[0:04]are you ready okay just say hello okay go ahead muhamad we
[0:42]are in the third session of the um the first session we
[0:50]covered the Salah and what and we explained what the are the
[0:53]branches of the faith and in the second session what did we
[0:57]talk about fasting and what are we going to talk about today
[1:04]the Haj okay so the Haj is one of the meaning one
[1:09]of the branches of the faith and it is one of the
[1:12]obligations upon every Muslim upon every capable Muslim they have the religious
[1:20]obligation to perform the pilgrimage the Hajj at one point in their
[1:25]life and one time is enough and Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala speaks about
[1:31]the Hajj in several verses in the Quran of course what is
[1:38]in the Hajj the Haj you go to Mecca the city of
[1:43]Mecca and that was the birthplace of and the birthplace of Islam
[1:49]and that was also the place where it has the first place
[1:52]of worship on Earth what is the name of that place the
[1:58]Kaa and M that is the first place of worship built by
[2:03]who built by Prophet ibraim Allah says in the [Music] Quran the
[2:17]first place of worship that Allah subhana wa tala placed on Earth
[2:21]before any Temple before any church before any was the and this
[2:28]was a place of monotheism from when you enter there's the and
[2:39]then there's something else called M ibraim that is where ibraim stood
[2:43]I'll show you a picture of it in the upcoming slides in
[2:47]it has the footprints of ibraim because ibraim was standing on a
[2:51]rock and it would be lifted and he would build the Kaa
[2:56]as it was lifted and then Allah says whoever enters in should
[3:09]feel a sense of security a sense of safety it's a sanctuary
[3:13]and this is why one of the rules of M Alam is
[3:17]that it is Haram it is forbidden to fight it is forbidden
[3:24]to kill it is forbidden to even hurt animals and insects or
[3:27]whatever it is or take out a a piece of grass out
[3:35]of the ground that's it this everything is safe inside then Allah
[3:46]subhana says in the Quran and it is incumbent upon people to
[3:51]perform the Haj for whoever is capable so let's go to the
[3:59]next slide so remember we were talking about please please mute your
[4:04]those on Zoom please mute yourselves you whoever is on Zoom please
[4:13]mute yourself let me see okay so the conditions what what are
[4:32]the conditions of obligation what are the conditions of obligation that is
[4:39]what what makes it waj when does when does the Hajj become
[4:43]waj upon a person so what was the first condition that we
[4:51]talked about regarding any act of worship being mature is one but
[4:59]we mentioned one one step before or what was it Nia is
[5:04]also one but there's something else number one on the slide what
[5:08]is it or say or two SE separate you mean yes the
[5:17]first condition for Allah subhana tala holding anyone accountable is that their
[5:24]mind and their intellect has to understand does Allah subhana tala make
[5:28]something waj upon an animal no because they don't have the does
[5:31]Allah make something waj upon someone who has lost their mind no
[5:37]this is why can I pray if I'm drunk for example can
[5:41]can someone pray when they're drunk no you cannot Pray when you're
[5:46]drunk so here you see that you see that there are there
[5:54]are um conditions there are conditions for the obligation and the first
[6:00]is is that a person has to have sanity you have to
[6:06]have the the second you have to have the the puberty the
[6:10]Allah subhana wa tala does not make something waj Upon a Child
[6:17]someone who is not B once you become B once you reach
[6:20]the age of maturity then everything becomes and that is puberty and
[6:28]we already explained when is the age of bul for boys and
[6:31]when is the age of for girls another condition for the Haj
[6:38]is freedom so in the past there used to be slaves if
[6:43]someone is a slave is Hajj waj upon them no Hajj is
[6:47]not waj upon them just like in when we were talking about
[6:49]fasting Hajj is not W upon someone who's sick or some excuse
[6:54]me fasting is not waj upon someone who's sick or fasting or
[6:58]traveling so there are are specic there are some conditions there are
[7:04]some conditions that apply to everything for example sanity and applies to
[7:09]every every obligation but there are some other conditions that apply to
[7:16]other things for example if I'm traveling does my Salah become do
[7:20]I still need to pray yes if I'm traveling or or if
[7:26]I'm sick do I still need to pray yes now if I
[7:28]can't stand I sit and pray pray however when it comes to
[7:33]fasting if I'm sick is fasting still W upon me no if
[7:39]I'm traveling no so same with Haj the sanity and the puberty
[7:42]and The Bu applies however there are other conditions that also need
[7:46]to apply one of them is freedom a person needs to be
[7:51]free and from amongst the conditions the most important conditions for a
[7:57]person which a lot of people they're B they're sane and they're
[8:00]free but Haj is not waj upon them why not because they
[8:06]do not have they don't have the ability the capability to go
[8:09]and perform the Hajj so say for example I had the sanity
[8:16]I had the and the puberty and the freedom and all of
[8:19]that but I don't have money to go to Hajj is hajaj
[8:24]upon me H is not W say I do have the money
[8:29]but I don't have a p to go to Haj I'm living
[8:32]in a country or I'm living in a place where I'm not
[8:34]allowed to travel like during Co for example during covid no one
[8:40]was able to travel or right now for example you see the
[8:42]people who are living in Gaza they're unable to leave that's it
[8:46]they're in an open air prison so if you are even if
[8:51]you have all the money in the world but if you can't
[8:54]travel you can't take yourself there then you do not have the
[9:00]capability to go and perform the so the and Allah says in
[9:04]the Quran is only W upon the one who has the capability
[9:13]this is other than the sanity and the and the freedom now
[9:19]you need to have the capability the ability to travel you need
[9:24]to be able to take your get yourself there you need to
[9:29]have no Financial restriction no Health restrictions say I don't have any
[9:31]Financial restrictions and I have a passport but I have health restrictions
[9:36]I cannot get on a plane I can't travel Hajj doesn't become
[9:40]waj upon me and no legal restrictions so out of the 1.5
[9:48]1.6 billion Muslims how many Muslims do you think could afford the
[9:53]Hajj right now so does that mean the Haj is waj upon
[9:55]every Muslim no it's not W just like fasting is not W
[10:01]upon every Muslim there are those who are sick there are those
[10:03]who have diseases that do not allow them to that do not
[10:07]allow them to fast there are those who are not qualified to
[10:11]go and perform the Haj soj Hajj is not W on them
[10:15]that's it now they could go to they could do anything else
[10:17]but Haj is not W on them however there's one very important
[10:23]question say right now I don't have money and I don't or
[10:27]I don't have the health I don't have the means to go
[10:31]to Hajj but last year I had the money I had the
[10:33]health I had no restrictions nothing and I was B and I
[10:40]had the sanity Hajj became W on me last year this year
[10:44]I lost the this year I don't have the capability and the
[10:47]means to go to Hajj is Hajj still W on me yes
[10:52]because last year it became waj on me and I chose not
[10:57]to go if last year it became wag on me and I
[11:01]chose not to go once it becomes waj then it remains waj
[11:03]it was my responsibility and my duty I didn't have any excuse
[11:07]not to go to Hajj I had the money I had the
[11:10]power I had the means I had everything I chose not to
[11:12]go to Hajj once Hajj becomes wag on a person it remains
[11:17]waj on that person and if a person does not perform the
[11:20]Hajj then there is it's as if this person has not performed
[11:27]something that is wag on them something that is obligatory upon them
[11:31]when is the Hajj performed the Hajj is performed only at a
[11:38]specific time of the year H just like the month of Ramadan
[11:43]we fast during the month of Ramadan can I fast during for
[11:45]example say I want to do my waj fast during sha during
[11:50]during no Ramadan is the month that is for fasting the 12th
[11:57]Islamic month is the month for perform performing the Haj so Hajj
[12:02]is also a seasonal thing it's not a oh now I have
[12:06]the money I have the means and I'm going to go and
[12:09]perform the ha so what do you call it when a person
[12:10]goes to mecah and does around the Kaa but not during the
[12:16]Haj season what is that called that is called when can you
[12:22]perform you could perform om anytime anytime you could perform the omra
[12:28]however if you go during the season of the Hajj and you
[12:32]stay there and you perform the Hajj and you have the financial
[12:35]means and capability then you have done your Islam you have done
[12:42]the Hajj that is waj upon every Muslim one Hajj that is
[12:46]waj upon every muslim okay if someone goes to Hajj but they
[12:52]didn't have the money they borrowed money to go to Hajj or
[12:56]they didn't have the financial means they didn't have the health means
[13:00]or they went in a legal way they they they kind of
[13:04]did something they they did they broke the law and they snuck
[13:06]themselves in there now not talking about current circumstances because now they're
[13:14]they put a lot of difficult circumstances but say for example I
[13:18]I went to Hajj and I borrowed money and I went to
[13:23]Hajj does that count as my Haj to Islam No it does
[13:27]not count on as Islam unless someone gave me the money unless
[13:32]they gave me ownership of the money now I become now I
[13:36]could go to Haj but say I'm working 9 to5 I'm struggling
[13:41]I have a mortgage I have payments I have bills and I
[13:43]go and I borrow money I put myself in more debt to
[13:46]go to that's not accepted as the Islam later on if I
[13:49]become I still have to go tolam yes so I the person
[13:58]has to have given it to me give it to me and
[14:02]given me ownership to go to Haj and sometimes this happens because
[14:05]right now one of the issues like for example sayani he says
[14:09]if you have a mortgage that means I'm mun that means I
[14:13]have a loan I have to give I have to give the
[14:19]bank $100,000 $200,000 so the money that I that I have right
[14:23]now is less than what I owe so that means I'm in
[14:28]debt so Haj is not W on me unless say for example
[14:33]I'm in this situation and someone comes and hands me hands me
[14:38]$10,000 and he tells me I'm giving this to you to go
[14:43]to ha a lot this time this could happen maybe a husband
[14:45]gives his wife and a wife gives her husband that that way
[14:50]they both could go to Hajj so so once it's given to
[14:53]you it's given to you you have ownership of it and they
[14:57]tell you this is for the Hajj then you could go this
[14:58]is kind of like a loophole because they say you have to
[15:02]have the to go to and if you don't have the then
[15:07]is not W upon you unless it became W before before you
[15:10]became mun before you became uh indebted okay any questions regarding what
[15:19]has been said so far yes mam then then the right before
[15:40]before you submit the application you have to have the money if
[15:42]you if you had the money and then the money went because
[15:46]when you had the money it wasn't time to go to Hajj
[15:47]so you have to have the money and the means and the
[15:52]capability at the time of going to Hajj say I had the
[15:55]hajes in the 12th month of the year say I had the
[15:56]money in January and then I lost it all by February I
[16:00]lost it all by March I had the health but I lost
[16:04]it so once the season of Hajj comes you look at how
[16:06]much money you have in your bank account how much you have
[16:10]your health are there any legal restrictions are there anything then you'll
[16:13]know that hjj was waj on you and everyone knows for themselves
[16:16]okay so let's go to the next slide please okay so what
[16:22]happens to those who do not perform the Hajj there are several
[16:26]narrations there are several narrations from from the IMs of the that
[16:31]talk about the importance and how W it is there a lot
[16:38]of Muslims unfortunately those who are able to go to Hajj they
[16:40]take it lightly they say no no no let me go and
[16:43]we're going to spend this much money going on vacation we're going
[16:48]to fix up our house we're going to do this and we're
[16:49]going to do that and they put off the Hajj they put
[16:53]off the Hajj and there's this culture inshallah you guys don't have
[16:56]that that a lot of people they think when do I go
[17:01]to Hajj I go to Hajj when I become old when I
[17:04]become in my 60s and 70s that's when I go to H
[17:08]that's when my life changes that's when I get closer to Allah
[17:10]that's a very wrong thinking first of all it's wrong because it's
[17:17]wrong because when Hajj becomes waj on you you have to go
[17:20]you shouldn't delay something that's waj and second Haj is very it
[17:25]it requires work your body you put your body you have to
[17:28]walk you have to hike you have to do do the TA
[17:31]you have to do the there's a lot of physical work that
[17:34]is required if you don't have the health you're going to hurt
[17:38]yourself and you're going to be a burden upon others so try
[17:40]to go when you're young try to go when you're able to
[17:45]the says the one who purposely pushes the Hajj back pushes it
[18:00]off purposely this person's able to go no excuse whatsoever sometimes for
[18:06]example a mother she has her children she can't leave her children
[18:12]who's she going to leave her children with or the the father
[18:15]he has the money but he's working and the job won't let
[18:20]him have time off they tell him if you go if you
[18:21]leave your job right now to go to Hajj we're going to
[18:25]fire you he's not required to put himself in a financial distress
[18:28]but say for example someone they had no excuse whatsoever and every
[18:32]year they travel they have the money they spend they go everywhere
[18:37]but when it comes to this they say no no no I
[18:38]don't want to do it this is called Tas meaning they say
[18:43]sofa next year next year next year next year and I know
[18:47]a lot of people like that I know a lot of people
[18:48]I tell them why don't you go to Hajj they say next
[18:51]year inshallah next year I'm really counting on it the next year
[18:54]comes they something comes up and the next year something comes up
[18:59]and then there are other people that try to go but their
[19:01]name doesn't come up that is also this does not apply to
[19:06]them this applies to those who purposely reject and ignore and do
[19:09]not try says the one who keeps saying I will go to
[19:16]Hajj later until they and they end up dying and they have
[19:19]not gone to Hajj on the day of judgment this person will
[19:27]be resurrected as a Jew or a Christian this is the Hadith
[19:33]of the Prophet why because Haj is something that's unique to Islam
[19:38]and Muslims Jews and Christians do they pray yes do they fast
[19:45]yes do they give charity yes do they go to Hajj no
[19:47]they don't go to Hajj Hajj is exclusive for Muslims so this
[19:52]is why there's an insistence on going to Hajj and it's a
[19:56]sign of Islam it's a sign for Muslims this is one another
[20:01]Hadith from IM he says the one who does not go to
[20:13]Hajj because of some worldly issue oh I have a business deal
[20:15]I have this thing here and there I'm going to make money
[20:18]I'm going to make this deal IM Ali says you're you're not
[20:24]going to get what you want until you see the come back
[20:26]and they have shaved their head because the the men the men
[20:32]that go the first time to Hajj Adam what do they have
[20:35]to do what do they have to do jaad what do they
[20:44]have to do they have to shave their head right so the
[20:50]he says they those who do not go to Hajj because of
[20:52]some worldly issue they delay it because of some worldly issue their
[20:55]worldly issue is not going to get taken care of until they
[21:00]see the until they see the the boys and the men that
[21:05]have come back shaving their head do women shave their head no
[21:08]this is not Hollywood or you know so women don't shave their
[21:15]head they just cut a little bit of it okay in another
[21:24]tells says 10 from the Muslims from this um they have done
[21:29]they have done blasphemy in God he mentioned several of them and
[21:34]the last one is the one who's able to go to Hajj
[21:41]they had no issue but they died and they have not performed
[21:43]the ha so let's go to the next slide please the philosophy
[21:49]of the Haj one the from amongst the philosophies the reasons of
[21:54]the Hajj is that it reinforces the belief and the faith do
[21:58]we need some spiritual nourishment every once in a while when the
[22:03]month of Ramadan comes when muharam comes we feel that boost similarly
[22:11]with the Hajj give yourself that spiritual nourishment don't you see for
[22:16]example political parties right now the Democratic party the Republican Party these
[22:20]parties they have con conventions and conferences every group every company every
[22:25]organization they have a conference once a year once every few few
[22:29]months why to bring people together so the Haj is a convention
[22:36]that brings everyone millions of people together whoever is capable they get
[22:41]together so it reinforces your spiritual beliefs and Faith it's a spiritual
[22:45]purification so if I pray every day is it guaranteed that Allah
[22:53]forgives my sins no if I fast is it guaranteed that Allah
[22:55]forgives my sins no of course Allah could forgive a person sins
[23:01]if they're sincere but if you go to Hajj one thing that
[23:04]comes out of the Hajj is that Allah subhah forgives the sins
[23:10]the sins are forgiven when a person performs the ha so this
[23:16]is one a third is that it gives you diversity one of
[23:23]the most beautiful thing how many of you have been to Mecca
[23:26]okay when you go to Mecca what do you see what's something
[23:30]that you see what do you see you see the Kaa but
[23:36]in terms of people what do you what do you notice what
[23:42]do you notice in the people yes yes Zan they're wearing the
[23:50]AL all types of people you see the rich you see the
[23:57]poor you see the people that come from America people from China
[24:01]people from Africa people from the Middle East people from Indonesia people
[24:06]fromc all countries you see everyone there and that is something very
[24:14]unique and very special with Islam right now for example you look
[24:20]at some other faiths for example Judaism Judaism and the Orthodox Judaism
[24:26]not the reformed the you know the Orthodox Judaism they say you
[24:31]can't convert to Jew you can't become a Jewish person if you're
[24:35]born Jewish you're born Jewish you can't become Jewish or for example
[24:41]the Hindu Faith the Hindu Faith It's Made For What who's who's
[24:44]usually from the Hindu Faith people from which country from India it's
[24:52]Hindu it's the same name so usually it's associated with that but
[24:56]when you say Islam is is Islam only for Arabs for example
[25:02]is Islam only for white people black people rich people poor people
[25:05]no Islam is for everyone and that is one thing very beautiful
[25:08]that we notice and we witnessed with Islam and you see that
[25:13]when you go to the Kaa you see that at firsthand when
[25:18]you go to uh to Mecca so that's one another is everyone
[25:27]you see when you're wearing theam so Zayn said you're wearing the
[25:31]the one thing that you have to do when you're performing the
[25:34]Haj is you have to all wear the men they have to
[25:38]all wear something like a keen two pieces and the woman have
[25:41]to wear something very pure and very simple no jewelry none of
[25:47]that why this is a reminder that we are all equal in
[25:49]the eyes of Allah you do ta around the Kaa you might
[25:53]be doing ta next to a multi-millionaire and you might be someone
[25:58]who's not very wealthy and next to you might be someone who's
[26:02]very poor they don't even have food to eat that day everyone's
[26:06]doing ta around the Kaa together so so um this is this
[26:13]is um one of the benefits and one of the benefits is
[26:21]that you feel that that humility before God sometimes we need that
[26:24]you find some people they have some money what do they start
[26:26]doing they start looking down on people they start thinking they're better
[26:29]than people right now why are there Wars and suffering because one
[26:33]group of people they think they're better than everyone else they think
[26:36]they're better than everyone else they're entitled they're P privileged and no
[26:40]one else deserves to have a chance at life no one else
[26:44]deserves to have that equal freedom and opportunities Islam comes and takes
[26:49]that away Islam especially when you go to Hajj you humiliate yourself
[26:54]not humiliate yourself you humble yourself before Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and
[26:57]that is what gives you real honor this is why in the
[27:01]from he says the Imam says the best place in the eyes
[27:14]of God on this whole earth one of the best places is
[27:18]the m between saf and Mar why what do people do between
[27:23]Safa and Mara what do we do between saf and Mara yeah
[27:29]yes we walk and run at parts of it for the men
[27:33]not for the woman you have to kind of hurdle why do
[27:38]I do that I do that because God told me to someone
[27:43]who says I've you see old people you see Rich wealthy they
[27:46]have to start jogging from this place to this place why because
[27:51]God told them to this is a sign of humility before Allah
[27:54]subhanahu wa ta'ala and of course one of the benefits of the
[27:59]H is there's a historical connection historical connection when you go and
[28:04]you see the KA this is the first place of worship when
[28:07]you look at the mountain when you look at and then when
[28:10]you visit the prophets you see you see what you believe in
[28:15]and this helps solidify the faith and Allah subhana T talks about
[28:18]many benefits to the when IIM built the Allah tells him call
[28:29]people they're going to come from all over so that they witness
[28:35]the benefits to themselves and they remember Allah subhana tala can we
[28:43]go to the next slide please so what is what are the
[28:46]foundations and what is the history of the Hajj one the Hajj
[28:52]is a tribute to ibraim and the family of ibraim and ibraim
[28:56]is the father of monotheism who built the Kaa ibraim who started
[29:02]running between saf and Mara haar the wife of ibraim and it
[29:09]was because she wanted to give food to she wanted to give
[29:15]water to her son and you see that ibraim he brings his
[29:20]family to Mecca Mecca had no life no plants no water nothing
[29:24]then it was a miracle that the spring of zamzam came and
[29:31]people started coming and migrating to to Mecca so when we go
[29:35]to Mecca it's a really it's not a really nice place to
[29:40]go I mean if you're spending all that money someone would would
[29:42]say why can't we do the Hajj in Hawaii for example why
[29:48]can't we do the Hajj in somewhere really nice tropical where you
[29:52]see waterfalls and you see ocean and you see very be things
[29:56]that are very beautiful this is where Allah Suba wants people to
[30:00]go this is a sign of humility uh humbling yourself before Allah
[30:04]subhana wa taala and it's a sign of worship and obedience that's
[30:10]it Allah says you go there because ibraim went there if ibraim
[30:13]had gone somewhere else Allah would have ordered us to go somewhere
[30:16]else so the Haj you see it's following in the footprints of
[30:21]ibraim ibraim takes his son is he wants to slaughter him now
[30:24]all the they have to make a sacrifice all of the they
[30:29]have to do the the zoning of the Shan and ibraim built
[30:31]the Kaa we do ta around the Kaa so these are the
[30:35]foundations can we go to the next slide please okay so this
[30:40]is the Kaa which direction do we pray to as Muslims we
[30:47]pray towards the Kaa is the Kaa an idol no the Kaa
[30:53]is the direction of the prayer it is the that we are
[30:55]praying to so we are not praying to The Rock we're praying
[30:59]to that direction because that is a holy direction that is where
[31:04]Allah subhana wa tala commanded us as Muslims to face in that
[31:07]direction to pray because it was the first place of worship the
[31:14]first Masjid on Earth so the Kaa has several um several things
[31:18]here number one you see that that Arrow right by the door
[31:24]of the Kaa The you see a black stone there's a black
[31:27]stone it's surrounded by this white silver cover that is the that
[31:31]is called the so when someone's doing around the that's the starting
[31:36]point of the TA okay the door of the Kaa The Kaa
[31:41]has a door before Islam so ibraim built the Kaa as a
[31:46]place of monotheism then later on many generations later people came and
[31:50]they started putting Idols inside the Caba and on the roof of
[31:55]the Kaa then when conquered Mecca because he was born in Mecca
[32:00]Mecca had Idols in it then he goes to Medina and then
[32:05]he comes back he conquers Mecca and he cleans it of all
[32:07]idols and he removes the idols and since that day there has
[32:12]never been idol worship and Idols in the Kaa so there is
[32:14]a door to the Kaa and then um you see this number
[32:20]seven number seven that golden thing on the right that is Mak
[32:24]ibim so in there if you go inshallah you all can go
[32:30]you look inside you see Footprints of prophet ibraim Alam that's that
[32:34]rock that used to elevate and ibraim it was it would Elevate
[32:39]and ibraim would build the Kaa and then look at number five
[32:42]number five that round that half circle that is called is so
[32:49]is and his mother and many other prophets are buried there and
[32:55]that was an extension some say that was an EXT exension of
[32:59]the KA so this is why when we do ta we include
[33:04]that in the TA so when we circumambulate around the KA you
[33:07]go around as if it's a part of the Kaa so you
[33:12]you consider it like it's a part of the Kaa so there
[33:16]are Corners to the Kaa as well there's the yeni corner uh
[33:19]for example number nine the one right uh number nine is the
[33:24]yemeni corner then there's a corner meaning that's the corner facing Yemen
[33:29]there's the Syrian Corner the Iraqi corner so these are the directions
[33:32]that it's because it's a it's a square so there's directions from
[33:37]the Muslim world the when you look at it it's the one
[33:40]right before the you see there's a crack in that corner of
[33:47]the Kaa until today you go and you see it and they
[33:50]put nails and you could see those nails and that was where
[33:55]IM aliam was born the Kaa his mother she did ta around
[34:00]the Kaa and the wall of the Kaa even though the Kaaba
[34:02]has a door but the wall of the Kaaba opened and she
[34:07]entered and then she gave birth to okay we'll go to the
[34:14]next slide this is just to explain the Hajj so the Hajj
[34:16]could consist of two parts if you're doing the at any other
[34:21]time you only do the first Parts but if you want to
[34:26]do the Hajj then you do the and the Hajj so the
[34:28]the you do and then you do the the so the first
[34:34]part is the it begins with entering into the state ofam in
[34:39]order to enter into mecah you have to be in the state
[34:41]ofam meaning you have to there's about 25 26 things that you
[34:47]make forbidden upon yourself you take off the jewelry and you wear
[34:51]the simple clothes of course for the man they wear the and
[34:53]you say the you say meaning oh God you invited me now
[35:03]I'm answering you and then you enter into the state of then
[35:06]you enter into Mecca when you enter into Mecca you have to
[35:12]do ta circumambulating around the Kaa counterclockwise counterclockwise we do ta around
[35:19]the Kaa seven times so seven times you do the TA after
[35:21]ta you go and you pray two from behind IIM and then
[35:26]you do the you walk between saf and there are two mountains
[35:29]that are very close they're now they're a part of the Great
[35:34]M you walk between Safa and Mara walking coming back the one
[35:41]2 three four five six seven ending at Mara you begin at
[35:44]Safa and end at Mara and then you do you cut a
[35:48]little bit of your hair and then that's it this is the
[35:53]if you if you're doing meaning it's not the season of of
[35:57]ha you do another ta called and that is the if you
[36:05]want to do the Haj you entered into meca you did all
[36:08]of these you do you do after the Hajj you could delay
[36:13]it after the Hajj so the they enter into meca they do
[36:16]the TA they do everything that they have to do they take
[36:20]off their they go they wear normal clothes then on the nth
[36:25]of which is called the day ofat the day before is the
[36:28]10th of the the n9th of the all of the they have
[36:34]to go outside of Mecca in a desert outside in the desert
[36:39]it's called aratat is where Adam met Eve ha you know when
[36:45]Adam and Eve they came they they came down from the heaven
[36:51]so they were lost one was traveling this direction the other was
[36:55]traveling another Direction they met over there inat another meaning to get
[37:01]to know from to know another um explanation for that is that
[37:06]is where people get to know themselves that's where you have to
[37:10]admit your sins before Allah subhana tala so on the noon day
[37:12]ofat the Hadith says when the sun sets on the day ofat
[37:17]all of the sins of the are forgiven that's it because you
[37:22]stood there and you begged God to forgive you you do the
[37:26]Allah will forgive you after after um you you were there then
[37:34]the they go so you see meca's here Min is here m
[37:37]is here andat is here so on the ninth everyone has to
[37:41]be inat then they start slowly making their way back to Mecca
[37:44]but they stop at F time or before F the they sleep
[37:50]that night in M out in the basically there's inat there's tents
[37:54]because you're there during the day M there's no tents because you're
[37:59]there at night you don't need to protect yourself from the Sun
[38:01]people get a sleeping bag whatever it is and they just sleep
[38:05]on it and they have to collect Stones you collect your ammunition
[38:09]why because the next day where are you going you're going to
[38:15]beat up the shatan not beat up the shatan you're going to
[38:20]go and throw stones at something that symbolizes Shan and so you
[38:25]wake up in M you have to stay until sun sunrise after
[38:30]Sunrise all of the they make their way to mina they make
[38:34]their way to mina the first thing you do in Mina when
[38:38]you enter that's the day ofid it's the day ofid so they
[38:43]go and they're wearing the they've been wearing theam since the day
[38:48]before since the 9th of they've been wearing the they go and
[38:51]they have to throw seven stones at that pillar that symbolizes Shan
[38:58]and this is a this is following in the footsteps of ibraim
[39:02]when ibraim wanted to slaughter his son of course Allah did not
[39:04]want him to slaughter his son it was a test when he
[39:07]was doing it Shan came in the image of a man and
[39:10]he tells him why are you doing this why are you doing
[39:11]this IIM he started throwing stones at him so then this is
[39:16]what we do and this is symbolic that we have to we
[39:20]have to a lot of us with shatan we're on the defensive
[39:22]oh let Shan not come to me let Shan not get near
[39:26]me I'm on the defensive in Hajj you change that philosophy and
[39:30]you become on the offensive why don't we become on the offensive
[39:32]why do we always have to be on the defensive let us
[39:36]be the enemies of shatan let us destroy the shatan and not
[39:38]let him get near us so you do the and then you
[39:44]have to slaughter a sacrifice so of course now the they don't
[39:51]do it themselves they give money to you know someone to do
[39:53]it they do it as soon as they told you that we
[39:57]did the sacrifice for you then you could take off then the
[39:58]men shave their head the first time the ones who it's their
[40:03]second time not their first they could just cut a little and
[40:05]the sisters they just cut a little bit of their hair or
[40:10]clip from their nails and the brothers could do that as well
[40:12]then they're out of the now they could go and wear clothes
[40:17]but they still have to stay in Mina for three nights that
[40:20]night of in the night after and the night after and they
[40:23]have to the next day come and do Ramy and the third
[40:27]day they do the Ramy and then they they have to do
[40:29]one more and and if they had not done it they have
[40:39]to do it so this is the Haj of course this is
[40:40]we we just really simplified everything very quickly inshallah if you plan
[40:45]on going to the Hajj if you plan on going to omah
[40:48]then we could do a very detailed session and inshallah we are
[40:53]planning on going to om in December and I recommend you come
[40:58]and even if Haj is not waj on you you go and
[41:04]you see the Kaa you see the the place that all Muslims
[41:06]are praying to and you also see Medina can we go to
[41:10]the next and last slide please so one of the most beautiful
[41:13]things for me at least when you go to the Hajj or
[41:18]when you do the you get the opportunity even though it's not
[41:21]a part of the Hajj it's not a part of the Hajj
[41:25]you get the opportunity to go and visit alaih in Medina and
[41:31]Allah is buried in Medina which is about a 4-Hour drive now
[41:35]they have fast trains which is within an hour and a half
[41:40]from Mecca to Medina you could get there and in Medina you
[41:42]visit the mosque of the prophets and the prophet is buried in
[41:44]his mosque his house is there you could see the house of
[41:48]the Prophet it's right next to the Masjid and the prophet is
[41:50]buried in his house so you get to actually see the Masjid
[41:54]that the prophet prayed in that the sahab were in that IM
[41:55]Hassan IM Hussein you see the house of you do the Z
[42:02]of the Prophet the Z of the you leave the mid and
[42:04]you see the semetery which is just it's not very far you
[42:09]just walk two three minutes out of the Masjid and you're at
[42:12]the Bak Cemetery the oldest cemetery in Islam and that's where four
[42:15]of the imams are buried many of the companions many of the
[42:21]family of the prophets uh next to Medina is the Battle of
[42:25]took place that's where Hamza is buried and 70 of the martyrs
[42:30]you see the first Masjid in Islam Masjid Kuba the first mosque
[42:33]that the prophet built in Islam that was the mid where the
[42:40]changed so the Muslims initially which direction were they praying towards towards
[42:46]Jerusalem the prophet he was praying and then suddenly Allah ordered him
[42:51]to pray towards Mecca so he was praying North then suddenly he
[42:55]he started praying South you see the sight of the seven the
[42:59]place of the battle of so these are all um some of
[43:05]the benefits of Performing the Hajj and Hajj if you can save
[43:08]up to go to Hajj this is good if you cannot try
[43:12]to go to and inshallah when you are able to go to
[43:16]Hajj you will be able to go does anyone have any questions
[43:18]because I finished my slides any questions who wants to go to
[43:26]Hajj who wants to go to omra okay inshallah um anyone online
[43:34]have any questions okay so no questions okay
