[0:00]foreign in our last lesson regarding Islamic jurisprudence we mentioned a few
[0:57]verdicts from say this law regarding prayer and the ears that someone
[1:03]might commit in prayer we mentioned two verdicts if you remember and
[1:09]we focused on number one if someone adds a part to his
[1:19]prayer if he performs an action which is considered Ziad an additional
[1:24]part in his prayer does this need to be intentional or could
[1:30]it be done even without intending on it being an additional part
[1:37]we spoke about that secondly we spoke about what happens if a
[1:48]person adds a forward account or a rukua or two sajdas of
[1:56]the same in Salat out of unawareness so someone out of unawareness
[2:02]he's for example thinking about school as he's praying or he's thinking
[2:07]about a problem that is taking place in his life and because
[2:12]he's in that state of unawareness he adds a full record to
[2:19]his prayer or he adds or he adds two sajdas in the
[2:27]same record so he performs four such does in reality in one
[2:29]of the car what happens here his Salat becomes void it becomes
[2:37]invalid yes say it mentions that in the case of Ruku and
[2:52]Italian if someone adds a Ruku or to sajdas of the same
[2:59]raka than based on mandatory precaution as Salat will be void will
[3:04]be bottled actually it's even possible based on the wording of the
[3:28]fatwa that the etiot uh goes back to darika as well but
[3:37]I'll have to double check on that nonetheless today inshallah we're gonna
[3:40]take a new uh verdict regarding uh these errors that are performed
[3:47]in Salat and so is in verdict 8 38 in volume one
[4:11]he says that if a person omits a specific part of Salat
[4:22]and that is done out of unawareness so he's not omitting part
[4:29]of the Salat because he's playing around or he's doing this woefully
[4:36]no he went into a state of unawareness a state of sahu
[4:39]and because of that he omitted part of the Salat for example
[4:46]Rami was performing Salat as he's performing he recitesha and then he
[4:58]forgot to recite another Surah after al-fatiha he was in a state
[5:05]of sahu in a state of unawareness and so he went straight
[5:11]from after saying so he omitted what the second Surah after Surat
[5:27]al-fatiha is talking about this issue last week we talked about what
[5:33]adding something into the prayer adding something into the prayer now he
[5:40]is talking about subtracting something from the prayer omitting something omitting part
[5:49]of the prayer foreign he says when someone omits part of the
[6:03]prayer out of unawareness if that person realizes what he has done
[6:12]before he goes into um before he reaches a specific part in
[6:31]Salat where he is unable to perform the part that he omitted
[6:37]then what he should do is perform that part again and perform
[6:42]all the parts that come after it is he says however if
[7:00]he reaches a point in the prayer where he's no longer able
[7:09]to go back and perform the part that he omitted and all
[7:12]the parts that come after it he's no longer able to go
[7:17]back then here we have to see what is the part that
[7:22]was omitted was it a rokin a pillar and a prayer or
[7:24]not if it was a Rokon a pillar then his prayer is
[7:32]void it's invalid he has to repeat it but if the part
[7:41]he omitted was not arokan then his prayer is correct up until
[7:49]now the verdict is very vague so let me explain with examples
[7:54]let's go back to Rami Rami is praying and he he's in
[8:02]the first he recites Surat Al Fatiha and then out of unawareness
[8:11]he forgets to recite the next Surah as he's about to go
[8:20]into the core he's still standing okay but he has intended I'm
[8:24]gonna go into the core and he realizes that he has not
[8:32]recited a second Surah after ad Fatiha so what is these are
[8:36]supposed to do here because he has not entered rukua yet because
[8:40]he's still standing he has not entered what we call the boundaries
[8:49]of rukua then he should recite the second Surah after Surat Fatiha
[8:55]for example he'll recites and after he finishes the Surah he goes
[9:01]into the core and continues his Salat and continues and completes her
[9:09]Salat his Salat in this case will be valid it will be
[9:13]valid whereas iframi is praying and he recites and then out of
[9:22]unawareness he forgets to recite the second Surah after al-fatiha and he
[9:30]goes into the core once he goes into rukua he enters the
[9:33]boundaries of rukuo he realizes I have not recited any Surah after
[9:40]Al Fatiha was it what is he supposed to do in this
[9:44]case is he supposed to go back up recite the second Surah
[9:48]and then go into rukua no he can't do that anymore why
[9:53]because he has entered he has entered so here what's gonna happen
[9:59]his Salat will be valid although he missed doing part of the
[10:05]Salat which is reading a full chapter after Surat al-fatiha why will
[10:10]it be valid because when he missed that part of the Salat
[10:14]number one that part is not a Roku it's not a pillar
[10:17]remember the pillars are what Ania the intention the first is standing
[10:42]up and standing up before you go into ruko those are the
[10:50]pillars of the prayer reading the second Surah after IL Fatiha reading
[10:55]the Surah after al-fatiha is it mandatory yes it is is it
[11:01]a pillar no it's not so because he missed a part which
[11:10]is not a Roku and that was out of unawareness it was
[11:14]not done intentionally and he entered a rokin he entered that in
[11:22]this case he continues his prayer and his prayer will be valid
[11:30]yes it would be good to perform after his prayer because of
[11:39]the Surah that he missed based on the verdicts of sadistani So
[11:43]based on the recommended precaution in this case specifically it would be
[11:54]good to recite to perform sajita after Salat but it's not a
[11:59]must to perform in this case specifically and his prayer will be
[12:04]okay now sometimes the part that you're missing in Salah that you're
[12:22]omitting out of an awareness is a rokin this is where things
[12:27]get more interesting here if you get to a point where you're
[12:33]unable to go back and fix the mistake because you've missed a
[12:44]rokin your Salat becomes invalid and inshallah says sunny will explain this
[12:49]in detail later on after a few lines or sentences so stay
[12:56]tuned for example Khalid was praying he was praying he performed and
[13:15]he forgot rukua he was thinking about you know an issue between
[13:20]him and his wife and because of that if we occupied him
[13:24]so instead of going into rukua what happened he went straight into
[13:33]sujut he did the first sajdah he got up from the first
[13:39]sajdah recited and he went into the second sajdah so what did
[13:44]he do here he entered a rokin and he missed arokun he
[13:52]is no longer able to go back to fix the mistake because
[13:56]he has entered arokun a new pillar because of that although he
[14:05]omitted Ruku out of unawareness it's not that he did this unintentionally
[14:09]although he omitted out of unawareness his Salat will still be invalid
[14:20]why because his Salat is missing a pillar which is and he's
[14:24]unable to go back and fix the mistake had he remembered before
[14:32]going into the second sajdah before going into this new Rokon he
[14:36]could have fixed the mistake and could have done the Ruku and
[14:41]then done all of the actions that are required after to make
[14:47]his Salat correct and so they say it says now Sayed mentions
[15:19]that when someone omits one sajdah not two remember the two sajdas
[15:27]of one Erika of the same record they are a pillar but
[15:32]one sajdah on its own of a specific Erica of any record
[15:38]is not a pillar so if someone omits one sajdah from anirika
[15:46]in his prayer out of unawareness then even if he reaches a
[15:56]point where he's no longer able to go back and fix the
[16:02]mistake his prayer will be correct but at the end of the
[16:05]Salat when he finishes it he has to perform cover of what
[16:13]of the sajdah the sahaja that he missed so here is say
[16:18]it is notifying us that just as we have kava for a
[16:24]full prayer for example you sleep during Fajr and you wake up
[16:28]after Sunrise hence you make up salad there's also kabba for not
[16:35]all the parts some parts in prayer have to be made up
[16:39]after the prayer if you miss them one is the sajdah one
[16:47]sajda from a specific you make it up after the prayer the
[16:57]second part of Salat which is made up but it's not mandatory
[17:05]to perform its cover is foreign if the part he forgot to
[17:31]do was one sajdah of one specific record s and the same
[17:46]applies if uh the part he forgot was based on recommended precaution
[17:53]when he says based on recommended precaution he's telling you with Tasha
[17:58]Hood if you miss at the shahud out of unawareness and you
[18:02]get to a point where you're unable to go back and fix
[18:07]the mistake then it's best to make up the tashahood after the
[18:10]prayer but it's not mandatory that he says um [Music] realized when
[18:26]we were explaining his verdict is Sayyid mentioned that a person gets
[18:34]to a point where he is no longer able to go back
[18:38]and fix the mistake how does that happen how what is this
[18:45]point that he's talking about a say it now will explain but
[18:49]we will not uh mention all the details today because the verdict
[18:53]is quite long so we'll start with some details and inshallah in
[18:59]the upcoming weeks we'll take more details Vietnam he says that there
[19:07]are several um several scenarios where a person gets to a point
[19:16]such that he's he gets to a point in the prayer such
[19:21]that he's unable to go back and fix the mistake there are
[19:27]several reasons or if you want say several Deeds that can be
[19:34]done which uh lead you to that point the point where you
[19:39]can not go back and fix the mistake so the first one
[19:48]he mentions the first deed or the first scenario is the first
[20:03]deed is what entering the upcoming see we mentioned there are five
[20:10]arcan right and if you want you can make them six because
[20:14]there are two types of kriander or rokni that are pillars now
[20:21]in Salat you're gonna perform the arcan some of the arkan multiple
[20:31]times like you have four records all of these rukos or what
[20:38]arkan pillars you have four sets of two sajdas each set of
[20:45]two sajdas is so those are also four at a cam right
[20:48]you have that's one so you have you have multiple at a
[20:55]can that you're performing in Salat and of course you have a
[21:00]Nia the intention which has to be present from the beginning of
[21:04]the prayer to the end of the prayer so say it says
[21:11]when someone enters the new Rokon the upcoming Rokon him entering that
[21:19]rukun makes him unable to go back and fix the mistake so
[21:27]if you omitted part of the prayer out of unawareness and you've
[21:34]entered because you've entered the nurokun you cannot go back and fix
[21:45]the mistake now he gives examples foreign he says if someone forgot
[22:06]Surat al-fatiha all right he forgotiha again he went into a state
[22:11]of unawareness he forgotiha and he went into Ruku once he went
[22:21]once he went he went into Ruku he remembered oh I did
[22:24]not read Surah Fatiha in this case he's not required and actually
[22:33]cannot go back to repeat what he should do is perform the
[22:40]rukua and all the parts that come after it correctly and his
[22:42]Salat will be valid it will be good it will be valid
[22:48]yes at the end of the prayer it would be better to
[22:51]perform the same applies if someone forgets the chapter after Surat Al
[23:01]Fatiha because after suratul Fatiha we have to read one full chapter
[23:05]such as Etc he says the same applies if someone forgot part
[23:19]of each of the two surahs part of and part of the
[23:26]other Surah for example again our friend Khaled was praying right he
[23:32]was in his second and he recited then he became unaware as
[23:43]in he went into a state of unawareness he began thinking of
[23:47]something something else and he went straight into Surah he said Bismillah
[23:52]again he began thinking of family issues spousal issues life issues and
[24:00]so he went into the core and he remembers I did not
[24:11]recite all of Surat al-fatiha nor did I recite Allah valid yes
[24:16]can he go back and fix the mistake by reciting the whole
[24:22]chapter of Al Fatiha and the whole chapter of anasir no because
[24:26]he entered what the upcoming which was yeah he says and the
[24:40]same applies if he um he mixed both surahs with each other
[24:50]in better terms he recited al-fatiha after reciting the full chapter he
[25:02]recites usually after and Fatiha so had it again Khaled is praying
[25:08]in his first okay he says and then he recites and then
[25:17]he recites in Fatiha this is wrong right if Fatiha comes first
[25:23]and then you recite a full chapter after and Fatiha but this
[25:25]person out of unawareness out of sahu he recited a full chapter
[25:32]for example in the class and then he recited and then he
[25:39]went into rukuo when he enters he remembers what have I done
[25:42]I I recited after the short Surah after the other Surah when
[25:52]it should be the other way around can he go back to
[25:57]fix the mistake no is it Salat valid yes his Salat is
[26:02]valid then he says yeah foreign he says however if that person
[26:30]realizes the mistake he did before he goes into ruko before he
[26:36]enters what we called the boundaries of what's the boundary of to
[26:42]enter you have to Bow Down to an extent where the tips
[26:51]of your fingers reach your knees if you've bowed down to an
[26:57]extent where the tips of your fingers reach your knees then you
[27:01]have entered but if you've if you're still standing or you have
[27:10]you know Venture back to a certain extent but you have not
[27:16]bent it to the extent where uh the tips of the fingers
[27:23]reach reach your knees reach your knees then you have not entered
[27:29]the boundaries of rukua in that case you have to go back
[27:35]and fix the mistake you have to go back and fix the
[27:40]mistake and your Salat will be correct it will be valid but
[27:48]how do you fix the mistake you perform the part that you
[27:54]omitted and then you perform all of those parts that naturally come
[27:58]after it here we have a few examples Ahmad was praying I'm
[28:16]not talking about of course some individual called hamar Amar was praying
[28:26]in South Malaysia in the second he recited and Fatiha and then
[28:34]he was about to go into ruko out of unawareness because he
[28:39]was preoccupied with something else so he went into a state of
[28:45]sahu unawareness and he was about to go into the war but
[28:48]as he's standing he has not even bent his back he remembered
[28:53]there's a full chapter that I have not recited after Al Fatiha
[28:58]so here what does he do simply he recites the full chapter
[29:02]for example and then he goes into uruko and continues his Salat
[29:07]here his Salat is A-Okay that is correct valid all right let's
[29:20]give a second example again with Amar hamar is performing in the
[29:31]second when he begins the second he's standing up because he's thinking
[29:36]about school he's in a state of unawareness he recites and he
[29:48]realizes wait I have not even recited so now what should he
[29:54]do he's still standing he has not even bent his back so
[29:57]he has not entered the boundaries of rukua so what does he
[30:01]do he has to recite and Fatiha and he recites the full
[30:08]chapter after it yes the part he omitted was what al-fatiha and
[30:13]he has already recited a full chapter but normally or say naturally
[30:20]when you're praying you're supposed to recital Fatiha first and then a
[30:26]full chapter after it and so to fix his mistake he should
[30:29]recite and Fatiha and a full chapter after it and then he
[30:34]goes into [Music] and then he completes his Salat and his Salat
[30:43]will be valid her Salat will be valid also um also in
[31:02]this case because he has added a he has added Surat before
[31:10]Surat Al Fatiha then it would be better for him to perform
[31:14]sahu after the prayer although it's not worship one second let me
[31:40]give a third example and then we'll listen to hamza's question Amar
[31:49]is praying and he performs his second perfectly but after the second
[32:02]sajdah in the second record he forgets the shahud again out of
[32:11]what unawareness so he forgets the shahud and he stands up and
[32:15]starts with the third Erika as he's doing it he remembers wait
[32:24]I did not performed the shahud in the second what is he
[32:28]supposed to do here has he entered arocon no is not a
[32:39]Roku right now he's reading he's reading he has not entered a
[32:47]pillar the pillar is what the upcoming pillar is the third and
[32:51]so he should stop the reading stop the recitation of its bihad
[32:59]or Surah sit down so he basically breaks dakia he sits down
[33:06]performs the shahud and then he gets back up and what he
[33:13]repeats and he completes his Salat that's what he is supposed to
[33:21]do now bear in mind that foreign there are uh there are
[33:43]there are a bunch of laws and also uh interesting details that
[33:53]we need to know in regards to sujood so so for now
[33:56]I'm just going to focus on the prayer right and if you
[34:01]want later on we can look into uh Ada in order to
[34:13]know when exactly should be done okay because I don't want to
[34:21]every once in a while mention as we are reading these akam
[34:27]it would be simpler to just focus on right now and then
[34:32]mention when is it necessary for a person to do sahu and
[34:35]when is it good for him to do it based on recommended
[34:40]precaution perhaps after this verdict we can look into that quickly and
[34:45]then come back to these uh vertices Hamza you had a question
[34:57]yes I did if Amar is reading best he didn't finish Surah
[35:09]and he realized no I should have not been reading that class
[35:11]come on so he's reading in the class in in the in
[35:23]the secondary car you mean that's a good question I have to
[35:50]check okay no problem that's not in my mind but I'll check
[35:53]for it inshallah uh Ali you have a question too doesn't seem
[36:21]like it okay we're almost done oh let me see if we
[36:25]have enough time to continue almost done okay so he said um
[36:44]foreign [Music] tells us what happens if someone omits if someone omits
[37:04]a rokin what happens if someone omits a rokin out of unawareness
[37:10]so he starts with and he says if someone forgets then his
[37:17]prayer is void in all cases how so because the beginning of
[37:30]the prayer the prayer is opened it's begun uh through so if
[37:38]someone came a person came and wanted to praise by the way
[37:56]you don't have to pronounce as long as it's in your heart
[37:59]that's enough and then he began reciting alhamdulillah hold on for a
[38:08]second foreign right when he remembers that he did not perform he'll
[38:15]know that he has not even started the Salat and so he
[38:19]has to do what to perform and then do all of them
[38:25]all the mandatory Deeds that come after it so whatever he was
[38:31]doing was not actually uh Salat it was not a valid Salat
[38:37]hence you say it says that person that person's prayer is invalid
[38:43]in all cases so whether he remembers that he did not perform
[38:50]as he was still reciting or the Surah after it or he
[38:58]remembers after he goes into rukua in both cases his prayer that
[39:04]specific part which people might call prayer Salat is invalid so he
[39:11]has to do what he has to uh get up rise and
[39:17]perform and then perform all of the mandatory Deeds that come after
[39:25]it all right what if the Roku was not it was of
[39:33]the same sorry sorry he says foreign that the same applies if
[40:06]he forgot if he forgot Ruku until he did what until he
[40:26]went into the next Roku then here his prayer will be invalid
[40:38]but if he remembers that he forgot before he enters the next
[40:46]rookon then he can go back and fix the mistake so he'll
[40:54]go back and he'll perform the way it's supposed to be performed
[40:59]and he'll perform all of the actions that come after it he
[41:10]says also if someone forgets the two sajdas that are of the
[41:18]same Erika up until he enters the next Roku then in this
[41:26]case his Salat will be void based on mandatory precaution bear in
[41:31]mind the word mandatory precaution Allah might also apply based on the
[41:38]wording of the verdict to ruko as well it might also apply
[41:44]to ruko so then he adds saying he says if someone forgets
[42:00]the two such does of the same until he goes into the
[42:02]upcoming ruko he goes into the next pillar then his Salat will
[42:08]be void and he's he won't be able to go back and
[42:11]fix the mistake for example Leila was praying I will use the
[42:17]example of a lady we don't want the feminist to come after
[42:25]us anyways Leila um is praying Salah and she performs everything correctly
[42:33]however in the third Erica she performs and gets up from and
[42:44]for some reason she does what she forgets the two sajdas for
[42:51]example she goes down and she sits down she's for example thinking
[43:01]of something that preoccupies her she just sits and then she arises
[43:06]all right and she recites because now she considers herself in the
[43:18]fourth Rica she recites it is and she goes into of her
[43:30]fourth because she went into the Ruku of the fourth what happens
[43:41]here personal office void based on mandatory precaution because she did not
[43:47]even perform one sajdah from the third she missed both had she
[43:56]missed only one sajdah then her Salat would have been correct because
[44:02]she enters the next she enters it without performing the sajdah out
[44:11]of unawareness but because she misses both sajdas then what happens here
[44:18]her Salat becomes bottle it becomes invalid all right any uh questions
[44:34]yes I have a question yes one second sorry actually I'll just
[44:48]uh explain one last sentence and then I'll listen to your questions
[44:54]or if the person who forgets his two sajdas of the same
[45:08]remembers that he forgot them before he enters the boundaries of rukor
[45:15]then he can go back and fix them and say he can
[45:16]go back do the two sajdas and then do all the way
[45:22]that come after them and his prayer will be valid so in
[45:27]the case of Layla when she's and her third that I got
[45:32]and she sits down she gets up for example for the fourth
[45:35]Rica without performing the two sajdas as she's saying it she remembers
[45:40]I did not perform the two sajjas of the third so she
[45:44]goes down into the two sajdas sorry she she goes down she
[45:50]does the two sajdas right one after the other and then performs
[45:53]all the obligations that come after the two sajdas in that case
[46:02]her Salat is valid alhamdulillah next week inshallah we're going to continue
[46:12]the verdict it's not done yet there are some more details that
[46:17]say the sistani mentions but as I told you it's quite lengthy
[46:21]so inshallah will um will stop here for today and next week
[46:25]we'll continue
