[8:54]now how do you sell that character how what dictates you having

[9:05]a strong personality the way you sell your character is through look

[9:29]anyone when the worst thing happens to you and you're just sitting

[9:32]there and something really awful happens to you you pick up the

[9:36]phone and what do you do you call someone that's your most

[9:43]trusted person so why trust to be able to sell your character

[9:51]you have to build trust with people how do you build trust

[9:59]so layer one is your character you are a product and it's

[10:03]for sale and it's undisplaced a single day you are that product

[10:15]it's your character now we said to sell your character you have

[10:18]to build trust people have to trust you number two through that

[10:26]trust how do you sell trust honesty I saw the ploy I

[10:34]mean the truthful trustworthy one that creates credibility when you stand and

[10:44]people know you are honest what happens your character will dominate any

[10:52]situation and I'm gonna get I'm going to take you through that

[10:58]and someone who's narcissistic what happens to them there are actually opposite

[11:03]of everything that I'm gonna show you I'm gonna take you through

[11:07]a process that we all go through every single day all of

[11:13]us every single decision you make where is it coming from do

[11:20]you in the depths of your soul you pull out your words

[11:24]and when you speak you shake the ground it's what the truth

[11:32]entails when you can do that when you can dig that far

[11:38]into your own self and look and say you know what this

[11:41]is me and I'm not afraid to show you my mistakes I

[11:48]wear those on my left sleeve and I'm not afraid to show

[11:51]you what I can do and I wear that on my right

[11:54]sleeve and I don't care I will display Who I am regardless

[13:26]live and when we talk when I circulate my tongue and I

[13:29]transmit my message to you I build a character in my head

[13:35]first and I display it to y'all as I look at me

[13:38]but it has nothing to do with you I'm just impression managing

[13:46]you I give you something you want to see I build an

[13:49]identity based on the individual that's standing in front of me is

[14:01]that truthfulness is that trustworthiness that's very difficult to do by the

[14:09]way but some people are masters at it they will study every

[14:12]single cool thing that you do they're watching you with the utmost

[14:16]precision and guess what they can even take it to the level

[14:23]of emotional mimicry they can actually mimic your emotions and show you

[14:28]that they're a mirror of you I can actually sell you emotions

[14:31]I can feel what you feel but it's not real I've had

[14:41]people like that people who are so good in the corporate world

[14:50]my god what they can do they can literally display emotions but

[14:55]they're not real emotions but they will display them to you and

[14:59]you will believe them it's incredible when someone's like that so impression

[15:07]management is something that when I dig into myself I don't like

[15:12]Who I am when I look inside and I truly look inside

[15:25]and I'm truly honest with myself I don't like Who I am

[15:30]so do you think if I don't like something do you think

[15:37]I want to display it to the world it becomes very difficult

[15:41]I don't want you to see that person cuz I don't like

[15:47]them so now what do I start doing to gain attention I

[15:50]have a need for admiration what do I start doing what do

[15:57]most people please just answer me real quick it's not rhetorical what

[16:00]do people start doing to gain attention what is it by things

[16:07]like what give me some examples what do they buy cars houses

[16:11]why is that so important you ever heard of something like having

[16:15]a trophy wife you want to know how that works works sisters

[17:17]when you hold value and you put the scarf on and if

[17:23]you're having a bad battle with it it's okay it's okay and

[17:27]sometimes the scarf itself is not respected in the right way and

[17:35]it's even worn the scarf is not a piece of clothing it's

[17:39]not an article of clothing it's an identity there's an internal scarf

[17:46]an external scarf completely different reality please trust that trust it it's

[17:54]there for you it's not there for anyone else it's for you

[23:21]packed with fear but if you long for death are you fearful

[23:35]you're not so how do you get to a state of security

[23:38]when the situation holds utmost fear how when you have the truth

[23:48]in your heart and you can dig to that level I'm telling

[23:51]you the peace and the calmness that you feel is incredible Imam

[24:00]Ali's in the middle of battle he's facing some against someone now

[24:07]what happens Imam Ali knocks his sword away he looks at him

[24:12]and he says to him I won't kill a man in a

[24:19]state of fear the man becomes arrogant and he says to him

[24:29]kill me Imam Ali says no I won't kill you how do

[24:32]you flip someone's heart who wants to kill you watch the actions

[24:41]this is who we have I don't care what example you follow

[24:46]what scientists you follow what level of identity you follow no one

[24:54]can do it like this because the amount of security you have

[24:58]to have in your heart to actually do I'm gonna say next

[25:04]is incredible it's impeccable in character you can't do it without the

[25:10]truth you won't feel that secure now Imam Ali Allah's Salam is

[28:48]here is how you get impression managed here's what we do when

[28:53]someone is doing this to you please be careful I'm gonna give

[29:16]someone consciously or subconsciously consciously or subconsciously runs a process on you

[29:26]so they can maneuver and change your perspective about a person an

[29:31]object or an event that's what they're trying to do they're literally

[29:37]telling you listen she's a bad person don't go next to her

[29:44]but she's not so literally through that information through that thought it's

[29:51]a lens I've given you a lens to look through about this

[29:55]person that's impression management I influence you by managing pieces of information

[30:05]now here's some of the ways people do it I can tell

[30:13]you a blatant lie about a person that's not true and I'm

[30:19]gonna take you through what happens when you build your infrastructure and

[30:24]your belief system based on lies you skew your reality and not

[30:31]even know it you skew it and you start thinking that actually

[30:36]this is the truth when it's not and literally it starts affecting

[30:44]the way you view the world based on how you lie to

[30:46]yourself there's no honesty how do you even trust yourself in what

[30:50]you're saying you actually lose the truth even when you speak you're

[31:00]even doubting who you are imagine living in that state where I

[31:05]become habitual err because I'm so afraid to display myself to the

[31:13]world lying has so many effects that you have no idea how

[31:17]much it damages you and by the way this happens to us

[31:24]as we're very young the smarter the kid is the smarter they

[31:28]are the faster they figure out how to lie I swear to

[31:36]you you see some kids sometimes they're like adults you go around

[31:45]they maneuver so well it's incredible what happens and how they do

[31:52]it now stage one is pure lying in the Quran it says

[31:55]fitna - I should do mine on cutting to say something that's

[32:01]not true about another individual or something else it's worse than killing

[32:07]it's worse than killing someone you know why now imagine I go

[32:11]say something about you and it's not true and now people start

[32:18]viewing you that way then even worse imagine even spread it all

[32:22]over social media and people believe it now about you I just

[32:28]assassinated your character it's the worst thing in the world when you

[32:37]do that to someone no that's the first stage the second stage

[32:40]please look at yourself and where you're at in these stages okay

[32:46]number two has two levels half-truths and exaggerations please listen to these

[33:15]no I tell sometimes white lies but at the end of the

[33:28]actually the way we judge others in terms of social the social

[33:31]studies of things we judge people on extremes but we're always right

[33:35]we're in the middle so when we judge others guess what happens

[35:28]one step back and tell yourself the truth can you live like

[35:37]people can see it can you live like that but you know

[35:43]what we do that's what we do you wait you don't answer

[35:49]this is what happens you don't answer the call and now you

[35:54]give yourself a little space you leave the house and what do

[38:07]didn't like this speaker and the speaker doesn't like you so what

[38:14]do you do you go to the CEO and you tell the

[38:24]complained do you say how many people call see how you're putting

[38:37]on one dot on one spot you're exaggerating it is that truth

[38:44]you're telling the truth but the truth has many layers that if

[39:07]impression that you're giving is that truthful that's a lie your truth

[39:17]on one level false on another who are you who are you

[39:25]see what happens identity it becomes split this is also a form

[39:38]they're on the opposite end of each scale that's how it works

[39:43]the third level is people who are one they have the truth

[39:55]they have it they speak it and they're not scared to display

[40:58]my career which identity do you wanna follow your career or your

[41:11]moral code and system are you that honest with yourself the first

[41:23]place you have to be honest is where with you you know

[41:26]why we're not honest with ourselves let's say you're having trouble with

[41:33]a job let's say it's okay we're not honest because why'd the

[41:40]main is we have to justify our actions to ourselves we do

[41:45]something wrong we feel the guilt we justify it removes the guilt

[41:50]this is how you become a habitual liar to yourself first this

[41:58]is where it starts it starts there then it's much easier to

[42:02]lie to people but what happens when you have the truth this

[42:08]is what you do you look in the mirror and you say

[42:14]to yourself this is who I am this is my truth I

[42:16]have many faults do you think you will have time to look

[42:26]at anyone else I swear to you the second you will start

[42:29]looking to the inside you will not have room to judge anyone

[42:36]else because your journey begins and once you understand that that your

[42:41]journey is in word not a word I don't blame the world

[42:44]I take charge of Who I am and I start looking inside

[42:50]when I need to fix me you know what happens when you

[42:57]start looking at other people and they have faults you'll start judging

[43:03]with a merciful heart that person will remind you of what you

[43:09]need to work on when you see the sin they become a

[43:16]reflection for your own sins it doesn't make you better than anyone

[43:21]else because you sin differently than someone else no one is better

[43:31]than anyone so when you judge boom judge with a merciful heart

[43:36]not a blame for heart and the only way you do that

[43:39]is to go on inside journey of who you are when you

[43:45]do that you start taking responsibility you will start moving towards self

[43:51]development not self sabotage if you deny the truth anywhere you need

[43:55]to work on yourself you're actually moving towards self sabotage now what

[44:01]self development so the truth when it's displayed you show character at

[44:09]the highest level and then when you are truthful you know what

[44:16]will happen with people they will trust you the prophet sallallaahu alia

[44:23]when he stood on that mountain and he said to them I'm

[44:40]by saying if there's a caravan behind this mountain would you believe

[44:50]the truthful one the trustworthy one truth brings why trust Trust brings

[44:56]what your character to the highest level once you have impeccable character

[45:02]when people see you imagine when someone sees you and they look

[45:09]at you and they say that's truth walking by they don't call

[45:11]you by your name they say that's truth walking by that's trustworthiness

[45:19]that's forbearance so Imam Ali Ali Salaam when he lowers his sword

[45:25]and he says to the man death is my protector look at

[45:32]the way he finishes the whole story the man asks him again

[45:35]and he says to him now I want to follow you imagine

[45:40]son who was trying to kill you he's trying to kill you

[45:47]and not by what a bullet by the sword that's very gruesome

[45:54]you know what kind of energy you have to have to kill

[45:57]someone like that you don't can have heart you have to build

[46:05]to get to that level but how do you stay calm in

[46:11]that kind of state how that's what the truth does but when

[46:14]you start going inside enough soul why lawanna you start looking into

[46:21]yourself studying who you are you will bring the truth up and

[46:27]you work on it and you say you know what in two

[46:31]years I want to develop this character this is who's gonna be

[46:35]me these are the characteristics and when to embed into I me

[77:46]so when you go across a person and then you're having a

[77:52]conversation and you just literally step on a landmine that's a trigger

[77:56]that's a sensitivity for the other person what happens inside the other

[78:00]person is there's an emotional explosion that happens inside and you don't

[78:04]know it you didn't mean to step on that because you don't

[78:08]know it's a trigger and we're all like that by the way

[78:11]all of us have sensitivities that we have now what happens if

[78:18]the circuit fires it triggers a pathway in terms of your neural

[78:22]network then it hits the emotion now certain hormones are released into

[78:28]your system and guess what happens you feel rage just come out

[78:35]and now you just want to kill this person what happened there's

[78:41]a subconscious wiring that you're not aware of but the person who

[78:45]is aware and they realize that listen when someone let's say the

[78:48]trigger when someone judges my intentions wrongfully that's my trigger that was

[78:54]one of my triggers and I didn't know it when someone looked

[78:59]at my intention and they judged it in a wrong way I

[79:02]just couldn't handle that so what I started doing is something called

[79:07]awareness training where I notice when someone presses the button and I

[79:20]stop it at the neural circuit if you don't do that here's

[79:24]what's gonna happen someone will step on your land mind it will

[79:27]trigger a circuit inside your mind it will hit your emotional state

[79:34]and who's to blame who's to blame who's to blame the person

[79:37]who stepped what on that land mind and you think you're completely

[79:42]justified but you don't know that you have a trigger that you're

[79:50]the problem you don't realize that so now if you do the

[79:53]awareness training aspect of it and you do this when someone rejects

[80:02]you you what open up space between that person's words and what

[80:07]your reaction you step back you create a gap and this is

[80:14]what you do you say this to the person please use this

[80:16]this is a very powerful tool it's just listen the weight of

[80:22]your words you have no idea how powerful they are you have

[80:26]no idea the people who can formulate sentences in very short powerful

[80:32]meetings are the strongest people of influence and they can get what

[80:40]they want out of life the people who can't do it have

[80:45]a very difficult time influencing others and by studies we have 27

[80:53]conversations per day that's 9072 conversations per year imagine you can only

[80:59]influence out of those conversations about two to five percent how happy

[81:04]are you going to be with your life so I told you

[81:11]reflect the idea and push it out don't inject it this is

[81:14]how you do it it's just the way you respond to it

[81:19]even if you feel that it triggers the neural circuit you feel

[81:22]it don't react step back one degree and say this you want

[81:30]to drive people crazy I swear I shouldn't even say it listen

[81:35]when you start really knowing how to communicate it's very dangerous because

[81:41]there's a fine line between manipulation and what the truth is a

[81:47]very fine line and when you become weaponized with certain ability to

[81:54]influence it's very dangerous that's why I'm very careful with the people

[82:00]I choose to kind of mentor and take to the next level

[82:05]because people did that with me now it's an obligation so now

[82:14]this and somebody puts just pushes your button and you use this

[82:28]a mentoring him now and or they're seeking some kind of let's

[82:32]say their executives and a lot of executives actually will seek this

[82:47]like I know what's gonna happen I know that she's gonna literally

[82:50]just her system up here is not gonna register anymore and she's
