Will you be rewarded for doing good if you are driven by your intellect only? - Qazwini

Most scholars say no, because they did it for a worldly gain (e.g. people are praising them, or they get a good reputation). Hence, it’s important for us to have the intention to please Allah SWT in every good deed/actions we do.
