or regulating a state an organization or people and
[4:54]the organization of the affairs of the people through legislation and law
[5:01]there are many different definitions and they all swim around the same
[5:08]concept that the meaning of a government is a body or an
[5:15]entity or a group of people or an establishment which has authority
[5:19]and is entrusted with organizing the affairs of the people all of
[5:29]their affairs we see here living here in in australia for example
[5:35]if you and i wanted to build a house and this house
[5:43]needs a plot of land and we have purchased a plot of
[5:47]land and then we decided that on this land we're going to
[5:48]build a house even though in your mind this is a personal
[5:54]affair i have purchased this land with my own money and i
[5:58]will be building this house with my own money there is no
[6:02]way that you can carry out this construction authority from your local
[6:09]government correct this government will tax you this government will also provide
[6:16]for you the essentials for living it will provide gas and electricity
[6:19]and water so that this house is functional correct this government will
[6:25]also organize the collection of your rubbish it organizes our healthcare our
[6:28]education our domestic policies our financial policies our foreign policy our military
[6:38]policy the government is entrusted in all of our affairs and at
[6:42]some points these particular governments transgress and get involved in the most
[6:47]personal of our affairs does islam present such a government does islam
[7:00]entrust a body a person an individual or a group of individuals
[7:05]with running the affairs of the people before we touch on the
[7:12]verse that we just recited in shia thought we as imamiya is
[7:23]split into three camps there are three opinions regarding the issue of
[7:32]religious government and all three are respectable opinions and they are opinions
[7:35]of our the first opinion is that in the absence of the
[7:44]infallible islam has no role in governing the affairs of the people
[7:56]there is no islamic government governance is strictly in the time of
[8:01]the muscle this is the first opinion and those who hold this
[8:09]first opinion demand that people need to be governed at the end
[8:14]of the day true otherwise we'd live in chaos we'd be living
[8:19]in a jungle even the jungle has rules even in the animal
[8:24]kingdom there are rules but we as human beings we demand a
[8:29]form of governance in our lives our affairs need to be tendent
[8:35]too so even this group of scholars who are of their opinion
[8:41]that in the absence of the infallible there is no government and
[8:46]islam has no role of government they say that we as muslims
[8:49]we must hold on to a secular government and be law-abiding citizens
[8:56]in a secular government whichever secular government is just the second opinion
[9:06]is that no in the time of the ma'assum and outside of
[9:14]the time of the muslim islam has a role this second opinion
[9:22]says yes islam has no government outside of the era of the
[9:32]muslim however as muslims it is our obligation to hold on to
[9:37]a secular government which respects islamic values for example we can use
[9:46]iraq today iraq is a majority muslim nation and the majority of
[9:55]muslims there adhere to the motherhood although there is a large minority
[10:02]of our sunni brothers and sisters that live in iraq and there
[10:06]are christians and there are sabians and there are yazidis and there
[10:09]are so many different sects of of kitab and outside of kitab
[10:17]however the majority the overwhelming majority of iraqis are muslim and the
[10:23]overwhelming majority of these muslims adhere to the madhhab of bay they
[10:30]are if say that yes that the majority of them are of
[10:43]the opinion that because the maasum is not present this does not
[10:49]mean we go to a completely secular government nor does it mean
[10:53]we establish a purely islamic government so the opinion of these fukaha
[11:05]is that we adhere to a secular government a humanitarian government which
[11:13]respects the values of islam for example there are particular areas of
[11:21]iraq where alcohol is illegal where bars and nightclubs are illegal where
[11:29]it is uncommon to see a modest dress codes the meat which
[11:42]is given out in iraq which is sold in the streets and
[11:44]in the markets of iraq and in the butchers of iraq need
[11:49]to be halal the quran has a role in the constitution of
[11:54]iraq the marja has a role in the constitution of iraq and
[11:58]we have seen this in recent years when iraq was fighting its
[12:04]war against terror it is the marja's of the motherhood of that
[12:09]stepped in and saved iraq and the region from these terrorist organizations
[12:18]with their divine fatwa we see the politicians flocking to the marja's
[12:24]for advice flocking to the marja for approval so these are of
[12:36]this opinion that in the absence of we have a state a
[12:40]secular state but in the under one condition that this secular state
[12:45]respects the tenants of islam the third opinion the third opinion is
[12:59]that no islam is a religion of government during the era of
[13:06]the maasam and in every other era whether the maasum is present
[13:14]or not islam is a religion of governance islam has its own
[13:20]political system islam has its own social system it has its own
[13:23]economical system it has its own military system islam has its own
[13:30]policies its own judiciary therefore islam as a whole must be implemented
[13:37]during the time of the nation outside of the time of the
[13:41]muslim this is the third opinion and the modern example that we
[13:47]have today is the islamic republic in conclusion when we take these
[13:57]three opinions these three opinions although they differ on one side they
[14:05]agree on one common principle that at the time of islam is
[14:10]a religion of government all three of them agree with this all
[14:15]three agree that at the time where there is an infallible present
[14:20]islam is the law of the land islam runs the state of
[14:29]affairs the affairs of the people at every level socially economically religiously
[14:32]jurispudentially from a judicial level on every level islam has an answer
[14:43]and this brings us to the verse that we open up with
[14:46]in surat al hadid and we'll recap this verse allah azzawajal he
[14:53]starts off by saying rasulallah is putting out the mission statement of
[15:05]the prophets of the books that he has the divine books he
[15:10]has revealed to the messengers over the centuries and centuries he says
[15:17]certainly we sent our apostles with clear arguments and sent down with
[15:22]them the book and the balance that men may conduct themselves with
[15:30]equity so allah azzawajal is telling you i did not reveal these
[15:33]books for your entertainment i did not reveal these books just so
[15:38]you can find serenity in them no i sent these messengers and
[15:46]these books and i sent with them al mizan so that mankind
[15:54]can rule with equity justice needs to be the outcome these prophets
[16:01]in these books came with law and the aim of this law
[16:08]is divine justice and the author of these laws is the divine
[16:11]himself this is allah azzawajal speaking not me so allah subhanahu wa
[16:21]ta'ala is telling us that the main reason i have revealed these
[16:27]books and the main reason i have sent these messengers is i
[16:33]am sending down a doctrine a philosophy a law a government so
[16:40]that a government may be established and this government its aim is
[16:45]to rule by the book of allah azzawajal and to establish equity
[16:51]and justice and had there been any other method for establishing equity
[16:57]and justice allah azzawajal in his wisdom would have informed us he
[17:03]would not have sent 124 000 prophets to bring down their books
[17:10]and go through that hardship and a great number of them were
[17:16]killed and murdered along with their families and children including our holy
[17:18]messenger so the concept of government in the holy quran is established
[17:28]more than that allah a strange turn takes in this verse so
[17:36]on one one point he is speaking about the messengers and the
[17:41]books and that they have been revealed to establish so that men
[17:44]can rule one another with equity and then allah says something very
[17:52]strange he changes topics completely also it appears he says [Music] [Music]
[18:13]after saying that he has sent his messengers with these laws in
[18:18]these books so that equity may be established between people then allah
[18:23]subhanahu wa says and we have brought down the iron iron you
[18:29]know what iron is it's a metal what's iron got to do
[18:35]with anything one minute allah azzawajal is talking about messengers and the
[18:40]and the divine books and ruling by justice and then allah switches
[18:46]and begins talking about ayan and he says that this iron in
[18:51]it is great violence and advantages to men and that allah may
[18:58]know who helps him and his apostles in the secret surely allah
[19:01]is strong almighty without going into a tafsiri discussion because of time's
[19:06]sake according to some of our mufassirin why allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala mentions
[19:17]ayan in this verse and why he starts off by mentioning that
[19:21]iron through iron there is great violence and there is also great
[19:28]benefit to human beings iron is a symbol of strength it is
[19:38]a symbol of strength and enforcing because remember at the time the
[19:45]quran is revealed the great militaries of the world depended heavily on
[19:53]iron for their weaponry almost all of their weapons were made out
[19:59]of iron their swords their spearheads their arrowheads the more iron a
[20:07]nation possessed the stronger its military was it is a symbol of
[20:10]force it is a symbol of might so some of our mufassirin
[20:16]have come and they've said that allah mentions i and here and
[20:22]mentions the wrath of iron and the violence that ayan can create
[20:26]because allah wants to emphasize the importance of enforcing these books and
[20:34]enforcing this justice and equity allah azzawajal is making a point here
[20:40]he's telling yes through iron there is a form of violence however
[20:44]also through this iron and through enforcing these laws of allah azzawajal
[20:48]and enforcing and establishing the government of justice and equity there is
[20:53]great benefit to men and this is something that sometimes we try
[21:02]to sidestep but i'll touch on inshallah and continue because it's very
[21:04]important to understand this and some people are uncomfortable talking about particular
[21:13]situations but islam has a very firm stance on violence okay we
[21:17]are not a passive religion no nor are we an aggressive religion
[21:23]we are not a religion that will sit back and allow our
[21:27]enemy to take from us and trample on us and spread their
[21:31]corruption and follow this silly dogma of turn the other cheek nor
[21:38]are we the type of religion that is commanded to oppress and
[21:44]subjugate others and trample on their rights and steal their lands no
[21:52]islam is the religion of allah the most wise because he is
[22:01]the creator of this creation and he understands man allah azzawajal knows
[22:09]that in order for mankind to prevent or slow down the spread
[22:15]of aggression and corruption and tyranny they need to be allowed to
[22:24]defend themselves and take up iron this is a logical religion this
[22:28]makes sense this is the religion of humanity and allah is very
[22:32]clear he says had we not permitted this then the transgressors would
[22:35]overcome the earth tyrants would overcome the earth and subjugate its people
[22:42]if good men do not stand up against them standing up against
[22:54]tyranny is not terrorism being passive in the face of tyranny is
[22:58]terrorism in our philosophy without getting on into a philosophical debate evil
[23:10]is not an independent existence evil does not exist on itself rather
[23:20]evil we refer to it as adami yeah it only exists where
[23:28]goodness does not exist it fills that void meaning evil is the
[23:34]lack of good where good does not exist this is what we
[23:37]call evil so in our philosophy when the good acquired when the
[23:48]righteous acquired and passive then they are in fact contributing to evil
[23:54]by not promoting and enforcing that which is rightful in that which
[23:59]is good and this is the proper implementation and this is the
[24:06]proper understanding of that in iron there is great benefit to mankind
[24:15]because through taking up this iron we are capable of standing in
[24:23]the face of those who have took it up for the sake
[24:25]of evil now back to our talk on government we gave the
[24:34]verse we've established that allah sends his messengers with the books and
[24:40]the mizan so that mankind can rule one another justly do we
[24:48]have examples of a divine government in history we have many we
[24:53]go back to the holy quran the story of sulaiman alaihissalam allah
[24:59]azzawajal gave him a kingdom and gave them kingdoms and they ruled
[25:04]by the rule of allah and in our narrations we have several
[25:09]narrations that speak about the government of imam and we'll get back
[25:26]to this narration and so we go all the way to rasulullah
[25:36]the first order of business after the migration to medina is what
[25:47]establishing the masjid in medina building this masjid and making it the
[25:56]center of government in medina with the holy messenger as the head
[26:04]of state and the quran and the as the constitution of this
[26:10]state see brothers and sisters before we go on with the examples
[26:17]of divine government in history those who argue the third opinion that
[26:21]we gave that islam is a government for all times in the
[26:27]presence of the sum or not they touch on a few points
[26:32]to bring this forth they say as muslims our constitution is the
[26:36]holy quran the most sacred pillar of this religion is the holy
[26:45]quran this is the word of allah it dictates our lives they
[26:51]say if this divine book was revealed in allah's wisdom because we
[26:55]know that allah is wise he doesn't do anything out of abath
[27:03]he doesn't do anything just for the sake of doing it they
[27:06]say that if we are saying allah azzawajal is wise and he
[27:11]has revealed this book to us and in this book there are
[27:14]laws regarding marriage laws regarding divorce laws regarding capital punishment laws regarding
[27:24]economics laws regarding social and family affairs how are we supposed to
[27:32]implement this quran if we have no government did allah reveal these
[27:37]verses just for the time of the mason or is the quran
[27:43]holistic or is the quran for every era and every time after
[27:55]the government of rasulallah which in fact is a miniature model of
[28:05]the government of imam imam when we speak about the government of
[28:12]imam it is a continuation and it is the spreading on a
[28:23]gra and establishing on a grander scale the government of muhammad ibn
[28:27]abdullah sallallahu alaihi and it's for this reason imam al-baqarah alaihis-salam says
[28:31]as i stated in the beginning when he speaks about the government
[28:35]of imam al-mahdi alaihissalam who refers to it as what da latuna
[28:40]our government it is the government of muhammad sallallahu whether he sat
[28:59]on the throne of khilafah or not because in our doctrine as
[29:06]shia imam it is allah azzawajal who appoints his khalifa and just
[29:16]as the silent quran the book is our constitution is our governor
[29:23]the speaking quran is our ruler but when the ummah after 25
[29:34]years of failure came to ali ibn abi ta'ala demanding that he
[29:38]take the reign of government reminded them about a few years prior
[29:51]after the second had passed away and they came and they offered
[29:57]ali ibn abi talib under one condition they said to him that
[30:03]you abide by the book of allah the sunnah he refused he
[30:25]said i will rule by the book of allah and by the
[30:30]sunnah of rasulallah and my understanding of the sunnah he has no
[30:37]opinion of his own islam it says abide by no one else
[30:44]is sunnah except the sunnah of rasulallah and the law of the
[30:49]holy quran when they came to him just before the advent of
[30:51]his khilafah this was the condition he gave them that i will
[30:59]rule by the book of allah azzawajal and by the sunnah of
[31:04]the messenger of allah and my implementation of this sunnah and they
[31:10]agreed and for four or five years in this ocean of discourse
[31:19]and war and civil unrest in the ummah picking up the fragmentations
[31:25]and the pieces of this destroyed nation ali alaihissalam is implementing to
[31:33]the best of his capability to the best of anyone's ability the
[31:37]kingdom of allah azzawajal and history will today bear witness and forever
[31:47]bear witness that the most just government to ever shine light on
[31:56]this earth was the government of allah the government where the head
[32:04]of state would spend his nights going door-to-door feeding the poor and
[32:09]the orphans and the weirdos and they would not know that he
[32:15]is the head of state that he is amir al-mu'min the government
[32:22]where ali alayhis salaam hears that one of his representatives attended the
[32:32]gathering of the rich in egypt did nothing haram did nothing haram
[32:41]did not break the rules of allah azzawajal imagine one of our
[32:48]governments doing this today is the ambassador of alaim and he is
[32:54]the governor appointed by alibaba he is invited by the prominent figures
[33:01]of egypt or some of the prominent figures of egypt to a
[33:06]meal or a gathering and go and read this little and see
[33:29]divine justice and see divine mercy where amir al-mu meaning is now
[33:37]admonishing malik telling him in your region there are poor there are
[33:50]those who cannot afford bread and now the governor appointed by ali
[33:57]is sitting at the table of the rich and eating yamalia admonishes
[34:06]him for his simple act in the government of alaim splits mankind
[34:19]into two two categories when he sees an old poor man walking
[34:27]at night and his back is at his back is arced over
[34:33]and he looks like he's in distress and looking for food ali
[34:38]alayhis salaam in the streets of kaufa sees this site and he
[34:43]asks his companions who is this why is there such a man
[34:47]under my governance go and bring from baitul mal and give him
[34:56]they said to him [Music] he is not a muslim he is
[35:06]from amongst the people of the book because this was the mentality
[35:10]that they had been raised on for 25 years this was the
[35:16]islam that they had been raised on and got used to for
[35:20]25 years shocked he says this man lives under our ruling then
[35:29]he says his famous saying that people are of two types they
[35:36]are either your brothers in religion or you're equal in humanity allah
[35:42]a constitution for mankind everywhere this should be written a constitution for
[35:49]mankind everywhere in every era i challenge a government of today to
[35:53]produce such a constitution in one or two lines he hears that
[36:07]who claimed to be muslim that the had attacked a village and
[36:15]removed the earrings from the ears of a jewish woman amir al-mu'min
[36:23]he says if someone were to die out of heartache from hearing
[36:30]this he should die does not sleep lest there be a muslim
[36:47]or a non-muslim in yemen or in hijaz or in iraq who
[36:58]sleeps without food this is ali alaihis this is the government of
[37:08]alibnia beta this is the government that imam al-hussein alaihis-salam goes to
[37:14]kufa to establish imam hussain when asked about his mission statement what
[37:24]are you going out to do where are you taking all these
[37:29]women and children why are you going off to kufa are you
[37:32]going off to cause sedition and trouble in the ummah i'm paraphrasing
[37:39]here he says no i have gone why i'm going but to
[37:45]restore the nation of my grandfather and to reform the nation of
[37:49]my grandfather what's his restoration what's this reformation yahoo saying why does
[37:56]it need reform what is it look what his concern is he
[38:00]says do you not see that the haral of allah has been
[38:06]made haram and the haram of allah has been made halal and
[38:12]people do not enjoin good nor do they forbid evil it is
[38:21]for this the establishment of this government that respects the laws of
[38:28]allah azzawajal and enjoins good and forbids evil that hussein allah putting
[38:40]himself and his family in danger just to go sit in kulfa
[38:45]just to go be imam jamaa in kufa he is not killed
[38:52]because he wanted to go and lead jama'a prayers in kufa imam
[38:59]hussain is going to kulfa to establish the government of rasulullah our
[39:09]imams all of them from allah every single one of these imams
[39:19]is either slaughtered or poisoned why did the tyrants fear their prayers
[39:28]and their dua did they fear the laws and the akam of
[39:31]tahara if they did not suspect or genuinely feel these tyrants that
[39:42]these imams threaten the very establishment of their kingdoms they would have
[39:52]left them alone but this was not the case every one of
[39:58]our imams was slaughtered and poisoned and many of them before they
[40:04]were slaughtered or poisoned imprisoned either under house arrest or moved to
[40:09]another country or placed in an actual prison because they were feared
[40:15]their governments were feared they were feared by the tyrants of the
[40:21]time and all we need to do is look at the mission
[40:29]statement of imam al-mahdi alayhi and we'll end with this as i
[40:34]said to you the other night when we read this related to
[40:43]imam zaman alayhi let's read them like mission statements read them as
[40:51]documents highlighting the objectives of the coming of the imam and one
[41:00]of the most popular adayah related to imam al-mahdi alayhi salaam taught
[41:04]to us by imam um and we have received it through this
[41:20]chain of narrations towards the end of the dua some of the
[41:29]statements the mission statements of the imam is given we are given
[41:32]a glimpse of what imam al-mahdi's government will look like this is
[41:38]what is to come this is the glad tidings that allah azzawajal
[41:41]has given us we read father the son of the daughter of
[42:05]your messenger who is named after your messenger foreign him emerge so
[42:18]that he does not come across anything of falsehood except that he
[42:24]shreds it ya allah so this is the first objective of the
[42:29]government of imam al-mahdi alayhi to eradicate falsehood to eradicate barton and
[42:43]to restore truth after abolishing falsehood make him ya allah aid him
[42:51]ya allah in restoring truth making the truth clear and restoring it
[43:00][Music] and make him oh allah a refuge for those who are
[43:12]oppressed amongst your worshipers and servants he will come destroy falsehood establish
[43:23]truth and he will be aided with allah azzawajal to the point
[43:28]he has the might and the strength and the power and the
[43:31]capacity to defend the oppressed lima and a supporter for those who
[43:47]have no support about allah azzawajal so imam if he is the
[43:52]supporter of those who have no support about allah [Applause] restore what
[44:23]was shelved and put aside from the laws of your book is
[44:34]making a clear statement to us making an obs first observation is
[44:39]that the book of allah azzawajal the book as a book has
[44:46]not been touched we as muslims all agree despite maybe some minor
[44:51]claims here and there from both sides that the quran has been
[44:54]tampered with but overall unanimously us muslims believe in one quran is
[45:02]not speaking about the quran being tampered with and changed no but
[45:09]he says the akam the laws the rulings in this book are
[45:14]no longer applied to allah they have been abandoned this final savior
[45:23]of ours imam al-assad is teaching us in this dua one of
[45:28]his main objectives is to restore the the rulings in the book
[45:34]of allah azzawajal that have been made idol or negated or dropped
[45:40]or ignored by the muslims not just the book of allah the
[45:46]imam continues and he will strengthen he will strengthen what has come
[46:00]in your religion and reinstate the sunnah of your prophet sallallahu alaihi
[46:09]when we read and we read it a lot and we hear
[46:11]it a lot that imam al-mahdi alaihis-salam will come with a new
[46:17]religion correct we hear this all the time that he will come
[46:21]with a foreign religion a religion which is strange people will look
[46:26]at this religion and not recognize it is it that the religion
[46:35]of imam almighty is different to the religion of muhammad is it
[46:39]different to the religion of alaim islam religion with allah is islam
[46:48]the religion of allah is islam there is no other religion what
[46:50]is new religion no but we have deviated so far from the
[47:00]path and eradicated so much of the holy qurans and rulings and
[47:08]abandoned so much of the sunnah of rasulallah that when the imam
[47:17]salam when he comes with the proper and pure islam of his
[47:21]grandfather rasulallah to you and i and to the rest of the
[47:37]world it looks foreign it looks foreign and this brings us back
[47:45]to the narration of rasulullah who says islam began glad tidings to
[48:05]the strangers meaning glad tidings to those who hold on to this
[48:10]religion which will reach a point where everything about this religion seems
[48:16]strange in your societies and you are deemed backwards and you are
[48:25]deemed to be a an extremist if you adhere to the book
[48:30]of allah and the sunnah of his messenger to grow your beard
[48:35]is frowned upon sister improper hijab is frowned upon if she chooses
[48:46]to wear the abaya of sayada [Applause] this community will make her
[48:55]life hell this community will make her life hell but if she
[49:04]were to wear a simple hijab with tights and a tight t-shirt
[49:10]nobody would question her nobody would question her but when the prophet
[49:18]dean of muhammad sallallahu alaihi ali is being implemented she's an extremist
[49:23]she's a weirdo look at how she looks when our brother refuses
[49:33]to eat but his friends make fun of him it's all the
[49:38]same bro this is beef and this is beef it's all the
[49:43]same why you so extreme because he wants to eat this is
[49:55]a true story somebody asked me once if i prayed i said
[50:02]yes this is a muslim you pray you don't drink alcohol exact
[50:10]words you're an extremist praying and not drinking alcohol makes you an
[50:16]extremist not listening to music extremists i don't attend mixed weddings why
[50:25]are you being so extreme oh don't don't talk to him he
[50:29]doesn't go to weddings doesn't listen to music he's so extreme we've
[50:34]become strangers described that beautifully perfectly in towards the end of the
[50:48]dua because we are ending now the discussion on the concept of
[50:54]government in islam we have established that in islam we do have
[51:01]a form of government islam is a religion of government whether we
[51:06]agree that it is implemented only in the time of imam al-mahdi
[51:10]alayhi or implemented before that we agree that it exists and that
[51:17]it will be implemented at the time of the imam alayhim we
[51:48]are asking allah azzawajal to grant us this generous or this dignified
[51:57]nation what is the objective of it bring honor and dignity to
[52:13]islam and the muslims and bring disgrace to who bring disgrace to
[52:25]hypocrisy and the hypocrites and make us through this government ya allah
[52:32]amongst the callers towards your worship and allow us to lead the
[52:43]people towards you through it and grant us this is the important
[52:49]part here of imam mahdi's government the government of imam guarantees your
[52:59]dunya and your because islam is not a religion based simply on
[53:08]akhira as imam assad he says he says he is not from
[53:14]us who gives up his dunya for his archer nor is he
[53:17]from us who gives up his akhirah for his dunya yeah islam
[53:22]requires this balance we don't have hermits in islam people are not
[53:27]encouraged to go out and sit in mountains and just pray and
[53:29]disassociate from people no islam is about your dunya through your dunya
[53:37]and through the government of imam al-mahdi alaihissalam we guarantee [Music] m
[54:55][Music] [Applause] [Music] um [Music] um [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] a [Music]
[56:37][Music] so [Music] [Music] foreign saying up and if you hold tears
[58:13]in your eyes come with me and for a second let us
[58:18]let out these cries with these eyes i watched his body in
[58:25]its final step with these ears i let his bones crush and
[58:37]break and with these names i kissed his neck with no head
[58:41]i wished i could place my cheek on his on his at
[58:48]his deathbed she turns to her sayion's grave and complains about the
[58:53]immoral treatment in charms pain hussein they whipped us and took our
[59:04]face cover threw us on the floors of dungeon ruins dear brother
[59:09]and after a life of being surrounded by saints they force me
[59:21]to courts enslaved with restraints the pearls of zainab had their turn
[59:29]giving lessons for the brave to learn from the battlegrounds they did
[59:41]not run together they fought as if they were one zainab sacrificed
[59:46]her all even her sons she carried tragedies outweighing tons of beloved
[59:56]brother hussein if she could she would do it over and over
[60:02]again [Music] tonight is the night of muhammad but let us venture
[60:13]but we can also say it's the night for the mothers mothers
[60:19]of kerebella mothers of trials and tribulations mothers of our defenders putting
[60:28]their life on the line for the sake of islam and muslims
[60:30]let us comfort these mothers tonight these great women who put priorities
[60:39]of religion before worldly desires one of them being the apple of
[60:45]their eye let us comfort ramla the mother of qasim laila the
[60:48]mother of ali the mother of allah what have they committed what
[62:02]have these evil men done the nick your grandfather kissed his now
[62:07]on a spear your sister zane of his prisoner dragged from there
[62:14]to him zainab the one who collected herself and was patient through
[62:22]her life first she lost her beloved grandfather rasulullah then her mother
[62:31]was crushed behind that her unborn brother mohsen killed them her beloved
[62:41]father ali struck in salad and zainab became a copy of ali
[62:46]in speech and patience and she inherited the trials of her mother
[62:52]then she saw her brother who was poisoned and she watched him
[62:58]spill his insides now began brought his two sons and handed them
[63:26]to the imam saying o imam since you have decided to go
[63:31]and will not allow me to come with you please take my
[63:34]sons with you own will represent his maternal grandfather imam ali and
[63:39]muhammad will represent his paternal grandfather both great warriors so what do
[63:48]we expect from these these children to be even when designing up
[63:52]saying i have brought you our two sons to go with you
[63:55]in this time of difficulty on our mawlana abba abdullah give one
[64:02]son as a sadaqa charity from your side and the others are
[64:08]sadaka from mine these two children were quite young allen was about
[64:12]13 and muhammad was said to be one or two years younger
[64:17]they had learned the art of fencing and sword fighting from their
[64:21]uncle and took great pride in it the ninth night of muharram
[64:28]was the night of ashura no one in hussain's camp slept men
[64:34]spent the night in prayer reciting quran and what were the mothers
[64:44]doing they were preparing their children were they preparing them to be
[64:50]careful to hide or save their lives no they told their children
[64:53]to sacrifice their lives and aid of their master hussein they loved
[64:59]their children like any loving mother but they saw the bigger picture
[65:03]they saw their imam alone they saw the reform of religion through
[65:07]this sacrifice listen to what the mothers of karbala told their children
[65:18]my son remember your life is not more important than the life
[65:25]of your father your father's life will be in danger do not
[65:28]hesitate to give your life to protect your father's thousand my life
[65:36]son if your father was alive today he would have sacrificed his
[65:43]life first my darling do not embarrass me in front of your
[65:46]father on the day of judgment do not hesitate to sacrifice your
[65:52]life for your uncle's life um imam hussain's sister is sitting crying
[66:01]abbas heard her and came to attention my sister why are you
[66:09]crying what is the matter she said advice tomorrow is the day
[66:16]of sacrifice but i have no children to sacrifice abbas replied my
[66:21]darling sister do not cry abbas is still alive tomorrow i will
[66:25]sacrifice my life as a gift on your behalf i will be
[66:31]your sacrifice tomorrow is the day of the battle your uncle who
[66:48]says life will be in danger if anything happens him while you
[66:56]are still alive i will be filled with shame my darlings on
[67:00]a muhammad i will not be able to face your grandmother fatima
[67:03]on the day of judgement please my dear sons do not let
[67:10]me down [Music] as the bodies are carried to the tents one
[67:44]after the other she called her sons my sons what are you
[67:52]waiting for why have you not been to the battlefield yet go
[67:55]and fight the enemies of islam they replied in a certain mother
[68:02]since dawn we have been done many times for permission to fight
[68:08]he keeps refusing us mother you help us ask uncle hussain to
[68:12]give us permission zayn of course hussain to the tent brother hussain
[68:18]i have been like a mother to you aventa your mother is
[68:23]begging you to let her sons go to the battlefield do you
[68:26]remember in the battle of suffering abbas was only eight years old
[68:33]when you saw someone tried to attack you he rushed to the
[68:36]battlefield and killed that man do you remember how proud our father
[68:43]ali was of abbas today i want to be proud of my
[68:44]sons i want to see them go out and defend defend islam

[69:17]than the day of judgment i will be filled with shame let
[69:21]them go please i sense all the disappointments on zainab's face her
[69:27]eyes filled with tears hussain then put his arms around muhammad [Music]
[69:45]um of quran an enemy who changed quran's teachings they never learned
[71:02]the wrongdoings of a tribe that's blinded by shaitan's power and chains
[71:07]they were abundant they fought bravely together they pushed enemies back every
[71:12]time they killed someone they would look at abal for their outburst
[71:18]their teacher and seek his approval see if he is pleased with
[71:25]them so they fought so well that at one point even saddas
[71:28]who are these two youngsters they fight like i see he told
[71:36]the soldiers to give up single combat and separate the two by
[71:44]attacking them from all sides soon owner muhammad were overpowered enemies surrounded
[71:50]them attacked by a horseman running from one side to another struck
[71:57]with smears and swords daggers arrows they called out assalamu the children
[72:23]were severely wounded taking their last breaths [Music] to [Music] thank you
[73:29]for accepting my sacrifice my heart is filled with pride because my
[73:33]two sons were have given their life for our religion why didn't
[73:42]zainab wants her brother to fear why i didn't sign up crying
[73:47]she didn't want abba abdullah to feel guilty in any way but
[73:53]after the battle was over it is narrated let's see the zainab
[74:01]on the eleventh night of muharram when they had burned the tents
[74:06]they had killed the men and they had they had trampled the
[74:10]children they say that said was running through the martyrs that lay
[74:23]on karbala trying to reach our she trips over and realizes she
[74:37]tripped on her own son owens body she begins to speak to
[74:45]her brother [Music] [Music] i stumble through the valley of death towards
[76:15]you as i run i see a tiny blood soaked body and
[76:22]realize it's my own son telling him stay here while i go
[76:29]to your uncle's remains left him behind to check on you my

[80:28]in the darkness of the night i sit alone in our empty
[80:37]home i recall our younger days all together in the light and

[81:33]were like us brother who said no kinship was like mine i
[81:39]saw a mother father and grandfather in your face when our family's
[81:47]glow faded away you were the warmth i would embrace but that
[81:52]warmth is gone in these days brother how do you expect me
[81:58]to forget you and stop my tears and my cries then the
