[0:01][Music] Welcome to the session three of preparing for the Hajj.
[0:13]And the first two sessions were more of prerequisite sessions.
[0:17]We talked about in the first session how to do the wudoo
[0:23]and theul and some of the basics.
[0:25]We just wanted to make sure that we cover those so that
[0:27]when you go to Hajj, you're not going to run any problems
[0:30]with that.
[0:32]And in the previous session, we talked about the will.
[0:34]We talked about the making sure that you're going to Hajj with
[0:41]money that purely belongs to you.
[0:45]Now, inshallah today we will begin with okay, we landed in Medina.
[0:49]So when you land in Medina, how does that journey begin?
[0:52]We're going to discuss the masjid of the prophet, the attractions in
[0:58]Medina, what do we do while we're there and how do we
[1:00]prepare ourselves to perform the Omrah and go to Mecca.
[1:06]So inshallah we will begin with the first uh slide on Medina.
[1:10]Of course, Medina is referred to as it was the place whereas
[1:18]migrated to and it's the place that the prophet chose to die
[1:23]in and be buried in because the prophet is originally from Mecca.
[1:28]Mecca is south of Medina.
[1:30]So, we're going to take that journey um that journey between Mecca
[1:35]and Medina.
[1:36]It's about a 4 hour or threeh hour car ride.
[1:42]So it's not very close.
[1:43]But after 13 years of proclaiming the message in Mecca and inviting
[1:49]people to the religion of Islam, only a handful of people, very
[1:51]small number of people believed in the prophet.
[1:54]Then the message of the prophet had reached Medina.
[1:57]And the people of Medina, they had there were tribes that were
[2:03]fighting with one another and they heard there's this prophet.
[2:06]He's coming with this message of peace, of justice, of love, of
[2:11]forgiving.
[2:11]So they came and they said, "Please come and bring solution.
[2:14]Come and bring peace between us." They they went, they got to
[2:20]know him.
[2:21]They fell in love with the message and they created it was
[2:23]a group of Muslims that saw the prophet.
[2:26]They they interacted with the prophet a few times.
[2:30]Then the prophet sent them back to Medina and they created that
[2:34]welcoming atmosphere to accept the prophet when the prophet had nowhere to
[2:38]go.
[2:38]The people of Mecca tried to kill him.
[2:40]The people of Mecca they sanctioned him.
[2:42]They attacked him.
[2:43]They tried to kill him on the last night he was there.
[2:46]They attacked his home.
[2:48]I ali slept in the bed of the prophet on that night.
[2:50]And the prophet went to the cave which inshallah when we're in
[2:57]Mecca you'll see it there.
[2:56]There's a cave.
[2:58]There's two mountains.
[3:00]We'll talk about that when we reach Mecca.
[3:03]Two mountains.
[3:02]One where the revelation came in and then there's another one where
[3:06]the prophet went to escape and then he he goes to uh
[3:11]Medina.
[3:12]So the people of Medina accepted the prophet and the Ansar, those
[3:17]who supported the prophet, they put their lives on the line, they
[3:20]put their wealth, everything on the line.
[3:22]Wars were waged against them because they stood in defense of the
[3:26]prophet.
[3:26]This is why the prophet after many years he conquered Mecca.
[3:29]And the people of Medina, they started crying.
[3:33]They said, "Yeah, Allah, now you're going to leave us.
[3:34]Now you're going to go back to Mecca because you're already established.
[3:38]You're you're already have control of Mecca now." He tells them, "I
[3:44]will not leave you.
[3:44]I'm going to be buried here and whoever visits me.
[3:49]Whoever performs the Hajj should come and visit me." And this is
[3:52]why we begin our Hajj with visiting.
[3:55]And this is where the Hajj that we're performing is the Hajj
[4:00]of the prophet.
[3:59]Now you could begin the Hajj technically someone could begin the Hajj
[4:03]by just going to Mecca.
[4:06]But Allah says the one who performs Hajj and does not visit
[4:13]me.
[4:14]Then this person is disrespecting me.
[4:16]So in Medina, we land in Medina.
[4:19]Our hotel is going to be very close to the haram.
[4:23]Walking distance, you'll be able to see the dome.
[4:27]This green dome of sah.
[4:29]Beneath this green dome is the grave of the prophet.
[4:33]Allah is buried here.
[4:33]And this was the house of the prophet.
[4:36]The prophet was buried in his own home.
[4:38]And there is the house of fat zah and the house of
[4:42]the b and the masjid of.
[4:44]So the prophet is buried in his masjid.
[4:46]There's a section of the masjid and a section of the home.
[4:52]You will see it inshallah.
[4:53]Now the masjid of this is the second masjid in Islam.
[4:57]The first masjid is masjid in Medina.
[5:02]We will we will see it as well.
[5:05]And this masjid the salah in the masjid of Allah is worth
[5:08]10,000 prayers.
[5:11]10,000 prayers.
[5:10]Now of course a lot several people I don't know they were
[5:15]joking or serious.
[5:14]They told me say I've missed some prayers.
[5:17]So can I come and just do one of those and then
[5:22]it counts as 10,000?
[5:21]The answer is no.
[5:24]But the tawab the reward that you get is 10,000 as if
[5:29]as if you were doing it in another masjid.
[5:30]So when we are in Medina because we're going to be walking
[5:35]distance in Medina.
[5:35]Medina doesn't have mountains like Mecca.
[5:37]So it's surrounded by hotels.
[5:39]Everyone could walk.
[5:42]Mecca originally there were so many mountains.
[5:45]Now they've demolished all these mountains and they've built skyscrapers.
[5:48]But even in the past people would not stay close to the
[5:50]Kaa.
[5:51]You stay in areas like Aizia and other areas and it's very
[5:55]normal all I've done Hajj many times.
[5:57]Most of the times we stayed in Aziza.
[5:59]We didn't stay only one of them we stayed close to the
[6:00]haram.
[6:01]So right now if we end up not staying close to the
[6:04]haram it's not a big deal.
[6:05]You're doing what the all the other hij are doing.
[6:08]But in Medina usually everyone's close.
[6:10]And when we're close, every salah, where do we pray it?
[6:14]In the masjid of the prophet.
[6:17]You hear the adan.
[6:17]You hear the adan and you go and you pray in the
[6:22]prophet's mosque.
[6:22]And this is one of the most beautiful things to be able
[6:27]to experience the salah in the masjid of now the masjid of
[6:36]the prophet.
[6:37]We're going to land.
[6:38]going to land our I saw our flight Turkish Airlines should land
[6:45]around 12:50 a.m.
[6:44]So we leave here we should leave here on the 28th on
[6:51]the 29th at after right right after or 12:30 a.m.
[6:53]after midnight meaning 30th early in the morning we've we will arrive
[7:00]by the time you arrive in Medina you go to the hotel
[7:01]you get situated in Medina and in Mecca you hear adan one
[7:11]hour before fud one hour before there's aan and that and at
[7:18]time you're going to hear another adan what's the adan 1 hour
[7:20]before fud this is the adan This is the adan of and
[7:27]it's such a beautiful site.
[7:30]You hear the adan and you just see people from all their
[7:33]everyone is just walking to the masjid of sui.
[7:39]Very beautiful site.
[7:38]And there we go.
[7:41]You could look from far.
[7:42]If you got there a little bit later, you're not going to
[7:46]be get you're not going to be very close to the grave
[7:47]of the prophet.
[7:49]But you get there, you find a place and you begin praying.
[7:52]You have an hour until time and that is the best time
[7:57]to prayat.
[7:58]So I will explain inshallah all of that in in Medina you
[8:02]see the in the has mazjid and nebi the most important attraction
[8:08]in Medina is the the prophet's mosque and then you have within
[8:13]the prophet's mosque you have the grave of the prophet and you
[8:16]have there is a huge possibility that the grave of fat is
[8:22]also there next to in her own quarters in her own room
[8:24]chambers and you see the of the prophet the and I will
[8:30]talk about how we should get in the inshallah everyone will get
[8:35]a chance to go at least once and pray in the is
[8:38]the original masjid of so that is where we're going to go
[8:42]and we're going to have to make an appointment on the app
[8:46]you download the app now we we did the hajj we applied
[8:49]through the hajj through nusuk the website now you download the app
[8:55]and we will inshallah about a week before the it opens and
[8:58]you have to select a time.
[8:59]You have to select a time and you go in.
[9:02]Now, they told us they made a lot of promises.
[9:05]Promises were not kept.
[9:07]So, I don't want to come and say when they told us
[9:09]they're going to get us appointments.
[9:10]I'm going to try to get our own appointments and maybe they
[9:15]will get us appointments.
[9:15]So, but you can inshallah apply for appointments.
[9:18]You have to put your visa number and your passport number on
[9:21]the app and inshallah you will be able to register.
[9:24]We'll go to the next slide, please.
[9:27]I just want to show everyone.
[9:28]So this is this is um the the masjid of you see
[9:35]all the way in the corner on the left that is the
[9:40]bak that is the baky cemetery.
[9:42]That is where the im Hass Bakr im and hundreds and thousands
[9:47]of the companions of Allah the the wives of the prophet the
[9:52]daughters of the prophet many of the relatives of the prophet and
[9:55]the Muslims they're buried there you see right to the right of
[10:01]the there are the hotels you see those buildings and then you
[10:04]see there's a place where between in between there's nothing that is
[10:09]where our hotel was built this picture was a little bit older.
[10:13]So our hotel is going to be really close.
[10:14]Fenda, it's going to be very close.
[10:18]It's going to be in that area.
[10:19]So that's actually one of the good places to be in Medina
[10:21]because you come out, you see the graves of the imams of
[10:24]the and where the prophet is buried is on that side.
[10:30]You know, just walking from where the green dome is making a
[10:32]spin all the way on that side, that's about a 105 minute
[10:39]walk.
[10:36]So being on that side is a better place to be.
[10:42]And most of the time we will try to enter into the
[10:46]masjid where the prophet's grave is.
[10:48]That's where we want to be.
[10:49]And now the entrance of the brothers is going to be right
[10:53]in front of us.
[10:54]And what's the gate of the entrance of the sisters?
[10:57]What is it?
[10:59]32.
[10:58]So you're going to have to make go around.
[11:00]You're going to have to go around past the and then you
[11:04]enter from there.
[11:05]enter from that side from the top.
[11:06]So we will explain all of that but um inshallah this is
[11:12]this is I just wanted to show the mazjid of the prophet
[11:14]here's go to another picture please we have another picture so this
[11:20]is uh zoomed in you see those you see the green dome
[11:23]all the way from the the left of the dome that's where
[11:28]the m the original masjid begins to the right that is the
[11:32]original mazjid of the prophet see there's no building on the right
[11:34]and the left of where the masjid is and then the expansion
[11:39]is all behind it.
[11:38]But in the areas in those two places in the middle, you
[11:44]see these places right here where it's it's an opening that has
[11:48]a cover.
[11:49]When the sun comes out, they they cover it.
[11:53]When the sun is not there, they um at night they keep
[11:55]it open.
[11:56]It's under the sky.
[11:59]Most of our prayers with the brothers, we're going to be praying
[12:02]either in in um the first one or the second one.
[12:04]So when you're sitting there, when you're sitting in these open courtyards,
[12:09]you look right in front of you and what do you see
[12:11]right in front of you, the dome of the prophet, you see
[12:14]the dome to the left and the is right in front of
[12:18]you.
[12:18]So if I'm standing like this, the is this way, the is
[12:23]that way.
[12:22]So people are behind where the prophet is standing and or the
[12:26]behind where the prophet is buried and they're all looking that way.
[12:29]You will be able to see where the grave of the prophet
[12:34]and the home of Sai is.
[12:34]Can we go to the next slide please?
[12:36]This in here is the of the prophet.
[12:39]You see the green carpet.
[12:41]That's how they differentiate between whether you're in the RA or you're
[12:46]not in the RA.
[12:48]So there's green carpet.
[12:49]I think this last year they they kind of made it all
[12:53]green the whole area to because people were like I want to
[12:56]be in the green and I want they want to make sure
[12:58]they're in the so then they kind of just confuse people and
[13:02]made the whole place green.
[13:02]So, but we know you know where you're in the when you
[13:07]look to the left you see you see that green there they
[13:09]have Qurans a bookshelf behind the bookshelf behind the Qurans is actually
[13:15]where the prophet is buried so is buried here all the way
[13:21]in the top the top corner that's the the chamber of the
[13:23]prophet and be behind that is the chambers of the family of
[13:29]the prophet and and his house.
[13:30]So can we go to the next slide please?
[13:33]Now that picture that I just showed you earlier that was on
[13:36]this side the left side of this picture from from where the
[13:43]prophet is buried all the way to to this m and this
[13:45]podium that is the according to the hadith of the prophet he
[13:53]says between my grave and my member is a garden in paradise.
[13:59]So imagine you're praying in that place.
[14:03]Allah subhana wa ta'ala accepts your dua and you're you're actually standing
[14:07]in the place where you know for a fact his feet touch
[14:14]this place and the imams of the so is a very sacred
[14:21]place.
[14:19]Inshallah, we will try our best to get in here.
[14:23]And um for the for the sisters, the only way you'll you'll
[14:32]be able to get in there is through the the appointment.
[14:34]For the brothers, sometimes you see an opening.
[14:38]You see an opening and you could get in maybe in the
[14:42]middle of the night.
[14:43]It's open.
[14:44]And then there's also another door where you don't enter into the
[14:49]masjid but you it's called babisam babisam once we see it we'll
[14:53]be able we'll all we'll all see basically 24 24 24/7 except
[14:59]the times of salah you're able to enter through one door and
[15:03]exit through the other door and when you pass you pass right
[15:07]by the grave of able you're basically from here to this all
[15:13]to where the the the prophet is and you pass by that.
[15:17]They'll they just tell you pass by it quickly quickly.
[15:20]But you you'll be able to do that.
[15:22]For the sisters, it's it's unfortunately this is not open.
[15:25]The only opportunity is if you have the pass but then you
[15:31]could always you look at the dome and you say to wherever
[15:33]you are when you're standing between the dome and the you say
[15:40]one salam to the here and one salam you say now my
[15:43]dear brothers and sisters next slide please I wanted to because we
[15:46]are going to be entering into the haram and we're going to
[15:53]be spending a lot of time And probably and sa the safest
[15:58]is to spend the majority of your time at night in the
[16:00]haram.
[16:01]During the day it's hot.
[16:01]During the day you try not to go out as much.
[16:06]I mean the sun is really hot over there and you could
[16:11]get a heat stroke.
[16:11]So you try to avoid walking in the sun.
[16:14]It's not, you know, it's not like vacation where you just want
[16:17]to get some tan or something.
[16:19]That's not the place to do it.
[16:21]This is where you want to avoid being in the sun.
[16:25]And during the time ofam, that's only the time that we we're
[16:27]we try to limit it where the men can't cover their head.
[16:32]Otherwise, you cover you try your best to protect yourself from the
[16:35]sun.
[16:36]So, we're going to go to the haram at night in Medina.
[16:38]We're going to go.
[16:40]You could either go in that first one hour before when you
[16:41]hear the adan or you could go before that.
[16:44]Go.
[16:45]And when you go there in Mazjam or in Medina, you pray.
[16:51]I put a QR code here.
[16:53]It takes you to duas.org and it teaches you exactly how to
[16:58]performat with the duas with everything that you need to do.
[17:04]So this is something very important.
[17:06]You um click on that and save it.
[17:08]If you don't know or you want a reminder, save that on
[17:10]your phone.
[17:11]And it's very easy.
[17:13]You could hold the phone in your in your hand and do
[17:15]do the salah.
[17:17]You could do that.
[17:16]You could read the dua.
[17:19]Any any of that.
[17:19]You could read Quran.
[17:21]You could hold the phone in your hand while you're performing the
[17:23]salah.
[17:24]With regards to Allah subhana wa ta'ala says in the Quran in
[17:38]you pray the midnight.
[17:40]That is how you receive the highest positions in paradise.
[17:45]You want high positions in paradise.
[17:47]Allah is telling Allah this and this applies to all of us.
[17:51]Pray have a strong connection with God.
[17:53]That is how Allah subhana wa ta'ala gives gives you the praiseworthy
[17:57]station.
[17:58]In another verse Allah subhana wa tala in Allah says describing the
[18:06]believers and immad says those are the people who pray.
[18:13]meaning in the middle of the night they're lifted from their beds.
[18:18]That's it.
[18:17]Something wakes them up.
[18:20]They have a very important meeting.
[18:29]And then Allah says in the Quran, no one knows the reward
[18:39]of those who pray the midnight prayer.
[18:41]Not even the angels.
[18:43]Everything you you fast, this is the reward.
[18:46]You could do this, this is the reward.
[18:48]No one knows the reward.
[18:51]Only only Allah subhana wa t'ala knows that because it's something very
[18:55]intimate.
[18:54]It's a relationship between the Abdan God.
[18:57]Everyone's sleeping, everyone's resting.
[18:59]It's between you and Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
[19:02]In a hadith in a hadith from Imam or I believe Imak
[19:09]he says you pray at night Allah will keep your body healthy
[19:18]and it pleases the Lord and it draws down the mercy of
[19:23]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and you are going to be doing what
[19:30]the prophets all of the prophets They used to pray in the
[19:35]middle of the night.
[19:34]So this is this is what they did.
[19:36]This my dear brothers and sisters is an opportunity.
[19:39]If you have not begin, this is the opportunity for you to
[19:44]be begin it.
[19:43]If you already know how but you need the encouragement, this is
[19:48]the time you have no work, no excuses, nothing.
[19:53]We're we're we're going for this long time.
[19:54]This is the time to dedicate our moments towards building a stronger
[20:02]relationship with Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala.
[20:03]So this is the uh my dear brothers and sisters this is
[20:07]the QR code if you want to take it and you will
[20:11]be able to um inshallah inshallah you will be able to see
[20:17]the instructions.
[20:17]By the way duaz.org you know about duas.org right?
[20:20]duaz.org or is a very important um website.
[20:25]All of the duas every day, whatever it is, you you follow
[20:30]that website.
[20:29]It teaches you how to do the duas, duas of any any
[20:33]time, even not only during the hajj, anytime.
[20:36]It's a very important website.
[20:37]Okay.
[20:38]Now we go to the next slide, please.
[20:42]So when we leave, so here's going to this is going to
[20:45]be our program.
[20:47]every salah you go to mazjid in but after prayer before fud
[20:51]we're going to go maybe at like 3:00 a.m.
[20:53]I don't know what time is fud in in in Medina.
[20:56]Maybe an hour an hour and a half before we go to
[21:00]the haram.
[21:01]The men and the women they enter into their own doors and
[21:03]the men they enter into their own doors.
[21:05]I will I will send a message.
[21:06]For example, I'll be at the lobby at this time.
[21:09]Then we could all go out or you could be on your
[21:13]own.
[21:14]I mean it's it's not the masjid is very close.
[21:17]Then we go to the masjid.
[21:19]By the way, before we talk about the Baky in the masjid,
[21:22]they pray Jama.
[21:24]We can follow along when the Imam is praying the Jama, we
[21:33]can follow along, but we must recite the two suras fat and
[21:37]another surah.
[21:39]You recite it in a way that you are not making a
[21:43]scene.
[21:42]You recite it very calmly and then you stay quiet and you
[21:46]listen to the Quran.
[21:46]That's it.
[21:47]Because this is one of the conditions we have.
[21:51]One of the conditions for is that the im has to be
[21:55]the im has to be just meaning they follow the tenants of
[22:01]the faith.
[21:59]And of course we know the imams there.
[22:02]They're not in the school of the because of that we just
[22:08]recite fat and another surah and then you just sit and listen.
[22:11]And it's very beautiful attending the salah there because the imams they
[22:17]read long suras and this is also one of the issues is
[22:20]that sometimes they recite in the middle of the surah.
[22:23]We have to recite a full surah.
[22:25]So recite surahed recite any surah and then just just listen listen.
[22:29]Another thing is that you have to pray on the tba of
[22:34]course and I mentioned we need to pray on something from the
[22:36]earth that is not edible or not wearable.
[22:41]I recommend you take a sa with you.
[22:45]Um you know the prayer if you have the ones from Kbala
[22:47]the ones that have the the soil of Imam Hussein that's the
[22:51]best thing you put it on the ground and you could do
[22:53]sujud on it or you have a sa or a rock or
[22:57]something small that does not because they'll take it from you if
[23:01]they see it the authorities not not the normal people.
[23:02]So you kind of want to be you don't want to be
[23:06]very out in public with it but you you want to have
[23:09]something to do sujud on or you do sujud on straw mats
[23:14]if you have and if you saw that for example they took
[23:19]it from me and I had nothing to pray on then you
[23:20]could pray on the carpet but in mazjid and there are places
[23:27]in the masjid where there's marble on the floor if there's marble
[23:30]you do sujud on the marble You don't you you have the
[23:34]option of praying on the carpet or praying on the marble.
[23:36]You pray on the marble or at least stand on the carpet
[23:40]in a way where your head is on the place of the
[23:46]marble.
[23:46]You do sujud on the marble and you take a small turba
[23:48]with you.
[23:49]If you're in front in the in the front, they might notice
[23:52]it.
[23:51]But if you're in the back, no one's going to notice and
[23:55]it shouldn't be a problem.
[23:55]Yes, doctor.
[23:57]Just a question.
[23:57]What's going to be the is meaning I'm following along.
[24:07]I'm following along.
[24:06]But you follow along exactly the way that they do it.
[24:12]The only place is that you recite the the fat and the
[24:15]other surah.
[24:16]Can you say you don't need to you this the is I'm
[24:18]following along.
[24:20]Yes.
[24:21]Yes.
[24:22]So this is um with regards to the salah you we we
[24:29]pray all the prayers in the mazjid of the prophet and um
[24:34]we you could you could just follow along.
[24:35]Yes, brother.
[24:37]A good question.
[24:39]Thank you for reminding me.
[24:40]There are four places four mosques where you have the option of
[24:48]praying full or mazjid alam mazjid.
[24:51]You could choose.
[24:53]Today I felt like praying, I pray.
[24:55]I felt like praying full, I pray full.
[24:58]We're going to be travelers.
[24:59]So we could, but if you want more, an extra is more.
[25:05]So pray it full.
[25:05]That's that's a place where even though you're a traveler, especially in
[25:11]Medina, we're only staying there for 3 days, but you can you
[25:14]can pray it full.
[25:18]ini injalah next to the grave of IM Hussein.
[25:23]These are the four places.
[25:26]This is according to a hadith from the Im.
[25:29]These are the four places where you can choose.
[25:30]Other than that, we pray.
[25:34]So we went to or we went to or we went to
[25:35]another mazjid.
[25:37]No, we have to pray if it's time.
[25:42]Yes, brother.
[25:43]Alam the grand mosque.
[25:46]Mazjid al Kufa Mazjid al Kufa the place where Amir was struck
[25:52]in two are in two are in Saudi Arabia and the grave
[25:55]of Im Hussein about about 12 mters from the grave of Imam
[26:00]Hussein there you could pray you choose whether you want to pray
[26:02]full or you want to pray shortened.
[26:08]Yes brother Yes.
[26:15]So the fud prayer the timing will will hit it will be
[26:21]everyone has the app you see on your phone what time is
[26:25]the time the fud prayer we're fine with it especially by the
[26:28]time you hear the adan the imam is going to begin the
[26:33]salah about 15 minutes later by the time the salah has begun
[26:35]the has come there's no problem you see the if you pray
[26:41]you could pray right after it or you want to go again
[26:44]to the masjid and prayer there's also nothing wrong with that.
[26:47]The only salah that from my experience I've noticed they pray before
[26:54]is you see the imam says Allahbar and it's still not about
[27:01]15 minutes after sun sunset.
[27:04]So that one you could pray a mustaba prayer, follow along with
[27:10]the imam and then you pray it after or wait until the
[27:12]imam is the imam is done and then and then you could
[27:16]do it.
[27:17]That's the only one I've noticed they started a little bit early
[27:19]but the other ones you should be okay.
[27:22]Someone asked can you do instead of meaning I pray on my
[27:27]own?
[27:27]It is looked down upon because you're in a masjid with hundreds
[27:30]of thousands of people.
[27:30]They're all following the rules.
[27:31]They see this person praying on their own.
[27:33]You don't want to do anything to cap to, you know, gather
[27:38]attention of the people.
[27:38]You want to fit in.
[27:41]If you're doing anything right away, you're going to get spotted and
[27:44]you don't want to do anything like that.
[27:46]So, when they're praying, we pray with everyone.
[27:47]If you felt like you want to make it up, if you
[27:50]felt like you want to you didn't feel like this, you once
[27:53]they're done, you get up and you do another salah.
[27:54]Yes, brother.
[28:01]Will they say anything?
[28:03]No, because even the Malikis, not all Sunnis fold their hands in
[28:09]the prayer.
[28:09]They they some Malikis they have their hands down.
[28:12]So no one's going to say anything.
[28:13]They might say something if they see the Turba, but that one
[28:19]just try to be a little bit discreet about it when you're
[28:21]when you have the TBA with you as you're praying.
[28:24]Okay.
[28:25]Um are we planning se separate the prayers into five prayer times
[28:28]in Medina as opposed to combining?
[28:30]You could do whatever you want.
[28:31]You could you could join them or you could separate them.
[28:35]There's nothing wrong with that.
[28:36]Joining is just to make it easy.
[28:37]But if you're going to be going back and forth to the
[28:41]masjid, then pray the and then pray the after.
[28:43]There's nothing wrong with that.
[28:45]It's up to you.
[28:44]Okay.
[28:45]So, um, now regarding we leave after, sorry, you had a question.
[28:52]Go ahead, sister.
[28:56][Music] Yes.
[28:59]If you see an opening, book it.
[29:01]Don't wait for anyone because there's going to be times for after
[29:09]prayer and after it's times for women and then and then there
[29:11]are times for men.
[29:13]So if you see an opening about a week before we go,
[29:15]you're going to see openings.
[29:19]It's going to go really quick.
[29:19]They told us that they're going to try to get us all
[29:21]together with the guide, but they told us a lot of things.
[29:26]So, I'm I'm going to yeah, I'm not going to count on
[29:32]that.
[29:30]You know, I I can't I I've reached a level where I'm
[29:33]just going to we're just going to inshallah we're going to do
[29:37]our own thing and we're going to do it good, inshallah.
[29:38]So, we're going to wait about a week before.
[29:41]As soon as it opens, you pick the time.
[29:43]By the way, last year when we went to Omrah, we had
[29:47]this issue.
[29:47]your phone when you download the app, it's either set to change
[29:56]the time.
[29:55]So, some people booked 8 o'clock, but then when they got there,
[30:01]8:00 turned out to be another time.
[30:03]So, I don't know, um maybe someone who's uh when you're setting
[30:06]up the app, you make it be where it's 5:00 Saudi time,
[30:12]for example.
[30:10]If you're going in in the at 5:00 p.m., you make sure
[30:16]it's Saudi time, not 5:00 America time.
[30:17]and then it turns out to be something else turn.
[30:20]So you turn off the location I guess when you're doing that
[30:25]so that you're just setting it to that time not your time
[30:28]here because when the locations are on it's setting it to 5:00
[30:30]this time.
[30:31]We had a mess this year when we went during the during
[30:35]the zara some people they're like wait I booked at 5:00 p.m.
[30:38]but it turned out to be another time and and it was
[30:41]a little bit confusing.
[30:41]So that's something inshallah one week before we will we will uh
[30:47]deal with that.
[30:46]I had knee surgery in January and I can't kneel for sujud.
[30:50]Will I be able to sit?
[30:51]They have chairs everywhere.
[30:52]So they have those folding chairs in mazjam and inji.
[30:57]So if you can't sit you could sit on the chair.
[30:59]Okay.
[31:00]So after there are times where the is open of course the
[31:07]bak is only open for the men the sisters.
[31:10]They're not allowed to enter into the Baky.
[31:13]They could just from outside.
[31:14]So, but the times that the Baky is open for the men,
[31:16]that's when the is open for the women.
[31:19]So, and the times are after prayer.
[31:22]So, when we leave after fud prayer, right after we leave the
[31:29]masjid, where do we go?
[31:29]We go to the we go to visit the ims of the
[31:33]and they also open it after prayer.
[31:36]It's open two times a day.
[31:38]It's open for an hour and then they close it.
[31:41]So it's not all open the whole time.
[31:43]So in the bak you see the it's the oldest cemetery in
[31:46]Islam.
[31:47]It's the burial site of Im Hassan imbakas the uncle of the
[31:54]prophet Ibraim the son of the prophet and Safia the aunts of
[31:58]the prophet Fatbad 6 to 7,000 companions and it's only open for
[32:05]the men.
[32:07]woman will be able even from our hotel I believe from our
[32:09]hotel or maybe there's a hotel in front of us I'm not
[32:13]sure but from some of the hotels you'll be able to see
[32:15]inside the because this is this is a picture the one that
[32:20]you're looking at it's from the looking at the mazjid of the
[32:22]prophet our hotels are to the left our hotels are to the
[32:27]left so from the hotels some of them in the dinner uh
[32:31]the the food area you'll be able to see the masjid and
[32:32]you'll be able to see I don't know if our hotel has
[32:35]haram view or not.
[32:35]I think it's a little bit in the back but it's you'll
[32:39]be able to see it inshallah.
[32:42]So um go to the next slide please.
[32:46]So when we enter the you see that top right picture.
[32:51]So that top right picture, it has um the graves.
[32:58]There's there's four four stones in the back and then one in
[33:03]front of it and one all the way to the right.
[33:07]The one to the right is the grave of Abbas or the
[33:11]grave of Fatimad, the mother of Im Ali.
[33:14]The one in front, the one to the front, that first stone,
[33:17]that is the grave of Abbas, the uncle of the prophet.
[33:22]And the ones behind him starting with the starting from the right
[33:26]is the grave of Im Hassan and then Im Z and then
[33:30]IM Bakr and then IM Saddak.
[33:31]In the year 1925 they had a dome a mausoleum but they
[33:36]demolished it.
[33:37]They demolished it and they raised the whole B and they made
[33:41]it the way that you see right now.
[33:42]So this picture I want everyone to also take a picture of
[33:45]this because this is uh it gives you the the especially for
[33:50]the brothers when you're walking in there it tells you where the
[33:54]graves of who are and um you see for example the grave
[34:00]of Ibraim the son of Sam the graves of the daughters of
[34:03]the prophet the wives of the prophet um fatin is all the
[34:08]way to the left here on the bottom left when when you're
[34:11]exiting.
[34:12]Of course, before we used to be able to enter into the
[34:17]and we used to be able to walk around freely.
[34:19]Now, they they tell you you go in, they make you go
[34:23]and do a huge spin where you're not even close to the
[34:27]graves of the imams and you can't stand and do.
[34:28]They consider that shik.
[34:31]They consider that as basically you're worshiping them, which of course no
[34:34]one is worshiping them.
[34:35]We're just visiting them.
[34:35]And the prophet used to visit and the imams of the Alb
[34:39]they all used to visit.
[34:40]But the Wahhabis they think that they know it all.
[34:45]So so they um that's unfortunately that's how it is.
[34:50]So we will be able to visit but as you're walking you
[34:53]could you know you could download the zara of the imams for
[34:56]example and listen to it and you you listen to it silently.
[35:02]They won't be a they won't let you stand and like recite
[35:04]a zara like we do for example when we go to Karbala
[35:07]or we go to Naja or any of that.
[35:09]They just tell you keep walking.
[35:10]So you're going to really see how the Bates were oppressed.
[35:16]You're going to be able to see it.
[35:18]You know, our whole lives we talk about the Muslim of the
[35:20]Bates.
[35:20]When you go there, you see it that the fact that you're
[35:24]just visiting their graves, they do not let you.
[35:28]Can we go to the next um slide, please?
[35:29]So there's additional sites that we're going to be visiting in Medina.
[35:33]There is the mountain of and that is where the battle of
[35:36]took place.
[35:37]Hamza is buried there.
[35:37]We're going to go visit.
[35:40]We're just going to arrange a time that it's not too hot
[35:43]because either ear early in the morning right after we have breakfast
[35:47]after we have breakfast or maybe in the time before because you
[35:52]don't want to be standing outside in when when it's hot.
[35:57]But um we're going to visit in one day we're going to
[36:00]visit we're going to visit Masjid Kuba.
[36:03]Mazja is the first masjid in Islam.
[36:07]When the prophet migrated from Mecca to Medina, he stood in Kuba.
[36:11]He was waiting for Imam Ali and Fat Zah.
[36:13]He stayed there for a few days and he built a masjid
[36:15]in Mecca.
[36:15]He didn't have the freedom to build a masjid.
[36:18]Now he built a masjid.
[36:18]as soon as he gets the freedom and the hadith says the
[36:22]one who does woo in their home or in their hotel wherever
[36:25]you are and you go to and you pray two raas you
[36:33]get the ofrah the of is by going and praying twoas so
[36:37]over there they see taxis of by the masjid of the prophet
[36:44]he's calling people they go and they pray for example salah and
[36:46]then they ride a taxi they go five minutes they they pray
[36:50]in mazja and then they come back.
[36:52]It's not that far.
[36:52]Even there's a pathway where you could walk at night, but I
[36:56]would not recommend doing anything that's going to exhaust your body because
[36:59]you have a long way to go after and you don't want
[37:00]to do anything that's going to get you exhausted.
[37:03]We're going to go as a group once inshallah to do all
[37:08]of those.
[37:06]There's masjid a masjid where in the beginning of Islam the prophet
[37:13]the Muslims used to pray towards Jerusalem.
[37:13]One day the prophet was in this place comes in the middle
[37:18]of the prayer and he turns the prophet to Mecca 180 degrees.
[37:21]So he was praying to the north he started praying to the
[37:27]south.
[37:28]So um that is called the mosque of twoas.
[37:32]And then there is a place called mid the seven mosques and
[37:34]that was where the battle of the trench took place.
[37:38]Mecca is full of historical sites.
[37:39]So the place where the Muslims were under siege and the battle
[37:43]of the trench.
[37:45]So while they were under siege the these were places of for
[37:48]example the mazjid of fat the mj of Ali the mazjid of
[37:52]Salman where they used to worship while while they were there.
[37:56]Of course that place they've limited people from going there.
[37:58]We'll see how we could um go inshallah.
[38:01]Someone asked I should we bring our own phones?
[38:04]Do we need to get another one?
[38:05]Can we take pictures with phone or camera?
[38:08]Yeah you could take your own phones.
[38:10]I don't think you need uh another one unless you have something
[38:13]that you you know you're worried if you when you're coming back
[38:16]if they hold your phone and you could take pictures.
[38:21]Yes, inshallah you could take pictures.
[38:22]That shouldn't be a problem.
[38:24]I mean in the past they've allowed us to take pictures.
[38:27]So now we go to the next slide.
[38:30]I just took this from Google Maps.
[38:31]See Mazjid and Nebi where it says Medina.
[38:35]That's where the prophet's mosque is.
[38:35]Right above it are the seven mosques.
[38:39]That's where the siege was, where the the kandak was.
[38:41]Below it, you see mazjid kba.
[38:46]That's where mazja is because the prophet was coming from the south
[38:49]and he stood in.
[38:49]And then he he completed his way towards Medina.
[38:53]To the left over there is mazjid and then um up there
[38:59]all the way up there that's the mountain of that's the mountain
[39:02]of where the where the battle took place and Hamza is buried
[39:05]there.
[39:06]and it's not showing in this map.
[39:08]Uh all the way on the bottom left corner, that is where
[39:14]masjid is.
[39:15]So when we're going to Mecca, we're going to go and enter
[39:22]into the state ofam from we're going to go to that mazjid.
[39:25]So we're going to be visiting a lot of mosques and um
[39:30]that's that's basically that's what we're doing over there.
[39:31]We're going to be visiting a lot of these mosques inshallah.
[39:37]Does anyone have any questions?
[39:41]So, we're gonna be right by the mazjid of the prophet.
[39:45]Every day we go to the mazjid of the of the prophet.
[39:48]But maybe either in the second day, the second day, the day
[39:53]before we leave um to Mecca, because the day we leave to
[39:55]Mecca, that's a busy day.
[39:57]You want to you everyone wants to get ready wear their day
[40:00]before that we're going to arrange.
[40:01]We go we get on a bus.
[40:04]This is this is a couple like 3 hours.
[40:07]We're in and out in and out.
[40:08]And I'm going to be telling the group, please, you know, this
[40:11]is not a while we're doing this.
[40:13]This is not a time to go shopping.
[40:16]You go in and out because there's date stores and there's shopping
[40:20]and everything.
[40:19]You want to go in and out.
[40:21]Shopping, you're going to have time in Mecca.
[40:23]You're going to have time on your own in Medina.
[40:25]You'll be able to do all of that.
[40:27]That one, it should take just probably three hours, maybe.
[40:32]The faster it is, the less we're going to cause an inconvenience
[40:35]for others because people are going to get tired.
[40:38]You want to go in, you pray two, maybe another two and
[40:40]then you're out.
[40:41]You get in the bus and then you you move on to
[40:46]the next station.
[40:45]Yes, brother.
[40:49]So is not prayed in jama.
[40:54]That's why I shared how you pray.
[40:55]I will be there.
[40:57]I will be praying it.
[40:59]Inshallah.
[41:00]I will teach whoever needs help.
[41:03]But also if you plan on praying over there, start from now.
[41:06]Start from now.
[41:09]It takes 15 minutes.
[41:09]It takes 20 minutes before you sleep.
[41:12]I mean the best time to pray is in the last 1/3
[41:17]of the night meaning before 2 three hours before.
[41:20]But as soon as it hits midnight, midnight, not 12:00.
[41:23]Midnight is the time between between and between.
[41:28]That's the midnight you could officially begin praying.
[41:33]A lot of us we stay up.
[41:34]You get up to you get up.
[41:35]You do and you pray a few.
[41:39]You get yourselves in the habit of praying is 11 prayer.
[41:43]Two two two those are eight.
[41:45]Those are called just like any prayer.
[41:48]And then there's another two that's called and then there's one one
[41:52]has a long 300 times 70 times praying for 40 mentioning them
[42:05]by name seven times and I mention I sent in the link
[42:08]everything that you need to do.
[42:09]uh are we going to visit say the that's in Mecca inshallah
[42:13]we will do that if we do intention of after reciting fat
[42:17]can we still stand with them and listen as part of the
[42:21]salat yes okay now next slide please this is where the action
[42:27]begins so it has we are going to be in order to
[42:34]enter into Mecca you have to do you have to enter Mecca
[42:39]is so sacred that you need to be in the state ofam
[42:44]while you're entering Mecca.
[42:46]So there is several types of Hajj there is there is and
[42:54]then there is or the Hajj that we are performing is called
[43:03]who is this for?
[43:05]This is for people that live outside of Mecca is those people
[43:09]who are taking their cattle with them.
[43:12]You know, people they would travel from Iraq or from from Yemen
[43:14]or from Egypt and they would take their cattle with them to
[43:19]make them to make the sacrifice.
[43:21]That's called we're going to buy over there to make a sacrifice.
[43:25]So we are doing the which begins with and then it has
[43:32]and this is the of because the prophet was in Medina when
[43:37]he performed the Hajj this is what he did.
[43:40]So we are going to perform this type of Hajj.
[43:43]Yes brother.
[43:46]Yes.
[43:53]And so we don't have anything to do with the other ones.
[43:57]Those other ones are for the one of them is for the
[44:01]people who live in Mecca.
[44:01]Another one is for the people who are bringing their sacrifice with
[44:04]them.
[44:05]We are doing what the majority of the do and that is
[44:10]called and the difference one of the issues differences with this is
[44:18]that and when you dora for those of you who have donera
[44:21]before we do the when we first enter we have to do
[44:28]and after the if you don't do you can't get married you
[44:32]can't do anything any relations between a husband and wife you can't
[44:35]do until you do in leading up to even when you have
[44:46]not done you a man and his wife areal upon one another
[44:49]then they do after the so you're going to enter into state
[44:55]ofam again and then you're going to do so this is not
[44:57]that you know it's nothing it's not going to concern us but
[45:01]we are going to do to enterrah means we're entering into Mecca
[45:06]in the state of so how does that begins it has several
[45:17]steps the first step is to wear theam now um someone who
[45:23]wants to get up come here show us this you've seen the
[45:27]you were with us in Omrah a few years ago so this
[45:31]is theam for the brothers Of course, it's two pieces.
[45:35]This is This is two pieces.
[45:40]The brothers are going to You're going to take one and wrap
[45:44]it on the bottom.
[45:48]This is called um you wrap it on the bottom.
[45:48]So, you don't wear anything under.
[45:50]That's it.
[45:52]You And then you take a belt.
[45:56]You take a belt.
[45:56]You you secure it.
[45:58]You seal it.
[45:57]And then you put on top.
[46:01]You just you just wear that on top.
[46:03]So the and the Hajj begins with taking off the jewelry, taking
[46:12]off what you're wearing and you do aul it's to doul see
[46:15]he's wearing the the way theam is supposed to be worn.
[46:20]Of course we buy a belt we buy a belt and then
[46:24]the belt will have will have uh for example uh pockets or
[46:26]place to put your phone, put your money and things like that.
[46:29]We're we're gonna we're gonna buy them all over there.
[46:32]They sell these right by the haram over there in in Medina
[46:35]and in Mecca.
[46:35]Yes.
[46:35]You could you could take it off now.
[46:39]Thank you.
[46:39]Yes.
[46:42]Yes.
[46:45]Yes.
[46:49]Okay.
[46:50]So, I'm going to go with it step by step.
[46:53]In Medina.
[46:55]In Medina.
[46:56]The day that we're leaving.
[46:58]I believe we're leaving on the 2nd the day the day that
[47:04]we're leaving the 2nd of June.
[47:04]We they tell us today the bus is coming at this time.
[47:07]Now of course in the past remember we talked last week that
[47:11]we prefer to do our travel at night so that the men
[47:13]don't have to slaughter a sheep because you can't travel during the
[47:18]day while your head is covered.
[47:22]Now he comes and tells us we have a bus arranged for
[47:24]you.
[47:25]This is what was telling me.
[47:26]He says, "We have a bus arranged for you that's going to
[47:30]leave at 10 10:00 a.m." So, what does that mean for the
[47:33]brothers?
[47:34]That means poor sheep.
[47:37]We're going to have to slaughter sheep.
[47:39]If we can delay it to nighttime, then we can.
[47:43]But if they tell us this is the time that has been
[47:44]set for you, it's not in our control anymore.
[47:47]All the times I've done Hajj, we waited until nighttime because we
[47:51]had control over the bus.
[47:54]Now, we don't have control over the bus.
[47:56]But regardless, if this is something that's imposed on us, then we
[48:00]deal with what we have.
[48:00]So they tell us this is going to come at this time.
[48:05]So what we do is we go in our hotel.
[48:08]In our hotel, you pack your bags.
[48:10]You put all your clothes and everything wherever it's supposed to be.
[48:13]And you do a shower.
[48:17]You do aul.
[48:17]Remember we talked about theul in the first day, how to do
[48:23]aul.
[48:23]And I'm going to send you all a dua a dua on
[48:27]how to perform theul a dua on what to recite and the
[48:30]of the so you say and then you do theul I I
[48:45]do theul for leading up to for Islam if it's your first
[48:49]it'sam seeking near I will tell you all the what you need
[48:54]to say what you're doing while we're there you do theul after
[48:58]you do theul then you wear theam for the sisters theam is
[49:02]any normal clothes that you're wearing as long as it doesn't have
[49:05]zena or it's must have to be white it doesn't have to
[49:10]be for the brothers that is theam that brother wore that is
[49:13]theam that we're going to be wearing we do the shower we
[49:18]wear theam then you try to avoid anything that breaks theam and
[49:22]we're going to mention there's about 25 acts we don't we don't
[49:25]do even though officially we're not in the state ofam but we
[49:32]try to avoid them we bring our bags down and we put
[49:34]them in the bus and then we get in the bus and
[49:39]the bus goes all the way to maybe half an hour ride
[49:45]maybe 25 minutes you go to mazjid there in mazjid the it's
[49:53]to pray anytime you enter any masjid you pray and then if
[49:58]it's time for a salah for example in the past we used
[50:04]to wait until prayer we hear we pray the prayer and then
[50:07]we wear the and we do the of wearing the now I'm
[50:11]I'm offic I'm I'm already wearing the but I need to officially
[50:14]enter into the state ofam so what do I I'm already wearing
[50:21]theam from the bottom.
[50:21]From the top for the brothers, you just open it as if
[50:26]you're wearing it again.
[50:26]You open it and you say, I enter into the state of
[50:39]I enter into the state of for Islam.
[50:46]If it's a one, if it's you say for if it's you
[50:53]say seeking nearness to God.
[50:56]And then as soon as you wear it, what do you begin
[50:58]to say?
[51:00]You begin to say the meaning oh Allah you invited me now
[51:21]I'm answering you now I have come this whole way to answer
[51:25]you this by saying this is like you know when you pray
[51:29]you have to say for the salah to begin that's called this
[51:34]is the of meaning you're saying you're entering into the state of
[51:38]this is why we have to every has to say And there's
[51:46]a hadith a beautiful hadith of Malik Annas who was a Sunni
[51:54]scholar.
[51:51]He was he was he was with im and he saw the
[51:57]imam he wants to say he couldn't say it.
[52:05]He keeps breaking.
[52:05]He keeps crying as he's saying he says and he begins to
[52:09]cry.
[52:10]And then he tells him you have to say it.
[52:13]Oh son of Allah you have to say the is the only
[52:19]way to enter into the state of and then the imam he
[52:24]says how can I say it?
[52:25]Am I really answering the call of God?
[52:28]Am I really returning to Allah?
[52:29]Am I really separating from all of the haram?
[52:32]Am I really doing all of course this is all a teaching
[52:36]lesson.
[52:35]This is a beautiful hadith.
[52:37]I will share it with you all inshallah when we are there.
[52:39]So you say the talia and then after we we're going to
[52:45]recite the talia a few times then we get on the bus
[52:50]and as soon as we recite the talia 25 things become haram
[52:51]upon us.
[52:53]That's going to be in the next slide and we're going to
[52:57]go over all of those.
[52:57]Now what do you do?
[52:57]No.
[52:58]Can you go back just a second?
[53:02]Um then we we enter into Mecca.
[53:03]So depending on how long just let me just finish this and
[53:06]then I'll I'll tell we when we go we we get in
[53:10]the bus inshallah by the way we said that there's a chance
[53:13]of train first they said yes but then they said no.
[53:15]So I think we're just going to all stick together and we're
[53:18]going to just get in the bus inshallah unless something happens where
[53:22]we the chances of that are not going to be high.
[53:25]We're going to do it the way all the the majority of
[53:29]the hajj do it.
[53:28]We get in the bus.
[53:30]The buses are comfortable.
[53:30]They bring you some food.
[53:31]It's going to be it's going to be quiet.
[53:34]You're you're just, you know, you're in the bus.
[53:38]There's AC.
[53:40]So, um, when we enter Mecca, you could recite the Talbia all
[53:43]the way until you see the the buildings of Mecca.
[53:48]Once you see Mecca, then you stop reciting the Talbia.
[53:51]Once we go to Mecca, we're going to go to the hotel.
[53:56]You go, you get your rooms, you get situated, you do everything.
[53:59]You need to use the restroom, you need to eat, anything you
[54:02]need to do, you do that.
[54:05]Then we're going to, depending on the time that we arrived, depending
[54:07]on when everyone's ready, we're going to say, for example, we got
[54:11]to the hotel at this time, we're going to go all to
[54:15]the masjid at this time.
[54:16]We need everyone in the lobby at this time.
[54:18]So everyone they go in their rooms, they drop off their stuff,
[54:25]they they do they do uh woo, restroom, eat, whatever it is.
[54:27]But you have to be when you're going to do the you
[54:30]have to be in the state of wudoo.
[54:32]So make sure that you've done wudoo because during the and the
[54:35]salah of the you have to be in the state of wudoo.
[54:38]You can't be not in the state of wudoo.
[54:41]So we enter into the masjid.
[54:42]When we enter you're going to see thea in front of you.
[54:49]A very beautiful site.
[54:49]This Kaa that has people revolving around it non-stop.
[54:53]You're going to see it.
[54:56]This was the Kaa that was built by Ibraim.
[54:57]This is the Kaa that did around and the imams.
[55:04]Then we do around the seven times.
[55:05]There's more slides that are going to explain everything.
[55:07]Then after we do the we have a prayer behind and then
[55:16]we do the between andw and then we clip our hair and
[55:24]we're out of is done.
[55:24]This process should be the whole beginning when you enter into the
[55:28]all the way to you till you do the maybe maximum two
[55:33]hours.
[55:34]It shouldn't take more.
[55:34]The is probably maximum 1 hour or 45 minutes to an hour,
[55:40]maybe two hours and a half and then you you you do
[55:45]the prayer and then you do the the you just cut a
[55:47]little bit of your your hair just a little bit and then
[55:51]you wait until the Hajj we wait for a couple days until
[55:56]the 8th of to perform the Hajj.
[55:58]Yes.
[55:59]Hajj.
[55:57]So you're going to Yes.
[56:01]Yes.
[56:01]We're wearing at that time.
[56:03]Okay.
[56:03]Now go to the next slide just um this is the so
[56:08]this is to be recited right after entering you say here I
[56:14]am oh Allah here I of course it needs to be said
[56:16]in Arabic you say that once then you enter into the haram
[56:29]and you could continue saying it.
[56:31]Next slide please.
[56:33]So there are certain things that are forbidden during the during the
[56:39]while you're in the state ofam hunting.
[56:42]Now none of us are going to be hunting but in the
[56:48]past people they used to wear all the way from Medina close
[56:51]to Medina and they have to go all the way to Mecca.
[56:55]It would take them about 10 days.
[56:57]They see this deer they see this you know they want to
[56:59]they're hungry but they can't hunt.
[57:00]Hunting is haram while you're in the state of while you're in
[57:06]the state ofam.
[57:05]So, uh, hunting, intercourse, kissing a spouse, touching a spouse with lust,
[57:12]looking at spouse with lust, masturbation, marriage.
[57:16]Marriage is a person, they get married or they conduct a marriage
[57:20]or they're witnesses to a marriage.
[57:21]You can't do that while you're in the state ofam.
[57:25]Use of scented items and perfumes.
[57:28]So for example, I have a deodorant, I have cologne, I have
[57:35]all of the scented lotions and all that stuff I cannot use.
[57:37]That's it.
[57:39]Whatever you smell, you smell.
[57:40]So this is something that we cannot use.
[57:44]And even if for example, you walked by a place and you
[57:49]saw something has a foul smell, you can't close your nose and
[57:51]say, "Oh, what is this?" And you can't do that.
[57:54]That's it.
[57:55]You just walk by it.
[57:55]You want to walk a little bit faster, you're allowed to.
[57:58]But you can't close your nose and and say, "What is the
[58:01]smell?" Or you walk by, for example, a place where it smells
[58:06]really good.
[58:05]You can't just this is, you know, this is good.
[58:09]The only smell that you're allowed to smell is the the the
[58:15]scent of thea thea they they put this type of oils and
[58:17]this type of good scents on them.
[58:19]If you smelled that, that's okay.
[58:21]And in the meas in the past, now they don't have that
[58:25]anymore.
[58:26]in the mas people walking from Saf to Marwa they there were
[58:28]there were uh spice shops and they have in between Saf and
[58:34]Marwa that one there's a hadith that says that's okay other than
[58:37]that we're not allowed to smell anything but that's not even there
[58:39]anymore you're not going to deal with that.
[58:41]So, um, the scented items, this one, we get a lot of
[58:46]questions.
[58:47]They're like, "What about deodorant?
[58:48]What about toothpaste?
[58:48]What about Duringam?" Just try to avoid all of that.
[58:53]That's it.
[58:52]During, try to avoid all of that.
[58:55]You want to brush your teeth, brush your teeth without toothpaste.
[58:58]You want to You want to, you know, feel you could, you
[59:02]could wash yourself with water.
[59:05]You could wash yourself with water, but you cannot use, you could
[59:08]use soap to clean your hand, but you cannot use scented items.
[59:11]And you cannot wear um tadin like anything that is lotion like
[59:19]anything that is applying lotion you cannot apply lotion.
[59:21]So maybe deodorant has no smell anything that's oil based.
[59:27]Maybe your your uh deodorant does not have smell but it's a
[59:30]type of tadhen.
[59:32]It's oil based.
[59:31]So that is something that you cannot do.
[59:34]What about sunscreen?
[59:36]Same sunscreen is taden.
[59:38]It's protecting yourself from um you're applying lotion.
[59:40]You're applying a type of lotion.
[59:45]You cannot do that.
[59:44]Yes, brother.
[59:48]Yeah.
[59:50]You don't look.
[59:51]You try to close your eyes.
[59:52]It doesn't invalidate anything.
[59:54]It's not like it's one of the sins or something, but you
[59:59]you can't.
[60:00]And this is in Medina.
[60:01]You wear your haram.
[60:02]You're coming down in the lobby.
[60:03]Everyone's like, "Let me look at myself in the mirrors all over."
[60:07]You have to try You have to try not doing that.
[60:10]You want someone to take a picture of you and then they
[60:12]show you the picture.
[60:13]You're allowed to do that.
[60:16]Even using your phone as a selfie, that's a mirror.
[60:18]You should not do that.
[60:20]Someone took a picture of you, you could see it.
[60:23]And my advice is wait until you're done.
[60:25]Then you could then you could see and take pictures.
[60:26]You could wear theam and take pictures before you enter into the
[60:31]state ofam.
[60:30]But while you're in the state ofam, try to avoid all of
[60:35]that.
[60:36]Yes.
[60:37]Who had their hands up?
[60:37]Okay, good.
[60:38]So um use use of scented items and perfumes.
[60:43]Um nine wearing sewn clothes for men only.
[60:48]Women are allowed to wear normal clothes.
[60:50]Yes, sister.
[61:00]Sorry.
[61:02]Because women wear hijab.
[61:04]Because to protect their modesty.
[61:06]And and this is this is the way it is.
[61:09]This is Hajj.
[61:11]A lot of things don't make sense.
[61:12]Why do we do around the Kaa seven times?
[61:14]Why do we throw seven stones?
[61:17]Why do we walk between Saf and Marwa?
[61:19]A lot of things don't make make a lot of sense.
[61:20]But this one, it makes sense because you can't have women dress
[61:25]like men while they're in the state ofam because the rules of
[61:30]modesty.
[61:30]Yes, sister.
[61:28]So the belts that go with So belts and sandals for the
[61:36]men they are allowed to be sewn.
[61:39]There's that's not a problem.
[61:40]The belts and the sandals.
[61:43]But other than that, even sometimes you buy theam, it has it
[61:46]might have stitches on it like it's sewn.
[61:48]There's a tag or something.
[61:48]Try to remove that.
[61:50]And even when you wear theam, you can't fold the in a
[61:55]way where it's not going to fall.
[61:57]You know, theam is it's just you're just it's loose.
[61:59]It's supposed to be loose.
[62:02]You can't wear it fold it in a way where it's it's
[62:04]it has to you just throw one side on the other side
[62:07]and that's it.
[62:08]And for us the followers of the alb we cover both shoulders
[62:12]as well.
[62:13]You cover both shoulders.
[62:13]And um like like if you've seen some of the pictures of
[62:19]others, they have one of one of the shoulders is is revealed.
[62:21]For us, we cover both of our shoulders while we were in
[62:27]safety pin.
[62:27]Safety pin sayani says no, but other marij perhaps they allow it.
[62:37]Other maraj I believe they allow it.
[62:39]Sayani says no.
[62:38]But it's it's best to avoid it.
[62:43]It's best to avoid it and just and just put it um
[62:45]just throw it the way it is.
[62:49]Yes.
[62:48]It's going to keep falling off.
[62:52]You just keep putting it back on.
[62:54]It's No sheep.
[62:53]No sheep.
[62:55]No, no, no.
[62:57]No, no.
[62:59]It's not that bad.
[62:58]Come on.
[63:00]So, um, wearing stone clothes for men only.
[63:04]I mean, guys, we're going to remind you, you have to drop
[63:07]the everything, you know, you're just wearing theam.
[63:11]So, so no sewn clothes while while you're in the state ofam
[63:16]tan eyeliner and that is that's something that was used in the
[63:22]past.
[63:22]We don't do that.
[63:22]Looking in the mirror, you don't do that because anything that is
[63:28]showing attachment to when we look in the mirror, we're always looking
[63:30]at ourselves and you're seeing how do you look?
[63:31]Am I now when you're in Hajj, that's it.
[63:34]You're focused on you're focused on God wearing socks and closed shoes
[63:43]for men only.
[63:42]So men, we've we've talked about this I think a lot in
[63:49]the chat.
[63:50]So men um just make sure that your the top of your
[63:52]foot is revealed.
[63:54]If you buy sandals that are kind of covering, what you do
[63:57]is you could just, you know, take a knife or scissors and
[64:00]cut a part of it.
[64:01]But try to be comfortable while you're walking.
[64:04]There's going to be a lot of walking.
[64:06]Of course, there's a lot of walking in general.
[64:10]Only while you're in, you need to do this.
[64:13]Otherwise, take some comfortable shoes because you're walking to the massid.
[64:17]You're going every day to the mazjid.
[64:19]Comfortable shoes, but don't get some bulky shoes because you need shoes
[64:23]that you're going to be able to put in your bag.
[64:25]You go in this masjid, you need it with you.
[64:28]You need you need to be able to slip on and slip
[64:32]off.
[64:33]Yes, sister.
[64:35]As long as the leather is um Yeah, you could.
[64:38]The leather is Islamically slaughtered, then it's not going to make you
[64:42]nudas.
[64:43]But if the leather is um if the leather is probably from
[64:48]an animal that is not Islamically slaughtered, halal slaughtered, then it could
[64:51]probably cause a problem in making your foot in a j and
[64:56]entering into the mazjid haram.
[64:58]Yeah.
[64:58]Um, wearing socks and closed shoes, removal of tooth.
[65:05]So, dentist, no removing teeth, right?
[65:07]Okay.
[65:08]Uh, carrying a weapon, killing insects.
[65:12]You see an insect next to you, that's it.
[65:15]You leave it.
[65:17]Especially in Malifa.
[65:17]By the way, there's a hadith.
[65:21]It says that Malifa is a desert.
[65:23]You're you're from we go to Mudaf and it's at night.
[65:26]I've never seen any harmful or anything.
[65:29]There's a hadith Allah says that Allah orders the harmful insects and
[65:36]all of that to leave the day before the Hajj.
[65:39]And subhan Allah, you see millions of Hajj they go.
[65:43]You never hear of, oh, this person got stung by a scorpion
[65:48]and this person got stung by a snake or any of that.
[65:50]You don't hear that.
[65:52]There's actually a hadith that says that.
[65:55]So, but if you see if you see anything, then you just
[65:57]leave it.
[65:59]Unless it's harmful, unless you saw something that is truly going to
[66:02]harm you, then you can defend yourself.
[66:04]Yes.
[66:05]What if like mosquitoes or flies like a reaction?
[66:09]Yeah.
[66:09]Killing an insect.
[66:11]If you did it on purpose, I mean, it wasn't your intention,
[66:14]just like a reflex.
[66:16]Inshallah.
[66:17]Inshallah, that won't be uh that won't be an issue.
[66:21]It's too hot for mosquitoes to survive over there.
[66:24]So it shouldn't be it shouldn't be an issue.
[66:26]Um especially in the past we used to stay infat you know
[66:32]the previous years they didn't have AC in Arafat.
[66:35]So there you feel mosquitoes you could move you could move it
[66:37]away from you as long as you're not trying to purposely kill
[66:40]it.
[66:41]Now they have AC blasting where there's not going to you're you're
[66:48]not going to see you're I mean last time I went there
[66:49]was AC in in Arafat there there was AC in Mina we
[66:54]didn't have an issue of of bugs because there's a lot of
[66:56]wind you know a lot of uh cold air hitting adornment meaning
[67:02]wearing jewelry and wearing you know all of that unless you wear
[67:06]for example you wear a katam you wear a ring because this
[67:10]is something that you're accustomed to always wearing.
[67:12]You wear it for mustab then you're allowed to or a lady
[67:16]that's wearing her wedding band for example.
[67:17]This is something that she's always wearing it.
[67:19]She's not wearing it for extra adorement that is allowed but bringing
[67:23]out extra pieces of jewelry and all of that that is something
[67:27]that you should avoid doing while in the state of haram.
[67:30]Yes, if you're using it as a watch then there's nothing wrong
[67:36]with that.
[67:37]But if you're using it to show off or to to kind
[67:39]of you know it's like something very expensive fancy you want to
[67:43]show it then you should avoid doing that.
[67:46]So it all depends on the what you what it's being used
[67:50]for.
[67:51]Um adornment applying lotion and oils.
[67:53]So that one unless it became a problem like it became you
[68:00]know you're walking and you you really need you know the sometimes
[68:05]the um it it causes it it's maybe the rubbing or all
[68:08]of that.
[68:10]So here you're allowed to as a form of medication but not
[68:12]applying it before there's a problem.
[68:14]Once there's a problem then you could deal with it.
[68:19]So um shaving or removing any hair from the body that's it.
[68:22]You're not allowed to do any of that while in the state
[68:27]ofam.
[68:25]Yes, sister.
[68:27]No.
[68:28]If a hair naturally falls, there's nothing wrong with that.
[68:32]But you should not do something to to cause the hair to
[68:34]fall.
[68:35]So even for example, when you're drying your hair, be careful not
[68:41]to do something that is going to um cause the hair to
[68:46]fall.
[68:45]Yeah.
[68:46]If you didn't make maybe maybe it was already like it already
[68:50]fell you know you didn't you didn't cause it to fall then
[68:52]that's that's not a problem but you should avoid doing anything that
[68:54]is going to cause the hair to fall.
[68:59]Um covering of head or immersing body in the water for men.
[69:03]So during the state ofam men that's it you cover you you
[69:05]uncover your head.
[69:08]You can't put any type of covering on your head.
[69:13]Um covering of the face for women.
[69:15]So women can't cover their face.
[69:17]Sometimes the hijab comes down or or something that is a form
[69:23]of covering.
[69:22]Any type of covering of the face is not allowed.
[69:25]Why?
[69:26]Because in the past people of prestige, they would cover their face.
[69:31]So here in the Hajj, that's it.
[69:35]There's no prestige.
[69:35]You can't cover your you can't cover your head for the brothers
[69:38]and you can't cover your face for the sisters.
[69:41]During after COVID, they the scholars allowed people to wear masks because
[69:48]it became uh you know a health issue, a health scare, a
[69:54]health concern.
[69:53]If someone truly feels that they are sick and they're going to
[69:58]get other people sick, especially for the for the brothers, wearing a
[70:01]mask is not an issue.
[70:01]But for the sisters, if it's be due to a health reason,
[70:07]then you would be allowed to do so.
[70:10]But otherwise try to avoid um covering the face traveling under any
[70:15]shade for men.
[70:16]So this is probably it's going to have you know being in
[70:20]the bus if they put us in the bus it's kaf for
[70:24]during the day at night.
[70:24]Um the majority of the scholars or many of the scholars allow
[70:27]it.
[70:28]Some scholars also don't allow it at night.
[70:32]Sistani sallallah they allow traveling at night as long as it's not
[70:37]raining or there's no severe wind.
[70:38]So when we're going from Medina to Mecca, if it's at night
[70:42]and it's not raining, then you're fine.
[70:44]You don't have to give the kaf.
[70:45]But if it was during the day for the brothers, you entered
[70:47]into a bus or in a moving vehicle, then count that you
[70:51]have to give one kaf.
[70:52]You could give that later.
[70:53]Not it doesn't have to be immediately.
[70:54]You could wait and send it back home wherever you want a
[70:59]month later later on.
[71:00]It's just something that you would have to do later on.
[71:04]So traveling under shade, causing yourself to bleed.
[71:08]You can't cause yourself to bleed.
[71:12]Clipping of nails to lie, swear or brag to lying to lie
[71:14]to swear wah.
[71:16]So this is where a lot of people struggle.
[71:19]Wall you know I'm so tired.
[71:21]Wallah this and that.
[71:21]That's it.
[71:23]You can't say wah.
[71:26]You you have to be while saying wallah or by swearing by
[71:29]the name of god invoking the name of god.
[71:33]This is something that is um requires has a kafar.
[71:38]Yes.
[71:43]So that's also an issue.
[71:46]If we arrived at night to Aizia, if we traveled like we
[71:52]began our travel at time, then we arrived to Aizia.
[71:58]Usually in the past what we would do is we would arrive
[71:59]at night and then before the sun comes out from the building
[72:04]we go to mazjid haram so that we're not we're not um
[72:06]but sometimes the the group is delayed and then the sun comes
[72:12]out all the men have to give kaf this time if they
[72:13]begin us if they begin the journey with us during the day
[72:18]then we all have to give kaf regardless.
[72:21]So eacham there's one kaf of being um under the shade or
[72:24]or traveling while the shade.
[72:25]So maybe the second time when we do the Hajj if they
[72:28]also put us during the day which we will we will try
[72:32]to avoid because we go to at night but if they ended
[72:34]up putting us during the day then there's another kaf for the
[72:37]second clipping of the nails to lie swear or brag swear or
[72:44]brag these these people are better than these people this this community
[72:48]is better than this community none of that and arguments debating with
[72:53]people this is something So for women, can we brush our hair?
[73:04]If knowing combing will put hair out naturally, then no, you don't
[73:07]comb your hair because if you know, it's going to make the
[73:10]hair fall off.
[73:12]Okay, good.
[73:14]Can we go to the next slide, please?
[73:14]So now um the the when we enter into Mecca you're going
[73:23]to see thea right in front of you.
[73:25]Now thea has several corners.
[73:30]Thea has the corner of the the black stone and that's the
[73:34]one that is right by the door of the cabba.
[73:37]And then you have that gold um that gold it's about 100
[73:42]ft or 200 feet from the cabba.
[73:45]That's called M Ibraim.
[73:45]So after you do around the Kaa, you have to go and
[73:50]do salah behind M Ibraim.
[73:51]Now when we enter into the haram, you're going to see because
[73:57]the the the black stone, that's where the taw begins.
[73:59]So how are we going to begin the taw?
[74:03]People are all walking.
[74:07]The taw is walking counterclockwise around the counterclockwise.
[74:11]And when you do taw, your left shoulder has to always be
[74:16]towards the direction of the cabba.
[74:21]So thea is here.
[74:21]I'm walking like this.
[74:24]I'm walking like this where my left shoulder is always to the
[74:27]if I do this in the middle of the and the is
[74:31]behind me.
[74:31]Those two steps that I took, that was not a part of
[74:35]the I have to immediately take a step back, fix myself, and
[74:39]then make sure I'm my my my shoulder is towards the Yes.
[74:45]So that's going to be where when I'm talking to people when
[74:50]we do the I'm like, "Watch your shoulder.
[74:52]Watch your We could talk during the duaf, wouldn't it?" with the
[74:54]group.
[74:54]Some people they're in a whole different world.
[74:57]They're taking selfies and they're doing all this stuff.
[74:59]So you during you do your you do what you're supposed to
[75:04]do.
[75:05]You put your should left shoulder always to thea.
[75:06]So everyone's walking around the cabba.
[75:08]You just walk with everyone.
[75:11]You can't turn your back in the middle of the Tawah.
[75:13]If you turned your back in the middle of the Taw and
[75:16]you took a step, then that means you didn't perform the Taw
[75:19]correctly.
[75:20]You have to immediately fix yourself and put your shoulder to the
[75:24]Kaa.
[75:24]If if you got moved around because it's something that's not in
[75:28]your control, then that's okay.
[75:32]But you have to try to fix yourself and put your shoulder
[75:34]always to the Kaa.
[75:36]Are you allowed to turn your turn your neck?
[75:37]Yes, you're allowed to look this way or that way.
[75:39]But you be careful because sometimes when you're looking this way, what
[75:43]do you do?
[75:45]Your shoulder automatically automatically turns.
[75:46]I'm looking this way, my shoulder turned this way.
[75:49]So you be careful and we just walk around the cabba.
[75:53]So how are we going to enter into the taw?
[75:58]People are walking in the taw.
[75:59]So what I need to do is I need to start probably
[76:04]one corner or two corners two corners before I put myself in
[76:09]mo in motion and then I'm walking with the people because when
[76:14]I enter into mazjidam people are all walking this way around thea.
[76:18]I'm entering like this and people are walking this way.
[76:22]So what I need to do is I need to get like
[76:23]this and I slowly start entering entering entering and then I'm in
[76:30]motion and then I start walking with the people around the kappa.
[76:33]So this is something that we have to be that we have
[76:37]to be very careful with.
[76:38]If you purposely turn your back, you have to retrace your steps
[76:40]and you have to go back.
[76:43]But if you if it's too much you couldn't and you lost
[76:45]count, then it's okay.
[76:47]But you have to try to avoid doing that.
[76:50]Yes, brother.
[76:52]Okay, the very important question during the don't touch thea don't touch
[76:59]don't touch Ibrahim don't touch anything you just want to make sure
[77:03]you're doing the then you have the whole the all the time
[77:07]there you could go kiss thea you could go do whatever you
[77:11]want after but during the you don't do anything that um basically
[77:16]takes you out of the form of taw so when we enter
[77:19]there's a green light.
[77:21]You're going to see a green light in mazjid haram.
[77:25]That green light signals that this is the corner.
[77:26]Basically when you pass that green light that's the sign that you
[77:30]have passed the black stone the begins at.
[77:39]So before when when we're entering into the we put ourselves in
[77:43]motion and then we see the green light is approaching.
[77:47]So what you do is you renew your nia.
[77:48]What's my I do around the and then as soon as you
[78:06]pass the black stone you raise your hand and you say and
[78:10]then you're officially in the so each has a of course the
[78:17]first that we do is I do around the seven times for
[78:25]the for Islam.
[78:27]Then after we finish this, you want to do the the next
[78:33]two three days.
[78:32]The the obligatory that we're going to have to do during this
[78:37]trip are three and but you're going to do every day you're
[78:45]in the haram.
[78:46]You could do you're allowed to do that as much as you
[78:57]want anytime.
[78:58]So is the form of haram.
[79:00]Yes, brother.
[79:03]You could do it anytime.
[79:08]Well, no.
[79:09]We're probably I I highly urge everyone to do before the sun
[79:16]comes out or not during the day.
[79:17]I've done during the day.
[79:19]I mean, sometimes you have to, but the heat of the heat
[79:23]of the bodies that are there and the heat of the sun
[79:25]hitting you, it's going to make you pass out.
[79:29]So, you you try to avoid doing when the sun is hitting
[79:34]you.
[79:34]Even when you were not in the state ofam, you could cover
[79:36]your head.
[79:37]You could wear something to cover your head, but you try to
[79:40]avoid that because it's it's too hot.
[79:41]Do it at night.
[79:43]You have all the hours at night.
[79:45]You doaw at night.
[79:47]Most of the taws I do is I I do them at
[79:48]night.
[79:48]I don't want to do anything that's going to get me exhausted.
[79:54]So, we we begin the um begins at the black stone.
[79:56]The green light marks where the taw begins.
[79:59]But you need to get in motion before and then um get
[80:04]in wherever you can before the green light in order to start
[80:07]your taw.
[80:08]So before I reach the I have to make sure my my
[80:09]shoulder is to thea and I'm ready.
[80:15]I'm in motion to do the and I've done my try to
[80:16]stay between the and Ibraim.
[80:19]So you see where Mahame Ibrahim is that gold thing you look
[80:22]inside it when you go don't look inside it the when we
[80:26]first go because that you're in tawath but after you're done go
[80:30]and look inside it you see two footprints of prophet Ibraim because
[80:33]there was a stone there Ibraim would stand on it and it
[80:37]would elevate him it would elevate him and he would take the
[80:43]blocks and he would build thea that was Allah says go and
[80:48]pray where Ibraim stood and prayed.
[80:49]So, um then when you go and you pass, you see that
[80:54]half circle by the Kaa?
[80:55]That one you don't touch it as well because that is a
[80:59]part of the if I'm putting my hand over it, it's basically
[81:02]like I'm in thea not outside thea.
[81:07]So that is called prophet is the son of Ibraim is buried
[81:11]there and his mother Hajar and hundreds of prophets are buried here.
[81:17]They're buried here between between the and thea and it's um if
[81:24]you can sometimes they open it.
[81:25]You go there and you do dua by inside sometimes they'll open
[81:31]it for you.
[81:30]Yes, brother.
[81:34]So between and thea you should try to go.
[81:39]If the tawath became too big and you saw that I can't
[81:44]it's too much for me then you could be in the outside
[81:49]edges.
[81:49]So you don't have to if it became too big and too
[81:52]much but it's preferable to do the between thea and Ibraim.
[81:58]Sometimes the extends all the way the whole courtyard and it's just
[82:03]too much.
[82:05]So sometimes I've tried to do it inside but if we have
[82:07]a big group we're we might have to do it outside.
[82:10]It's okay.
[82:09]Scholars allow it.
[82:11]So um the left shoulder must remain towards thea at all times.
[82:14]Cannot touch thea if you doubt your number.
[82:18]So how many times do we do around thea?
[82:20]Seven.
[82:21]So you begin at the you do one full circle.
[82:27]Once you reach you say one.
[82:29]Then you do another one.
[82:29]You say two.
[82:31]You wear a ring.
[82:32]There's duas.
[82:33]There's a dua for the first round.
[82:35]Dua for the second round.
[82:36]Dua.
[82:37]That's how you keep track of where you're at.
[82:40]We'll try to stay together so that we all are doing the
[82:44]together.
[82:45]But this is important that if you lost track, so if you
[82:49]uh doubt what number am I on the third, am I on
[82:53]the fourth, am I on the fifth, I don't know where I
[82:58]am, the the the the is void.
[82:59]Any doubt in the real doubt, not like maybe I'm I'm thinking
[83:02]and then I remember where I am, then that's okay.
[83:05]But if I have real doubt then it will invalidate.
[83:11]Losing the woo.
[83:10]Losing the wudoo in the will invalidate the is like salah.
[83:18]It needs woo.
[83:18]If someone had to use the restroom after the fourth round after
[83:25]they could step out, they go use the restroom do and then
[83:31]come back in and they begin counting after the fourth round.
[83:33]But if someone lost their wulu before the fourth round, they have
[83:41]to start all over.
[83:41]So, so this is uh with regards to with regards to the
[83:47]and if you're re-entering, you renew the intention when re-entering.
[83:51]Yes, sister.
[83:57]Or we can stay until No, you don't have to step.
[84:06]If you want to re begin another, you could just continue walking
[84:09]until you reach the the place where the begins.
[84:17]Yes.
[84:12]The Yes.
[84:14]Um, so this is thea.
[84:18]Can we go to the next slide please?
[84:23]So this is an image of thea.
[84:25]You see there is Ibraim the the is the corner that is
[84:32]facing us right now.
[84:32]It's recommended to kiss the prophet kissed al and he kissed the
[84:37]Yemeni corner which is the corner before right before the it's called
[84:44]the Yemeni corner.
[84:45]So there's the Iraqi corner there's the Syrian corner there's the there's
[84:49]the Yemeni corner because the ka is a square.
[84:53]So this is where these places are.
[84:54]The prophet he he touched and he kissed the Yemeni corner and
[84:58]there you look at the Yemeni corner you see cracks in the
[85:02]Kaa and there's nails.
[85:04]Why?
[85:05]Because that is where the Kaa opened the walls of the Kaa
[85:12]opened and uh Im Ali's mother entered in there.
[85:15]She delivered and she came out three days later.
[85:17]So you'll you'll be able to see that the corner right right
[85:22]so so that's the the one that's right in front of us
[85:24]the one behind it the one on top of it the top
[85:28]left is the ye corner that one is the corner and um
[85:34]this is thea we're going when we're there we're going to another
[85:39]looking at thea is a form of ibada sometimes you're in you
[85:44]entered into the masjid you're tired you can't do you can't do
[85:46]anything Sit and look at the cabba.
[85:48]Sit and look at the cabba.
[85:49]That is a form of Okay.
[85:52]Um next next slide please.
[85:56]This is just covering what we've done.
[85:59]So the you do theaw then after you do theaw you keep
[86:02]your woo right away we go to ibraim.
[86:05]That's Ibraim.
[86:06]We have to go and pray behind Ibraim.
[86:10]So that we see Mak Ibrahim in front of us and the
[86:16]Kaa is also in front of on the other side of M
[86:17]Ibraim.
[86:18]Anywhere where is for example M Ibrahim is here Mbraim is here
[86:25]but then the Ka is that way you have to go and
[86:26]pray two behind.
[86:29]So you say any that you do is seven rounds and twoas.
[86:42]Can someone for example I'm tired today.
[86:45]Can I do just one round around thea?
[86:48]No.
[86:49]Can I do six rounds?
[86:52]No.
[86:53]Today I feel like I have more energy.
[86:55]Can I do 10 rounds?
[86:59]No.
[86:57]means seven times and prayer behind Ibrahim.
[87:02]When you do the recommended to like the nights we go to
[87:08]the haram by Mbraim it's very crowded because everyone who does their
[87:12]they have to go pray behind Ibrahim when you do the recommended
[87:15]you could pray anywhere anywhere face the but when you do the
[87:19]those threes we will make sure we enter into Ibrahim now not
[87:25]enter in Ibrahim but we see where Mah Ibrahim is in front
[87:28]of us and the Kaa is on the other side now something
[87:32]you're going to See that?
[87:33]It's strange.
[87:35]You're going to go and you want to pray and you see
[87:38]five ladies praying in front of you for the guys.
[87:39]Are you allowed to pray there?
[87:43]Yes.
[87:44]Mid Haram is the only masjid where there's no way to there's
[87:52]no way to control where men and where women are and everyone
[87:54]is in a state of you just want to do your prayers.
[87:59]you try to avoid for example if you're a man where the
[88:01]woman in front of you but it's it's something that is unavoidable
[88:05]you want to pray your prayer you go and you stand wherever
[88:08]and you pray so that is a prayer once we're done so
[88:16]so we said the was we we do we we do the
[88:20]we went to we do the we enter Mecca we do the
[88:26]around the the we do prayers Then we do the between the
[88:33]saf and after we've prayed here there's behind Ibraim behind where Ibraim
[88:39]is is where can we go to the next slide where behind
[88:42]where Ibraim is is the the can you go to the next
[88:50]slide just a second and then we'll come back we'll come back
[88:53]to this one.
[88:55]Okay.
[88:55]So you see there's the Kaa the the mountain that is closer
[88:58]to the Kaa is a Safa that one a Safa the one
[89:03]all the way on top over there is the Marwa we're going
[89:07]to have to walk between Safa and Marwa beginning at Safa you
[89:11]begin at Safa and you walk to Marwa.
[89:14]So when you finish when you finish you could go on your
[89:19]way to the on your way to begin the s you could
[89:20]drink water there's zam water everywhere in the haram even you could
[89:28]drink they have zam water in mazjidi u you drink and then
[89:31]you begin the now we'll go back to uh to the next
[89:35]slide the the does not require wudoo the does not require wudoo
[89:43]and even sometimes if a lady is not able to enter into
[89:46]the masjid for specific reasons, she can go to the saf she
[89:51]can go to the saf and from the saf she could look
[89:55]at thea and that is a form of ibada so that she
[89:59]feels that she is you know in the haram.
[90:02]So when we go to the when we go to the s
[90:06]must be done at the same day as the so maybe say
[90:11]for example I got tired because it is exa it is a
[90:13]little bit tiring you could probably rest for an hour or two
[90:18]but then you have to do the sai it's they they're they're
[90:20]kind of inseparable they have to be done together usually we do
[90:23]it right away we take for example maybe 10 15 minutes we
[90:28]take a break and you could walk slow you could walk We
[90:31]go we walk to the Saf and then we begin at the
[90:36]Saf.
[90:36]So Saf was a mountain and Marwa is a mountain.
[90:41]And the story behind this is that Hajar when Ibraim he came
[90:43]and he left Hajar and is he left them and is crying
[90:48]and crying and crying.
[90:49]So Hajar she starts running between the mountains looking for water for
[90:53]her son is she's looking for water.
[90:56]Suddenly she sees is he stopped crying.
[91:00]She thinks her son died.
[91:03]She comes and she sees there's a spring of water.
[91:08]Zum and she begins to say zam zam zam meaning stop.
[91:10]She's collecting the water and this became known as the spring or
[91:14]the well of zum.
[91:17]Because of zam zam birds started flying around Mecca and tribes they
[91:21]saw birds flying around Mecca.
[91:23]Mecca became settled after that event.
[91:25]It was a miracle.
[91:27]Mecca was a is a valley.
[91:28]It has nothing.
[91:29]Even when you look at the mountains, you see the mountains, they're
[91:33]just rocks.
[91:36]There's nothing on them.
[91:35]So there's Ibraim says so here and are from the signs of
[91:50]God.
[91:48]Allah says, Meaning anyone who does the Hajj and the they have
[92:02]to walk between Saf and Marwa.
[92:03]And one hadith says from the most beloved places on earth for
[92:11]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is between Saf and Marwa because there every
[92:16]person that has a little bit of arrogance and pride in them
[92:19]that is taken out.
[92:22]The kings have to come and walk between these two mountains.
[92:24]Allah had to walk between these two mountains.
[92:27]No matter how rich you are, how poor you are, everyone is
[92:30]walking back and forth between these two mountains of Saf and Marwa.
[92:37]So we begin at Saf.
[92:37]Now just like when we said regarding during the Kaa in the
[92:43]your shoulder has to be during the towards the in the back
[92:48]your your face has to be facing the mountain that you're walking
[92:54]to.
[92:55]So if I'm walking to Marwa, I have to walk straight to
[92:56]Marwa.
[92:57]I can't say, "Hey guys, where are you?
[93:00]I'm waiting for you." You you're you're walking to Marwa.
[93:02]When you're coming back to Saf, you're walking, you're looking at Safa.
[93:06]You can't turn your back.
[93:09]Even when you want to signal to someone, you tell them, "I'm
[93:11]here." You know, you you could talk, but you can't turn your
[93:17]back in any way because if I turn my back and I'm
[93:18]walking, then that means I'm not doing the Sai correctly.
[93:22]So the Sah needs to be done correctly.
[93:25]And you you walk you begin at the Safa.
[93:28]You see that there's it's a hill.
[93:32]It's up it's it's lifted.
[93:33]You keep walking until you feel the elevation.
[93:35]It's a it was a mountain.
[93:37]They've they've kind of tore it down until you feel the elevation
[93:40]and then you turn.
[93:43]Some people because the place of the turn the mountain is for
[93:46]example at the end of the room but the place of the
[93:50]turn is here.
[93:49]Some people as soon as they reach the place of the turn
[93:54]they turn.
[93:55]they didn't reach the the mountain.
[93:56]So you have to walk towards the mount.
[93:59]Once you reach it then you turn.
[94:01]So some people because of these 10 feet they end up ruining
[94:03]their their s.
[94:05]So you make sure you feel the elevation.
[94:08]You feel as if you've you've hit the mountain and then you
[94:11]turn around and you walk.
[94:14]Here my dear brothers and sisters there's one very very important issue
[94:19]during in this mah they have made the mas seven stories same
[94:27]with the the haram you could do from the third fourth fifth
[94:33]you could there's many stories where do we do the ground floor
[94:38]where do we do the ground floor You wait.
[94:44]You wait because here you have to make sure you're you're doing
[94:50]between these two places.
[94:53]Last year and several times people have this has happened to them.
[94:57]You were don't we don't want to say we don't want to
[95:02]hear anything else but so I mean maybe maybe some scholars allow
[95:08]it but from what I'm told you wait you they tell you
[95:10]that now it's too packed.
[95:12]you you don't enter right now.
[95:13]You just wait.
[95:13]You wait.
[95:14]You go and you try another door.
[95:15]You try another door.
[95:17]10 minutes that police officer is going to get tired.
[95:19]He's going to be like, "Yeah, go." So So you you you
[95:23]wait and you do the on the ground floor.
[95:26]The ground floor meaning the floor where you see the Safa and
[95:30]the Marwa.
[95:32]You're not you're not above them.
[95:33]So um when you you and how do you count between Safa
[95:36]and Marwa?
[95:37]You count when you're you're walking from Safa.
[95:41]When you reach Marwa, that counts as one.
[95:44]Then you walk back that counts as two.
[95:48]Then you go to Marwa, three, come back to Saf 4, go
[95:54]to Marwa, five, come back to Safa, six, go to Marwa, seven.
[95:57]Why do I keep insisting saying this?
[95:59]Because a lot of people they go, they count it a whole
[96:04]trip.
[96:04]They, you know, they end up their their S ends having done
[96:07]14 rounds, 14 times they walked.
[96:09]So no, it's each time you walk that counts as one and
[96:17]that is the in the there's also a place where you're going
[96:20]to see two green lights just like you saw the green light
[96:25]of the you're going to see two green lights in the middle
[96:27]of the mas this for the brothers for the men they have
[96:33]to hurdle you have to start you know as if you're jogging
[96:38]you're not running you're just kind of a little bit faster.
[96:42]Why?
[96:43]Perhaps this was the place where Hajar used to hear the crying
[96:49]of her son is and she would start running because she hears
[96:52]her son crying.
[96:53]So she starts hastening because she would see a mirage of water
[96:56]in front of her.
[96:58]This is one opinion.
[96:58]Another opinion before performing the Hajj he came one time to do
[97:05]Omrah and the people of Quraysh the kufur they were all watching
[97:08]the prophet so they were they reached a place where the the
[97:14]kufur they're all looking at and the Muslims are with himoolah he
[97:17]reached this place where they're by the ka they're looking at himoolah
[97:20]wanted to show them strength so what does he tell the Muslims
[97:26]to do he tells them we're going to hurdle We're going to
[97:29]show them that we're not weak.
[97:29]We're not, you know, dragging our feet.
[97:31]No, we're we're we're we're going to we're going to we're going
[97:36]to be as if we're hurdling.
[97:37]So, it's that place people, you could you could um you're supposed
[97:41]to for the men.
[97:43]For the women, no, you walk normally.
[97:45]I see some women, they run over there, too.
[97:49]But you're not supposed to.
[97:48]So, so the um the men that is what they're supposed to
[97:55]do once we're done.
[97:55]Once we're done, you you you finished at Marwa.
[97:59]When your foot hits Marwa there, you take out your scissors, you
[98:02]take out nail clippers.
[98:04]We're gonna have a few people with us that are going to
[98:06]be carrying small scissors.
[98:09]And you know that person is going to be getting a lot
[98:12]of because everyone's going to ask to use your your scissors.
[98:17]So you take it, you do you take a little bit of
[98:21]your hair, a little bit of the beard, a little bit.
[98:23]Don't shave everything because you're going to have to keep some hair
[98:26]for the Hajj.
[98:29]So, especially for the brothers.
[98:30]So, you cut a little bit.
[98:31]You say I do to enter to exit from the And you
[98:54]the moment you cut you exit.
[98:56]You're supposed to cut your hair before you cut someone else's hair
[99:00]because I can't cut someone else's hair when I'm still in the
[99:02]state ofam.
[99:03]So you you cut a little bit of yours and then if
[99:06]you want to help someone else you're allowed to.
[99:07]Can we go to the next slide just um one very important
[99:11]point during the mas my dear brothers and sisters and this is
[99:13]because the ms has been expanded a lot since the time it
[99:20]was during the time of so the is between saf and marwa
[99:27]but they've expanded the mas the place of between the saf and
[99:34]marwa they've expanded it um vertically where they've built different levels.
[99:38]So we stay in the bottom level because we have to walk
[99:42]between Safa and Marwa and they've also expanded it horizontally.
[99:45]So now you see the the Mah has been expanded to the
[99:50]right side.
[99:52]To the left they can't go because that's where Haram is.
[99:54]They've expanded it more to the right.
[99:56]Here some scholars they say this is still considered because you're walking
[100:02]in that area.
[100:04]But other scholars they say out of precaution, you want to be
[100:08]walking between Saf and Marwa, not between a building on this side
[100:13]and a building on that side.
[100:14]So what do you do when you're going from Saf to Marwa?
[100:17]Stay as left as possible.
[100:20]Stay as left as possible because this is Safa and that's Marwa
[100:26]on top.
[100:25]You stay to the left side.
[100:28]When you're coming back from Marwa to Safa, there's no problem because
[100:31]the whole thing is between Safa and Marwa.
[100:33]But because they've they've imagine a highway where they added more lanes.
[100:39]So the the lanes of the Safa to Marwa are not between
[100:42]Safa and Marwa anymore.
[100:42]They're to the right.
[100:45]So when you're going from Saf to Marwa, stay as much as
[100:47]possible to the left side.
[100:50]And you're going to see the Shia groups.
[100:53]They're all walking on the left side even though that lane is
[100:55]not moving fast, for example.
[100:56]But you have to you have to stay there to make sure
[101:01]that you are um at least don't go to the far right.
[101:05]Stay either in the middle or to the left.
[101:08]So this is regarding the how are we able to pray behind
[101:13]M Ibrahim while everyone's doing.
[101:14]So you go as far as possible if that's where the is
[101:17]you go behind it.
[101:19]As long as you see M Ibraim in front of you and
[101:22]then the Kaa.
[101:22]You could go a little bit further.
[101:23]You don't have to be stuck to it's dangerous to do there
[101:29]because people are doing.
[101:30]So my dear brothers and sisters, these are the of once you
[101:37]do the you go to the hotel, you take a shower, you
[101:39]put on your best cologne, perfume, lotion, whatever you need, you're allowed
[101:44]to you have all the way until the days of the which
[101:49]inshallah we will explain in the next session because that requires its
[101:54]own session and that has also a lot of any questions as
[102:00]format.
[102:01]Yes, sister.
[102:09]So some people they just walk like they don't even they don't
[102:15]follow instructions.
[102:15]They're going to get lost for sure.
[102:17]If you try to stay with the group, you will be with
[102:23]the group.
[102:24]But it's not easy because we enter this happens probably every year.
[102:29]We enter into the taw as one big giant group.
[102:31]Then when it's done, you see five people here, three people here,
[102:37]two people there because pe people come in between us and you
[102:41]can't turn around.
[102:43]You can't do anything.
[102:43]So in what we're supposed to do, what we're supposed to do
[102:51]is try at least have a partner with you.
[102:55]Have two people.
[102:54]Don't be alone.
[102:56]Whatever it is, don't be alone because when you're alone, you might,
[102:59]for example, say, "I'm in the fourth round." Someone says, "No, you
[103:02]you want to have someone with you and try to stay with
[103:07]the group." We're going to try our best to stay with the
[103:08]group.
[103:09]But the problem is when I'm doing, I can't turn around and
[103:14]say, "Where are you guys?
[103:14]I have to be I have to have my shoulder to the
[103:18]Kaa." Or when I'm doing I can't turn around.
[103:20]I could stop a little, but I don't know who's behind me.
[103:22]So, we need to try to stay together.
[103:25]We're going to do several things inshallah.
[103:28]One of the things logistically and we did this in the Omra
[103:31]this year.
[103:32]Um I asked brother Hassan to look for us for um for
[103:39]what are they called?
[103:39]Tour guide sets.
[103:42]Basically tour guide sets where uh there's a microphone and everyone is
[103:46]able to have a earpiece.
[103:47]So we're going to see how much it is and then we're
[103:50]going to buy inshallah we'll divide it however much.
[103:53]Maybe it'll turn out to be like 20 or 30 bucks a
[103:56]person.
[103:55]We all have it and we're going to be using it the
[103:58]whole time.
[103:59]This when I I was in Omrah in December, it helped us
[104:03]a lot because even if you're a little bit behind me, you
[104:05]can't hear me reciting the dua, but you could you're wearing the
[104:07]earset, you hear the dua.
[104:10]So, and then you'll know where we are.
[104:12]We're going to be like, "Okay, we're starting the third round." Then
[104:15]Allah and then you read the dua.
[104:17]So, you we stay together.
[104:17]It helps us during the s we'll use it.
[104:20]So that's one thing we'll we're going to have.
[104:23]Another thing I asked to see um inshallah the ladies they will
[104:27]have a type of scarf that they wear above their hijab maybe
[104:33]like a color or something.
[104:34]We're going to try to get that inshallah before we go and
[104:39]we're going to have or we'll either say like each one wear
[104:41]green or each one wear this color or we maybe we'll get
[104:46]the fabric and we'll distribute it so that you know who's in
[104:48]your group.
[104:49]you know, for example, okay, there's a green scarf.
[104:50]I know I have to stay with this group.
[104:51]I have to stay here.
[104:54]So, that's one thing that we're going to do to stay together,
[104:56]inshallah.
[104:57]And then we're we'll try our best to go slow.
[105:01]We'll try our best to go slow and be together inshallah.
[105:03]At least for the first and first, then after that, you will
[105:08]you will know how to do the you will know how to
[105:10]do this.
[105:12]It shouldn't be a problem.
[105:13]Anyone else?
[105:14]Yes, sister.
[105:22]a little bit.
[105:24]You could go to back to the hotel and clip.
[105:27]You don't need to clip it at Marwa.
[105:28]But a lot of people they want to get out of the
[105:33]so we usually like we step outside a little we we're outside
[105:35]the door of the mas and there we all clip so that
[105:41]we could you're relaxed.
[105:40]You know, you're you you um you're able you're out ofam at
[105:48]that time.
[105:46]Yes.
[105:48]Yes, sister.
[105:48]No.
[105:50]So during the you have to do to be able to get
[105:54]married and but the portion we do it after the Hajj.
[106:01]So that is the difference between the and so no we're not
[106:11]inam anymore.
[106:13]After you do you you're not inam.
[106:15]The first is only about maybe maximum 15 hours depending on the
[106:18]ride how long it took to get there and then the are
[106:22]2 three hours then you're out of you wear normal clothes you
[106:25]anything all the way until the eth of the the eth of
[106:30]then we enter into again to do the so you're out ofam
[106:37]but you're not you are halal during because it's called even if
[106:42]you have not done you're halal on your husband.
[106:47]But the next time you enter into the you won't beal until
[106:52]you do.
[106:51]Yes.
[106:52]So this is why couples could be staying in the room alone.
[106:57]The only time they have to be careful is during the state
[107:00]of Yes.
[107:04]Anyone else?
[107:03]Yes, doctor.
[107:08]No, you don't have to be in.
[107:11]So now since co to to make more space for people because
[107:17]the masjid haram is getting so crowded.
[107:18]One of the l r r r r r r r r
[107:20]r r r r r r r r r r r r
[107:20]r r r r r r r r r r r r
[107:21]r r r r r r r rules that they've put in
[107:22]place they won't allow a man to enter into the ground floor
[107:26]unless they're wearing the women you could enter whenever you want.
[107:31]You could enter you don't no one's going to ask you anything.
[107:35]But if I'm wearing for example normal clothes and I want to
[107:38]enter they'll tell me you go upstairs.
[107:39]You go upstairs.
[107:42]There's there's a huge you could go upstairs and pray and you
[107:44]could look at the Kaa from far but you don't have the
[107:47]view of the ground floor where you are looking at thea.
[107:50]So sometimes what some people do they don't do the nia of
[107:57]theam but they just take theam and they put it on them
[107:59]so that they enter into the ground floor.
[108:01]Yes.
[108:02]But you're not officially in the state ofam.
[108:05]Yes.
[108:06]Anyone else?
[108:11]The regular the regular Omrah can be done any time but is
[108:18]the Omrah that is done before the Hajj it's a pre basically
[108:24]it's the one that is it's attached to the Hajj if Hussein
[108:30]he did and then the 8th of Im Hussein decided to go
[108:36]to Iraq he was waiting the day before Hussein.
[108:41]So what did IM Hussein do?
[108:44]He had done what he did was he changed the tora and
[108:51]he did and then he left.
[108:54]So but because we're doing the Hajj we're going to leave for
[109:04]after the Hajj inshallah.
[109:03]Yes.
[109:05]Yes.
[109:10]I will I will send we'll try to make a form inshallah
[109:14]we're going to we're we're going to try to make a form
[109:19]for everything is we're going to work on that together inshallah and
[109:22]this this PowerPoint I'm going to share it with everyone as well
[109:26]all the information I'm going to share it with everyone we're going
[109:28]to share the nia of everything that you need to do inshallah
[109:34]inshallah and that book that I sent that book by my Uncle
[109:36]S Mustafa um it has all the nas for everything as well.
[109:42]Yes.
[109:42]Yes.
[109:46]Yes.
[109:48]During you're allowed to except when you're when you're because you're Mim
[109:54]you can't wear normal shoes but you could wear sandals.
[109:57]But the the next time you do there because during the Hajj
[110:01]we do three and two the next time you do you're not
[110:08]going to be because you took off the and you did the
[110:13]shaving and and you took off the and but you have you're
[110:15]not you wear normal clothes and you do the and you have
[110:19]the the of the one you wear normal clothes you could wear
[110:22]normal shoes but generally you see people because it's it's a part
[110:25]of the greater masjid area.
[110:29]They're either barefoot or they're wearing like clean slippers, not shoes or
[110:33]something like that.
[110:34]Yes.
[110:35]Anyone else?
[110:37]Okay, we'll unmute on on Zoom.
[110:40]Someone had a question about are we able to ask a follow-up
[110:43]question from last week's class regarding?
[110:48]If you want, unmute yourself and ask or type it up.
[110:54]Okay.
[110:54]Does anyone else?
[110:57]Yes, sister.
[111:05]I believe so.
[111:08]Yes.
[111:14]Um, just a second.
[111:17]So, June 2nd, I have I looked at the Nusuk.
[111:21]I don't I think it shows June 2nd we go to um
[111:26]from Medina to Mecca June 2nd.
[111:28]So then we have all the way until the 8th of the
[111:30]which is on this calendar it shows Thursday but in Saudi Arabia
[111:36]they might be one day before I don't know.
[111:38]So it might be Wednesday night.
[111:39]So that means from the Omra to the Hajj we don't have
[111:41]that much time.
[111:43]So there the the eighth of the the eighth of the at
[111:50]night we wear theam again and once we wear theam again we
[111:55]go to and then we'll talk about all of that inshallah next
[111:59]week no 8th of 8th of which is June 4th it looks
[112:05]like yesah Yes.
[112:32]Okay.
[112:33]Now, several questions that came on uh on Zoom.
[112:38]Can you explain what one should do if they've never paids?
[112:43]So you have to begin paying.
[112:45]You begin by calculating you could pay this year and you have
[112:49]to estimate how much was due on you last year.
[112:52]How much was due on you the year before?
[112:55]How much was due on you the year before that?
[112:58]And you you make a plan to give thes you make a
[113:03]plan to give thes.
[113:03]So this is something that Allah subhana t may do upon me.
[113:08]If I didn't do it, it's still due.
[113:10]It's still due upon me and I have to try to figure
[113:11]out how to give it.
[113:14]Sometimes they what they do in some cases they do meaning someone
[113:19]they have to give $50,000.
[113:21]For example, they don't have $50,000.
[113:23]They take $5,000, they give it to the they give it, he
[113:29]gives it back to them.
[113:29]They give it he gives it back.
[113:33]But then this is just to kind of clear their consciousness but
[113:35]they still have to come and give that later on.
[113:39]They still have to give that at the time or they make
[113:41]a commitment to do it in payments that they will give it
[113:46]to this cause.
[113:48]Um can you uh can you use electronic sa counter during?
[113:50]Yes.
[113:51]When will we start booking for the probably one week before it
[113:55]opens.
[113:56]So now if you look you see for next week.
[113:59]So one week before it opens, we will send a message in
[114:04]the group that it has opened.
[114:05]Do the men do again to help the women or do we
[114:09]do it all together?
[114:09]You will um we will do it all together.
[114:12]Inshallah, we will all go in together.
[114:15]So we will either we go in as one big group or
[114:21]we try to divide ourselves into groups.
[114:24]Maybe some of the men are able to, you know, they already
[114:28]know, they've gone before, they could they could take a group, but
[114:32]we will try to go together, inshallah.
[114:34]And I've seen large groups if they're organized, if they decide on
[114:38]staying together, if they're wearing the same thing, they could stay together.
[114:41]But if you go in and you're people are walking on their
[114:43]own, then you will get lost.
[114:46]But what we're going to do is we're going to explain everyone
[114:49]the whole process of what you need to do.
[114:52]So just in case you lost the group, you know what you
[114:57]need to do and you're accounting on your own.
[114:58]How can we ensure the money we use for Hajj this year
[115:03]is Muhammad despite needing to do a plan to pay past hums?
[115:05]So the money that you paid this year, so for example, if
[115:09]Hajj was this year Hajj was $10,000, if you give on on
[115:16]um $15,000, what's one of 15?
[115:19]You give that what's 1/5if of 15,000 3,000 you gave 3,000 you
[115:28]have you have 12,000 12,000 that is more than the money that
[115:31]you spent on the Hajj that 12,000 is Muhammad's money then you're
[115:34]sure that that money is muhammmed even though you have other money
[115:38]that's due on you that you need to give but at least
[115:40]you know that this money that you're going to Hajj is all
[115:46]Muhammad's money do we need to retrace our steps if we get
[115:48]moved by others during taw it's going to be really difficult to
[115:54]do so.
[115:52]That's why if it was like something not intentional, you don't need
[115:57]to.
[115:58]But if you really stopped the and you turned around and you
[116:01]started, you know, doing things, then yeah, the taw becomes invalid.
[116:04]So, and you would have to retrace yourself if you're able to,
[116:08]but you're not going to be able to because people are just
[116:12]moving.
[116:13]You can't stop the people are moving.
[116:16]Okay.
[116:17]Um, anyone else?
[116:17]Yes.
[116:28]Okay.
[116:29]So, they said you need to do your take your menitis shot
[116:33]at least 10 days, right?
[116:34]At least 10 days before you enter.
[116:36]So, they're going to look at the date.
[116:38]If they check, they're going to look at the date.
[116:41]So, make sure you take your menitis shot earlier.
[116:45]Uh you have three weeks as brother says what else did we
[116:50]have any um housekeeping things?
[116:52]No.
[116:52]Oh, the hadi um when we do the hajj inshallah we will
[116:58]cover this we will cover this next week but I spoke with
[117:01]shehad they found uh shia group that are going to do our
[117:07]slaughtering because every person on the day of they have to make
[117:10]one sl one sacrifice that is going to be he told me
[117:13]is about $250.
[117:18]So everyone take $250, you put it in an envelope, you write
[117:22]this is for the sacrifice.
[117:23]Then the the group whoever is going to be taking care of
[117:29]the sacrificing for us, they're going to come to us in Medina
[117:33]in the hotel.
[117:32]You're going each person is going to have to tell that person,
[117:37]I give you permission to slaughter on my behalf.
[117:39]You give you give him naba wala to slaughter on your behalf.
[117:45]He says, I accept.
[117:45]He takes the money from you and he puts your name on
[117:49]the list.
[117:50]On the day of Eid, right after we do the stoning, the
[117:52]first thing we're going to wait for, we can't cut our hair.
[117:57]We can't get out of until they call us and they tell
[117:59]us they've done your sacrifice for you.
[118:03]So, but we give them money in Medina because they need to
[118:08]go and buy because all the are all the hij are buying
[118:10]sheep.
[118:11]So, they need to go and buy, they need to go and
[118:15]reserve their place and everything so that we um so that he
[118:19]told me the price is $250.
[118:20]You put that in an envelope.
[118:20]You make sure you brought $250 so that you give that um
[118:25]right away.
[118:25]Yes.
[118:26]$250.
[118:27]Yes, sister.
[118:29]No, you just tell him I give you permission to slaughter on
[118:34]my behalf.
[118:34]Yes.
[118:36]So, um, can my wife hold on to me during or is
[118:41]that not halal?
[118:43]No, it is halal.
[118:42]You could hold your wife during the As long as there's no
[118:47]lustful holding, no intimacy, any of that, then there's nothing wrong with
[118:51]that.
[118:51]But a man is able to help his wife, his sister, all
[118:53]of that, there's nothing wrong with that.
[118:55]Will they send any of the to Lebanon or no?
[119:00]Unfortunately, no.
[119:02]Um, this is one of the acts of the Hajj.
[119:04]Some scholars they say depends who you're following.
[119:09]Some scholars um they say for example you're allowed to do it
[119:12]outside but the majority of the scholars they say no it needs
[119:15]to be done there.
[119:15]It's an act of that's it.
[119:18]It's an act of worship.
[119:19]It needs to be done over there in in Mecca and in
[119:24]Mina.
[119:25]Yes.
[119:25]But the kaf for example you you you did something you have
[119:30]kaf that one you could do it outside.
[119:32]So if you're going to have a lot of kafarat, save them
[119:36]and feed the poor people that are that are going to be
[119:39]in need.
[119:41]Yes.
[119:43]Okay.
[119:44]So inshallah um we we will we will um come to an
[119:46]end here.
[119:47]Next week just a second.
[119:48]Next week is going to be our last session where we that's
[119:52]the very important one because that's going to be the session where
[119:55]we explain the of the three days of the the there are
[120:06]some things that we need to we need to discuss inshallah.
[120:11]So make sure this session if you did not follow the sessions
[120:14]make sure you hear this again if you have to and the
[120:18]next session these are the two important ones.
[120:21]Yes sister will you don't need to turn in the Islamic will
[120:26]that's between your you and yourself.
[120:29]Yeah.
[120:29]Then you could call me.
[120:31]I could help you fill it out or we could set up
[120:34]a meeting.
[120:33]I could help you fill it out.
[120:34]But that's something between you and whoever signs it for you.
[120:39]You keep it in a safe safe place.
[120:42]That's between you and your family.
[120:46]Yes.
[120:44]Yes.
[121:01]Okay.
[121:01]You ended it.
[121:04]Hi
