[0:00]uh help us with the loud recitation of in the name of
[0:20]Allah the entirely merciful, the especially merciful.
[0:23]The one who has created and designed everything the utmost perfection.
[0:26]the one who created us all for a reason and a purpose.
[0:30]And may the may the peace and blessings of the almighty God
[0:35]be upon his beloved and pure messenger, the peak of his creation,
[0:39]the symbol of a humanity, the mercy to all the worlds, the
[0:44]holy prophet Muhammad Sam.
[0:53]Oh Allah subhana t said in the Quran speaking about how we
[0:59]can connect spiritually mentally to that perfect being the prophet when he
[1:04]told us and of Of course also the peace and blessings be
[1:22]upon the progeny of the prophet and of course the imam of
[1:29]our time the savior al mahi who prophet Muhammad peace be upon
[1:33]him told us about him when he said that the last one
[1:39]of my progeny his name is my name his kuna is my
[1:43]kuna and he will fill earth with justice and equity after it
[1:47]was filled with injustice and tyranny that waited Imam that when he
[1:52]appears he will remind us with the status and the character and
[1:55]the personality and the knowledge and wisdom and the leadership skills and
[2:01]the light of his grandfather the holy prophet Muhammad peace be upon
[2:06]him.
[2:04]Allah subhana wa ta'ala dear brothers and sisters when he wanted to
[2:13]describe the prophet he said we have sent you for one thing
[2:21]illah exception so we have sent you for one reason to be
[2:25]mercy to all mankind and is interesting the word mercy because mercy
[2:30]practically is when you go to someone lower than you mentally, spiritually,
[2:36]morally, educationally, and you try to lift them up.
[2:43]That's mercy.
[2:42]So, because the prophet is the perfect man and Allah send him
[2:47]down to all mankind, he's going down to lift them up.
[2:54]Take them out of darkness to light.
[3:02]If our youth just stay focused with mem If our youth just
[3:10]went to the books of history and read the habits of our
[3:14]ancestors, those who used to live in the Arabian Peninsula pre-Islamic era,
[3:20]they will understand what the prophet established.
[3:23]I believe Prophet Muhammad when he guided the nation, not just Islamic
[3:29]nation benefited from his teachings.
[3:33]I believe even the dark powers in this universe on this earth
[3:38]on this planet benefited from his teachings and they actually used his
[3:43]teachings but for the wrong reasons.
[3:44]Prophet Muhammad as a man one of his greatest establishments is Ali.
[3:51]Ali the one whom we follow is the student and the child
[3:57]and the one who was disciplined and raised by the prophet himself.
[4:01]So all these great figures in Islamic history, their light goes back
[4:07]to the source which is the prophet himself.
[4:14]Sallallam he was that mercy in his presence.
[4:17]Allahh gave two description for the prophet in the Quran.
[4:23]We have sent you as a mercy to all mankind.
[4:28]And oh prophet, you are of a great moral character.
[4:33]The moral character is why Islam was sent.
[4:38]We pray, we fast, we go to Hajj, we go to zara,
[4:44]we follow these rituals to discipline this character.
[4:48]The conclusion of why we follow Islam is to have a great
[4:53]moral character.
[4:55]Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him taught us that.
[4:56]Do not look at how many units of prayer they actually pray.
[5:03]Don't look at how many days of fasting they fast.
[5:10]Do not examine or evaluate them based on them praying at night.
[5:15]But look at honesty and trustworthiness.
[5:18]Because that prayer has to actually in a way guide my tongue,
[5:25]my mind, my heart.
[5:26]And they all revolve around mercy.
[5:31]When you have mercy, you're honest.
[5:34]When you have mercy, you will be trustworthy.
[5:37]You will be entrusted and you will keep that trust.
[5:38]When you have mercy, you're kind.
[5:41]When you have mercy, you have empathy.
[5:44]When you have mercy, you care about others.
[5:47]You feed others.
[5:49]You support others.
[5:49]When you have mercy, you have unity in your understanding of society.
[5:55]They all revolve around mercy.
[5:58]When you have mercy, you actually like to educate and help and
[6:02]raise and teach.
[6:04]They all revolve around mercy.
[6:05]You care about the human being.
[6:08]You will love humans because of mercy.
[6:11]And that's why everything revolves around mercy.
[6:14]Allahhana ta said, Allah when he created the creation, he wrought on
[6:24]himself mercy.
[6:26]He will judge by mercy.
[6:27]He created by mercy.
[6:30]He fed by mercy and he created us and raised us and
[6:33]nurtured us because of mercy.
[6:37]Zam he used to tell Allahh.
[6:44]Oh Allah, treat me with your mercy, not with your justice.
[6:50]It's interesting story.
[6:50]A person near the cabba, he said, "Oh Allah, if you judge
[6:55]me, I will judge you." The Muslims, they heard that statement coming
[6:59]from that old man, they were shocked.
[7:01]They wanted to go.
[7:04]They said, "This person is an unbeliever what he's doing near the
[7:06]Cabba." And they wanted in a sense on another to discipline that
[7:09]individual.
[7:10]The prophet told him, "Calm down." And then he went asking him,
[7:14]"What did you mean by your statement, oh man?" He said, "I
[7:18]told Allah, if you judge me with your justice, I will judge
[7:23]you by your mercy." In this understanding of God, Islam will be
[7:29]the religion of mercy.
[7:29]Muhammad will be the messenger of mercy.
[7:32]Ali will be the imam of mercy.
[7:34]Quran will be the book of mercy.
[7:36]The Muslim will be a merciful energy on this planet.
[7:41]And that's how we think.
[7:42]That's how we act.
[7:45]That's why Allah of nations are taking advantage of us.
[7:47]They are taking advantage of that mercy when they use evil tactics
[7:53]with us and they lie to us and we are honest with
[7:56]them.
[7:56]Let me be honest and firm and straightforward with them.
[8:00]I don't worry when I deal with Muslims.
[8:04]I know internally they are honest individuals when it comes to their
[8:08]relationship with you because prophet Muhammad disciplined them to be honest and
[8:12]trustworthy and when they say a word they mean it.
[8:16]I have an issue with the in a way non-believers or those
[8:22]who are materialistic.
[8:22]They don't believe in the afterlife because their relationship with you will
[8:28]be based on interest and materialism and etc of what we call
[8:32]about this realm.
[8:35]Prophet Muhammad was mercy in his presence.
[8:37]And let me give you examples from the Quran.
[8:41]People of no they disobeyed the prophet.
[8:44]They all drowned by the flood.
[8:46]Prophet Hood they disobeyed their messenger and they were destroyed by the
[8:51]violent wind.
[8:52]Prophet Salah they also in a way killed the camel and they
[8:57]disobeyed him.
[8:59]So they were punished and the prophet called Allah subhana ta and
[9:03]they were annihilated by the mighty scream.
[9:06]People of loot their city overturned but the ummah of Muhammad that
[9:17]harmed him the most.
[9:15]Prophet Muhammad he said there is no prophet there is no messenger
[9:22]from the 124,000 prophet that was hurt more than me that was
[9:30]harmed more than me and the prophet never he raised his hands
[9:33]asking God to punish his people look the level of mercy of
[9:37]that prophet and I will share some examples but Iban Abbas one
[9:43]of the prominent scholars in the Islamic history.
[9:46]He said he sall was a mercy to all people.
[9:54]Believers found happiness following him and even non-believers were spurred from punishments
[9:58]like drowning or being swallowed by the earth.
[10:05]Im Ali didn't say we had amanan we had two sources of
[10:15]protection.
[10:11]We had two sources of protection the first the first source of
[10:24]security dear sisters was the prophet himself his presence you know when
[10:29]we say someone's presence is baraka you know when we have baraka
[10:33]in our society we have scholars who are baraka to the nation
[10:40]when we lose them we feel that gap reveal that emptiness.
[10:43]Imam Saddak Alisam didn't he say when a scholar dies he will
[10:50]leave an empty gap after him until judgment day and there is
[10:53]a scholars that they unreplaceable you can't replace these figures give you
[10:58]an example anyone can replace sistani is there a figure that is
[11:06]able to replace that great grand scholar that we have in the
[11:09]shia school of thought and there is tens of names true we
[11:14]have individuals we felt the weight was lifted after they departed and
[11:20]they actually affected the entire Islamic nation was affected after they departed.
[11:25]The prophet he was a source of security and protection there we
[11:33]had prophet Muhammad and seeking repentance.
[11:37]Allah lifted the prophet but left the the deniers.
[11:55]Now many individuals if someone told you no or disobeyed you, rejected
[12:01]you, you take it personal.
[12:06]The prophet never he did that in Mecca.
[12:08]He was stoned until he bled.
[12:11]Say the khadijah, that loyal lady that Islam was established because of
[12:16]her.
[12:17]She was wiping his blood, fixing his clothes, taking care of his
[12:21]wounds.
[12:22]And she noticed that the prophet is not letting the blood fall
[12:25]into the ground.
[12:26]She told him, "Let the blood fall.
[12:30]Let let it fall normally." He said, "I'm afraid when my blood
[12:34]hit the ground, the lord of the ground will be angry on
[12:40]its people in they he was harmed by people.
[12:43]He said, "Oh Allah, guide my people because they don't know." When
[12:49]he was traveling, he was stoned as well.
[12:52]An angel came from the sky.
[12:56]He told him, "Oh prophet of God, just raise your hand.
[12:58]Pray and see what we'll do to them." Imagine angels were getting
[13:04]in a sense intellectually harmed because of what they were witnessing happening
[13:10]to that messenger of Allah who is the most beloved by Allah
[13:13]subhana tala.
[13:14]He said look what a statement that it must be written in
[13:18]golden color and placed somewhere here.
[13:21]He said, "I hope that Allah will bring believers from their descendants."
[13:28]Even if Allah will not guide them, but I have hope that
[13:34]Allah will guide their progeny.
[13:34]Prophet Muhammad, he is the one who sent who said that Allah
[13:40]sent me to the old and the youth.
[13:43]The youth followed me but the old rejected me.
[13:45]Prophet Muhammad, he was aiming for the young ones.
[13:49]Yeah.
[13:50]Please dear community of Toledo, we understand Allahh will judge everyone based
[13:56]on their individual capacity and ability.
[13:58]This mosque, this school, this gym, these beautiful youth standing on this
[14:05]podium reciting poem, sharing their love to the prophet and reciting a
[14:10]hadith from the prophet.
[14:13]Yeah.
[14:13]I mean, we have two wings.
[14:15]We have the Quran that was recited in the beginning and we
[14:17]have the narrations of the other wing the sunnah.
[14:21]We have generation will come the most educated.
[14:25]I believe that this generation is the generation of al- mai.
[14:29]May Allah hasten his reappearance because who's becoming religious among them?
[14:35]They are genuinely truly honestly religious because we're living in a time
[14:41]that the human can do anything.
[14:45]True.
[14:44]Why they are sticking to their religion?
[14:46]Because they love it.
[14:49]Because they are convinced that generation that Imam Mi will rely on.
[14:54]That generation that proved that they loved Islam and they loved the
[14:58]prophet and they love to actually follow this religion that will free
[15:02]them and will empower them.
[15:08]Islam empower people.
[15:07]Islam free people.
[15:11]We're not enslaved by religion.
[15:13]Religion frees me from following the wrong ideologies and the wrong way
[15:18]of living and the wrong school of thoughts.
[15:20]If you did not make your children religious, they will go mimic
[15:27]and imitate singers and actors that majority of them are atheists.
[15:31]So don't think if you don't make them religious, you're freeing them.
[15:38]You're enslaving them to other ways of living.
[15:39]Unfortunately, Prophet Muhammad had mercy to the people of the book.
[15:48]And this is very interesting point that actually relate to all of
[15:51]us living in the west among a lot of different religions and
[15:55]school of thoughts.
[15:57]In the Quran, Allahh gave us an equation.
[15:59]Please focus with me.
[16:02]I need full attention after Prophet Muhammad was the most educated knowledgeable
[16:13]being ever.
[16:16]He understand the human psychology and understand our behavior more than we
[16:23]understand our own selves.
[16:22]Allahh in the Quran when he said he sent a prophet among
[16:32]themselves he understand them more than they understand themselves.
[16:37]Prophet Muhammad knew that in sociology in human behavior the human being
[16:43]after the age of 25 30 until 40 it's very hard for
[16:49]us to change their ideology or their belief system or their ways.
[16:53]Our role is not to make the entire world Muslims like us.
[16:59]There is no verse in the Quran Allah is telling us go
[17:05]turn the entire world to become what?
[17:07]Muslims like you.
[17:07]There is nothing like that.
[17:07]Yes.
[17:10]Allah said Islam.
[17:11]Islam is the true way of living.
[17:14]Now me and you, Allah blessed us.
[17:20]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala he gifted us Islam from birth.
[17:22]This is a gift that we must thank Allah subhana ta for
[17:26]it.
[17:27]But at the end we are realistic.
[17:29]Allah is realistic.
[17:29]Quran is realistic book.
[17:31]Prophet Muhammad is a realistic human.
[17:33]He understood that the human at the age of 25 to 40,
[17:38]the more the human grow, the harder it becomes for you to
[17:45]change their beliefs.
[17:44]So what do we do?
[17:48]We have enmity toward them.
[17:48]We consider them God forbid enemies.
[17:51]Allahh said no.
[17:53]He said that all the followers of the people of the book
[17:59]are religious if they followed the real teachings of their books.
[18:04]Do you know there's a study were made that the easiest religion
[18:08]to become religious in following it is Islam.
[18:12]Islam is the simplest and the easiest religion to be religious in
[18:18]if you want to follow the true Christianity is harder than Islam.
[18:22]If you want to follow the teachings of the truth, Judaism is
[18:25]harder than Islam.
[18:30]Islam is is easy, simple.
[18:34]There is no pressure in religion.
[18:38]Islam came to remove the burdens from the human being, not to
[18:42]add obstacles.
[18:42]Now when we understood this fact, Allah told me and you, I
[18:48]created them, I know them, I have a special way to judge
[18:50]them.
[18:51]do not judge them.
[18:54]He told us do not judge any human being.
[18:56]At the end I was born raised in a different environment.
[18:59]I had different teachers.
[19:03]I had different school, different friends, different individuals I interacted with that
[19:07]they formed this character standing before you.
[19:10]Can you apply that on every human being?
[19:13]Can I now myself I want the entire world to be like
[19:18]me?
[19:19]That's the highest level of selfishness and narcissism.
[19:22]Mercy that I'm talking about tonight is treating everyone based on their
[19:28]individual capacity and ability.
[19:33]Mercy is to give excuses for others.
[19:36]Mercy is to take the benefit of the doubt.
[19:40]Mercy is to try to create excuse based on the past of
[19:42]that human being.
[19:44]You don't know the past of people.
[19:46]Not because someone is sinning now in front of me then I
[19:48]will go and judge him and say he's going to hell.
[19:52]We don't have keys for paradise and I don't have free tickets
[19:59]to free you from hell.
[19:59]No one claimed that and no one is able to give that.
[20:05]Even Imam Saddakam and Prophet Muhammad himself they said there is no
[20:11]relationship between Allah and anyone.
[20:12]you obey Allah and you are pious and you follow Allah and
[20:15]you follow the teachings that I said to you then Allah will
[20:20]love you and treat you with a special mercy and he will
[20:22]allow us to intercede for you after life intercession is not for
[20:30]free not because just I love emotionally I'm fully saved I must
[20:35]follow I must follow the footsteps you didn't notice that Allah subhana
[20:39]wa ta'ala in the Quran on he said mercy for free but
[20:45]love is not in a way by creation is given mercy is
[20:48]given by creation but love prophet Muhammad said if you loved Allah
[20:59]truly follow me Allah will love you after you follow the teachings
[21:09]of the prophet himself.
[21:12]Now Allah look what the verse he said in the Quran.
[21:14]Indeed those who have believed and those who were Jews, Christians and
[21:19]sibians, listen to the characteristics who believed in Allah and the last
[21:27]day and does righteousness will have their reward with their Lord.
[21:30]They will have their reward with the Lord and there is no
[21:37]fear will there be concerning them nor will they grieve nor will
[21:42]they will become sad.
[21:44]So now if I'm in this age, I had a Christian close
[21:46]to my age and he didn't ask me about my belief and
[21:51]it's hard for him to change.
[21:52]I will let him.
[21:55]Okay, let us compete.
[21:56]Who will do more righteousness on this planet?
[21:58]Let me show you that the power of Muhammad plus Jesus plus
[22:06]Moses in my book.
[22:05]I will show you a greater light than what you will show.
[22:13]It's a competition between religions who will do more righteousness.
[22:17]That's why now now when there's oppression, I don't speak about the
[22:24]oppression in Gaza because I'm a Muslim.
[22:26]I do not speak about the oppression in Gaza because I'm a
[22:31]Muslim.
[22:32]Because in my mercy, I'm not just biased to Muslims.
[22:36]I speak about oppression everywhere.
[22:38]Well, I don't care who is the oppressor.
[22:41]if he's a so-called Muslim or so-called Christian or so-called Jew.
[22:45]I said so-called.
[22:46]Why I said so-called because I believe that the true Jew, the
[22:51]true Christian, the true Muslim will never oppress people like that in
[22:55]my humble understanding.
[22:55]And I believe there's a lot of hypocrites on this planet that
[22:58]they are using the messages those merciful messages those merciful messengers and
[23:05]they are using them for political gains and for money and fame
[23:09]and power they don't really represent these prophets because if Allah send
[23:17]the Messiah the savior and he sent Jesus the savior and he
[23:20]sent al- mai who will work with Jesus the saviors they will
[23:25]never allah allow what's going on in Middle East to continue happening
[23:29]and they will curse every oppressor breathing on this planet.
[23:38]>> And for that for that reason, Prophet Muhammad peace be upon
[23:43]him, he had mercy to those who are mentally oppressed.
[23:46]You know, yes, physically, economically, financially, people in Middle East are oppressed.
[23:52]But I want to ask you a question.
[23:55]When majority of people in this country they don't know God and
[24:01]they don't know anything about afterlife and they weren't educated about how
[24:07]they prepare for their everlasting life after this dunya that's not mentally
[24:13]oppression.
[24:12]Those unfortunately who's having those poor schooling and poor curriculums and there's
[24:20]some sort of systemic oppression happening on certain individuals to keep them
[24:24]ignorant to keep them unempowered to keep them low to keep them
[24:31]poor.
[24:31]That's not oppression.
[24:32]As an individual, I believe the highest form of oppression is not
[24:37]killing a human is killing the mind of the human being.
[24:43]Is actually removing all the sources that can maximize the mental potential
[24:49]of that human being to understand existence.
[24:51]That's a higher level of pressure that killing a human because we
[24:55]believe those individuals who are being killed, they will go to paradise.
[25:01]Allah will compensate them.
[25:01]But if you're killing someone who's still breathing, his mind is off.
[25:06]Imm Ali Alisam, the student of the prophet, the one who was
[25:10]nurtured and guided by the prophet, the miracle of the prophet Ali,
[25:16]he said that an ignorant person is dead but still walking.
[25:21]He's dead but still walking.
[25:22]And someone who's knowledgeable, he's alive even if he was physically dead.
[25:28]True.
[25:29]Who's alive?
[25:31]Hussein or Yazid?
[25:32]Who's alive?
[25:34]Those who served the school of thought of B or those who
[25:40]actually oppress the school of thought of I believe anyone who invest
[25:47]invest his life energy services toward Muhammad Al Muhammad will never die.
[25:51][Music] That's why the prophet said oppression will be a darkness upon
[26:03]darkness on the day of a judgment.
[26:04]He said beware of the supplication of the oppressed for there is
[26:07]no barrier between it and Allah.
[26:11]He said the most detested of people to Allah is the tyrannic
[26:16]ruler.
[26:17]Prophet Muhammad said help your brother whether he's an oppressed or oppressor.
[26:22]They said okay we will help them if they oppressed.
[26:23]But how we help our brother if he was an oppressor?
[26:29]He said enjoying what is good to them and forbid what is
[26:31]evil.
[26:32]If I consider, please listen to this.
[26:34]If I consider the people of the book my brothers and sisters
[26:40]in believing in God judgment day and do righteous deeds, then when
[26:43]I will send a message to Natanyahu trying to enjoin what is
[26:47]good, forbid what is evil is not a personal message.
[26:50]It's not a personal message.
[26:53]It's a message from Moses.
[26:54]It's a message from Jesus.
[26:55]I'm reminding him about the message of the messengers of Allah.
[27:01]It's not personal.
[27:01]I don't hate him as a person.
[27:02]But I have an issue with his oppression and the way he
[27:07]think and his lifestyle and the oppression he's causing to the people.
[27:12]We don't take anything personal with just an energy.
[27:14]We will all die one day.
[27:17]We believe in the everlasting life is the afterlife.
[27:19]That's what all the messenger of Allah taught us.
[27:23]Prophet Muhammad said, "Allah prolongs the life of the oppressor, but when
[27:27]he seizes him, he does not let him escape." Finally, finally, Prophet
[27:35]Muhammad taught us mercy toward our families and our children.
[27:38]He said when the prophet heard the child crying, he prayed faster
[27:46]so the child can be calmed down.
[27:48]The prophet Muhammad understood that the way to become closer to Allah
[27:52]is to serve his creation.
[27:52]And the priority in your services has to go to your spouses
[27:59]and children.
[27:57]Dear husbands, if you served all mankind but you did not serve
[28:05]your wives, Allah will not accept that from you.
[28:09]If you served all the children of mankind and you did not
[28:11]put energy to serve your own children, Allah will never accept from
[28:14]you.
[28:15]There's a priorities in what?
[28:18]In our mercy and services.
[28:19]Prophet Muhammad said, "I have the companion of the prophet said, I
[28:24]have not seen anyone more merciful to children than the messenger of
[28:29]Allah." The prophet said, "A daughter in the house is a mercy."
[28:32]He said, "Love your children and be merciful to them." The prophet
[28:36]said, "Whoever kisses their child, Allah will record a good deed for
[28:41]him." Now someone can tell me she it's obvious that we kiss
[28:46]our children.
[28:48]Yeah, in pre-Islamic era someone came to the prophet and told him
[28:51]I have 10 children.
[28:50]I never kissed one of them.
[28:55]The prophet looked at him.
[28:55]He said who does not give mercy will never earn mercy from
[29:01]him.
[29:00]How what hardheartedness caused what caused hard-heartedness to your heart?
[29:10]Finally, Prophet Muhammad, he said he was the best in shaking the
[29:14]hands of children and he worked finally to protect the pure instinct
[29:23]of our children.
[29:23]Dear parents, Allah creates our children fully pure oned programmed by Allah
[29:32]subhana wa ta'ala to strive to perfection.
[29:34]If God forbid they were corrupted, you will be questioned on judgment
[29:39]day to finalize just with a practical lesson from the prophet.
[29:46]If our children got corrupted, we will be blamed.
[29:48]Not the society, not the schools, not the environment.
[29:53]We have to work hard to provide resources for them.
[29:55]And that's why the programs for our youth, they exist in this
[30:00]center.
[30:01]There is no excuse for me to not convince my child to
[30:03]come here.
[30:04]It's just an hour and a half once a month for our
[30:08]children to be able to be educated inshallah.
[30:11]We have online programs as well.
[30:14]They are going at weekly level.
[30:15]But please, we have to preserve the identity and we have to
[30:19]teach our children that the greatest blessing that we have is that
[30:22]we are born and raised knowing that Muhammad isool Allah who is
[30:32]still a mercy until today when he said who visits me in
[30:37]Mecca I will visit him at the time of his death and
[30:41]I will save him on judgment day.
[30:43]And that prophet, please listen to this.
[30:47]That prophet Gibbrael told him, "Oh Muhammad, let me explain to you
[30:51]what will happen on judgment day." He said, "After all the people
[30:54]are resurrected and they stand for these thousands of years pledging and
[31:00]and and and in a way begging for mercy.
[31:04]Everyone there will be shouting oh lord myself and myself and you
[31:09]oh Muhammad you will be saying oh lord my nation my nationham
[31:30]inshallah Muhammad Ali.
