[20:21]All the America.
[21:35]Alam allayikum everyone.
[21:38]Alhamdulillah.
[21:37]We were all see we're all seeing new faces every single night.
[21:42]So, thank you so much for coming.
[21:44]Um our sponsors for tonight and Dr.
[21:54]Kim, please recite.
[22:03]As you all know, as you all know, we're going to Grant
[22:17]Break inshallah this summer.
[22:21]It's a big center, 40,000 square ft.
[22:23]I remember from day one this whole awesome community has participated in
[22:28]many different fundraising campaigns.
[22:32]I remember even kids were excited to donate their money towards it.
[22:37]$1 million was raised in probably less than three to four months
[22:43]to buy the land and the community was smaller back then.
[22:47]Since then, we've been running many different campaigns, events, dinners, programs, and
[22:54]we had people from our state and other cities called and donated
[22:59]money from their hearts.
[23:01]This is really an awesome community that deserves to have the best
[23:07]community center.
[23:07]Now, we're almost close to $3 million.
[23:10]Working on it for the last two years.
[23:12]You guys were able to raise the money by your pure efforts
[23:17]with the help and guidance of say and the different board members
[23:22]but we need a little bit more to groundbreaking.
[23:25]I'll give you some ideas or examples to help raising the money.
[23:31]If you donate it will definitely help you with the taxes.
[23:36]You can also use your humus towards this.
[23:41]do the monthly payments $50, $100, $200 a month, it helps a
[23:49]lot.
[23:49]For example, if we have 500 people at $100 a month, that's
[23:52]$50,000 a month.
[23:56]So $600,000 a year.
[23:56]Let's say it takes two to three years to build the mosque.
[24:03]So that's by the time we finish that's two $2 million um
[24:07]from from donation or from the monthly payment um at $100 only
[24:15]a month.
[24:15]Also you can talk to your friends, your family members, other people
[24:21]spread the word.
[24:21]There might be people waiting for such opportunity or they wanted to
[24:27]do something on behalf of their family or their mahumin.
[24:30]At some point later on we might end up getting a loan
[24:37]from the bank 5% 6% 7% rate.
[24:41]But if we can have few people, let's say 50 people giving
[24:47]us free interest loan for 3 years for example at $25,000 $50,000
[24:52]a month I mean loan.
[24:55]So that's like $2 to $2.5 million then we don't have to
[25:01]waste time on paying interest if we end up taking any loan.
[25:03]Another way you can sponsor things in the center.
[25:08]Some people like to sponsor physical things.
[25:11]I like it myself.
[25:15]You can sponsor on behalf of your asaria.
[25:17]For example, sponsoring rooms like classrooms, the gym, $3,000 per spot, prayer
[25:27]carpet, tiles, flooring.
[25:31]You can sponsor paint lights, chandeliers, doors, pictures, frames, chairs, tables, trees,
[25:40]bricks, anything uh would help.
[25:43]Also, anyone who knows someone or some company or organization that can
[25:50]lend us big loans at low or zero interest, that would be
[25:54]also so helpful.
[25:55]So spread the word and inshallah everyone will be uh will get
[26:02]the tawab and the azure inshallah.
[26:03]And by the way you can also pledge for any amount and
[26:07]make it in payments.
[26:10]It does not have to be one time.
[26:11]And now let's give our hearts and full attention to our knowledgeable
[26:17]guest to our one of the best chia debaters with his beautiful
[26:23]lectures.
[26:22]Our brother Hassan Rajab Ali, please help me welcome him with loud
[26:28]salawat.
[26:27]Allah Muhammad Thank you father.
[27:17]Alhamdulillah.
[27:19]Alhamdulillah.
[27:25]Alhamdulillah.
[27:42]Muhammad Subhan.
[27:56]for I begin in Allah's name the beneficent the merciful Allahha has
[28:45]blessed us with this life and he has given us an existence
[28:49]that is very self-contained.
[28:51]>> [clears throat] >> Meaning that we have been fashioned in a
[28:55]very unique way.
[28:57]As we say, we are an incredible creation as a human race.
[29:01][snorts] Given the fact that we have emotions, we have intellect, we
[29:06]have the four powers.
[29:13]These are the four powers Allah has given us.
[29:16]And these each one of these powers enables us to reach closer
[29:22]to our potentials for why Allah created us.
[29:23]I've spoken about these powers that before but just as a as
[29:30]a quick in as a as a refresher as we say is
[29:35]the power of intellect.
[29:38]The ability to logically rationally understand the reality of our environments and
[29:44]of course the purpose in life in the future.
[29:45]Without intellectual power, we would be nothing.
[29:50]Uh is the power of imagination.
[29:54]My ability to project my future.
[29:59]My ability to imagine the outcome of my life.
[30:04]So if I'm a God-conscious individual, I am imagining the day of
[30:09]judgment.
[30:10]I'm imagining paradise.
[30:10]I'm imagining hell.
[30:12]All those capacities just like in the business world you're imagining making
[30:17]money you're imagining success you're imagining the new building you're building these
[30:21]are all the powers of imagination is the power of anger and
[30:32]here this power Allah enables me to be animated for it is
[30:39]anger that drives us in directions for fighting when When we fight
[30:43]for justice, we're driven.
[30:43]There's this adrenaline flow that makes us animated and sometimes of course
[30:50]in a harsh way but sometimes in a forceful way and that
[30:54]capacity is known as.
[30:57]So Allahh has given us the four powers and each one can
[31:04]be abused by el.
[31:05]The power of intellect can be abused.
[31:07]The the fourth power by the way is which is the power
[31:14]of desire and lust comes in that also that when you and
[31:19]I have a desire for partnership, we have a desire to procreate
[31:22]and have children, we have a desire to be hap to be
[31:24]comfortable and to be um indulgent in the pleasures of this world.
[31:32]There is this what we call shahy shahy and here Allahha enables
[31:40]us to drive us as a human race upon which to procreate
[31:44]and to um have desires because you remember Allah has created us
[31:51]as gregarious beings.
[31:52]Gregariousness means we are social beings.
[31:55]We love to interact with each other.
[31:58]From childhood we seek friendship and for the rest of our lives
[32:03]partnership is very important.
[32:06]In fact Harvard did a study one of the longest studies and
[32:09]they found that the most desirable thing for a human being is
[32:13]sound good partnership not money uh not fame not glory but a
[32:21]sound partnership where you have somebody that you can be comfortable with.
[32:24]That is the real drive of the human being enables us through
[32:31]that.
[32:32]Now you'll notice that Shayan abuses all the four people who use
[32:35]skewed logic who try to obuscate the truth.
[32:37]They try to you know what we call use sophistry in trying
[32:44]to manipulate the minds.
[32:44]They use the you'll find that shan makes us angry unnecessarily and
[32:50]tells us to go kill each other indiscriminately through anger which is
[32:56]once again abuse of that power.
[32:58]The power of imagination is Shayan makes us to indulge in hedonistic
[33:03]imaginations, pure carnal pleasure imaginations, imaginations that are short-lived.
[33:10]Meaning the the the value of being famous with, you know, with
[33:15]a lot of money.
[33:15]These are imaginations people go through, but they're all very short-lived and
[33:21]of course very much um with little value.
[33:24]And Eliss takes us in that direction.
[33:27]So you will notice that all these powers can be abused by
[33:33]el but by the same token they're also very positive.
[33:37]So as I mentioned yesterday that we have vulnerabilities and one of
[33:43]the the highest form of intelligence in a human being is not
[33:49]IQ.
[33:48]It's not memorization.
[33:50]It's not regurgitation of data.
[33:53]The highest level of intelligence is what you call metacognition.
[33:58]Metacognition is being able to to in other words to think about
[34:06]how you're thinking to look at yourself.
[34:10]The power of introspection is the highest level of intelligence.
[34:13]You will find that people who are introspective who are aware of
[34:19]what they do and they're aware of how they're thinking when they're
[34:22]talking.
[34:23]In other words, they are now multiple within themselves that while they're
[34:27]speaking, they are also in the dimension of observing themselves speaking.
[34:31]They're not in an oblivious state.
[34:33]They're in a very high level of alertness.
[34:36]You'll find those are the smartest people in the world.
[34:41]The people who make the best decisions, the ones who use these
[34:44]four powers, the four in the best of ways.
[34:47]For you will find that they now manage theirelves ultimately because the
[34:52]universe that really is within our control is not the outside universe
[34:57]but the universe that is within us.
[35:00]When Allah saysum oh you believe uh be wary of yourselves the
[35:12]self is what really matters.
[35:14]And for me to take myself within the three levels of naps,
[35:19]as I mentioned, you and I will not be able to take
[35:24]ourselves to higher stages until and unless we're able to control ourselves.
[35:30]Self-control requires a tremendous amount of what we call vigilance within within
[35:38]ourselves of what we call practice.
[35:41]And Alama in this book called light within me beautifully explains the
[35:46]journey of the way farfarer.
[35:50]The one who wants to reach and penetrate the curtains of higher
[35:55]stages of existence.
[35:55]As I mentioned we live in this in a state of mul.
[36:00]Then the higher stage is malakud.
[36:01]You know was in the stage of malakud.
[36:05]He worshiped Allah for thousands of years and Allah allowed him to
[36:10]penetrate the curtain and to be in the world of Malakut and
[36:15]Malakut is where the angels reside.
[36:19]We call Malika.
[36:21]It's in the world of Malakut.
[36:24]When Allah commanded the angels to bow in, you know, the command
[36:34]because it was given in the in the realm of the Malakutl
[36:39]though he was not an angel was included in this command because
[36:44]he was in the world of Malakut.
[36:47]Now what is Malakut?
[36:47]Malakut is where many of the curtains in life are removed.
[36:53]you're able to see things much more clearly and this is the
[36:59]irony ofl that his capacity to see was much greater than the
[37:04]average yet he rejected Allah to show you the highest level of
[37:11]kufur is when an individual is aware of the truth but then
[37:14]rejects it nobody is condemned more than the one who can see
[37:18]the truth and rejects it for if we're in a state of
[37:23]ignorance we can then seek forgiveness from Allah subhana wa ta'ala by
[37:26]saying that we didn't know.
[37:30]But the worst human being or the worst creation is the one
[37:33]who is able to see the truth and rejects it.
[37:36]Most people in the world today who follow their religions or who
[37:40]may attack Islam are in a state of ignorance.
[37:44]They cannot see the truth.
[37:46]They're lost.
[37:48]They're simply trying to protect their own identity.
[37:52]When Allah says every army fights for its own cause and it
[37:58]is only logical that people of Christianity and Judaism and Hinduism and
[38:02]Buddhism should fight for their own religion and one of the means
[38:08]of fighting unfortunately is the denigration and the attack of other religions
[38:13]which is antithetical to the very faith of one's belief.
[38:17]for the a true believer never attacks other religions in a in
[38:22]a derogatory manner.
[38:24]A true believer doesn't need to attack Christians or Jews or Hindus
[38:29]or Buddhists.
[38:28]You don't need to attack them.
[38:30]You don't need to denigrate them for Allah forbids that.
[38:35]Allah does not allow a believer to look at other religions and
[38:41]to denigrate them.
[38:41]Allah encourages us to have a dialogue with them to expose the
[38:49]truth and yet and yes while we're exposing some ugliness will show
[38:52]up but the intent is not to denigrate it is to expose
[38:55]that's different so when you and I have a dialogue with Christians
[39:02]for example Allah says say to the people of the book let's
[39:10]have a dialogue between you and us that we worship none other
[39:14]than one God.
[39:14]This is a dialogue.
[39:17]But the the idea here is that Allah says if you are
[39:22]aware of yourself and you know the truth then you will not
[39:25]violate the core principles of truth which is to be derogatory or
[39:29]denigrating to others for that is not the quality of a believer.
[39:35]The quality of a believer is to give everybody a chance.
[39:38]Notice when Mus Alisam is told to go to Allah says when
[39:46]you speak to use a soft tongue.
[39:52]Do not be harsh to Fyon.
[39:53]I want you to understand Fon was a baby killer.
[39:59]Fyon declared himself a god.
[40:00]If there was a kafir on earth, it was because he had
[40:06]heard that among the ban is children one will come that will
[40:10]destroy him.
[40:12]It's interesting.
[40:14]He was a non-believer.
[40:15]But he knew the truth.
[40:19]He knew something that was prevalent that was foretold to him of
[40:24]the future.
[40:24]Right?
[40:24]Though he was an idol worshipper himself, notice that he was aware
[40:30]of a truth that was delivered to him that among the children
[40:34]of Ban Israel will come somebody who will destroy you.
[40:38]But in his arrogance, you find that he decided to preempt just
[40:44]like what's happening today, the preemptive war.
[40:46]It's like the hand of Fon, you know, and he decided to
[40:55]kill the firstborn males.
[40:54]But Allah says they think that by preempting they'll have an upper
[41:02]hand by killing innocent children that they will have an upper hand.
[41:05]Notice this war started with the killing of 169 innocent young girls.
[41:12]That preeemption was no different than Fyon's preeemption of killing babies.
[41:18]But Allah subhana wa ta'ala consoles Mus Alisam and says when you
[41:24]go talk to him speak to him with a soft tongue.
[41:28]Do not be harsh for Islam is not a religion of what
[41:31]we call uh revenge.
[41:34]It is a religion of invitation.
[41:39]Invite them to the way of your Lord with kind exhortation.
[41:43]Even if your enemy is harsh, Allah is saying to MS, use
[41:49]a soft tongue.
[41:48]Maybe will be triggered to think of the and maybe he will
[41:56]change.
[41:56]Look at the power of hope in Islam.
[41:58]When Allah says, "Say to my believers who have gone astray, who
[42:13]have gone beyond their boundaries not to lose hope in Allah subhana
[42:16]tala." Some of us who do bad things in life, [snorts] we
[42:21]find that one of the conditions Shayan wants to keep us away
[42:24]from going towards Allah is that we stop gathering among God conscious
[42:33]people.
[42:32]You will notice it's a very interesting truth in reality.
[42:36]When people are bad and they do bad things, [snorts] they will
[42:40]use bad than those troublemaking Pharisees who were the Jews of the
[44:47]time.
[44:47]Jesusam is saying if you're not better than these people, you will
[44:51]not enter paradise.
[44:51]There is no guarantee in the Bible whatsoever that anybody can dare
[44:56]to say that just because you believe in the resurrection of Christ
[45:00]or the crucifixion of Christ that somehow you're guaranteed.
[45:03]It's a false idea.
[45:06]But the truth of the matter is that even we as Muslims
[45:10]when we beg from Allah, we wonder if Allah will accept us.
[45:15]And it's a good behavior to have.
[45:18]But Shayan takes advantage of that and tries to maximize that thought
[45:23]and said, "Yeah, how could God ever accept you?" What it does
[45:27]now is it it takes the impetus away.
[45:29]It takes my drive towards Allah away.
[45:33]I start to feel despondent.
[45:38]I start to feel becoming a loser.
[45:39]People who gamble for example, people who indulge in drugs.
[45:44]People who smoke, you know, yesterday when I mentioned even the day
[45:49]before, people who smoke arg, people who smoke weed, people who do
[45:52]vaping, people who do all these kinds of things, people who indulge
[45:58]in alcohol, if you study their root inner feelings, they're despondent.
[46:03]They have convinced themselves they're losers because you would never indulge in
[46:08]self-destruction unless you're convinced that you're destroyed.
[46:12]I would talk to alcoholics many times and I'll say this alcohol
[46:16]you're drinking is it good?
[46:19]They'll say no.
[46:18]I said then why do you do it?
[46:22]I don't know.
[46:22]You notice people especially who who work in very costic environments, harsh
[46:27]environments like carpentry, you know, the labor kind of work.
[46:30]You'll notice at the end of the day they're so frustrated with
[46:36]work that now they want to desensitize their pain and they start,
[46:40]you know, popping beers like, you know, kegs and kegs of them
[46:47]if you want to use that excessive example.
[46:49]But you find that you look at them, they know what they're
[46:53]doing is dangerous.
[46:52]And in fact, it also takes away their income for they always
[46:59]hand-to-mouth by Friday.
[47:00]They make very good money, $30, $40, $50 an hour, but at
[47:05]the end of the week, they're left with no money.
[47:09]It's because they have become internally convinced that they're losers.
[47:13]And as a result, they indulge in bad behavior.
[47:16]They indulge in self-destruction and they throw their money into gambling into
[47:23]what we call lust activities and as a result they're left penniless
[47:28]and shan has this cycle on them and many times I look
[47:33]at them and I said you know what you're not damaged goods
[47:35]and they look at you really I said no you're not you're
[47:41]not even even alcoholics anonymous they have those principles you know where
[47:45]you're going to follow those princip principles.
[47:46]The first principle is that there is a God.
[47:50]There is there is hope.
[47:50]So the Quran is saying don't lose hope in the mercy of
[48:01]Allah.
[48:03]Listen to the sentence.
[48:10]It's incredible.
[48:08]Indeed, Allah forgives all your sins.
[48:14]Wow.
[48:16]You know how often we are eager to condemn each other to
[48:22]hell.
[48:23]You know, we in the Abrahamic faith, we're experts in sending everybody
[48:26]else to hell.
[48:27]Christians say the Jews, the Muslims, they're all going to hell.
[48:31]The Jews say, of course, definitely everybody's going to hell except them.
[48:36]And then us Muslims too, right?
[48:38]You know, non-Muslims.
[48:40]And if you are Shia, then the Sunni.
[48:42]If you're Sunni, then it's a Shia.
[48:43]It's like we can't stop sending everybody else to hell.
[48:45]Now, why is that the case?
[48:47]Why why should we do that?
[48:51]You will notice that studies have shown that people with high IQs
[48:56]do not follow conservative politics.
[49:00]Conservative politics, if you want to use the terminology, is a very
[49:07]myopic form of politics.
[49:06]The GOP is built on fear.
[49:10]Christianity is built on fear.
[49:14]Fear.
[49:13]You're damned unless you accept Christ.
[49:19]You see, you're damned.
[49:20]You're born a sinner.
[49:21]It's fear.
[49:22]It's a fear-mongering idea.
[49:24]In Islam, you see, you are innocent until proven guilty.
[49:30]In Christianity, you're all guilty until proven innocent.
[49:32]It's the flip.
[49:34]But you will notice that intelligence dictates that the wiser you are,
[49:39]the more broadthinking you are and the more uh inclusive you are,
[49:45]the the the more ignorant you are, the more myopic you are,
[49:50]the more exclusionary you become.
[49:52]It's called myopia, meaning you're close-minded, single eyed, where you just see
[50:01]one thing.
[50:00]A believer should be broad-minded.
[50:03]Now, people have fear of broad-mindedness.
[50:05]So, let's say I have a belief.
[50:08]My Islam has protocols.
[50:10]There's Sharia, there's nasa, there's Tahara, there's now I'm going to invite
[50:19]Christians and Jews and Hindus to come.
[50:22]You're challenging my Sharia now because now the the nasa factor comes
[50:26]in like, you know, do I touch this person?
[50:29]This person gives me a handshake.
[50:31]This person offers me a water.
[50:33]Notice that myopic people say keep everybody out.
[50:37]Just us pure people should get together.
[50:40]Did you notice this?
[50:40]And then as a result of that comfort zone of myopia is
[50:46]to com to comfort our exclusionary behavior.
[50:49]We also have to condemn it.
[50:51]May it completes the circle.
[50:55]We are chosen people.
[50:55]And I want you to know that our choseness is also damnation
[51:01]for others.
[51:00]This is Judaism.
[51:04]Classic Judaism.
[51:03]Classic.
[51:04]Everybody's a goyam, right?
[51:06]Only they are chosen.
[51:09]Notice classic.
[51:08]You want to talk about ultra myopia.
[51:12]You want to talk about idol worshiing?
[51:15]There it is.
[51:17]Muslims who have such behavior, who look down on people of other
[51:22]faiths are no different.
[51:24]When Allah subhana t in the Quran is saying don't say that
[51:29]for I accept all of mankind all of you have the same
[51:33]principle by which to come towards Allah in the grace of God
[51:38]that when Mus Alisam is sent to Fyon who's an idol worshipper
[51:40]who's filthy who's a child killer okay you compound his evilness it's
[51:49]equivalent to some of these uh wicked people of the world today
[51:54]like the Epstein Yet Allah subhana t is saying to Mus Alam
[52:00]speak to him with a soft tongue.
[52:06]Wow.
[52:06]If there is a verse that nails it in seeing the rah
[52:09]of the dean of Islam, it is this that Mus Alisam with
[52:14]a staff could have struck Fon and beheaded him.
[52:18]could have made that staff turn into a snake into a python
[52:21]and he just rolls up the neck of and strangles him right
[52:27]power of imagination right we're imagining we could have done that Allah
[52:34]says leave him even think about how this conversation Allah is saying
[52:50]say to the rejectors the kafir the enemies of God I don't
[52:56]I don't worship what you worship nor will you worship what I
[52:59]worship and I will never worship what you worship my religion is
[53:03]mine yours is yours where does Allah say in this verse therefore
[53:08]strike them and kill them where Allah in in the verse Allah
[53:18]says if they desist then tell them we are Muslims.
[53:23]When does Allah say if they desist go grab them?
[53:30]Allah says there is no compulsion in religion.
[53:32]I love this sentence.
[53:36]Honestly, if there is a sentence that's my mantra in life, it
[53:40]is this that when I as an intelligent individual go and speak
[53:46]of pe to people of my faith and outside of my faith,
[53:50]Allah says follow this principle.
[53:52]There is no compulsion in religion.
[53:55]Never compel anybody to become a Muslim.
[53:58]Never compel them to follow your ways.
[54:01]It is forbidden.
[54:01]It is haram.
[54:02]This idea that the prophet went to people's doors and converted them
[54:09]with the sword is a big western what we call the enemy
[54:12]of Islam lie.
[54:14]But what I love about this sentence is the second part.
[54:18]Boy, this one really does it to me.
[54:22]There is no compulsion in religion.
[54:23]Truth is clear from error.
[54:28]So Allah is telling me there is compulsion but that compulsion is
[54:32]truth versus lies.
[54:34]So Allah is basically telling me compel yourself and others in truth.
[54:43]Wow.
[54:41]Notice how elegant that sentence is.
[54:46]You can't compel somebody by force but you can compel them by
[54:51]exposing the truth.
[54:50]Now who will reject that?
[54:54]Tell me.
[54:54]Even the most ardent what we call mendacious pathological liar hates to
[55:02]be lied to.
[55:04]If you're so proactive in lying, if a person is proactive in
[55:10]lying, they should love to be lied too.
[55:12]You know, let's get let's go into a lying party.
[55:15]We'll all lie to each other.
[55:16]We'll have fun while we smoke.
[55:19]You know, we'll just lie to each other.
[55:21]Does anybody do that?
[55:24]No, because a liar hates to be lied to.
[55:29]This is saying God doesn't change his system.
[55:42]God 2,000 years ago didn't change his system where Msa nobody worshiped
[55:46]Jesus.
[55:47]But suddenly when Jesus comes and thereafter now you have to accept
[55:50]Jesus as your pathway to God.
[55:52]That's a change in God's trajectory in his religion.
[55:57]For in one way, he's telling me one thing and then suddenly
[56:00]2,000 years ago, boom, it takes a turn, a 90° turn.
[56:05]How did MS say that Jesus is the savior of God?
[56:10]Ask them, did I talk about that?
[56:13]But Allah in the Quran, he says, maintain your faces upright.
[56:20]The of Allah which is the direction the GPS that takes you
[56:27]constantly towards Allah in the right direction.
[56:29]It is something that has been built in humanity.
[56:35]God doesn't change his creation nor does he change his system.
[56:43]This is the upright religion of God.
[56:48]the uprightness of a constant trajectory of the religion of Allah that's
[56:52]never changing eternally nor will it ever change in the future.
[56:56]So when Allah says there is no compulsion in religion, truth is
[56:59]clear from error.
[57:01]Allah is promising me that when you go speak to others, they
[57:04]also have the same fra you have that when you talk about
[57:11]honesty and and justice and love of God and rationalize the belief
[57:14]in God, the one God, the the fra gets activated and the
[57:18]other side starts to realize, "Oh my God, you're right.
[57:23]The divinity of God cannot be tainted by any external uh forces
[57:28]by which to add a son or a daughter or to say
[57:33]that God is split into parts.
[57:34]When you say that in the rational way, you are now compelling
[57:42]the other side with truthham.
[57:47]I promised you yesterday I will speak about prophet Ysef and I'm
[57:51]going to gloss over it because I think within this span of
[57:53]time I just need to sort of pick up the the salient
[57:58]points about Yufisam on the same principles that I'm talking about here
[58:02]that the power of introspection the power of inner um inner thoughts
[58:07]was the forte of prophets.
[58:11]Prophets were constantly introspecting.
[58:14]They were constantly examining theirelves.
[58:17]They were constantly talking to God.
[58:20]They were so aware of their actions that they were they were
[58:26]completely aware of their realities.
[58:28]Musa Alisam was like that from childhood.
[58:30]He was raised in the house of but he was acutely aware
[58:35]of the environment.
[58:35]And that's an advice that I give to all of us including
[58:40]myself that if you and I are going to succeed, we ask
[58:42]ourselves, how do I get closer to God?
[58:44]How do I avoid haram, right?
[58:48]How do I have hope?
[58:49]Well, Allah is clearly telling me have hope.
[58:51]No matter how bad you are, why would Allah send MS to
[58:58]Fyon?
[58:58]God should say he's damned.
[59:00]Leave him alone.
[58:59]He's doomed.
[59:01]No.
[59:02]Allah says there's hope in him.
[59:04]Honestly, the story of Mus and Fon to me is the most
[59:11]profound reality of being inclusionary.
[59:13]Inclusionary, not condemning, not saying, "Oh, this person is this, you know,
[59:18]they're going to hell." Never.
[59:18]When I sit with atheists, I sit with Christians, Jews, agnostics, I
[59:24]see them as my brothers and I see them as potential.
[59:29]And many of times with atheists when I've sat with them, they
[59:31]look at me like, "Oh, I never thought of that.
[59:34]Oh, I see your point." And I look at them and I
[59:39]said, "Look, probably nobody ever told him this." I remember after my
[59:41]first debate, there was a lady from Columbia University.
[59:43]After the debate, she looked perplexed.
[59:45]And my brother-in-law went to her and said, "You look perplexed." She
[59:50]said, "I am." He said, "Why?" She said, "I'm an atheist and
[59:54]all my life I debated atheism against Christianity and I thought I
[60:00]was right." Then I came to this debate and this was not
[60:04]Christianity.
[60:05]This was Islam.
[60:07]And my God, I realize how wrong I am.
[60:10]For it is easy to debunk Christianity from atheism.
[60:12]But Islam, what a perspective.
[60:16]She says, "I never realized the truth of the oneness of God
[60:21]and the existence of God from this perspective." So notice that you
[60:26]might say, "Oh, that's an atheist who's rejecting God." Yeah, maybe they
[60:30]are victims of misinformation and disinformation.
[60:33]Maybe they have suffered in life.
[60:36]When I listen to atheists make comments, I don't blame them.
[60:41]Many of their statements in in condemning religion, they are right.
[60:46]You know when they say religion is the opium of the masses
[60:51]or when they say that they have accepted a delusional god, a
[60:55]god who's vindictive, who's murderous, you know, who's destructive.
[61:02]They're right.
[61:02]They're right.
[61:04]They're not wrong.
[61:06]That statement is right.
[61:06]When people say to me, oh, you know, religion causes death, I
[61:09]said, you've generalized it too far.
[61:11]For certain the evildoers use religion to control the masses.
[61:18]Today what's happening in the occupied territories is being run by people
[61:23]who don't believe in God, who don't worship God, but my God,
[61:27]they use the name of God to steal the land.
[61:30]They don't believe in a God.
[61:35]You know, Theodore Herzel was an atheist.
[61:36]He was not a believer in God.
[61:40]And he proposed the Zionist idea in the early 19th late 19th
[61:45]century.
[61:46][snorts] The audacity to use religion as a front because you immunize
[61:51]a society when you bring God into the perspective.
[61:56]Emperors who are vicious, who are wicked, who murdered people gladly brought
[62:01]religion under their toutelage because it numbed the societies.
[62:05]It made people paralyzed.
[62:10]Do you understand?
[62:11]When emperors killed like Constantine killed his son Chrisus in the name
[62:16]of God, Constantine was a pagan.
[62:18]He decided the future of Christianity.
[62:20]He's the one who made modernday Catholicism what it it its origination
[62:25]was from him.
[62:28]He was a pagan.
[62:28]Eventually, he did become a follower of Jesus Christ and he became
[62:36]an Aryan.
[62:38]And Aryan was a unitarian, meaning he believed in Jesus not as
[62:41]God, but as an agent of God, Constantine.
[62:46]Okay?
[62:46]But listen to what he did.
[62:51]He killed his son.
[62:50]His name was Chrisus.
[62:53]He was 20 years old.
[62:54]He was a brilliant warrior.
[62:56]His son, he was smart.
[62:58]He was sharper than his father.
[63:00]Constantine didn't want the world to know his son.
[63:04]He didn't want to be what we call eclipsed by his son.
[63:09]So he kills him at a young age.
[63:10]He has the soldiers go kill him.
[63:12]But now look at the power of religion that when atheists talk
[63:17]about the abuse of religion, they're right.
[63:20]He said God killed his son.
[63:23]So what's wrong if I kill mine?
[63:27]I'm next to God.
[63:27]I'm an emperor.
[63:28]And the people said, "Yeah, that's true." and they became okay.
[63:33]Do you notice, by the way, when it comes to religion, you
[63:35]just have to mix it up a little bit, put a little
[63:39]God in it, put a little spirit in it, put a little
[63:42]verse of God in the Quran, twist it, and then throw it
[63:46]to the people.
[63:47]Say, "Oh, Sharia, you know, let's go in like ISIS.
[63:52]ISIS will hold a gun.
[63:53]Allahbar will kill innocent people." It's an abuse of religion.
[63:57]Very big abuse.
[63:58]And you think the Western world doesn't know?
[64:02]Al-Qaeda, the ISIS, they're all fabrications made by extremist groups who are
[64:08]using religion in evil ways.
[64:09]In fact, they are so bad they are worse than atheists.
[64:12]They are what we call.
[64:14]They come under the guise of religion.
[64:17]So notice how religion is abused.
[64:22]So when we listen to people who say this, it's because there
[64:25]is some sincerity in it.
[64:25]Their observations are not wrong.
[64:28]Nobody can say that everything an atheist says is wrong.
[64:32]No.
[64:33]In fact, I see them as what we call sanitizers of religion.
[64:36]People ask me, "What do you think of an atheist?" I say
[64:41]they are sanitizers of religion.
[64:41]They pick on things that you and I have taken for granted
[64:44]and they point at it.
[64:46]And I like that.
[64:47]They're like, it's like that big whale who's got barnacles, you know,
[64:51]and the whale can't get rid of the barnacles.
[64:52]And the little fish that come and eat on the barnacles and
[64:58]they clean up the well, those are atheists.
[65:00]Right?
[65:01]So what I'm trying to say is that should hold us.
[65:06]It's not for you and I to say, "Well, I'm a Muslim.
[65:09]Everything about Islam is right.
[65:11]Whatever my scholars and my parents and my community taught me is
[65:19]right." No.
[65:18]Never.
[65:18]This is one thing I grew up as a teenager categorically rejecting.
[65:24]I said I will not accept.
[65:26]I don't care who gives me what.
[65:27]I am going to validate it.
[65:29]I'm going to go through a thorough examination because I know the
[65:36]machinery of El.
[65:35]He is going to slip a bunch of these things into my
[65:39]psyche and then the next thing I will be believing in another
[65:43]religion.
[65:43]If you look at cults and you look at false religions, that's
[65:47]how they started.
[65:47]It was a simple suggestion of an idea that grew to become
[65:53]a big monstrosity that took a whole religion into a new religion
[65:57]and then it got a new title.
[65:58]So Allah subhana t is telling us don't lose hope in my
[66:04]mercy.
[66:05]This is fundamental very very important.
[66:09]Don't lose hope and hold yourself liable in the principles of truth.
[66:14]Now if I am active constantly thinking introspecting and I say I
[66:22]talk to myself one of the things that you you and I
[66:25]should do is when you go to sleep at night when we
[66:28]go to sleep at night before you go to sleep before you
[66:30]close your eyes quickly replay the day.
[66:33]This is a very simple strategy quickly replay the day.
[66:38]Okay, first thing you should do is thank Allah that you're alive.
[66:43]Then look at all the people you met as much as you
[66:48]can remember and analyze.
[66:50]And when people come to you and they shake hands or somebody
[66:55]says something at work, analyze why did that person say that?
[66:57]Don't go too don't be too anal about it, but look around
[67:03]and see there are lots of messages.
[67:06]Every day there are signs of Allah subhana tala.
[67:11]Which of my bounties will be me for?
[67:14]When you go to sleep reflect and then when you say something
[67:22]analyze what was my state when I said that and why did
[67:26]I say that?
[67:26]You know often when I lecture I'll go home and I'll replay
[67:31]my whole lecture in my head like why did I say what
[67:33]I said?
[67:34]What was good about my lecture?
[67:36]What should I avoid?
[67:39]I analyze myself.
[67:39]Why?
[67:40]Because I have a responsibility on this pulpit to deliver nothing but
[67:45]the truth.
[67:46]For that is what compels.
[67:48]Any other thing is a manufactured idea which Allah will condemn on
[67:58]judgment day.
[67:55]For if we mix our what we call vain ideas into conversations
[68:03]on pulpits or even in private when we talk to people when
[68:07]I sit with people I analyze talks about this he said [snorts]
[68:15]this way farer goes deep into their own introspection the it's book
[68:18]I would advise you to read is called light within me introduced
[68:22]by shade mutahari alamatabai And I immen three components each one is
[68:29]about finding your inner self because for sure even science has shown
[68:37]that metacognition is the highest form of intelligence.
[68:39]But research also also shows that the majority vast majority of the
[68:45]human race is not indulging in metacognition.
[68:49]Whereas the Quran is clearly constantly telling me take care of yourself.
[68:59]All you who believe save yourselves.
[69:01]Self is introspection.
[69:04]Deep understanding goes so far.
[69:09]And I honestly when I read this for the first time, it
[69:12]blew me out of the water because I thought Sharia was Sharia.
[69:16]You know, I'm a Muslim.
[69:17]Do your five daily prayers.
[69:18]pay you know zakat etc etc that's it just keep flowing till
[69:25]you die one day I remember many years you know uh before
[69:29]understanding great scholars like immen they said you know so I'm plateaued
[69:33]now that's it I just you know like the Buddhists you go
[69:38]ring the bells every day go hit the bongs you know whatever
[69:40]that's it nothing I I I can't fly to God like I'm
[69:48]limited When I started seeing the principles of Arfan and how the
[69:53]inner self can take you to Malakut likel who reached Malakut what
[69:58]is malakut you become shahid you start to become shahed god takes
[70:06]the curtains away and truth becomes so clear that you start to
[70:10]become 100% servant of god when Quran talks about those who are
[70:16]100% servants of God who don't bargain for any price those are
[70:20]in the world of malakud and you and I can reach it
[70:25]and shah mutahari talks about this also but discusses the initial journey
[70:32]of the wayf farer components sharia you don't commit any sins you
[70:40]avoid all sins you keep focusing on god but your main focus
[70:49]is you you.
[70:47]Allah says [clears throat] on that day no nothing will be accepted
[70:59]from you.
[71:01]Nothing will save you except the heart that has become tranquil.
[71:08]The heart is the heart of the self.
[71:13]Alama talks about this briefly and he said that believer eventually reaches
[71:19]a point of what we call out of body experience OBBE where
[71:23]you come out of yourself and you start to see yourself you
[71:28]become so uh quick in coming out of yourself all the time.
[71:33]This is metacognition by the way.
[71:35]When you come out of yourself and you're monitoring yourself, you are
[71:39]now the best critic of yourself.
[71:43]And if you and I can do this as I mentioned yesterday
[71:48]is when you will become that to come out look at yourself
[71:56]and say I am very much on this earth in a mission
[71:58]and every minute every second of my life demands that I monitor
[72:06]myself.
[72:07]How often are we quick in blaming others?
[72:11]People who blame others blame others because they don't do inner cognition.
[72:15]When you and I don't do inner cognition, we're quick to blame
[72:20]everybody.
[72:21]Because me, I am so scared of examining myself that the only
[72:25]solution is condemning others out there.
[72:28]This is why condemnation sending people to hell, for example, is a
[72:32]violation of this very core principle of introspection.
[72:35]For if I introspect, I will never send somebody to hell.
[72:38]Because my introspection will tell me I'm an agent of God.
[72:44]And every creation is an agent of God.
[72:46]And everyone has been blessed with existence.
[72:49]And therefore, Allah says, "Engage.
[72:52]Take this person who thinks they are damaged goods.
[72:54]Bring them closer.
[72:56]For the hope lies in all, including Fyon." This is really profound
[73:01]if you really think about it.
[73:03]Right now, you will see that when you have an out-of- body,
[73:06]by the way, the military trains its soldiers to do obbees.
[73:09]I don't know if you're aware of this fact, but out of
[73:11]body experiences is is a prevalent uh behavior that can be practiced,
[73:20]right?
[73:18]Where you actually come out of yourself and you become very much
[73:23]aware of yourself.
[73:23]When we go to sleep, for example, sometimes when you're in that
[73:26]suspended state, you see that sometimes where you see yourself while you're
[73:30]sleeping.
[73:32]Allah mentions that that we take the soul out of the body
[73:36]when you go to sleep.
[73:37]These are all components of metacognition that Allah is enabling us at
[73:42]all times to be aware.
[73:44]So I please I advise us all now in this in the
[73:49]in the verse that I started with this Allah says we don't
[74:00]put a burden on the self except that which it can handle.
[74:05]This is this is huge.
[74:05]When you and I feel overly burdened and we feel like the
[74:11]world is collapsing on us and we've had those moments in life
[74:13]sometimes we feel extremely overwhelmed right with difficulties.
[74:18]Know that this verse is telling you you're not overwhelmed.
[74:22]Your power can hold this because Allah never puts a burden more
[74:29]on a person than they can handle.
[74:31]Now sometimes we feel overwhelmed because we have caused our own pain.
[74:36]We have bitten or taken more than we can handle.
[74:41]Sometimes we do this because of greed.
[74:43]Sometimes we do this because of ignorance where we go out and
[74:47]take something and get into businesses and we become greedy and now
[74:50]we want to conquer the world and we can't handle it.
[74:54]So please be very careful.
[74:56]People who do metacognition and people who do introspection will be very
[75:00]careful and modulated that every time they're about to have an opportunity
[75:04]they will measure how much of this will burden me and what
[75:09]is its net result and what is my net profit in it
[75:13]in terms of spirituality especially not material but spiritual profit.
[75:17]I advise us all to do this.
[75:19]Now in here Allahh beautifully explains Allah does not impose upon any
[75:24]soul a duty but to the extent of its ability for it
[75:27]is the benefit of what it has earned and upon it the
[75:31]evil of what it has brought.
[75:31]Meaning you and I are responsible for our transactions completely.
[75:35]The good we do is for ourselves and the evil we do
[75:39]is for ourselves.
[75:39]Allah is clearly laying this foundation for humanity.
[75:42]All of the human beings are like that.
[75:45]Right?
[75:46]Then Allah gives me a dua and I want to focus on
[75:48]this dua very beautifully.
[75:51]You'll find that in this dua, our Lord, do not lay upon
[75:53]us a burden as you did lay on those before us.
[75:58]We're asking Allah to relieve us of the gravity of this trial.
[76:01]Now, this is amazing because Allah says, "I will lay a burden
[76:06]on you." Notice Allah is now telling me, "Ask Allah not to
[76:11]lay the burden on me." Like, wow, this is amazing.
[76:14]You would think that by nature burden has to be laid by
[76:20]God.
[76:21]No.
[76:22]No.
[76:23]By nature the law of transactions and collisions is you will be
[76:27]burdened in this world because Allah has allowed limited free will.
[76:30]And because people can practice evil, evil will come and touch us.
[76:38]And that's a burden.
[76:38]This is Jew loss of materials because the evil forces will cause
[76:44]us to lose our families getting killed for example in a war
[76:49]or indiscriminately by a by an evil human being.
[76:52]Right?
[76:53]So here Allah is telling me engage this to change your destiny
[76:57]because Allah says Allahh says God doesn't change the affairs of a
[77:05]community until the community changes themselves first.
[77:09]So Allah is giving me a dua.
[77:11]I I'm leaving us with this is verse number 286 of surah
[77:15]Bakar.
[77:16]Please focus on it.
[77:16]It's a beautiful dua to recite inut.
[77:18]There are so many duas in the Quran.
[77:21]So many.
[77:23]You want to find a good spouse?
[77:25]There's a beautiful dua in for example.
[77:34]It's a beautiful verse.
[77:37]I think it's verse number 74.
[77:39]It's autout.
[77:42]Read these.
[77:44]Read these duas.
[77:44]This is what consoles the self that while you and I introspecting,
[77:50]you need the degree and the spirit from God by which to
[77:53]flank this realization that I am this human being that is examining
[77:56]myself and there's a tremendous amount of what we call precariousness and
[78:00]weakness in me.
[78:02]How do I strengthen myself lest I go and condemn others?
[78:05]Lest I go backbite, lest I go find faults in others, lest
[78:10]I become very defensive when people expose my negatives.
[78:13]No.
[78:14]Oh Allah, when people expose my negatives, let me swallow it and
[78:19]own it and let me go and analyze it for that one
[78:23]who's criticizing me may be my best friend.
[78:26]Many times you and I love when we're praised.
[78:29]It's a beautiful thing.
[78:32]But constant praising leads to a fixed mindset.
[78:34]Research has shown that when children, even adults, when they are praised
[78:40]for the work that they've done, they refuse to grow.
[78:43]When you look at a child who's done well, and you start
[78:46]keep praising them, excellent, you did a fantastic job.
[78:51]The child feels I got the trophy.
[78:54]Now you give them another challenge, the child will refuse because in
[78:59]their mind, it's that trophy.
[79:00]I don't want to lose the trophy.
[79:01]For now, if you give me another challenge, I may lose the
[79:04]trophy.
[79:04]It's called a fixed mindset.
[79:06]You'll find children get denigrated when you praise them too much.
[79:13]Some parents praise their children excessively.
[79:16]Like my child, you know, classic Jewish, you know, motherhood, my son,
[79:21]Harvard, you hear that?
[79:22]It's not only in the Jewish community, it's in our community, in
[79:25]the Muslim community.
[79:27]We love to praise our children.
[79:28]Oh my god.
[79:30]you know five give five minutes to somebody they want to let
[79:33]you know how great they are or their families that is a
[79:38]fixed mindset that person definitely has no growth that person if you
[79:41]pro them they will be like a house of cards they will
[79:43]fall a true believer appreciates praise but they see it as one
[79:50]more step to a higher goal so the ideal situation in our
[79:56]children is praise them and challenge them the next thing say to
[79:59]them my love this was excellent what you did now I want
[80:03]to see if you can do the next thing what you're doing
[80:05]now is this what we call a growth mindset not a fixed
[80:11]mindset you understand when research was has shown that human beings who
[80:16]are excessively praised get stunned a believer has hope in Allah that
[80:21]when you say I've done on myself and I am in that
[80:25]state ofah it's a positive thing to say yes, I'm deficient, but
[80:32]not to the extent of damaged goods, but to the extent of
[80:35]saying, well, now I need to straighten up and tighten my belt
[80:41]and move on to the next stage.
[80:43]This is the real believer.
[80:44]Our prophets were like this.
[80:46]In fact, had had the jin doing all his work.
[80:50]Think about it.
[80:52]He had the wind taking him in directions.
[80:55]Allah gave him the power to use the wind.
[80:59]Think how powerful Sleman was.
[80:59]Yet in the night he would lock himself up in the in
[81:04]the rooftop of his palace and he would be doing al and
[81:07]of Allah and he'd go into sujud and he would say my
[81:12]lord I am nothing.
[81:12]When in the Quran look how beautiful Allah describes this.
[81:16]Allahh says is riding his magnificent horses.
[81:20]The ants are talking.
[81:24]The leader of the ant says move less Sullean crushes us.
[81:27]He understood their language.
[81:28]The power of language with insects that Sullean understood this.
[81:33]Allah is teaching me.
[81:35]Look at my prophets.
[81:36]Look at how high they were.
[81:37]Look how successful they were and look at their power of metacognition.
[81:45]Their level of introspection.
[81:47]Watch.
[81:46]This is a excellent example of metacognition.
[81:50]So Leman is riding in his pomp and glory.
[81:53]How often would you and I be be cognizant of ourselves?
[81:58]Like when you and I go to weddings, you ever see people
[82:00]in weddings?
[82:02]You can't talk to them about Allah.
[82:04]They look at you like I'm living a fantasy, brother.
[82:08]The music is here.
[82:09]You know, don't you see my beautiful dress, my peacock?
[82:13]All my feathers are Don't you just love this?
[82:20]Can't you just glorify me?
[82:20]You say, can you be introspective?
[82:24]Like what's introspective?
[82:25]Like doesn't exist.
[82:28]I'm extrospective.
[82:30][laughter] I'm just I'm in the facade.
[82:34]Sullean is riding his horses with his military.
[82:38]The insects are talking.
[82:41]Power of introspection.
[82:44]I tell you when I read this verse in surah n I
[82:51]cry every time he pulls the reign of the horse he stops
[82:53]he looks up and he reads a dua a dua you and
[83:00]I should be reading in kunut just like this that Allah don't
[83:03]don't put burden on us don't punish us if we forget or
[83:08]make a mistake listen this is the dua no 286 our lord
[83:11]don't lay on us a burden as you did lay on those
[83:12]before us.
[83:14]Don't impose upon us that which we have no strength to bear.
[83:16]Pardon us.
[83:18]Grant us protection.
[83:21]Have mercy on us.
[83:21]You are our patron.
[83:23]So help us against the unbelieving people.
[83:27]So Leman looks up and he says something.
[83:28]This is deep.
[83:31]I can't express it.
[83:31]All I can say is please put the the dots together because
[83:36]wisdom is the power to put the dots together.
[83:41]I'm throwing knowledge but wisdom is connecting the dots.
[83:44]Connect it please.
[83:47]A prophet of great stature.
[83:49]Incredible power.
[83:52]Such power was never given to anyone before or after.
[83:55]You take all the Illuminati today, they have trillions and trillions, 500
[84:01]trillion dollars.
[84:03]They can you cannot compare their wealth with the wealth of Sullean.
[84:06]Sullean had more wealth than that.
[84:08]and more power but he wasn't drunk in it.
[84:13]People Imam Ali says when you are rich fitna starts and when
[84:26]you are poor you are stressed.
[84:27]Imam Ali mentions this man is extremely rich extremely powerful.
[84:33]You know, you walk into a room and everybody knows you are
[84:38]the ultimate.
[84:39]My god, it's so easy to be arrogant.
[84:42]This is why Shayan fell when he went to Malakut.
[84:45]So Raman pulls the res.
[84:50]He looks up.
[84:49]He says, "My Lord, invoke in me gratitude." Look, he's pulled the
[85:04]res.
[85:05]The insects are talking.
[85:06]He's already grateful.
[85:10]He's saying to God in such a humble way that he's saying
[85:14]to Allah, invoke in me and so that I should be grateful
[85:28]for what you have given me.
[85:28]Invoke in me.
[85:34]Who would remember their parents at that moment?
[85:37]You're in you are in the grand facade of power.
[85:41]Who has time to remember their parents?
[85:44]People who introspect, people who know their selves understand the reality.
[85:51]They never lose focus of what was mercy to them.
[85:55]For the closest hand of mercy from Allah are your parents.
[86:00]I always say you want to touch the hands of God then
[86:04]touch the hand of your mother and your father for that is
[86:09]the closest thing you will touch to mercy of Allah.
[86:12]says, "Make my deeds like those that you are pleased with in
[86:23]my actions and place me among your most chosen servants." He's begging
[86:32]God to be placed.
[86:35]So I conclude with this.
[86:39]Ysef Alisam in s Ysef as you know was thrown in the
[86:45]well went through a lot of difficulty and then as you know
[86:47]he was put in prison and in prison Allah positioned him in
[86:53]a very unique way.
[86:53]He made the believers he made the disbelievers believers in prison and
[86:59]Allah gave him the power to interpret dreams.
[87:03]But the timing required that he should be in prison.
[87:08]The women were after him.
[87:08]He said, "Yeah, you know, in other words, my lord, prison is
[87:17]better than what these women are asking me to do." The timing,
[87:20]you notice he's begging.
[87:23]The women are after him.
[87:24]He wants to escape the women.
[87:25]Allah has a better plan for he needs to go to prison.
[87:31]He needs to wait for there comes a disbelieving king which Allah
[87:34]subhana ta gives a dream to and there's a future to Egypt
[87:39]m and the future was there's going to be seven years of
[87:44]windfall and seven years of drought Allah is foreshadowing a non-believing king
[87:49]but that king became a believer he was called a natun when
[87:54]Ysef met him he made him into a Muslim look at the
[87:59]power of Ysef.
[88:00]He needed to be in prison.
[88:02]When the dream came, he was in prison.
[88:04]Right?
[88:05]The king is asking, "Who can interpret my dream?" Nobody could.
[88:09]Luckily, the wine presser who was with Yu and Ysef gave him
[88:12]advice.
[88:14]He called him all my companions in prison.
[88:20]He guided them and he showed them their vision.
[88:22]And it came true.
[88:24]For the first one was going to be crucified and birds would
[88:26]eat from his brain.
[88:29]The second one he said that you will press wine and you
[88:32]will become a wine maker for your king.
[88:35]Tim timing.
[88:36]Now I'm moving very rapidly on this one quick point then I
[88:42]end.
[88:40]You'll find that when Yufisam now reaches a position the king is
[88:47]very impressed for nobody could interpret this dream.
[88:49]Look at the opportunity.
[88:50]Brothers wanted him dead.
[88:53]Throw him in the well.
[88:54]He's now put in the metropolis.
[88:55]And now something amazing is happening.
[88:59]Look at the timing.
[89:02]My brothers and sisters, please understand this.
[89:05]This is our life.
[89:05]This is not only YSU.
[89:08]This is you and me.
[89:10]Honestly, you and I always wonder, oh, that community has done this
[89:15]to Allah says, I have a plan.
[89:17]I have a plan for you.
[89:17]You don't know.
[89:20]Oh, why am I going to prison?
[89:22]Don't you love me, God?
[89:24]Did Ysef complain?
[89:29]No.
[89:28]He was connected to God.
[89:31]His hope was with God.
[89:32]When Zlea locks him in a room with many doors, he says,
[89:37]"I seek refuge with Allah." Allah.
[89:40]My God, it's so deep.
[89:43]Now, I'm fast forwarding a little bit.
[89:45]As you know, Ysef Alisam was so loving [snorts] that he forgives.
[89:51]When his brothers come, they don't recognize him, by the way, because
[89:54]they were so material, so worldly, they couldn't see the real self.
[89:59]This is their brother.
[90:00]So when they recognize him, Ysef says to them, "I am your
[90:06]brother." They are stumped that you're the one we threw in the
[90:09]well.
[90:09]We were hoping you were dead.
[90:11]You are this person.
[90:13]Now when he interpreted the dream according to the Quran, he says
[90:17]to the king, "Allow me to manage your affairs.
[90:21]Give me the treasury." The king says, "For sure, for you are
[90:25]gifted." In fact, after he meets Yuisam, the king turns around and
[90:32]says, "What a blessing to have met this man." It's in the
[90:34]Quran.
[90:35]What a blessing.
[90:37]The king said, "I have met a man of God." What a
[90:39]blessing.
[90:40]Ysef looks at him and says, "Allow me to manage all your
[90:43]affairs." He becomes the treasurer of Egypt.
[90:46]Treasurer.
[90:47]And then he puts all the grain in silos after he tells
[90:52]the king that we're going to have windfall and then we're going
[90:55]to have a drought.
[90:55]It was during that period of the drought when Egypt survived.
[91:00]That king now was so impressed with Ysef.
[91:02]He says to Ysef, "I want you to dress yourself beautifully." And
[91:10]now he's standing near the throne.
[91:11]And this to me wah is incredible.
[91:17]First of all, his brothers who threw him in the well, he
[91:20]welcomes them.
[91:22]He forgives them all.
[91:25]How Allah says they hold their anger and they forgive mankind.
[91:37]Ysef If I look at the story, you and I would be
[91:39]you my brothers caused hell for me.
[91:41]You threw me in the well.
[91:44]You are jealous.
[91:44]How many of us hold this when we hold this what we
[91:49]call hatchet.
[91:49]Allah is saying look at my prophets.
[91:53]Do they have hatchets?
[91:53]Look at my prophet Sullean.
[91:54]Look how rich he is.
[91:58]Is he proud?
[91:57]You know how all that comes?
[92:01]It's through cognition.
[92:02]This one to me is the ultimate.
[92:06]Ysef Alisam reaches this point where now he sees 11 brothers bowing
[92:10]and his father and his stepmother all bowing to him.
[92:16]He's standing there magnificent.
[92:18]That moment needs to be here.
[92:23]Jealousy led to the most incredible position of Ysef.
[92:29]How did you become the treasurer of the richest nation on earth?
[92:33]Egypt at that time was the metropolis of the world.
[92:38]Allah says, I plan never lose hope in me.
[92:44]And when people are jealous of you, you hold on to me
[92:47]and watch what I give you.
[92:50]Now, what Ysef said to me just blows me out of the
[92:55]water.
[92:56]And I end with this.
[92:56]When he saw the brothers bow, he remembered that he said this
[93:02]to his father.
[93:03]But look at his reaction.
[93:08]He doesn't say, "Aha, here I am." You know how often we
[93:13]get self-centered like the great one has entered.
[93:17]No, not at all.
[93:20]Allah says, "Take a lesson.
[93:24]We're going to give you the best story.
[93:28]Honestly, connect the dots.
[93:32]Make this your life.
[93:32]Anytime you have a problem, go to the Quran and follow this.
[93:40]Hold on to it and you will see results.
[93:44]He looks up in the sky and he says, Listen to what
[94:03]Ysef said.
[94:03]My God, in the annals of history, you won't find a human
[94:07]being do that except prophets of God and imams.
[94:13]Like IM Hussein as he's being struck he says we submit oh
[94:17]Allah to your command.
[94:18]These kinds of people are the people you and I should resonate
[94:23]with.
[94:24]Our heart should pulpitate.
[94:25]Ysef looks up and says my lord you gave me this world.
[94:30]You gave me this world.
[94:35]You taught me how to interpret dreams for that was my exit
[94:41]from slavery.
[94:43]This was my exit.
[94:43]Notice za is giving him an opportunity to exit.
[94:48]She saidal come to me.
[94:53]He says this is shan.
[94:53]Allah says my yu is he is pure.
[94:57]He is born pure.
[94:59]He will die pure.
[95:00]Allah says he's then he says look how he's turning to God.
[95:11]He says you are the fashioner of the sky and the earth.
[95:16]You are my master in this world and in the hereafter.
[95:25]I'm saying of a person standing on a throne and his brothers
[95:31]have bowed.
[95:30]His father who is their prophet of God, Yahub, a great prophet
[95:37][snorts] is also bowing.
[95:37]My God, you can't get it better.
[95:39]His mother, stepmother is bowing.
[95:44]You and I cannot get out of this thought unless you introspect
[95:47]and have connection with God.
[95:49]where he says to he's saying to Allah that you are then
[95:57]he says something that's most incredible he says let me die a
[96:05]Muslim my God you are the best Muslim that ever lived on
[96:11]this earth what are you saying he says you have no understanding
[96:15]for my consciousness tells me that without God helping me to die
[96:20]a Muslim.
[96:21]I will not die a Muslim though I'm a prophet and put
[96:27]me with the righteous ones.
[96:31]What a prayer to me.
[96:31]This is the dua you and I should pray to Allah that
[96:38]we should have even 10% of this 10% 20% inshallah 90% that
[96:41]you and I should walk and talk the footsteps of such prophets.
[96:47]I pray to Allah subhana wa ta'ala that he gives us strength
[96:52]in this month of Ramadan while we have a few more days
[96:54]left.
[96:55]I can't invoke enough dua and spirit within us that we should
[97:02]pray to Allah subhana wa ta'ala that we increase ourselves towards Allah
[97:07]in spirit in vision and you know by the way when you
[97:10]see the truth you never get tired you know many times I
[97:16]get tired of prayers I get tired of Islam no when you
[97:20]see the truth you never get tired in fact the more you
[97:23]get it the more satisfying it says, "That's what you and I
[97:28]want.
[97:38]for may Allah bless us all inshallah and protect us in these
[97:58]difficult times and give us tranquility and security so that we accomplish
[98:02]what Allah created us for and inshallah if there's one thing you
[98:05]and I we beg Allah is that we become more conscious conscious
[98:10]of ourselves.
