[17:31]oh [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] i [Music] [Music] the
[20:00][Music] on [Music] [Music] but [Music] foreign [Music] hello [Music] [Music] as
[22:17]we enter these days and continue in these days we pass our
[22:22]condolences to the among our time and to yes [Music] was born
[23:02]and raised in trollhatten in sweden having focused on economics and accounting
[23:07]during his a-levels he moved on to arabic and oriental studies at
[23:13]the university of gupta he has also spent time at the university
[23:16]of damascus for arabic studies he then then moved on to completing
[23:23]a va and ma in islamic studies at the islamic college in
[23:27]london where he also engaged in classical xi'an seminary studies since then
[23:32]he has continued his studies in the fields of comparative religion history
[23:36]of religions and the arabic language he has translated a number of
[23:43]primary shia texts into swedish and is currently engaged with a quran
[23:47]translation project he is an employee at the swedish agency for support
[23:53]to faith communities where he works in fields relating to religious minorities
[23:57]human rights and crisis management for these nights the other guys in
[24:06]our programs sheikh will be speaking to us on the topic of
[24:10]obstacles to integrity covering different obstacles for each evening before we welcome
[24:17]chef to begin the management can please request what we need to
[24:21]kindly move as far towards the front of the ball as possible
[24:26]to fill the gap so that those entering later on um are
[24:29]able to take it with the recitation followers oh [Applause] [Music] regime
[26:19]foreign [Music] [Music] i begin with giving my condolences to the muhammadin
[27:35]present to those all over the earth and today especially as we
[27:41]are approaching the fourth year of hussein i also express my gratitude
[27:57]to the opinion of this community for giving me the opportunity to
[28:03]serve the cause of abba abdullah and serve all of us in
[28:05]his community especially through us for allowing me to sit here while
[28:11]he himself humbly sits there although it should always be the other
[28:14]way around and i should be listening to my elders although i
[28:18]haven't been to western jamaat earlier or before but there is a
[28:25]another affinity to this jamaat which is which i know belongs to
[28:29]this community as well and i remember in sweden when i was
[28:30]a young child he came in the 90s he came through our
[28:35]community when i used to live then and i remember listening to
[28:40]his lectures and one of my earliest memories someone was earlier asking
[28:44]me who is your inspiration and indeed one of those inspirations that
[28:47]i had at an early age so for the longevity and health
[28:54]of both the ambassadors as you heard that the topic inshallah for
[29:06]tonight and the following nights will be obstacles to integrity now for
[29:11]tonight we will inshallah be a bit more theoretical and then from
[29:17]tomorrow will be more practical the reason is because we need to
[29:21]understand what is integrity before we can explain before we can examine
[29:26]what are the obstacles towards integrity we need to understand what is
[29:33]integrity and how does the failure to have integrity express itself so
[29:39]this tonight's discussion and tomorrow we're going to practical steps into what
[29:44]other obstacles the verse that i started off reciting the ayah from
[29:48]the quran that i started reciting is one that you find imam
[29:51]hussain was repeating this is a verse that he would recite at
[29:58]least a few times after the death of some of the companions
[30:02]amongst them for example the verse is there are those that have
[30:22]kept true to the promise they have made allah they have made
[30:25]a covenant with allah there is there is a myth between them
[30:31]and god and they have kept true to that promise some of
[30:37]them have already fulfilled their pleasure so all of them have come
[30:40]true to the promise some of the of the of the believers
[30:45]not all the believers this is very important allah doesn't say all
[30:48]the believers allah says there are amongst the believers some who have
[30:54]kept to the promise some have already already fulfilled their pledge amongst
[30:59]them there are those who still are waiting they haven't kept their
[31:03]pledge in the sense that they have not fulfilled the promise yet
[31:07]but god says but they have not changed in the least meaning
[31:11]whatever promise they met god whatever they said to allah and whatever
[31:16]they told they haven't gone away from their promise they are still
[31:37]standing on that promise now why is repeating these specific words on
[31:43]the day of ashura because you find that on the opposite side
[31:47]you know one of those prayers perhaps because of this very but
[31:57]they had and the opposite side of the army of the opposite
[32:01]army that is there to attack there are those who have also
[32:07]made promises so you have with those who make promises like they
[32:21]stand by that promise on the other side we have people who
[32:26]also had big promises they had written letters to him after saying
[32:29]they had said we have no imam come to us they have
[32:34]said we promise to follow you as if we are tired of
[32:39]the umayyads come to us we want you to be our ruler
[32:42]we will give we will pledge our loyalty to you come and
[32:45]we will sacrifice everything for you but when the time came they
[32:50]will not keep their promise so imam hussain is highlighting that there
[32:54]are some people who have integrity to the point that even if
[32:59]they have to sacrifice their lives they would sacrifice their lives but
[33:03]they will keep their promise on the other hand you have people
[33:05]who they could have shown integrity when is ibn ziyad enters kufa
[33:12]they showed no integrity they could have showed integrity when was taken
[33:17]as a prisoner they had no integrity they could have shown integrity
[33:20]when muslim was abandoned they showed no integrity they could have shown
[33:27]integrity when he was killed but they showed no integrity they could
[33:31]have shown integrity when even ziya orders the army to leave pufa
[33:36]to surround the camp of they showed no integrity what does integrity
[33:41]mean what is it that we are talking about in the latin
[33:48]language integra means something that is complete something that is full something
[33:54]that is not broken now when you look at the word integrity
[33:56]in the dictionary you find the meaning firm adherence to a code
[34:03]of especially moral or artistic values meaning incorruptibility you cannot be corrupted
[34:09]your whatever values that you have the values that you want to
[34:15]live by you live by those values you do not go against
[34:17]those values number two an impaired condition something that is sound soundness
[34:24]or number three the quality or state of being complete or undivided
[34:29]meaning completeness now these are the definition of the lesions let's look
[34:35]in the hadith what the habit says about the concept of integrity
[34:39]there's a word in the arabic language called you ask any specialist
[34:45]of the arabic language or anyone who is studying anything from the
[34:48]arabic language you tell them to explain in one word the word
[34:53]they will not be able to do that in one word they
[34:56]will say there are words that are approximate but there is not
[35:01]one word that will transfer the meaning of muruga now approximates for
[35:07]example chivalry chivalry is an approximate meaning of the word another is
[35:14]integrity integrity is also one of those words that is an approximate
[35:19]meaning [Music] is reported to have said that he says the worth
[35:39]of a man is measured by the extent of his ambitions now
[35:43]this is very easy to say we need to ponder upon this
[35:46]number one does not say the value this is the word that
[35:51]not the dignity all human beings are dignified allah says [Music] what
[36:09]is your ambition to put it simple if you have my ambition
[36:14]when i wake up in the morning my ambition is what will
[36:17]i eat and drink today then my worth is with what comes
[36:21]out of me if my ambition when i wake up in the
[36:25]morning is to make the world a better place than my worth
[36:30]my other is according to that ambition and the best ambition is
[36:33]always to make myself a better person before you try to change
[36:38]the world try to change yourself somebody says you have to have
[36:41]high ambitions now that doesn't mean just worldly emissions that does not
[36:45]engage worthy emissions sometimes we find people will say that islam is
[36:50]a religion that doesn't allow us to flourish in the world people
[37:03]are surprised imam ali was an expert in finding water in the
[37:10]desert so what he would do he would walk for 25 years
[37:12]when he's not the halif when he doesn't have the power he
[37:15]would go into the desert he would find places because there's a
[37:21]rule in islamic law don't apply is here there's a rule in
[37:23]islamic law that says that if you find dead land not owned
[37:27]by anyone that land and you revive the land that land belongs
[37:31]to you if you revive that land you make water you can
[37:34]irrigate the land now that land will belong to you it is
[37:39]your land there are still in madina there are places where a
[37:42]place called the wealth of the wells of imam ali imam ali
[37:49]would go into the deserts of madina and of makkah [Music] [Music]
[38:03]intelligence he would put this money in a trust and he will
[38:10]tell him you are the captain of this trust from this trust
[38:13]you make sure you feed yourselves you feed bani hashim and you
[38:17]feed other men that are in need of being fed this is
[38:23]the integrity of your name he says your word is according to
[38:25]what according to your ambitions you should have high ambitions and then
[38:31]he says yourself your truthfulness is in line is according to your
[38:37]muruga according to your integrity you can measure a man's self you
[38:44]can measure a man's integrity according to his truthfulness and his truthfulness
[38:47]according to his integrity now why is this important to mention so
[38:54]we go back to imam hussain we find that at one point
[39:07]during the saga or the history of karbala imam hussain says a
[39:13]few words which are very you know if we want to understand
[39:19]them i sometimes i think we would cry more about our state
[39:22]than we cried because of our grief allah he says [Music] these
[39:30]people are the servants of dunya people are the servants of this
[39:36]world and the being the religion is something that is now like
[39:43]how can i make you understand what life is in the arabic
[39:48]word i'm not sure if there's anyone who speaks arabic here no
[39:51]okay so in the arabic word the word for spoon in classical
[39:56]arabic the word for spoon is from the word life how often
[40:03]is how long time is the spoon in your mouth when you
[40:07]eat food you take the spoon you place the food on your
[40:11]mouth you take the spoon out you don't chew the spoon do
[40:13]you you don't keep the spoon in your mouth the spoon is
[40:16]there for a very short time it is just it just means
[40:20]it is there to put something inside of your mouth and it
[40:23]is this religion people put it on their mouth just very briefly
[40:29]it is there on their mouths but when they are put through
[40:33]chest as long as they have their malaysia as long as they
[40:35]have a livelihood they are happy as soon as as soon as
[40:41]they were pushed from trial the people who are faithful the people
[40:44]of dean are very very few question imam hussain praises some people
[40:54]he says some people have kept you the promise that they made
[40:56]to allah imam hussain condemns other people he says these people are
[41:04]the servants of dunya where am i am i alone is those
[41:11]who calls upon my imam but then when the imam comes i
[41:16]say sorry i have other things to do i say sorry there
[41:21]are people calling me i say sorry i have family commitments you
[41:24]know amongst the people who are fighting they were these people were
[41:30]not just anyone these people were praying [Applause] [Music] people fast they
[41:49]pray they they do all these good actions he says they have
[41:52]become used to it people are used to it so that if
[41:56]they don't fast and pray then they'll not feel well so they've
[41:58]been praying for us not to get closer to allah necessarily but
[42:03]because it makes them feel well now please don't take this as
[42:05]a ticket to say that you don't need to pass and pray
[42:08]please you know it's like those people who say that the quran
[42:10]says don't go when you are drunk it doesn't say just go
[42:20]in don't go into prayer so please understand correctly i'm not saying
[42:24]stop praying and stop fasting i'm saying pray and fast for the
[42:28]sake of getting closer to allah don't be surprised don't be amazed
[42:40]by people doing these things rather you test them do they return
[42:53]that trust to you now imam was saying on the day when
[42:58]imam going towards for our brothers when they say that ten people
[43:16]are promised paradise they have you might have heard this the ten
[43:21]people amongst them [Music] is given he has the merit of being
[43:31]the one who defeats the armies of persia a hero amongst our
[43:37]brothers indeed there are some hadith about the things that he has
[43:39]done during the summer the heroic actions that he did during the
[43:43]time of the prophet as well during the battle of the mother
[43:46]and so forth but now we are not talking about we're talking
[43:48]about his son his son is um so now you know he's
[44:08]a cousin of imam hussain he is someone who knows very well
[44:14]the position of imam hussain is the grandson of rasulullah he knows
[44:20]all of these things yet what makes him prepare to lead the
[44:26]army of the army to attack imam hussain is because says that
[44:32]if you attack him i will give you the governorship of right
[44:35]right today seems like people used to have this thing that you
[44:46]know my father defeated this area so i should be the ruler
[44:51]of this area you find this as a reoccurring theme in the
[44:54]history of islam the point here is that he is promised that
[45:00]if you kill imam hussain you will be given the rulership of
[45:04]rey you will become the governor of rey this also shows already
[45:09]there is a lack of integrity because when imam ali would send
[45:14]out malika he would write to himalayan that when you go remember
[45:22]if you do any injustice and if you in any way try
[45:26]to benefit yourself from this makes malika the governor of egypt he
[45:30]says if you are unjust in any way anyway taking property from
[45:36]people or making yourself rich somehow or not fulfilling the rights of
[45:40]people punishing someone who doesn't deserve to be punished so forth he
[45:44]says any way you are understood people remember you have power over
[45:48]them but your imam has power over you and your god has
[45:52]power over your imam now imam ali's vision of a governor ibn
[45:59]is vision of a governor is who a person with love because
[46:04]what is um thinking he says when i get to the governorship
[46:09]of my pockets will become heavy i will go there and make
[46:13]my pockets heavy you find you have other people who are abandoning
[46:16]imam hussain for different reasons everyone has a justification now you might
[46:21]say but i'm not amongst them i have integrity let's do a
[46:28]mind imagine this now this might be a bit difficult for the
[46:43]younger ones to imagine or should join the experiments but anyone who
[46:50]is above the age of driving who has a driver's license will
[46:53]be able to understand what i'm going to talk about imagine you're
[46:56]married you have a small child at home that child is maybe
[47:00]one two years of age you come home from work now we
[47:04]live in a egalitarian society so whether the brothers is sitting in
[47:09]front of me or the sister says here whoever this example applies
[47:15]to whether you be the man of the house or the woman
[47:16]of the house imagine you come home and your spouse is waiting
[47:22]for you and says that tomorrow this morning you pack up almost
[47:24]all the milk we have no milk in the house the baby
[47:28]needs well i want you to go to the store and get
[47:32]some milk so you look outside you just come home after a
[47:35]very long day of work you look outside it's raining maybe even
[47:40]stronger does this know in basics sometimes no okay sorry [Music] let's
[47:48]go with brilliant let's go with haley perfect that's even better thank
[47:52]you very much it's healing it's raining and hailing and it's dark
[47:58]it's cold you sit in your car you go to a shop
[48:01]i'm not going to mention any names i don't know which shops
[48:03]you have close by here anyway so you go there and you
[48:10]come close to us then you find that the whole parking lot
[48:12]they're actually doing some refurbishing they're doing some uh rezoning i don't
[48:17]know whatever you cannot park close to asda the only parking space
[48:23]that is closed that way you can go close to azda or
[48:25]whatever shop you're going to is the disabled party if you don't
[48:30]use a disabled party you will learn how to park where you'll
[48:34]have to park three minutes away three minutes walk away two minutes
[48:36]remember it's really even 30 seconds this is raining is cold and
[48:42]so forth okay so now you have to you have a choice
[48:48]to make do you park far away now if you have integrity
[48:53]what will you do you park far away you will put your
[48:58]park you will put your car far away but now we human
[49:02]beings we have something called cognitive dissertation cognitive means something to do
[49:07]with the mind with the thinking in this rotation something that is
[49:10]messed up basically how our thought patterns get messed up and the
[49:16]psychologists they will explain to us that several different ways that we
[49:20]can apply these kind of cognitive dissertations for example there's something called
[49:26]rationalization i realize i shouldn't park on the disabled parking but if
[49:32]it was daytime i wouldn't partner it's night it's cold i i'm
[49:37]not gonna cause anyone trouble no one who is disabled is gonna
[49:42]come at this hour and park at this place that's rationalization no
[49:47]you could use justification it's raining and i don't have an umbrella
[49:51]it's perfectly justified for me to stand here why because i don't
[49:56]have an umbrella with me you could use minimization look i'm just
[50:00]going to go back here it's not a big deal it's just
[50:05]going to take a few minutes who no no i'm not going
[50:10]to bother anyone you could magnify the problem the only other place
[50:13]is so far away it would take me forever and not get
[50:17]cold and that there's rain and so forth i have to park
[50:20]here because the problem is so huge no you could put use
[50:26]the blame you could say what if my partner if my spouse
[50:28]were remembered to buy milk i wouldn't have been in this position
[50:33]i'm parking on the disabled parking not because of me because of
[50:36]someone else they're putting the blame on someone else i've been working
[50:46]the whole day it's not fair to expect that i should walk
[50:49]all this distance just to get some milk uniqueness it's okay for
[50:55]me to park here why because i've been living 20 years i've
[50:57]been a good citizen in this community i never do anything wrong
[51:01]just today let me here although we always do a lot of
[51:04]things wrong you know i'm sure you have this problem in the
[51:11]uk as well that many people are perfectly perfectly upstanding citizens put
[51:14]them behind the wheel and that upsetting this disappears out of the
[51:19]window right anyway mental filter i'm not going to let myself remember
[51:23]remember the last time you parked in the disabled parking or on
[51:28]the double yellow line you got a ticket i'm not going to
[51:32]let myself remember that i have a very important thing to do
[51:34]right now you could put yourself as the victim typical trust me
[51:39]i would go to this very shop i could have gone to
[51:45]a sainsbury instead but i chose to came to ask them trust
[51:47]me to go to asda when i could have gone to the
[51:51]other shop you put yourself in the victim stance normalization everyone does
[51:57]this everyone is doing this why should i not be able to
[51:59]do this when everyone else is doing this denial it won't harm
[52:03]anyone if no one knows or helplessness i know i shouldn't but
[52:10]i can't help myself i'm in this situation that i have to
[52:13]do this and so forth now all of these examples show us
[52:19]what we this is a very simple example but in a day-to-day
[52:26]life we tend to make exceptions we have high values we have
[52:30]high goals we want to live up to those values we want
[52:34]we say that we want to be on that level [Music] but
[52:39]when something happens that makes life a bit difficult it's very easy
[52:46]to use a justification or a rationalization or somehow allow our thoughts
[52:53]to take us to a place to say that yeah i know
[52:57]this is wrong but for me today it's okay because [Music] something
[53:28]that is great or huge means something that is hateful so it
[53:33]is something that is very hateful in the sight of allah that
[53:38]you do what you that you say something and do something else
[53:41]that you have made for example you make a promise you say
[53:46]that this these are my values this is what i stand by
[53:48]but you don't live up to that and at the end of
[53:51]the day there's another word in arabic that we could use as
[53:54]a process for integrity which is islam this is the bombing that
[53:59]you are steadfast you should remain true to your values and in
[54:03]the quran he talks about if you recite allah those who say
[54:22]that our lord is then they are still fast from that on
[54:26]those people the angels descend and then he explains he says that
[54:34]he said first as you have been commanded what does it mean
[54:40]to be safe don't follow their desires be said fast as you
[54:45]have been commanded don't follow their desires in the desires this is
[54:48]the prophet and through the from the prophet to [Music] [Music] [Music]
[55:25][Music] let me give you an example what am i talking about
[55:36]here sometimes we might think that we are making life easier by
[55:42]not living up to our values so we make a promise to
[55:48]ourselves that i have these are the stories the narratives we tell
[55:52]ourselves i have these certain values then we face a hardship we
[55:58]face a problem or we face a small any small thing and
[56:00]we say okay only this time i will step away from my
[56:04]uh from my values and we think that this will make me
[56:07]happy there's a story of how two young boys that's i don't
[56:14]know the community so i'm just gonna use two names and presume
[56:18]that no one here has these names if you do that please
[56:19]forgive me let's say that you have two boys called zayn [Music]
[56:24]zayd has a bag of mountains hamid has a bag of candies
[56:29]now they wants zayn has the marbles hamid has the candies they
[56:36]wants the candies so they agree they say let's change you get
[56:41]all of my marbles you get all of my candles as soon
[56:46]as they have agreed upon this they now before handing over the
[56:53]marbles he realizes he has a couple of marbles he really really
[56:56]really likes so when hamid is not looking he plays it out
[57:01]of the bag and puts them in his pocket they make the
[57:06]switch also has some candies he really really really likes but he's
[57:09]made a promise so he gives the hole back now no one
[57:15]is the wiser no one knows what their loss what they'll gain
[57:18]at night hamid when he goes to bed he's very happy he
[57:23]has a bag full of marbles he wanted the marbles he's very
[57:28]happy zade he looks at the bag of candies and then he
[57:34]starts thinking what if hamid had something back because he himself had
[57:39]something back he himself had something bad now he's starting to think
[57:43]what if hamid also held something back what if hamid had more
[57:46]than two candies i have two marbles what if he kept more
[57:50]than two what if he kept three back four back what if
[57:54]he didn't give me all his candy what if he didn't give
[57:56]me everything that he had that he promised to give me because
[58:01]he himself was not truthful now he's looking from that perspective and
[58:05]he's seeing that the other part is not being truthful as well
[58:10]this is i guess exactly so what happens is when you are
[58:15]not when you are not truthful to your word and when you
[58:19]are not truthful to your integrity you will be guilt later this
[58:23]is what happens in kabbalah you find that the enemies of imam
[58:26]hussain once the deal has been done they are all blaming each
[58:32]other [Music] everyone is blaming each other i didn't mean this to
[58:38]happen even today you find people saying yes they didn't mean this
[58:41]to happen didn't mean this to happen these people didn't mean this
[58:43]to happen oh the has made this up you know with people
[58:47]when they start going they'll start blaming everyone so are these these
[58:50]people are to blame not these people they will put the blame
[58:53]on others you find that they are not pressing yazid cannot sleep
[58:56]because what he has done he cannot find peace because of what
[59:00]he has done but on the other hand you find that ladies
[59:03]having gone through all those difficulties having seen her brother's death having
[59:08]seen her children die having seen her nephews die having seen her
[59:12]sisters and other women for being taken as captives being paraded from
[59:15]town to town having gone through all these difficulties when ziad says
[59:21]to her how did you find how god treated you she stands
[59:23]and smiles and says why because she has integrity know this is
[59:33]terrible all these things that are difficult to bear but you know
[59:37]what all these difficulties we bear it easy what does imam hussain
[59:40]say on the planes of karbala that he carries that young child
[59:44]in his arms and he looks towards the enemy army and the
[59:49]enemy army looks towards him and they shoot an arrow and the
[59:51]arrow passes through the neck of the child from one side to
[59:56]the other side looks towards the sky and he says god you
[59:59]know what this easy for me is that you are watching i'm
[60:03]doing this for you if i'm doing this for you he's in
[60:09]grief no doubt about that he is in grief there is in
[60:13]grief but they bear it because they have integrity they know what
[60:18]their values are and this is what we need to look at
[60:19]this is our where we need to aim towards we need to
[60:24]be people of high values and high integrity our actions has to
[60:31]be aligned with our words says [Music] god says there are people
[60:57]who are they are worshipping on a half on the verge they
[61:01]just anything happens they will go this way [Music] if he gets
[61:09]good in his life he's satisfied with that he's happy you won't
[61:14]see him walking away from his principles you won't see him walking
[61:18]away from his values as long as things are well were in
[61:23]asakusa but if something evil afflicts him he turns on his face
[61:31]he such a person because he's turned his face from allah such
[61:34]a person has lost his dunya and he you are saying is
[61:53]addressing uh the army of yazidi as he's addressing the army of
[61:57]israel on the day of one of his footballs as he is
[62:02]presenting his case shiver response [Music] except on the verge he's referring
[62:22]to this verse that he doesn't worship allah he says all these
[62:25]big things shimmer is accusing imam hussain that he's saying all these
[62:29]things that he's the grandson of rasulullah and so forth but he's
[62:34]only worshiping allah it is you who are ready to kill the
[62:48]grandson of rasulullah who are ready to break your all the all
[62:53]that you made when you promise to print to protect the crimes
[62:56]of rasulullah you've broken that oath it is you are worshiping allah
[63:01]in the gospels you find navi accusing the pharisees you find him
[63:09]accusing some of the leaders of he says that these people they
[63:16]are following this letter of the law but they have forgotten the
[63:20]spirit of the lord this is exactly what was wrong with the
[63:22]people they are praying they are fasting they are protecting the leader
[63:26]but who is the leader they are following the letter of the
[63:29]law but they've forgotten the spirit of the law so what we
[63:32]want you to look at insha'allah during the three nights that we
[63:36]have ahead of us are three things that makes us break makes
[63:42]us go against injections three things that tears down our integrity so
[63:46]that when we recognize what these three things are if we have
[63:50]time we want to do some something else as well we might
[63:53]do two topics in one night but if we recognize these three
[63:58]things it will make us all the stronger and it will make
[64:01]our integrity the stronger now one person that we find was a
[64:08]person of integrity is imams imam said you know the mind battles
[64:15]when you think about this how he could stand patient [Music] having
[64:23]seen his brothers being killed his cousin's being killed his father his
[64:30]uncles everyone being killed and then his auntie's been taken as prisoners
[64:34]his aunt's been taken as prisoners his lady cousins his sisters and
[64:38]yet he has so much patience you know the integrity of imam
[64:45]sajad is this and we'll go to mosaic after this at one
[64:48]point a person who was a major player in the army of
[64:52]uh of ufa that came to attack him on hussain he finds
[64:57]himself in madina and he finds himself in a situation where he
[65:02]has to flee from another army from people trying to attack him
[65:07]he goes outside at he this man finds himself at the doors
[65:18]of imam sajad he seeks the protection of imams of judge at
[65:23]that point when he's seeking the projection he thinks that imam sajad
[65:26]is not realizing who he is as the person has taken protection
[65:32]there when he wants to leave imam sajad has failed him imam
[65:35]sajad has given him a place to sleep the next day he
[65:38]wants to leave him says i will give you something for your
[65:40]trip maybe your horse maybe a camel something i'll give you some
[65:44]money i'll give you something so that you are safe on your
[65:47]onward travel this person at that point turns to imam said he
[65:50]says i think you know you probably don't realize who i am
[65:54]what role i played you know he says i know then we
[66:01]were your guests now you are my guest the integrity of imam
[66:07]said but this cry for his father the narration says that he
[66:17]spent so many years crying the people of madina they knew that
[66:23]if we are to slaughter an animal we should not slow to
[66:27]raise in front of him because if we slaughter it in front
[66:31]of command he will ask us and he would ask that when
[66:36]you slaughter this animal did you give the animal and they would
[66:41]say we are on the religion of your grandfather of course we
[66:44]gave the animal water before we did it before we saw it
[66:49]when you killed the animal did you slaughter it quickly we are
[66:54]on the path of your grandfather we spotted it quickly [Music] and
[67:01]he would say but my father in kerball was killed thirsty no
[67:06]one gave him water before he was killed and he was killed
[67:13]inhumanely and when he would be asked when was the most difficult
[67:17]time you know imam could have said it was when my father
[67:21]lost my brother it was very difficult for me he could have
[67:26]said that it was when the flag fell from the hands of
[67:29]my uncle abbas he could have said it was when i lost
[67:34]my six-month-old brother he could have said it was when i lost
[67:38]my cousin pass him when his body was trampled upon but imam
[67:43][Music] and he says damascus was the most difficult time and i
[67:53]asked myself what did imam say [Music] he says i was traveling
[68:06]i was traveling to go towards jerusalem and i passed through damascus
[68:12]and i saw that they had ornaments they had decorated damascus and
[68:18]i was wondering what aid is this what methyl is this what
[68:24]are they celebrating that i don't know of so i asked someone
[68:28]that why why is everyone so joyous in damascus what are you
[68:33]celebrating here today so they asking who are you he said i
[68:39]am and that there is no blood falling from the skies said
[68:49]why what has happened he said that hussein has been killed in
[68:52]karbala and they are taking these people that you see standing outside
[68:58]the gates these are the womenfolk of hussain and the heads that
[69:01]you see in the spirits they are the heads of hussein and
[69:05]his companions who are standing and he finds one of the women
[69:11]for this is the daughter of hussein and he finds the daughter
[69:16]of hussain and he says that who are you she says i'm
[69:18]the total of hussain he says i'm sad tell me can i
[69:23]do anything to help you in this position she says there is
[69:27]one thing you can do she points towards one of the soldiers
[69:30]that is holding a spear in his hand on the square is
[69:36]the head of hussein she says if you can ask that man
[69:41]to move ahead far away from us because when the head is
[69:47]close to us people first see the hell then they see the
[69:49]daughters of hussain they see the sisters of who say next to
[69:54]the head we cannot fear that people are seeing us in this
[69:58]situation goes to the man he says i bribed the man i
[70:01]gave him 400 dirhams to move ahead now i think of imam
[70:08]said imam said what is he thinking in this situation that sahil
[70:11]could make the man move ahead but imam sajad had to sing
[70:14]from town city to city how his sisters and his aunts who
[70:19]were paraded in the cities this imam said finds himself in the
[70:25]bar of yazid he finds himself in the darbar of inside and
[70:31]he sees that is going on the mill but he's cursing him
[70:35]and he asks he says that allow me to go on the
[70:39]member and finally when there's a lot of pressure on your mind
[70:45]and he starts preaching and when he preaches he tells the people
[70:50]he says i am the son of muhammad and he tells the
[70:55]praises of muhammad mustafa he says i am the son of allah
[71:09]then he says i am the son of hussain then he says
[71:11]i'm the son of the one who lies bathing in his own
[71:17]blood i'm the son of the one whose head was paraded from
[71:19]town to town when he is introducing himself yazid fears that people
[71:24]are going to turn against him there is nothing greater than allah
[71:40]he says your grandfather is my grandfather oh yazid if he's your
[72:09]grandfather you have life and if he's you say he's my grandfather
[72:11]why have you killed the grandson of rasulullah why have you taken
[72:16]the daughters of rasulullah as prisoners why what make you do when
[72:21]you do this sin [Music] that you forgive us for our sins
[72:37]and that you can please out of your father we ask you
[72:39]that you forgive the sins of all those who are present in
[72:42]the family members we ask you that you hasten an appearance and
[72:46]that you join us with these closest associates we ask you whenever
[72:55][Music] yes oh is [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] foreign me [Music] [Applause]
[76:56][Music] oh is foreign is foreign [Music] oh [Music] foreign [Music] you
