[0:06]Okay.
[0:08]Okay.
[0:42]Okay.
[0:44]Alhamdulillah.
[0:56]We will be beginning our fourth session on the Hajj prep class
[1:04]and this should be the final session where we explain everything that
[1:08]you need to know from A to Z.
[1:12]And inshallah in this session we will be covering the of so
[1:19]we in the previous session we talked about Medina and what do
[1:26]you do in Medina and what to expect in Medina and which
[1:30]is the part where you are entering into Mecca.
[1:34]You have to wear theam.
[1:35]You have to do the in inj we enter into Mecca all
[1:44]the way from Medina to Mecca and then you do seven times
[1:48]around the two and then you do the between andw and you
[1:54]do the and that's it.
[1:57]This is the end of then we will be in Mecca.
[2:04]We will remain in Mecca until the eve of the eve of
[2:07]the 9th of So before we go that can we go to
[2:12]the slides we have the first slide while we're waiting so we're
[2:19]going to enter I believe on the 2nd of June we should
[2:21]be entering in Mecca and when we enter on the 2nd of
[2:26]June that's the departure from Medina to Mecca so we're going to
[2:33]have probably we're going to be done we're we're probably going to
[2:38]be finishing the at time on the 3rd of June.
[2:42]So because by the time you leave and we're probably most likely
[2:46]we should do the at night.
[2:47]You don't want to do during the day.
[2:50]It's too hot.
[2:52]The sun is going to hit you.
[2:53]Avoid doing avoid doing a any outdoor activities during the day as
[2:58]much as possible.
[2:59]Then we have all the way until probably Thursday night.
[3:06]Probably either Wednesday or Thursday night depending on when they announce the
[3:10]So we're going to probably 3 days we're going to remain in
[3:19]Mecca after we've done the you take off theam.
[3:20]You're not in the state ofam anymore after you've done the and
[3:26]we remain in Mecca.
[3:30]During this time, I'm going to go over what are some of
[3:32]the sites that are to be visited in Mecca.
[3:34]Now, do you necessarily have to visit these sites during those three
[3:38]days?
[3:38]No.
[3:39]You could wait after the Hajj because you don't want to exhaust
[3:42]yourself as well.
[3:44]If you're staying a couple days after the Hajj, you could delay
[3:47]some of those for after the Hajj.
[3:49]You don't need to do them all before.
[3:51]But the important sites we will probably we will attempt to do
[3:56]some of them together inshallah as a group during the Omrah when
[3:59]we go we we do all of these we take we get
[4:02]on a bus with a group and we do them.
[4:04]Now during the Hajj there's a lot of things that are unknown
[4:09]and not in our control but we will try our best.
[4:10]I already told them in Medina we want a bus to take
[4:14]us to go and visit and and the and the massid and
[4:18]all of the places and I'm going to ask for one in
[4:23]Mecca.
[4:20]If he provides one that's better if they don't we will book
[4:26]our own bus.
[4:27]We divide it up and we and we and we go and
[4:28]we we do the zas that that that we have to do
[4:32]because you're going there you might as well see these places.
[4:36]So you have the most important place to visit in Mecca is
[4:41]haram.
[4:41]Mazjid haram is the most important place.
[4:46]The salah we mentioned inji is worth 10,000 injam it is worth
[4:51]100,000.
[4:53]So try to go as much as you can and pray inja
[5:01]is a form of it's a form of worship and Allah subhana
[5:07]wa ta'ala speaks about this place.
[5:21]So this is a this is the sanctuary.
[5:25]This is the place that you want to enter.
[5:25]This is where the sins will fall off our shoulders and this
[5:30]is where we could get closer to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
[5:37]So you pray in masjid haram.
[5:38]Now any masjid regard wherever you are any masjid that you enter
[5:42]there is etiquette of dealing with a masjid and that is you
[5:46]want to say salam to a masjid.
[5:48]How do you say salam to a masjid?
[5:51]any masjid in the world wherever you enter you pray two prayers
[5:54]this is the way that you say I sanctify this place and
[5:58]I consider this place a masjid even if it's not salah time
[6:03]I prayers in mazjid when you enter do prayers you could do
[6:06]it on behalf of your family on behalf of your friends on
[6:08]behalf of more than one person each salah it's okay any masjid
[6:15]that we will enter you do mjid inj circumambulating around thea.
[6:27]Now when I say how many times do you do around the
[6:31]cabba seven?
[6:32]Can someone say well I'm tired let me just do one.
[6:37]No when I say I'm going I I keep repeating this but
[6:39]when when I say I mean seven times around the starting at
[6:47]ending at and two prayers two prayers that when I say that's
[6:50]what I mean.
[6:52]Did you do that means I did seven times and two prayers.
[6:55]So when you go to mazjam even if you don't have a
[7:00]if it's daytime avoid doing something that's going to like for example
[7:07]you went for prayer after prayer I would avoid doing because the
[7:09]sun's going to hit you unless you're able to cover your head
[7:12]if you're not you can cover your head but if you can't
[7:17]at night time usually when I go we go after prayer and
[7:20]we we sit for 3 four hours in front of thea you
[7:24]do tala You look at the Kaa, you sit with your friends
[7:28]in an area.
[7:28]It's a relaxed environment while you're waiting for the Hajj.
[7:32]Do try to doaw when you go at night.
[7:35]We could go as a group or a couple friends, two, three
[7:38]people, they could go in and they could do tawaf at their
[7:41]own pace.
[7:42]So this is what we are going to do as much as
[7:46]we can inside mazjid haram.
[7:47]Another thing that is very recommended to do is to drink from
[7:50]the well of zam.
[7:53]Now before I remember the first couple times or first one or
[7:55]two times I went in the early 2000s there was a well
[8:00]next to the Kaa you go downstairs you go down the stairs
[8:02]and they have you could see the pipes and and that was
[8:06]where the well of zam was the location now they've they've flattened
[8:09]it out and they made it a part of the mazjid haram
[8:12]but there are fountains of water and there's containers of water you
[8:16]drink from that that is the water of zum and it has
[8:21]a taste to it it's a well water So, but that is
[8:23]the water of Zam and that is the miracle of Mecca that
[8:26]brought people and inshallah when we're there we'll talk about the story
[8:30]of Ibraim and is and all of these we will cover.
[8:34]So you have the well of zam and then near the haram
[8:41]if we got the chance maybe between the and is going to
[8:44]be very crowded but maybe after we'll do a walking tour around
[8:47]around the haram there is the a location where the the um
[8:54]Abu Talib where the prophet was was placed under sanction it was
[8:59]in the farm that belonged to Abu Talib that was you don't
[9:02]see any sign of It's just around the haram.
[9:06]That was where they remained the the home where Fath was born
[9:09]in the home of Khadijah and it's flat on the ground.
[9:14]They've demolished it, but we could show you the location and the
[9:18]birthplace of Sai is all very close to the haram.
[9:24]The prophet was born in Mecca.
[9:24]So that's um one of the locations near the haram.
[9:29]Walking around the haram, you'll see.
[9:31]And then you have the cemetery of alah.
[9:34]These are two names for the same place.
[9:36]This is where Abu Talib is buried.
[9:38]Abdutalib is buried.
[9:41]Khadijah the ancestors and the family of the prophet.
[9:43]They're buried in this cemetery.
[9:45]Uh it's a burial site.
[9:50]And then you have Jabal.
[9:50]Jabalin is inside that mountain.
[9:53]The mountain is called the mountain of light.
[9:56]Jabal.
[9:57]on top there's a cave by the name of the cave of
[10:00]that was where the revelation came down on the first revelation over
[10:08]there.
[10:08]Now I know a lot of the judge they go and they
[10:14]climb up and they they go and they want to be in
[10:15]that place.
[10:17]There's nothing wrong with climbing up, but I would not recommend going
[10:21]until you're done with the Hajj because you don't want to go
[10:28]slip, exhaust yourself, get tired, and then the Hajj comes and you
[10:31]say, "Oh, yesterday I climbed the mountain and now I can't do
[10:34]my Hajj." You don't want to do that.
[10:36]Do that after after you have the 11th, the the 12th when
[10:42]when the Hajj is done, you want to go climb the mountain.
[10:44]And in this December when when we went with the group, they
[10:50]went even at night time they have lights.
[10:53]So you could even go at nighttime and it's a it's probably
[10:59]a 2hour threehour hike.
[11:02]He says it's e it's easier now.
[11:07]So you want to do it, you can.
[11:12]You don't want to do it, you don't have to.
[11:14]I'll tell you guys one secret.
[11:15]I've been to Hajj seven times many times.
[11:19]I've never been up there.
[11:19]So, it's not like you're missing out on something that it's not
[11:25]a part of the it's it's it adds to the experience.
[11:26]Those who have gone, they kind of made me want to go,
[11:31]but every time when we're there, they would tell us don't go
[11:33]because you're going to ruin your you don't want to ruin your
[11:37]Hajj.
[11:35]If you have time after the Hajj, go up there.
[11:39]So this is regarding um and then there's another mountain that was
[11:47]the mountain when the prophet escaped Mecca and he went to Medina
[11:51]when he escaped he went to Jabal there was another mountain that
[11:57]one no one goes up there it's it's very high up there
[12:01]but um you could see where the mountain is so these are
[12:03]some of the sites and attractions in Mecca and of course from
[12:08]amongst the one of the most important sites and attractions are the
[12:11]shopping centers.
[12:12]I know you guys are all going to enjoy them over there.
[12:15]Um that's that's one of the places.
[12:18]So here, yes, next slide, please.
[12:20]This is the cemetery.
[12:22]So unfortunately like the men will be able to walk inside and
[12:29]you know, you'll be able to see some of the graves.
[12:31]This one it's done.
[12:33]It's by the by the road.
[12:34]So if they let the car stop there, then you'll be able
[12:38]to go and say see the graves from far.
[12:41]If they don't, then we probably we'd you'd have to come down
[12:43]from the car.
[12:45]We'll figure it out.
[12:45]The grave on the right that is circled that is the grave
[12:49]of the mother of fat and the wife of next slide please.
[12:55]That is Jabal.
[12:58]So you see on the left and then you see all the
[12:59]the picture on the left you see all the way in front
[13:04]there's that tower.
[13:06]So that's the the clock tower that's overlooking the cabba.
[13:08]So when you're in Mecca you want to know which way is
[13:11]the cabba you look at the clock tower and you see it's
[13:13]because it's right by the where the cabba is.
[13:16]By the way this clock tower it was just built maybe 20
[13:18]years ago or something.
[13:21]So um it was not there.
[13:23]The cabba was surrounded by by mountains in the right picture.
[13:27]That is the entrance to the the cave of Okay, next slide,
[13:31]please.
[13:32]Now, we're going to talk about the getting ready for the Hajj.
[13:38]This is the important part.
[13:41]This is what makes you a Hajj or does not make you
[13:42]a Hajj because the first part is the Omrah.
[13:45]You could do Omra anytime.
[13:45]Of course, we're doing which enters us into the Hajj.
[13:51]It's connected to the Hajj.
[13:52]So one thing when you first finish the Omrah for the brothers
[14:00]maybe if youram is dirty you could go and give it there's
[14:02]cleaners you know you pay very it's very cheap you go and
[14:06]they'll wash you all your clothes they'll fold them they'll iron them
[14:09]they and then and they give them back to you so you
[14:13]have a fresh set of or you could buy twoams when you
[14:15]when you first begin but I always what I do is I
[14:20]do therah then I wash myam and then I wear I wear
[14:23]it If you want to have another, that's fine.
[14:24]But if you don't want to, then you could just when it
[14:28]gets dirty, you you you use it.
[14:29]For the brothers, you're probably, I mentioned this last time, you're probably
[14:33]going to be wearing your more than what is typically worn during
[14:37]the Hajj.
[14:39]Why?
[14:40]Because we mentioned injam if you want to go to the ground
[14:42]floor, the only way they'll let you enter to the ground floor
[14:47]where you see the ka right in front of you is if
[14:50]they see you wearing aam.
[14:51]So you're you're not even in the knee ofam.
[14:54]You're not you haven't you're you're exited theam but just so that
[14:57]they let you go down a lot of people they just wear
[15:01]theam and then so then it might get dirty because you're you're
[15:05]wearing it frequently.
[15:08]So this is this is um something you you want to buy
[15:11]haram you could buy in Medina there's all all around the hotel
[15:14]we'll we'll go and we'll buy you'll buy the slippers if you
[15:17]need you'll buy the belt.
[15:18]Uh, Hajim Muhammad, you have the belt right next to you.
[15:23]Oh, it's right here.
[15:22]So, we showed you the last time and this is the belt.
[15:29]So, this is the belt.
[15:29]You see it has these straps and it has a place for
[15:34]to put the pocket and it has this right here.
[15:36]You could put a phone in.
[15:37]There's some that come in a little bit bigger.
[15:40]You'll wrap this.
[15:40]You'll wrap this around.
[15:43]You'll wrap this around the And you see it has these metal
[15:49]things.
[15:50]So, it gets, you know, even if someone pulls down on you,
[15:51]it's not nothing's going to get pulled down inshallah.
[15:54]So, so um and it even has zippers on this side.
[15:59]So, you could put anything in the inside part of the B
[16:05]by the way, a lot of people, they might be surprised by
[16:06]this, but there are a lot of thieves over there.
[16:10]There's a lot of people that will they in the while you're
[16:13]doing and you're confus you're trying to hold your and you're they
[16:19]they have I' I've seen this happen to I've seen this happen.
[16:22]They have a person with a small knife they'll cut the and
[16:25]one time someone he brought in $6,000.
[16:28]He came once therah was done he said they took everything from
[16:34]me.
[16:34]So we're not going to take money with us inside busy places.
[16:38]the the hotels they have safes they have they have places where
[16:41]you could leave your amat you could leave them and then you
[16:46]go take a hundred realale take 200 realale with you just enough
[16:49]for taxi money you don't need to take all this money with
[16:53]you um whatever valu something valuable you don't take it in that
[16:57]place because there are people that unfortunately they they they take advantage
[17:01]of the and especially the first timers the first time people do
[17:05]they don't know what's going on and that's when they Um sometimes
[17:08]they get pickpocketed and this happens in the jamat this happens in
[17:15]in the because those are tight places people are bodies are rubbing
[17:19]against one another and that's when they come and they take advantage
[17:24]of that moment.
[17:22]So this is uh on the eth of on the eth of
[17:28]meaning the next day is what and the day after that is
[17:36]the day of the day of the 10th of is the day
[17:39]of the ninth is the day of on the eth at night
[17:41]eve of what do we do we enter into once again so
[17:48]where do you enter into it's preferable that you enter next to
[17:53]mazjam.
[17:53]So if we can for example get the bus to take us
[17:59]and we and we do the once again you you take you
[18:03]do theul just like you did the you do theul and you
[18:08]go you you wear only theam for the sisters you wear the
[18:10]clothes ofam everything is going to become haram on you once again
[18:15]you go next to mazjid haram or if they didn't allow us
[18:18]as as close within Mecca greater Mecca you're also allowed to you
[18:22]go and you do the so what do you do the I
[18:26]enter into the state of in the beginning you said for for
[18:32]Islam this time you don't say for this time you just say
[18:38]I enter into state of forlam if it's not your first you
[18:53]don't say Islam Islam is only for the one who is doing
[18:55]the if it's your second then you say or or if you're
[18:59]doing it then you say but you are what you're entering is
[19:05]and then after you enter what's the next thing that you have
[19:09]to do to initiate it's just the remember we said it's like
[19:17]saying when we enter into the salah you begin by saying You
[19:28]say it once, you're officially muim.
[19:30]Now you enter into the state ofam and everything once again becomes
[19:39]forbidden.
[19:37]24 things we mentioned them last time.
[19:40]Everything becomes forbidden on you.
[19:44]The men can't cover their head.
[19:46]You can't wear mak.
[19:46]You can't wear sewn clothes.
[19:47]the the men the the top of the foot has to be
[19:51]revealed.
[19:51]I mean as as as much as possible it doesn't mean that
[19:55]the whole thing you're wearing you're wearing sandals or whatever it is
[19:58]and all of those things that we mentioned they become haram.
[20:02]So what do we do?
[20:05]We get on the bus and we go to Arafat is about
[20:10]13 kilometers away from Mecca.
[20:12]It's the furthest.
[20:14]So here's here's Mecca and then you have all the way and
[20:17]then you come back down and Mecca.
[20:20]So you're going the furthest and then you're going to start slowly
[20:26]making your way back.
[20:25]So when we go to we go at night that night we
[20:30]rest infat we're waiting for the big day tomorrow which is the
[20:33]day of the day Allah forgives the sins of the hadith says
[20:39]the hadith says that on the day of when the sun sets
[20:45]it sets with the sins of everyone who is infat.
[20:47]But before we talk about what should you take with you going
[20:53]to because when you go to you're entering into 8th at night
[20:59]you have the 9th the whole day and 9th at night we
[21:03]go to malifth in the morning you're in Mina.
[21:04]So up till 10th at noon time you're out.
[21:09]So here I recommend you carry a small bag.
[21:14]No roll on, no roller bag because if you take a roller
[21:17]bag and Mina, they're going to take it away from you.
[21:19]People slip and fall over.
[21:22]They trip and fall over them.
[21:24]You carry a backpack or um the the drawstring bag.
[21:27]You put your, for example, your charger, your your phone charger, your
[21:33]dua book, your prayer mat, if you have a small blanket if
[21:36]you need your medicine, the basic necessities because you're going to be
[21:40]walking and you don't want to be carrying a lot of things
[21:44]with you.
[21:45]But you just need what is enough.
[21:47]If you have those um power banks, the the phone power banks,
[21:50]there is electricity in infat for example, the tent has electricity.
[21:54]In Mina, it does, but in Malifa, there isn't.
[21:58]And then infat even if it does, there's probably one plug that
[22:01]you find 100 people, they want to share it.
[22:03]So you take see if you can, for example, take your the
[22:09]phone charger so that you're not going to run in any issues.
[22:11]I mean, if you didn't have that, that's not a big deal.
[22:15]It's some people, they just say, "I don't want to even look
[22:16]at my phone during the time of the Hajj.
[22:18]I don't want to even deal with that." So, so that's also
[22:22]something, but you're going to need it because the duas and a
[22:24]lot of a lot of these things are in there.
[22:27]So, that's uh a very important point.
[22:29]And maybe when we go to I saw the pictures and they
[22:35]should I think they might give us like a bag or maybe
[22:38]something and and they give infa they give I don't I don't
[22:48]I don't I mean I've lost a lot of uh trust in
[22:51]in what they say if you it's not going to be cold
[22:54]but if you want something to put your head on something to
[22:57]lay down on then it's it's okay to maybe take a small
[23:03]blanket something that becomes very small that in because infat they have
[23:08]they have something for you to sit on but in It's outside,
[23:11]you know, you're just outside.
[23:12]That is where you might need to take something with you.
[23:17]Now, there is one important point and that is the sisters.
[23:23]The sisters, not all the sisters, of course, those who feel like
[23:28]they are they will not be able to stay in Malifa and
[23:30]they're not going to be able to do the walk to Mina
[23:33]and they're not going to be able to do the the stoning
[23:38]when it's busy.
[23:37]they are allowed to and the elderly the sisters and the elderly
[23:45]they are allowed to um not stay in Malifa but before that
[23:49]sorry I I I kind of went ahead I wanted to say
[23:52]about the sisters those who who are there's a chance that they
[23:59]might not be able to enter into the haram after the maybe
[24:02]for example the menstrual cycle starts they know that they're not going
[24:06]to be able to enter into the haram after the Eid.
[24:11]What do you do here?
[24:11]You're allowed to enter into before.
[24:16]Do you do the before, for example, you know, you're not going
[24:22]to be able to enter into the haram from the 9th of
[24:24]you could enter into from the eighth or from the seventh.
[24:30]You do the and you do the and the and the there's
[24:33]two and one.
[24:35]you're allowed to do it before the all the other they have
[24:39]to do it after.
[24:41]But if you fear that you might not be able to enter
[24:46]into the haram because it's haram to enter into while on the
[24:51]menstrual cycle.
[24:52]So if you know that's going to happen, you do your before
[24:57]you do your before because that is something that you will have
[25:01]to do.
[25:02]And if you won't be able to enter the haram, then it's
[25:04]going to be a problem.
[25:07]You're going to have to give nyaba to someone else.
[25:07]So you do it on your own before you give nyaba to
[25:11]someone else.
[25:12]So that's one thing I I wanted to mention.
[25:14]It's a very important point.
[25:15]Those who know they cannot do on the 10th, which is the
[25:19]day of Eid, the 11th and the 12th, they could do their
[25:22]before and you could ask and we will let you know what
[25:27]you need to do exactly to make everything right.
[25:28]Um before we go to where do we enter the state ofam?
[25:32]Do we go to mazj?
[25:35]No.
[25:35]I said we enter into the state ofam in Mecca injam.
[25:37]So on the eth of at night the eve of we go
[25:42]to haram.
[25:44]That's where we wear ouram.
[25:44]I mean we've already worn the haram.
[25:47]That's where we do the nia the intention.
[25:49]Yes brother.
[25:52]No you do the shower in the hotel.
[25:58]You do everything.
[25:57]We we're wearing we go to mazjid.
[25:59]I don't mean you wear it inside like there's a room where
[26:04]you you you wear it.
[26:04]You enter into the state ofam the same way you entered into
[26:10]the state ofam.
[26:09]So you're wearing all you do is say I I enter into
[26:15]the state ofam for for and then you're enter you've entered into
[26:21]the state of but you do the changing the shower in the
[26:25]hotel and you do that.
[26:26]Then we go there we enter into the state of okay now
[26:29]we go to the next slide please.
[26:32]So this is so before I talk about what we're doing in
[26:36]you see this on the left that's called we're probably not going
[26:41]to see that because the hotels uh not the hotels the tents
[26:46]they're all over some of the they leave the tent and they
[26:49]start walking all the way here they end up getting a heat
[26:53]stroke and they end up getting lost and they miss out on
[26:54]the dua you don't need to go there yes we have narrations
[26:59]that Imam Hussein he recited the dua he stood on the foothills
[27:03]of this of this mountain and that's where he recited dua his
[27:08]dua on his famous dua on the day of the picture on
[27:12]the right this is how when I went in 2019 this is
[27:17]how our tent looks like looked like right so you see these
[27:19]um these are kind of mattresses they turn into couches and there's
[27:25]a pillow so you could fold that it turns into a couch
[27:27]and you see we're like sardines next to each other so so
[27:30]everyone Everyone's going to be very close to the next person.
[27:34]You might when you want to pray, you're going to have to
[27:36]fold that.
[27:38]You put it aside so that you could pray or we will
[27:43]probably once the sun kind of gets it's not as strong.
[27:45]We're going to go and pray outside because it's mustab to stand
[27:52]under the sky and stand and do dua.
[27:55]Next slide, please.
[27:54]Okay.
[27:55]So, now we're going to cover.
[27:57]So according to the holy prophet he says you want to summarize
[28:07]what the hajj is that is where people from all walks of
[28:10]life people the rich the poor the black the white everyone they're
[28:17]all gathered infat and that is where everyone is begging Allah to
[28:22]forgive them for their sins one of the reasons why it is
[28:26]named is that is the place That is the place to admit
[28:32]your sins.
[28:31]And even you see the dua of Im Hussein, he says, "I
[28:34]am the one who did this.
[28:36]I am the one who did that.
[28:37]I am the one." This is a good habit.
[28:40]Don't forget our sins.
[28:40]We we forget what we do wrong and then we want Allah
[28:45]to to to forgive us.
[28:46]Let us point out every wrong thing that we did.
[28:50]Of course, you don't tell your sins to any other person.
[28:53]It's haram and mak to tell your sins to other people.
[28:55]you tell your sins to Allah subhana w t'ala and you make
[29:01]a oath that you don't go back to them.
[29:05]So that is um one narration says that that is where Adam
[29:08]and Eve met one another when they came down from the heaven.
[29:12]One came in one place another came down in another place they
[29:16]metat they got to meet one another again in in uh in
[29:22]that land.
[29:24]So it's about 13 kilometers from Mecca.
[29:28]We head to the to on the eth of the likely arrive
[29:29]at night and there are some in the in the books of
[29:35]there are some to be done on that night but usually the
[29:39]we go and we sleep we rest because the next day we
[29:43]have a full day of worship and so that night we we
[29:50]sleep and the the ofat begins at noon time.
[29:54]So at noon time we all make the I stand in from
[30:10]noon until sunset for for Islam and once we do that we
[30:19]do the because that is a part of the you have to
[30:21]be infat all of the they have to be infat in order
[30:25]for the Hajj to count for them and there are some important
[30:32]to be done in one of them is to remain in the
[30:34]state of so there are bathrooms there's you know a lot of
[30:40]alhamdulillah you know I was thinking year after year Hajj is getting
[30:45]more and more comfortable if you're worried about how comfortable you're going
[30:50]to be just imagine those who went 5 years ago, those who
[30:55]went 10 years ago, those who went 20 years ago, those who
[30:57]went a 100red years ago, how difficult it was for them.
[31:03]I remember when we went there was no AC in Arafat.
[31:04]We were you're sitting and you're sweating and you're but everyone is
[31:10]positive.
[31:11]Everyone is happy.
[31:13]Everyone is feels blessed that they are attending the Hajj and doing
[31:16]the Hajj.
[31:18]So now in 2019 when I went we had AC.
[31:20]You're not even feeling the heat inside and there's there's plenty of
[31:24]bathrooms.
[31:24]Before you have to wait for an hour to get your turn
[31:26]in bathroom.
[31:28]Now alhamdulillah there's a lot more.
[31:30]They built a lot more.
[31:30]But yes, as comfortable as they try to make it, Haj is
[31:35]still difficult.
[31:34]Is it is it a walk in the park?
[31:38]No, it's not.
[31:37]Haj is difficult and it's intended to be difficult.
[31:42]Otherwise Allah subhana wa ta'ala if he wanted us to have a
[31:46]be very easy Allah would have made Haj in Hawaii you know
[31:49]we would have we would have went there but Allah says no
[31:54]I chose this place in a valley in a valley that is
[31:58]that does not have trees and does not have life that's where
[32:00]you go and that's where Allah forgives your sins so and and
[32:06]this is what we're going for we're going to be considered from
[32:11]the of so we are going to and the important and remain
[32:18]in the state of you do at noon time if you're able
[32:21]to ask for forgiveness admit your sins the dua of Im Hussein
[32:28]I recommend everyone to go and read the dua of IM Hussein
[32:30]you could there's a translation in English and there's even on YouTube
[32:33]recite it in English I could send you the link very beautiful
[32:38]dua and when When you hear this dua, you understand how Imm
[32:43]Hussein went and sacrificed everything for the sake of Allah.
[32:47]That's the beautiful dua.
[32:48]That's the love.
[32:47]That's the intimacy.
[32:50]Read it and try to understand it because the day of you're
[32:53]probably going to be busy, absent- minded.
[32:56]Read it now so that when that day comes, you will know
[33:00]what you're saying when you're speaking to Allah subhana wa tala.
[33:03]Also very important, we will do all of these together inshallah.
[33:06]from the important is the z of im hussein on the day
[33:12]of we do the z of im hussein and the time the
[33:16]time for all the you're going to see everyone doing dua is
[33:20]the last hour half an hour before sunset you see everyone comes
[33:26]out of the tent the sun goes down and it's must to
[33:28]stand on your feet as much as you can and do dua
[33:33]and ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for forgiveness in a hadith from
[33:40]he says when the sun sets with those who are infat it
[33:48]will set with the sins of everyone who is there that's it
[33:53]you will be like the day your mother gave birth to you
[33:55]that is that is the power of the Hajj is it worth
[34:00]it of course it's worth it this is the value of the
[34:04]Hajj where Allah subhana wa ta'ala gives you a clean slate.
[34:07]Allah subhana wa ta'ala forgives you.
[34:10]And this hadith from he says, subhan Allah.
[34:22]The holy prophet says the worst sinner, the biggest sinner on the
[34:26]day of is the one who leaves and they think that God
[34:30]did not forgive them.
[34:32]Imagine that.
[34:34]Meaning Allah subhana wa ta'ala forgives everyone.
[34:38]The hadith says Allah forgives the sinners and the doers of good.
[34:44]The sinners Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will answer them for what they
[34:48]want in this.
[34:50]But those who do not have much sins, Allah will give them
[34:52]this and the so everyone leaves with something.
[34:58]No one leaves empty-handed.
[35:00]And this is the beauty, my dear brothers and sisters.
[35:02]And this is what we have to keep reminding ourselves of.
[35:07]Keep reminding yourself that this is why we are going.
[35:09]Now, can men use sun umbrella when they step out of their
[35:14]tent to pray infat?
[35:14]No.
[35:14]Men cannot cover their head while walking.
[35:17]If you're in a place that's covered, you're allowed to.
[35:21]But while you are walking, you're not allowed to uh cover your
[35:26]head.
[35:26]That's it.
[35:24]This is this is no covering of the head during the state
[35:30]ofam.
[35:31]Can we have a hard copy dua book with us in Hajj
[35:33]instead of our phone?
[35:35]Yes, if you could if you could find a dua book.
[35:38]Um, you could take one with you.
[35:40]Next slide, please.
[35:42]So, from we wait infat all the way until time.
[35:46]At time, we're going to wait for the buses to come and
[35:54]take us to Malifa.
[35:55]So we reme remember you said Mecca all the way 13 km
[36:00]is then about um three or four kilometers closer on the direction
[36:05]of Mecca is Malifa and then a couple kilometers is Mina and
[36:12]then Mina to to the haram is about 6 km.
[36:15]So in our hotel where it's supposed to be it's supposed to
[36:18]be between Mecca and Mina.
[36:22]So that should be something that is helpful.
[36:26]So this is Malifa.
[36:25]Mustafa you find in Mina and they have tents and they've set
[36:31]up tents and camps.
[36:31]In Malifa they don't have anything.
[36:33]They only have bathrooms.
[36:34]Why?
[36:35]Because you're not you don't need to stay there during the day.
[36:41]So you're not worried about the sun bothering you.
[36:42]You're you if it's about sleeping a couple hours, you find people
[36:48]they sleep like this on the ground.
[36:51]That's it.
[36:49]There's campgrounds where they have, for example, thousands of hij from this
[36:55]area.
[36:55]There's a fence and they're in this camp and then thousands of
[37:00]hajj in this camp and and they're all gathered there.
[37:02]This is where you might want something to kind of sleep on,
[37:09]to sit on, to lay down on.
[37:10]And believe me, some of the probably the best sleep you'll have
[37:14]in your life is here because you're going to be so tired.
[37:18]I've seen people they're they're out of it.
[37:22]They sleep really well here.
[37:22]So, of course, Allah subhana wa ta'ala mentions this.
[37:28]Allah says in the Quran, next slide please.
[37:37]When you leave, remember Allah do where is.
[37:44]So Malifa is a desert with no tents.
[37:49]And the hadith, the hadith of the prophet, he says that Allah
[37:55]subhanahu wa ta'ala commands all of the insects and the snakes and
[38:00]the harmful animals to leave before the Hajj.
[38:04]And subhan Allah, all these years we've been performing the Hajj.
[38:07]We hear people have going to Hajj.
[38:08]You never hear of someone saw a snake or saw a scorpion
[38:12]or any of that.
[38:13]You're out in the middle of the desert.
[38:18]You don't hear any of that.
[38:18]So the we go there and there's two objectives to do in
[38:22]Malafa.
[38:23]One of them is to spend the night in Malafa camp in
[38:28]Malifa.
[38:29]You stay from nighttime because you left after.
[38:34]So you have from after depending on the time our bus takes
[38:40]us.
[38:38]if the buses are late because there's the buses they have to
[38:42]go and do it certain you know they have to take turns
[38:44]going after everyone who they they they do shuttles basically.
[38:48]So when they tell us your bus is coming maybe it might
[38:53]be right after maybe it might be 2 hours 3 hours 4
[38:54]hours after if it's delayed it's not a bad thing because you're
[39:01]staying in where there's a tent but then we have to make
[39:02]it to that night we have to make it to and we
[39:07]do the intention of sleeping or staying in to I the intention
[39:17]is I stay the night in malif tonight for for Islam.
[39:29]That's one thing.
[39:33]Then you have another nia to do and that is to from
[39:38]dawn when when dawn to sunrise you have to also stay in
[39:45]we cannot leave and that also requires an intention.
[39:49]Now whether you say this intention or not as long as it's
[39:52]in your heart and that is that I remain and stand in
[40:06]from dawn all the way to till sunrise for Islam.
[40:11]So we mentioned two objectives.
[40:13]One of them is staying the night.
[40:18]The second is between and sunrise you have to remain in Malifa.
[40:22]And the third thing that the have to do in Malifa is
[40:27]to collect the pebbles and the stones.
[40:28]So this is why one of add at the items you could
[40:33]either buy from there or you could have a normal plastic bag
[40:37]uh a ziploc bag whatever it is but something maybe sometimes some
[40:42]of them they have something that you could hang it's made out
[40:45]of cloth with a zipper in it you put your need to
[40:50]collect at least 70 stones at least 70 stones each one is
[40:53]the size of the tip of your finger so you don't get
[40:56]a talk.
[40:57]You know that you're going to break someone's head.
[40:58]You You get something this small.
[41:03]This small.
[41:02]That's how small you get.
[41:05]You pick it up.
[41:05]You could pick it up in Malifa.
[41:07]That's the That's the best thing to do.
[41:10]If you couldn't, you could pick it up from Mecca.
[41:14]If you see a mountain in Mecca, you pick it up.
[41:18]What you're not supposed to pick up are used rocks from, you
[41:21]know, from the past.
[41:23]Sometimes they come and they just throw you a bunch of stones.
[41:25]You could, you know, that those are they, they've placed them there.
[41:28]You go up a mountain or on the ground, you could pick
[41:32]up.
[41:33]You need to pick for yourself.
[41:34]Now, say for example, I'm tired.
[41:36]I can't pick for myself.
[41:38]Can I have my husband, my son, my wife, whatever, pick for
[41:42]me?
[41:43]Yes.
[41:43]There's nothing wrong with that.
[41:45]Someone could pick for the whole group.
[41:46]So, um, whatever it is, you you could you could find someone
[41:52]that that that does it for others.
[41:54]It doesn't matter.
[41:53]You just need to have unused stones and you need to have
[41:58]them with you.
[41:58]Could someone else carry them for me?
[41:59]Someone else could carry them for you.
[42:01]As long as you have enough.
[42:05]You're going to need 49 total.
[42:07]What you're going to need is 49.
[42:09]You take a little bit more because you drop some, you lose
[42:10]some.
[42:12]Whatever happens, take between 70 to 100 so that you have enough
[42:19]stones because the day of Eid, you're going to have to throw
[42:21]seven.
[42:22]And then the day after, the 11th of the you're going to
[42:24]have to throw 21.
[42:25]And the 12th day, the last day of the Hajj, you're going
[42:30]to have to throw 21.
[42:30]So you need at least 49.
[42:32]This is something that you do in you collect inf.
[42:38]Now something also very important.
[42:40]This is where I was talking to the woman and to the
[42:46]elderly here.
[42:44]Some of the women they come and they say it's too difficult
[42:50]for me to spend the night in Musalafa and to do the
[42:53]walking from from um Malifa to Mina.
[42:57]It's about a three four maybe threeh hour walk or something maybe
[43:02]two and a half three hour walk we're going to have to
[43:04]do and there's a lot of traffic.
[43:07]So some some of the ladies, some of the elderly, they say,
[43:10]"I can't." And when we get to the when we get to
[43:13]the jamat on the day of Eid in the morning, we're going
[43:15]to walk all the way from all the way to the to
[43:19]the the big pillar of the big pillar of the it's going
[43:24]to be very busy.
[43:25]Some of those who are unable to they are allowed to have
[43:30]meaning they're allowed to stay in there's an exception for them.
[43:37]They're allowed to stay in they don't need to stay all the
[43:39]way till they stay they do the nia for staying for maybe
[43:46]15 minutes 20 minutes half an hour they stay in Malifa and
[43:50]then the bus takes them all the way to Mina they go
[43:55]to Mina they do the rai 7 they do the ramy at
[43:56]night and then they go to the hotel and they rest the
[44:00]next day when they tell them they've done the slaughtering for you
[44:03]that's when they could do the and take off the so this
[44:09]is an option that um even was one of the promises they
[44:13]said.
[44:14]So they told us that they're going to um give that to
[44:20]some of the women.
[44:19]But if you are able to and you can walk and you're
[44:24]healthy enough, stay with us and we will do the whole together.
[44:31]If you feel like maybe it's too difficult for you, this is
[44:33]reserved for the those who are truly unable to walk, for example,
[44:36]meaning those who are in a wheelchair or it's really difficult for
[44:39]them because of a health concern, then they would go.
[44:44]Yes, sister, you had a question.
[44:56]So the women I'm I'm going to stay in in Malifa.
[44:59]So those who go, we're going to ask um maybe some if
[45:05]if one of the men goes, they need to just go to
[45:09]the Jamat.
[45:09]It's preferable that if they go, they end up going with someone
[45:13]who's done that before.
[45:13]So all of the years I've done Hajj, I've remained in MU.
[45:17]I've never I've never done that.
[45:19]Some years we have maybe one man he he's able to go
[45:20]with them or maybe Shehikh Fuad is able to provide one of
[45:25]he he's going to have some workers there to be able to
[45:29]go with the woman.
[45:28]They go to the big big jam they do the stoning and
[45:32]then they just go back to the hotel.
[45:34]It's not going to it's not going to be as busy as
[45:36]the next day.
[45:37]So this is if you feel like this is an option that
[45:40]you want to take, you let us know and we're going to
[45:43]see how many people are going to want to do that so
[45:44]that they they they are able they are able to do that.
[45:49]If um you feel like you could you could stay and camp
[45:54]out in Malifa and the next day do the walk then you
[45:55]will remain with the group.
[45:58]So this is an option um an exception that the women and
[46:03]the elderly even from the men um who are unable to they
[46:07]have that.
[46:08]So when we rem Yes, sister.
[46:08]Can we buy the blanket?
[46:12]Yes.
[46:13]Yes, you could.
[46:14]There's a lot of people do that.
[46:16]The day we leave Malifa, you see all these blankets and and
[46:18]sleeping bags and everything, people leave them because you're not going to
[46:21]need to you're not going to need it anymore.
[46:24]You could a lot of people do that.
[46:28]They buy and you don't need to take from with you from
[46:30]here.
[46:30]Over there, there's plenty of stores unless you want to you found
[46:33]something good.
[46:34]you found a a you know some a mat to sit on
[46:39]or or some type of um some type of cushioned um like
[46:42]a mattress or something they used to sell over there even folds
[46:46]we took it to malafa and we left it in the morning
[46:47]why should we carry it anymore we don't need it when we
[46:50]go to malifa because that night we're going to go back to
[46:54]the hotel and we're walking that's the long walk that people get
[46:56]tired in so you don't you don't need to carry you could
[46:59]leave it over there yes there's nothing someone asked can I buy
[47:03]online you could these days you could buy everything online.
[47:05]He's asking about buying the stones online.
[47:08]No, the stones have to be from the haram.
[47:12]They have to be either from or that's something money can't buy.
[47:16]So you you get that from or you get it from the
[47:21]haram.
[47:22]But you could pay someone to get you stones if you want
[47:26]or from over there.
[47:26]Yes, sister.
[47:26]So just double check a lot.
[47:32]Yes.
[47:38]For those who are unable to they stay when we arrive to
[47:45]they do the I stay in meaning urgently I I need to
[47:51]stay then I leave right away.
[47:52]The woman they they get on a bus and they leave right
[47:54]away to Musdalah.
[47:56]So that's they leave to Mina.
[47:58]That's the exception for them.
[47:58]They're allowed to leave.
[48:01]But for for a healthy person, for everyone else, no, you have
[48:04]to stay within the borders of Malifa.
[48:06]You stay within the borders of Malifa.
[48:09]Once the sun rises, we begin walking all the way to Mina
[48:15]and you're going to see thousands of they're all walking and the
[48:18]men that's going to be where the men are their head is
[48:23]not covered and they're they're walking.
[48:23]You're wearing aam.
[48:26]You're you're walking all the way until you see the jamat until
[48:30]you see the the the the place where you stone the shaitan
[48:36]and there once you do the ramy I'll I'll mention in the
[48:39]next step yes any yes sister no not not from malifa to
[48:47]yes from tofa we take the bus from there are shuttles but
[48:50]we were we're going to walk because we're going the shuttles take
[48:55]you to the camp.
[48:54]We need to go straight to the Jamarat so that we could
[49:00]finish it as soon as possible.
[49:04]Yes, you are walking with other two three million people.
[49:13]So, we're going to have to try to stay together and those
[49:19]in front might have to slow down a little to make sure
[49:24]that everyone catches up.
[49:24]We have to figure out that's that's the that's the part of
[49:27]the Hajj.
[49:28]We have to figure out how we're going to make it work
[49:32]with one another.
[49:31]Yes.
[49:34]Yes.
[49:38]So, we we've had flags in the past.
[49:44]Um the Sheh Fad, I spoke with him.
[49:47]He's going to be able to provide um especially for the woman
[49:50]in when they're wearing the they're going to be wearing a distinct
[49:54]color.
[49:55]So, there it's it goes around.
[49:56]So, we're going to know who is with us and who's not
[50:01]with us from from what they're wearing.
[50:02]The men are not allowed to wear that, but you could probably
[50:04]put a tag or color or we we carry a flag and
[50:09]we we try to stay together.
[50:09]So if someone is for example not able to walk, they need
[50:16]to let someone know.
[50:16]You know, I'm don't be alone and you didn't tell anyone I'm
[50:19]unable to walk or I have a problem.
[50:24]You let someone know so that you're not left behind or at
[50:26]least someone stays with you.
[50:27]If the whole group is going then then we we figure it
[50:31]out.
[50:32]Yes.
[50:41]Yes.
[50:42]But this is goes against the rules of we want to do
[50:47]we want to do it in the way that the prophet did
[50:50]it.
[50:51]We want to do it the way that the majority of theat
[50:52]do it.
[50:53]Yes, some they go they stay a little and then they go
[50:57]to the hotel and then they come back for that fud.
[50:59]But that's kind of you're not going to get the experience of
[51:02]the Hajj when you do that.
[51:02]The way we're doing it is in even if we wanted to
[51:06]go, we can't go back to the hotel.
[51:08]How are we going to go back?
[51:08]There's no shuttle provided for us.
[51:12]In the past, some groups used to arrange with a driver come
[51:14]and pick me up and take me and we remain in the
[51:18]bus and all of that.
[51:18]Now we're just going to do it the way we've all everyone
[51:24]the all the Hajj do it.
[51:25]Yes.
[51:25]So we we wake up and we Yes sister is mostly mixed
[51:39]in men are in one tent uh women are in another tent.
[51:45]Now if we get there on if we get there early in
[51:46]the night the place the camp is going to be empty.
[51:50]We could have our men in one side our women in one
[51:53]side.
[51:54]A lot of years we get there and we see people sleeping
[51:55]everywhere.
[51:56]I need to find two people here, three people there, 10 people
[51:59]here.
[51:59]You you need to figure out where to sit.
[52:02]Sometimes you're sitting like by the curb.
[52:04]You just you just need to figure out where you where you
[52:08]sit.
[52:06]So it that's why it's important for every Hajj to have a
[52:11]partner with them or a group of three, a group of five,
[52:13]whatever it is, you have someone with you so that you always
[52:18]stay together and you help one another and support one another.
[52:21]Yes, brother.
[52:32]Yes.
[52:34]Yes.
[52:35]So, inshallah, I spoke with brother brother.
[52:37]We're going to have to buy headsets.
[52:44]So, brother, he did he did the research on it and he's
[52:51]going to he's going to get he's talking to someone.
[52:54]We're either going to rent, but we're going to probably tell everyone
[52:58]cuz Sheh Fad says he only has likeund and some and he's
[53:02]going to use it for his group.
[53:04]So, we're going to buy and then you know we use them
[53:07]there.
[53:06]really going to benefit from them because this last Omrah when I
[53:11]went uh we used the headsets it really helped like people are
[53:14]even we were in two different buses and I was speaking in
[53:17]one of the buses and the people in the other bus they
[53:20]told me we heard everything you said because it it picks up
[53:23]so so it's um it's going to be something very important or
[53:28]if you if you know if anyone has experience in this you
[53:34]you let us know and what it is and we'll order them
[53:36]we'll get them shipped We'll give them out.
[53:37]Those who are with us, we'll figure out how we're going to
[53:40]do that inshallah.
[53:41]But this is something that we are going to definitely have.
[53:44]Yes.
[53:46]Yes.
[53:47]Doctor.
[53:57]Yes.
[54:00]Yes.
[54:02]There are It's the eve of Eid.
[54:04]There are some I'm going to send we're if we have the
[54:06]headsets I might be able to you know read them together but
[54:11]from my experience all the years we've gone people are just this
[54:14]guy's tired and this person is there you're not going to be
[54:17]able to really congregate everyone and do and do something.
[54:22]Yes, at time we're going we might pray jama or we might
[54:24]if if we're able to find a place.
[54:26]If we couldn't then everyone just prays but we wait until sunrise
[54:32]and then we begin walking all the way to Mina.
[54:34]So now next slide please.
[54:40]Then you go to Mina.
[54:41]This is Mina.
[54:44]This is the day of the day the day of Eid.
[54:47]So you see on the left these are how the tents of
[54:52]Mina look like Mina because the hij it's the most developed of
[54:56]the campsites.
[54:57]So you have the number one developed of the campsites is Mina
[55:04]because the especially the Sunnis they go on the eth of they
[55:09]go and they sleep in Mina and then the next day they
[55:10]go to Arafat.
[55:11]What we're going to do is we're going to just wear the
[55:15]in Mecca and we go straight to Arafat.
[55:17]That saves us one day of not you don't have to stay
[55:18]in Arafat.
[55:20]But in the past because people the want to get to so
[55:22]they go halfway there.
[55:25]They get to and then the next day they go to to
[55:29]finish it.
[55:27]Now you have transportation.
[55:30]We just go straight to we don't need to stay the night
[55:32]before.
[55:32]So you have on the 8th they stay and then on the
[55:38]9th they stay in in infat and the 10th 11th and 12th
[55:40]they stay here.
[55:42]So that's why it's the most developed.
[55:44]Yes.
[55:45]Hajj.
[55:48]Yes, we're going to share an itinerary with everyone so that um
[55:56]everything everything will be will be clear inshallah.
[55:58]Let me just um Yes.
[56:03]So, anyone else had something?
[56:05]Okay.
[56:06]So, this is on the left.
[56:07]This is the Mina, the camp of Mina.
[56:09]Of course, this is not one camp.
[56:10]These are hundreds of camps.
[56:12]Um, we're probably they're going to tell us you're in this camp
[56:16]number.
[56:17]We need to figure out what's what's the camp number.
[56:18]That is where we're going to have our tents and the place
[56:23]that we we are going to be able to be in.
[56:26]Now, the picture on the right, the picture on the right, this
[56:30]is the Jamarat.
[56:32]The Jamarat, there are three pillars that represent Shan.
[56:39]And that is where Ibraimisam when he was going to the MBA
[56:45]Ibraim Allah subhanana wa ta'ala tested him with a very difficult test.
[56:49]He tells him you have to slaughter your son.
[56:51]And he be he leaves Mecca.
[56:53]He leaves the haram and he begins walking towards Mina.
[56:57]And there Shayan comes in the figure of a man and he
[56:59]tells him what are you doing Ibrahim?
[57:00]This is your son.
[57:02]And Ibraim he says God is the one who gives me.
[57:07]God is the one who takes.
[57:08]And he takes stones and he throws them at at Shayan.
[57:12]He does it three times.
[57:15]So you see this this structure on the right this was not
[57:21]like this in the past.
[57:25]It used to be one pillar one pillar probably 1 meter wide.
[57:27]That was how big it was.
[57:31]Now the structure that represents that the have to throw on is
[57:37]a huge wall.
[57:37]We're going to show it in the next picture.
[57:39]It's probably as wide as this room or uh yeah go to
[57:44]the next one.
[57:46]Yes.
[57:44]this one.
[57:46]So now they've demolished it because not to scare you all but
[57:52]when in um previous years there were stampedes like people are tripping
[57:56]over one another, people are taking their bags and everything and they
[58:01]trip and um people die by the by the jamat.
[58:06]It used to be one one uh bridge where people are striking
[58:08]under and people are on top of the bridge.
[58:11]Now it's a five-story structure and the wall.
[58:14]Go back to the next uh the the pre Yes.
[58:16]This one.
[58:17]Now it's a I don't know five sixtory structure and the are
[58:21]doing the in all of these.
[58:23]But where do we do the ground floor?
[58:27]Just like where do we do the ground floor?
[58:30]Where do we do the ground floor?
[58:32]If they tell you you go upstairs, what do you do?
[58:36]You either wait or you go up and then you come down.
[58:38]You find the escalator and you come down.
[58:41]So when we're walking and this we're probably this is going to
[58:46]happen to us because last time I went when we're walking from
[58:49]thousands of millions of are all walking suddenly the police comes and
[58:54]says you guys enter this lane you guys enter this lane we're
[58:59]walking suddenly we see ourselves we're on a ramp that's going to
[59:02]the third story of the of the Jamarat and people are like
[59:05]no my says this and no I have to do this they're
[59:09]not going to let you go back.
[59:10]The moment you turn back, the police is going to tell you,
[59:13]"What are you doing?" Because they don't want they want to keep
[59:15]the flow.
[59:16]People, that's how people died because one person going this way, one
[59:19]person going this way, and then you have um you have a
[59:23]stampede.
[59:24]So, if you see yourself, if we we're in a group, we
[59:26]see ourselves going up, we go up, we walk all the way,
[59:30]then there's a stairs, we come down all the way to the
[59:35]ground floor of the Jamarat.
[59:35]We go to the ground floor on the day of Eid.
[59:41]On the day of Eid, we only do the ramy of the
[59:42]largest pillar which is on the right.
[59:45]The largest pillar on the right.
[59:50]Now when we do the ramy of the largest pillar, you see
[59:53]the right side of the pillar, the right side of that building,
[59:58]that is the border of Mecca.
[60:01]So the pillar even during the prophet's time the pillar of Jamar
[60:09]you walk two three feet and you've left Mina.
[60:12]So here you want to make sure you don't leave Mina when
[60:19]you're doing that.
[60:18]And you have to strike with your back towards the Kaa with
[60:25]your back towards the Kaa.
[60:26]you you strike this way of of the jamat so that we
[60:30]will inshallah when we're there we'll tell you which where where you're
[60:33]going to be able to do this and um this is of
[60:37]course some scholars they say whichever direction you strike it doesn't matter
[60:42]but we will inshallah make sure that we we try to do
[60:46]it in the best way that we can so we this is
[60:50]the largest one you do the striking let me let me just
[60:52]read the question um is it okay to wear a headset while
[60:55]in haram yes it's okay as long as you're not covering your
[60:57]head.
[60:58]So, we'll keep in mind when we're looking for headsets, don't get
[61:02]something that's going to come and for example, you get the the
[61:06]one that just goes in the ear or maybe just above the
[61:08]ear.
[61:08]Just very minimum.
[61:10]You don't want to cover the head for the men.
[61:11]For the women, it's okay.
[61:13]Is there a way to get all the niat written out for
[61:15]us?
[61:15]Yes.
[61:16]Inshallah, we will do that.
[61:17]Inshallah.
[61:18]Um, next slide, please.
[61:20]Okay.
[61:21]So, we're we're walking from Malifa to Mina.
[61:25]We're going to probably by the time we're we reach Mina the
[61:28]sun is going to be out and it's going to be hot.
[61:31]But luckily when you do the rai it's a in it's indoors.
[61:35]So we go in we we're doing it on the bottom floor.
[61:37]So at least in inside the the building where the rai is
[61:42]at least our the the there's a shade over there.
[61:46]So you must be on the ground floor.
[61:47]You don't need woo.
[61:48]Remember we said you only need woo in the and the salah
[61:53]of the even in the you don't need woo in the you
[61:58]don't need wudoo when you enter into the structure there's a small
[62:01]j it's they're all the same size but one of them is
[62:04]called andra they're all the same size but we need to on
[62:11]the day of which is the 10th of we do the of
[62:16]the large one the big one seven times so you strike 1
[62:19]2 3 4 5 6 7.
[62:23]Now, this is also something that is very important.
[62:26]In the past, remember we talked about the Sah last time that
[62:28]you need to when you're going from Saf to Marwa, you need
[62:31]to stay on the left side because you want to make sure
[62:33]where you are in the old mas where the old mas was.
[62:37]Now, when we do the before it used to be one pillar,
[62:44]now it's 20 ft of pillar.
[62:45]So, and and this is also practically impossible, but what we try
[62:49]to do, we try to hit in the middle.
[62:52]Try to hit in the middle because that is where we know
[62:56]the other the the one it was.
[62:58]They've just expanded it from the right and from the left.
[63:02]You try to hit around the middle.
[63:04]But more importantly or equally as important, when you strike, you have
[63:10]to see the stone hitting the wall.
[63:12]That is going to be for some people who and you need
[63:22]to see it.
[63:24]Now, here's the hard part.
[63:25]You have thousands of people, they're throwing their stones.
[63:28]So, the best thing to do is it's going to be busy.
[63:34]And this is we're going to have to like once we get
[63:36]there, we're going to have to strategize how we're going to do
[63:39]this.
[63:39]If it wasn't busy, we go in one by one or we
[63:42]go in as a group.
[63:42]But if it was busy, we're going to have to figure out
[63:45]maybe we have a, you know, someone's carrying the flag.
[63:47]We know where this person where our c where basically everyone needs
[63:53]to go back to.
[63:52]You go in small groups and you're you have stones in one
[63:59]hand and you go as close as possible.
[64:01]You go as close as possible so that you could see.
[64:03]You need to see seven.
[64:06]Can I say for example, I hit seven but I didn't see
[64:08]the seventh one hit.
[64:11]If you did not see it, you need to make sure you
[64:15]hit another one until you see it.
[64:17]Now, if it went in the direction and you are 100% certain
[64:19]that it hit, it's okay.
[64:23]But if you throw like some people, they throw this way and
[64:26]it goes that way, then you're in trouble.
[64:29]So now you need to either you keep doing it or you
[64:34]give wakala.
[64:34]If you couldn't, it's too difficult for you.
[64:37]You give power of attorney to someone.
[64:39]You tell him I give you wala to do the stoning on
[64:44]my behalf if especially people who are unable to depends how busy
[64:47]it's going to be.
[64:47]Sometimes we go in there and it's easy and smooth and sometimes
[64:50]you go in there and you see this is probably the hardest
[64:52]part of the Hajj because you have people doing this.
[64:58]Everyone's doing this.
[64:58]You're walking people their their elbows are moving and people are coming
[65:05]out.
[65:03]People are going in.
[65:06]It's it's this is probably one part of the Hajj that requires
[65:09]some um you you know you need to kind of like physically
[65:15]you need to be able to to to do it.
[65:18]But if you couldn't worst case scenario you give wakala or you
[65:21]go in with someone who's you know holding you and and protecting
[65:24]you so that you will you will be able to throw the
[65:27]stones.
[65:28]If you run out of stones you cannot use from the floor.
[65:31]So some there's going to be thousands of stones and sandals and
[65:35]everything thrown on the floor.
[65:38]The first day is probably the hardest because the men are wearing
[65:42]the second day and third day you could wear pants, you could
[65:45]wear normal clothes.
[65:47]When you're wearing that is also a challenge.
[65:48]So um you carry that's why we said carry enough stones with
[65:54]you and the time I'll let me finish this and then the
[65:59]time of the stoning is from you have basically once we we
[66:03]arrive all the way until all the way until sunset.
[66:08]At night you cannot do the ramy.
[66:09]So you could do it earlier you could do it later on
[66:14]in the day before sunset but what we try to do is
[66:17]we try to go and we get rid of it.
[66:19]We try to do it as soon as possible before.
[66:22]You have to complete your stoning between dawn and dusk.
[66:25]So now any questions about the stoning?
[66:27]Yes.
[66:28]I run out of stone.
[66:30]You could take from someone else, but as long as they're not
[66:34]used.
[66:34]Yes.
[66:36]Yes.
[66:39]No.
[66:40]If you did not see it, you could hit another one until
[66:44]you see it.
[66:46]But I can't hit one and then I go and I take
[66:49]a water break.
[66:48]There needs to be malat and then I come and I hit
[66:52]another two and then I come and I hit three.
[66:54]No, they need to be one after the other.
[66:57]One after the other.
[66:57]But if I missed, I could hit another one until I until
[67:01]I am able to see seven.
[67:02]Yes.
[67:03]Yes.
[67:04]Hajj, you had a question.
[67:07]This is this is there's not that much.
[67:12]They say you do it in the ground.
[67:14]You Yes, you do it.
[67:17]We're going to all do it in the ground floor.
[67:21]Yes, brother.
[67:19]Okay, sister.
[67:28]It's probably, you know, like one or two meters.
[67:32]One meter.
[67:34]Probably one yard.
[67:34]This is um this is how the original was.
[67:37]The original was one was when I remember it.
[67:40]Yes.
[67:41]Yes, sister.
[68:08]Yes, that's smart.
[68:10]Yes.
[68:11]Yes.
[68:12]So what she's trying to say is instead of you see it
[68:16]in the middle and you go try to get it from the
[68:18]middle, you have to walk through all these people.
[68:20]That's hard.
[68:22]Go from the side then you find We'll see the next picture.
[68:24]Um go to the next picture.
[68:28]So So you see in the middle that a lot of that's
[68:29]busy.
[68:29]But if you go from the side and then you walk by
[68:33]the wall and you slowly try to make your way towards the
[68:35]middle.
[68:36]Slowly try to make your way towards the middle, then you're you're
[68:39]going to be able to um hit it in the middle.
[68:43]So you walk from the side and then you you go towards
[68:47]the middle.
[68:48]Um is how far do you have to throw the stones for
[68:50]it to reach?
[68:51]So this is this is the picture and you know the way
[68:53]they've made it right now where you throw the stones and it
[68:57]goes down and it they have like this place where it just
[68:58]collects all of them.
[69:01]They they built it in a way where it it all goes
[69:05]down.
[69:06]So you're not like seeing in the past there was like a
[69:08]hill of stones on the last day you know all of them
[69:13]that the hij have thrown.
[69:13]So um this is with the rai of the jamat.
[69:17]Any other questions?
[69:20]Yes.
[69:31]That's what I said as well.
[69:35]If the if they if they're able to Yeah.
[69:42]No, the women who leave, they're allowed to, they have the exception.
[69:47]They're allowed to do it at night on the Eid of on
[69:48]the eve of the Eid.
[69:51]But for a normal, you know, someone who does not have that
[69:53]that exception does not apply to them, we can't do it at
[69:58]night.
[69:59]We have to do it during the day.
[70:00]Yes, sister.
[70:05]Yes.
[70:10]Technically women and those who are unable to Yes.
[70:15]They're they're allowed to they're allowed to leave earlier.
[70:17]Yes.
[70:20]Yes, sister.
[70:20]Color them.
[70:22]I don't know.
[70:24]Um I would not do any of that because I don't know,
[70:26]you know, it might get all over you or something.
[70:30]So um now once we've done the go back one slide, it's
[70:36]just the bottom of it.
[70:37]Okay.
[70:38]After you stone thean, this is the day of the 10th of
[70:42]So the next step, you've done the rai.
[70:44]You were in Mustala.
[70:45]You did the mab.
[70:47]You did the dawn to sunset.
[70:48]Dawn to sunrise.
[70:48]You walked to Mina.
[70:51]You did the rai of the large jam seven times.
[70:55]Now the next thing we sit and we wait.
[70:58]In the past we used to wait under the shade in the
[71:00]bridge waiting to get a call.
[71:06]They tell us they've done the the slaughtering for every single person.
[71:09]Remember last week we talked about this in Mina.
[71:13]We're going to we're going to give wakala.
[71:16]I mentioned they told us $250 per person.
[71:17]You you give wakala to this um there's going to be a
[71:23]group of um shia we're giving them.
[71:25]They're going to distribute the the meat to those who are in
[71:30]need.
[71:27]So that saves us a lot of the headache, you know, of
[71:32]having because you need to feed with one-third of it.
[71:34]You need to feed the poor.
[71:36]They're going to distribute it for us.
[71:38]So we're going to give them wala.
[71:40]going to tell them I give you wakala to slaughter on my
[71:42]behalf.
[71:42]In the past the used to take their sheep with them and
[71:47]they slaughter it.
[71:47]Now you're not allowed to do that in Mina.
[71:49]So what they do is you give wakala there's slaughter houses then
[71:56]they call us.
[71:55]We tell them we call them first.
[71:58]We tell them we've done the ramy.
[72:01]We've done the stoning.
[72:01]So then we wait for them to call us back.
[72:05]Sometimes it takes one hour.
[72:05]Sometimes it takes two, three, four, five hours.
[72:09]because there's millions of being that are being slaughtered right now.
[72:15]We have to they have to wait for their turn until and
[72:17]they can't begin until we tell them to begin.
[72:20]Then they give us the call they say we've done the we've
[72:26]done the fori we've done it for this person we've done it
[72:28]for that person we've done it for that person.
[72:30]The moment they tell you they've done the the for you, the
[72:33]women are allowed to do the the men are allowed to do
[72:38]the or those who want to shave, they are allowed to shave.
[72:43]So you it's a stepby-step process.
[72:46]It's the it's the slaughtering and then after the slaughtering it is
[72:52]the and the Yes.
[72:53]No.
[72:53]We give the when we give the money which is probably going
[72:58]to be in Medina.
[72:58]So before when we first arrive we're going to because they have
[73:03]to buy from now they're asking us for example how many people
[73:06]are you we told them we're 15 118 people we're going to
[73:11]need they they have to go and buy the sheep then we
[73:13]give them the wala we give them the money and then they
[73:17]prepare themselves on the day of Eid as soon as we let
[73:19]them know we've done the ra then they sl they start the
[73:24]slaughtering yes brother an extra one you want to Yeah, you could
[73:31]do it, but I would not recommend over there.
[73:34]The meat it's you want to you want to do a good
[73:37]deed, you're allowed to.
[73:37]Even those who are not performing the Hajj, you're here on the
[73:40]day of it's recommended to slaughter.
[73:42]Do it here.
[73:44]Do it in Lebanon.
[73:44]Do it somewhere else.
[73:45]If you want to do it over there, you have to tell
[73:48]them, I want to buy another one and you give more money.
[73:51]But there's no, you know, there's plenty of meat and you don't
[73:54]need to do it over there.
[73:56]over there.
[73:56]You just want to make sure they did for yourself.
[73:59]Yes.
[74:00]Yes.
[74:06]Hajj in the Yes.
[74:09]Scholars say if you can do it in Mina, you have to
[74:14]do it in Mina.
[74:13]But the problem is now they don't allow Mina is small and
[74:18]you see the borders of Mina.
[74:20]There used there's no slaughter houses in Mina.
[74:23]So scholars they say you're allowed to do it in Mecca and
[74:26]they have slaughter houses in in Mecca or something.
[74:31]That is where that is where they have the slaughter houses and
[74:34]our scholars they say they're allowed to do that.
[74:38]Yes.
[74:41]Yes.
[74:43]We're waiting in Mina.
[74:46]So what we're probably going to do because in the past I
[74:48]said we used to wait by the Jamarat but there they don't
[74:53]allow you to just be waiting because there's people coming and it
[74:56]could be a it could be a hazard a safety hazard.
[74:58]People are walking and they're going to walk over you.
[75:02]So what we're going to do is as soon as they tell
[75:03]us we're done everyone in our group did the on the day
[75:08]of Eid, we go and we figure out and we before we
[75:11]go we need to figure out where our camp is and we're
[75:15]still a man can't cover his head.
[75:17]You but what we what we need to do is if they
[75:20]called us and they told us for example they're going to do
[75:24]it within an hour we could find a place to stay.
[75:25]There's a masjid called we could go and wait there.
[75:30]If we couldn't do that, we couldn't find a place, we go
[75:34]to our tent.
[75:33]We have tent.
[75:35]We paid for that tent.
[75:35]It's it's uh we have it for from the 8th, the 9th,
[75:40]the 9th, everyone is out of it.
[75:42]But the 10th and 11th, we have those tents.
[75:45]So, we're going to go and wait in the tent.
[75:49]And then when we are in the tent, we get the call.
[75:53]We get the call.
[75:53]They told us they slaughtered for you.
[75:55]Once they tell you they slaughtered for you, then everyone they do
[75:58]the and the shaving.
[76:00]You have to do it in Mina.
[76:04]I can't leave.
[76:03]Now if I left, I did the if I did the stoning
[76:08]and I found out that these guys are not going to slaughter
[76:14]until, for example, the next day.
[76:15]So now I know I have to stay in.
[76:17]I can't exit my but I could leave Mina.
[76:20]I could go to the hotel and then I need to come
[76:24]back again at night, but I could leave and then I come
[76:25]back.
[76:26]This is why we said the woman who when they're going to
[76:29]do the rai, if they're going to do the ramy at night,
[76:31]they don't need to go.
[76:33]They could either go to the tent in Mina or they could
[76:37]go to the hotel, they wait at the hotel once they call
[76:39]and they said we've slaughtered for all the women, they just need
[76:41]to come back in Mina and do the once they do the
[76:46]out of.
[76:48]So this is where it gets a little bit logistically difficult because
[76:51]we have to make sure you can't do something until someone else
[76:54]does it and you have to do it in a particular location
[76:57]and place.
[77:00]Yes, doctor you could if because the next the people next to
[77:13]you are going to be your friends.
[77:13]So you we're all going to be close to one another in
[77:18]one one area inshallah.
[77:18]So that you could leave but if you're leaving for like I'm
[77:23]going to Mecca, I'm leaving Mina.
[77:25]No, you you take everything with you.
[77:28]Yes.
[77:29]Okay.
[77:30]So here is the part.
[77:30]Men will shave their hair after the slaughter is complete.
[77:33]For women, you cut from your hair or have someone who has
[77:37]already cut their hair cut yours and must be done in Mina.
[77:43]I can't do it in Mecca.
[77:44]I go and I found a barber.
[77:45]I do it in Mecca.
[77:47]No, I'm still in the state ofam.
[77:50]Everything is haram on me until I do the or the even
[77:54]if I did the I need to figure out how they do
[77:55]the the the slaughtering as soon as possible.
[77:58]And I need to do the or the in in the is
[78:05]I do to get out of I shave or cut my hair
[78:17]to exit the of now once you've done that once you've you've
[78:22]shaved then um you have exited but two things remain haram upon
[78:28]you.
[78:29]Two things still remain haram upon you.
[78:32]One of them is the use of perfumes or the use of
[78:38]anything scented.
[78:40]You cannot you still cannot you could take a shower, you could
[78:42]wear clothes, you could wear pants, you could cover your head, but
[78:45]you cannot use anything scented.
[78:46]This is where some people who are asking all these questions, that's
[78:50]the time that people want to use something that cleans them, but
[78:55]it's unscented.
[78:54]And they sell them all over the place.
[78:56]Even over there they sell unscented shampoo unscented.
[79:00]You're allowed to but it has to be unscented until when until
[79:07]you do the and the once you do the and the then
[79:10]you could use deodorant you could use shampoo that is scented you
[79:16]could use perfume cologne all of that you're you're allowed to do
[79:20]that.
[79:21]The other thing that remains haram is between uh relationship between husband
[79:26]and wife.
[79:28]It is haram until you do and so after the of the
[79:37]you have one and one and the the and the once you
[79:39]do them that's the and the that will allow you to use
[79:46]scents.
[79:45]The the next is that allows you that allows marriage.
[79:52]Now someone says I'm not married or I'm not planning on getting
[79:56]married.
[79:56]You still have to do that.
[79:58]That's something that you a person every person still has to do.
[80:01]So these are these are um there's going to be done in
[80:08]Mina and there's going to in Mecca th those two things remain
[80:11]haram until you do the ink.
[80:14]Yes, doctor.
[80:15]What is it?
[80:19]So the is seven times around the and then prayers that one
[80:25]and the are inseparable from one another.
[80:28]Meaning you have to do them together.
[80:29]I can't do the and say I got tired I'm going to
[80:33]do the tomorrow.
[80:32]No, you have to do them together and needs to be done
[80:36]on the ground floor.
[80:36]Sah needs to be done on the ground floor.
[80:40]Now I could go to the hotel, take a break.
[80:44]The next day I do some years we've done them.
[80:51]Usually we do them if we are able to we do them
[80:52]all together.
[80:53]If we couldn't it's going to be very exhausting because you have
[80:57]and then another if you couldn't you could do in the next
[81:02]day or before you leave whatever but you try to do it
[81:08]as soon as possible.
[81:07]Okay.
[81:08]So this is um regarding in the morning of the day of
[81:11]Eid inshallah.
[81:13]Yes sister.
[81:21]No no no no no because you've already you've already the men
[81:24]are going to be shaved and and they've already done.
[81:26]This is why this next and we're not wearing anymore.
[81:32]Inshallah, if they have done the slaughter for us, we're going to
[81:37]have you're going to have taken off the you could go with
[81:40]your normal clothes.
[81:42]Now, I don't know now if Saudi Arabia on that daw they
[81:43]might allow people with normal clothes to go in and do the
[81:47]because everyone's going to be wearing normal clothes.
[81:49]Not no one's wearing anymore ground floor even on that day.
[81:57]So then if if that's the case, we're going to probably like
[82:00]look at the TV.
[82:02]You see, for example, the what what they're allowing in there because
[82:05]there's a live coverage.
[82:07]We're going to see are there people wearing normal clothes?
[82:09]We go with our normal clothes.
[82:10]Are people wearing uham?
[82:13]Our men will have to wearam and go in even though we
[82:14]don't need to wear haram but you have because we want to
[82:19]make sure we're doing the in the ground floor.
[82:22]So this is the day of Eid in the morning.
[82:23]Now, um, this is where it gets a little bit tricky and
[82:29]complicated, but we're going to be with a group.
[82:32]You, if you don't remember this, you're just going to follow along.
[82:35]On the day of Eid, at night and the day after the
[82:43]11th, at night, you need to spend half the night or the
[82:46]whole night, but minimum is half the night in Mina.
[82:50]So, what does that mean?
[82:53]That means we finished on the day of Eid.
[82:55]We they told us they slaughtered.
[82:58]We were in the camp and then we you shave or you
[82:59]you you cut your hair and you go to Mecca.
[83:02]You go back to the hotel.
[83:07]We need to spend half the night in Mina.
[83:10]So what do we do?
[83:10]You could either spend the first half of the night or the
[83:14]second half of the night.
[83:16]Meaning from to midnight or from midnight to fud.
[83:20]What we usually do is we go for the first half of
[83:23]the night.
[83:24]Meaning before we have to go back in Mina.
[83:27]We go back in Mina.
[83:28]We go in our camp.
[83:30]You go in your camp and you spend six hours about six,
[83:32]seven hours in Mina.
[83:34]You want to sleep, you want to eat, you want to walk
[83:36]around, whatever you want to do, you do in Mina.
[83:42]Once it's time, you could leave Mina and you go and you
[83:46]do the and the we go to Mecca.
[83:48]If you were tired that day, you say, "I can't do the
[83:52]and you could rem you could go back to the hotel and
[83:56]not do it." But my suggestion is you try to get it
[83:59]out of the way as soon as possible because you're still can't
[84:01]use scent and you there's still a few things that are haram
[84:04]on you.
[84:06]So you do that um during that time.
[84:09]So this is what we are going to do.
[84:12]We're going to the day of Eid the day of Eid after
[84:17]we're we're we're go to the hotel after we've done the stoning
[84:20]the the rai and they we've sl we've they've slaughtered for us.
[84:26]You've shaved.
[84:26]You go back to the hotel then you come back to Mina.
[84:31]You stay half the night in Mina.
[84:32]Then after the point of midnight we go all we go to
[84:39]Mecca.
[84:40]We do one tawah and one sah and then if we were
[84:42]able to do the next taw we can.
[84:45]If we couldn't we wait till the next day then we go
[84:47]back to our hotel.
[84:50]So there's an order of things to do.
[84:51]Go to the next slide please.
[84:53]Next.
[84:54]Yes.
[84:55]Oh this slide.
[84:58]Sorry I I shared it here but I didn't share it here.
[84:59]So this is about the everything that we will do in the
[85:06]next slide please.
[85:04]Okay.
[85:05]So Mina we have the day of Eid the 10th and the
[85:12]11th and the 12th.
[85:12]In Mina the 10th we need we have something to do in
[85:17]the morning and something to do at night.
[85:19]On the morning of the 10th you only stone you do one
[85:25]of the jamat you throw seven.
[85:26]The next day the 11th you throw 21.
[85:30]You hit the small one the middle one the small one with
[85:34]seven.
[85:35]the middle one with seven and then the large one with seven.
[85:37]That's in the morning.
[85:37]You do that before the and then the 12th, the third day,
[85:43]which is the day the Hajj ends.
[85:45]In the morning, you need to hit the small one and the
[85:49]middle one and the big one with seven.
[85:53]You have until time on the 12th the Hajj is done with
[85:55]what you need to do in Mina.
[85:58]This is in the morning in Mina.
[86:00]at night in Mina.
[85:59]The 10th at night, the day of the Eid, at night you
[86:04]spend half the night in Mina and the 11th night, the next
[86:09]day you also need to spend half the night in Mina.
[86:10]So this is what you need to do in Mina.
[86:13]And you have to do in Mecca and you need to figure
[86:19]out how to be able to do that the in Mecca and
[86:22]the in Mina.
[86:24]So we're going to be going back and forth.
[86:24]This is where they came and they said having a hotel close
[86:27]to Mina is a good thing because you keep going back and
[86:29]forth.
[86:30]You don't have to worry about the traffic and all of that.
[86:34]Yes.
[86:35]Hajj.
[86:36]We stay half the night.
[86:40]We stay half the night and we go to Mecca and we
[86:42]do the because we have to get the out of the way.
[86:45]We we go to Mecca, we do the and then the next
[86:49]day in the morning we come we do the then we go
[86:53]back to the hotel.
[86:52]We go back to the hotel.
[86:56]Then time we come back and we spend the half the night
[86:58]and then if you had another to do go back to Mecca
[87:02]do if you had done it the day before you don't need
[87:06]to go back to Mecca and then on the 12th we come
[87:08]we do the we hit 7421 you wait on the border of
[87:14]Mina as soon as you hear the adan you leave Mina and
[87:16]the Hajj is over so this is this yes doctorile between sunrise
[87:29]and sunset.
[87:30]Yes.
[87:31]But what we the allowed to our scholars allow us to do
[87:35]it before.
[87:36]The the Sunnis they do it after the it gets very crowded
[87:41]after the so we try to go around 10:00 a.m.
[87:44]11:00 a.m.
[87:43]If you wait till after the it's going to get really crowded.
[87:48]Yes.
[87:49]And then the 12th you do the same thing as well.
[87:50]you need to go and do the and then the 12th we
[87:54]go and we wait for adan time as soon as you hear
[87:58]the adan you leave and is over.
[88:00]So this is with regards to the with regards to Mecca.
[88:05]Next slide please.
[88:05]In Mecca you need to do and then you do the between
[88:11]and these are together as I said you can't separate them with
[88:15]one another and then you have another which is called after you
[88:21]do you're allowed to use scented items.
[88:25]Um after you do then marriage becomes lawful once again and this
[88:32]is these these are the of the once you've you've achieved the
[88:38]the you've done the the stoning and you've done the and you've
[88:44]done the you are officially done with the Hajj.
[88:51]So if we were able to do the before the 12th of
[88:56]12th of noon time is over but someone was tired they wanted
[89:01]to stay in Mina the whole time you're allowed to stay in
[89:03]Mina the whole time you don't need to keep going back and
[89:07]forth you have a tent over there if you're tired you could
[89:10]stay there and then you do the later on some people do
[89:14]that they wait later but the longer you wait the more you're
[89:16]still attached to the state ofam meaning there's still some restrictions so
[89:20]if you want to get rid of the restrictions then that's what
[89:24]you need to do.
[89:24]Okay.
[89:25]Do we have to give money for the sacrifice in large bills
[89:31]like 100s or 50s?
[89:30]I don't know but they told us 250.
[89:33]So probably hundreds and 50s should be fine.
[89:37]I recommend hundreds.
[89:40]Um like 200s and 150.
[89:41]How will be the transportation between Mina and Haram?
[89:46]if they provide for us.
[89:50]Every year I've gone to Hajj, we take taxis, you know, you
[89:53]you get like you you find those vans and we just fill
[89:56]it and they and the drivers over there, they start raising the
[89:59]prices.
[90:00]So, but what we need to do is here we we can't
[90:05]come and say, "Oh, I did this and I expect them to
[90:07]do this for me." Here, you want to just make sure you
[90:09]do what you do.
[90:11]you if you're have if it comes to having to pay you
[90:12]pay and you get in a we we figure out either we
[90:16]get a bus we get shuttles where we're able to get to
[90:21]Mecca and to Mina inshallah yes this is ibada This is that's
[90:40]it.
[90:41]This is one of the there's a lot of things that are
[90:44]during the that's one of them.
[90:50]I don't know why the it's this is the order and a
[90:52]lot of things in the Hajj are not going to make sense
[90:56]to you.
[90:56]Why do I need to throw seven stones?
[90:58]Why do I need to walk around the Kaa seven times?
[90:59]Why do I need to do this?
[91:03]Why don't there this is this is where God told me you
[91:06]do this and I say I do what what God asked me
[91:09]to do.
[91:10]Yes.
[91:11]Yes.
[91:14]The haram again.
[91:17]Yes.
[91:18]Yes.
[91:29]Let me double check with that.
[91:33]But I believe that she probably some scholars say she has to
[91:36]make it up.
[91:38]She has to um in just in out of precaution, she has
[91:44]to make it up.
[91:42]Yes.
[91:43]Yes.
[91:44]Yes.
[91:46]No.
[91:47]you're going to probably have to do um it's very easy.
[91:51]There's a lot of exchange stores and the the the dollar is
[91:54]about 375.
[91:56]Sometimes it's 373, sometimes 376 um uh Saudi realal.
[92:02]So you go you do like a 100 or 200 at a
[92:06]time and then when it finishes you could always exchange again.
[92:08]But now they in many places they accept credit card.
[92:13]In many places they accept um they accept like there's you could
[92:17]even if you had dollar they will accept money is money but
[92:22]um it's better to have the local currency.
[92:24]Yes sister.
[92:34]Yes.
[92:40]Yes.
[92:49]No, I would because you have to enter into the state ofam.
[92:53]So you don't want to enter into the state ofam a lot
[92:56]before.
[92:56]All you need to do is do one and one and one.
[93:01]So usually the women who enter into the who who are worried
[93:07]that they won't be able to enter into the haram, they do
[93:10]it probably a couple hours before a couple hours before they do
[93:13]the because you don't want to be in the state ofam longer
[93:17]than you need to.
[93:20]Yes.
[93:21]Yes.
[93:22]But the bus is going to leave on on the 8th at
[93:26]night.
[93:26]The bus is going to leave.
[93:27]So you need to make sure that you you do the and
[93:32]get back to the building and catch the bus.
[93:35]So we find out for example they tell us the bus is
[93:36]going to come between 8 and 10:00 for example you need to
[93:42]go to the haram enter into the state ofam do the do
[93:45]theaw do the salah do the and do and make it back
[93:52]to the building to catch the bus.
[93:53]So, we're going to see how many women are going to have
[93:57]to do this and we're going to let the group know that
[93:59]we have, for example, this much women.
[94:01]They're they're doing this and we have to wait for them and
[94:05]we have to we'll figure it out inshallah.
[94:07]Yes.
[94:08]Inshallah.
[94:07]Yes, sister.
[94:10]What's the transportation between our hotel?
[94:13]Our feet.
[94:14]So, that's that's the good thing.
[94:17]They they've put us in a hotel that's very close to I
[94:19]mean this hotel that they have it's close to Mina.
[94:24]you you could take a taxi as soon as you exit Mina
[94:28]in Mina there's no cars but when you exit by the border
[94:31]of Mina there's taxis waiting you could either walk if it's close
[94:35]usually in the past if you're staying in Aizia or anywhere near
[94:41]Aiza you just walk you so we're not going to be inam
[94:46]anymore after we've done the or the on the day of Eid
[94:52]we we're not inam anymore We could we could get in a
[94:55]car.
[94:55]You could cover your head.
[94:56]You just can't use scent and you can't uh there's two things
[94:59]that you can't do.
[95:01]Yes.
[95:11]Yes.
[95:11]Yeah, you could do them, but you're that means you're going to
[95:16]be doing it during the day.
[95:17]Or you could do it in the first half of the night
[95:21]from after until midnight.
[95:22]But you have to make sure you get to Mina.
[95:27]You don't want to risk not getting into Mina.
[95:28]Yes.
[95:29]Yes.
[95:33]Go back.
