[1:10]blessing that we have the opportunity to practice our faith and also

[1:29]really an amazing career where you can go anywhere so we are

[1:34]blessed just to be walking in this land you're going to be

[1:36]asked about it look at the privileges I gave you did you

[1:42]take advantage of it did you do the right things did you

[1:46]reach the highest pinnacle of Education everything is provided for you why

[1:50]didn't you do it I gave you the best means to do

[1:56]this the best opportunities did you take yourself to the next level

[2:00]or didn't you so you have to ask yourself I have opportunity

[2:06]just by merely being born here or standing in this land it's

[2:09]an opportunity so let me go into the first part faith what

[2:17]is faith to you it is a beautiful verse in the quran

[7:04]that this fear overtakes what we do especially our one principles respect

[7:10]the fold so now if that's the case and we have to

[7:18]get to a point how'd you get there in terms your own

[7:23]faith if I were to tell you right now there are some

[7:28]things you can control there are some things you can't control you'd

[7:31]be like yeah of course no problem let's make it really evident

[7:36]were some things that you don't there's no no one can dispute

[7:39]what we are saying right now let's go to that level so

[7:48]my control right I can do whatever I want with it I

[8:19]self-evident my control over this is self-evident the tree outside the way

[8:24]it's growing is also self-evident it doesn't need any proof you don't

[8:29]need proof to actually see the reality so what does that tell

[8:36]me there's a power outside of me that I don't have control

[8:39]over but I do have some control over other things but what

[8:44]does that also tell me my control is limited that's what it

[8:51]tells me I have some control but it's limited control I don't

[8:56]have overall control that's only to a larger so most of us

[13:26]is nothing more powerful than a person who has faith correct faith

[13:35]understanding when Imam Ali Allah's Salam says well as our ally only

[15:01]you see things that others do not see that's the difference the

[15:10]lens you look through you can pick up a thousand different cues

[15:14]from the environment while the other person picks up one or two

[15:17]your insight is such as another level that you can change situations

[17:08]the greatness I become absolute because I'm dictating laws and regulations and

[17:16]how things should be run but now ask that person if they

[17:18]can make it on a universal level they will fall apart so

[17:27]with that let's see how control expands through the Quran let me

[17:35]give you a story through the Quran Moses the mother but I

[17:41]own obviously heard of a rule that there's going to be baby

[18:35]Allah uses certain examples that are just amazing if you really look

[18:43]inside of them he said she gets to a point and she

[18:45]knows now he's after the child she gets commanded imagine you're a

[18:56]mother now and you're told go to the river as she's walking

[19:05]up to the river that she still have control can she turn

[19:12]back absolutely now imagine you get to the bank of the river

[19:16]and you're standing right over the water can she still turn back

[19:24]it's still underneath your control now place the basket in the river

[19:33]and I just want you to think about the moment she releases

[19:37]imagine that that is faith - the law says - you wanna

[19:48]go to one Akkad allah w'allahu hey dream a khadeem says you

[19:51]plan but I plan but why I'm the best of planners Salaam

[19:56]Hamid wali Muhammad so now that example Allah shows you when he

[20:07]draws it out when you have faith in me and you come

[20:13]towards me you will go towards righteousness if you use your ability

[20:19]and that control to come towards me and you submit properly watch

[20:25]what happens to your ability so now the child is floating on

[20:34]the river who finds him and actually not find them but they're

[20:38]brought the baby is brought to for a hundred house and asked

[20:52]intricacies of what's happening for the hound raises him with his own

[21:14]this Allah brings you right back to down to one side know

[21:22]who you are if you just play your part right within what

[21:28]control you have it's amazing what happens to you so now when

[21:55]magic word called fear we fear the consequences of our situations so

[22:19]we begin to just justify to ourselves what is going on here

[22:22]you have to understand that you have to have certain courage that

[22:28]you have to come in with with your principles it's not just

[22:31]about you coming in and saying I believe in this yeah no

[22:35]problem where is your courage when you need to apply sometimes when

[22:38]you apply you have to be passive sometimes when you apply you

[22:43]have to be aggressive how many of you really believe that aggression

[22:47]is a form of mercy think about that it is in the

[22:51]right situation it is think of Imam Ali Allah's Salam when he's

[22:57]in the middle of a battle and you taking another person's life

[23:00]it's in that aggression but it's done in the right line way

[23:08]terms of the way to Allah everything in the way of Allah

[23:11]is absolute we're see but you got to see it there's a

[23:15]lot further discussion there I don't want to go into it but

[23:17]when you start understanding this and your heart becomes connected to that

[23:22]you know when the prophets name is mentioned your heart should want

[23:28]hopefully your heart should move even a clearer should go down your

[23:36]cheek why it's the center of your whole system it's everything he's

[23:41]taught you how to submit that's the difference measured told us what

[23:48]you have to submit right did he come up with that original

[23:51]idea so think about that he gave you the connection between the

[23:58]finite and absolute he gave you the understanding of how to expand

[25:50]over it and if you are that certain how easy is it

[25:58]for him to remove that obstacle from your way the connection of

[26:05]the heart your belief has the green you gotta understand that and

[26:12]it's fluctuating just like the heart fluctuate your beliefs fluctuate it's so

[26:19]important to maintain that so on that level when you get to

[26:23]a point and now you have the system and in sha Allah

[26:29]you've gotten the best of faith and when you submit the ground

[26:32]shakes because you're so what full of Iman and you understand yourself

[26:37]to such a point that your heart is really connected so now

[26:42]you've got the right principle which is the right thought you have

[26:46]the right emotion connected to that principle and when you understand that

[26:50]you can move mountains because your intention is so directed so now

[26:55]let's Eve's gotten to that point let's go to your career that

[27:01]is faith now imagine when you come up on certain situations of

[27:10]your own career you have the scarf on some of us have

[27:13]huge beards masha'Allah but the way a turban your wear your turban

[27:20]to the job interview but in terms in terms of that level

[27:24]do you identify the don't you identify when should you identify when

[27:31]shouldn't you identify this you've got to understand it has a lot

[27:38]to do with wisdom it's not just being black and white you

[27:42]live in a in a system that does not accept certain things

[27:47]if you just don't if you don't understand the situation and you

[27:51]apply the wrong principle to the situation you're going to fall apart

[27:55]here's what happens with us and I'll give you I'm going to

[27:59]give you an equation that you have to understand how to use

[28:05]in terms of applying these principles now once you get the right

[28:11]principles a lot of us when we're learning are in faith in

[28:16]our religion you know what we miss there's another component application wouldn't

[28:20]apply how to apply this is what one yes so I'm going

[28:27]to give you the equation of how it works number one you

[28:31]have to have the principle let's say protection one of the laws

[28:36]names is the protector you get this principle into your system you

[28:40]understand your religion the second part of the principle is application to

[28:53]your environment one principle which is internal application is still what it's

[28:59]mental it's not even an outside yet application has degrees meaning that

[29:10]there's a range of how you apply it's not one or two

[29:16]black and white how some people are on some situation you have

[29:22]to be black and white but you're on thumb you have to

[29:24]have a range of understanding what energy will I apply to the

[29:29]principal to get it right in the right situation number three is

[29:34]your situation itself which is always very inked it's always moving it

[29:39]doesn't change if you have the same situation somewhere else understand at

[29:44]this particular moment it's different no matter how similar it is it's

[29:50]different so now from here you understand your principles one your application

[29:55]is many and a situation is one that's the equation now here's

[30:01]where we have trouble if we apply a principle to a situation

[30:05]with the right energy and we get good consequences we think this

[31:35]have to shift with it imagine in the middle of prayer the

[31:38]traffic shifts who shifted with him where is your belief think about

[31:56]you apply the right energy to the principle in the right situation

[32:21]different situations let's take the principle of protection let's say there's some

[32:27]someone in front of you and there what they're about to get

[32:31]hurt from someone else but you have the option to warn them

[32:36]and you care about this person what would you do your obligation

[32:39]at that moment is to warn them so you have to be

[32:48]aggressive protection your range of application is what aggression you have to

[32:54]be you have to be verbal you have to take action to

[32:59]warn that person let's say another give you another scenario here in

[33:06]a home and someone was a murderer you're a woman you have

[33:12]a five year old child and this guy's notorious for killing kids

[33:21]your daughters hiding in the closet and you got a gun to

[33:26]your head and he says to you where's your child what do

[33:34]you apply there do you become across over you like yeah she's

[33:41]in the closet you say the truth right now it's completely passive

[33:46]you're applying the principle of protection how in a passive manner do

[33:52]you see how dynamic that is you have to be get so

[33:57]good at it that when someone comes up to you and you're

[34:00]in a job interview you're not scared of the consequences it doesn't

[34:06]matter because at the end of the day you know your face

[34:09]and you can maintain it and also get the job this is

[34:14]what this equation gives you it gives you power over the situation

[34:19]without holding your principles that's the difference you have to become really

[34:25]wise of your own understanding of your own religion which principle to

[34:29]use that's number one that's where we first make the first mistake

[34:32]we use the wrong principle to the situation number two we use

[34:38]the wrong energy of that situation and number three we don't understand

[34:44]the situation those are the three areas you can fall apart in

[34:50]so whenever you're choosing the career make sure that it's in line

[34:55]with your acronym for me I was asked many times psychology even

[35:00]my the closest people to me fine by psychology you're not going

[35:06]to make any money they take the financial stamp and they want

[35:10]they tagged you with that especially the people who are closest to

[35:13]you they're trying to protect you I'm not saying is anything wrong

[35:16]with it if they're mentoring mentoring you properly there's nothing wrong with

[35:19]it you should seek their opinions don't become so opinionated and what

[35:25]you do that you cannot see anything either believe me your parents

[35:30]care for you at levels you don't even understand so from there

[35:35]I was asked my psychology should let back man you don't need

[35:43]it you're going to get into people's head and you're going to

[35:47]become a shrink this you saw hearing thing after thing after thing

[36:08]are setting goals in this world connect it to the hereafter that

[36:19]what can I do with that hamdulillah it was the best decision

[36:22]I ever made it's to follow something that was on Allah my

[36:30]mom's column but it's the best thing why because you truly have

[36:36]to understand what Allah has encoded you for understand your own talents

[36:41]don't run away and become fearful because I need a dollar sign

[36:46]and I need that security of money don't it's not enough you're

[36:50]not going to be happy because Allah giving you tools to reach

[36:57]your own maximum potential not to reach your career find out what

[37:02]your genetically encoded for and what you're passionate about and go after

[37:07]it don't wait for people to tell you you know what you

[37:10]shouldn't do this get a good mentor guaranteed with what I do

[37:16]I'm the vice president business development for a major corporation I take

[37:21]a person literally in two months from doing 10 sales 60 70

[37:28]80 sales within one office have a track record not because of

[37:32]anything I just know the system how it works I know how

[37:38]people think my company my own company just find boma hospital we're

[37:43]talking to ram's horn 16 corporate circuit 16 levels in terms of

[37:49]their own locations how do you get to these people I'm not

[37:51]boasting I'm not even the person who signed them if the person

[37:58]I trained so what I'm telling you you can succeed at all

[38:01]levels I walk in I said I'm not like them how are

[38:06]you everybody respects you afterwards it's that little moment but sometimes you

[38:09]know what I don't even bring religion into it especially if there's

[39:05]that's beneficial for you which represents your religion so you are a

[39:10]talking walking billboard at the end of the day that's what happens

[39:14]with that your career in this country is crucial the way you

[39:24]represent your religion is crucial and a lot of us are scared

[41:44]understand they're coming after you one way or another that real estate

[41:49]that's in your mind those cells that hold those thoughts they want

[41:55]some of them understand that and especially the little kids they're coming

[42:02]after them the way they market is incredible I have a marketing

[42:06]company I understand how it works so with that please with your

[42:09]education when you get to the university level and what's being projected

[42:15]now my god what's happening so seek your education but be grounded

[42:19]in your faith otherwise you're going to get lost so that's number

[43:49]come across you never know and now I look at him and

[43:57]invited in and he took it me full fledge this is the

[44:04]power that you can own you never know who you can come

[44:06]across you don't know and I'm telling you I get messages sometimes

[49:04]been programmed with decode and reprogram that's a hard task but you

[49:11]have to number two is find a good mentor that can help

[49:15]you do that and with that it's amazing when you get that

[49:19]kind of person who can show you certain things about you that

[49:22]you don't even know about yourself so that's number two number three

[49:26]just just read take your mind look at the Quran the things

[49:36]psychology that's there it blows my mind it's incredible just read what

[49:45]they have read that just read you'll be shocked don't read interpret

[49:59]to go after mentors for me okay again excellent question to live

[50:14]number one thing I look for is sincerity sincerity can cut through

[50:20]anything you can cut through any one part through sincerity and just

[50:25]being honest look man was asked he was asked how did you

[50:31]get to this level in terms of he was offered prophethood he

[50:35]was asked how did you get to this level he told him

[50:40]six things but the number one thing he told them was what

[50:41]that's it couldn't decide have honest tongue you know how hard it

[50:49]is should we have a tongue I always tell people you want

[50:52]to be truthful when you speak to people think of your own

[50:59]intention scrolling on your forehead and the other person can see it

[51:02]my god that's scary that's so scary because it's exposure that's not

[51:12]an easy thing Allah doesn't expose us that the exposure is come

[51:17]in that's a scary place so have have it that's the second

[51:24]thing I love is the person truthful sincerity can be detected you

[51:27]can get to a point where you can detect it a third

[51:31]gauges that you can get your own heart you can detect it

[51:33]you can see it so with that that's the second thing I

[51:39]look for number three is that obviously their their knowledge and their

[51:44]knowledge base their logic for me I've taken some really good time

[51:48]just to take a logic taking a lot of classes in universities

[51:52]and you know in certain levels in terms of certain studies here

[51:59]so with that you start understanding how things work work on yourself

[52:03]to that level where you can see if there's a equation that

[52:08]fits properly or not you can deduce so quickly that you can

[52:11]see the person does what they're saying have substance or not so

[52:15]that's number three and there's other things you can go for but

[52:19]those are the things I look and with that person and if

[52:24]they have this spawn Allah there are certain things that a person

[52:28]when they have Iman I'm not going to say use this as

[52:32]a kind of detection but you can you can feel it their

[52:34]aura you can sense it off them don't just use that though

[52:39]I'm not saying just use that because that's the emotional aspect but

[52:42]you have to become really good at that where you can sense

[52:45]it and I'll give you example I was just talking to one

[52:50]of the brothers and this person called in for a job interview

[52:56]and they just happened to call in when I was questioning so

[52:58]I was talking to them and I was just asking them questions

[53:06]that were just so off the wall this guy's had hallam was

[53:08]spinning I asked them like if there's if there's a if I

[53:14]were to give you a ring and you have to toss it

[53:15]around the pole that's in front of you and I gave you

[53:20]distance you can choose your own distance of how far you can

[53:23]stand away from the pole and your job relied on you making

[53:30]it around the pole I go where would you stand and this

[53:35]guy is just like he doesn't know if the trick question it

[53:38]doesn't but I know just based on his answers if he is

[53:44]he a risk taker is he lazy then after this you know

[53:46]what happened he's like man this is the strangest interview I've ever

[53:50]been through I go because you don't know what you're talking to

[53:53]I go you never asked and he says to me who am

[53:56]I talking to and I told him I love what I do

[54:00]and now he's intrigued he's like he said something he's like so

[54:04]how did I do I go you failed miserably and he says

[54:12]to me he's like why what the high group brings up now

[54:15]I said now you're being real I go see that emotion in

[54:21]your voice I thought this is what I was looking for their

[54:23]sincerity I thought it wasn't there before I thought that's number one

[54:28]number two I told them because of your answers in your hesitations

[54:31]you are lazy he's like how do I work on my work

[54:38]ethic is bugging me now because he was so surprised of what

[54:42]I took from him but that sincerity wasn't there you know what

[54:47]he did today he went through four people to get my number

[54:53]and he called me he's like please he goes what you did

[54:57]two days ago it was I can't believe somebody did that he

[55:03]goes can you teach me and he was hesitating how long he

[55:05]didn't didn't know is it can you mentor me please I said

[55:10]because you called I go here's my number because you took that

[55:13]time to do this I go now you're being real so I

[55:17]advised them I said the next time you go to a job

[55:21]interview be sincere and be truthful no matter how the consequence is

[55:25]that you think that you perceive are going to happen so that's

[55:28]the way I choose certain mentors if I see that sincerity in

[55:35]someone's heart you can detect it but it's the science there's a

[55:38]science to it I'm not saying just anybody can just do that

[55:42]it took me a long time to learn a lot of this

[55:47]stuff but it took me seriously about 10 years underground to come

[55:50]out and say you know what I can do ABCD work on

[55:56]yourself and it's amazing what you can do and how you can

[55:59]influence your environment so take one last question anybody any takers glad

[56:09]what is it okay psychology I have a I went to a

[56:19]trade school as well so I'm certified by the state with five

[56:23]different licenses I'm also certified by Apple in terms of marketing I

[56:34]run seminars in terms of the company I am going to be

[56:39]on stage with Eric Thomas I don't know anybody you know where

[56:47]Eric Thomas is et he's I'm actually going to be on stage

[56:49]with him I'm going to be one of the presenters there this

[56:52]guy makes about 50,000 dollars an hour so if you just so

[56:55]you know it to get to these levels it's I'm eternally blessed

[57:01]believe me I can't believe where I'm at to be honest with

[57:05]you some of the things and the opportunities that I have where

[57:11]I get to speak in front of 99 percent they're not Muslims

[57:14]at all and you know how many I had these I have

[57:23]in my presentation it's like it's bombarded at all in that but

[57:26]they've never heard this stuff it's amazing so for me I'm eternally

[57:31]grateful and everything that I do why because I just had just

[57:38]enough courage at the right time to us do the right thing

[57:42]and I wasn't afraid because I needed a financial stamp on my

[57:49]career I'm not saying that's not important it is important very important

[57:56]but it's not the only thing so with that thank you and
