[0:24]who simian Alima respected brothers and sisters assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh a few
[0:36]days ago I saw a post on Twitter by a preacher a
[0:41]Salafi preacher who tweeted that protests in Islam are forbidden and it
[0:49]is haram for a Muslim to protest now this due to the
[1:00]protests that are going on with the black rights movement and with
[1:05]what's going on this this remark created some controversy and there were
[1:12]many who were objecting there were many who were trying to explain
[1:20]how can someone say that protesting is Haram protesting is something that
[1:26]is forbidden from an Islamic perspective and of course many of the
[1:32]scholars there were many who refuted what that man said and they
[1:35]replied to what that man has said now of course that man
[1:42]he's living in a country that does not even allow protests and
[1:46]he's receiving his salary from that government that does not allow protesting
[1:51]so it's obvious that his remark is perhaps influenced by where he's
[2:01]living however in fact if we look at the books of literature
[2:06]the books of hadith you will find that the silencing of dissent
[2:12]and the silencing of protestors was something that was systematically institutionalized within
[2:22]the Muslim books of literature books of hadith and what that man
[2:27]said was not just a personal opinion there are actually factions and
[2:32]groups of the Muslims especially those who subscribe to the Salafi the
[2:38]Wahhabi sect and perhaps others that will follow the fabricated narrations or
[2:46]the narrations that they have in their books and do to those
[2:49]narrations they will silence any dissent and they will silence anyone who
[2:56]protests and anyone who speaks out against corruption and oppression this is
[3:04]all a part of the institutionalized way that Muslims have been silenced
[3:11]throughout history as we know after the death of rasulullah sallallahu alayhi
[3:19]wa la the a debate they were sidelined amir al mu'minin was
[3:21]not allowed to be in power and the added baits were marginalized
[3:24]and oppressed and narrating the hadith of rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa l
[3:32]started with the government of Abu Bakr all the way until another
[3:37]bin abdul-aziz so during that time it was illegal for the Muslims
[3:43]to narrate the hadith of rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa however under the
[3:49]rule of Benny Omega and those who were oppressing they allowed and
[3:56]they paid money to narrators and those who report hadith to report
[4:02]narrations that would silence anyone who objects against those who are in
[4:12]power so some of those narrations are those that are attributed to
[4:16]rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa LA which in fact they go against the
[4:21]principles of islam and the theme of the Quran and the principles
[4:24]and the themes of the Quran which and I sort of lost
[4:29]on the Lahani you Anna he tells Muslims to not protest and
[4:32]not object when there's a ruler there's a person of authority and
[4:39]power so you could see that the reason why we have these
[4:42]narrations in our books and we the followers of the animates and
[4:47]many Muslims reject these narrations because they contradict the Quran and the
[4:50]principles and the teachings of the Quran there are some narrations that
[4:55]are attributed to rasulullah sallallahu alehiwassallaam Zand says protesting is haram this
[5:10]isn't only because he is living in a regime in a country
[5:15]in a government that is ruled by dictators and ruled by individuals
[5:20]by a government that does not allow protesting and not only because
[5:24]he's receiving his salary from the government but there is a systematic
[5:28]silencing of any dissent throughout history this is not something that we
[5:33]only see now this is something that has existed for 1400 years
[5:39]and some of the proofs that they use are this verse Surat
[5:44]Annisa verse 59 a verse which we use to argue that Allah
[5:47]subhana WA Ta'ala has given authority to the legitimate a man the
[5:51]Imam that is appointed by Allah subhana WA Ta'ala ya Yohan Lavina
[5:58]amanu appear allaha wa ali or rasul were only a merry man
[6:01]come o you people who believe obey God and obey the prophets
[6:03]and those who Allah has appointed in positions of power but because
[6:11]they rejected those who Allah has appointed in positions of power like
[6:14]Amir and minion like the Imams of the added bait so they
[6:17]came and they applied this verse to those who are legitimately in
[6:25]power and telling people as if God is telling people obey anyone
[6:28]who is in power as long as someone who is in a
[6:32]position of authority then this person must be obeyed and that person's
[6:36]obedience is like the obedience of Rasul Allah and the obedience of
[6:39]Rasul Allah is like the OBD of God and in fact there's
[6:45]a chapter there's a whole section in the books of hadith and
[6:49]the books of Islamic law in the non Cherie perspective which is
[6:56]a whole chapter liya Jews in huge an assault on telling Muslims
[7:00]that you are not allowed to protest and you're not allowed to
[7:03]rise and rebel against the Sultana no matter how corrupt is no
[7:09]matter what this person is doing you are not allowed to speak
[7:12]out against them and obviously we understand that this is not a
[7:17]hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu Harley right and this is a fabricated hadith
[7:22]and you see some of these and some of the most notable
[7:24]books that are accepted by Muslims for example in Muslim a book
[7:29]which is referred to as a Muslim supposedly rasulallah salallahu alayhi wa
[7:34]ala says this hadith your corne body and in Malaya to do
[7:41]neighborhood I when I stand knowing a bassoon Nettie was say upon
[7:44]fee hemorrhage al Pulu boham Hulu Bush shayateen features many ends so
[7:51]supposedly Rasulullah he tells the Muslims there's going to be Imams and
[7:55]leaders after me who are not guided by the guidance that I
[8:00]am guided and they do not follow my Sunnah and their hearts
[8:02]are the hearts of Shaitaan so the Astros Oh Lala Salama Holly
[8:09]Holly the astros oh la la que el snap what should I
[8:12]do with these people the al-assad allah what should we do with
[8:15]these people if we live during that type of ruler so supposedly
[8:19]Rasul Allah says Allah tests my watch appear and Emir wet and
[8:25]lara bhava right well i had the malik first mat whopper supposedly
[8:29]or sort of law says you obey and you follow the commands
[8:33]of your ameer even if they are abusing you even if he's
[8:38]oppressing you even if he's hitting your back and he's stealing from
[8:41]your wealth you still have to obey and listen to the commands
[8:47]of this person now I don't want to waste my time and
[8:49]your time by mentioning this hadith because this hadith and there patience
[8:54]and the way the verses of the Quran are understood to silence
[9:01]any dissent this completely go against the themes and the principles of
[9:05]the quran and the sunnah of rasulallah salallahu alaihe day and the
[9:10]whole message and the soul of Islam the essence of Islam my
[9:14]dear brothers and sisters and the essence of religion is to uphold
[9:21]justice to strive to uphold justice Islam is a religion of justice
[9:25]and it teaches us that not only do we have to uphold
[9:27]justice God upholds justice and we also have to make sure that
[9:33]we establish justice in society and this is what it means to
[9:36]be a Muslim and a lot more Oh bill oddly when their
[9:42]son allah commands justice and their son and doing good so would
[9:46]it make sense for Allah subhana WA Ta'ala to see someone if
[9:50]this person is a in a position of authority to tell people
[9:53]to be quiet let this person do whatever they want to do
[9:58]in fact the purpose that Allah subhana Allah sent prophets and messengers
[10:05]124,000 prophets and messengers were sent for a purpose what is that
[10:10]purpose Allah says in the Quran laka Selina Rosalina bilberry not ones
[10:16]Elna muhammad Qatada well meson leah puma novelist we have sent down
[10:24]our messengers with the proofs and we have given them the books
[10:29]and the scale why so people uphold what is right so people
[10:32]stand for what is right sneer form and national tests so the
[10:41]concept of standing against an oppressor something that is the soul of
[10:48]Islam establishing justice this is the message of all of the prophets
[10:51]all of the messengers they came to establish justice and by the
[10:59]way justice the concept of justice is something that is separate from
[11:04]religion you don't need to be a Muslim to know what right
[11:07]and wrong is we have our scholars they discuss this they say
[11:11]that good and bad there are some things that are obvious you
[11:16]don't need to be a religious person to know injustice when you
[11:19]see it to no justice when you see it Allison well actually
[11:23]well ASA share a meaning there are certain principles of right and
[11:29]wrong these are logical Allah subhana WA Ta'ala has created us with
[11:33]them where our common sense knows what right what is right and
[11:36]what is wrong you don't need to even be religious to understand
[11:39]that Allah has programmed us to defy injustice allah subhanaw taala has
[11:45]programmed us in our DNA the way of v mother allah has
[11:49]created us with we know wrong when we see it we know
[11:56]oppression when we see it and this the the whole that whole
[11:58]concept of knowing right and wrong that is what leads you to
[12:03]religion because following religion and believing in God that is the essence
[12:07]of justice and that is establishing justice and doing what's right this
[12:11]is why I mom Sadiq alayhi Salam he says bill Apple are
[12:14]awfully bad calico home through the intellect people will know their Lord
[12:18]it's not that the Lord teaches you what's right and wrong yes
[12:23]Allah does teach us but Allah has given us our intellect which
[12:29]is separate from the beliefs and it's through our intellect that we
[12:32]will find our religion and we know what right and wrong is
[12:37]why Arif will be al-hasan minim kabir so people you don't have
[12:41]to be religious to know what right is and what wrong is
[12:42]and the purpose of religion Allah subhana Allah sent prophets and messengers
[12:48]to uphold the justice that people already know what's in there they
[12:52]already know it's in their mind the purpose of religions is to
[13:00]uphold that and to establish justice so establishing justice is the essence
[13:06]of Islam second when you see injustice what is your duty as
[13:10]a Muslim as a believer in God as a person who prays
[13:15]and fast and go to goes to Hajj if you see injustice
[13:19]what's your duty there are some like shake who comes and says
[13:23]it's haram to protest well this contradicts the soul of Islam this
[13:28]contradicts a very important essence of Islam a concept of amiable Maroof
[13:35]when they are lunker and joining the good and forbidding the evil
[13:40]and joining the good and forbidding the evil is an obligation upon
[13:44]every Muslim every single one of us you don't need to be
[13:47]in a position of power you don't need to be a scholar
[13:49]you need to enjoin the good and forbid the evil whether there's
[13:55]good and evil going on in your house or it's at a
[13:57]global scale at a government scale at a larger something that is
[14:03]even above you you have to stand against it Allah says in
[14:07]the Quran quantum Hyeon met in Oakridge at Lena's meruna Bill Maher
[14:11]oof what's unknown and won't come you are the greatest of Nations
[14:17]as long as you enjoin the good and forbid the evil the
[14:21]moment the Muslims stop enjoining the good and stop forbidding the evil
[14:26]then you will see the decline of the Muslims and this is
[14:30]why we see the Muslims are in a decline this is why
[14:31]we see Muslims are ruled by dictators they silence dissent and there
[14:38]are some who use books of hadith and fabricated narrations of rasulullah
[14:43]sallallahu alayhi wa ala which tell people to be quiet in the
[14:46]face of an oppressor but the Quran tells us about enjoining the
[14:49]good and forbidding the evil in fact those who do not enjoin
[14:56]the good and forbid the evil those are cursed Allah says in
[15:00]the Quran lonna Lavina Cafaro min Benny Ezra naina Lavina kafar woman
[15:04]Bani Israel Elias I need a would wash Abney Mariam dhalika Bhima
[15:12]osawa Kanu yatta doon Kanu Latin ahuna and one current fellow libitum
[15:19]economy of Arun Allah says some of the Israelites they are cursed
[15:28]by Dawood by David and Jesus why because when they saw a
[15:30]moon car when they saw wrong in their come Unity's they did
[15:34]not object they did not protest against it they did not enjoin
[15:37]the good and forbid the evil and therefore they're cursed so what
[15:42]does what do we understand from this we understand from this that
[15:47]any time we see injustice any time we see oppression we have
[15:50]to stand against it this is from the Quran and then we
[15:54]have hadith from Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa ala in which he says
[15:58]man wah I mean come on Karen Feli okay Iroha be either
[16:00]if you see mon coeur if you see wrong you have to
[16:05]stop it with your hands fan let me estaba fabulous on a
[16:08]and if you can't with your hands then with your tongue speaking
[16:11]out against it for a lamb yesterday fabric I'll be with Alec
[16:17]with a LaCava Philemon and if you can't with your heart and
[16:22]that is the lowest of faith when the sort of law says
[16:25]you have to stop it with your hands or with your tongue
[16:27]what does that mean doesn't that mean protesting protesting what is a
[16:32]protest some people when they hear of protests they imagine riding and
[16:34]people that are causing fitna no protest means that you're allowed to
[16:40]speak out against the injustice that you see not only you're allowed
[16:44]to but you have to it's an obligation upon any Muslim in
[16:49]another hadith from imam hussein alehissalaam and he says I heard Rasulullah
[16:55]sallallahu alayhi wa he says Johannes and novice on allah sallallahu alayhi
[17:00]wa ala ma min consult on Anjar Aaron musta Helen Ramallah knocketh
[17:11]and bij McAuliffe and listen until rasool allah ya mal feei bad
[17:18]he believed me well Advan Phelim yo yo Holly Heba : well
[17:22]AB can happen Allah Allah and neutral home at Cana he says
[17:28]I heard Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa ala saying whoever sees a soap
[17:33]on a person who's a sultan a person of authority who is
[17:36]breaking the laws of allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and going against the
[17:43]sunnah of rasulallah saw mama hana hana and oppressing people and person
[17:47]does not say anything with action or with words then this person
[17:54]will be entered into the Hellfire and this is why imam hussain
[17:57]ali said i'm he spoke out against the is eat mammal per
[18:00]se knows what's helada knows how long Mahmud Hussain was not after
[18:04]the dunya and I'm saying he spoke out against injustice and he
[18:10]protested the injustice that was going on now we said establishing justice
[18:16]and joining the good and forbidding the evil third every person has
[18:22]a right to defend themselves Islam gives you the right to defend
[18:26]yourself if you are being oppressed if someone is oppressing you if
[18:32]someone is taking away your right if someone is person you're persecuting
[18:36]you how can someone come and say Islam says it's Haram to
[18:40]protest if people why would people protest from the first place people
[18:43]who protest they're the ones who see injustice they're the ones who
[18:48]have been oppressed they're the ones who are being abused they're the
[18:51]ones who are marginalized in societies and communities and the Quran gives
[18:56]you the power and the authority to speak out against the injustice
[19:00]now your help Allah he'll jar Ebisu Imanol told Allah and William
[19:05]what can Allah who Semyon Halima Allah does not like people to
[19:09]come and speak out evil except those who have been oppressed if
[19:15]you have been oppressed and you have to then you have the
[19:18]right to speak out don't come and say oh this is Reba
[19:22]this is this and that no if you are if you're oppressed
[19:24]then you have to speak out and this is why as Muslims
[19:28]we have to stand with the oppressed we have to stand with
[19:33]those who have been oppressed and these are the teachings of Islam
[19:36]these are the teachings of rasulallah salallahu alaihe Rasul Allah when he
[19:41]established a government he defended the oppressed he didn't silence those who
[19:45]were oppressed the religion of Islam and the Quran stood with those
[19:49]who are oppressed against the oppressor Ameer al-mumineen Ali ibn ABI Taleb
[19:56]alayhis-salam he tells his sons Imam Hasan and Husayn in his Rasul
[20:00]yeah he tells him lavalla me Hussman well Elmo flew Munna be
[20:05]an enemy of the oppressor and be a supporter be an ally
[20:11]of the one who has been oppressed this is the essence of
[20:14]Islam this is the Quran if you have been wronged then you
[20:19]have to speak out you must speak out kunai Delilah me husband
[20:27]well it move Lumia una even if you see two people to
[20:31]mock minion they're fighting with one another you have to stand with
[20:37]the one who is being oppressed against the one who's oppressing Allah
[20:42]says in the Quran faqatilu let e GG hot at sofia allah
[20:46]umbrella for in fat faster Habana vena Houma Balad Lavazza poo in
[20:56]Allahabad mock city even if the grandpa if a tiny'mon L mean
[20:59]the verse says if there are too much minion - they're on
[21:04]your side if you see one is oppressing the other you have
[21:07]to stand with the oppressed against the oppressor and of course you
[21:10]have to try to unite them you have to try to bring
[21:14]them together so we have many verses in the Quran we have
[21:16]many hadith and we have examples in the Quran Allah subhana Allah
[21:23]gives us several examples in the Quran one example is moosa and
[21:28]haroon why did why did allah subhanaw taala sent sent prophet musa
[21:32]and harun to the pit to the israelites ha ba la una
[21:38]in Naha now that preacher I was I heard a short talk
[21:44]that he gave he says that this is an example of a
[21:46]nation before the Muslims and we that does not apply to us
[21:50]this is a very silly argument because the Quran is for everyone
[21:53]the Quran gives us overall concepts the Quran gives us overall objectives
[21:58]here he comes and he says you know he says this is
[22:04]something that was the Israelites and this does not apply to us
[22:06]but the fasting on the Day of Ashura they come and they
[22:09]swear on the Quran that you have to do it because the
[22:10]Prophet SAW some of the Israelites doing it you see the double
[22:15]standards and then my sort of Lhasa Allah Allah you Ally when
[22:19]he was in Quraish Rasool Allah and met KS he did not
[22:23]fight he did not raise arms but a sort of lot did
[22:27]protest Rasool Allah did speak out against the injustice and the whole
[22:29]reason why I sort of last spoke out against the injustice was
[22:32]why Rasul Allah and the Muslims were persecuted now sort of light
[22:36]didn't just bring the religion you go and you practice your religion
[22:39]in your mosque and then you go and you see injustice and
[22:40]you don't care about it no no sort of lies stood against
[22:45]injustice wherever he saw it and Abu Sufyan and Abu jahil and
[22:49]those Kafar they didn't like that because islam was not only bringing
[22:53]a religion islam was changing the lifestyle so this is why they
[22:57]objected and I'm surprised at those who come and say you know
[23:06]it's Haram to protest an object against a volumn when the Sahaba
[23:10]themselves they were the first to to protest they were the first
[23:14]to object the Sahaba they objected go and read what the Sahaba
[23:20]did go and read the lives of the Sahaba immediately after also
[23:24]Lala Salama Holly you are some of them even during the life
[23:28]of Russell of LOD they had the audacity to protest against Rasulullah
[23:31]some of my Holly who had a sort of luck gave them
[23:33]the freedom of expression so Allah didn't persecute anyone for for disrespecting
[23:38]or protesting against some of the decisions of rasulallah saw mama Holly
[23:43]honey and then after the Prophet the Sahaba began to protest against
[23:50]one another once Abu Bakr came to power one of the Sahaba
[23:53]the leader of one of the groups of the Sahaba SATA B
[23:58]Nevada sadly been our badda the leader of the has ROG he
[24:03]protested against the leadership of Abu Bakr and he did not give
[24:08]baya to Abu Bakr this is an example of a protest oz
[24:11]man when he came to power what happened to us man man
[24:16]the Muslims they themselves they protested against him the Muslims the Sahaba
[24:21]they themselves they protested and they placed him under siege and until
[24:24]he was killed and some of those who protested against earth man
[24:31]because of his corruption were some of the leaders of the Sahaba
[24:34]Asha she comes out and she brings the shirts of rasulallah salallahu
[24:38]alaihe anna she takes it out of the house and she says
[24:42]the shirt of rasulallah is still around and man has gone against
[24:46]the sunnah of rasulallah bal ha who is considered from one of
[24:51]the 10 promised paradise according to the hadith which we don't accept
[24:55]but he's considered from one of the a shirahama Bashara well ha
[24:58]he was one of those who instigated against earth man and in
[25:04]fact he carried the arrow and he was shooting arrows earth man
[25:07]so for someone to come and say that protesting is haram than
[25:12]going object to the Sahaba what the Sahaba did now protesting the
[25:21]Sahaba they did it and the and it made they also protested
[25:26]as well because protesting there's nothing wrong with it it's the as
[25:29]it goes with the essence of Islam and Islam gives us that
[25:34]freedom of expression even when the Prost protester is wrong the protester
[25:38]has the freedom to express themselves according to the Islamic teachings Ameer
[25:43]al-mumineen ali IBN ABI talib he used to go out and stand
[25:46]in the number and preach and there were some of the Muslims
[25:50]that would protest against amirul mumineen they would protest they would defy
[25:56]ali IBN ABI talib it has said that once and the month
[25:59]of Ramadan began Ameer al-mumineen he sent a mammal Hassan to go
[26:02]and tell the Muslims to not pray the taraweeh prayer because this
[26:05]is a big aah the Prophet never pray taraweeh prayer what did
[26:09]they start doing they started yelling they started protesting and calling out
[26:15]Wasson Tamara why Sunna tomorrow we want the son of armour he
[26:19]tells them ok go ahead you want this enough I'm not go
[26:25]ahead so we have other examples one day amirul mumineen he's praying
[26:28]and one of those men who was a cleric who believed that
[26:31]Ameer al-mumineen was a kafir Ameer al-mumineen allowed that man to speak
[26:38]he would keep cutting off the Imam in the middle of his
[26:41]prayer the Imam didn't do I mean many new Abdur I'm an
[26:46]urban mode Jim was a I'm hearin momineen did not do anything
[26:50]he gave them the freedom of expression but yes those who have
[26:56]no no logic and nothing to defend themselves right away they come
[27:00]and they say protesting is haram protesting is a sin no protesting
[27:04]is not a sin now another very important point some people today
[27:09]become and they say I see people protesting here all over the
[27:14]world people are protesting who should i side with who should I
[27:17]be with can I join any movement that is protesting an act
[27:23]of oppression that's going on the answer my dear brothers and sisters
[27:27]is that we Muslims we have to be very careful we should
[27:30]not ride the bandwagon immediately there are some they see whatever is
[27:34]trending on Twitter whatever is friending on on social media and right
[27:38]away they come and they join it don't join the bandwagon unless
[27:43]you know who you're supporting there are some movements that have some
[27:51]some motives that are not announced to the people so you have
[27:55]to know exactly who you're supporting but yes we have a general
[27:58]principle that teaches us to stand with the oppressed so you have
[28:04]the right to stand with an individual with a human being as
[28:07]a human being that is being oppressed but that doesn't mean that
[28:13]you come and you join the thought process and everything that this
[28:17]person believes in we have to be very careful there are some
[28:20]movements that might come with the intention of were fighting injustice but
[28:25]they might have some hidden agendas you have to be very careful
[28:29]from that and you have to do your own research to make
[28:31]sure that you're not supporting any wrong movements but to support a
[28:37]human being because they're being oppressed there's nothing wrong with that even
[28:40]if that person is a sinner even if that person is a
[28:43]catheter if they're being oppressed you have to defend them you have
[28:45]to support them you have to help them Allah describes that if
[28:52]the mushrikeen if an idol worshipper when in a stage are like
[28:56]Adam McKeen for a German if one of the mushrikeen comes in
[28:58]six refuge to you if an idol worshiper seeks refuge to you
[29:01]give this person refuge this is the this is the Quran because
[29:06]it teaches us to establish justice but yes just because I'm defending
[29:10]this person doesn't mean that I have to I have to you
[29:14]know adopt this person's thought process and this person's thinking I'm your
[29:17]own minion he says it very beautifully in his letter to Malik
[29:20]Ashtar he tells him and NASA son fan in like a 15-hour
[29:26]now they run like a fan huh people are in two categories
[29:29]either your brother and faith or your counterparts in creation and you
[29:34]have there you have to defend a human being because they're a
[29:40]human being now yes sometimes it gets very you know it gets
[29:44]in the gray area you don't know who to defend here you
[29:47]have to be careful before following the trend and before making a
[29:51]big movement and you know creating a hashtag and doing all of
[29:54]these things you have to be very careful that which movement you're
[30:01]supporting during the time of amirul mumineen ollie of nebith on it
[30:04]some of the Muslims they were confused because as soon as amirul
[30:06]mumineen came to power well ha and zubayr and i said they
[30:12]waged a war against amirul mumineen they went to Basra and from
[30:17]there they gathered an army and I mean Romanian kept trying to
[30:20]stop the battle until the battle began and thousands of Muslims were
[30:25]killed because they rebelled against I mean what meaning that was a
[30:29]protest that was a protest by them now whether it was right
[30:36]or wrong it was a protest here a man comes to amirul
[30:38]mumineen before the battle begins or in the middle of the battle
[30:43]by the name of al hadith had been how he came to
[30:45]Emir and minion and he tells him I cannot I cannot understand
[30:51]what's going on before during the time of rasulallah the muslims used
[30:55]to fight non-muslims but this is the first civil war in islam
[30:57]how can it be the ayah and pol hand zubayr they're all
[31:02]in the wrong and we are fighting them so here amirul mumineen
[31:08]tells him yaha Roth a new home and Busan a lake when
[31:15]L hot towel bath alaya a fan - when I can or
[31:21]Phil hock tariff Ella water-filled battle tariff Minh at a very beautiful
[31:27]and this is something that we should live our lives by a
[31:30]golden rule that you live by he says that al Haq well
[31:37]battle right and wrong should not be defined by people but rather
[31:42]you define people by right and wrong so when you see someone
[31:46]that is in the right you follow the right not that person
[31:50]blindly and if you see someone's doing something wrong then you stand
[31:54]against that person some one of the problems that we have in
[31:59]society and I see this you know this happens a lot with
[32:01]Muslims and this comes as a result of ignorance is that we
[32:06]begin to idolize people and we forget we're right and wrong is
[32:09]we start looking at an individual and then we start ideal idolizing
[32:13]that person and then suddenly this person might do something wrong and
[32:17]then we don't know what to do we don't know where to
[32:22]stand because we see a person who we have idolized who has
[32:25]begun to do something wrong here amir al-mu'minin says don't idolize people
[32:29]follow what's right and if someone is on the right than yours
[32:35]with this person and stand against what's wrong and if someone is
[32:37]in the wrong then you stand against this person this is what
[32:42]the religion of islam teaches us so my dear brothers and sisters
[32:45]I would conclude by reminding myself and reminding everyone that we have
[32:50]to stand with justice and we have to stand with the oppressed
[32:53]against the oppressor whoever the oppressor maybe we ask Allah Subhanahu WA
[33:00]Ta'ala to remove the fitna from our lives and keep us always
[33:05]on the side of the mean those the believers who are standing
[33:09]with justice when hamdu lillahi rabbil alameen wa sallahu Hamedan wala alibi
