[0:00]Muhammad Allah so if you're attending this class inshallah that means you
[0:21]are going to Hajj or you are planning on going or you're
[0:25]learning about the important obligation that we Muslims have and Hajj is
[0:34]an obligation Allah says in the Quran so Hajj is an obligation
[0:48]for the person who has for the person who's able to go
[0:53]this means that not every person is able to go if you
[0:56]don't have the financial means if you don't have the financial capability
[0:59]or the health or there's a government restriction then that means Hajj
[1:05]does not become legible upon you however the moment Hajj becomes wedge
[1:10]upon you in your life then you have to go you have
[1:14]to try to go and if for example Hajj became wajib upon
[1:19]me five years ago then that means it remained so now I
[1:22]have to do it even if I was I'm unable to go
[1:26]now it's still legible upon me it is still obligatory upon me
[1:30]so this is why it's a very important issue a lot of
[1:33]people they take the Hajj lightly they say you know what I'm
[1:37]not ready or I don't want to go right now I have
[1:41]work and all these things but we have to try to make
[1:43]the time for it and um you have to try to fill
[1:49]fulfill that obligation the Hadith the one who dies and this person
[1:58]was able to go and Hajj was upon them and they chose
[2:00]based on personal choice they made the choice to go on a
[2:05]vacation they made the choice to spend here and there but they
[2:07]did not make the choice to go to Hajj then this person
[2:13]when they're resurrected from rasulullah he says meaning the person they will
[2:19]tell them had just a part of Islam it's something that identifies
[2:22]you as a Muslim so now choose to either be with the
[2:25]Jews or the Christians because they pray they fast they they they
[2:29]give charity in their own way but they don't do the high
[2:32]something that is specific to Muslims and this is why Mecca only
[2:40]the Muslim enters into Mecca and um had something that we have
[2:48]to plan for of course it requires planning and it gets it's
[2:51]not easy you know 1400 years have passed Hajj has not become
[2:54]easier it's still there's still some difficulty in there but it is
[3:00]the Abu Dia it is the sense of obedience to Allah that
[3:03]comes out of the Hajj walking around the Kaaba you know someone
[3:10]might say why do I have to do this because God said
[3:12]so why do I have to do a walk between Safa and
[3:17]marwa because Allah said so so now inshallah we will go with
[3:21]the prerequisites checklist and then we will begin to explain please feel
[3:28]free to interrupt me sometimes I go really fast so feel free
[3:33]to interrupt me raise your hand or say whatever you need to
[3:36]say so that we can um everyone could get out of this
[3:43]having everything they need to know and if the time if we
[3:45]came to a time restriction we could we could continue on another
[3:49]time as well so this is all about you and we want
[3:51]you to all go to Hajj and knowing what you're going to
[3:57]experience especially this year they've made it difficult in the previous years
[4:01]we used to go with the hamla we used to go with
[4:02]you have one two three four scholars in a group of a
[4:08]hundred people or more and people would ask you're with the scholar
[4:11]who's telling you exactly what to do at the moment so now
[4:16]they they've made it difficult inshallah you will have access of course
[4:20]everyone should have um internet with them you'll have WhatsApp feel free
[4:25]to call because there's a lot of things that you could do
[4:27]which end up becomes a cafe for you some people they go
[4:31]to Hajj they come back they have to slaughter 10 sheeps because
[4:34]of so many kaffaras that they have so we will begin with
[4:41]the prerequisites uh checklist can you go to the next slide please
[4:44]so one of these are all things that should be done um
[4:50]some of them in general they should be done regardless if you're
[4:55]going to Hajj or not these are things that a person should
[4:57]have one is to prepare an Islamic will this is something that
[5:02]is mustahab to always have in fact some people they think that
[5:05]having a will is going to mean that I'm dying soon no
[5:10]it just means that you're being prepared for the the moment of
[5:16]meeting Allah what is to be written in the will in the
[5:18]will you write your Testament of Faith say that like when I
[5:24]I believe that there is no God other than Allah I believe
[5:26]in write it down your akrita write it down so that later
[5:31]on future Generations your children they come and they say no my
[5:35]father my mother this is they they died having these beliefs this
[5:39]is good to have but it's not necessary what is necessary is
[5:44]if you have anything that is due upon you so for example
[5:47]if you have Salah May if you have uh prayers to make
[5:54]up if you have Psalm to make up if you have zakat
[5:58]if you have homes if you've borrowed money from someone if you've
[6:01]given money to someone this is all things that you should write
[6:05]down write down everything so that the moment when if I'm not
[6:10]here um people after me they will know so this is good
[6:13]to have in general anytime and it is also good to have
[6:16]if you're going to Hajj um the sister asked a few a
[6:22]few days ago and when you're writing the will you're allowed to
[6:25]one-third of your tarika meaning one-third of your leaving of what you
[6:31]leave behind that you're allowed to do with it whatever you want
[6:35]you could give it to one person in the family you could
[6:39]give it to an organization you could spend it however you want
[6:43]two-thirds of the taraka two-thirds of your assets whatever you leave that
[6:47]you cannot do whatever you want with that is divided amongst the
[6:50]inheritors if you have parents if you have children you have siblings
[6:58]based on the rules of Islamic inheritance there's a rule there's rules
[7:02]there's um you have your parents and your children in the first
[7:05]Circle and then expands and expands but one third you could do
[7:11]whatever you want so some people they write for example I want
[7:14]one third of my assets to be given towards charity to be
[7:19]given towards building a mosque to be given towards orphans to be
[7:22]given towards such and such good or to be given to a
[7:26]specific person you could do that so this is regarding Islamic will
[7:28]any questions on that yes brother experience do you have to pay
[7:37]that on the touch yes let me I'll get to that next
[7:39]inshallah the second point is um when you go to Hajj you
[7:46]need to know who you're following who's your merger because there's a
[7:50]lot of things small things but different Maharaja have different view for
[7:56]example when you're traveling while you're wearing a Haram for the man
[8:01]if you are covered meaning you're in a bus or you're in
[8:04]a car and you're wearing the Haram this is only for the
[8:09]man for some Scholars um you could travel at night other Scholars
[8:13]they say no you can't even travel at night when it comes
[8:17]to when it comes to the russol the Russell of the ram
[8:20]some Scholars they say it takes the place of wulu other Scholars
[8:24]say it doesn't take the place of so you need to know
[8:28]you need to know the differences based on uh the merger that
[8:31]you're following and you need to know who your merger is if
[8:35]you don't know who to follow or you haven't followed anyone reach
[8:37]out to me we could we could talk about that so this
[8:41]is second yes so they they allow you to travel at night
[8:49]you can't travel during the day in Iran so we will get
[8:53]to that so right now for example you were in Madina and
[8:58]you want to in Masjid or you want to go to Mecca
[8:59]you have to wait until Maghrib time to get in the bus
[9:06]to travel um other Scholars they say no yeah regardless you can't
[9:10]you can't be covered is not accepted they allow that but if
[9:16]it begins to Reign while you're traveling then you have to give
[9:21]a kafara yes we will explain that inshallah when we get to
[9:26]that in detail um okay now you the brother asked about the
[9:29]Huns and the zakat so this is also an obligation that you
[9:33]have to have similarly with taklid you need to follow a merger
[9:38]but with it with hadrit becomes more highlighted it becomes more important
[9:42]when it comes to when it comes to Hajj or regardless of
[9:46]had you need to give your homes and your zakat this is
[9:50]an obligation however if you're going to Hajj the money that you're
[9:54]spending on Hajj because this is an act of ibadah this is
[9:58]worship so can I worship god with money that part of it
[10:00]does not belong to me no I need to make sure that
[10:04]all of the money that I'm putting towards the Hajj is money
[10:09]that is pure money that is Muhammad's if someone says you know
[10:12]what this is too difficult Scholars say at least the ram that
[10:14]you're wearing at least the clothes that you're wearing the Haram because
[10:18]you're going to be because traveling is that you're wearing that is
[10:24]about at least the ram that you're wearing that should be uh
[10:27]money that you have given from son some people they say don't
[10:30]even talk to me about homes this is too much for me
[10:33]at least but regardless homes should be given in general every year
[10:38]um at least the money that you're going to Hajj with and
[10:41]if if that is something that you cannot do then at least
[10:46]that you're wearing any questions oh yes yes so before you pay
[10:58]the package to go to Hajj at least give the humps of
[11:03]that so for example um you you need to spend fifteen thousand
[11:06]to go to Hajj so you need to give homes on like
[11:10]20 000 for example which will end you up closer to the
[11:12]money that you need the the four-fifths that is that is left
[11:17]that money is the money that is fully pure and you go
[11:21]to but having said that you a person needs to give homes
[11:24]regardless you know just like as well any questions okay another very
[11:32]important point is to seek forgiveness from other people because Allah will
[11:38]be forgiven you inshallah but if I have hurt someone else if
[11:41]I have done something wrong to other people then I need to
[11:45]go and you know fix my matters with other people and it's
[11:48]also good to forgive other people as well if I expect God
[11:52]to forgive me and I expect people to forgive me then I
[11:55]should also be willing to forgive other people okay now the conditions
[11:59]were Hajj can you go to the next page please conditions is
[12:04]this uh can you guys read this is it clear okay the
[12:07]conditions for Hajj when does Hajj become wajib one a person has
[12:13]to be balur this is one so you have to have gone
[12:18]through puberty um for boys for girls um the age of puberty
[12:22]is different some some Scholars for girls they say nine hijri some
[12:26]they say 13 and for men as as well as soon as
[12:32]the signs of puberty show second is a person has to be
[12:39]saying so you need to understand you need to comprehend what is
[12:42]expected of you third you need to be physically capable say someone
[12:46]is paralyzed I just not want you upon them because they they
[12:51]are unable to go and perform the Hajj and the Hajj has
[12:53]some conditions it has some requirements you need to walk between Safa
[12:57]and marijuana you need to you there's a hiking there's walking there's
[13:01]a lot of physical acts that that are required so you need
[13:07]to have all of that travel must be opened so during covid
[13:10]Hydra was closed say you you got the money but you were
[13:15]unable to go then that means it was not it did not
[13:18]become logical upon you because one of the conditions was not met
[13:21]financially capable you need to be financially capable in order to um
[13:27]afford to go to Hajj so what does financially capable mean I
[13:32]have children I have a family I have a loan I have
[13:36]all of these expenses when am I financially capable you're financially capable
[13:40]when you have the money the cash whatever Hajj cost the first
[13:46]time I went to Hajj was less than three thousand dollars if
[13:50]I had that if I had became logical upon me now how
[13:54]just how much is it now the least package thirteen fourteen thousand
[13:59]dollars if you have that but that means you have also spent
[14:03]on your family you've spent on your kids you've done the basic
[14:06]necessities so you're not supposed to deprive your family of food so
[14:11]that you could go to Hajj no you've you've fulfilled all of
[14:15]your basic necessities then you go to Hajj now some people they
[14:17]come and they say okay I have a mortgage payment for example
[14:23]and um I do have the money but I have a loan
[14:25]as well I have a I have a loan as well so
[14:29]different Scholars they they interpret when you're capable different scenarios as when
[14:36]when you are capable but there's a hila Sharia that a person
[14:39]could do this is a Halal loophole to make sure that you
[14:43]fulfill the hajjatul Islam because for some people if I'm in debt
[14:47]even though I have a stable income coming in but I'm in
[14:52]debt 200 000 on my house they'll tell you you're not capable
[14:54]because you have a curve so what you do is you have
[15:00]your friend or someone come and give you money not you don't
[15:04]necessarily have to go with that money you could give it back
[15:06]right away they come and they give you for example ten thousand
[15:10]dollars they tell you I'm giving you this to go to hajworth
[15:12]you accept it Hajj became legible upon you because that money was
[15:17]given to you four had specifically you accept that as you became
[15:19]wage upon you then you give it back to them just to
[15:23]get out of the the issue with mortgage and because most of
[15:29]us you might have a 200 300 000 loan on your house
[15:31]but you are capable because you have a stable income coming in
[15:37]you are capable of going to Hajj but just to meet the
[15:40]requirements of Islam a person has to make once in their life
[15:46]you need to be capable you need to meet the conditions in
[15:52]order for that to apply to you if you do not meet
[15:56]any of these conditions then Islam will not have been met there
[15:59]are some people they went to Hajj but they did not have
[16:03]money maybe they borrowed money to go to Hajj just to go
[16:06]to Mecca and Medina but later on they became financially capable when
[16:11]they became financially capable so you get the point you have to
[16:17]make sure that hajj's obligatory upon you any questions regarding this yes
[16:22]Mandy unless your father or your mother or someone gives you money
[16:30]they tell you I'm giving you this money so you go to
[16:32]Hajj I'm I'm making you I'm giving you ownership of this money
[16:37]this is ex specifically for Hajj then you take it and Hajj
[16:40]becomes legible upon you but if you don't have the money to
[16:45]go to Hajj on your own and you borrowed from the bank
[16:47]to go to Hajj that doesn't count no no unless someone gives
[16:54]you the money tells you to go you're not required to take
[17:05]your kids to Hajj yes yes no that you have to offer
[17:15]they have to accept as well so you can't just say okay
[17:19]go to Hajj but maybe they have another they have to accept
[17:22]so well sister you had is this an issue that you want
[17:26]to discuss more or because because are they they're not financially capable
[17:38]right now I don't have ten thousand dollars I come and I
[17:45]borrow some money from someone I'm borrowing it so you can't borrow
[17:48]to go to Hajj you need to be financially capable to go
[17:52]to Hajj you have to have Allah doesn't want you to to
[17:59]burden yourself Allah says upon you when you have the money you
[18:02]don't need to go out of the way to make yourself financially
[18:04]capable but yes some of us maybe right now I don't have
[18:09]ten thousand dollars but I've traveled the whole world I've seen this
[18:12]place this place this place so that means I am capable meaning
[18:17]I am capable I am able to become capable of going to
[18:20]Hajj right now I don't have money so I come and I
[18:24]tell my friend give me ten thousand dollars it tells you okay
[18:26]I'll give you I take it upon me I give it back
[18:31]to him this is just so just so you're you have that
[18:35]money to be able to go to Hajj okay so you you
[18:55]do it with your wife and your wife does she tells you
[18:59]I give you I give you ten thousand or fifteen thousand dollars
[19:01]so that you go to Hajj you say I accept and you
[19:06]do the same that's that's it okay that's it it's fine you
[19:13]you know this is you don't you don't need to do that
[19:23]this is just some people when it comes to this issue it's
[19:25]a little bit they just want to play it with the book
[19:28]to make sure that I'm I'm doing exactly what I'm supposed to
[19:31]do so this is the the loophole with it yes no you
[19:36]could just say I give you I I and you say I
[19:42]accept yes okay yes go ahead then how did you become logical
[19:54]upon you yes it's still logic it's still logic so you might
[19:58]have been logic it might have been logic upon you before you
[20:01]got all your loans and you did all of these things they
[20:03]remember there was a time Hajj was three thousand dollars it was
[20:10]two thousand dollars so it became logical upon many people yes okay
[20:14]so now the next slide who is yes sister that's why we
[20:22]do that loophole yes so the yes it's you could still go
[20:36]to Hajj but if you do that that thing where your husband
[20:39]tells you I'm giving you this so that you go to Hajj
[20:42]then now you have the ownership of it then you you'll be
[20:44]able to go yes yes yes so how'd you still Lodge upon
[21:05]you still watch him upon you could use that because it became
[21:08]legible upon you say 20 years ago it became upon you that's
[21:10]it it was Roger yes so most of us had did become
[21:17]logic upon us if you're living in America a comfortable life and
[21:19]you're you have a house and you travel and you have a
[21:24]car and all these things Hajj did become you at some point
[21:26]in your life okay who is going to Medina first and who's
[21:30]going to Mecca first you guys are doing Medina first you guys
[21:33]you're not sure yet okay so typically when I've been to Hajj
[21:39]all the times I went to Medina first but some people they
[21:41]land in Jeddah and they do they do Mecca first and then
[21:45]they go to Medina but the pro the way the prophets performed
[21:48]the Hajj was through Masjid which is the mikat of the people
[21:53]of Madina so I'm going to give you the scenario of we
[21:55]go we land in Medina first and then we go to Mecca
[22:00]but if anyone has to do Mecca first there's mikat where what
[22:03]is a place to enter into the state of Iran so the
[22:10]people of Medina the mikat is Masjid but for example if you're
[22:13]coming from Iraq you're coming from Yemen you're coming from Syria each
[22:17]each group of people they had a different mikat so if you
[22:21]land in if you land in Jeddah and you have to go
[22:25]to Mecca right away you can't go to Medina first so you
[22:31]would have to take a taxi go to Jaffa enter into the
[22:36]state of and then from there enter into Mecca but now we'll
[22:39]talk about Medina first um of course this is not a part
[22:45]of the Hajj yet just Madina going to Medina is not a
[22:48]part of the Hajj Hajj is these are the the acts of
[22:53]the Hajj but the Hadith he says the person who performs the
[23:03]Hajj and this person does not make the effort to come and
[23:06]visit me then this person has neglected me so this is why
[23:11]we go and we visit rasulullah we go and we visit the
[23:13]imams of the Imam al-hasan Imam al-bakar imams in the Bakr the
[23:22]grave of Fatima to Zara is somewhere in that vicinity and one
[23:26]of the attractions the mo the first attraction you will see when
[23:31]you get foreign was at the time at the time of the
[23:49]Prophet it was adjacent to the Masjid now the house is inside
[23:56]the Masjid so it's a part of the Masjid and between the
[23:59]Hadith of rasulullah he says between my grave and my member is
[24:10]a garden in Paradise it's a place of paradise it's called naroda
[24:14]This is why all of the hajjad if you if you go
[24:18]to Medina you should make an effort to go and pray at
[24:21]least two rakas the original Masjid of the Prophet that's because the
[24:26]Prophet The Prophet's mosque has gone through many expansions so it's very
[24:30]big now but the original Masjid that is where you will see
[24:35]the you will see the house of the prophets of course it
[24:38]doesn't look like a house it's just green it's all it's all
[24:42]green they've put bookshelves as well they don't allow you to go
[24:45]um get close to the house and like you know say salaam
[24:50]they'll consider that shook but you'll see the house and the Kabbalah
[24:53]is right in front of you and the member and the mahab
[24:57]of the Prophet is also there so try to get in that
[24:59]place now how do you get into that place you have to
[25:04]download an app called you download it and you make an appointment
[25:11]to enter so I don't know the rules keep changing but ever
[25:17]since covid I was there a couple of months ago you make
[25:20]an appointment and you you select the time for example there's 10
[25:24]10 30 11 11 30.
[25:26]all these times there's times for men and times for a woman
[25:29]you select the time then you get a barcode and you get
[25:33]a it shows you like your appointment time you you go and
[25:35]you stand in line and then you'll be able to go and
[25:38]enter into the roller and one way it's become a lot easier
[25:41]because before there was no appointment you're always going you see people
[25:45]standing there there's no room for you to pray you could you
[25:47]could you either make it or don't now you get an appointment
[25:51]you could go yes how long do you staying 15 minutes they
[25:55]let you to pray even ladies there's times specific for ladies as
[26:00]well yes so um I I have the app for umra I
[26:10]haven't done it during the Hajj but the nusok app you just
[26:12]download it yes you make a appointment for entering into the Rhoda
[26:15]The Prophet's mosque as soon as you go in you could make
[26:22]another appointment so make make your plan that when you enter Medina
[26:24]that night make your appointment ahead of time because there's going to
[26:28]be a lot of people making an appointment and then as soon
[26:29]as you finish see if you can get another appointment right away
[26:33]right away to enter again it's going to be difficult it's going
[26:37]to be difficult but you give it a try and at least
[26:41]you could go and try to pray there so this is one
[26:45]the Salah in the prophet's mosque is equivalent ten thousand prayers does
[26:49]this mean that if I haven't prayed I could make up all
[26:53]all in one prayer no no this is just the tawab the
[26:57]tawab and in Masjid al-haram it's equivalent to 100 000 prayers so
[27:01]you go and you pray pray and try to do all your
[27:10]prayers in Masjid um you you read the Quran this is time
[27:13]of ibada try to spend a lot of time there okay next
[27:19]slide please now you have the prophet's mosque adjacent to the prophet's
[27:26]mosque is cemetery and this is the oldest cemetery in Islam it
[27:30]is the burial site of the imams of the Albert Abbas the
[27:35]uncle of the Prophet Fatima Assad Ibrahim the son of the Prophet
[27:38]the aunt of the Prophet um the wives of the prophets and
[27:45]six to seven thousand companions they're all buried there unfortunately only men
[27:52]could enter into the book yeah there's there's places on the side
[27:57]where you could see the through the fence you could see and
[28:00]it's all about the knee you could stand outside and perform the
[28:02]ziara read the ziara of the imams of the even for the
[28:07]men they might not let you read the ziara so usually what
[28:11]we do is we read the ziara outside between between the the
[28:15]Masjid and the bakkie outside before we enter we read the ziara
[28:19]and then we just enter and do salawat and say a quick
[28:23]salaam to the imams of the bait so this is the cemetery
[28:26]of course the cemetery a hundred years ago there were mausoleums it
[28:30]was a place to be visited now it's all with the ground
[28:34]and you'll it's a very sad image to see for the brothers
[28:37]it is open immediately after Fajr prayer and after Asura prayer other
[28:44]times it's closed so as soon as you finish your federal prayer
[28:47]make your way to the bakiya make your way to the bucket
[28:53]what we usually do is in Medina and in Makkah one hour
[28:57]before one hour before Fajr you hear Adan you're going to hear
[29:00]it then this is called the Adan to call people for tahajjud
[29:03]to call people for Salat because the last one third of the
[29:09]night is the time for Salat so you see hundreds of people
[29:12]thousands of people they're all walking to the Masjid that last hour
[29:15]before Fajr the Masjid gets packed people are praying reading Quran try
[29:19]to go at that time or before that time and then you
[29:24]do your Salat you do your Fajr prayer do the ziara while
[29:29]you're waiting you're going to be facing the prophet is going to
[29:31]be right in front of you you'll see where the Prophet is
[29:34]the The House of the Prophet you could do the ziara do
[29:40]this after uh Fajr prayer you leave you leave and you go
[29:43]to the you leave to the then you could do the ziara
[29:46]and then you go and you have the very good breakfast yes
[29:51]at the hotel okay additional sites to visit in Medina you have
[29:59]jabal uhud is where the the um Battle of took place Hamza
[30:07]is buried there along with 70 of the shahada so if you're
[30:09]not with a group usually when we go as a group the
[30:13]group they go and they get us in a bus and we
[30:16]go and we visit all of these attractions all one one after
[30:21]the other if you're not with a group you take a taxi
[30:23]you go and you visit these places this is the first Masjid
[30:31]in Islam because the prophet when he migrated from Mecca to Madina
[30:34]he stood he stopped in Koba waiting for Imam Ali to come
[30:36]with the favatam so he stayed in Koba and rasulullah says in
[30:43]a Hadith whoever does in his home and comes to Koba and
[30:46]performs to a prayer this person receives the tawab of umrah you
[30:53]receive the tawab of um prayers so if you have some free
[30:56]time you're you're not tired get in a taxi do a little
[31:00]get in a taxi go to Masjid it's a 10 minute taxi
[31:04]ride you go there and pray to our prayers and then you
[31:07]leave um if you if you're with a group then the group
[31:10]will take you if you're not with a group you get in
[31:13]a taxi visit these places the place where the Qibla changed the
[31:19]Muslims were praying towards Goods aksa switched the prophet turn the prophet
[31:27]all the way to in the middle of prayer he turned him
[31:31]all the way to the um Mecca and I remember when uh
[31:37]the first couple times I went to Hajj the Masjid in it
[31:43]there was one facing facing Mecca but then they got rid of
[31:47]the one facing makdas because probably confused some people so now there's
[31:53]only one but this is Masjid and then there is the place
[31:59]this is the place of the battle of the khandak the battle
[32:05]of the trench where there were there this was a place of
[32:08]worship for there's Masjid Salman there's other sahaba as well so these
[32:15]they don't allow you to go and pray in them they've unfortunately
[32:19]there's a small place it's called Masjid Fatima Zara it's like a
[32:22]small room a small place Masjid Salman um they don't allow people
[32:27]to go and pray in them they've they've built they've locked them
[32:30]up and they built one big Masjid called Masjid we don't usually
[32:33]pray in Masjid because that's not where the Prophet prayed we want
[32:38]to pray where Fatima Zara prayed where Imam Ali prayed where rasulullah
[32:42]prayed but it's good to go and see it we usually when
[32:44]we go to amrah or Hajj we in that same trip that
[32:48]we do the tours in Medina we go and we visit these
[32:54]places so this is a place to visit any questions okay next
[32:58]slide please now you have to get ready for Amrita so Hajj
[33:04]now you're getting ready for to actually perform the Hajj and had
[33:09]just two parts there is and then there's because any time you
[33:17]enter Makkah you have to enter Makkah in the state of you
[33:20]cannot wear you cannot enter Mecca without the state of Iran you
[33:25]can't just go with normal close to Mecca Mecca is such a
[33:28]sacred City Masjid al-haram and it is it is the city that
[33:33]is Haram what does that mean that means so many things are
[33:35]Haram to do in the city it has its sanctity so you
[33:39]enter into Mecca you have to be in the states of so
[33:44]this is to get you ready to perform the Hajj you have
[33:46]to enter into Mecca to do the umrah it's called if it's
[33:52]any other time not related to Hajj it's called meaning singular is
[33:58]the um that is going to connect you with the Hajj you're
[34:02]going to have to do the Hajj after so this is called
[34:05]so anytime from you enter into uh you enter into Medina into
[34:13]Mecca this is called of course if you ended up having to
[34:20]leave you can't continue the Hajj then you you turn it you
[34:22]you do the intention of making it into uh the same way
[34:29]Imam has ended he went to Makkah his intention was to perform
[34:33]Hajj but he switched the knee and he left the karbala so
[34:39]um this is entering into Mecca you have to be in the
[34:45]state of Iran how do you enter into the state of so
[34:49]we we said the mikat of the people of Medina is Masjid
[34:54]shajara this is also a place where rasulullah supposed to have to
[34:58]pray in all these places and even the masajid that we mentioned
[35:02]before it's a mustafab to go and pray a prayer Masjid any
[35:05]time you enter in any Masjid and then you could also do
[35:11]mustah prayers so this is the first part of the hajjas Hajj
[35:14]the shovel right yes no so what you need to do the
[35:27]shot there's gonna be no shuttle for you there's a part of
[35:30]the package there's a bus okay so you have to figure out
[35:36]there's a train as well the train is a lot faster um
[35:39]okay it's a four the bus ride is four hours if it's
[35:43]just you and your wife and small group of people I would
[35:47]suggest now you take the train the train will get you there
[35:50]in an hour and it's a lot faster but if it's um
[35:53]you're with a big group then yeah you have to be you
[35:57]have to be in the in the bus but anyways if the
[36:00]bus is going to leave from Medina because a lot of a
[36:03]lot of times you're going to see people if they're not Shia
[36:05]they might they might be very relaxed with their rules so they
[36:08]might do their Ramen Masjid and nebi and then or or you
[36:12]have to ask them are they going to measure the shajara or
[36:17]are they not you have to go to Masjid or if there
[36:18]if the bus is going to leave from the in front of
[36:21]the hotel then they're going to tell you we're leaving at for
[36:25]example this time you need to go to messages first is close
[36:28]it's about 20 minutes 20 minutes and you'll get there it's in
[36:33]Medina outside the like heading towards towards Mecca but it's um close
[36:40]to Medina yes you're not supposed to look at yeah yeah all
[36:49]of these rules I will explain them so so what you need
[36:56]to do ask them find out what time they're leaving they might
[36:59]be leaving in the morning that's a kaffara on you because you're
[37:01]gonna you're gonna have to go to the roots of Lil so
[37:05]you need to make sure you need to time the time that
[37:08]you go to Masjid it's close to Maghrib so what you do
[37:13]the first thing you do when you arrive to Madina for the
[37:16]Sisters get your RAM ready the Haram of the sisters is not
[37:20]like the Haram of the men you could wear normal clothes it
[37:21]just has to be Taha and there's no Xena in it no
[37:25]decoration so it's better to wear just simple clothes you could buy
[37:28]them over there or you could probably buy them here right yes
[37:32]so but for the brothers you go there next to your hotel
[37:35]there's going to be shops they sell they sell Haram you go
[37:42]you buy the Heron what is the Haram the Haram is uh
[37:46]it's like a big towel but it has to have no mahil
[37:47]in it meaning sometimes there's a sign a stitch to it you
[37:51]have to rip it out you have to remove it that paper
[37:56]the logo of it so you you have that the Haram is
[37:58]one top part and one bottom part and you buy the himyan
[38:03]the himian is a belt you buy it which will hold it
[38:04]for you because you can't tie it if you tie it that's
[38:07]kind of like mahit as well so um you you you wrap
[38:13]it around you and then you put the you put the belt
[38:16]on and then you put it tight and then you cover it
[38:17]that that hemian it's also like a wallet as well you could
[38:21]put some of your money some things in there the hemian could
[38:24]be stitched the sandals that you wear they could be stitched but
[38:26]other than that nothing could be stitched so you get the Haram
[38:32]ready now you ask find out when the bus is going to
[38:35]if they're going in the during the day that's a cafe on
[38:39]you if you're willing to give the go ahead one sheep one
[38:43]sheep yes yeah it depends where you do it in some countries
[38:47]it's like some countries it's more yeah yes the train does not
[38:58]go too but what you do what you do is what you
[39:05]do is you have to make sure your travel of course for
[39:11]the Sisters they could travel during the day but but for the
[39:15]man you cannot travel during the day you have to give kafara
[39:17]so what you do is you plan to go to Masjid do
[39:26]what you need to do at the hotel and you don't look
[39:31]at the you don't look at the mirror all of the uh
[39:34]all of the things that become Haram we'll mention them you have
[39:37]to start practicing them now then you go to Masjid shajara pray
[39:40]to our prayers wait for Maghrib time as soon as Maghrib time
[39:47]comes then you do the Nia of entering into now figure out
[39:51]where if the bus is going to be waiting for you in
[39:54]then you just got on the bus and you go to Mecca
[39:57]if the bus is not there you either find out where the
[40:00]bus is or if it's at night time you could get under
[40:03]if you're a follower of State how many or follower of said
[40:07]sistani the majority of the scholars um you could get in a
[40:11]car or in a bus when it's covered uh at night but
[40:15]not during the day while you're in the states of Iran so
[40:19]you you um figure out where they are or some people if
[40:22]it's just two people they say they tell them they tell the
[40:26]taxi driver take me to the train station take me to the
[40:27]train station you go to the train station and you have you
[40:31]have to have booked your ticket ahead of time it's about eighty
[40:34]dollars a person okay okay so what you do is if if
[40:45]there's no train you get a car just a normal car we
[40:47]used to when we used to go with groups we used to
[40:49]have a bus so the bus leaves Medina the hotel we all
[40:52]get in the car we go to message he's waiting for us
[40:54]then we finish then we go to all together so if you're
[40:58]able to get in the train it's a lot faster but if
[41:02]you're with a big group then you have to see what you
[41:03]could do yes sister yes it's going to be more yeah you'll
[41:16]now you could you could figure out there's a lot of options
[41:23]over there yes so now yes so the place of the Nia
[41:33]and Academia where you actually enter into the state of Haram is
[41:36]so you could stay in your normal clothes they have stalls to
[41:41]take a shower you do the shower there and then you leave
[41:44]but when we have a group of 100 150 people we can't
[41:49]wait for people to do everyone go do a shower some people
[41:51]they want to take a 45 minute shower so so what we
[41:55]do is we we tell everyone in the group there's a Dua
[42:11]there we just tell them to say the Nia to actually enter
[42:16]into the states yes but if you if you did the Russell
[42:20]before you went to Masjid make sure now even though you're not
[42:26]officially in the state of Iran don't look at the mirror don't
[42:29]do anything that was against because the tawab of the the tawab
[42:34]of the Russell will go away that's it yes so now you
[42:47]wash the head everyone should know how to do Russell everyone should
[42:52]know how to do although everyone should know how to pray out
[42:54]the Torah prayers because this is all a part of the Hajj
[42:56]if you if you don't know how to do the Russell correctly
[42:59]then the then the Haram is going to be problematic yes yes
[43:04]yes yes no no you don't have to just go pray pray
[43:14]your prayers and do the Nia to enter into the state of
[43:18]Islam I will explain so the Russell you wash the the head
[43:21]and the neck and the right side of the body and the
[43:24]left side of the body the intention Islam [Music] so what you
[43:45]need to you need to know what you're doing I'm entering into
[43:50]the state of foreign because this is the the upon me I'm
[44:01]doing this for Allah now you do the rasul and you wear
[44:08]the Haram there's a Dua book um it has the Dua while
[44:12]you're wearing the Haram you're doing the rasul um we'll try to
[44:15]share that with you and then um you go to Masjid if
[44:25]you're going if you're okay with giving the kefada then you could
[44:29]go anytime in the morning you could go to maybe your group
[44:32]they'll tell you we're meeting up we're going to message noon you
[44:35]don't want to separate from the group you could say okay I'm
[44:38]going to just do the cavara worst case is you have to
[44:42]just do a cafara on sheep yes so but this is the
[44:44]first one maybe others add up later on yes apartment so [Music]
[44:53]so here what you do is um you the Nia and measure
[44:59]the shajara Islam enter into the states so at this time the
[45:16]brothers and the sisters you're already wearing the clothes of because after
[45:20]Russell you don't wear normal clothes you're wearing the clothes of Iran
[45:23]but you're not officially in Haram so what you do is you
[45:25]you take your Haram act as if you're wearing it from Top
[45:35]immediately what do you say what does this mean this means Ya
[45:52]Allah you invited me now I have come I am your guest
[45:55]now and you um you you say Le bake a lot you
[46:01]have to say the talbia right away if you don't say the
[46:03]talbia then you're not in the state of the talbia is what
[46:08]enters you into the state of Iran that's kind of the the
[46:11]ignition that starts everything so you you say the talbia right away
[46:15]and you could say it as many times as possible you're going
[46:17]to hear people in Masjid everyone they're all saying it so um
[46:24]now you are in the states of and now you have 25
[46:31]things they became Haram upon you I will go through the list
[46:34]25 things that became Haram upon you so can you skip two
[46:40]slides go two slides and then we'll come back uh go back
[46:43]one slide first this is the talbia what does this mean it
[46:59]means here I am o Allah here I am here I am
[47:04]no partner do you have here I am verily all plays all
[47:06]all praise favorite Authority belong to you no partner do you have
[47:12]of course when he was going he was with a companion Imam
[47:19]keeps saying the bacon he starts to cry and then he tells
[47:25]him you have to say it he says how can I say
[47:30]it where I'm going I'm invited to visit Allah okay now go
[47:35]back to the previous slide as soon as you enter into these
[47:39]states of you have these 25 things they become Haram upon you
[47:46]one is hunting aside second intercourse kissing a spouse touching a spouse
[47:57]with lust looking at spouts with lust masturbation marriage use of marriage
[48:01]meaning conducted doing doing for someone else or you getting married use
[48:06]of scented items and perfumes so this is a big test for
[48:11]many people your the the shampoo that you use you have to
[48:16]make sure you get shampoo that does not have a scent no
[48:20]fragrance no fragrance no putting any lotion none of that uh wearing
[48:27]sewn clothes so for men you can't wear sewn clothes that's it
[48:31]you're in a state of ibadah and this resembles the cafe this
[48:35]resembles the kafan no eyeliner for um man or woman no looking
[48:43]in the mirror a lot of people they're not looking in the
[48:45]mirror but they're looking at their phone how does the sahram look
[48:48]on me they're they're doing this they're taking selfies so this acts
[48:53]as a this acts as a mirror so what if you want
[48:56]to take pictures tell someone to take pictures of you or take
[48:59]pictures this way use the good camera not the bad one so
[49:02]um take pictures but don't look at you can't look at them
[49:06]as a mirror uh this is something that you have to be
[49:10]very careful of that's this mirror thing this is a big test
[49:13]for everyone because as soon as you do the in the hotel
[49:16]you go out and you're in the elevator suddenly you're looking at
[49:19]yourself and you're like how do I look and you start doing
[49:21]all these things you have to try to avoid looking at the
[49:25]mirror now if you did on accident it's okay but you shouldn't
[49:28]like go and try to beautify yourself you can't do that um
[49:34]that's a big test for the Sisters yes and for the men
[49:37]as well because you're wearing Haram for the but for the first
[49:41]time you're wearing um it's it's nice you know you want to
[49:43]see how you look in the Haram so you're gonna have to
[49:47]have someone help you out and and all of that um no
[49:51]wearing socks or closed shoes for the men you can't wear sisters
[49:56]you could wear all of that but the the brothers you have
[49:59]to wear shoes that the top of the foot is revealed so
[50:04]these type of um these sandals um what are they called the
[50:09]Crocs or the flip-flops so one thing about sandals you might lose
[50:16]your sandals actually not you might you will lose your sandals so
[50:19]some item last this last time we went to Hajj someone who
[50:23]went he bought a hundred dollar sandals as soon as we entered
[50:26]the Haram it got lost so you buy sandals that are comfortable
[50:32]but for men they need to reveal the top of your the
[50:37]top of your of your leg maybe you could buy uh the
[50:41]Crocs and cut something in the middle just so that you have
[50:43]the top of your the top of your foot it is showing
[50:48]okay um no some of them have a different Cafe so I
[50:56]don't this this is very detailed so if you had an issue
[51:00]like you would have to look up what is the cafe or
[51:02]you could ask me um we could look it up for you
[51:07]some of them the cafe is some of them the kafara is
[51:08]if you do it multiple times like plucking hair for example it
[51:13]depends how many did you pluck um making yourself bleed these are
[51:18]all different kaffaro for for all of them but the typically the
[51:23]kavada is a a um a sheep to be slaughtered so the
[51:28]removal of a tooth so Dr Aziza be careful no yes um
[51:34]carrying a weapon carrying a weapon whose problem is it who likes
[51:41]to carry weapons all the time yeah okay removal of a weapon
[51:48]uh carrying a weapon uh killing insects when you're in Haram can
[51:51]you see an ant and you just start killing it no you
[51:56]can't unless unless you're it's trying to attack you or something but
[51:59]you should not you should not hurt anything that's it you're in
[52:01]this you're you're in the states adornment Xena make up all that
[52:08]stuff you can't do applying lotion oils shaving or removing any hair
[52:12]from the body this is why before you go before you enter
[52:17]into the states of clean yourself so that hairs won't be falling
[52:21]out you know it's it's you have to clean all of the
[52:26]body hair so that you don't have any problem with that shaving
[52:28]or removing any hair from the body covering of head or immersing
[52:35]body in the water for men so men you can't do you
[52:36]can't cover your head can I put a cap on can I
[52:39]put my arm on my head it's going to be really hot
[52:43]especially when you do the when you're in Minna going to when
[52:46]and from muzdala for going to Minah the sun is scorching on
[52:50]your head you can't cover your head that's it you have to
[52:52]walk in the you have to walk in the Sun the sisters
[52:56]of course you're wearing hijab so um but the sisters cannot cover
[52:59]the face covering of the face for the Sisters is not allowed
[53:05]you cannot cover your face traveling under any shade for men so
[53:09]right now during travel they say Scholars say in Mecca when you
[53:20]enter you're walking in the streets of Mecca and there's a high-rise
[53:26]building and it's giving you shade then that's okay because that's the
[53:29]wall of the of the city but you are just walking that's
[53:32]it yeah you're you can't go and be in a shaded place
[53:37]or you can't be in a car that is that is covered
[53:39]during the day tunnel is okay that's you're allowed to walk under
[53:45]the tunnel if there's a building that's giving you shade but you
[53:47]can't be traveling and like in a car for example that is
[53:53]that is covered yes no no no mandate yeah you could to
[54:13]stop it if it's medicinal you're allowed to if it's for for
[54:19]the sake of medicine but if it's just for the sake of
[54:23]adornment or any of that then you should try to avoid it
[54:29]this happens a lot yeah no no some of the men they
[54:35]have the I don't know what it's called because you're not wearing
[54:38]you're not wearing underwear so it rubs and it and it creates
[54:42]uh it creates that friction yeah what is it called jock itch
[54:48]yeah so this happens um you're gonna see some people they're walking
[54:52]like a penguin um it's It's Gonna Hurt um put a piece
[54:58]of cloth put something but you can't put a cream at that
[55:03]time yes so it's um now some Scholars if you're in if
[55:06]you're really in trouble then they would allow it or you do
[55:09]it and you give the cafe what are you gonna do you
[55:10]don't want to get yourself in a worse in a worse situation
[55:14]we have cases where people they would go to the Imam and
[55:16]they tell them for example I'm in pain I have this then
[55:19]the Imam will tell them okay you're allowed to but in a
[55:21]normal circumstance you can't put up put on any any type of
[55:28]um lotion or any of that so causing yourself to bleed you
[55:32]can't do that clipping of the nails this is why all of
[55:37]these things um do that before because if you have a long
[55:41]nail your toes you're walking in the tawaf and you hit something
[55:45]that nail breaks you don't wanna you don't want to have that
[55:47]because there's just people it's jam-packed so make sure you clip your
[55:51]nails do all of the all of these things to this is
[55:54]a big problem to lie to swear to say well I had
[55:59]the you know I'm so tired and all these things I was
[56:03]better in the some people every other word is Wallah so this
[56:09]is this is It's kaffar it has kaffar on it you have
[56:11]to be very careful not to say that um no arguments even
[56:18]arguments can you fight with someone argue with someone just for the
[56:30]sake of argument no you you cannot do that so this is
[56:32]a big issue and you know this is a big test for
[56:35]people because in the Haram you really get tested you get angry
[56:38]why didn't you come you're late it's all your fault we did
[56:43]this and you have to be very careful this is all an
[56:45]act of yes people will be pushing you maybe someone will shove
[56:56]you so you you have to re you have to always remind
[56:58]yourself that you're in a state of ibadah okay can we go
[57:02]to the next slide yes so unless you're worried about covid or
[57:12]or something major you're allowed to Scholars now they they allowed but
[57:19]you have to see if you is it a real fear or
[57:20]is it not a real fear yeah but let me tell you
[57:31]something you're all going to get sick not to be not to
[57:36]be you know uh uh not to make you give you bad
[57:40]news but everyone gets sick when they go to Hajj because there's
[57:42]hundreds of thousands and millions of people they're coughing all over the
[57:45]place that's why try to try to protect yourself like don't get
[57:52]near someone who's sick but if you can if you don't um
[57:54]try not to wear the the the mask but if you feel
[57:59]that you had to then you you can a lot of I
[58:02]saw pictures of Scholars during covet because they were for it was
[58:04]imposed upon them well in the when you first enter you're in
[58:11]the mataf you're in you're but it's open it's open it's not
[58:16]like a closed area but it's it's I this is something if
[58:18]you feel that you really need to wear it then go ahead
[58:21]and wear it yeah so you know and Medina try to try
[58:48]to protect yourself but people either over there or when they get
[58:51]back they end up getting a cough you know nothing it's not
[58:55]nothing is going to kill you you might get a cough you
[58:57]might get a you know something but take some medicine with you
[59:02]maybe have access to a doctor take antibiotics take whatever you need
[59:05]with you to protect yourself um now we're on the page of
[59:11]the love can you go to the next one please yes when
[59:21]you enter into Mecca yes you go to them you go to
[59:26]the hotel no no no you don't take off your Haram that's
[59:32]it you could take off the ham and go to the shower
[59:35]but you can't wear anything else you can't wear anything else lips
[59:41]you can't wear you can't wear for example socks or pants or
[59:44]any of that thing you're in the states of Iran this is
[59:48]why this is what's going to happen you're gonna get to Mecca
[59:50]probably if you left at night you're gonna get to Mecca it's
[59:56]in the middle of the night um probably getting close to Fajr
[60:01]as well depending on how late you were but if it's just
[60:02]a small group of people you should be able to pray Maghrib
[60:06]and head out as soon as possible that's the best way to
[60:09]to do it you get there so what time is Maghrib right
[60:14]now in in Mecca or in Medina can someone look it up
[60:17]yeah so probably by 12 1 you get there you should get
[60:22]there you go to the hotel right away drop off your stuff
[60:28]Haram you don't want to waste time because the longer you're in
[60:33]the states of seven six words the longer you're in the states
[60:37]of the more chances of you looking in the mirror the more
[60:41]chances of you hugging your wife the more chances of something happens
[60:44]so here no offense to so here um any you have to
[60:51]try to do it as soon as possible so what do you
[60:56]do you go you drop off the stuff do will do maybe
[61:00]you're hungry you eat something there's stores around or in the hotel
[61:05]or whatever then you what you do is you go to Masjid
[61:08]so now you enter into you you enter into Masjid Al Haram
[61:17]and this is a very beautiful sight there's to us to be
[61:20]performed look up the there's a Dua that before you do the
[61:22]tawaf do it what do you take with you when you when
[61:26]you go to the take a drawstring bag for example for two
[61:32]people one person could carry a drawstring bag what do you have
[61:35]in there you're gonna you're gonna put your sandals in that drawstring
[61:41]bag so because there's sandals everyone's gonna get lost you put them
[61:45]in there and you close it you tie it if it has
[61:48]a zipper that's even better because one time funny story we went
[61:53]with um three of my friends we went to do the love
[61:54]one of the brothers he said let me take all the shoes
[61:58]let me take all of them and one of them had that
[62:02]expensive uh Birkenstocks so what happened was one of them he said
[62:07]I'll take all the I'll take all the sandals he wanted to
[62:12]volunteer so we said okay he put them all and he was
[62:16]we were in talav after we finished the laugh he turned around
[62:18]he took it off he saw that the bag had flipped and
[62:22]all of this all of the sandals had come fallen out so
[62:24]we had to walk to the hotel Barefoot so so here get
[62:29]one of those maybe with a zipper and you um put your
[62:33]you put your sandals in there and then you you put a
[62:38]bottle of water in there a bottle of water why because the
[62:43]water that is what water zamzam water and it says this water
[62:50]is only for drinking can you do a little of that water
[62:52]it's problematic so you take water that is yours that you that
[63:00]belongs to you you take that water and if you needed to
[63:02]do a loo you don't want to have to leave the Masjid
[63:04]but uh it takes you 15 minutes to leave and come back
[63:09]so you you you have that water to drink as well you
[63:11]could drink from from the zamzam water or you could drink from
[63:16]that as well and and to do although so this is all
[63:18]you need and your your address your where's your hotel um some
[63:23]maybe a Dua book maybe you want to put your phone or
[63:27]something in there but this this is something that you have to
[63:29]be very careful there's pickpock there's people with blades they'll cut your
[63:35]RAM and they'll and they'll take money no one enters into them
[63:39]in the into the laugh with money I remember the first year
[63:42]I went to Hajj after we finished someone says they took six
[63:45]thousand dollars from my pocket from we told them why did you
[63:49]carry that much money with you you leave it in the hotel
[63:50]leave it in the safe carry 100 100 real with you 200
[63:55]real don't carry more than that you don't need money the hotel
[64:00]is walking distance so you don't need you don't need to take
[64:03]money with you be very careful from people that will pick pick
[64:06]your pockets from you so maybe because it's you're in the state
[64:11]of there's pushing and showing you can't people are touching you all
[64:14]over someone just grabs something and you won't feel it so be
[64:17]very careful of that yes sister small spray bottles are good for
[64:22]Google to okay because it saves water it saves water and it
[64:30]gets your hands yes yes so these are good things to have
[64:35]so when you enter you're going to see a very beautiful sight
[64:39]you're going to see the Kaaba and the constant motion of people
[64:43]circumambulating around the Kaaba it's there's a Hadith that says that time
[64:50]when you see the Kaaba Allah will answer your to us yes
[64:57]no no any door any door there's [Music] they put it in
[65:09]the name of their kings so you enter into one of them
[65:14]but the now post covert there have been some changes that have
[65:17]been made so if you're not wearing a Haram you go through
[65:22]one door that does not take you to the Mata you have
[65:27]to make sure that you get on the ground floor of the
[65:28]tawaf because the Masjid has the ground floor where the Kappa is
[65:33]on and then around it there's there's levels there's levels different doors
[65:37]go to different levels when they see your mahrem you tell the
[65:41]police there you tell them I have to do tawaf he tells
[65:42]you go through this door there's only one or two doors that
[65:46]take you directly so you don't need to take go anywhere else
[65:48]it just takes you straight to the tawaf so when when you
[65:54]enter you're going to see the Kaaba do the Dua pick a
[65:56]location so it's going to be usually we enter like people are
[66:02]moving people are going pick a location say if we got lost
[66:04]if anything happens we meet at this door by this number here
[66:09]this is where you pick a location so that you come and
[66:13]you meet um if you ended up getting lost see this usually
[66:15]happens with bigger groups but if it's two or three people just
[66:19]hold on to one another and that's it you don't let go
[66:21]of one another and and you do that all together so when
[66:25]you begin when you do the talaf you read the Dua read
[66:29]the Dua and then you go in to um to begin the
[66:37]tawaf so is every tawaf has a Salah so there's no tawaf
[66:45]that does not have a Salah if you did uh the tawaf
[66:50]then that means you have to do a prayer Salat so and
[66:52]and how many times do you go around the cabin for Ottawa
[66:56]seven can you go eight no can you go six noaf is
[67:03]seven times yes let's not go off then you start you do
[67:14]the Nia you do the Nia before you reach when you reach
[67:18]the hajjad how do you know which Corners there's a green light
[67:22]there's a green light and you could tell you could tell which
[67:27]one is the one you have one corner before the is where
[67:31]that is where there's a you see the crack in the corner
[67:36]of the Kappa the next one is where it has the green
[67:41]light there you have to get your Nia together and now when
[67:44]you begin the tawaf you can't turn your shoulder left and right
[67:47]your shoulder has to be the whole time directly to the Kaaba
[67:55]so you can't in the middle of the lab turn around and
[67:59]you know start talking to people here and you can't do that
[68:04]you have to make sure that your shoulder is towards the Kaaba
[68:06]and you have to make sure that you are walking not being
[68:09]pushed some people because it's you know they're going with the flow
[68:13]with the crowd and they're just being pushed you have to make
[68:16]sure that you are walking you're doing that if if you got
[68:19]pushed you have to take a step back and then go and
[68:20]that's going to be really hard because the motion is is is
[68:27]constant so you do the Nia you say um I circumamble it
[68:40]around the Kaaba seven times for Amrita for Islam you have to
[68:47]memorize this is now when you begin the so so you you
[68:57]you have to get in the position of where you want to
[69:01]be before you reach because you can't just enter the so you
[69:04]start probably when you first enter start you may you might have
[69:08]to do a half a circle or maybe like three-fourths of a
[69:12]circle then once you reach what then you say this you're going
[69:23]to see people they do this towards the they look at the
[69:28]Kaaba and they they do this you say Bismillah and you you
[69:32]walk you you begin walking you have to try your best to
[69:39]be between the Kaaba and makam Ibrahim Ibrahim um I don't think
[69:44]we have a picture uh go to the next slide please inside
[69:51]this there is a foot a footprint of prophet Ibrahim this this
[69:57]was something that used to lift while Ibrahim and Ismail would would
[70:01]build the Kaaba this this is this is right by the door
[70:10]this is that's what so as soon as you begin you begin
[70:14]you do the knee and here you have to make sure you
[70:16]get in here between it's not it doesn't it looks smaller here
[70:22]but it's probably from this wall to this wall how much 13
[70:27]meters yes so if you couldn't if it was too crowded it's
[70:29]okay if you're outside but try to be inside try to be
[70:34]inside so here you do the Nia and you go inside my
[70:38]advice is to stay as close as possible to the Kaaba but
[70:42]don't touch the camera don't touch the catbat and don't touch a
[70:45]Jerusalem you're gonna be you're gonna you can touch but don't put
[70:51]your hand above it above it because you want to be around
[70:55]the cabin you don't want to be within the Kaaba and one
[70:57]opinion says that is a part of the Kaaba so this is
[71:01]a part of the old camera so you you do the top
[71:06]around so you go around and the closer the circle is the
[71:09]smaller the circle the faster you will finish because if you're outside
[71:14]there's some people they're doing falaf all the way up each one
[71:18]takes them about 20 minutes 50 you know 10 minutes or something
[71:25]so you get you you walk in there right now they're praying
[71:29]so there's not a lot but you walk in there try to
[71:33]walk like this and then once you you reach they're all walking
[71:34]this way you're just on your side and you start walking like
[71:39]this walk like this until until you make your way in close
[71:42]to the Kaaba close to the Kaaba you make the Nia right
[71:45]before you reach yes no you don't look at the you could
[71:57]there's no problem of turning your shoulder turning your neck but your
[72:01]shoulder cannot go like this you could you could you could be
[72:08]on your phone you could talk to people that you could do
[72:10]talk you could do all that thing but you can't turn your
[72:14]shoulder from the Kaaba so you have to make sure you're you're
[72:17]doing this you're in a state of Nevada you're just walking counter
[72:22]clockwise right it's uh yes counterclockwise motion around the okay now let
[72:31]me see what was um yes try to so don't you don't
[72:41]turn your shoulder around you can't be like you know I'm here
[72:43]coming this way or something you're just if you you want to
[72:45]talk to someone just be like I'm here you know let them
[72:48]let them hear you see you but you don't turn around you
[72:53]just be like come come this way I'm here you know you
[72:55]signal to them okay do you need to Aloo for the tawaf
[72:59]yes do you need to look for the side you don't need
[73:03]to look for the side so now you um you have to
[73:10]go seven times around the Kaaba so what does this mean you
[73:14]started you go one time around when you come when you reach
[73:20]it again that's one then you go again no you don't need
[73:24]another name then you go again that's the second time a third
[73:26]time a fourth time you finish the seventh time at what use
[73:31]a ring or use a counter because it's gonna get confusing especially
[73:35]if or there's duas each time that you go that way you'll
[73:45]know exactly where you're at yeah read it read it from your
[73:52]phone read it from the book that you have and then after
[73:54]you finish that then you read other duas that you want to
[74:00]read you could read so then you keep track of of where
[74:02]you're at if you lost track check between the third or the
[74:09]fourth what happens becomes void becomes void it becomes void anywhere anywhere
[74:15]you doubt in the tawaf you have to start over yes but
[74:21]if you lost your wulu from the first round to the fourth
[74:29]round then that makes it battle but if you lost your wulu
[74:32]after the fourth or you had to go use the restroom you
[74:34]had to leave then you could come back and finish at the
[74:40]fourth okay so the fourth is the line if you'd reached it
[74:43]then you could continue but if you didn't reach it then you
[74:48]yes yes yeah but try to that's why before leaving use the
[74:55]restroom do whatever you had to do so that you are in
[74:59]the state of ULU some people they get pushed I remember one
[75:01]time we did the someone came and he said you know I
[75:04]got pushed I lost my Willow in the middle of the so
[75:06]don't hide it and get embarrassed or something this is something because
[75:11]you have another Ahmad that is built upon this you can't do
[75:14]the next one until you have done this so you need to
[75:17]go that's it this is Hajj you've paid all this money make
[75:19]sure you're doing it correctly yes well if you have it in
[75:28]your hand it's okay I mean but it's yeah you don't want
[75:30]to you don't want to do something that might if if you
[75:34]might drop it then don't take it in there any other questions
[75:37]okay um the intention is I circumembly around the Kappa seven times
[75:46]after you finish the tawaf where do you go you go you
[75:53]do the Salah the turaka prayer each tawaf ha it's the life
[75:58]is seven I remember one time someone said yeah you know I
[76:03]was I wanted to do extra so I did eight eight times
[76:04]around the can you do eight times you can't this is still
[76:08]off it's like saying I prayed Fajr prayer three like us this
[76:11]time this is you have to do exactly what you're supposed to
[76:15]do then you go and you do the turakata can you say
[76:17]I did the the laugh but I don't feel like I don't
[76:19]have time to do the no they come together you go and
[76:24]you do the turaka the turaka prayer you go and you pray
[76:31]Ibrahim so what does that mean that means Ibrahim should be in
[76:35]front of you and the Kappa could be further ahead so you
[76:39]go that area is crowded and people are all people they go
[76:42]and they pray there so you go somewhere and try to pray
[76:46]where makama Ibrahim is in front of you try to have it
[76:47]as close as like right in front of you but if it's
[76:51]like right here it's in front of you it still counts you're
[76:55]in the position of magame Ibrahim and the Nia is um I
[76:58]pray um when you finish this now you finished the half of
[77:15]the Amrita tomato now you have one half that's left which is
[77:19]the sari Desai you have to do and here we go to
[77:24]the next um now go drink some water you're going to be
[77:29]tired you're going to be really exhausted sweaty it's it's gonna be
[77:32]really it's gonna be really tough but um if if Salat time
[77:38]came because maybe you came late so that time came you pray
[77:41]and then you have to do the sorry right away they're they're
[77:43]connected with one another you can't say no I'm kind of tired
[77:47]right now let me go home let me go to the hotel
[77:49]and then I'll do the Sai later the talaf and the side
[77:52]they're together so but if prayer time came or you want to
[77:55]rest for a little while you can but you you can't just
[77:59]leave it for another time so um you drink some zamzam water
[78:05]go to the massage Ibrahim turn around there's you ask which way
[78:12]is Safa which way is Safa you go towards the Masa and
[78:18]this time you have two mountains these two mountains they are from
[78:27]the Shah of Allah this bring you closer to Allah it's closer
[78:31]to the Kaaba so if you're standing on sofa you could see
[78:35]the Kappa but marwa is a little bit further out further out
[78:40]and it's um you have to start at Safa you start at
[78:44]Safa and this is the same thing you have to you you
[78:48]go back and forth seven times so you start at Safa you
[78:52]go to marwa that counts as one then from marawa you come
[78:56]back to Safa two three four five six seven you finish at
[78:59]marwa also count with this there's also duas for the for the
[79:04]Sai as well the Sai will probably take longer there's a pla
[79:07]there's a place in the middle of the Messiah you see green
[79:12]lights as well this for the men they have to hurdle you
[79:17]have to kind of go a little bit faster you're going to
[79:20]see people going faster this I I there's two opinions one is
[79:27]that um hajjar when she what she used to hear Ismail crying
[79:29]so she used to start running choose to start running when she
[79:35]hears a smile crying that's why it's supposed to have for men
[79:38]of course to to hurdle another says that rasulullah when he went
[79:41]to do umrah the first time when he went to do umrah
[79:46]and the kuffar they were all watching this was before he took
[79:48]over Makai the umbrellans the qafar they were all watching he reached
[79:53]the place where they were all sitting and watching he tells the
[79:56]Muslims start running hurtling to show them strength to show them power
[80:00]and they they do that and the ground starts shaking so it's
[80:05]a it's a it's you know the the that moment being in
[80:10]in the Hadith says the best location the most or the best
[80:16]location for Allah on Earth is why because this is the place
[80:22]of Abu Dia this is the place where you actually feel I'm
[80:25]a slave of God where you have to go run between these
[80:30]two mountains for the sake of Allah so once again you can't
[80:36]turn your shoulder so when you're walking Safa is behind you you're
[80:40]walking to marwa you have to walk straight that's it you can't
[80:45]turn your shoulder hey guys what's going on or something like that
[80:50]you you walk and the state of abudia you reach marwa here's
[80:56]here's Safa and here's marwa and here's the Kaaba so there's a
[81:06]mountain here and then there's a mountain here before people used to
[81:09]be able to go like this and come back like this now
[81:13]they've done a huge expansion of the Masa and similarly with Masjid
[81:18]al-haram there's a huge expansion so now what they've done is these
[81:22]are connected to another but this is only one way the return
[81:25]is here it's not between Safa and marwa anymore so now majority
[81:31]of the scholars they say you can't do there's nothing that you
[81:34]could do about it because the return is here but what you
[81:38]could do is try to stay as La as close as possible
[81:41]to the left try to stay as close as possible between these
[81:45]so that you are somewhat between Safa and marwa um you have
[81:52]to try to make sure that you're staying as close as possible
[81:54]don't go all the way out here because you're not you're not
[81:58]doing side between Safa and marwa anymore is that clear okay and
[82:01]then there's another thing this there there was a time this used
[82:06]to be one floor one level now they've had it they've added
[82:09]a basement and they've added second and third uh levels which level
[82:13]do you have to do your cyan the ground level the ground
[82:18]level that is the original level that you do if you ended
[82:20]up they sent you to the to the basement that would be
[82:24]also okay but being on top you're not you have to try
[82:25]to touch with your feet touch the mountain of course they've they've
[82:31]put this fence here and here they they don't let you kind
[82:34]of like really touch the mountain but try to you'll feel the
[82:36]elevation you're going a little bit higher and then you turn around
[82:43]so um once you once you reach marwa make sure that you
[82:46]have reached it some people before they reach marwa the ground hasn't
[82:48]even gone up they turn around go up a little bit and
[82:51]then turn around and then and then start going back okay so
[82:56]then um once you've done that you end up marwa at the
[83:01]seventh time now you do what is called taksir taksir that will
[83:06]take you out of the state of Iran so here one other
[83:11]thing that you should add with you and that bag is a
[83:15]small scissors small scissors you carry with you one person for the
[83:18]group we had for example we had a group of 40 people
[83:21]we had two people with scissors you don't need to have everyone
[83:25]carrying scissors with them you do the tuxed for yourself you could
[83:28]if you're a man you could cut from your beard from your
[83:34]hair um you you do you do that you say I do
[83:35]the taxi to to get out of the state of Iran um
[83:49]and then you cut can you cut someone else's before you've done
[83:55]yours no because you can't cut any hair but you you do
[83:57]yours and then you could cut someone else's uh you have to
[84:03]that's what you do once you do that you do the taksir
[84:06]then is finished is complete um don't shave there are some guys
[84:14]who they do the um they go and they shave what hairs
[84:15]are you going to leave for the Hajj you're gonna have you're
[84:19]gonna have to do Hajj after that's when you do the Hulk
[84:21]and Minna for the Hajj now you you have to just cut
[84:26]cut a little bit just you know a few strands of hair
[84:32]that would be enough as well it must have to um especially
[84:35]for the men to grow out your hair before the Hajj so
[84:39]that when you make a when you shave when you cut you
[84:41]have enough hair to cut right yes keep your comments to yourself
[84:47]yeah [Laughter] so now um should we stop here or should we
[84:55]talk about I'm fine yes well you can't the Jebel there's a
[85:07]place where you can't go but you'll feel the elevation you'll feel
[85:09]that start going up so yes um your foot should touch it
[85:14]yes no you you won't be able to go around it because
[85:16]there's like a wall here there's there's a wall here so what
[85:20]you do is you go up as as close as you can
[85:23]you'll feel that like here it starts elevating so you start feeling
[85:26]the elevation go a little bit higher and then turn around and
[85:28]same with here as well like some people they turn here before
[85:33]the elevation starts right try to feel a little bit of the
[85:37]elevation yes yes brother it's in it's in the Masjid it's in
[85:45]the same vicinity so it'll take you two three minutes to walk
[85:48]from where the the tawa finished you go all the way to
[85:53]uh Safa yeah you have to ask them because there's construction tell
[85:56]them which way is Safa and you you walk between the towards
[86:01]Muhammad um so you need to keep track but if you're if
[86:14]you're the group you know try to try to record or think
[86:17]about it but if you really don't know then it becomes about
[86:19]them if you have doubt you could always you know try to
[86:25]like okay if I'm at marijuana now where because from Safa tomorrow
[86:29]that counts as one when you're back that's the second yes some
[86:33]people they go they do a whole circle and then they started
[86:35]counting on no it's written he's asking if you if you forgot
[86:44]where you were lost okay so now um it depends on when
[87:00]you're arriving usually when we go with a group we arrive and
[87:02]then we have a few days to rest in Mecca you have
[87:06]a few days so these days go every day to Masjid Al
[87:08]Haram um don't don't spend too much time at the stores but
[87:15]it's okay to go shopping a little yes you're allowed to wear
[87:35]shoes inside you're allowed to wear shoes inside yes yes you stay
[87:45]for a few days depending on your travel yes so as soon
[87:53]as you do the tuxedo you take off the run you go
[87:57]to the hotel take a shower you you put on your cologne
[88:01]your deodorant all of this you could do no problem then every
[88:03]day you go to Masjid Al Haram you go to imagine Haram
[88:08]do ibada do worship try to do their Salas Haram then now
[88:12]you get ready for the Hajj so sometimes like when usually we
[88:18]go to Hajj they give us about like you know five six
[88:20]days and then and then the Hajj begins or four days until
[88:25]the Hajj begins so I don't know about how how long your
[88:31]your travel is for so but technically as soon as you get
[88:33]out of the States of America you could re-enter into the state
[88:37]of to do the Hajj if you if you got there late
[88:38]for example but the Hajj is on the ninth of the you
[88:44]need to be an Arafat so I don't know what day you
[88:49]guys are landing what day you guys are arriving there of of
[88:52]the maybe first second third yes so so here you need to
[88:57]enter into the state of Iran if you're if your Haram became
[89:00]dirty you go wash it or buy a new one um now
[89:05]you need to do Islam you did um now you need to
[89:13]do so how do you do you need to enter into the
[89:15]state of once again once again you need to wear the Haram
[89:21]so where do you enter into the states of you enter into
[89:24]the state of Iran if a lady is on her menstrual cycle
[89:29]and she couldn't enter into Haram she could do it outside um
[89:33]furthermore to add to you know just to explain this if a
[89:37]lady was on her menstrual cycle and they went into the umra
[89:39]and she could not do the tawaf then someone goes and does
[89:45]the talaf on her she gives wakala for someone to do the
[89:47]tala on her behalf and the Salat she could do herself is
[89:52]not a part of the Masjid she could do herself um but
[89:57]you can a lady cannot enter into the Masjid al-haram while on
[90:03]the um menstrual cycle during the hive so now you you go
[90:07]there and you do the Nia you you go there and you
[90:12]and you do the Nia and the Nia is Lam I enter
[90:20]into the States you don't say because you've done now for Islam
[90:29]and then you say once again yes the eighth you do this
[90:42]on the eighth at night eighth of the at night of course
[90:48]if maybe the Saudi government announced eighth over there is one day
[90:51]and for you it's another day you follow along with what they're
[90:54]doing you follow because the Quran says yes you're done with that
[91:04]no no no more you've already entered into Makkah you've done the
[91:10]um you're in Makkah now you you just go to Masjid Haram
[91:16]and you wear the Haram once again you do the knee of
[91:18]entering into Haram once again where those 25 Things become forbidden upon
[91:23]you I enter into the state of Iran for for hajjal Islamic
[91:37]not yes brother you go to the Haram you pray you wear
[91:52]your normal clothes and you go foreign like one seven rounds and
[92:06]then another seven rounds another however much energy you have you could
[92:10]do or you could just sit and look at the Kaaba another
[92:13]Masjid any Masjid that you enter in that is if you saw
[92:24]it's crowded wait until it kind of you that you have to
[92:30]do are three one for the umrah and two for the Hajj
[92:35]but other than that you could do as many as you as
[92:36]you want yes but no Sai Sai is not done only in
[92:41]the States of or on there's only sorry for um you can't
[92:45]say Okay I want I'm in the mood to do as well
[92:49]is what you do yes no during that time you're ready you're
[93:05]you're already uh tied basically that's because you didn't do remember when
[93:11]we did we did and then we started another umra for someone
[93:16]else but now you're waiting for the Hajj this is this is
[93:19]why it's called tomato tomato um this is it you can't do
[93:27]another um until you do the Hajj after the Hajj you could
[93:32]do another umrah yes yes so here you go to Masjid or
[93:34]outside wherever like close to nazrat Haram you do the Nia then
[93:38]you get in the bus you get in the car this time
[93:42]it's probably going to be a bus you have to figure out
[93:44]um because they're gonna take you to Arafat when do you have
[93:50]to be in Arafat on the 9th of the day of arafah
[93:55]you have to make sure you're in Arafat before noon time typically
[93:59]what we do is on the 8th at night the eighth the
[94:04]day before arafah we enter into the state of the RAM and
[94:07]all of the judge they go to Arafat they sleep that night
[94:10]in Arafat in the tents that they have available for them in
[94:13]Arafat so you need to see how their your group The accommodation
[94:18]how they're going to set it up maybe they give you the
[94:20]address of the tent because over there it's like a campground there's
[94:23]tents it's all numbered so you need to figure out um how
[94:29]you're going to how how you're going to get there usually we
[94:33]go with a group the group just takes us in the bus
[94:34]and they tell you they tell you this is your tent so
[94:37]what do you need before we used to have to buy sleeping
[94:41]bag now you go and you see there's like a there's like
[94:46]a a couch that turns into a bed and there's bathrooms and
[94:50]and all of these things but take the necessary necessary things that
[94:53]you need a prayer mat your turba your subha your phone your
[94:58]phone charger slippers for the Sisters if you want to go use
[95:02]the restroom or something the men are you're already wearing slippers um
[95:06]but Pack Light don't pack something heavy because you have to go
[95:10]to Arafat this is this time it's much longer in Iran before
[95:13]it was just a couple hours you're in the car from you
[95:17]go you do that and that's it maybe seven hours eight hours
[95:20]and you're out of Haram this time you're going to be in
[95:26]Haram Arafat and in morning on the day of Eid after the
[95:28]rummy you get out of there so um you do the Nia
[95:33]and Masjid Haram and then you say talbia and then you go
[95:36]to Arafat yes go ahead no yes all are valid all are
[95:50]valid they'll often decide you're going to do it after the Hajj
[95:54]because remember we did the when we did the Umbra if you're
[95:55]not doing the Hajj you have to do right away otherwise you
[96:00]can't get married but now you could do you could everything becomes
[96:03]here's the difference where sunnis and Shahs there's a this um he
[96:09]made so it's Haram for a man to marry his wife to
[96:15]have a relationship with his wife between the Umbra and but during
[96:22]the time of the prop sometimes there were people they entered into
[96:26]Mecca they have a month left until Hajj so it was not
[96:31]made Haram so everything becomes okay even if you haven't done yet
[96:36]everything is is okay then you will do after the Hajj yes
[96:41]go ahead go ahead this is the time to ask in two
[96:55]days and one day then she does that man so um these
[97:00]are all things then you go to Arafat Arafat technically the ninth
[97:06]of the you need to be in Arafat but typically what we
[97:08]do is we go the eighth the night before there's go get
[97:13]settled in your tent um find a place that's comfortable put your
[97:17]sajada next to you do some Dua do some and now on
[97:25]an Arafat at noon time on the 9th of the noon time
[97:29]you say Arafat I I stand in Arafat or you don't have
[97:35]to technically be standing but I stay I'm in Arafat Islam so
[97:45]between noon and Maghrib time you need to be an Arafat that
[97:51]time you have to be in Arafat and the Hadith all the
[97:57]hajjad they have to go in Arafat of desert and that's it
[98:01]a place of ibadah there Arafat to admit your sins to Allah
[98:14]and then you um the Hadith says when the sun sets on
[98:19]the day of Arafat it sets with the sins of everyone who's
[98:25]in Arafat this is a promise from Allah so Allah will forgive
[98:29]the sins of those who are in Arafat so you stay from
[98:36]noon until Maghrib time at Maghrib time you go towards so um
[98:45]here Makkah see matka is here Arafat is here and then Muslim
[98:54]is here and Minna is here so what you're doing is you're
[99:01]going all the way to Arafat and then you're coming slowly back
[99:04]to muzdalifa here you collect the stones and Arafat this is where
[99:08]you stay the the ninth of then the ninth at night and
[99:14]tenth in the morning Eighth Day in the morning you wake up
[99:16]you wake up at night after Maghrib you go to muzdalafa you
[99:22]sleep the night in Muslim you stay the night in Muslim this
[99:28]time here there were Tans you have nice bathrooms you have all
[99:31]these things here you just get a mountain you don't get anything
[99:36]it's you get there at night what is your duty what do
[99:41]you have to do in Muslim and Muslim it's a desert with
[99:45]no tense you're just going to see people sleeping on the ground
[99:48]this is why I recommend you buy yourself a sleeping bag a
[99:53]small sleeping bag nothing big small sleeping bag because in musdelife you
[99:58]need a place to put your head on you need a place
[100:02]to lay on so you get yourself a sleeping bag and you
[100:05]could probably use it in Arafat and then you you get there
[100:11]you have to stay the night another very important task that you
[100:14]have is there you have to collect the Pebbles you collect the
[100:19]Pebbles each hajjar has to be no larger than this the top
[100:23]part of your forefinger so this big you don't go get a
[100:31]big rock you you go and you you get something a small
[100:33]one and you have to stay in Muslim that night so Ninth
[100:40]at night and the next day in the morning is tenth in
[100:44]the morning um you you get up you pray the federal prayer
[100:48]some people they're they're going to be able to sleep you're going
[100:51]to be tired some people they fall asleep wherever you just have
[100:54]to make sure you're in was Jennifer there's there's a sign that
[100:57]says this is the Muslim border this is the Minna border this
[101:01]is border you have to make sure you're in there sometimes these
[101:03]tents that they give you through this package they give you attention
[101:07]that's outside of Minna if your tent is outside of the borders
[101:11]of Minna you have to go and sit on the bridge you
[101:15]have to go and sit inside you know figure out a place
[101:18]to to be so um you have to make sure you're in
[101:22]Minna or in Arafat during that time so you collect the store
[101:26]you stay that night you collect the stones you collect about a
[101:30]hundred because on the day of Eid you're going to need seven
[101:35]and then the next day the 11th so this is the 10th
[101:42]of the hajja and then on the 11th you need uh seven
[101:45]seven twenty one because the the first day you're only hitting the
[101:51]big one then the next day the small middle big and the
[101:55]12 you're also you're also uh 21.
[102:01]because you're hitting all seven so so um you collect at least
[102:07]a hundred because you might lose some you might um some might
[102:10]fall whatever it is and you stay in musdelife all the way
[102:15]until sunrise so Fajr prayer some people you're going to see they
[102:19]prayed Fajr and they start walking to Minna can you walk to
[102:24]midnight yet no you wait until sunrise wait until the sun rises
[102:27]look up what time sunrise this is the 10th Eighth Day in
[102:34]the morning you stay until sunrise so between Fajr and sunrise do
[102:39]the Nia once again is until sunrise um foreign women do not
[103:04]need to stay that night it's not a really comfortable place women
[103:08]they went to during the time of the prophets and and others
[103:14]they would send the woman to go to Minna um that night
[103:17]the night of Eid because it gets really crowded on the day
[103:21]of everyone's trying to do that I mean at the same time
[103:23]so the women are allowed to go but if you're just three
[103:28]people I wouldn't recommend you know separating from the woman with you
[103:32]just get yourself ready and try to figure things out but usually
[103:34]when we had a group we have a hundred people one guy
[103:39]he volunteers to take a uh you know a bus of the
[103:41]elderly or those who are unable to stay but if you're able
[103:45]to just stick together for a couple of hours because you have
[103:47]the next day Minna you have to be together you don't want
[103:51]to separate I would not I would highly advise against separating from
[103:54]one another you want especially if you're just a group of five
[103:56]six people you're not that much stick with one another so now
[104:03]from Muslim you pick you got your Pebbles and you got your
[104:05]um you stayed the night and you stayed between uh Fajr and
[104:11]sunrise you stayed between Fajr and sunrise there might be buses going
[104:16]from Arafat probably your package has a bus after Maghrib got on
[104:20]the bus or um you could you could stay a little bit
[104:24]late like till 12 o'clock or something and then go because here
[104:29]finding bathrooms in muzzle is going to be really difficult there's a
[104:33]long line um there's no really place to stay and Arafat they
[104:36]have a tent so make sure like be as comfortable as you
[104:41]know use the restroom do whatever you have to do and Arafat
[104:43]and then go to muzdalafa and carry a bottle of water with
[104:47]you some people there's no time to go to the bathroom they
[104:49]just go behind the mountain so here they um you're in muzdalafa
[104:53]after Sunrise what do you do there's buses going to the camps
[105:01]in Minna Minna has camps it has tents but I've never done
[105:04]that what we do is we just start walking straight to Minna
[105:08]it's about a 40-minute walk an hour walk but the sun is
[105:14]coming up so it's gonna be hot so you wanna as soon
[105:17]as sun rises start walking before it before it gets too hot
[105:20]you start walking and you're walking with millions of a judge they're
[105:24]all walking in that direction they're all walking this is where it
[105:29]gets dangerous sometimes last the other year people were killed on this
[105:34]day there was a stampede because they had everyone going All in
[105:37]One Direction so um you have to be very careful and while
[105:44]while you're walking to me now there's tents that they have prepared
[105:49]for you if you're really tired you could go to the tent
[105:50]you could go take a shower you could do whatever you want
[105:54]and then go do that on me but I would advise for
[105:57]you to just go straight to the jamarat so when you reach
[106:00]the jamarat you're walking to Minna you're going to see um uh
[106:06]like a big complex a huge Bridge a big complex that's where
[106:10]the jamarats are when you're walking in that complex it's I think
[106:17]it's five stories now it's five five six levels now you have
[106:20]to make sure that you are doing the rummy on the original
[106:26]floor you're not doing it upstairs second or third or fourth sometimes
[106:29]you're walking and then you see yourself oh I'm on a ramp
[106:32]it's going up now depending on the route that they put you
[106:34]on if you saw yourself on the ramp going up it's okay
[106:40]there's stairs there there's elevators or stairs near the jamalats but you're
[106:44]gonna have to walk a distance um you're you're gonna get there
[106:50]then you could go down so because they might not let you
[106:52]turn around and get in the other road so um you walk
[106:58]then you're going to see the Jamara the small jamala shaitan it's
[107:03]a wall it's a big wall it used to be one narrow
[107:05]column now they've made it a huge wall then you're gonna see
[107:08]the middle one then you're going to see the large one that
[107:14]is the on the day of Eid you only need to do
[107:19]Rami of that one you only need to do Rami of that
[107:23]one so here when you reach the Jamara you go and you
[107:27]stand in the middle see it's a it's a wall now you're
[107:36]in Minna it's a wall and it's like all like this you
[107:45]need to try to hit it in the middle because this is
[107:49]where the original one used to be because the wall it wasn't
[107:54]this big it used to be one narrow one and people are
[107:56]hitting from all sides and you have the stones from people hitting
[108:00]on the other sides coming and hitting you no this is they're
[108:03]all the same size they're all the same size but you have
[108:06]to hit the middle because that's where that's where the original one
[108:11]was so you you try to estimate like don't you know don't
[108:13]hit it on the side uh just go go to the middle
[108:17]the stoning try your best to hit the middle but yes you
[108:25]have to see the stone hitting the wall you have to see
[108:30]it you have to be sure that it hits if you're not
[108:34]sure then you had another one until you are sure yes but
[108:36]you can't if you're sure that you reached seven you can't say
[108:40]you know I don't like the shaitaan he's really been let me
[108:43]hit the eighth one no you can't it's the upward you have
[108:47]to hit seven so if you know you hit seven you can't
[108:49]hit more yes yes just for Shaq but not for yeah you
[108:57]know I really I'm really upset with him you know something like
[109:01]that it's gonna be very crowded don't go with your phone here
[109:07]is where you don't take a phone don't take money don't take
[109:12]anything don't carry a bag carry them in your head or whatever
[109:14]it's really crowded you have people they're doing this and you're walking
[109:18]you're gonna hit you're gonna hit in the head you might get
[109:23]hit in the back of the head you might it's this is
[109:24]where people have died before slippers you're gonna see a mountain of
[109:28]slippers on the ground it's really crowded it's really crowded people if
[109:34]especially for men if you touch if you get on your Haram
[109:39]you fall it's going to be it's really difficult so what you
[109:43]do is you go in slowly and wulu is not required here
[109:49]of course it's it's shaytan you don't need to do for shaytan
[109:52]so then you you go in try to get as close as
[109:56]possible to the wall there are some people the wall is over
[110:00]here and they're hitting from from Far some people they get upset
[110:03]with shaitan they're throwing their shoes at shaitaan so you can't do
[110:07]that you get as close as possible and just get yourself in
[110:12]there get yourself in there there's people running and laughing and crying
[110:15]and doing all these things you get in there slowly put your
[110:18]hand the head down because there's hands going up you get in
[110:22]there then you see the wall right in front of you you're
[110:25]in the middle you go right away um this sometimes it's a
[110:31]very easy operation and sometimes it could be deadly so you and
[110:36]your luck man yes inshallah inshallah you defeat shaytan and shaytan does
[110:42]not defeat yes sister yes so the the Nia is I do
[110:51]the Rami of the jamarat the Jamal khubra for hajjal Islam and
[110:55]then you go ahead and you do it you don't have to
[110:58]for each single one um and you say with everyone that you
[111:04]throw you could or you don't have to if you ran out
[111:09]of stones what do you do there's a lot on the ground
[111:12]can you pick them up no because those have already been used
[111:16]you ask someone else for Stones you ask someone else for stones
[111:21]yeah some people are carrying more so for each person let them
[111:25]carry at least a hundred that way you'll you'll um you have
[111:28]enough on the third day or maybe someone lost their stones but
[111:32]you have to try to um carry enough now if you lost
[111:37]you don't have access you could from Mecca some people from the
[111:40]mountains and Mecca they could get Stones so you could always go
[111:42]back to Mecca and get a get stones no you're gonna go
[111:49]back to Mecca during those three days because you have three days
[111:52]of Rami for the next time yes 10 days this is on
[111:59]the 10th day the day of Eid so you walked you walked
[112:04]from Minna you asked excuse me from the first thing you need
[112:09]to do in Minna is you need to go and do the
[112:14]stoning okay you you do the stoning at the jamarat you only
[112:16]do the big one there's three you only do the big one
[112:20]the next day the 11th you have to do the small middle
[112:22]large the third day small middle large before noon I'll explain to
[112:28]you yeah no you go back to Mecca or your attention however
[112:32]you feel like doing um what until noon time try to do
[112:41]it before noon but you have until Maghrib say I someone couldn't
[112:44]do it you have until Maghrib time to do it so um
[112:48]if right now you went you saw it's really crowded do it
[112:52]later then there's the other the very important thing they are yeah
[112:58]you could go to your tent the cat they have a tent
[113:03]prepared for you it's more it's better equipped than the ones in
[113:06]Arafat and Muslim there's nothing and Arafat there's a good tent and
[113:09]Minna they have actual permanent tents because people are staying there for
[113:13]three four days so they've they've actually have permanent sense for you
[113:20]so um you do the Rami of the big one now the
[113:22]other thing that you need to arrange before you go you need
[113:28]to call someone reliable someone that you trust and you need to
[113:33]tell them I give you akala to do the Sheep slaughtering for
[113:35]me after the Rami they need to do the the slaughtering so
[113:44]now you're in the state of Iran you're still in the state
[113:49]of everything is Haram upon you you've only done that you need
[113:52]to have the ship slaughtered for you before people used to have
[113:57]sheep with them in Mena and they go and they slaughter now
[113:58]the muslaq the place of slaughtering is even outside Minna what we
[114:02]need to do is you need to find the Shia group if
[114:05]your merger allows I don't know some maraja they allow you to
[114:11]do it overseas you just call okay I did the Rami now
[114:16]do my for me do my slaughtering for me at this time
[114:18]if your marriage doesn't allow say to standing others they say it
[114:22]has to be done in that vicinity so you arrange there are
[114:27]some Shia groups and other places um they they have someone going
[114:34]on behalf of 100 people 200 people and they're doing the slaughterhouse
[114:38]so you need to give that person wakala and you need to
[114:41]give that person the money of the biha so it's a hundred
[114:45]a hundred fifty dollars you give it to them ahead of time
[114:47]ahead of time it's not going to do it for you if
[114:49]you don't if you don't give it to him and you need
[114:52]to give him your name he adds you to the list then
[114:55]you finish the Rami you tell him I finished the the Rami
[115:00]now I want you to do the best for me he'll tell
[115:05]you okay we have a hundred left to go your name is
[115:06]going to we're going to start right now so or we're waiting
[115:10]for this group to finish the rummy until we begin the process
[115:13]so then he calls you or you call him you have to
[115:18]you have to tell him did you finish that I mean they'll
[115:20]call they'll say okay the Army has been done for this person
[115:24]this person this person this person as soon as they tell you
[115:27]that rhyme sorry the slaughter has been done on your behalf then
[115:30]you shave and for the Sisters you do the saxeer and you
[115:36]get out of and that needs to be done in Minna it
[115:38]cannot be done outside of Minna yes yes so you're going to
[115:46]see Barbers all over or you could do it yourself um but
[115:48]what you need to do is after that after you do the
[115:52]rummy of the big one this is probably going to take a
[115:57]couple hours by the time they do the best for you because
[116:00]you're not in control of the situation someone else has to do
[116:04]the slaughtering for you and you need to wait for their call
[116:06]so what my advice now you go to the tent figure out
[116:12]what your number where your intent is from from the uh from
[116:16]the jamarat walk to the tent walk to the tent rest in
[116:21]the tent put your phone on the charger take a shower you're
[116:23]still in the Haram but you could take a shower you could
[116:27]do all of these things there's a tent for the men tent
[116:28]for the woman the the same Campground you're going to see people
[116:34]they're shaving people they're they're doing all that but you cannot shave
[116:40]until the slot the biha has been done for you so once
[116:42]that the biha has been done for you and that's something that
[116:46]you need to arrange when you're there find the Shia group call
[116:50]you know find someone some Maharaja allow I don't know study doesn't
[116:54]I don't know about the others um whether they allow like I
[116:59]remember for example nasar makaram I believe he used to allow doing
[117:01]it outside of uh like doing it in a poor country for
[117:06]example in Iraq and Iran um but others they say you have
[117:11]to probably do it over there so figure out what what the
[117:14]or we could we could look it up later what each murder
[117:19]says then then you they do the biha they call you they
[117:22]say we've done then you could do the then you could get
[117:25]out of the do the taksir for the sisters and for the
[117:28]brothers that it's their first time going to have to shave you
[117:33]have to shave and you don't like cut and then shave no
[117:35]it needs to be the basically you start shaving like right away
[117:40]you start shaving um like that's the first thing that that you
[117:44]begin begin with and there's Barbers over there that'll do that then
[117:50]you could get out of the state of Iran so now you've
[117:52]done the you've done the the the stone ink and they've done
[117:58]the slaughtering of the sheep for you you could do the Hulk
[118:01]and the taksir and that needs to be on the day of
[118:05]Eid okay now um you've exited in the state of Haram now
[118:09]you could go where your distasia you could go wear your clothes
[118:13]or a lot of people that you you haven't carried clothes with
[118:16]you you're you're because you left your belongings everything at the hotel
[118:20]you're still in Haram but now you could get out of Minna
[118:25]you could get out of Minna and you go to the hotel
[118:27]here you you walk outside the borders of another's taxis outside yeah
[118:34]figure out which way is Mecca but here this is a decision
[118:37]you need to make where you need because you need to that
[118:44]night the Knights of Eid this is where it gets a little
[118:46]bit um tricky going back to Mecca is going to take you
[118:50]probably 45 minutes to an hour to an hour and a half
[118:55]and even more if your hotels are in Mecca if you're in
[118:59]azizia it's a walk this is where being in azizia benefits you
[119:03]but if you're in Mecca you're staying in the hotel in Mecca
[119:08]my advice for you to stay in the 10th and Minna why
[119:11]because that night 10th at night so the eve of the 11th
[119:21]Eve of 11 you need to stay in Minna for half the
[119:24]night half the night either from Madrid all the way till midnight
[119:33]or um or from Midnight to Fajr you need to stay in
[119:36]Minna that night okay and the the eve of The Twelve also
[119:42]once again you need to have mabit femina either from Maghrib to
[119:46]midnight or from midnight till Fajr so you should figure out what
[119:51]is easier for you if the if the slaughtering of the of
[119:55]the sheep is going to is taking a while then it's it's
[119:59]you don't have time to go back unless you go back and
[120:03]you come back for the second half of the night from at
[120:05]12 o'clock like at midnight Midnight you have to be in the
[120:12]borders of of mina until Fajr but typically what we do as
[120:15]if it's if they they they delayed the process of calling and
[120:19]they're saying you know we haven't slaughtered the Sheep yet you have
[120:22]to stay in minnow you can't leave you could leave but you'll
[120:26]still be in the state of Iran you could go back to
[120:30]Mecca to the hotel and then once they call you they tell
[120:32]you we did the slaughter for you then you go back the
[120:34]next day then you do the Hulk or the taksir so I
[120:39]think it's better that's what everybody yes but maybe you need this
[120:48]is where you need to arrange with someone to slaughter for you
[120:52]if they take a long time to slaughter maybe some people they're
[120:55]gonna Slaughter on the 12th on the 11th day so here you
[120:59]don't want to stay in Minna you're just you're just going to
[121:03]be in the state of Iran go back to the hotel go
[121:05]rest in the hotel um but what you need to do let
[121:10]me I'll give you the obligations in Minna and the obligations in
[121:18]Mecca you need to stay the 10th at night half the night
[121:21]either the first half or the second half and the 12th you
[121:25]also need to stay half the night can you go to the
[121:29]next slide please so and then go to the next slide and
[121:36]put it on the screen please yes they go to Minna day
[121:41]two and day three yes this one what is it yeah you
[121:53]go back to Mecca because you have you have two things that
[121:57]you need to do you have obligations in Minna and you have
[122:00]obligations in Makkah before during the time of the Prophet people they
[122:05]stayed the whole three days in Minna but you don't have time
[122:10]your your travel is soon so what we and you have access
[122:11]to a car so what we do is we do both at
[122:15]the same time we do the the laugh and the Sai and
[122:18]the talaf and we come back we stay the night and in
[122:21]the morning we do that on me but what needs to be
[122:23]done in Minna is on the tenth day you have the Rami
[122:26]okay and then the tenth at night you stay either half the
[122:31]night or the other half or you could stay the whole night
[122:33]if you want you're tired just sleep the whole night and in
[122:37]the morning the 11th day in the morning so the day after
[122:43]Eid you have Ramil jamarat this time three of them so after
[122:46]dawn after Fajr you do the small one and the middle one
[122:52]and the the big one and on the 12th day uh that
[122:54]night you also need to stay half the night or or the
[122:59]first half or the second half and then on the 12th day
[123:01]you also need to do the Rami of the jamarat the small
[123:08]the middle and the big then you wait in in Minna until
[123:10]noon time over so the part of Minna is done but now
[123:20]go can you go to the next slide please now you have
[123:24]the necessary acts to perform in Mecca so this you could do
[123:29]it whenever you want you could do it after the days and
[123:30]minutes are over or you could do it during so for example
[123:36]you're staying half the night you stayed from six to 12 to
[123:39]midnight from Maghrib to midnight then you say okay I have the
[123:44]energy now why should I stay here tomorrow morning I have to
[123:47]be back in Minna for the Rami but I'm going to go
[123:50]and do my tawaf I have to laugh to do so what
[123:54]do you need to do in Makkah you need to do Hajj
[123:57]so just like the um this one you have one tawafed this
[124:09]is prayer and then you do the sorry from Safa to marwa
[124:15]um you you keep going back seven times after you do the
[124:21]tawafel now you could put on cologne you could take a shower
[124:24]you could do all that so some people that they have Aid
[124:28]they're they're really tired they say you know what I'm just going
[124:30]to go and do that but they have to have slaughtered for
[124:34]you and you have to have done this then you could go
[124:38]take a shower you could go with your normal clothes then you
[124:41]need to do also you could do it the same day or
[124:47]you could do it the next day if you're too tired do
[124:48]it the next day the sunnis they call it the farewell but
[124:53]this what it does is it makes you mahram to your wife
[124:59]again so this is the most important thought of in your life
[125:01]I'm serious so here this um this is what you need to
[125:09]do then I just over yeah they both have to do it
[125:16]of course yes yes if they're both in the state of Iran
[125:19]yes yes you could do it in normal clothes is done in
[125:40]normal clothes the only talaf that you people do with the Haram
[125:46]is when you're entering no after you do the tuxed you're allowed
[125:51]to look at the mirror you're allowed to do wear normal clothes
[125:55]you can't do cleave you can't put on um you can't put
[126:00]on uh perfect scents uh you can't use shampoo that is scented
[126:06]and those go together you can't say I didn't I'm tired I'll
[126:11]do the side tomorrow they go together could be done later and
[126:16]once you do then marriage is allowed so so everything the 25
[126:22]things all most of them you could do after you do the
[126:26]taksir or the Hulk but the only thing that you cannot do
[126:32]is the the scent you do that that becomes acceptable after and
[126:37]the marriage is after Allah yes brother yes yes so this some
[126:48]people they have the energy on the day of Eid at night
[126:53]they they go and they spend half the night in the first
[126:58]half of the night in Minna they spend the night then they
[127:02]were resting and midnight you don't have to do anything you're sitting
[127:05]you sleep you do whatever it's not you don't need to be
[127:06]in a state of ibadah then what you do is um it
[127:11]became 12 it became midnight you say okay now let's go to
[127:15]Mecca let's go to Mecca you get in a taxi you go
[127:19]to Mecca you go do the Amal you go do the tawaf
[127:21]and the Sai and the tawaf and then you go to the
[127:25]hotel you sleep then um before noon you have to make sure
[127:30]the next day in the morning before noon you have to make
[127:31]sure you're in Minna to do that again yes and then that
[127:35]as well that night you need to spend half the night in
[127:41]Minna and then the 12th at noon you also do the Rami
[127:43]as well before noon but but at noon you leave Minna and
[127:49]hajjas over so these are the Hajj that's it um you have
[127:54]you there's one thing some Scholars they say if you could not
[128:00]stay half the night in Minna you have to spend the full
[128:03]night meaning all the way from Maghrib all the way to Fajr
[128:09]in the state of ibada and Makkah can you stay awake that
[128:12]whole time a lot of people they say yes I don't want
[128:16]to go to Minna it's too much and then they end up
[128:18]falling asleep so if you're gonna fall asleep fall asleep in Midnight
[128:21]don't fall asleep in Mecca and then that ends up you end
[128:27]up missing your mabit and and Minna so and you need to
[128:30]you just need to spend half the night in Milan yes yes
[128:33]sister yes yes when I say I mean seven show means one
[129:00]but when I say tawaf it means seven times around the Kaaba
[129:05]yes yes no no no so like as for the whole seven
[129:09]for ishta no should I midnight yeah Maghrib yes yes no only
[129:28]after so you do you're gonna do side twice during this trip
[129:32]one after the umrah and one after the um after the Hajj
[129:37]and then there's Dolphins you have you could do yes you have
[129:41]to do so we call it the Shia as we call it
[129:47]um the sunnis they call it it does the same thing it's
[129:53]what basically you're ending the Hajj with it yes of course because
[129:59]they have they could it's it's a it's but then they could
[130:03]they won't be able to get married yes even if you don't
[130:09]want to get married you still have to do it yes yes
[130:14]12th of the officially finishes in in Minna if you have not
[130:21]done your Amal of that you still have to do that typically
[130:24]most people they spend like a lot of the a lot of
[130:29]people they start doing the Amal after like but we usually we
[130:34]go and we do them in the middle you'll be done by
[130:42]12.
[130:43]most people most of the time you're you're done because you have
[130:46]from the 10th at night 11th at night and 12th at night
[130:51]that's three nights you could do that man you you could you
[130:53]could do them usually we do it if the first night we
[130:57]were tired we do it on the 12th then like the eve
[131:00]by the time of the rummy we're we're done the only problem
[131:02]this happens is if a lady cannot enter into Haram then she
[131:08]waits or she has someone go on her behalf and do it
[131:10]yes yeah no say A lady could do but the talab she
[131:18]cannot enter into yes inshallah you won't make mistakes I will um
[131:30]this presentation I will share it with you all inshallah and um
[131:34]we'll give you access to my number I won't be going so
[131:38]I'll be I'll give you access to my number WhatsApp anyone has
[131:41]any questions you have to ask you know this is not a
[131:46]place to do educated guesses it's okay inshallah yes no no the
[131:59]only rummy that you're going to do is the first one now
[132:03]if they did not do your liver for you then you're still
[132:05]in the state of Iran but you should try to this is
[132:11]something I can't help you with you have to figure out a
[132:13]group or someone that will do it for you of course over
[132:17]there they write there's like the government over there they'll tell you
[132:20]they'll tell you we'll do it but that one I wouldn't trust
[132:24]because yeah and the other thing is the the other here one-third
[132:34]of it you give it to the you give it to the
[132:38]poor one third of it you could eat it and one-third you
[132:40]give it to your friends now your part you say okay I
[132:44]don't want that part and your friend you find someone you tell
[132:47]him I'm gonna give it to you but you give up the
[132:51]hack on it but the poor that's one-third of the value that
[132:54]you're giving you need to find you a poor person you give
[132:58]him sadaqa after as well because you don't have access to the
[133:03]meat yes yes oh and all of the Hulk has to be
[133:10]done in Mina so you can't leave and then they call you
[133:13]they say we slaughtered and then you do it no you have
[133:17]to do it over there yeah so if you left because the
[133:20]the call was late and you had to go to the hotel
[133:21]then you come back the next day to do the Hulk and
[133:25]you're still in the state of yes yeah you could do yeah
[133:35]and uh tomato you have to you have to um you you
[133:43]do taxir and for the Hajj in most cases you have to
[133:46]do you have to shave now if some people are they have
[133:51]exception some people I don't know they follow their like which some
[133:55]Maharaja they say that if um you don't need you could do
[134:00]the tuxed might be enough but it's mustahab to do the get
[134:03]rid of the whole thing yeah you're already married you don't need
[134:11]to worry about a Hajj yes yes so the Messiah you know
[134:30]it's not inside there's a there's a door you you know you're
[134:32]in the massage there's like a wall between them um but when
[134:37]you enter into major Haram you'll know you're in the Masjid now
[134:41]yes outside you're not in the Masjid and once you enter the
[134:44]wall of the Masjid then you know you're you're in the Masjid
[134:46]it's something you have to be there to know I guess yeah
[134:52]okay jamaa prayer so you could pray mutaba meaning you follow along
[135:03]with them but your intention should be that you're doing mutaba you're
[135:08]not praying you follow along then you get the jama'ah but you
[135:11]need to recite the fatah and the other Surah yes yes okay
[135:24]um foreign
